Most critics of cryptocurrency always point out that the currencies cannot be used for payments in real life. Recently, XRP are now used for payments in three companies (http://snip.ly/wqdcem). I become optimistic on altcoins when I knew this. Share your thought on Altcoins as payments below.

It's not XPR. It's XRP.

The fact that XRP can be used for real life payments is not a reason to long XRP. XRP is centralized. It's against the nature of decentralization and cryptos.

Yes. This is indeed a good sign but I think in order for us to remove the doubt in people about the things in cryptocurrency, it shouldn't just be XRP alone pushing forward. Other good coins should be pushed as well in order for big companies or big business people accept cryptocurrency as a payment.

It is possible, I see many company and bank accept XRP as a payment method, transaction fee is low and transation speed is fast. Beside XRP, I think XLM, NTY can be payment currency also

all coins have different programs, and I don't think that for the majority of all coins for a customer, crypto, known as a virtual currency, is only in the form of data and a system, for a real payment it must be exchanged for banknotes Also, what happened to XRP, XRP also kept in touch with the bank for a real payment

the problem is whether xrp can become a global payment, not the problem of other coins having different strategies.

And bitcoin and ether is also used in some places as payments. So it is not surprising that top coins attract companies to establish them as real money. Another thing is that this is still limited and not universal.

And then which one? Because there was no a news that has been reporting it right now and it would better for you to give at least some examples about which are companies accepting ripple as a payment system.
So, let's start from the first answer and what's the name of company? How can they manage the volatility of ripple?

You got the point. If only one of the cryptocurrency is widely accepted in payment, the majority would TRUST the value of cryptocurrency. I hope  XRP could be the pioneer.

you can use PayPal and VISA and credit cards and banks and ... for real payments too and it is much easier to trust the companies behind those instead of trusting the Ripple Foundation. and in their essence these are all the same centralization but with different risks and different level of acceptance. the first bunch are accepted in a lot of places around the world and since their companies are transparent it is easier to trust them but the XRP doesn't have that transparency in their company and they have done some shady scamy stuff in the past enough not to trust them.

Yes, they work with the bank and the future XRP will become the payment currency. YouTube also supports it. Perhaps only XLM is its opponent.

I don't want to underestimate significance of this occasion (which is indeed very important for the whole cryptocurrency industry), but in the end Ripple is strongly centralized cryptocurrency with several unanswered questions about market manipulation.  

XRP  has been in the move since the beginning. It has been partnering with various banks in order to be used as a payment platform.
Several banks since then have adopted the XRP technology in their platforms. It is also undergoing further development which is why the market is filled with positive news for XRP. This is the reason why the price and market cap of XRP has been increasing lately.

Yes XRP can now used to pay our bills here in my country, i do not think if in other country this crypto can be used for payments or in other things that can be spend,. Our government already support crypto currency that is why our local bitcoin wallet rather local crypto wallet easily adding some altcoin that have potential to be useful in the future also to have more option which coin we can used and hold.

This is still not enough. You can use Litecoin in ten times more, Dash, Monero in many more, even you can use Dogecoin in more places, and the point is, XRP having 3 companies is all because of their marketing.

But you are right, as long as merchant adoption starts and grows, then the altcoin has hope. This is still a big problem for XRP that even with all the push and marketing they cannot do much. xRapid is live but no one is using it. Unlike Lightning Network were still beta testing but many shops.

Yes, maybe it will be more expensive in the future. I don't know how the future of the same stellar coin is. They are very similar, but YouTube supports XRP payments.

If the cryptocurrencies could not be used for payments it would not cost so much  :)
Most critics say that it could not replace the traditional payment systems because of scale problems. But if we talk about Ripple or Stellar, they could because they are not similar to traditional cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ether.

XRP has always been created as a digital currency to process transactions in the real world in the future, this is shown because XRP already has a very good target. namely making a technological innovation that can connect fiat money with crypto well.

Well, I always knew that Ripley is suitable for swift transfer, but due to the fact that the price is not very stable I think this prevents lydat use it for example as a dolar!

With this current development, i believe this is a good news for the crypto community as people as the option in choosing what crypto currency should they use on their payment transactions. Since XRP is now being recognize as a currency to be use as payment, then I would say that more people would somehow consider on investing XRP since it may have a big potential to become a promising crypto for investment.

As long as they gonna published this to XRP coin and they will accept this altcoin to their business to become a acceptable payment method.But xrp coin is also acceptable with all cryptocurrency coins.

I think this is an improvement. Especially between banks, using XRP to pay. This shows that encryption is gaining increasing attention and being utilized.

It's true, this is an improvement of ripple through acceptance in other company. There are some people that against about this altcoin because of being centralized but as long as the community are continuing to support ripple it will be more stronger.

There are so many bad publicity about XRP being a centralized Shit, which is against the decentralization and as such people should avoid XRP. Even at that XRP is still growing strong by the day. Whether centralized or not, I am just a speculator, I am here for the money. I think it is high time I forgot my bias against XRP and buy some for profit. Sorry that is the business side of me.

With this beginning, will surely makes people to start thinking on using cryptocurrency as a payment system, but the work isn't done here, it will still need more time to makes many people trust cryptocurrency.

The easiest way to exchange cryptocurrencies in fiat and not bother. Money can pay for any product and any services. It is better to use a proven and reliable way.

Definitely as far as I concern the only thing is XRP is a centralised coin. If the improvement and changes are flexible to the investors then it become more popular coin. XRP is good for long term investment and has a bright future ahead.

I've read the news about that, it so interesting, and perhaps this is the perfect time to pun and investment on XRP, i believe with that implementation of XRP in those 3 companies will also increase the value of XRP in the future.

maybe, or closer. because ripple is supported by some of the world's major banks. and with the support of the project from Ripple itself, I think ripple can be even better in terms of price, and can also be used for real estate payments.

Ripple is starting just right to the road to mass adoption. Ripple has manage to stayed with low transaction fee and fast transaction verification time. Hoping these will still improve a lot better in the future. Only if other cryptocurrency can manage to these two important features of Ripple, cryptocurrency has a huge shot at adoption.

any cryptocurrency can be used for "real payments"! even the shittiest and most broken projects out there. as long as there is a place that accepts them as payment.

but the real problem is not about some random place accepting them as payment, it is about whether people are going to actually use it. and in case of XRP i don't see anyone seriously using a centralized altcoin with a lot of problems while there are a lot of better and decentralized altcoins out there.

Yes, XRP is good and it could be used for real payments in traditional businesses but the only issue many people in the industry has about Ripple project is that it is not fully decentralized which negate the intrinsic nature of Cryptocurrency .

XRP been used in just three companies for payment is not a big achievement. A top currency like ripple should have higher usage.

 XRP is more like a pump and dump coin. I agree with having a lot of better alts than XRP being widely used as a payment option, but the fact that it could be easily pumped, since this coin has succeded in that particular area, maybe there are some merchant who willingly accepts it despite of the level of risks that it has.

this is very good information and hopefully from the good news like this XRP can be very expensive, in some cases XRP can be one of the best solutions to answer some problems.

Crypto can be more than that. This will be even greater and even more functional for real because a lot of the support will include crypto technology. not just a ripple that will continue to grow, but slowly the other crypto will also be used in the payment system. This will have an impact in both the price of crypto and for investment then this would be quite promising.

I thought banks are going to be using XRP too but I see no banks in the list of the companies using it. Since 2016, they have been claiming it over and over about it. The article didn't mention how XRP is being used too. XRP wouldn't die if I spread fud about it anyway but sure we may need to wait what will happen. Its not easy for companies to move to another currency when their system had established which using fiat for the longest time.
