This is a veriscan bar, if you can download thr PAMP Suisse app, you can have this bar verified as authentic in minutes.   Doing that would go a long way to promote buyer confidence.

Unfortunately, he has been given several steps he can take to prove the bar is real and hasn’t. So I believe this venture to be a waste of time.  He HAS an iPhone and could have taken 5 minutes to verify the bar.  He likely would have gotten $400+ more for it if he had.

I'm sure it's genuine.  Why would he sell it at a local pawn shop for $1,300 when he could get $800 and the opportunity to pay shipping and escrow fees while trusting some strangers?  ::)

It's easy enough to send it to a trusted escrow who has the tools to verify the metal content.

Minerjones , myself or lesbiancow can test this bar easily.

If anyone has any doubts about its authenticity, I would not solely rely on a scan on packaging as that can easily be replicated or faked.

If the seller agrees to have the bar tested as part of the sale , then I see no issues , if not then id steer clear.

Apologies for going OT but I thought you deserved an answer.  Unfortunately no, trust is not moderated and AFAIK only the Admins are able too. 

The best one can say is fortunately the scammers feedback on you is untrusted so for the most part no one will ever see it.
The scammers account however is now useless with all the red paint splashed on it.

1.  You held an auction, not a sale, and should have followed thru with the sale at the final auction price.  Auctions are a contract between the host of the auction and the bidders.  The bidders are agreeing to honour their bids should they win.  The sellers are agreeing to honour the terms they set forth at the start of the auction.

2.  Your gold bar is fake.  You know it, I know it, dazedfool sure as fuck figured it out, and most importantly the Pamp Suisse scan proves it.
