Title: MiningColocation.com is a scam!
Post by: Genexsus on August 15, 2018, 02:00:34 AM
Hi,

I has been a customer of that company since March.  They installed my five S9 antminers a month later of what was planned.
Ok, it was a little delay.  Since April my miners were online and mining without problems.

But in the last weeks i has been dealing with some time offline, ok, could happen.
But now since almost two weeks they put all my miners offline and sent an email that have some problems with the datacenter where they host the miners and that was the last comunnication i had from them.

They dont answer emails, they dont offer to send me back the miners, and they dont reimburse the months pay in advance.

So people, please dont trust this company. Im going to start legals complaints becouse i have all their info.

Better write it on Scam Accusation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) and explain it using format that already wrote on here Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0).
People usually know if they scam from there, and probably some people can help you too.

Do as the user above you suggested.

One thing I do want tot point out is that people should avoid dealing with 'businesses' hiding themselves behind a whois privacy wall. In 90% of the cases these businesses end up scamming people one way or another, and this could have been prevented by not using them. It's a simple but yet extremely important indicator that people keep ignoring unfortunately.

I wouldn't even be surprised if the same entities behind miningcolocation run similar businesses under a different name.

Hi,

My name is Jay from MiningColocation.com and act as one of the owners of the business. I'm abhorred at the comments being written about users that make unfounded conclusions when they haven't done any business with us. Contrary to the general sentiment in the thread, we aren't scammers and we are not affiliated with any other scam websites. Our only scam complaints are from the users who have not even purchased hosting for even a single miner from us. We already host over 500kW of miners between our two facilities in Montreal and we are currently in the process of expanding to sustain the tremendous influx of demand.

Here are some pictures to prove that we do in fact host miners and provide a legitimate service to our customers.

We host at ROOT datacenter located at:
19701 Clark Graham Ave.
Baie-D'Urfe, QC
H9X 3T1

I'm deeply saddened by how unsupportive the members in this thread have been towards our growing company. Simply because we have not provided access for tours doesn't make us a scam. Due to the sheer volume of inquiries, it would be impractical for us to provide tours of the facility to all our potential clients. Please understand that we operate in a Tier 3 data center and accommodating the hundreds of inquiries for tours would detract from our current human resources allocated towards providing exceptional mining services for our clients. Despite this, I have seen the community as a whole being supportive and helpful, so I would greatly appreciate it if these accusations were not made especially with no concrete evidence.

Thank you,
Jay (Co-founder)

And this:

I don't know about others but I had a pretty terrible experience with this company. Placed an order for 10 s9s FEB delivery and they came back 10 days later to tell me they cannot fill my order, even after I called and verified they have my order, and I'm not on any kind of a waiting list and my miners will be delivered in Feb. I think they are running a bait and switch, since they told me that I can still get the miners for march delivery (for same price! LOL, what a joke).

Stay away

It seems they are a dark company, hire a lawyer and report your case to the police.
