Title: When to trade altcoins?
Post by: ChristopherAngelo on October 09, 2018, 07:39:36 AM
Hello everyone. So recently I've been trading bitcoin for alt coins as I find that alt coins are far more volatile due to lower volume compared to Bitcoin and thus more profitable when it comes to day trading. Any great alt coins I should be looking into for trading? I'd like to hear your opinion on this method of trading!

as you know almost all altcoins moves depend on bitcoin's price.when bitcoin price is stable, people start to buy altcoins.first of all, there is no "great" altcoins.if you want to make some money with daily trade you dont have to trust it's tech or team etc.
for catch the fomo you can check news of exchanges (new coins to list, competitons), following the roadmaps may help you as well.
the easiest way is buy at support, sell at resistance (i want to say once again btc's move is the main rule), also you can check rsi for oversold, moving averages and some other indicators if you want.

there are tons of videos to learn technical analyses, it really helps.

dont trust anyone especially fenomens on twitter.

first rule is dont lose your money so use stop-loss.

be patient

dont try to sell on top, dont try to buy on deep.realize your profit, dont be greedy.

I don't think that there are a particular better altcoin to trade. For me I would trade altcoins with low maximum supply because I believe it has a higher volatility. And as the first responder said, bitcoin growth controls the market.

Today is the good to invest in altcoins at the same time we should expect good profit on short periods. But we must carefully pick the best one and Nowadays most of the altcoins are dump in the market. so we should buy top trending altcoins surely we will earn more profit in trading. I prefer Ethereum, EOS and Ripple because three are leading altcoin in crypto so our investment is safe in these places.

Volume and marketcap are 2 factors that are resposible for higher volatility. Not maximum supply.

To OP. I would oonly daytrade on high volume coins. Those are easier to predict. Low volume/ Low marketcap coins are to susceptible to manipulations. Its so easy to pump 30% or dump 30% coin with daily volume close to 10 btc. You can try do it by yourown (i bet 1-2 btc is enought) but playing in whales game is extremaly risky because if you wont create fomo you will have to sell on big loss.

Yes truly you can profit more on trading altcoins rather than those coins that are in the top 10 because altcoins can go more on since they have low volume.

Selecting which altcoin to trade is really difficult as many people same as you would be thinking of it get profit from altcoins as they have only concern with high volume coins like BTC or ETH and at the end to just fill their portfolio with top coins. You can get benefit with alts trading only if you are going to invest in alts in very large amount and do day trade with it, holding them for a long time may not be profitable.

In my opinion, it is still bitcoin which is more volatile.
Look, it is just too expensive and that is why we cannot buy a lot of it to feel the movement.

On the other side altcoins are still cheap and we can buy millions of it to feel even the .01 USD movement that will happen.
I guess that is also why more users who wants to go in the fields of crypto ends up in altcoins and ICOs.

If we see that altcoins is worth an investments, I guess it's time to save them all rather than dumping it quickly once it's price starts to spike. However, most of the emotional battle is through crucial times which put your asset to danger of being a shit coin. That's a case to case basis, but if you notice  the community of your holding has many plans for their road maps then find time to analyze. With that strategy, you'll be able to come a good decisions so that   you could battle your emotional attachments towards panic selling.

When we decide to invest and trade in Altcoin, we must dare to make decisions. Because as we know that investing in Altcoin is quite a risk. Trading Altcoin cannot be done in a short time because Altcoin is a long-term investment so we have to wait a while to get the right momentum. Being patient is the main key in doing Altcoin Trading. Be sure to choose a coin that really has good qualifications because it is our main capital in getting the opportunity to make a profit.

If you pick the coin of day you will be jackpot winner but st the same time you need to think about the problems and how you pick the right coin when you are looking to invest on cryptocurrencies.

There are wide range people always looking to make the money in trading but mostly failed so you need to be careful before you go to invest on bitcoin or altcoins.

the simple lesson we can trade top 10 coinmarketcap or the coins always have the top volume at some big exchange. because I think that coins at least safer and we know the long-term projects from them is very good.

Yes, altcoin are more volatility than bitcoin and I hope you have the require experience needed to do cryptocurrency day trading due to status of the current market. However, I believed LCS, NANO,DGTX,QTUM and BTG look good for day trading this days.

as you said, the smaller the volume, the more volatile it will be. but also easily shrinks. you should trade in altcoins that have large volumes and standards. besides that it also has a volume that lasts. because that will keep you from trading daily. yes, the value of altcoin fluctuations is faster than bitcoin, so to make daily profits can still be done. so you can look at CMC to trade on the top 100 crypto currencies.

It does not mean that when the market is down people won't do trading, some of these traders knows how to handle the market even if it is declining by looking at the statistics on the chart. I tell you it's so stressing to do it specially if the fluctuation is very low and yes it is the basics of trading to buy low and sell high.

Yes altcoin has more high volatility than Bitcoin and this chance to increasing the amount of Bitcoin by trade it. All altcoin already in the bottomed and some of them was push from the bottom, so now is good times to trade altcoin.  Never forget to make risk management by always use stop loss.

yes, the value of altcoin fluctuations is faster than bitcoin, so to make daily profits can still be done.

Geez, could you name an altcoin more volatile than BTC?

As you could see, majority of alts are price dependent on bitcoin in terms of volatility

I think the main question doesn't change from the main bitcoin to any little small coin and anything in between. The proper time to trade has always been during either stagnant markets like we have right now or bull markets. If the price of any coin reaches to a point that last 30 days has been over 100%+ increase it is time to stop trading it for a while, at least watch it from afar before going back in.

If something has fallen a lot recently it is exactly the same, start watching from afar before trading. The best time to trade something is while its standing still without a move or when its just going up but hasn't gone up too much.

In daytrading its always been advisable to use those fast moving crypto that means this is not bitcoins, amd asking about what are those?Well ots your responsibilities to find them because we don’t want to be blame if ever the coins fails you

Bitcoin is for long term holding as this is a slow moving cryptocurrency but surely safe ,but as what ive said for long term and not for daytrading

Trade altcoins which you can handle the movement of price in the market as when you opt to choose day trading. Always come to the point the huge risks in trading whereas the volatility are at high stage and really depends on bitcoin market. Choose and always find time to search a most profitable altcoins in the market.

if you ask about time, we will not know when the time is right, because sometimes the altcoin price suddenly rises to a high price, and sometimes becomes a low price. when you see a coin, look because the coin is useful in terms of your needs, because whatever the price, you might still use it.

For easy to you to find a good altcoins you should look in coinmarketcap where as you can easily determined which has good market and might you think has potential for daily trading. When you proceed daily trading you must keep on monitoring the market to avoid mises the good fluctuations of your altcoins.

And that best time is when you know the market is generally in an uptrend. Usually, altcoins are pretty volatile and you want to be very careful during a bear market until there is a clear direction.

One thing though is that even if you want to trade any market and depending on how volatile it is, you should always take your stop loss into consideration a whole lot so you do not end up counting your losses at the end which they are easy to move down fast much most of the time and in a bear market, you really do not want to do it without some discretion and discipline as the case may be.

I think the altcoin trade is a fast trade, especially supported by a large volume. so it is very vulnerable to losing money. Although so many traders speculate based on news, issues, and rumors. without knowing how many people use their technology. look at coinmarketcap: https://coinmarketcap.com/gainers-losers/ many tokens have increased irrationally. the decision is in your hands ...

I would invest in newly launched altcoins that have a fast grpwong community and with low price (i.e. 1 sat), because they have high possibility of increasing by several times in value.

I think it's very good, when you come to the altcoin trade. I don't say this right. but what you say is real. altcoin is very profitable for daily trading. there is no big altcoin specification for this. because the most important is the rapid price fluctuations sought. and the average is in the altcoin that has a low trading volume.

Anytime you can start trading with altcoins. But it will better  to trade when price of altcoin went down. Cause if you buy that time, then you will get more income after price increase.

If you are going to trade altcoins with a very low volume then more than anything you need to watch your trades very closely and you need to have a point in which no matter what happens you're going to get out of your trades, I say this because there is a chance that those coins disappear while you are trading them and you don't want to be the person holding those coins that have no value anymore.

As we meet our goals in crypto coins that we hold for long terms, we should trade our asset when it has gained a good price. Trade during higher profitable gains and buy at lower value. Wait for the market to increase a sustainable demand and you'll be surprised in the future that your asset is growing successfully.

Its hard to say when to trade, it will just depend on the coin you have right now. If you see your altcoins moves 10% everyday then I think trading with it is quiet profitable. Yes, we are still in a dump market but we can still trade and have some profit you just need to be careful and do a lot of research before you do day trading.

to do daily trading at this time altcoin is indeed very good to be able to get at least a little profit from nothing, because for too long we can only wait for the market to recover to increase its value.

it's hard to see a market that is still declining to find good altcoins, but if you have a signal and a good analysis of the movement of each coin on the market, you can make a profit.

Currently all mayor altcoin followed price action of Bitcoin, when Bitcoin crash or push, others altcoin also will do the samething with biggger volatility. In my opinion will be more profitable if we trade altcoin with stable coin than trade altcoin with Bitcoin. And on the crypto market right now  many exchange offer trading pair altcoin with stable coin.

If something has fallen a lot recently it is exactly the same, start watching from afar before trading. The best time to trade something is while its standing still without a move or when its just going up but hasn't gone up too much.
That depends on your style of trading anyway but most of the time, whichever trend the market is in, your knowledge and strategy on how to deal with each market is what would determine if you will thrive or not. Actually as a day trader, it is always a good time to trade when the market is trading within a range sideways and you are always in a good position most of the time when you are trading a bull market as even that time, a small child will even be able to call a signal. It takes someone who is very professional and has a huge experience to be able to take advantage of a bear market actually.

At the current market a big NO.
I do not even think anyone at this moment would want to be trading the altcoin market with how volatile they can get most especially when there is a great instability in the market with bitcoin trying to find a direction. Like you said, in this current market, it is really a very difficult time to trade altcoins, but at least in a bullish market which seems an easy one to achieve and knowing that the altcoins have more potential to move up than down, it is always very easy to trade such a market at that time. Everything still balls down on the knowledge of each individual anyway and how they are able to make a trade effectively without adding any form of emotions.

Altcoin trading is the same as that of Bitcoin trading , I mean to say that the basic rules and principles are same for all the crypto coins that you will have to buy on low price in their low markets and then selling for profit is only possible if the market price of coins increases. Similarly in Altcoins we have Litecoin best for short-term and you will make some profit here if you start buying on low price if possible.

If you know what to always do and how to always manage the risks, you won't end up losing everything when it comes to trading altcoins. Most people tend to just try to trade altcoins with no knowledge and experience at all, and being that it is a highly volatile environment, you really want to be sure of the trend before even trading any of it, and make sure you are always trying as much as possible to always keep a tight stop loss as the case may be, which if you do not, you can end up getting yourself screwed pretty fast.

When it comes to trading altcoins, the general condition of the market is actually something to always look at and the fact that bitcoin has a huge part to play in that.

I think the best time is when they are low and they offer something. When they are low like today than we know there is a big chance a red zone is followed by a green zone right afterwards. Nothing stays red for a long time, in the end they go up because this is the market, market can't stay red for a long time, if it wants to stay alive it needs to have both red and green, since we had the red zone now we are waiting for the green so great to buy now.

If you want to however buy something that offers something extra you can check ICO's or masternodes or staking coins and so forth so you could make decent return with them without even trading.

its been a months already that is good to trade in altcoins, then most of the time if you are good in day trade, that is 100% you could get profit daily. But if you're not experts on it never do day trade due to that there is a high of tendency were in the end you will get only loss of your capital or altcoins.

If your reason is only from price, I think you're wrong because if you only have a little capital, I think the results will be the same. Altcoin will not make much profit if you have a little capital.
And if the price of bitcoin falls, the price of the altcoin will drop too, but if the price of bitcoin rises, it is not certain that the price of the altcoin will rise as well.

I failed many times before, when I tried to trade daily volatility. We should not forget, that the small volume also means, that the whales can manipulate these coins easier, and these actions are impossible to predict in advance.

That's not always the trading goal, altcoins have their own set of a price pattern and fluctuations they are not always dependent on the price of bitcoin well this is a case to case scenario bitcoin have influences when it is up or down but altcoins have their own varieties of events, community, investors and product, there are times there are some altcoins bleeding while bitcoin was surging.

Actually now it is better to stay away from the trading with altcoins, especially with small altcoins. So personally I prefer to trade trough marginal trading with such cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, XRP and Bitcoin cash.

It is important to minimize risk understand the market before betting anything big, buy low, sell high, diversify between trading and investing, always observe on the major political events related to cryptocurrency world. You may want to follow some well trusted experts and popular channels for getting latest updates, news and trends in the cryptomarket.
I would say understanding the market is actually the main thing here when it comes to trading altcoins and at the moment, it is going to be a huge risk when it comes to trying to pick the market at this moment unless you are sure you have some pretty tight stop loss in place. Trading altcoins is a lot risky as it is one pretty huge volatile environment and if you are not careful, you will get pretty screwed fast. Watch out for bitcoin most of the time and then look at the chances for a bullish movement for the general market, and I believe it would be easy to know when to trade altcoins.

When it comes to trading altcoins, the general condition of the market is actually something to always look at and the fact that bitcoin has a huge part to play in that.
No one could refuse that. To trade altcoins better, we must study the futures of bitcoin markets. Instead of getting into double hard work needed altcoin trading, I always opt for long term bitcoin trading. I agree that some times, altcoin trading is good but it could never overtake the profits of long term bitcoin trading, as per my experiences.

Lower volume? I see billions of tokens in the market. Do you mean lower price?
If that is a yes then that is true.
It is easier to profit with it since you wont need a large sum of money for capital.

You might want to look at PundiX project. Their token is still cheap by now and you could buy it with known exchanges.
With millions of it you could easily make profit but you will have to take that at your own risk since the project is still in progress of getting known more. It could easily fluctuate anytime this year.

I think that the current time is best to enter into the market because bull run can be start soon let say from 11 november, 2018. I am agree with you that investing in huge potential altcoins can get you huge profits. I have personally research over the altcoins, and chosen few ICOs that can blast in the near future. These altcoins are including Credits, Docademic, Datum and Swiss Alps Mining Energy.

I would like to read more users suggestion and what altcoins they believe will be good to add in the portfolio.

Times like this when Bitcoin is stable are the best to trade altcoins have you ever noticed that some altcoins goes up in some days? Maybe if you keep following the market and checking news that focus on altcoins you will be able to know when that happens.

You can ask people for their choice and you will receive a hundred different coins, it comes down a lot to personal preference and a bit of loyalty also, I have a few coins I have been holding for a long time that will start moving at some point, they are not your mainstream well known from one like ETH or LTC.

might be worth having a quick look,. ADK and COVAL are a couple which are starting to progress.

Just make sure to choose the right token when it comes to altcoin trading. Only choose those which has high volume because the volatility is quite good for high volume token. When trading, it's best to combine bitcoin and altcoin. Stick only in bitcoin is no good, and it's the same for the opposite. Combining will result in bigger chance to earn profit. However, as you know trading is quite risky, even for the expert. So do your trading carefully, don't be easily influenced by others. Feel it with your own tempo.

for trading in altcoin you can enter the price when conditions are falling and it is better to buy when the bitcoin price falls because it is certain that the altcoin price will also fall when the price of bitcoin falls after that you can sell it when the price returns high, so far I only use the method it's for trading and can get profit every day because I buy not just one altcoin but buy some potential altcoins.

What is even mostly important is to understand what you are doing as a trader and have the solid knowledge when it comes to making a trade. Without that, no matter what, you cannot thrive. It is a very volatile market, and altcoins are pretty volatile, but as long as you can identify long term support levels, look out for reversal signals, and then not forgetting that stop loss is important as you know that bitcoin giving a negative vibe can affect the whole market pretty fast, then you will be fine but if you have no strategy, it would be hard.

Bitcoin is one but altcoin have many coins, meaning many opportunity to make money of course have many different price action depend bitcoin. Most people will give you the same advice like me. See coinmarketcap or any crypto web and see their list under bitcoin, take 2 - 5 coins to replace your asset in there. It's more safe than using bot or professional opinion because the coins already filter by web depend market price action. Take the easy way and enjoy the journey.

Asides from even choosing the right coin, you need to access your level of knowledge in trading the market first. Do you know how to trade? What indicators you make use of as well as your strategy when it comes to buying a position, selling and stopping loss. They are the major important factors you need in a market, irrespective of the market you are trading.

One thing I have always known is that, if you tend to not use some signals with altcoin market to know the possibility of a reversal, using bitcoin alone will not help. Sure, bitcoin movement always have a lot to do in most cases, but you also want to be sure, this is something that you are most definitely looking at some indications for bullish movement in altcoins as well before making any move.

Asides that, even if you are getting into an altcoin market, you really want to be very careful knowing that it has a lot to do with bitcoin movement, but one thing actually is that once the market starts showing prospect to go up and bitcoin doing so as well when the altcoins are looking for ways to thrive, while being given the environment to do so with bitcoin consolidating in an uptrend, then, that is a good chance to look out for. The most important thing is to always know what you are doing most of the time.

We all know, from "far" it sounds profitable because price can change very fast every day, especially if have high volume. But when you do it, it will be stressful if we jump into day trading and a lot of people will suggest to do long term trading.
It is right that this is not the right time for Altcoin trading. Altcoin prices are very low and there is no growth in the price since bitcoin has dropped. In bitcoin there is still possibility for earning money from daily trading but in Altcoin I think you will rarely find any chance for making profit. Only exchanges can make money from Altcoin these days. You should focus on bitcoin.

Actually, altcoins are not so highly volatile as Bitcoin. But they are dependent on the BTC price a lot. If it's low, then altcoins will also go down, and vice versa. You can buy any reputable altcoin, just don't invest in some brand new coins. Speaking of a particular crypto, I like the idea of Litecoin being a light version of BTC. LTC is supported by the most crypto exchanges, CEX (https://cex.io/ltc-usd) has finally started trading it, but only with USD at the moment.

if you're looking for good altcoin to trade i prefer you to pick on this "site" (http://coinmarketcap.com) then go to top 100 coin and make a research which alt coin is so volatile and good to trade in short time . And by the way after checking the volume  make sure to make technical analysis as well on the pattern of graph to assure the coin you want to trade will fit on your strategy and etc.

you can trade altcoin whenever you want but for better trading altcoin when there is good news from the altcoin, for example when there is listing coin information at a large exchange place as an example of binance, then certainly the altcoin price will rise so take advantage of the moment like that for altcoin trading.

Well obviously altcoin is more profitable when it comes to short trade because bitcoin now is less volatile and quite stable at $6000 to $7000. Recommended altcoins would be XRP due to its current rise and increased these past few weeks but it really depends on what you really want it is not on a coin to gain profit but your timing.

Our team of investors successfully made a 233% profit by performing leveraged trading of ETH to purchase QNT, a low-cap altcoin that we were able to pump up over 100% in one week. This team plans to do the same by leveraging BTC and ETH volatility while making massive buys of a small altcoin in the CoinExchange.io platform.- t.me/iblockchainglobal

Altcoins are other crypto coins which are less valuable than the Bitcoin and are favorable as short term trading and its experience makes you able to upgrade to higher coins like Bitcoin.

The reason why you start trade with less valuable coins is to have a hold over your loss in case if you have loss in trading then it will not be a huge loss and slowly you will get experience to deal with these crypto coins, after this starting dealing with Bitcoin will not be difficult.

Apart from Ethereum the prices of almost all Altcoin are very low and you may not be able to make profits from those coins. Therefore it is better for you to trade in Ethereum. Its price is good and if there is a bit increase in the price you may make good money from it, not guaranteed but possible. The best option is only bitcoin for best trading and making money.

Its been a months brother that altcoins was in the red market or declined period of value. Which means you can trade any time you want bro.
But if you're not that good yet in the actual trade, well my tips of advise to you is better not to do it. Because you will only loss of money however, even if you loss at least you will know the feelings of being a trader in the actual platform.

You can sell your altcoins when BTC price is high when paired with USD. This means that when you sell your alts, you will get less BTC the amount will be more when paired with USD.
Also, if the price of alts is rising while BTC's price is not then it is a good time to sell the alts. It is often seen that alts price keeps depreciating when the BTC's price increase, hence it is the best time to sell the alts when BTC's price and alt's price increase.

Coinbase has announced that they are looking into 5 actions in specific: 0x, XLM, Cardano, Zcash and BAT. When/, if they are added the price and volume, will probably increase a lot.

They did add 0x a few days ago and when they will add next cryptocurrency you can expect history to repeat itself.

Therefore, I would look into the 4 remaining ones and trade those.

I belive that the decision depends on us but we should know that it is important to know when to buy and when to sell. Buying at low prices works well and selling when the prices are high is profitable. We should know when the demand is high. Dealing with the volatility of the market is an advantage.

We should not ignore small points and occasions and you are absolutely right about this discussion but the thing is that we should act according to market conditions as we know that market instability make us to consider every single step with the passage of time. If you have altcoin then you will make profit in short term because it acts as short term coin, you can make profit if you buy right now because the value has decreased and you can get the benefit right now.

It`s always good to trade with alts, why exchanges are open 24/7? When price of ethereum rising so do all other prices, that`s good for holders, and all other crypto owners. You can trade with alts even now, Veritaseum is up for 30%, salt for over 15%, and some others, thats today, everyday some coin have some nice rise, after that always come drop when you need to buy again. You can trade with alts when ever you wish.

Yes, I too do not think it is the right time to invest into altcoins by risking bitcoins.

Right now it doesn't matter if the bitcoin price goes up or goes down because whichever happens the price of altcoins are going down. Hence, there is really no reason to trade altcoins at this moment and there is no winning with them currently, maybe if you find some good coins that has a chance of making some profits but that's really hard to find and honestly very risky as well.

I would suggest sticking to investing into bitcoin right now, the more money you invest into bitcoin the more chance of making profits when the bull hits. Whenever the bull market hits we will have a chance to select on which coin to invest afterwards, you will know when the bull run arrives by checking the altcoin prices, right now when bitcoin goes up the altcoins go down but when the bull arrives when bitcoin goes up the altcoins will go up as well at which point you can start to invest into them as well.

we can start altcoin trading whenever we want, the important thing is, we really understand in crypto trading, the current market price is very difficult to predict, so for example we want to try to learn to trade today, I suggest you don't use the first big capital, until you can really trade well, then you can add more capital again.

That would still be a good idea for you if that works well. Trade when it is profitable on your part. There are still lots of good coins to buy and hold in the market these days. We just have to choose which the best one is. We must be wise upon choosing because bitcoin is also profitable.
It is really profitable if you buy those coins at low price. Since we are in the dips, we gonna used this opportunity to buy more and hold for awhile.
Trades for this time isn't good enough and it won't give us huge profit even for expert traders. So never think of easy and quick returns cause it never just easy as you think.

I think it is better to trade with altcoins during the bullish market. This period of the market would give better fluctuations with good few drops and a lot of gains. The tendency of the altcoins to move steadily.

I belive that the decision depends on us but we should know that it is important to know when to buy and when to sell. Buying at low prices works well and selling when the prices are high is profitable. We should know when the demand is high. Dealing with the volatility of the market is an advantage.

You can trade with alt any times. Actually i my self use alt coins to trade. Alt coins increase sometimes i know the increasing rate isn't enough as compare to bitcoin but it have some fluctuate.

as you know almost all altcoins moves depend on bitcoin's price.when bitcoin price is stable, people start to buy altcoins.first of all, there is no "great" altcoins.if you want to make some money with daily trade you dont have to trust it's tech or team etc.
for catch the fomo you can check news of exchanges (new coins to list, competitons), following the roadmaps may help you as well.
the easiest way is buy at support, sell at resistance (i want to say once again btc's move is the main rule), also you can check rsi for oversold, moving averages and some other indicators if you want.

there are tons of videos to learn technical analyses, it really helps.

dont trust anyone especially fenomens on twitter.

first rule is dont lose your money so use stop-loss.

be patient

dont try to sell on top, dont try to buy on deep.realize your profit, dont be greedy.

if i act like you are beginner and you are not im sorry :) i wanted to tell all i know to help you and who read this.
Nice mate, I believe in this, this is very effective. Greediness is the key to lose all your assets and lose your money but patience is always the key to success.

Hi guys, I've built a web application, that tracks social-media activity ( telegram, reddit, bitcointalk, discord, ... ) of crypto-projects. It is supposed to help improve trading-decisions. The app is for free.

I would love to get some feedback on it, please let me know what you think, this is my personal mail: hayk.gregorian90@gmail

The App is called cryptorunup ( www.cryptorunup.com )

I would really appreciate it!!!

I think bearish market and bullish market both are good for altcoins trading. But stable market is not good for altcoin trading. Cause in stable market we can't see any good dump or pump. But in red and green market we can see good fluctuations in altcoins price.

for trading in altcoin you can enter the price when conditions are falling and it is better to buy when the bitcoin price falls because it is certain that the altcoin price will also fall when the price of bitcoin falls after that you can sell it when the price returns high, so far I only use the method it's for trading and can get profit every day because I buy not just one altcoin but buy some potential altcoins.
This is very important many new traders have only some ideas about what to do when they begin to trade only to find out that things are very different, it is very easy to look at a graph and say I should have bought at this low point and sold at this other high point, but when you are live trading things are never that clear and if you have no knowledge about how to trade you are going to lose your money really fast.

Whatever it takes losing money in trading will always have the same with others experience. The important thing about it was to trade while the market was not having problems in terms of demand. Don't expect any surprising rewards for it but rather think a brighter future once the holdings you had will gain successful pumps.

volatility was still the main course why most there is buyers and sellers in all exchange site platforms. Because if all altcoins are not volatile for sure there wil bel no traders in the market in my opinion. So doing trade is anytime which means in 24 hours in the entire world the market in the exchange are moving from time to time it can be moderate in motion then sometimes aggressive.

Bitcoin is far more better to trade on when you compare it to trading on altcoins. This is because bitcoin has more liquidity and also high market volume when compared with the altcoins. Even When there is deep in the market the rate of recovery of bitcoin is faster than that of the altcoins which make it possible for you to recover your money faster than when you are trading with altcoin. If  veteran traders are trading  bitcoins instead altcoins  should tell you that bitcoin is the way to go.

When you write more profitable, it also comes to my mind, that more risky. Happenes quite often, that the price moves to the opposite direction, than what we would want, or think. Also, less volume means, that it is even easier to manipulate, so even more unpredictable.

the right time and a good time to trade altcoins is when the price of bitcoin starts to rise in price and when there are good events from their altcoin platforms because usually the altcoin will experience a price increase when there are these signs and you should be able to take advantage of it grow assets that you have.

If you want to invest safely in the long term, I think you should refer to Eth or Neo ...

You can not always earn that much, 90% or above earnings are not always possible. You could have seen this when the market's status was good, but lately it is hard to earn so much. Also according to the future news of each digital currency the interest rate is not be the same, 90% or more rarely seen. If you are always expecting so much, in my opinion your strategy isn't right. Or you only work with pump groups.

Agree that before buying a coin we should need to learn and know about the project if it will have big impact in the community and the people at the backnor the management are always finding a way to make their coin more popular. Dont be too greedy buying a coin with small value because they are the coin has a big possibility to loose its volume.

Yes, it depends on each individual. I trade altcoins with bitcoin to increase my bitcoin stash when I see the altcoins doing strongly and in most cases to see this happen, bitcoin is usually in a small uptrend movement and nothing too serious, so in that case, there is always the chance for a good growth with altcoins.

Moreover, depending on the trend of bitcoin, I trade bitcoin against fiat. At the end of the day, the basic idea is to look at every trend in the market and take advantage of it, to increase my bitcoin stash for the future. As long as you are knowledgeable enough to handle yourself in a market, I see no reason why you should not take all the opportunity that is bestowed on you.

Only for long term holders, there are some specific time where they need to react but for traders and to trade altcoins, I believe all the times are good enough given that you must be choosing your trading pair after a long depth of research and analysis without that you cannot win in this highly war-like platform. Yes, here need to be very much confident on your actions so that you will win otherwise you will lose, as simple as "do or die".

You know trading is not a silly matter its related to lose or gain money so if you invest to altcoin then at first you need to do own analysis after that you have to know when altcoins trading will be profitable.
From my litte knowledge now it is the best time to trade in altscoin because all are too low now. So if you want to strat trading always you will try to buy at low value.

Sure, but sometimes having an idea on how to time the movement of either bitcoin or altcoin market based on their trend, is one thing that we should always be able to do as traders and investors. Most of the time, all you just need is knowledge and some of the movements we get to see in the general market with bitcoin being the main basic factor.

For instance now, the altcoins have really bottomed enough and there are chances we will get to see those making moves to the upper side, but that still at the same time depends on what happens with bitcoin eventually in terms of break out, which I believe this is what most people are waiting for.

Time is very important when we are doing this business, placing entry and selling it with profits even in a little percentage are consider a successful trade, traders have its own interpretations both long term holders and short term traders have a system that they continue developing for their benefits, it's a must that you know when to work with your assets as chance sometimes comes without prior notice and if we failed to catch it up it will bring regrets to

Well, that usually depends on the altcoin mostly as well as the time frame you trade on or your style of trading generally. Most times for day traders, they tend to look for short term swings and trade those little daily fluctuations which are something we get differently when it comes to midterm or long term traders.

Trading altcoins is always pretty fun most of the time, it is always to know what you are doing, have a strategy to  know when you want to be entering a market, where you want to be selling and where you are stopping loss, as these are the things that matters the most when it comes to trading, not when.

A lot of altcoins are pumping in CMC last week. I have gained a lot of money in trading on September because I am waiting the signals and buying at the right moment. You can look out at binance or kucoin, these exchanges pump coins agressively. You can choose the coin you want to buy, specially that you are the person who will risk.

Correct satisfaction always matter, but dont expect too much for the coins you have to avoid stress sometimes if the value of coins did not meet your expectation you will need to be satisfied even in small amount of profit because meaning you are lucky picking a good altcoin.

The altcoin trading is quite different when the price is really low we cannot really gain on it because of the price. Price when trading is really important and we can maybe put a great basis on it. Maybe the best thing to do is to buy more and hold into altcoin price rise.

Altcoins are less volatile, but they all still depend on the price move of Bitcoin. Whenever Bitcoin is going up you will also see altcoins going and when Bitcoin starts to fall, same happens to altcoins. Take for example – ETH and BTC, when the price of BTC got pumped, ETH also went up from a very low price of $200+ to above $1k, but when Bitcoin fell to $6000+ it also fell and went down to $100+. That’s it.

But there are still good altcoins in the market, and I think Bitcoin is meant for those with so much money to invest and take the risk,. If you invest a little amount of money, it can disappear within few minutes.

Trade it when you think it's time to trade based on the movement of prices. Don't trade based on what you feel because that might lead you to a bad result which you may regret later.

The best time for altcoin is when you know that altcoin growth is expected so the buyers will be ready for altcoins and i know that altcoin market is good and we should do sell and buy at right time because no one knows that how future will be but still we should be aware of the market.
maybe when prices are rising it is the best time to make a sale when you have large assets. well, maybe time is a different problem for everyone who trades. because in crypto trading, it's done when you have a chance.
Time is very important when we are doing this business, placing entry and selling it with profits even in a little percentage are consider a successful trade, traders have its own interpretations both long term holders and short term traders have a system that they continue developing for their benefits, it's a must that you know when to work with your assets as chance sometimes comes without prior notice and if we failed to catch it up it will bring regrets to
our experience.
To me I think that the current time is still the best time for some altcoin to buy, for example ripple is currently trading too much low and if you will invest your money there in current time, I hope that it will surely give you a very good profit.

Depends on the bias. If you're technical you will only analyse based on the chart and if you're the one who looks on the condition of the project overall from it's start to the update of their milestone, you have fundamentals as your analysis.

I advise you before investing or trade any Altcoins. You should find out about information that coin and its long-term development strategy. In addition to updating the market continuously and predicting the market and the knowledge for beginners trade.
Agree that before buying a coin we should need to learn and know about the project if it will have big impact in the community and the people at the backnor the management are always finding a way to make their coin more popular. Dont be too greedy buying a coin with small value because they are the coin has a big possibility to loose its volume.
That is true but only if you are looking to invest in a coin for the long term, if you are only interested in holding a coin for the short term and selling it for a small profit then you don't not really need to make such an exhaustive investigation about the coin, the only thing that you need to do is to have a plan of what to do if the price of that coin begins to go down.

Trading will change our life but we must have the wisdom so that, we know the barriers and problems that we will encounter. but not all altcoins will go up, so it will still need research and analysis which coins have the potential to be affected by the price of bitcoin, besides that you also have to act quickly, don't buy when the price has stopped to rise, make sure that positive trend still lasts long

For me, the market always has the opportunity for players, if the volume is too low we can margin to push their capital. It is also an effective way to surf the market as it is now. I think altcoins can be bought at a time when you feel the price is right. Altcoins have no cap and low price because you will not be able to identify the top and bottom of it. At this point there are only 1/10 to 1/20 coin compared to its peak. So do not hesitate to make a decision!

Since that we are in the field of trading industry, it means we can have an opportunity to earn any we want, if just know how to become a player in every exchange platform. That's why as a traders we have 3 things on which we are able to to do such as Day trade, Bearish, and Bullish then most of the community coin holders are doing bullish then few are bearish.

You can trade any time using any tools at any exchanges you want, as long you know and understand what and how is trading?. Many people start trading only with dream with out knowledge. tools and fund, not enough preparation will create bankrupt person. See coinmarketcap list no 1 - 5 and start it from there, everything have risk and good luck to you.
There is even no specific period when you should be trading altcoins, the most important thing is to know what you are doing, have a strategy, understand that the altcoin space is a volatile space and make sure you are very careful with your trades, be sure of your trading portfolio and try as much as possible not to get yourself wrapped up in so much than you can handle at once, then I believe in that sense, it would be a good outcome whenever you decide to want to trade. It is only someone who does not have a strategy that will have a problem in any market they are trading.

There is always a good time to trade a coin into bitcoin you should need to monitor it, i think you will trade if the coins you hold will gain an income that is why do not do any panic selling just hold until the value will gives you a profit.
Mate for now trafing method is difficult to earn income due to bear market much better to have a coin that there is a possibility to boost its value and hold.

It is a very great idea trading altcoins and they are usually more profitable than trading bitcoin even though a slight increase or decrease in the price of bitcoin affect all the prices of the altcoins but trading altcoin is usually better. The recent market situation is the reason behind the losses in altcoins trading but if not of that altcoin trading is far better than trading bitcoin itself.

I think it's good to trade altcoin coins as an option, but I suggest choosing the best altcoin and the potential so that even if you risk a certain amount of money, you can get maximum profit. and when the right time is when the price position is experiencing a downward trend.

Yes it is true that altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin. Altcoin investments offer higher profit but with higher risk.  Consider also the altcoins with very low prices but with high potential. It means that you can have bigger percen profit if it become successful.

I always thought that this was a false statement, every altcoin has its own market and is different from bitcoin. Altcoin prices will increase if there are some developments made by the developer or there is interesting information comes about the altcoin and otherwise. As for the price of bitcoin and altcoin declining, I guess that depends on the information that comes to cryptocurrency as a whole, not just bitcoin.

To trade BTC with others altcoin is good when BTC in low volatility  just like current situation.  A lot of price of altcoin in the bottomed and this is best times to increase amount of BTC. A lot of altcoin was going up to more than 100% so best times to trade BTC with altcoin . Because the fluctuation altcoin is high so dont forget to use stop loss.

Volatile volatiles due to low volatility usually will not have high liquidity and you will find it difficult to sell your tokens. We often call it a garbage token. So you should not be concerned about such altcoins. Just focus on the top 100 of the market to trade. I think in that position will be better and safer for you.

You should choose an altcoin that has a higher volume or those who have been existing for a time and have proven that they can still recover after a bear market because most of them won't be able too especially those that have been existing on the market for trading only and the projects behind has not been continued because the team abandoned it or it is just a pure scam. I would prefer those coins that has an active team and the development still continues.

Trading low volume altcoins is one of the most difficult things to do because those coins can be easily manipulated by those that have money to move the market and they can be manipulated also by groups of people that dedicate themselves to pump coins, and you do not want to lose your money in a coin in which you do not believe in because that will make your losses even more painful.

If you are just looking for high volatility just pick high in marketcap alts and start trading them. Volatility in them is as bis as with bitcoin.

If you have been trading Bitcoins then you must have already learned the basics of trading. The patterns and what you make out of them must already be familiar with you. But when you enter the altcoin arena, you will be spending more time for monitoring. More than the candles, you must also be very keen on the fundamentals. That what makes altcoins pump. Constantly update yourself with them.

Of course it is a must once you take into trading. But make sure if you want to trade with altcoins,be smart enough in choosing those coins with potentials because even if they don't shine today, they will sure to boom in the near future.Altcoins trading is much risky compared to bitcoins so be brave enough whatever the outcome is.

Some people are just blinded by the profit that they can get in the market, I have known people that are unable to get profits in the market of bitcoin and yet they want now to invest in altcoins with very low volume, they do not seem to understand that if they cannot make money in a market that has lower volatility making money in a market which is even more volatile and that is subject to more manipulation is going to impossible for them.

What is wrong coin? The one without future, created to be a scam and to trick people to invest in it. Coins from 1-5 have potentially great future, so when is the right time to trade with them, answer is clear wait dip to buy and wait top to sell. You have buy support and sell resistance, learn about this two terms and you will have a bigger picture how to do it.

Is there a good altcoins I should be looking into for trading?
Because altcoin is more volatile than bitcoin, it's better to trade on altcoin with low supply and the price is still low (not comparable with total supply). So the opportunity to rise up to 5x is far greater. Why should choose coins with a low total supply? because if the price of this coin free falls, usually it will be faster for recovery and even tends to be stable.

You're right about altcoin to be more volatile than bitcoin but trading of altcoin with low supply is still risk if the altcoin dont have good utility and good community support. However, the whole crypto market are all in down trend season and I dont see any reason why people should be greedy of making profit chasing after low supply coins.

Of course, no wonder bitcoin will remain at high even the market is dumping. Bitcoin is strong enough and have a huge support from the community and from investors. Some altcoins are losing its value but not for Bitcoin.

strategy. it will make you understand when to enter and buy an altcoin.

Just conduct your own study about choosing good altcoins. Even bitcoin has a big volume in market still there are some coins that are profitable like ethereum and ripple which also volatile. When to trade altcoin? conduct trading if you know all things about trading so you will not regret once you lose your money.

Speaking about the volatility rate between bitcoin and altcoins obviously the bitcoin is more volatile because it has the highest market cap ang lots of holders and users. I guess you only said this because bitcoin stayed for quite too long on a short price range specifically from $5000 to $7000 last few months but it does not necessarily means that it is less volatile than altcoins.

When Bitcoin drop its value, it will automatically that most altcoins will also get dump their price value too. Only few of them will remain still to its value. So in making trade altcoins, there is really a big chance for us to earn big for us to gain bitcoin in the end when we sell our coins in the platform.  Therefore, the decision will always depend in your hands to decide for.

But in this time it is quite hard to do trade with altcoins many traders lost their money in doing that. It is the time to hold all of the coins which we have and to buy as much coins as possible which have a good future ahead as a future is coming which will give a high value to all of these coins.

Trade those altcoins with good value and great purposes which can prove that it is a legit for you to be able it to HODL longer and get a good profit. You may choose altcoins with low supply but I would preferably thinking that you can trade also with high volumes because for every inch that the price of each coins move is a great growth for what you are holding for example that if you hold a 100,000 token and has a price of 0.01$ and it cost 1000$ and suddenly the bitcoin price increase and also the value of altcoins and the price of each coin cost increased to 0.02$ then you will have a 100% profit which will cost 2000$.. Isn't that great? but these are just my idea which I prefer to use.. the dis advantage with that is if price decreases you will also get a very bad profit..  ;) ;)

Indeed, trading altcoin has a big chance, but it will be very difficult because we have to really choose one or several altcoins to invest from thousands of coins that are not too meaningful. And the time to enter the market can happen at any time provided you avoid when the market is green.

altcoin trading is more profitable because they have a greater range of volatility than bitcoin and this gives us a great opportunity to make a profit assuming we can understand the altcoin market trend, if we miss a little trend then the risk we receive is then and that loss for me it can change quickly to make a profit when market prices experience recovery. trading for me is profitable and spurs creativity and enthusiasm to continue learning the current market trends

Bitcoin is a king of the crypto world and every coin depends on bitcoin price. If you want to trade on altcoin must be the focus on bitcoin price because when bitcoin down altcoin must down and bitcoin price up altcoin also up.So first select your altcoin and research their ico .project and team member and bitcoin trend hope you will be success.

Trading for USDT is ideal for BTC trading not altcoins. But it serve good to you then its your way.
But certainly there are more volume to btc/fiat or stablecoin than  with altcoin, you will be profitting much with stablecoin that you can do it everyday.

When you play in alts section, you need to watch what is going on with major coin like BTC and ETH, and mind their company program, watch their quartal program and what exactly their goals, like usually happened, the alts price will increase when approaching the big news from their quartal program, its one of my strategy when im into the alts section my friend.

Due to this bear market, i suggest you to stop trading, specially if you are a daytrader and you like to do scalping, it is very risky because the price can be easily manipulated with a few bucks.

Better to stay away from it, or, just stick to trade with the BTC/USDT pairs, ethereum, or any other one of those coins

I think the best way - trade as you do: BTC to any of alts and stable coins, of course. But be careful and read the news of stocks where you do trading because from time to time stocks are delisted some altcoins.

For now I can't take the market condition now until bitcoin's price not rising up maybe next year and a few months all altcoins can recover because these year not year for crypto. After rising all alts in 2017 they all dump before this year.

It is impossible to stay when to trade the altcoins because even in bearish mode some people will make profits. It completely depends upon the talent and skills they have in trading. Trading is an unpredictable job which we cannot able to disclose when is the exact time to make a profit and when is the best time to sell those.

trading altcoin can be done at any time, but vigilance must be the main one, choosing the type of altcoin is certainly also very important. because the characteristics of the altcoin that you choose will affect the trade you make
