Currently all mayor altcoin followed price action of Bitcoin, when Bitcoin crash or push, others altcoin also will do the samething with biggger volatility. In my opinion will be more profitable if we trade altcoin with stable coin than trade altcoin with Bitcoin. And on the crypto market right now  many exchange offer trading pair altcoin with stable coin.

Altcoins are potentially more profitable than bitcoin and the price compared to bitcoin is very low so it is easy to invest. ETH, XLM, XRP are good coin to trade.

If something has fallen a lot recently it is exactly the same, start watching from afar before trading. The best time to trade something is while its standing still without a move or when its just going up but hasn't gone up too much.
That depends on your style of trading anyway but most of the time, whichever trend the market is in, your knowledge and strategy on how to deal with each market is what would determine if you will thrive or not. Actually as a day trader, it is always a good time to trade when the market is trading within a range sideways and you are always in a good position most of the time when you are trading a bull market as even that time, a small child will even be able to call a signal. It takes someone who is very professional and has a huge experience to be able to take advantage of a bear market actually.

At the current market a big NO.
I do not even think anyone at this moment would want to be trading the altcoin market with how volatile they can get most especially when there is a great instability in the market with bitcoin trying to find a direction. Like you said, in this current market, it is really a very difficult time to trade altcoins, but at least in a bullish market which seems an easy one to achieve and knowing that the altcoins have more potential to move up than down, it is always very easy to trade such a market at that time. Everything still balls down on the knowledge of each individual anyway and how they are able to make a trade effectively without adding any form of emotions.

Hello everyone. So recently I've been trading bitcoin for alt coins as I find that alt coins are far more volatile due to lower volume compared to Bitcoin and thus more profitable when it comes to day trading. Any great alt coins I should be looking into for trading? I'd like to hear your opinion on this method of trading!
Altcoin trading is the same as that of Bitcoin trading , I mean to say that the basic rules and principles are same for all the crypto coins that you will have to buy on low price in their low markets and then selling for profit is only possible if the market price of coins increases. Similarly in Altcoins we have Litecoin best for short-term and you will make some profit here if you start buying on low price if possible.

You should know that a volatile thing is easily lost. Because of the low volume, the altcoin can easily be manipulated, so consider investing before it's time-sensitive. You can lose everything if you invest in altcoin. I think you should invest in Bitcoin to make a profit. The decision belongs to you.
If you know what to always do and how to always manage the risks, you won't end up losing everything when it comes to trading altcoins. Most people tend to just try to trade altcoins with no knowledge and experience at all, and being that it is a highly volatile environment, you really want to be sure of the trend before even trading any of it, and make sure you are always trying as much as possible to always keep a tight stop loss as the case may be, which if you do not, you can end up getting yourself screwed pretty fast.

When it comes to trading altcoins, the general condition of the market is actually something to always look at and the fact that bitcoin has a huge part to play in that.

I think the main question doesn't change from the main bitcoin to any little small coin and anything in between. The proper time to trade has always been during either stagnant markets like we have right now or bull markets. If the price of any coin reaches to a point that last 30 days has been over 100%+ increase it is time to stop trading it for a while, at least watch it from afar before going back in.

If something has fallen a lot recently it is exactly the same, start watching from afar before trading. The best time to trade something is while its standing still without a move or when its just going up but hasn't gone up too much.
I think the best time is when they are low and they offer something. When they are low like today than we know there is a big chance a red zone is followed by a green zone right afterwards. Nothing stays red for a long time, in the end they go up because this is the market, market can't stay red for a long time, if it wants to stay alive it needs to have both red and green, since we had the red zone now we are waiting for the green so great to buy now.

If you want to however buy something that offers something extra you can check ICO's or masternodes or staking coins and so forth so you could make decent return with them without even trading.

its been a months already that is good to trade in altcoins, then most of the time if you are good in day trade, that is 100% you could get profit daily. But if you're not experts on it never do day trade due to that there is a high of tendency were in the end you will get only loss of your capital or altcoins.

If your reason is only from price, I think you're wrong because if you only have a little capital, I think the results will be the same. Altcoin will not make much profit if you have a little capital.
And if the price of bitcoin falls, the price of the altcoin will drop too, but if the price of bitcoin rises, it is not certain that the price of the altcoin will rise as well.

I failed many times before, when I tried to trade daily volatility. We should not forget, that the small volume also means, that the whales can manipulate these coins easier, and these actions are impossible to predict in advance.

I think, if we want to keep getting profit with current market conditions then we have to look for good opportunities and if there are altcoins that have good prices to buy and have good movements then I will trade there

That's not always the trading goal, altcoins have their own set of a price pattern and fluctuations they are not always dependent on the price of bitcoin well this is a case to case scenario bitcoin have influences when it is up or down but altcoins have their own varieties of events, community, investors and product, there are times there are some altcoins bleeding while bitcoin was surging.

Actually now it is better to stay away from the trading with altcoins, especially with small altcoins. So personally I prefer to trade trough marginal trading with such cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, XRP and Bitcoin cash.

It is important to minimize risk understand the market before betting anything big, buy low, sell high, diversify between trading and investing, always observe on the major political events related to cryptocurrency world. You may want to follow some well trusted experts and popular channels for getting latest updates, news and trends in the cryptomarket.
I would say understanding the market is actually the main thing here when it comes to trading altcoins and at the moment, it is going to be a huge risk when it comes to trying to pick the market at this moment unless you are sure you have some pretty tight stop loss in place. Trading altcoins is a lot risky as it is one pretty huge volatile environment and if you are not careful, you will get pretty screwed fast. Watch out for bitcoin most of the time and then look at the chances for a bullish movement for the general market, and I believe it would be easy to know when to trade altcoins.

When it comes to trading altcoins, the general condition of the market is actually something to always look at and the fact that bitcoin has a huge part to play in that.
No one could refuse that. To trade altcoins better, we must study the futures of bitcoin markets. Instead of getting into double hard work needed altcoin trading, I always opt for long term bitcoin trading. I agree that some times, altcoin trading is good but it could never overtake the profits of long term bitcoin trading, as per my experiences.

Lower volume? I see billions of tokens in the market. Do you mean lower price?
If that is a yes then that is true.
It is easier to profit with it since you wont need a large sum of money for capital.

You might want to look at PundiX project. Their token is still cheap by now and you could buy it with known exchanges.
With millions of it you could easily make profit but you will have to take that at your own risk since the project is still in progress of getting known more. It could easily fluctuate anytime this year.

I think that the current time is best to enter into the market because bull run can be start soon let say from 11 november, 2018. I am agree with you that investing in huge potential altcoins can get you huge profits. I have personally research over the altcoins, and chosen few ICOs that can blast in the near future. These altcoins are including Credits, Docademic, Datum and Swiss Alps Mining Energy.

I would like to read more users suggestion and what altcoins they believe will be good to add in the portfolio.

People always buy altcoins when Bitcoin is at a stable price and sometimes they buy when the price is falling too. Times like this when Bitcoin is stable are the best to trade altcoins have you ever noticed that some altcoins goes up in some days? Maybe if you keep following the market and checking news that focus on altcoins you will be able to know when that happens.

You can ask people for their choice and you will receive a hundred different coins, it comes down a lot to personal preference and a bit of loyalty also, I have a few coins I have been holding for a long time that will start moving at some point, they are not your mainstream well known from one like ETH or LTC.

might be worth having a quick look,. ADK and COVAL are a couple which are starting to progress.

Just make sure to choose the right token when it comes to altcoin trading. Only choose those which has high volume because the volatility is quite good for high volume token. When trading, it's best to combine bitcoin and altcoin. Stick only in bitcoin is no good, and it's the same for the opposite. Combining will result in bigger chance to earn profit. However, as you know trading is quite risky, even for the expert. So do your trading carefully, don't be easily influenced by others. Feel it with your own tempo.

for trading in altcoin you can enter the price when conditions are falling and it is better to buy when the bitcoin price falls because it is certain that the altcoin price will also fall when the price of bitcoin falls after that you can sell it when the price returns high, so far I only use the method it's for trading and can get profit every day because I buy not just one altcoin but buy some potential altcoins.
