With progressively positive voices standing in support of Bitcoin, it stays to be seen whether it will actually increase in value significantly until the end of this year or whether it will remain around this levels. What do you think about it?

The noise is getting louder about bitcoin, soon the herd will follow and boom...we see bitcoin at 40000 $ or even more. The press will start adjusting accordingly, they were very critical a few weeks back

Given the way Bitcoin’s price has skyrocketed over the past year, it is very difficult to discern the fundamentals that can help us figure out its inherent value. As a matter of fact, when I started researching this article, the price of a single Bitcoin was around $12,000, 2 days and half an article later, the price of the same Bitcoin stand at $17,500. Bitcoin will surely rich to 20K by the end of 2018.

The investors are still hopeful that the market will hit an upward curve and will recover from the dip. The moment BTC hits more than $8k, then it means that the market has begun the bull run. And this will happen soon.

Undoubtedly, bitcoin will grow in the future. I'm not sure that by the end of 2018 its price is $ 40,000, but to return the positions to 20,000 actually this year, which will give a good platform for further growth.

Soon these things will be true, but I want to be cautious until then. We must stay calm until the price really rises.

There are only 5 months left until the end of the year, and the current price of Bitcoin is only 7340$. It will be very hard for Bitcoin even to reach it's ATH of 20.000$, because people will sell to take out profits(because they will be scared of another dump) and won't let the price of Bitcoin to grow so much.

It is very difficult to follow this subject. The decline period took a long time. I think the rise period is starting now.

Bitcoin awareness is increasing among the people each year. Many financial experts have predicted that bitcoin can go between $50,000 and $100,000 by the end of the year 2018. Despite all the fears, price falls and negative feedbacks; price has been exceeding everyone’s expectations.

There is high probability that Bitcoin is going to surpass the milestone of 40k this year. If you see the way it’s going towards the milestone it looks like an easy target to accomplish. Let’s see what is going to happen.

Well it is true, after severe correction and consolidation phase btc seems to be ready for bulls, if etf gets approved i think 50 to 60k is expected and if etf does not gets approved still we can expect levels of 25 to 30k in my opinion, lets see what market brings next.

There are so many people who predict about this, especially the traders. they are very confident that bitcoin prices later this year will reach more than the end of last year.
and I have the same opinion, in addition to many predictions, the situation is very strong with the support of all the things that exist today.
and I think this year more are interested and even many countries are starting to agree with this world of crypto then bitcoin will be more valuable because of it !!!

bitcoin has a very good position in the market now it's growth are almost very satisfying but we can't judge the whole market based on one coin and this are not very stable here anything can happens anytime so it is hard to predict if the cryptocurrency will able to reach the expected target or not

Since March nobody talks about bitcoin on corporate media. Since now every corporate media started manipulating news about bitcoin. I guess its time to understand that  bull is coming. At the end of the year who knows maybe it will hit $50k?

I think yes, because Bitcoin has a lot of fundamental news for its future growth. For example Samsung allow the cryptopayments in Baltic region.

I think bit coin is at a very good stage. It developed many thing and it also have some good project right now. I believe soon we follow the boom. From my view crypto currency can hit 40000 this year

I do not think so. Perhaps the price of the bitcoin will be 10,000$ after the end of 2018. The market will not be able to recover so soon.

I believe that before the end of the year, bitcoin will increase in value significantly and it will even get more demands than supple so that this will also help the price to rise. Bitcoin is a very good coin and I am sure that as soon as the market recover from the fall and the market become more stable, then the price of bitcoin can grow very fast.

it's to early to forecast that value, if market recovery to the peak value on Jan 2018 (800 Billion ) is very good, hope it happen in Q1 2019

Expect the BTC and alcoin holder BTC to return to the old peak. Certainly happy for everyone. Currently, the investment in digital money is still small, it is not a big investment channel of investors. Certainly when the investment capital is not large, the BTC price will not increase

As far as I understand for researches bitcoin can hit the score easily by the end of this year. At least it will go as near as possible. But this is crypto world where anything can happen anytime.

I think bitcoin is hard to hit $ 40,000 this year. Over half a year passed bitcoin prices have not progressed well. Will the miracle happen in the future? I hope that happens. Bitcoin prices are high I will make a lot of money.

If the recurring increase as it did in the past year makes everyone amazed, Price will touch $ 1000 even more than that.

I sincerely don't think this is possible. 20K$ is also looking like a distant dream for this year.

Well everybody is waiting ETF news which could take us to bull run, last years bitcoin futures start the bull run and this year ETF might start the bull run again but it all depends on whether or not SEC will approve it, but there are strong indication that it might be approved. Let's keep hope alive.

Previous summer it grows up to 3000$ and than falls down to 2000$. I thought it was hard time not to panic and sell. In winter 2017 I saw that had made a right choice.

The value of bitcoin will rise. But I don't think it will touch the $40K level this year. But this is crypto and anything can happen there.

Good day! Honestly I'm still in doubt whether it will rise up to 20k$ this December. We have been expecting the cryptocurrecy market to recover last June but didn't happened. In fact it even went down. But I'm hoping it would, so we could recover some losses from the past few months.

No question when it comes to Bitcoin price increase potential but no one really knows if we would able to surpass ATH on this year or even on next one. Inspite on seeing those positive news circling around but it wont still be a guarantee that we would able to reach that 40k price that you had mentioned. Lots of speculations everywhere about such ATH but no one knows on when it would happen. The important thing is that you should be wise on how you would set yourself to ride on the waves.

I think it will reach again $20000 this year but $40000 is too much and in few year time bitcoin will be around $40000 if everything goes well. There are some countries that hasn't decided whether to accept it or ban it but once they start to accept we may see price will reach new ATH in no time. 

hopefully this year would be a green year. the first half was just over. and I don't see any sign that it would rise in other half :(((

and 60k$ is the target to me. cause last all high time, it was 20k, so triple the price isn't a very hard thing :v

In the last months of the year, bitcoin and other crypto currency will grow in price and there is no doubt about it. However, judging by the state of the crypto-currency market and generally the state of affairs in the crypto-currency, this year we are unlikely to see a good growth of bitcoin, to which we expected at the beginning of the year. Therefore, I do not think that by the end of the year, bitcoin will rise to $ 40,000. It is most likely that bitcoin will rise to somewhere between $ 15,000 and $ 18,000. The price around $ 20,000 can be a psychological barrier when people do not want to invest at this time in bitcoin, remembering the sad consequences of such an investment last year.

10 seems to be connected to decisions to go out for agust for now. However, it may not affect too much. The previous g-20 summit had little impact on prices.

I think it is not that easy to estimate the price. As the Bitcoin market is very volatile and currently it's price is increasing but i have doubt about the fact that it will reach $15000-$25000.

It is very difficult to make predictions in this sector, because there is a very bad crisis for about six months and it is not known when it will end. Anything can happen at anytime. Though it's hard to predict future. But, the way the demand for bitcoin is increasing, reaching that amount is not impossible.

The price is increasing gradually and I think by the end of this year it will reach a peak. It is hard to predict how much it will rise but certainly it has the potential to reach $40k. Lets see what happens.

Now there is a lot of positive news on the crypto currency, and the cost of bitcoin will most likely not stand on the spot but will grow. Therefore, it is very likely that we will reach the level of 40,000$ before the new year.

It depends on the market demand condition and we all now bitcoins demand is too much high that’s why i hope bitcoin will reach $40000 at the end of the year.

I'm sure the bitcoin price will increase until the end of the year, but to reach $ 40000 will be difficult considering it is already in the middle of the year. However, there are still many possibilities for bitcoin passing through $ 15,000.

If this is true even I would go to invest all the fiat cash into Bitcoin and wait for get the big bonanza as op said. If it is missed what to do that is what my real worry is about the bitcoin price fluctuations.
As like everyone I too like to get the bitcoin price go bigger in the market and want to make the money with that.
But likely some speculation getting success here and there. May be in some days I may invest some money on ETH and Neo in livecoin.net

Even currently bitcoin is in an uptrend I don't think it will go to 40,000 in this year but maybe hit 2000 at the end of 2018.

It takes a lot of good events and big changes, so that bitkoyn cost 40,000. I do not think that this will happen this year and the next one is the same.

Hello i think you are optimist , and dreamer. I think max price per bitcoin will be around 14K USD . Because it is already old and slow blockchain , in our days there are a lot of new and fast project with very good and famous team!

BTC can still rise above $50k this year. All depends on the market sentiment and public awareness. If we get institutional funds, then nothing is stopping btc this year.

the market was just adjusting, we just need to wait for the arrival of big players

Bitcoin is old but still no one can replace bitcoin on top. The value today are still good, and I still believe we can make a new ATH again. We gain so many support in the past days with bitcoin and I know this is just a beginning of a brighter days with bitcoin. Yes a lot of new coins everyday, but still no one can beat bitcoin.

I think it will be on its level as i is, because good news or bad news market dont follow any news anymore. We have a lot of speculative movements from whales, who knows what they will decide to do, we will see.

40K for BTC is entirely possible especially if the ETF will be approved by end 2018

$40,000 for this year has been said by Michael Novogratz last year and other predictors too said the same thing for this year.

Very possible and we've been hoping that by upcoming August 10 it will be approved.
This is like a suspense drama that we have been waiting for, if it gets delayed its okay but let's all hope for the best.

It would be too great if BTC will reach $ 40,000. I will be glad even if price will recover to January level. But also higher price and more hype mean that more newbie investors will join community.

The price of the cryptocurrency in the end of this year may increase as well. but I don't know what you mean with $40000, is this the BTC price prediction? I'm not really sure about it. But, for some years later, nobody knows. It may happen. But for this year, it is very difficult.

The price of bitcoin will determine on the amount of news that will be hitting the space, If good news keep happening to crypto space then the price of bitcoin will keep on going high, news like ETF approval, coinbase getting approve to list security etc.

At this moment, we can't really tell if it is possible for its market value to reach as high as that knowing that its price from the beginning of this year continuously fall and is struggling below 8000usd. But since there are still months remaining before this year end, there's a little hope that its market price will again go skyrocket just like last year. For now, be patient and hold because huge profit is on its way once the market starts to continuously recover.

Surely, by the end of the year the prices of bitcoin and other crypto currencies won’t be the same. According to me, bitcoin will reach mark of 20k-25k$ by the end of this year 2018. 40000$ doesn’t sound impossible, but it’s highly unlikely as the dip in the prices is quite much. It’s still time for the crypto’s to see bullish trend. Nothing can be said for sure though as the market is highly volatile and can see rapid growth or drop in values.

Yes, of course Bitcoin can hit $40,000 this year, or with the same likeness it can hit $3,000 this year. It is just a guess, nothing more.

Media is the major cause for the spreading of fake news and FUD among people. In India, it was only said that crypto is not considered as a legal tender and shall be treated as an asset rather than currency, but media showed it as ban on crypto currencies which caused panic sell among people all over India driving the price of bitcoin and other altcoins low. The situation is balanced as off now as the FUD is cleared and the regulations are being set up. Surely BTC will boom by the end of this year.

Why always blame external elements?

It's clear by now that the media is financially incentivized to publish content, regardless of its nature. In the end it's the dumb ass rookie you should blame for everything, because that rookie swallows it as truth, shares it on social media infecting other rookies, and then sell the market down. In other words, the main source of evil in this industry is people's ignorance, not the media spreading fud or governments with their regulations.

The sooner people understand how things work (ie, educate themselves) the less effective fud will become.

I think the bullish trend has already started. The price of Bitcoin is rising higher with each passing day is which is a very good news for the investors. I think it might rise up to 30000 dollars by the end of this year. Let's wait to see what happens.

At the beginning of the year I would have confidently said that Bitcoin could easily overcome forty thousand dollars by the end of the year, and today I say it is very difficult. The volatility of the crypto market is pretty high as it is not backed up by any institutional or banking money and is highly decentralized. Bitcoin is controlled by no one, yet by everyone who holds it. 20000$ by the end of 2018 seems quite possible for bitcoin. Even 40k$ is possible, but is somewhat unlikely as it would require high market cap to get to that point. Just stay positive and HODL until that day comes.

Bitcoin being decentralized has nothing to do with its price. Everyone with enough coins and fiat can do with the price what they want, and we have experienced that this year more than once.

Not really. Hodlers contribute in the way that they keep as many coins out of circulation as possible. It grants whales even more strength because they can more easily pump the price with how thin the market is.

If you buy less coins on the way up, you have more fiat left to use to create higher tops. If you're using a leading exchange as Bitfinex to manipulate the market from, the rest of the industry will follow swiftly.

All the weak hands will be out of the market after this bearish trend and only firm believers and investors will remain, which will provide more stability to the market. Bitcoin has strong support at 6000$ mark and strong resistance at 8000$ mark. If BTC falls below 6000$, the next stop will be near 4000$ and if it breaks 8000$ resistance, it will skyrocket and reach new heights. Let’s stay positive and hope for the best.

It is almost the rule that in the last quarter, cryptos prices are rising. This trend has been confirmed for several years, the most notable of last year, when several currencies generated profits in thousands of percent. More and more institutions attract investment in the world's most famous virtual cyrpto - bitcoin. By the end of the year, an increase in bitcoin should be made. I think that it is only a matter of time when ATH bitcoin is overtaken, but i estimate 40,000 $ for the next year, end of next year 2019.

I don't actually believe that Bitcoin will reach the price of 40000USD at this year. It doesn't seems like true thing. That's just hardy can be imagined. But in crypto industry wonders happens from time to time.

Bitcoin will definitely increase gradually, but it won't go to the moon like last year. Why? Because many whales/sharks are using other altcoins to absorb money from Bitcoin!

I think the price target that you mentioned will be very heavy because the current condition of the price of bitcoin falls very deep and it will certainly be very difficult to be able to increase prices again.

Market is not just something that would raise all of a sudden within a short period to start attaining different and new ATH. It is far more than that, and the earlier some people started realizing that there is process and a gradual movement for everything than calling the moon every time or expecting a bull run that is not reasonable, the better for them. 40000 is a lot and we would even be lucky if we manage to go retest the previous ATH by the end of the year, which to me is still a lot bleak from where we stand now.

There is nothing to even start imagining in a prophecy that is not even realistic in the first place. Apparently, this is just someone's idea of telling the community that this is what I want at the end of the year, but does not mean it would happen anyway and it won't happen as far as I am concerned, unless there is just some serious news to instigate some big move in the market.
