Title: Is there a required amount before you start trading?
Post by: Impulseboy on September 10, 2018, 05:44:56 PM
I was wondering if there is a required amount of bitcoins you need to have before you start trading? Also, a little out of topic, but is there a required amount that a person needs to be earning per month before he could start buying bitcoins?

I would hold instead of doing day trading unless you know what you're doing in and you'll probably need large amounts to make any considerable profit. As for buying bitcoins, I believe that you can buy as little as 2$ in Coinbase.

Each user has his/her own budget to start with. As we always say, don't invest what you can't afford to lose, but lower is the amount lesser are the profits.
Once you hit the break even, you can spend all the profits you got to buy bitcoins with or compounding could give higher profits in a longer term

Start the amount of you are willing to lose, the more you spend in trading the more it risk, if you trade small amount the profit you will get is also small. But if you use big amount the profit you will get will big, so choose before you trade.

Some exchanges may have minimum order/deposit amounts requirements, but in general terms - there's no minimum. In most cases, there's a minimum age requirement though, you need to be an adult to trade, and judging by your post, especially the second question, I sense that's not the case with you.

I don't understand the question in the way you mean it but I'm aware you don't need to have any particular amount you earn before you start buying bitcoin. I think you can do that by buying from an exchange or p2p, convert your fiat to bitcoin simple.

I agreed with the other posters here we do not need any kind of big amount to start a trading habit.

You can start low buy you earn low why? It is because of the percentage of one amount. If you put a kind of big amount you can win high but sometimes it still do depend on the situation of the cryptocurrency market.

Here remember this...

1. Hold if a big drop to red.
2. Sell it high.
3. Buy low.

Like in a store and a businessman who buy low and sell thing in a high right price situations.

There’s no required amount in both of your concern, you can invest anytime you want at any cost. But if you want to be more profitable try to invest more. $500 can be a good start for you. The only limit is your knowledge and experience, if you are not good enough in investing learn more, and try to start small when you don’t have any experience.

To start trading, we are obliged to have capital, it is used to buy coins that we will trade. the amount doesn't need much because trading can be started by buying cheap coins. besides that we don't need monthly income when we want to trade, all we have to have is capital and that can be obtained from anywhere. a trader starts from a small thing and with his experience traders become someone who is financially successful.

I advise you to deposit a small amount for trading and learn how daily trading works or for long-term trading because if you invest with huge amount without trading experience you can lose it all. So, if you start at low you can lessen the risk of losing a large amount of money in trading. Start at small then learn the basic (buy low and sell high) until you know how the market works. After you gain some trading experience, you can use them in your future trading then increase your trading funds slowly to maximize your trading profit.

of course there will be a certain amount that is good to start trading, don't give too much money in the trade and also not too little is just being mediocre because the current trade is very risky where all prices are unpredictable and keep going down every time

Before you begin to trade you need to learn the basics of trading on the crypto exchange, and also learn the technical and fundamental analysis. Learn to control your emotions. Because if you are not well prepared, then you are very much at risk of losing your money.

Trading is risky so you should use money that willing to loss, and for the better use maximum 1% of total your money. And then try to multiple that money in trading by compound strategy. If you have management of money, disiplin and trading plan you have probability to make that money up to 10 to 50 times in 1 years from crypto trading.

There is a required amount of money one should have before trading, and this ensures that one don't spend all his capital on withdrawal charge.
Before one start trading ,he should have like 100 dollars, and at the same time consider the coins he should buy because there coins one will buy in many units with100 dollars ,and there are expensive coins one can buy only 10 coin using 100 dollars.
Sometimes, the withdrawal charge of that 10 coin one bought might be 6 coins leaving the person with only 4 coins.
There are coins one can buy about 4000 coins with100$ of which the withdrwal fee might be 200 coins .
If you compare and contrast ,you will find out that there is amount of money one needs to have before trading depending on the coin and exchange one is using.
In bitmex,if you trade with small money there is possibility one might spend the money on withdraw fee.

if you are new to trading it is better to start with holding some good coins. Cryptocurrency trading throws out many conventional rules of trading and you should always make your own choices. However, it is important that you have some kind of formula or strategy when trading, chaotic trading can be a disaster.so do a good research before starting.

A clear amount or suggestion is not going to be right, but there is a fact that there must be trades in this market with a budget of at least 50-100 USD. It is definitely the right choice to start with operations when we feel we are ready to do things with low amounts to get enough experience. I think this would be beneficial if the budget is not kept as high as it would be with the initial budget, because it is inevitable that it will be harmed while experiencing here. For that reason, starting with a money in the budget I mentioned, and increasing the amount you have developed here will certainly be the most beneficial result for you. In this sector, as seen from the outside, low price, then high price. It is possible to lose that profit margin with the commissions when the low profit margin is already obtained.

There are no required amount of cryptocurrency or bitcoin to get started with crypto trading, it only depends on how much you can afford. But for newbies like you, it's not preferable for you to start crypto trading without an enough knowledge about on it, because it really takes a lot of risk to those traders who lack of knowledge about it, and this only causes losses to those traders.

I think trading skill and the knowledge is more important than the capital, a skilled and well knowledgeable person can start with $100 and grow it to over $1000 whereas the inept person can blow a capital of $1000 in 1week.... Whatever you can afford to start with, as long as it is equally to the minimum requirements for trade in some exchanges, one can start with it

The exact amount of each determines for himself, everything is very individual. It can be precisely said that this should be such a volume of money that it is not a pity to lose.

Yep, starting small is always better and then invest when you are knowledgeable enough in the market. There is no minimun amount required but you have to consider also the fees, and other things. Take note that this market is very risky, there is no limit you can earn more and you can also lose more.

The first time I started investing only spent $ 10 in my pocket and I started on the local exchange. Usually in local exchange there is a minimum limit for someone to start investing and you can read the rules of each exchange first. However, to get passive income depends on your way and your knowledge of price predictions.

Nope, But before you make any deposits in any exchange you should read your TOS and make KYC. this is very important. And always do research before using any exchange

but is there a required amount that a person needs to be earning per month before he could start buying bitcoins?

You do not need this, you just buy bitcoin whenever you can and then you can trade. you have no idea how many things work, I recommend doing research here in the forum, google and youtube. PS: Never invest in hyip/ponzi sites, because you will lose money.

We need money to create money but I think everything is depend on you, try with any quality asset is good because the result is depend your strategy. Invest/ trade in long term period need more money than short/ medium term period, in many cases what I say is true. Try to collect money ( crypto ) with free way and use it to test your strategy is better than enter the market with your own money, specially right now. It's just suggestion, like or not up to you.

Interesting, because a few weeks ago my bank asked me if I want to invest in their stocks. I did not agree to it but I would be lying if I say that it was not tempting. Do you mean that losing money over crypto is bigger than when the stock market is down, but it also provides higher profit than stocks? Also, can I use PayPal to buy cryptos?

No, there is no minimum required earnings per month before you enter the crypto market and trade. Although, you need a bigger capital to realize your gain/loss from your investment. A price movement of -/+20% on a $10,000 is significantly higher than $1,000. But, you can always start small, keep the profit, move on to another trade, repeat with a bigger capital. Also, don't forget the golden rules in investment: You should only invest what you can afford to lose, and never put all your eggs in one basket.

The profit you make will depend on how much you invest. The more you invest, the greater your chance of profit and vice versa. If possible invest a relative amount, about 3000-5000$, which is a good start for beginners.

Of course NO. You can start trading with any amount of Bitcoin at your disposal. No matter how little you think it is. You just need to sharpen your trading skills so as to increase the figures of Bitcoin you've got. Also, you should always have itin mind that; you are to trade with any amount of BTC you could be at least be comfortable with, if you loose part of. This is not gambling, market is just somehow recently unlike last year.

Also, you need not have a steady amount of earning before you start trading, no matter how little or big. That's the more interesting thing about Cryptocurrency trading. You have the free choice of trading at your own discretion. No regulation on the amount to trade with or the amount that must be earned. No tax on amount earned or traded. It's a free world in the cryptocurrency trading m, reason why investors and ICOs are increasing by the day.

You needs to be earning per month as much as you need for your life with your needs. Everyone has a different amount for their life. Therefore, focus only on your embezzlement. Also from your salary you have to  put aside a certain amount of money. If your salary is enough for you, plus you can put aside a certain amount, then you can allocate some money for yourself. The main thing is that is money that you will be ready to lose and you will not regret it. On the crypto market, no one will give you a guarantee that you will earn, so be ready to the losses.
You can start trading with any amount that is minimal on the exchange for trading. For example, you can now allocate $100. On them you can buy any currency that you like. Then you can trade it for any currency (its amount can be a sum equivalent to, for example, $ 4 or $ 10).
But before you start trading, learn all the necessary information. This is a technical analysis and the impact of fundamental analysis on the price of crypto currencies.

If you want to earn monthly profit from crypto trading is will be hard  on downtrend and we have small probability  to make profit. In downtrend is better use less amount to start trading and keep some balance in to fiat while waiting for bull market.

Like what they say,  don’t start investing what you cant afford to lose. In my point of view the greater the capital the higher the profits. You just have to make the best of it. I suggest you can start as low as 1 ETH the go with alts and more established coins like BTC.

Yes , You need a good capital to start trading otherwise you will be burning your hands and go back to bring more money after losing what you have before. Capital is a major part of traders pillar, if you have to manage a a miniature capital to starts trading it is better you did not start in the face place. If your trading capital is small please wait to gather more before you start.

Small investment will give you small profit according to it. If you think that if you invest 0.001 in trade and withing some trade you can double then you will lose everything. So think before you start trading. Small investment can also be traded but you have to be happy with small profit according to it.

I never invest as i work for bounty and earn altcoins and trade them in the exchange with that i increase my Bitcoin volume as this is the most safe way of earning bitcoins.

To answer your first question, I would say the "required" amount is the amount you can actually afford to lose. Keep in mind that trading is associated with risks and you might invest on scam coin and might end up with nothing. Just keep in mind that the higher the capital, the more the profit you will be making. The more your spread your investment, the less is the risk.
And nope. There is no such requirements when buying bitcoin. You buy if you can afford, period.

The truth is that, you do not need so much large amounts to start trading or investing. Anything one can afford and that when the person loses it, it won't hurt, this is the amount you need to use in trading

You could trade with any amount you want. But, you should always trade with a small amount of your capital which you can afford to lose. Also, if you're new to this you need to set up a demo account first to learn and see how you do on there. Best of luck

Trade can begin with any amount available to you. The main thing is that these are your "free" money (not intended for important needs). Also, I do not recommend taking money in debt.
The size of your salary doesn't play any role here. Everyone has his own needs. You can have enough $3000 per month and for someone $10,000 per month will be small amount and he will not be able to allocate even $100 for trading.

Of course yes there's a required amount because if you trade there always a fee when you trade. So it's very important that you have capital before you trade it's not so much it according to how much you have.

Bitcoin can be collected freely or you can buy it using your fiat money. It's your choice. And when talking about trading, I believe no required amount to start with. You can start it little by little. Once you learn the techniques in trading then you can increase it gradually.

well if you set a limited amount you just limit yourself. There is not a required amount nor a target for everyone to make. Bear in mind that everyone has its own financial income and in my opinion they have to calculate those amounts by taking into the consideration those incomes.

While there is no required amount to start in trading, there is a minimum amount that you can transact set by every exchange site. Like example in Bittrex minimum is 0.00100000 BTC however if you trade with that amount I dont think you will feel the profit that you will earn from it so better increase your capital when you trade.

There isn't a required amount to start trading. However, many exchanges have withdraw fees that you can look at. There are also trading fees for every time you make a trade.

There are certain exchanges, not many, that have a minimum amount until you can start trading. Bitfinex requires to deposit a total of $10k USD before you can start trading on their exchange.

Yes, we can freely spend unlimited capital to start trading, but most of each exchange site certainly limits the minimum transaction to make a purchase or sale, because each user can be taxed, because the tax itself can benefit the exchange site itself .

Trading is risky so you should use money that willing to loss, and for the better use maximum 1% of total your money. And then try to multiple that money in trading by compound strategy. If you have management of money, disiplin and trading plan you have probability to make that money up to 10 to 50 times in 1 years from crypto trading.
There are a lot of things a trader need to always know before trading and you tend to learn from experience every single day which is why I always say for every new trader, the required amount to start trading is $0. Why did I say that ? You can start trading and practicing what you have learned, without trading with real funds.

For instance, platforms like bitmex gives you free money to play around with. Get to use this to perfect your trade, gain confidence on how to trade effectively with real money which is something you will get to know yourself from how you have been able to utilize the free money into getting something substantial and in all cases, do not rush a damn thing.

If you rush in, you will rush out no matter the amount you start with.

No required amount as soon as you have the courage to have to. Hundred Dollars?? that's pretty good to start your trading. You don't need to have so much of money to trade because you can get coins and tokens on many ways like bounty and airdrops. This two are the basic source of coins and tokens. If you have a coin or rather token that has a good value you can now start your trading career. Base on experience bro, lol. This is only my opinion and suggestion though.

Theres no specific amount needed as long you can able to fund up with some amounts that would be on minimal for you do able to trade on and its always been ideal to start up with small amounts on test or practice phase rather than on trading directly with big capital because due to lack of knowledge and experience you would just simply burn or blown out your entire trading account balance. Always be practical and dont let yourself hurry to much on learning it because it cant be achieved overnight.

You don’t need to be earning any particular amount before you can buy Bitcoin, as long as you have the money and you know that you’re ready for it, then you can invest in it, but have in mind that profit doesn’t come all the time and that you might lose money at anytime. So always cut your loss by withdrawing your money anytime you’re meant to do that. And as for how much you need for trading, maybe $100 or $250. Start small and get big, also have patience.

This market requires physical, emotional, and mental strength and thats the capital you need to have beside money.

In trading, your input is as good as your output. You can invest any amount of a particular currency in an exchange trade, but on the margin trade, it is advisable that one should have a substantial amount of money that would be able to hold your trade long enough before you make profit on it - as the crypto market seem to be very volatile.

Deposit fee, withdrawal fee and trading fee will suck up your profits if you don't have a substantial amount and you risk losing everything if you are not a good trader. Best advice is to start with what you can afford to lose. You don't need to earn a certain amount before you can buy bitcoin. All you can do is to set apart a particular amount from your earnings to buy and accumulate bitcoin every month.

I don’t think that there is a minimum amount for trading in cryptocurrency. You should from any amount. The matter is not investment capital but the experience, knowledge and skills about good trading. If you are capable of doing affective trading you can make money with less investment but if you do not have any experience, you cannot earn money from trading.

The only thing you should keep in mind while dealing/trading in cryptocurrencies is that you should bet only what you can afford to lose.

Good luck!

I was wondering if there is a required amount of bitcoins you need to have before you start trading?

It actually depends of the type of exchange you are using and the required amount you are referring to is only the minimum amount of BTC or an altcoin you can trade which will be displayed automatically or a pop up will appear once you entered a small amount when buying or selling. You can always try that by putting the smallest number in either buy or sell market without any charging fees.

Also, a little out of topic, but is there a required amount that a person needs to be earning per month before he could start buying bitcoins?

There is no required earning per month for a person before he could start buying bitcoin because you can always buy it in any amount you want. Once you converted your fiat currency to bitcoin, the app or trading platform you are using will recalculate everything including the trading fee. If you invested $100 to bitcoin and the current price is $6000 per bitcoin, the calculation is simple.

$100 / $6000 = 0.01667 BTC minus the trading fee

To the first question, there is no required amount to start trading, but you need something substantial to be able to trade the market to a very good extent. Secondly, you really do not want to consider trading no matter the amount you are trading with if you do not have any knowledge of trading at all and in that vein, you really want to go learn first.

However, with respect to the amount you need to buy bitcoin, that is a decision that is left for you to make, but you can buy any amount as long as you Ok with it, and ready to live with it.

Yes, like professional trader's advise : Start to invest with money that we are ready to loss. For rich people, maybe they are ready to loss much money, but in my opinion, they - rich people - must start with 20% of they money. for beginner, I think 20% of theie money is enough to start trading. learning by doing, maybe sometimes we loss, but we will get experience. Also we prepare the rest of our money to buy when cryptocurrency, in this case Bitcoin face big correction.

My Point is :
Use 20% to learn day trading
Use 80% to buy when cryptocurrency face big correction, like Etherium price at present time.

You do not need a particular amount of money before you start trading, but you need to consider what kind of profits you would like to make, how many trades you will make per month and how big those trades are going to be, when you take all of that information into consideration then you can calculate the amount of money that you will need to start trading and make profits right away.

Right, this market behaves differently as compare to traditional forex market. Price fluctuations are either your friend or your host enemy here. If you are a inexpereinced traders, sooner or later if will be a expensive lessons to learn. I don't think there is a restriction on trading amount. I would say, this depends on the individuals. I would advice the beginner to start trading with small amount. Start with minimum of $500. Just follow this strategy. Choose the best and cheapest coins in the market. coinmarketcap.com would better detail you of coins availabe in the market. Choose minimum 5 coins and invest in them. The profits are assured at atleast on the coins would give your profits. Experts can follow their own strategy.

i recomend choose only the best exchange like what you always see on the suggestions ,  like for example binance , kuckocoin , yobit , etc and  dont only look for cheap charges of their service because quality still matter the most  than the value .

The exact amount of each determines for himself, everything is very individual. It can be precisely said that this should be such a volume of money that it is not a pity to lose.
Ultimately the whole thing boils down to the budget constraint. If you have a huge budget for investment, you need not to worry about the minimum amount you would need for investment. You could rather invest in multi coins to keep your portfolio diversified as well. Besides, you need an amount to invest in crypto that does not fade away even if there is a fall in the price of the coin you have invested in.

There is no certain amount, you can start with any convenient amount you like. Just try to stay away from using leverage (margin trading) while gaining experience. that could make a really bad impression on you...

to start trading in bitcoin there is no amount you have to invest, because in each exchange has determined the minimum amount to invest for the first time
There is no limit of starting amount means that you can start with any amount depends upon the amount of your savings you can get profit accordingly.

If you start buying few coins right now then you will get it on low price which will be in your benefit and the major benefit you get will be happening in a market of high value. You will slowly increase your coins by buying more in amount with your profit you get in the beginning.

Trading has no requirement amount before you can go into it but just that for your own good you may need some certain amount before go into it.

im confused about your comments above . you said trading  does not require any amount but you also said trading may need some certain amount . i think trading actually require a certain amount in order for us to get started and itll also depend on what exchange we are using because every kind of exchange has a different charges . some will charge a 0.001 withdrawal fee , some are 0.0005 and so on ...

i recomend choose only the best exchange like what you always see on the suggestions ,  like for example binance , kuckocoin , yobit , etc and  dont only look for cheap charges of their service because quality still matter the most  than the value .

I think you misinterpreted dude, what he meant is there were no conditions/requirement for the minimum amount you had to spend to trade, it all depends on you for capital which you must have in trading. but my advice is of course you have to spend capital according to you can afford to lose and adjust to the budget you have and the skills you have

Truly it is. As a beginner you need not to give much money into trading, you must first learn everything and makes some basis of your trade. After that, you can gradually increase your capital. The bigger amount you invest the bigger amount also you possibly gain.

It's up to you mate what amount you want to trade or what amount you can afford to lose because doing trading isn't a simple way to gain profits especially if you don't have enough experience on it.  If i were you practice your skills first before jumping on it and try small amount to assure everything will be okay when you risk money again on it. Make some research to gain knowledge and watch some tutorials on YouTube to gain strategies as wel.

Maybe, he just wanted to say something even though it is a contradictory statement all in one sentence. There is certainly no required amount as that is understandable and you can start with anything that you have. However, when it comes to getting something tangible from trading and to be able to trade different markets so as to spread out, you will need some good amount to start with.

Certainly, $100 is a good start, and as long as you can properly manage your money and your trade, you should be fine, but the more you have, the better the chances of making more, and the likelihood of losing a lot as well if you do not have the knowledge.

There is no required amount definitely. The beauty of this market is the fact that there are so many assets and coins that one can invest in without breaking the bank. In fact, you can try on with little money at first to somewhat test the waters and try the market out, which would give you an idea as to how the market moves and changes, and also, it will show you what the trends are that could either make or break your ventures. Another thing that most people would tell you is that be cautious with your investments; make sure that the money you're investing in is not your life savings or your only money that you would greatly regret in the event it fails.

You just have to check the minimum deposit of the exchange site where you want to trade. And from there you can decide how much you are willing to start with. You can buy bitcoin anytime you want no matter how much you are earning. Just make sure to study the market so you can buy at its low and make profit.

If you want to start trading so no need to any required amount for stat trading. You can start in your trading with a any amount but if you start with a low amount so your investment is very risk able because with a low investment is very risky for your trading. I’m suggest if you start trading so you invest minimum $500 hope you make a success in your trading with this investment.

Thanks to the volatility that cryptocurrencies have we do not need to use leverage to strengthen our position or using a big amount of capital. we can patiently build our portfolio from the bottom to the top even with few amounts of money.

Obviously you need some amount in order to start trading. That amount depends on your financial capacity. You should start with the amount of money you can afford to lose. The higher the amount you invest, the higher will the profits and losses to. Never invest more than your limits. Once you get some experience you can start investing more. Just be careful because trading is not easy.

In trading, your input is as good as your output. You can invest any amount of a particular currency in an exchange trade, but on the margin trade, it is advisable that one should have a substantial amount of money that would be able to hold your trade long enough before you make profit on it - as the crypto market seem to be very volatile.
You can start with any amount you have but it is necessary if your saving cloud is a little bit large then you will have nothing to worry about it and will easily handle other works besides your trading. You can get less valuable coins like Litecoin for short term and few other coins which are even lesser than Litecoin in value so you can make profit with it and can proceed for higher coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

learn well about market trends and indicators that cause market prices to rise and fall. if you already understand then start with a small capital of $100 and see the development in a week whether there is a profit increase of at least 10%, if so then you can gradually increase your investment capital according to your ability

There is no required amount to start trading, so decision is yours. Never spend more than you can lose without unpleasant consequences. Then there won’t be a reason to worry about. You will easily go through the ups and downs of the market with an opportunity to buy more coins. In spite of apparent simplicity, it’s easy to get lost. But don’t panic. Only a cold math and detailed plan are your friends. So It’s better to care about your trading skills, than about the amount.

Nope no required amount you need to have starting in trading
You can start with small amount of bitcoin or capital to start trading but do not expect to got huge profits return
Huge amount investing in trading their also had possible to get huge profits but need to ready for a loses
Amount is not a matter; the matter is how much do you know about crypto trading? Start should always from small amount because if you lose for the first time in start of trading you will be discourage and may leave trading your deficit amount will be less. If you start from big amount then you will mentally disturbed and it is not good for overall crypto investment.

To start trading, you must have a small amount of capital, it is used to buy Altcoins. The money does not need much because transactions can be started by buying cheap coins.
In my opinion, at least a small amount, which can help you own a reasonable portion of the coin you want to own, is important. At times, people on the forum show up with $5000 in hand. Yes this is now an amount that you can invest to own an ETH or two but back then when the prices were high, this was not the case. This means that this is an excellent time to invest because of the absence of that restriction that required a specific minimum amount of money to start.

You can start as small as $2-3 by trading small alts and flip them for substantial profits.
The only thing you should keep in mind while dealing/trading in cryptocurrencies is that you should bet only what you can afford to lose.

Good luck!
Not too low because it has no benefit to start from $2-3, better not to start trading. It is not a joke. The amount should be enough which can give you some profit. You don’t need to invest big amount at start but gradually you should increase your investment as you gain knowledge and experience about crypto trading. There is no limit for crypto trading in start.

Of course you still needed to have even a least amount of coin before you can start trading it's only basic, what would you use to trade if you don't have even a least right. So if you're going to enter the world of trading even if it is in real businesses you still need to brought out your coin doesn't matter how much it is.

For me, starting trading does not require large capital. What we need is how we can see the situation because it will determine whether we will benefit or not. For people who still do not have regular income every month trading can be an option, many people have become successful and I am very sure if Trading can give someone a chance to make a decent profit in fulfilling their life needs.

you cant lose something in trading if you are taking a good movement whatever that market is. You should not trade when you know that you might lose something due to market movement right. you can only lose in trading if you are a beginner but you can also avoid to lose even if you are a newbie in trading if you are careful.

You don't need huge amount of funds before investing in bitcoins. I always say ,Start trading with that amount which you cant afford to loose. There are a lot of chances that you loose your worth but on the other side there are many chances that you can multiply your worth. This is possible because of its highly volatile nature. You can even start trading with just $10. But remember, higher the investment ,higher the risk and higher the profits.

So i will suggest starting with a small amount, until you understand the market very well

Aside from obvious "invest as much as you are willing to lose", there is a main principal in a trading - the more you invest, the more you may gain. It works in bitcoin trading tenfold, but you are in a risk of losing up to almost everything in your value of money invested in crypto, almost all the time, as cryptomarket is an unstable place. Check for all related news and topics, listen to the specialists, but have your own mind about everything. You could say you invest more of your time, than money, honestly, so take that into account too, it's very time consuming, the more money you spending on this.

I didn't have much money when I started but later I invested about 1000$ in ether and I was satisfied with the income i managed to get. To my mind, it is better to invest now and sell later
You are to buy something which is the first step of trading and this can be traditional and technological as well and if a person have both these then it is better then. Traditional trading is well known to all of us so we will discuss technological trader that is to start buying Bitcoin or some Litecoin etc to place them on exchange to sell it when you are in profit.
Buying something should never be the first step in trading, learning should always be the first step. If you do not have knowledge, you won’t what to buy, why you should be buying it, and when you should be buying. Trading requires a lot of plan and which if you do not have any knowledge, then, apparently, you cannot have a strategy to be able to pull off a trade successfully unless you want to start counting on your luck which is gambling and you will be burned quickly with that.

I guess the minimum depends on how much is planned to be earned.
Anyway, lots of altcoins or perspective tokens are at lowest levels currently. Time to buy more at a good discount I suppose

Yes and no, there's no requirement on the exchange-side how many Bitcoin should you own before you start trading. But keeping in mind that the exchange fees do stack up alot if you're active trader and should be taken into consideration. Anything less than 1000usd gets eaten easily especially if your win% isn't extremely good.

I personally wouldn't start with anything less than 5K worth unless going high propability trades with margin.

While I do not have credit card debts to pay as I have already paid them last month, I still have insurance I need to pay for the next 5 years. However I do wonder, when people say "use any amount you are willing to lose", how much does "small amount" usually costs?
For me, for example, this was a sum of $2000. I was ready to lose it, because it was not my last money. I first invested $1000, and a week later, another $1000. Given my income and needs for life, I calculated that I can allocate this amount.
If you just want to practice, then buy bitcoin for example at $300. Then try yourself in the trade.
In the beginning, I was guided by the fact that I would buy crypto currency for all the money I wanted to invest and only then I will practice on small amounts ($8-15). At that moment, I analyzed the market and came to the conclusion that it was a good time to buy. Since then, the price of bitcoin has never dropped below my purchase price.

that is absolutely true. You need a stable income before investing in Bitcoin. Because this is a potential currency, it is growing and your profitability will be longer. So you need a reasonable spending plan to invest without worrying. That is what you should do before long term investment.

you know it is only depends on you, if you have a .01 you can start but also you should consider the trasaction fees that you will shoulder while doing this, since you also have a other question it seems like you are also trading alts it is also depends on you if you feel that it is enough for you to buy bitcoin with the amount of alts you have maybe 50 to 100 dollars earnings for trading alts it is good enough.
I think nope, there is no high or low amount with which you can start or not but if you have some savings then you can start any time you want with. You can start trading with your desired coin or other source so it is not dependant on low or high amount and sources have no restriction like Bitcoin and other coins are not restricted to buy or a fixed price.

To start trading you need a desire and knowledge. You can start trading with almost any desired amount. It can be even 10 $. If you just want to try how this works, then choose a convenient exchanger for you (for exchanging fiat for crypto currency). There are different exchangers, they may have restrictions on the minimum amount.

As for the salary, it does not matter. If you can allocate a certain amount for the purchase of crypto currencies, then do it.

I advise investors to invest with the right financial means and absolutely not to borrow to invest in cryptocurrency. When you first start learning about this market should only invest a little money to get experience, after all the better decide to invest more.

It's the first thing you have to have, the money you can buy the coin to trade and wait for the opportunity to raise prices, but can also participate in the Bounty campaign to earn initial funds, although they are quite long for you
There is no required amount in trading, but at least you should have some basic knowledge of what you are entering at, trading is good source of income but can also lead you to a loss if you don't know how market works, if you are in panic always.
You can trade even with a small amount but it will only give you less profit unlike big capital that also means huge profit.I suggest to never start trading if you only have enough money for you because if you lose that, your family will suffer too.For now, you  can still make profit and earn from it from signature and bounty campaigns. And when you have saved extra money then you can start trading provided that you already know what is trading all about.

Well there are transaction fees to consider as well of course depending on what exchange you're going to use and you have to have sufficient balance to meet the minimum requirements. And i think you'd want to save first a decent amount since it'll probably be like a waste of money if you start out at the very minimum.

IMHO it doesn't matter amount of money with which you start to trade. But I in my opinion especially in the current situation you should trade with that amount of money that you can afford to lose yourself or simply forget for a long time. And most importantly, you always should have fiat money, diversify your investments (for example invest not more than 2% of portfolio in 1 asset), use risk management and never trade for borrowed funds. So if you entered to the market, just forget about these money, calm down and just try to do your best.

I don't think so. But as a rule, going in hard or heavy is good way of profiteering especially if you are utilising short term trading strategies. As soon as price action rallies, you sell off.
Depending on coin price, you may need more or less capital to start.

Good luck.

I think the amount may be small-for example I choose and participate in ico projects. Here the minimum investment can be from 10 - 100 $, and this is a very high amount for anyone. So I think anyone who wants to be able to start - and remember at first you need to learn not to lose time and only then to multiply.  ;)

There isn't a required amount before you start trading, you can start with as low as 10$ in cryptocurrencies for example, or more, it depends always with your budget. But it is always preferable to start trading with a small amount, until you get some experience about this field.

You're correct concern the amount you mention but fid someone who is yet to know how the crypto currency trading system works, ICOs investment is definitely not the right project to invest in because he/she won't know what to know out for before investing into ICO.

that is absolutely true. You need a stable income before investing in Bitcoin. Because this is a potential currency, it is growing and your profitability will be longer. So you need a reasonable spending plan to invest without worrying. That is what you should do before long term investment.
In my view there is no limit for starting point, but it is little difficult for earn money on monthly basis. Crypto is not guaranteed and the price may remain low for long as it is these days. We didn’t see any increase for the last several months. You can earn money on daily basis or you may not earn money for several months and even lose if the price falls more.

There is no required amount for trading, but as you are still a beginner, it's advisable that you start with a small amount, because trading is always risky and the possibility of losing your first trades is very high.
You can start with 50$ in crypto, as an example, until you familiarize yourself with this domain.

Nope. There's is no required amount in starting trading because it depends on the person on how he handle his starting money.  The possibility of earnings is depends on the strategic idea of the person who is playing.  But of course you must sure how to handle properly your profit. There is no required in  trading as long as you want to earn and have knowledge about it. You're in.

Basically we invest expecting a profit. Obviously if we have considerable amount the ratio of the profit will be higher. But the amount of investment depends on your financial strength. For a small scale investor could be better to start with at least $100. If you start the field with your home work you can succeed. If money comes as first goal it is always difficult to survive in this field. Learning is the best Earning as i have experienced in this crypto space. Also do not set a monthly income target at the beginning but improve your skill set which will give you more benefits in the future.

Your capital for trading has a long way to go in determining how well or long you can trade. A meager capital will make you to go out of a good trade because of fear of draw down. But if your capital is adequate you will stay on a trade much longer and make a massive profit. You can trade if you have a bitcoin worth at least $1000.

There is no required amount to start trading. Trading is a broad platform, you can start trade with 10 USD! But At least 50$ we should manage to start trading. Some exchanges don't support low sell or buy order, like Idex Decentralized Exchanger! So, if you want to trade in Idex then you will need at least 0.15 ETH! And Most of the centralized exchanges doesn't have any regulation to start trading. So, I would suggest you Go for trade with 50 USD or 100 USD, and buy some coin and start trading!

There is no required amount in the fund or capital that you will used in trading, its up to you.
The higher capital you have the higher return you may get but don’t expect a high income if you have a small amount of capital because that is very impossible to happen, unless it is gambling activity.

It depends on what kind of profits you want to have, if you're still learning about trading then you can start with any amount of money and you will be fine just try to use as little money as possible because you're learning, but if what you want is to earn money in the markets then you need to figure out how many trades you can win per month, the percentage that you earn in each trade, how much you earn in terms of percentage per month and what are your target profits in bitcoin and fiat, and with that information you can deduct how much capital you need to start trading.

Yes, if you don't have experience, it is better to invest a small amount for the first time.
In addition, there is some trading platform where you can try yourself with demo accounts.
The amount of money you invest should be as much as you can risk depending on the possibility of losing money.

There is a simple rule in economics and that is the more money you have, the more you invest and earn out however there is not specific amount of money you need for investment. It depends on the scale of your investment. If you plan to invest huge, you would have great chance to earn huge. In the same way a small amount of money will enable you to own only a small number of coins and the profit comes proportionately.

You should decide the amount you are willing to invest in trading based on how much you are ready to risk and on the time you can dedicate for that. I wouldn't recomend starting with too much, as you'll have to adjust your strategy as you'll get more skills and expertise. On the other hand, if you start very small, it will most probably take quite a lot of time to get significant results.

Title: Re: Is there a required amount before you start trading?
Post by: bohr on October 05, 2018, 01:34:55 AM
Well, there is no required amount. In my opinion best way is to start with the amount of you are willing to lose.
That is not enough, your capital needs to be big enough so you're not wasting your time when you are trading, I say this because a lot of people have a capital so small that they need to make very big trades compared to the size of their holdings they have and it doesn't matter how good you are, if you do this you are going to lose your money very fast.
I think there is no required amount but, we need to start trading in a verry few amounts of capital. Because from the word new we are maybe on the learning stage and we need to learn .ore things or strategy on it. So I suggest that of we want to trade we need to start in a very small amount to avoid lossing.
As I said that is not enough, people forget that trading has a lot of costs involved, you need to pay a small commission to the exchange, you need to pay for transaction fees, it is unlikely that you are going to buy at the optimal point that you were looking for so you are going to lose some money there as well, and when you add all of those costs you will realize that you need a certain amount of money to become profitable, the amount is not really that big but it exists.

Exactly the amount should be determined by the user who is going to start trading with based on how much he can afford to lose on this and the amount should be decent enough to cover all the fees from the trading like network fee, deposit and withdrawal fee and also picking the right exchange also important for maximum profits.

The critical thing is to start from any amount that is insignificant for your family budget. The worst idea would be to sell all your family holdings, and use that money. In my opinion you should start from trading education anyway, there a lot of free and paid courses online that can give you strong trading base. Only then you can start from some small amount.

No, you can. Given the recent high price of Bitcoin, you can buy less than one Bitcoin which can be divided up to eight decimal points. This means you can buy 0.5 Bitcoins, 0.002 Bitcoins, or even 0.00000001 Bitcoin, if it suits your budget. However, you need to be careful with the transaction fee.

there is no required amount  before you start trading start with the low prices and start with the amount that you can face to loose it thats it.
To start any kind of trading you should have enough amount in your hand for not to affect your personal life due to trading. Coins are present in the market on affordable prices so anyone can easily buy coins and can get more profit through both long and short-term trading.

You have to start buying right now in order to acquire a better position in the market for you have eyes on future profit that is possible only if you start preparing yourself from now.

It does not need to start a big amount of money because you are still practicing in the beginning and you chance of losing is always bigger.
Along the way, you'll learn and that will be the time to decide whether you will go aggressive a bit.

Bitcoin is meant for everyone no matter you level. As long as you can afford it then you can go for it and by the way Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency there is in the market, you should also buy altcoins like ETH, XMR, XRP, LTC and a lot more of them which are more cheap than Bitcoin (BTC).

If you’re buying any coin, be sure to make serious research about it before you invest in it. I know the reason why I’m saying, I can’t start explaining everything, but just know that there are risks.

I think that is no required amount for starting trade in cryptocurrency. You can start from small investment. Start from small investment and look the results. If you find this market good for making money then you should invest more money in it, otherwise you can quit trading and just hold your coins for long time. Trading is more profitable than holding but also very risky.

I think for the first capital that you might be able to do to start trading you must have at least $ 50 of capital to be able to use it to buy some coins that you can do to grow assets you can, after having bitcoin then you can use the bitcoin you have to buy altcoins that are still very cheap and enjoy the benefits you can get.
It is your choice how much do you want and have to invest, but it is good to start from low investment because if you lose your money due to fall in the price, you will not be too much disturbed and will be able to recover your deficits easily. If you lose bit money then it will be difficult for you to recover. Anyway there is no limit for starting cryptocurrency trading.

Some exchanges may have regulations regarding this, but it should be still logical. About starting capital is whatever you have because you are in the learning stage, don't start with a b (http://hafana.com)ig nominal because you don't have experience and enough knowledge in crypto, it's very risky.

I think that it is meaningless to start with amount less than 1 ETH, you probably won't be able to get something with smaller bank.

I was wondering if there is a required amount of bitcoins you need to have before you start trading? Also, a little out of topic, but is there a required amount that a person needs to be earning per month before he could start buying bitcoins?

you know it is only depends on you, if you have a .01 you can start but also you should consider the trasaction fees that you will shoulder while doing this, since you also have a other question it seems like you are also trading alts it is also depends on you if you feel that it is enough for you to buy bitcoin with the amount of alts you have maybe 50 to 100 dollars earnings for trading alts it is good enough.
I think nope, there is no high or low amount with which you can start or not but if you have some savings then you can start any time you want with. You can start trading with your desired coin or other source so it is not dependant on low or high amount and sources have no restriction like Bitcoin and other coins are not restricted to buy or a fixed price.

Exactly. There is no required amount when you want to start trading guy. Probably you just need to prepare amount of capital as long as it’s enough money for you to start trading. Honestly, as I think if you don’t have an intimate knowledge or experience as well as a world of skill on trading field, you’d better start trading with a small amount, because if you buy low, I can reduce the loss, especially while you don’t know or understand much about this field, let start with a small capital.  Till when you have a wealth of knowledge and experience, you are confident enough to expand the amount on trading. Anyway, don’t too hurried, let spend time taking research in order that you can know and understand much about crypto.

In fact there is no limit to the amount of money we must have when we want to start trading. who will distinguish is only what we will get, because when we get bigger in having capital, the opportunity to gain profits is also increasing and vice versa that when we have a little certain capital the opportunity to gain profits will certainly be less. Practice skills and try to keep increasing the capital that we have.

I pick up an automated trading service. I see there are different schemes how to pay for the service. someone has a subscription (but I usually see there price $30-50 per month, I don’t know if I get $1000 with my current deposit), and does anyone have like the 50% of the profits (seems better) - or what gonna happen?

I found a free service here (well, until January or so, at least much more prolonged free trial than others have) - tradesanta.com. there are not so many strategies, but you still can earn some. Well, when it’s free why not to try.

Indeed, I would rather hold that 1 ETH unless you have a deep understanding in trading. Also there is a high possibility of making a higher return if you are holding it.

As of OP's question, you can start small for about $500 dollars to get some large, mid small caps of crypto in your portfolios, it will also cover your exchange fees when you are depositing money in an exchange. ;)

yeah, i also freaked out at first. but then checked precisely, also talked to a couple of guys so, in general, they are no different from paid ones. The API Exchange does not give them an access to your assets (just don’t put a check on access to the withdrawal), so it won't work out there.

There aren’t any minimum amount to start trading. However, you have to take in consideration of the fees involved when buying and transferring Bitcoin  when you first starting to trade. IMO, minimum $100 will be a good start.

You dont need to trade just to get bitcoin, because even a couple of bucks can purchase this coin from some exchangers
But if you are referring to trading,i believe that atleast $50-100 capital can start a small trading venture but make sure that you are already knowledgeable about how crypto market goes

This is not a simple task and entering this profiteering is really risky and harder to become an expert so be aware

People needs to understand its not about how much money you have, its about how much money you wish to make. With your amount, lower or higher, only thing that makes the difference is the risk. With more money you easily make few bucks here and there with little risking, with less money you need to risk more to make more money. You need to know where are you standing and where you wish to end up, after that you gather money for starting bankroll and you strategy will determinate your risks and profits.

It is not necessary to a crypto exchanges to required your monthly salary before start trading on their site, unless you making savings in bank it surely required your full background. There's no minimum to start buying bitcoin, you can buy around 5 to 10 dollars at your first attempt.

I don't think so, but everything is very dependent and relative to how ready our financial conditions are, especially when we will start trading because in bitcoin trading there's no necessity how much money we will use for trading.

Given the price that tends to fluctuate, I think such targets do not apply because we can get more profit than what we have targeted or even the opposite.

If you see that those promising coins has a bigger potential, we can't limit ourselves with the amount of money to invest in. $100 or more is worthy to invest, just ensure the your capabilities to withstand when fluctuations will occur sometimes, because that's what crypto is going to be. Self control is important no matter how big or small is your capital, you should need to manage your emotions.

You don't need any fixed amount to start trading which I think ii is even good to start with little and grow over time as a newbie which will minimize your lose when trading and you can set a minimum of 2% gain as the value of the btc you earn is more important and you need to be very patient and stay away from greed.

To some extent yes you wouldn’t be requiring big capital for taking start in trading. Most of times people take start with zero. They start with airdrops or some lucky draws and even on demo trading they start to build their career. People often don’t have money in start but still bitcoin don’t let them down. Rather the best chances and opportunities are being provided.

Staring with just $100 USD may look small to others but if you are a day trader and a successful one, that $100 can turn into $181 in 30 days granting that he is successful in gaining 2% profits everyday. What more if he started wit $500. That would be $905 USD. I don't mind only 2% from my investment as long as it happnes every day.

Minimum amount is not required before you start trading.
It depends on you what amount youre willing to start trading.
Commonly Its better to start on a small amount if you are a first time trader so that you cannot upset if you loose. Learn first before you start trading, no one can earn a good profit if you dont have knowledge about trading.

Not necessarily but you need the riht amount of capital to make profits from crypto trading since you also have expenses while trading the cryptos.Bestter start with your one month of saving at initially no matter of how much amount is once you identify the idea behind trading then you can do it with huge capital.

I agree with some guys that already replied. I think 100$ should be sufficient to start trading.
But if you start with only 100$ I should suggest to approach it as a saving account. you do not put 100 on a saving account to withdraw profits daily weekly or monthly.

Same for 100$ on a trading account. I should start trading with 100$ but at least leave profits untouched for at least 1 year. So just keep trading and try to make more profits by adding the profits to the trading balance

There are not any set amounts that you need to have before you begin to trade, however you need to take into consideration that exchanges do not provide their service for free and they charge for every trader that you make in their platform and they also charge for withdrawing your coins form the exchange so if you are a day trader the costs can accumulate very fast and you could lose a huge amount of money just in fees alone.

So you need to take that into consideration before becoming a trader and always try to have more capital at your disposal because when you are a good trader the more capital that you have the more profits you can generate in a short amount of time.

We can use any amount in trading and it must be adjusted to our respective financial capabilities. For newbie it will be better to use the small one till he/she familiar with all the necessary stuffs related trading. The more the money we use, the more profit we can get. But the risk will be higher as well.

What you said is also good way of starting trading but if you dont want to lose any off your investment and first learn trading then, join bounty and earn free coins and then trade in the exchange in this way you will gain how to trade in the market and even if you make mistake it wont affect you as this coins are free and what ever you are earning is upto your talent. After when you think that you have learned more then you can start investing and trade or better do same way of free coins earning and trading and earn profit from it.

The required amount is depend on the minimum amount for every exchange platform. Like for example Bittrex as fa as I can remembered when I used this platform at the amount of 0.003BTC you can able to start trade at once. But not all exchange site are not the same minimum just like in bittrex. Because there are some exchange they used Ethereum, Waves  before you can use their platform.

As for me, I started from small amounts. But at the beginning I didn't trade. I just bought some cheap coins, to make a bigger portfolio. I started from AdeX. They cheap but have a huge potential. So at this moment have a big amount of them that help to trade. Also it's on a lot of exchanges. So you don't have to research where to buy or sell it.

That is not really a strategy that everyone can use, you will need a huge amount of patience to get those tokens and to wait until they become valuable, it is better in my opinion to get a job and if you already have one to get a second job and then use that money to buy bitcoin, then once you already have the capital necessary to become a trader you can begin to study several books about the subject and then you can start your journey as a trader.

It is not going to be easy and it will probably take you a few months to put all the pieces in the right places but once you begin to see the profits you can get in trading you will see that everything was worth it.

Trading is quite challenging and difficult thus making a reasonable fortune or profits requires a huge capital for a start up while risking a small percentage for each trade I.e money management however a person can also use $100 for a start but profit making will be small compared to the efforts and time put in trading with such an amount of money.

Yes, there is a huge profit if you have a huge capital but the risk of losing big also if not properly manage. Following our strategic plan will help us to maintain and to keep safe from losing by then.
That is why, we should have a concrete plan before starting an investment.

There is no minimum target you have to do to start trading. You can even start with only around $ 10 of capital. Even using small initial capital for new traders will be very appropriate because with the lack of knowledge and experience we can experience losses in trading.

Its depends on how much you need daily profit, i have simple ratio, just take two percent from your starting amount, and if you constant take two percent daily, it will be 60 percent monthly, and in two month you will get half from your start amount.
But IMHO, sometime too difficult to do, the simple is, the more capital you have, the more risk you will have  ::)

I was wondering if there is a required amount of bitcoins you need to have before you start trading? Also, a little out of topic, but is there a required amount that a person needs to be earning per month before he could start buying bitcoins?
There is no required amount of money to start a trading but as a trader who have now a lot of experience, it is better if you will invest small amount money at first. You should first familiarize the trading world for you to gain experience and information. You should only invest big amount of money if you have now enough information about what it is.

I would hold instead of doing day trading unless you know what you're doing in and you'll probably need large amounts to make any considerable profit. As for buying bitcoins, I believe that you can buy as little as 2$ in Coinbase.
Yeah your right because trading in crypto is not for everybody, this is the sad reality that a lot of people here says its good to trade because theres alot of income, but the thing is at the end of the day failure is what they get,so better buy bitcoin even in small amount and just wait for long term.by then for sure you are gaining without any obligation to check

There is no minimum target you have to do to start trading. You can even start with only around $ 10 of capital. Even using small initial capital for new traders will be very appropriate because with the lack of knowledge and experience we can experience losses in trading.

The amount of money does not matter but the experience the Paris e and the way we make investment matters, as a person who invest very small amount of money but he invest at red so he will have huge amount of profit as compare to the one who invest thousands but in green so profit will be smaller. So invest smaller but the wiser.

Take into consideration the fees and the losses in spread of most of yur trades so it would really matter aside from your trading portfolio  so that it won't shock you to see small profits.

Fees are part of game so we need to skip this step. Spreads are various on different platfroms, brokers. Fixed spread can solve the mentioned issues if you can find reliable broker which will not play dirty games against you. Pro advice: Run when you see offer from bucketshop broker ;)

Cryptocurrency trading is only for people who have good trading skills and the people who love to take risks. I started trading with small amout of money because I know that I will regret it if I started to invest big amount of money because of the high risks that I will face.

Any amount you have you can go into trading right away. But always learn to trade with only the amount you can afford to lose. That will help you minimise loss

Yes, it can be any sum of money that you are not afraid to lose if something goes wrong. However, I think, it is useless to invest less than $200. The returns will be almost invisible in this case.
