How to claim your Bitcoinz for Bzedge Taking in consideration the fact that BZedge was born from Bitcoinz, when they have forked from equihash to zhash, the old Bitcoinz chain got protected against the double spending attack and later in time BZedge forked too from equihash towards zhash in order to keep the ASIC resistant standard. If you have previously mined BitcoinZ, before they forked to zhash and you want to claim your BTCZ coins as BZedge coins, then read below: 1. If you still have your wallet.dat file placed inside “%AppData%/Roaming/BitcoinZ” then after you finish setting up your BZedge wallet, you can overwrite your BZE wallet.dat (the one from “%Appdata%/Roaming/BZedge”) with the one you had from BTCZ wallet (the one from “%AppData%/Roaming/Bitcoinz”) After this has been done, let the wallet sync and you`ll be able to see your BTCZ in your BZE wallet. 2. If you have a Copay or Coinomi wallet and you wish to import your BZEdge funds into the Java swing wallet, you will need to first obtain a private key for each address which held funds in 17th June. You may generate your private key from the pass phrase you used to generate the wallet. a. In the Android/Copay wallet, you can click settings->wallet name. Click backup. Make a note of the passphrase. b. Go to: https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html and type your recovery phrase into where it says "BIP39 recovery phrase". c. Select coin BitcoinZ Under derivation path, select the BIP32 tab. Enter m/44'/0'/0'/0 into the derivation path. To name a few other reasons: development and testing of Zhash and LWMA difficulty algo, main infrastructure ready. This wasn't completely hidden, it was made public in BTCZ discord for a short time. We didn't knew if we were ready for tons of miners jumping in. Devs talked with Crex24 for this, but they don't keep that much history on their exchange, so they can't help us with it. We will see how Stocks.Exchange will handle this, but my personal opinion is that people shouldn't hold funds in an exchange, especially when a coin is about to fork. Look what C-Cex did, they didn't updated all BTCZ were lost there. I'm pretty sure they will not support this fork. We will announce the the block height and the exact time when personalisation string changes when we release the upgrade. You must always upgrade to the latest wallet. OR just use an Android wallet that auto-updates like Zelcore wallet then you have to do nothing. Windows wallets are full nodes, they help the network and you are in full control and the actual hard work and network blockchain is saved and updated on your PC. Android wallets are usually light nodes, you are still in control of your private keys but all the hardwork is done remotely on a server that you just connect to and dont have to download the full chain. Meanwhile your coins are safe BUT if you delete your %appdata% folder or specifically wallet.dat, you could lose your coins during your upgrade. Just keep in mind that Android wallets while convenient could be insecure just like Android itself is a big mess, every app can read all your data or it wont work if you don't give it permission. Want to know why stupid apps like Candy Crush need to be able to read every single file on your phone and your SD card, all your photos, etc? Now you know. And Google doesn't care. On iPhone, apps are limited to read and write in their own folder only. Also, an Android app developer could update their app to send himself all your coins, not that I am saying they would but it could be their exit scam or honest hack of their code. If you have it set to autoupdate, which most of us do, it could mean a very non-secure way to store your life savings. We discovered an incompatibility between our new daemon and insight explorer that will be fixed in the following days. We performed only regression testing today. The conclusion was that no mainnet existing feature was affected. Tomorrow we will start our first MN on testnet. All other projects are paused for the moment. Master nodes being our main focus until we launch them. There were many discussions about MN collateral and tiers. We can state that the collateral amount is still under discussion, there are many options and opinions on the table. One thing is sure, we will have only 1 tier. Another hot topic is the block reward schedule. This will be modified to ensure mining rewards for more years but WE WILL NOT CHANGE THE TOTAL SUPPLY. 3.03 B BZE is the concrete number and it will be reached in 6-7-8 years. More details soon. I'm trying to update my old "BZEdge-GUI-with-binaries-2.0.4-Win64" wallet to this new "bzedge-4.3.0-windows" one. So I just overwrote old exe files with new ones, tried to launch the old BZEdgeWallet.jar file and got EOF error, code 1. Seems like daemon is failing to launch. What is the best way to proceed? I'm not stick to this particular wallet app, if there is an easy way to import my wallet.dat to some new more convenient app, I would love to do so.
