I haven't seen any TV ads about crypto. Maybe this is the moment that this great invention be known to public and mainstream through TV. There are still a lot of people who doesn't know anything how the blockchain works so this would really help them and this can invite more adopters to crypto.

I am very surprised that the FUD are now fading away and the talk here in bitcointalk.org are becoming more positive. Series of positive news are now going into bitcoin and the community is high spirit. Also if this keeps coming many people will join bitcoin and will not doubt bitcoin again. Hope more of this news are going to appear and the blockchain tv will play a big impact on the growth of the community.

This is great news! People have to be educated about cryptocurrencies, learn about bitcoin and blockchain technology. However, the partnership with Crypto Crow seems like not the best choice to me. His videos are too speculative and investment-oriented. Plus, he makes some ICO reviews from time to time. I think that it would be a lot better if educational videos like huge interviews or animated lectures appeared on TV and informed people about governmental and institutional policies, technological development and potential etc. Otherwise people might get the wrong impression about what cryptocurrencies are about.

That's right, if crypto ads can enter on TV, I'm sure 100% crypto will grow. But this time it is still difficult, for ads on Facebook and Google alone is still in the limit, especially for advertising on TV.

I agree with you on this. It seems like FUD has been consumed by the huge increase in bitcoins value even just for a week and it's showing a very good performance in the market. Hoping that this uptrend will be grinding slowly till we its value will touch again around $10k within the next 2 months.
It's definitely for real bro. Blockchain is one of the best inventions so there's no doubt that people will embrace this technology. TV ads can really invite more people into the crypto space. So we will be expecting huge spikes few years from now.

Those who haven't heard about the technology and will be interested will definitely find time to watch for them to learn at least the basics.
Don't you know that an average American will always take 4 hours of their time watching the TV? So this will really impact the performance of crypto market.

Another good news for Crypto and Blockchain/

While the idea in itself is great, I don't think that this will gain much attention knowing that a large percent of people has since moved to internet for their entertainment needs and only a few, non tech-savvy people are staying in their couch browsing through the channels of TV for a few hours a day. Most of these people are the ones who are too old to understand what bitcoin is or why is it even existing. Overall though, this is still publicity to get the word out, and we all know how curiosity changes one's POV on a subject.

There are still people who are relying on televisions and have their time to spend watching TV so this is still has a good effect. Everything that has been on national television gives too much effect and people who are just sitting on their homes will get to know more about it since it's on TV.

That would be fantastic, if it is true. Crypto needs as much public awareness as possible ;)
It's beneficial to all of us here.

As for a third world country like us, it won't be possible to learn about crypto in an instance the moment they saw the ads in television. We are far from being technologically advance, what more to cryptography. We only have farmers at most and works that only uses human power. If only government projects will support education to countries abroad for young generation, teach their fellow folks when they got home. It may happen-people will be educated more.

We all know that people are already moving into internet but still you can't just ignore the fact that TV is one of the greatest medium in advertising. I myself spent most of my spare time in the internet but I still find time to watch news and some of my favorite TV series using the TV. I just wanted to tell you that there are so many investors that are not tech savvy but are investing into something that they think they can profit from. So with this news, advertising the blockchain technology in TV is one way of reaching out to those people who are potential investors that doesn't spend so much time in the internet.

You shouldn't call your country a 3rd worlder. There's no such thing as first world 2nd world. The internet can be accessed anywhere in the world. You may be living in a poor country but it doesn't mean that you are not as intelligent and informed as to a 1st worlder. We are living in the same world so stop that non sense talk about you being in the third world.

this is great and great, and the advertisers on tv are very helpful and will have a positive impact on the wider community who do not understand fully about bitcoin.

The community always does this when the price movement starts to change direction. People post things relating around to their feelings, you must remember this.

But back on topic here, I don't think this is going to do much to Bitcoin. This segment is going to be a small section on the fox business channel (due to the fact that it won't reasonate with most people and it's not going to bring them in revenue with advertisers) and it's going to be mostly related to blockchain tech being used in companies. That's the innovation that investors want to hear about, they don't want to hear about our random volatile currency of Bitcoin.

I recommend that you research before posting any news. I am not saying that this news is not real, but I did a quick search and did not find an authoritative source to issue this news.
No TV channel posts any news before making sure that this is a legal announcement, so I do not expect to post for cryptos before checking the legal status of Bitcoin/altcoins.
Also, I expect the big whales to create advertisements for their coins/ICOs and promote it on those television channels. "I do not expect to see a service announcement accepting Bitcoin on that channels."

this is not that surprising though since it has been the same for many years. each time there is a drop and anticipation of a drop the FUDs start coming out from all sides and so far in the past 6 months or so we have had drops  so it was like the dream for those who spread FUD.

as for this news, it is interesting to see how they pay a lot more attention to the technology instead of bitcoin and eventually it is bitcoin that is gaining attention because of it.

Bitcoin has been hinted about on numerous occasions on the hit TV show Mr. Robot which I think a lot of techno nerds know of. Now, this 'blockchain television' sounds like Fox network are going to do a business talk show about Bitcoin on a weekly basis analyzing market trends and covering crypto news etc. However, I am not sure how appealing this type of a show would be for the general audience when there are already Internet podcasts and live streams on multiple online streaming platforms dedicated to discussing crypto investment tips and, most importantly,  they are readily available every day.

It is also a great help to investors in case these happenings happen because people are sure to choose the legit and sure that it's not a scam later

This a huge stepping stone for blockchain technology, with already increased popularity this will pave the way for blockchain technology to go mainstream, as a result many people will be interested in the technology and will eventually learn about cryptocurrency. Blockchain technology is the future and there is no better way than getting it mainstream.

There are crypto company ads in Eurosport. For example the "HDAC" technology always advertise their products. I think in near future there will be many crypto ads.. And also it will help to grow and will make more marketcap. I will watch it daily thats for sure:)

FOX Business Network will join CBS and Cheddar in hopes of capitalizing on the growing interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. The national network will do so through a new segment ‘Exploring the Block’ which will be featured on the television show ‘New to the Street.’

So there really might be crypto shows headed to television. This is all well and good for as long as they don't spend all their time shilling altcoins. This should be about education and awareness IMO. Anything less and it may be counterproductive as far as adoption goes.

It’s about time. I wonder how the haters would react when they see some of the most influential people in Wall Street starts appearing on Blockchain TV. Will they still call bitcoin a Ponzi Scheme?  :)

Yeah, if this is in fact true, the only real motive behind such a move is obviously to capitalize on it. They've got to catch more viewers somehow, right? I honestly can't handle the quality of news that comes out of FOX. They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel when they come up with stories as far as I'm concerned.

That goes to say that they might not be covering crpyto in a positive light. Hard to say at this point, but how do we know what the slant of this show would be anyway? They'll attract some attention mostly by sensationalizing the whole thing, and then they might even spread some subtle FUD with it.

I'm not really too surprised by this, given how much popularity cryptocurrency has gained.
Television networks also have to keep up with the times or they'll risk losing over more of their audience to people who watch the news exclusively on the internet.

Who knows whats next? They might start showing the Bitcoin price at every news broadcast perhaps :P

Great news indeed. I was actually wondering when blockchain and crypto will be entering television. I think this is still one of the best platforms to educate the masses about crypto technology. This is a huge step forward in strengthening people’s trust and solidifying a future with cryptocurrency.

If this will be fully implemented soon then we can surely see an a very good performance of the crypto market due to adoption of lots of investors. Wow! I am really amazed to hear something like that. First google price converter, then Facebook ad allowance and now TV. This is really a great news as it will put an effect in knowing about Crypto-space amongst many people connected with Fox Business Net. when people talk about bitcoin on TV and when it grows - it reminds me of December 2017. At that moment it was spoken about everywhere and it turned out badly for beginners-investors

What would be really great is if blockchain actually solved some problems in the real world, instead of spawning thousands of projects with nothing more than whitepaper and site. This blockchain television only shows that the irrational hype is still strong and uneducated people are ready to throw their money at everything with the word "blockchain" at it, just like two decades ago people were doing with dotcom. Won't be surprised if this blockchain television will be promoting shitcoins like Ripple, just like CNBC did during the last bull run.

Fox network shows some broadly different views on many things and I am curious to see how they will represent this. I dont think crypto ads are new on TV. We have seen many already and we will see more.

I'm hardly an expert myself but I've seen some of these crypto youtubers and they pull newbies into crypto with false information and their lavish lifestyles.

I think the television media plays an important role in the news about the weaknesses and badness of crypto, especially for bitcoin. mainstream television media becomes a frightening specter for those who always watch it. and I do not think it's effective at this moment in every television coverage.

And according to research there are more people who watches television and even spend most of there time in front of television. Television advertisement is a good thing for the popularity of bitcoin, this may lead to bitcoins increased in popularity at the same time more users will be encouraged.
