To be fair, Lonero's founder is building this entire thing with no ICO. This means he is taking a cut in a project he is spending months of his time on with no clear indication of its future market acceptance. This solely relies on technological knowledge and capabilities. Also read the whitepaper....

but once it hits off in exchanges, people will not remember that 20% is allotted to the founder. people tend to forget easily. sometimes they dont even know that kind of distribution. they will just ride the hype. so do we see bright future here? we cant tell yet. just dont buy in exchanges if you dont believe in this project. plain and simple.

The GitHub is empty due to the fact that beta release have not yet happened in the timeline, this is an announcement of the planned release. Obviously Lonero will have the demo and source code when the coin is launched. Also keep in mind as stated, this is getting launched without an ICO. Criticism is fine, but the community should look more into the whitepaper, mission, and what Lonero represents.

Lonero will be different from Monero, in terms of technological infrastructure and diversity of use cases.

Just to let you all know, once the bounty program is live, the Lonero team will likely start offering some bounties for whitepaper translations.

Lonero isn't just another cryptonote coin. Lonero utilizes some of cryptonote's protocols, but also integrates its own unique technology into the mix. Please read the whitepaper, then add some insights.

Yes, the creator is financially independent given his previous startup experience, making Lonero have all what it needs for continued development.

If the creator is financially independent giving Lonero what it needs for continued development, why the large allocation to Lonero CEO, CTO and the Foundation? Along with design and marketing and content and media, 35% of the total supply is with the Lonero team. That is worrying.

To be fair lots of altcoins and Bitcoin forks are vulnerable to a 51% attack. Also many different cryptos with multi-billion dollar market caps who have done ICOs, have the creators making sometimes up to 34% in the block explorer. The difference is they aren't as transparent about it and have still went ahead raising funds for their project. Lonero is self funded as of now, this means the creators own crypto and own personal money goes into ensuring this project is a success. This means 65% will be already available for people to test out and mine without investing in it. This is how many of the large, decentralized, and legitimate cryptos were formed. Also in order to sustain future development or expansion, we may later on liquid small percentages of Lonero, but as of now this is the tokenomics structure for the community.

why without ico ?

An ico isn't needed when one has the capital and skills to build the project they want

Lonero doesn't have an official explainer video yet, but plan on having one and demo videos in the near future. However, Lonero has a really nice whitepaper and can answer anything regarding its core technology.

Yes a prototype is on its way in the timeline, also the board team is all what is needed right now. No need for Lonero to do an ICO and we can list on the trading exchanges after beta released and a large enough user base.

A good project to think about the future, here the founders get 20%, this sometimes makes envy but seen from the performance that has the full responsibility I think is also not a problem. The project looks intriguing indeed... except for this unbelievable proportion: 55 M tokens to the public and 30 M tokens controlled somewhow by the devs. This is likely to kill the interest towards this coin - or something will happen like it happened to Zcash - someone will fork it and release a less centralized variant of the same.

Yes, right now Lonero is working on the beta release and the bounty campaign, but plans on working towards getting listed on some exchanges like Bisq after the release.

Yes, Lonero offers numerous of advantages over BTC including the better mining integrations and DAO extension. The whitepaper explains everything. Infastructure wise, the nextwork will be upgraded over time and Lonero wants to one day eventually break the "support for over 24k transactions a second" milestone.

Right now, not fully sure. Lonero expects a very large market cap but wants to get a price based on what the user base, difficulty target, etc. will be. Maybe even a valuation prior to listing, but price will be dependent on the difficulty target of the genesis and market appeal.
