Good question. There are three main people (you can see it in our whitepaper) working on this. Everything has already been built, we are just in final testing. We have already funded everything initially and are looking to raise additional capital to bring on more developers. We don't NEED the funds for presale, it would just help us bring on more developers sooner.

I believe this to be a nice project for students helping them to get that passive income and i also like the idea of been able to get other school items online and most importantly, been supported by some schools hopefully to be used for  tuition fee payments. This is an education coin, just like the other five similar projects that I saw here in last two months....  What is your main privilege???  Did you talk with college or university management about cooperation???

We are student focused, not college focused. Other coins are more concerned about making money from colleges and universities, or they want payments to be for online only schools. We're focusing on saving the student money by giving them the opportunity to use coins at their bookstores or online textbook rental companies. It's definitely different than the other education coins out there.

Additionally, we are offering scholarships twice yearly for students! :-)

I think that's partly why people think it's not going to be a high ROI coin. We're ok with that. We are trying to make sure we're growing slowly and organically as opposed to being a super high ROI coin that people start dumping like crazy, crash the price, and it fizzles out to nothing. We'd rather it have slow growth with steady returns for our investors (students, miners, and masternode holders). I think with our plan we will do just that. We just launched on June 27th so we're still in the early stages. We just got listed on Graviex today. We really like them because they are easy to use and they are now accepting fiat deposits.
For bookstores, we can't go out to market ourselves until we have a good coin supply out there.

Right now we're working on additional exchanges, masternode advertising, and developing our mobile wallet. Check out the roadmap on our website for more info. I can tell you (as a professor at a university) that we're getting a lot of good looks our way from students and administrators. So that's a good thing to have in our back pocket! :-)

For Collegicoin, to help students earn passive income and solve the problem of tuition or they can use these coins at online facilities such as textbook rental companies, school bookstore and School supplies ... are a great thing. But in order to do so, the project needs close cooperation with universities and online shopping facilities. Did you do this well?

We will. We are working on our mobile wallet and app now. We have to have something to offer them. Slow growth is where it's at for us. We need everything in place before anyone can expect to have universities on board yet. That's why we're also starting with online textbook companies.

It is with great sadness that I advise I must step down from administrative duties for our coin. I realize that while I have a great passion for this project, the project itself has evolved beyond my capabilities. Look at your first ann page, only broken pictures, even this you can't fix... When I'm looking to your github repo and see ZioFabry is working on in I know all... I think Zio makes a lot of money now for projects without any dev... nice for him, bad for you.

You have even not the money to pay the few bucks for MNO after the wallet update...

This is an old thread. However, ZioFabry is very knowledgeable in crypto and personally help me out many of times without compensation. If you feel the MNO listing is a concern, feel free to send .5 BTC and renew the listing. I agree that Moneta / Alex Karpinskiy was a set back in the project, but he is gone now. The project is very much alive and Development is moving forward.
