Title: [ANN] leonArdo - Version 2.4 released!! Trading GUI/Bot for Bittrex, Poloniex ..
Post by: leonArdo@margin on March 08, 2014, 02:37:26 AM

Introducing leonArdo, a crypto trading platform that let's you directly
interact with market graphs to adapt orders. Use our automated trading strategies
to take the pain out of trading and set your hard earned BTC to work for you.

How can you get your copy?
Just go to the website (http://www.marginsoftware.de/) and click through to our Products section.
You can also download a demo version of leonArdo from the website to try it out before you buy it.

Who are we?

leonArdo was developed by three computer science graduates with a
passion for all things bitcoin! We have a combined 20 years of software
development experience and between us hold a PhD and two Masters
degrees. After developing our own bot and seeing how well it performed,
the idea to create a product for the crypto market hit us. We realized
that there was no existing software available that we would want to
use ourselves – so we created leonArdo!

What exactly is leonArdo?

leonArdo has been designed as a “visual” trading front-end
for different markets. However, rather than simply mimic market
websites, leonArdo provides a host of additional features that
significantly improve the trading experience.  leonArdo currently
supports BTC-e, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, Poloniex and OKCoin, but new market
plugins are in the pipeline.

leonArdo has been developed from the ground up as an object
oriented C++ application. Using the features of C++ and Qt
allows us to provide a product that is super responsive and
completely intuitive to use.

In future releases, we plan to also provide an API that will allow other
programmers to implement custom trading strategies, which they
can sell independently of us. These strategies will be able to seamlessly
interact with leonArdo’s graphical user interface (i.e., react to mouse
interaction and augment graphs) in order to maintain a consistent
user experience.

leonArdo: a review by an unsophisticated trader (http://todamoonblog.blogspot.de/2016/01/leonardo-review-by-unsophisticated.html)

Automated trading strategies

mArgin maker

The mArgin maker strategy comes bundled with leonArdo. Simply
click and drag in the graph to set the parameters you want and then
set it to work! It adapts to the changing course of the market.

Ping pong

The ping pong strategy also comes bundled with leonArdo. This
allows you to set a rigid buy and sell price and then leave the rest to
leonArdo. You will immediately see in the graph the amount you will earn
minus the exchange fees

Title: Re: [ANN] leonArdo - Automatic Trading Platform (for Bots)

FAQ

Q: If your bots perform so well, why are you selling them?
A: First, our software is more than just a bot. We have created a
trading platform that is fun to use even in manual trading mode! We want
to give people a tool, which otherwise would only be available to big players.

Q: If the bot makes a profit, why are you not just taking a
percentage of it?
A: We would also prefer this model, as we are sure that
would make us more money than just selling it. But it is just not
possible for these two reasons: i) We wouldn't want to use a tool
which requires us to reveal our trading patterns and we assume
you wouldn't either, ii) its just not feasible, as should be the case, for us
to automatically withdraw money from your exchange account to ours.

Q: How much profit does the bot make?
A: As you may have guessed: it depends. A modest example of
what is possible is shown in the log above. We do not guarantee that
you will make money tough. It's trading, telling you anything different
would be dishonest. There are modes you can use to ensure that you
do not make a loss but of course if the overall value of your holdings
decrease then you will lose money.

Q: What markets do you support?
A: leonArdo supports BTC-e and Bitstamp. but more are in
the pipeline. leonArdo's core is very stable and adding new markets,
as long as they have a reliable API, can be accomplished very fast. Maybe
you have a favourite market you would like us to add? Drop us a line!

Q: Why should I buy your software?
A: You don't have to, but we think this may be the beginning of
something special. We want to make trading fun again. You can use
leonArdo to manually trade, to analyze your past orders or to run
automated strategies. At first we'll have two automated trading strategies
available but we will add more. In the future we will support more markets
and we are keen to hear your ideas and remarks.

We also have a nice manual trading mode :).
You can also think of the automatic trading mode as assisted trading.
Just have a look at the video.
The strategy recommends an order, which then can interactively be adapted by direct Mouse (drag/drop) interaction.

If you have further questions, just let us know. We are happy to help.

Good question. An no you don't have to send us your key.

You can just setup a new API key pair (key + secret) on
your BTC-e account (alternatively, you can of course also create a
dedicated account, just for leonArdo). By sending us the first half of your
secret, we can ensure that leonArdo just works with your BTC-e account.
So we don't need your key at all.

I hope that helps!

Good luck implementing the plugin for CrAptsy!
Thanks :). But this should not be that much of a problem.
The software is modularly structured. So we basically just have to implement another market interface.

Further, the market interface is running in a separate thread. Which means that even if we are dealing with higher latency exchanges the software takes care of it.
When placing an order at a slower/unresponsive exchange, the software will handle it in the background.
The progress is always visible in the status bar on the bottom ( as it can be seen in the video).

Title: Re: [ANN] [BOT] leonArdo - Automatic Trading Platform

If you were legit you wouldn't be hiding behind a brand new account. Anyone stupid enough to fall for this deserves to get wiped clean.

So then please be so kind and elaborate on how we could do that.
We can't withdraw funds from an account with the information we have and we won't take any payment before we can deliver the product.
We didn't have an account on this forum so we had to setup a new one.

Further (as mentioned before :) )
a) we don't take the payment directly (e.g. escrow)
b) even if we wanted we can't withdraw the funds from the exchange
c) we have a video that demonstrates that this is not just some fantasy product
d) we will provide support to users to run the software in a virtual machine if they wish to do this.

Hi  ;) ;)
I was curious to understand how you create the market history graph (max min open close volume etc) if in the API page there isn't an API Call with the market history values (or maybe i haven't seen it!).
BTC-E api seems very poor. Where's the order creator API?

I Have also checked here : https://support.btc-e.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/26/4/trade-api-en But it seems the same API spec

There simply is no BTC-E API for long term market history.
We keep the history locally on the client but also provide an up-to-date version on the net ;).
Currently we offer a high resolution history for the last two months and this is growing every day.
When you start the software it fetches the history and you are ready to go.

As for creating an order, in the link you sent us there is a
method called "Trade" near the end of the page that allows this.

We are happy to answer any other questions you might have Sampey. The
success of C.A.T was part of the reason we decided to create
leonArdo! :)

Hey everyone. Although the major developmental work is done, there is always room for improvement. Check out the latest feature we just added. Before the bins in the graph could either be turned on or off (see video in our first post), but now there is a third option - grayed out! This allows you to, in parallel, easily see the buys and sells you made along with the course of the market. We hope you like it :)

PS Check out that effective gain of 2.58% :)

Note that this has been updated to reflect our new security mechanism to give you even more peace of mind

We added the following to our first post in an effort to gain your trust :) Please have a read and as always if you have any questions we are ready and waiting to assist you!

Peace of mind

We love bitcoin and want it to succeed. With the recent hacks, scams and
downright incompetence we have all witnessed in the last few weeks we
wanted to talk to you about how we hope to gain your trust. First of all we are
in the process of setting up an escrow service so that when the time comes
for payment you will not have to directly pay us and can be 100% sure that
when you do hand over your BTC that you will receive leonArdo.

In order to ensure that your copy of leonArdo is exclusively linked to
your BTC-e account you will only have to provide us with the SHA-256 hash of
one of the two API keys that leonArdo needs to connect to the BTC-e exchange.
With just the hash there is nothing that we can do on your account.
Furthermore, even if someone had both API keys they could not do anything
except trade on your account as withdrawal from a BTC-e account is only
possible if you log on to the website with your username and password -
both of which we will NEVER ask for.

Please take a few minutes to watch the video above. This should
demonstrate that we have built a real product here. A lot of work has gone
into it and we are sure that if you try it out you will love it as much as
we do!

We developed leonardo because there simply wasn't a tool available with which we were happy with.
leonardo is not just a bot. It is a whole trading frontend. It can be run autonomously but can also be used as a nice intuitive day trading tool.
Just have a look at the video to see it in action. You can drag and drop orders, view the order history augmented onto the price chart....
And this is just the beginning, so have a look at the video and decide for yourself :) http://youtu.be/jjLbJuUsp0A (http://youtu.be/jjLbJuUsp0A)

@ LeonArdo This looks very interesting, the interface is similar to what you find in a brokers office, it's about time we had one too.

If you do a plugin for Bitstamp too I'm in.

Cryptsy is shit, orders don't get filled half the time at the right time and massive lag issues, double spends = accounts go into negative balance how will the bot work with those problems?

Also why don't you sell the software with a USB ignition key, like many professional audio recording software companies do they also use Internet Verification that stops people passing on a copy of their program. that may stop the scam accusations. I personally wouldn't be happy with giving you half of my keys no matter how much you say it's safe and it seems like the wrong way of going about it too.
Not sure how hard it would be but take a look at this it may help point you in the right direction, http://www.propellerheads.se/products/reason/index.cfm?fuseaction=get_article&article=copy-protection

Looks like a lot of work has gone into this, I'll be keeping my eye on this. Well done.

It's closed source. But you can create an extra set of keys just for leonArdo and furthermore even if we had both your API keys (which we never will, only a hashed version of one of them) we couldn't withdraw anything from your account anyway (see peace of mind section in first post).

Also why don't you sell the software with a USB ignition key, like many professional audio recording software companies do they also use Internet Verification that stops people passing on a copy of their program. that may stop the scam accusations.

We also thought of using something like a USB Ignition Key (one of us also has some audio background :)
But for now we will stick with the key thing. It's what others used (here in the forum) and we already altered it so that you even have to send us less info.
Just because we wouldn't give our full key anyone either!
We are not a company (yet :), so our resources are limited and it seemed like the best way (for now).
We really appreciate your suggestions and hope you understand our decision.

Bitstamp is on the list :)
We also know what a pain cryptsy can be. The idea is to take care of that in the background.
When you place/alter an order, the software will take care of it. You'll just be notified when the order was placed.
Have a look at the notification bar in the video to get an idea.

What other markets would you like, guys?

We are also considering to support third-parties to write their own strategies in the future.

We plan to have a general interface for the language of your choice, it may even be REST based.
The first release however will not support it yet. At the moment we are focused on making leonardo as shiny as it can get :).
Additional features like plugin support will be added later.

A quick update from us:

At the moment we are working on the last touches for the first release but also on a unified trading API (e.g. REST as proposed by one4many).
With that API we want to enable you guys to be able write your own strategies without worrying about the implementation details for every market.
Also leonardo can be used to analyze/control your bots as you can see in the video.
If anyone is interested in writing their own strategy, feel free to let us know your needs and feature requests.

Sometimes, an idea pops into your head and you ask yourself: why didn't I come up with something that easy/trivial in the first place :)
The same happened to us when we were re-thinking the account verification process.
The result is that you don't even have to provide us with half of one of your keys anymore (which was already less than some others ask for). Now, a simple hash (SHA-256) of it is all we need!

Edit: Would be great to see what you can do integrating this software with counterparty (and the other 2nd gen dex when they get round to theirs!).

Welcome and thanks for your bid :)
Until next week we are focused on the first release, but we are already in talks with other developers to join the project.
Getting leonardo to work with counterparty and other DEXs is something we are really looking forward to do.
We will keep you updated!

Actually our plan is to support all major exchanges and also de-centralised exchanges such as counterparty (XCP). We have started with BTC-e, and will next add Cryptsy before tackling XCP and bitstamp and whatever else there is a demand for! We have already had very positive contact from the XCP team and are looking forward to working with them to create the best possible user experience.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions :)

Hey Guys,

Are any of you senior/hero members interested in providing the escrow service for leonArdo?
We thought: why not pay the fee to someone who is interested in leonArdo and is reading this thread anyway :)
Just drop us a message. If no one calls dips we'll run it through someone else.

Have a nice day and keep on bidding ;)

Hi everyone,

as I'm interested in this product and a long time user of bitcointalk, I would offer the service for the leonArdo Team, if they accept and trust me.

I would charge a 1 % fee in BTC for the transactions (this seems normal here on bitcointalk for low risk transactions).

If someone wishes to use my service for this software purchase contact me after you have been acknowledged as one of the winners in this auction by the leonArdo team.
I will promise to make the transactions as smooth and swift as I can for all three of us (buyer, seller, me).  :)
Keep in mind I'm on CET, so nothing will happen at 4am usually, unless my insomnia kicks in.  ;)

Thank you and good luck with the auction!

Regards

Good morning everybody,

I could not resist and snipe at the last minute for the 1st copy of leonArdo, I'm quite exited about it.   :)

Chang Hum, MadCow, ifxist, tifozi, my offer as an escrow for the leonArdo Team still stands!
The leonArdo guys kindly offered to pay for the Escrow fee, which is a nice move in my opinion ... so all you have to pay is the purchase price you quoted in this auction.

The escrow procedure will be following:
1. Contact me via PM to get a payment address
2. I publicly (in this thread) will announce the payment address
3. You pay and publicly (in this thread) confirm your payment
4. As soon as I received the payment of the correct amount I notify the leonArdo team to release your copy of the software (at the day of the auction ranking). They will contact you with a date/time when you are going to receive your copy.
5. After receiving your copy please let me know via PM that you got your software (additionally you can also state this publicly)
6. Finally I will release the collected funds to the leonArdo Dev-Team

optional 7. We all wait for 'FREE' exiting new features of this probably brilliant piece of software  ;D

All the best!

Hi,

gave my copy of leonArdo a testdrive today. I like the clean interface and the ease of use. I'm quote happy with the results so far.
Can't wait for the OSX build however, although I'm still a Linux fan in the server world, the desktop usability experience is a lot better on OSX than some Ubuntu distro.  :D

All the best!

Using it via a X export from my Ubuntu VM to my Mac ... it is a bit laggy that way, but works.
Looking forward to get the native OSX release soon  ;D

We just added a cool feature to leonArdo and wanted to share it with you!

Drag the market chart to the left now and reveal a depth chart. We hope you like our implementation.
Actually having this information in the graph can really help when deciding upon margin parameters for
bots as walls are readily visible.

Anyway, take a look and let us know what you think!

Hey,

Just wanted to let you know that we are working hard on having leonArdo ready for the general open beta release, which
will be in a couple of weeks! In the meanwhile I left leonArdo running for a few days for testing and thought
I would share a screenshot of some of the action and the associated trades :)

The picture shows the PPC/BTC currency pair and note that were were 2 bots running - a mArgin
maker bot (trading with 26.2122 PPC) and a static ping pong bot (trading with 25 PPC).
It is interesting to observe that the mArgin maker bot can continue trading even though the course falls.
This initially entails a loss (the parameters of which can be controlled by the user, e.g., don't lose more than
X%) in order to be able to continue trading and make a gain! On the other hand the static ping pong bot
doesn't recover if the course goes outside its range.

Here is the screenshot of leonArdo :)

And here are the list of trades:

Exact details of the release to follow in the next couple of days  :)

What's the price tag before releasing it?

Hi BenAnh,

In the first post our pricing policy for leonArdo is explained. 5 winners of the auction became leonArdo closed beta testers and when we move to the open beta testing phase leonArdo will be priced 1BTC.

Thanks for your interest :)

Hey everyone,

We just wanted to give you an update on what we are currently working on.
During this closed beta phase we realised that most of our customers do not
want the hassle of installing a Virtual Machine in order to install leonArdo if
they are not using Linux. Therefore we have been working hard to get
leonArdo to build on Windows. In parallel we are working on a native version for
Mac OS X (which should prove a little easier  ;)).

It is our hope that once we enter the open beta testing phase (at which
point you guys will be able to get yours hands on a copy of leonArdo!) we
will have native versions of leonArdo for not only Linux, but also for Windows
and Mac OS X too.

We will keep you posted!

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions for us!

All the best
The leonArdo team

We will hold off on giving a general open beta release date until we have
leonArdo running natively on Windows and Mac OS X.

But if all goes well we should be still on track for a release in the next couple of
weeks....

We are just finalising the details of the open beta release version and can confirm for the first few copies sold there
will be a discount.

If you really want to use LTC to pay for leonArdo, then I am sure we can facilitate that. Out of curiosity, why is that
important for you?

It's being tested at the moment and will be out in about three weeks as part of the general release (together with the windows version).
If you happen to be at Bitcoin2014 you can also try it out yourself :)

Never seen this before..

what caught my eye was this quote.

Quote
leonArdo has been developed from the ground up as an object
oriented C++ application.

uhhmm c/c++ is not OO .net is and Javanis etc
why did you say that and not use a real OO lang then ?
that comment makes no sense at all.. at least not to programmers lol

sounds ok i guess but would have to admit i'd be a bit paranoid of what kind of dormant code you can put in for future purposes at any point in time.
a quick update and wham community could get ripped off and you could walk and be long gone before anyone has any clue what happened.
Like how coin cloners have done in the past with wallet updates.. and those are open source, which doesn't matter because no one looks at the source.

private trading patterns ?
i'm a cracker i could rape that and hand it out publicly if need be i bet lol

My cracking resume is lengthy.. PC games, Steam, Mikrotik Router OS (Linux), all kinds of shareware apps on windows/linux, Moto Surfboard firmware cracks, cellphone systems..
I'm the kind of guy that keeps scammers on their toes i have done it for ages and have busted prob a 1,000 guys across the globe in the last decade.
Just a heads up.. keep it clean or you'll get caught.. people are ALWAYS watching trust me.. and leakers leak lol

anyway i trade manually i wouldn't feel too comfortable with a front end or bot etc
using the exchanges is sketchy enough as it is with out having a software middle man lol

Although i would suggest doing a free version for the public but require people to make a donation to have advanced access to beta versions.
There is not much more you can do to monetize things really.. any protection system would be cracked so..

First of all: thanks for your feedback. We beg to differ though about C++ and
in any case we said that we developed leonArdo "as an object oriented C++ application"
- which is certainly the case!

sounds ok i guess but would have to admit i'd be a bit paranoid of what kind of dormant code you can put in for future purposes at any point in time.
a quick update and wham community could get ripped off and you could walk and be long gone before anyone has any clue what happened.

Did you read the "Peace of Mind" section of our post? In it we discussed the
fact that the BTC-e website API only allows us to trade on an account.
There is no facility for us to withdraw money through the API.

private trading patterns ?
i'm a cracker i could rape that and hand it out publicly if need be i bet lol

It is our belief that most people will not trust a hacked version of
such a program over a legitimate copy. Furthermore, if a hacked version
of our software became available, anyone using it would forego all support
and future updates from mArgin.

My cracking resume is lengthy.. PC games, Steam, Mikrotik Router OS (Linux), all kinds of shareware apps on windows/linux, Moto Surfboard firmware cracks, cellphone systems..

Thanks for the warning :)

or bot etc using the exchanges is sketchy enough as it is with out having a software
middle man lol

If you like using the BTC-e website then that's great. But some people
want to use a more powerful tool and for them leonArdo is very interesting. I
can only say that once you use leonArdo and have access to it's features
(months of data verses a single day, depth graphs, fully interactive chart,
automatic trading strategies etc.) you will not want to go back to the website!

Although i would suggest doing a free version for the public but require people to make a donation to have advanced access to beta versions.
There is not much more you can do to monetize things really.. any protection system would be cracked so..

We chose a different strategy with leonArdo to the one you suggested. But we are
open for ideas and maybe at some point we will release a minimal manual trading only
version for donation as open source. We are also in talks with decentralized exchanges,
which also would be a lot happier with leonArdo being open source (for obvious reasons :)).

Thanks for keeping an eye on our new project for the sake of the community
and have a nice day!

I would be a bit embarrassed to continue posting teaser screenshots.

You said in the first post it would be out March 29th (a few short weeks from March 8th).

It's now been a looong 7 weeks and still nothing, not even a set launch date.

That's as bad as pre-ordered ASIC hardware.

Push a public release of what you have, and start selling that wizbang software.  I personally can't wait to kick the tires!

Ehm. No, actually it's not :).
Everyone who paid (during the auction) already has it.
So no pre-ordering here.

Yes, we are also keen to release it. At the moment we are still working on the windows port.

Hey Statdude,

I recommend you take a look at the video in our first post to get an impression of what leonArdo is. We have spent a lot of effort building a professional trading terminal that allows intuitive interaction with the GUI. Drag and drop orders. Visualise nearly 6 months of historical data. Drag the chart left to reveal the depth chart. Run automatic trading strategies. Actually we made a new video for the Bitcoin 2014 conference and you can check it out here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm1G_Vlzq9k#t=31

There is no commentary, but I think you can see the possibilities. Since shooting this we have added some more new features that we can't wait for you guys to get to try out.

Our existing customers will be getting their windows versions over the next few days and then we will announce a general release date.

Sorry for being a bit quiet lately, but we have set up a company now as we wanted to do this right. We are back!

All the best,
The leonArdo guys

And you can get it straight away. Its available for Windows, Mac and Linux right now!

Just wanted to share another new really cool feature we have implemented in leonArdo. You know the situation,
you see the bitcoin price has dropped and you think it is going to go up again. You buy some BTC (in the example
below the buy order is the blue triangle in the chart and the price is 603.18 USD) and you want to put in a sell
order that, should it get filled, will earn you a certain amount. Use the new ruler feature in leonArdo by simply clicking
into the chart and dragging up to the price you want. The ruler is the two dashed red lines extending from the
blue order triangle to the desired price of 615.8 USD. An info box (see left in the middle) immediately tells you that the
difference is 12.62 USD and this represents an effective gain, after fees have been subtracted, of 1.68%.

Once we implemented this feature I found myself using it all the time. It is also interesting to see how the course of
currencies have historically changed. But for manual trading it is now an essential part of leonArdo!

One of the reasons we were quiet for a while was that we were busy setting up our company. We are determined to
build the best bitcoin trading experience possible and have a lot of ideas for the future of where we want to take leonArdo!

It looks like a two horse race thus far between Cryptsy and Poloniex for the exchange leonArdo will support next.

Can you explain what is shown in the GUI window:

"Trading Window" 55% what is this?

Eff Margin* What is this?

Min Eff margn what is this?

Also, does your tool automatically move/adjust your order to be the best on the market, ignoring the first X btc if needed (sometimes not good to beat the most aggressive 0.1 btc or so in orders)?

How does the tool decide to place where the orders go?

Can you post a link or PM  me your full documentation?

Hey Statdude,

Thanks for your questions!

I am assuming you are looking at the image of our GUI in the first post. leonArdo allows you to set the most important trading parameters for a particular automatic trading algorithm by clicking directly into the chart data.

The Trading Window is the blue area in the chart. This is the amount of historical data taken into consideration by the algorithm and is set by the user by dragging backwards in time in the chart. The red area inside this, for this particular example, takes up 55% of the Trading Window. This represents the buy and sell margins and can be set by adjusting the position of the red area top and bottom lines.

The Eff Margin* parameter falls out from the movement described above. This is the effective gain you can achieve should a buy/sell or sell/buy cycle get executed. The reason there is an * is that it is based on the current parameters but subject to change should the market situation change.

The Min Eff margin gives the user the opportunity to allow an automatic trading algorithm to continue trading by adapting to the new situation in the market. This is not possible with the static ping pong bot that leonArdo also supports. For that bot the buy and sell prices are fixed and if the price moves away from those then the bot does not react. The mArgin maker bot can, if the user wants it to, take a small loss in order to continue trading. The amount that you are willing to lose is set by this parameter.

Could you please clarify this question "Also, does your tool automatically move/adjust your order to be the best on the market, ignoring the first X btc if needed (sometimes not good to beat the most aggressive 0.1 btc or so in orders)? ". Am not sure what you mean here :)

Actually we haven't written a manual for leonArdo. It is designed in such a way that you do not need one! All of the questions you had for me are answered by the program in the form of informative mouse over tooltips!!

Watching the video can really help to let you see what the different features are: http://youtu.be/jjLbJuUsp0A (http://youtu.be/jjLbJuUsp0A)

Thanks again for your questions. Its quite late here now so I will only be able to get back to you in the morning!

As for those new markets. We were having a little difficulty with data collection through the Bitstamp API - but think we have solved it now. We will make an announcement shortly.

Hey,

Just wanted to let you know that we have added a slider to the mArgin maker automatic strategy. The slider, already available for
limit orders and the ping pong strategy, is a really cool feature. It adapts as you move the buy and sell margins in the strategy
or as new funds become available and ensures you cannot place an invalid order.

We really enjoyed using it during tests and wanted to share it with you!

Hey everyone,

We have been very hard at work improving leonArdo and we wanted to share some of the new features that have been added in the last month or so:

1.  A new encryption mechanism on the login screen to keep your credentials safe
2.  Added a certificate so you are not presented with a warning message message when installing leonArdo on Windows
3.  Network connection indicator and better recovery should the network connection go down or a laptop is put to sleep
4.  Overhaul of icon buttons and tabs for a cleaner design
5.  Nearly 3 years of historical data for main currency pairs
6.  New indicator infrastructure (little flag button on top of the chart)
7.  VWAP and VWAP moving average indicators
8.  Relative time indicator
9.  More consistent design between the mArgin maker strategy and the Ping Pong strategy
10. Login credential checking has been substantially improved
11. Copying data/orders from tables to the clipboard is now possible
12. Bug fixes

All the best

Just wanted to say thanks to the Dev on LeonArdo for the great support on this software, I am genuinely getting instant  bug  fixes and change requests to LeonArdo! never more than 24 hours.

The best part is, without much trading knowledge (being a beginner at trading) I am seeing good profits with very little input with this software.

My strategy has been pretty much the same for about a month now and I am seeing constant gains. Hopefully my portfolio will grow soon and expect bigger daily profits.

My trades for the last few days:

Type   Price           Time
buy   369.05   12/04/2014 09:04
sell   371.312   12/04/2014 03:17
buy   367.972   12/03/2014 21:13
sell   377.283   12/03/2014 01:23
buy   376.379   12/02/2014 08:12
sell   377.35   12/01/2014 21:17
buy   375.35   12/01/2014 14:33
sell   380.43   12/01/2014 13:18
buy   375.375   12/01/2014 09:41
buy   375.375   12/01/2014 09:40
buy   375.375   12/01/2014 09:40

I have another Bitcoin trading bot and I have to say I much prefer LeonArdo. - Keep up the good work!

I've been running leonArdo 24/7 for the last week and I just want to give a BIG thank you to Jonathan and the leonArdo team for making such a wonderful product. I had a few hiccups getting my latest version registered after I accidentally deleted my API key from btc-e, but support from Jonathan was first rate.

I've never used a trading bot before, and I've got a lot to learn, but my impressions of leonArdo are ALL good. Software is fast & stable, and the gui design is very slick. Overall I'm very happy, and having a lot of fun trading now (which I always found too time consuming previously to do on any serious level). Knowing that I have a few different bots setup working for me 24/7 is cool!

My only real suggestion is to maybe add a few 'power' tips on trading strategies and bot setup, like how many bots should you spread your funds over for the same trading pair, complementary settings between different bots to max profits, how far apart to set the ping-pong bid/ask - stuff to help novice traders like me get up to 'pro' standard as fast as possible.

Using leonArdo is easy, but I guess learning how to setup effective bots takes knowledge & experience, and some tips on strategies in this thread would be much appreciated!

TL,DR - leonArdo is a great product, support is excellent

Thanks for the great review of leonArdo MadCow!

We would really like to provide the type of 'power' tips you asked for, but unfortunately we are not in a position by which we can, as a company, give trading advice. We have created a real company, mArgin UG, which is registered in Germany and we are very serious about complying with all the appropriate rules and regulations governing our company's status. Having consulted our lawyer, he confirmed that one of those rules is that we cannot give such advice. We can only sell a tool by which others can make their own decisions in terms of trading. Otherwise we are effectively doing the job of a financial advisor, which currently our company is not registered to do. As we continue to grow we will investigate ways to allow us provide such a service as we would really like to help our customers, especially those who are new to trading, get the absolute most out of leonArdo. Until that point we can only continue to make what we think is the best, most intuitive, interface for Crypto currency trading even better.

We are aware of the fact that this sounds a bit like a cop-out , but the legal situation is very strict on this point, so much so that we are actually not even allowed to suggest a "good" currency pair to trade with. However, we promise to continue working together with our layer to provide the best tutorial and advice possible that gets as close to the border of what is legally allowable without actually crossing it.

Of course the fact that we cannot explicitly give advice does not mean that others cannot share their experiences here :)

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey everyone,

Its an exciting time for us. We have been hard at work improving leonArdo and adding support for 2 new markets. Details to follow very soon.

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you about some of the features of leonArdo you might not know about:

* All API key pairs can be encrypted and password protected
* It is possible to run multiple strategies on a single currency pair! This means you can run our ping pong strategy and our more advanced mArgin maker strategy on the same currency pair. It is even possible to run multiple same strategies, so for example you can have 3 mArgin maker strategies each with different parameter settings (low frequency, high frequency etc.) and 3 ping pong strategies with different buy and sell prices.
* leonArdo provides a fully interactive GUI. It is great to be able to drag your order just above a wall to ensure it goes through. Or visualise the gain you made on the last cycle directly in the chart.
* leonArdo's ruler feature allows you to accurately place your next order to ensure a gain of X% after exchange fees are taken.
* leonArdo will automatically recover should you temporally lose a network connection or put your computer to sleep. After the connection is resumed, it will re-download all trades and fill in any gaps that had appeared in the chart! All strategies will also resume automatically :)
* Using leonArdo's sliders ensures you never place an incorrect order. It makes it impossible to sell more than you have or buy more than you can afford.
* A couple of clicks allows you to add VWAP lines or the latest VWAP price to the chart.
* leonArdo has more than 3 years historical data available in the chart for selected currency pairs.

Enjoy the weekend!

The leonArdo guys

Hey everyone,

We have an issue with our database collection process for bitstamp. This means that you will see a couple of small gaps in the data (of approximately 2 hrs). We are currently fixing this and will let you know when it is up and running again.

You can still continue to trade using leonArdo. The only effect is that you will see a small gap in the history chart.

Best

Issue has been fixed. Old gaps are still there, but will be closed tomorrow. For now the data collection is running properly again!

leonArdo beta 1.4.0 released

We have been very busy improving leonArdo and all registered customers have received a link to the newest version!

Release notes
  • Total restructuring of the mArgin maker strategy
      - Partial orders are handled explicitly now should an order need to be replaced due to max order age being reached
      - The Min. effective margin is now applied to sell/buy cycles and not only buy/sell cycles
      - In a market specific manner the minimum tradable amount is set to ensure the strategy can continue trading after the subtraction of fees
      - Logic has been improved
  • leonArdo will automatically restart trading after a network outage now (no more coming back to a dialog waiting for your input :))
  • Notifications tab updated to allow entries to be stored in a client database. To remove notifications simply select all and click 'x'  or click the tick you if want them to remain but not show as a number in the notifications icon
  • Improved display of numeric values for better readability. For example, hover over a value in the slider and the full precision will appear as a tooltip
  • The "Total" label in the top left corner of the volume chart now also provides an estimate of the resulting volume in the other currency. For example: 2877.8 BTC [641.58k USD]
  • When you hover your mouse in a within the depth-chart for more than 2 secs, an estimate of the resulting amount in the other currency is provided
  • Some more changes under the hood
      - Improved thread safety when manually adapting strategy orders
      - Adapted internal handling of all price and amount values for more accuracy
      - Added new framework for faster integration of new markets (BTER and Bitfinex are already in the testing phase)
  • several smaller bug-fixes

Best wishes,
The leonArdo guys

Hope you guys didn't get burned too badly...

Hi again.

If I use your mArgin strategy or Ping/Pong what happens when the market goes outside those values?

As in if I set it to trade at $260/$265 and the market either falls below or rises above this, does the bot just sit there waiting till I change the values?

Hi SavellM,

It depends :)

If you use the Static Ping Pong strategy you set a buy and a sell price and these remain fixed. However, if you use the mArgin maker strategy, it has a Max. order age parameter you can set which determines lifetime of an order before it is replaced. Once this expires the strategy will take the current market statistics (including your chosen buy and sell margins) and place a new order. To control the amount of gain you want to achieve you can set the Minimum effective margin [%] parameter. E.g. setting it to 1.0% limits the strategy to only placing orders that will result in an effective gain (after the subtraction of exchange fees) of 1.0%.

Does that answer your question?

Hey testbug,

sorry for the delay, but we are working on a new release and an announcement which is due soon.

Which exchanges are supported yet? I read sth. about bittrex,is it implemented yet?
Btc-e and Bitstamp are available right now. Bter and Poloniex are (partly) implemented and in internal testing phase.

How are my passwords stored? Are they stored local or on your server? Is there any connection to/from your server to the software?
If you want, your password is just kept in your local memory. If you do not want to enter it at each start up, you can store it in an encrypted container on your local harddisk.
This functionality is already integrated and is available with a click.
We just serve history data for convience. If that scares you you can just block the ip or we build a custom version for you, but it really is nice to use that data ;)
The software talks directly to the exchange API.

I am interested in your software, would be pleased receiving an answer from you
sorry again, but we are quite busy right now. If you like we are also available for a skype call.

Hi Dadj,

You are right! I use a mouse with a click wheel and that supports zooming in and out. We need to take a look at fixing that for a Mac trackpad. Thanks for the tip.

For now the solution you found is a good one. Just click on one of the time frame buttons. If you right click (using the trackpad) and horizontally slide your finger to the left you can pull out the price aligned depth chart.

Timely and informative responses from the people within the company.

Keep up the good work. As soon as leonArdo has an API for an exchange I use I will purchase it.

Hi Stingery64,

We found the issue. But fixing it will take a bit of time. Actually leonArdo was built to only support Win 7 onwards (it also runs on OSX and Linux). We didn't think there were any XP users left :)

So in order to try to fix it we have to get our hands on an XP version first.

For now have you considered a switch to a newer version of Windows?

We will get back to you as soon as we can with an update.

Thanks for your interest in leonArdo and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey dHe_zHiq,

Thanks for your interest in leonArdo!

The main difference between leonArdo and other bitcoin trading platforms is that it is a C++ desktop application. This makes interacting with it a pleasure. It has been built from the ground up with an emphasis on graphical interactions so for example you can drag limit orders (or bot orders) to new prices, maybe to a price which places your order just beyond a wall so that it has a better chance of getting executed. The order book and wall are also visualised in a price aligned depth chart. And as you drag the order you receive visual updates as to the effect this will have on the gain or reduction in gain you will make.

We take full advantage of the APIs from the exchanges we support and deliver you all the relevant information concerning your account in the unique interface that is leonArdo. This means for example that maybe Bitstamp is offering you exchange fee free trading for this month - if that is the case then leonArdo will receive this info and incorporate it into the visualisation of the gain you can expect to make in a trading cycle for the parameters you have set in your bot.

There are many more features (VWAP, 4 years historical data, ruler, timezones, visualised cycle gains etc.) that you can check out on our website. Just go to www.marginsoftware.de (http://www.marginsoftware.de) and click on Tutorial.

Last but not least we have set up a real company in Germany and are here for the long haul. More exchanges will be added and we are also planning on releasing an API for leonArdo which will allow anyone to write there own automatic trading strategy and run it on leonArdo. Even sell it to others if you like :) And I forgot to mention that leonArdo comes bundled with two algo trading strategies!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

All the best,
The leonArdo guys

leonArdo doesn't allow backtesting yet, but its on our todo list.

It comes bundled with two strategies. A simple Ping Pong strategy that allows you set a static buy and sell price. And a more advanced mArgin maker strategy that is more dynamic and will adapt to changing market conditions.

The best way to check them out is to try the demo, but I know you can't right now as you are running XP. We'll get back to you on that soon!

Check it out. Some nice trades made by leonArdo's mArgin maker automatic trading strategy.

The orange triangles in the chart are all sells and the blues are buys. Notice how the strategy updated the margin between buys and sells by incorporating the trading history...

Great development with the bitcoin price. And great opportunities to trade!

We just implemented support for dynamically allowing both new currency pairs to be loaded at runtime and even markets too! Really looking forward to getting that into the hands of our customers. You are going to love it!

Are you supporting mutliple fiat currencies (e.g. USD, EUR. etc.) ?

Yes. The first new exchange will be Poloniex, which will be released perhaps as early as next week :) And yes, leonArdo supports whatever currencies the exchanges' offer.

Hope that helps!

It looks like you might not have checked the wallet checkbox when you set up your API key.

Can you check that?

No need to close the orders. They are on the exchange. Just close leonArdo and download the latest version. No need to uninstall your old version of leonArdo either. Just install the new one over it!

Or should I leave this order and start a new Margin Maker?

If mArgin maker is suspended you can simply click on it and re-start it.

Another option is of course to create a new mArgin maker. You could cancel your existing order and set up mArgin maker to replace it in the same place. But you don't have to cancel the order :)

Great that you got the new version! The filters on the currency pairs and funds are so handy. Especially when using an exchange like Poloniex which has so many currencies...

Check out leonArdo's visualisation of partially filled orders below. In the active order table we have introduced a progress bar in the amount field so that you know at a glance how much of the order has been filled, and in the chart view you can also see that your order has partially gone through as although some trades (orange triangles) are visible, the order is still there :)

BTW You can check out leonArdo in action by clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7moEH5tGag (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7moEH5tGag)

2-9 seconds sounds pretty longish. Normally it should be way faster.

But we are using pull APIs (as some streaming API's are unreliable) and most exchanges have restrictions on the number of calls per minute/hour (call quotas). However, when you place/cancel orders on leonArdo these are directly sent to the market and this is usually even faster  than if you were to use the exchange websites. This is especially the case if you place many orders/cancels in quick succession.

We have made a start on investigating push API problems and implementing fixes for these to support e.g. web sockets. Then the chart will be updated even faster.

Thanks for the explanations. Will be waiting for push API implementation.

Suggestions for the next versions:
1. Price sound alarms
2. Order book prices grouping by configurable steps
3. Market depth saves visibility state in the charts
4. 1 min candles
5. Order book and market trade history displayed simultaneously

Just wanted to post an update of how it's going.  So far so good.  It's working great.  I do notice when I wake up and get home from work some of my strategies have stopped but that may be my computer or just 8 strait hours of running things can happen.  Basically it does require a bit of babysitting but not bad.  It's not a 100% set it and forget it.

I've had good days and bad days but I'm certainly up in the long run.  I keep my buys/sells in the .05 - .1 btc range so I'm not playing with big money.

I love the marginmaker strategy but I would love to see a smart ping pong added in addition to marginmaker.  Where it tries to put buys and sells toward the top of the bid or ask book and adjusts regularly when people stack orders on top of you.  Maybe let you set it so you keep your orders in the top .5 btc of the book for example.

One of my strategies just quit on me.  Looks like it made a successful buy and something went wrong when it tried to put in the sell that killed the strategy.  I also get the (something like)"Active order. Would you like to cancel" window that pops up like I manually stopped the strategy.

All in all though I put my stamp of approval on this.  Great work devs.  Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your positive review!

Coming back to strategies that have stopped is never good. As long as the network connection is sound and your computer doesn't go to sleep, everything should be okay. Even when a connection is poor, in most cases leonArdo will recover - first suspending the strategy when the connection goes down, and then resuming when the connection is back up again. But, we agree that there are still some exceptional cases in which a strategy will stop for what seems like no good reason at all. If it happens again please send us the log file for the particular currency pair in the .leonArdo folder and we will try to figure out why exactly it has happened.

There is one known issue which occurs given the way exchange fees are taken. If you start buying the minimum amount possible, say 0.01 BTC, you will not receive 0.01 BTC as the fees are taking from this amount. This means you might only receive 0.0098 BTC. Now the strategy will try to place a sell order for 0.0098 BTC and it will fail as it's lower than the minimum allowed. We are looking into a fix for this which might be simply reducing the min amount you can start a bot with so that this doesn't occur in the future. The nice thing about the sliders we have created is that they make it easy to choose min and max amounts so we want this experience to continue to be a useful one.

Good idea about the dynamic ping pong strategy. Such a strategy is on our list...

All the best and thanks again :)

Good idea about the dynamic ping pong strategy. Such a strategy is on our list...

the ping pong strategy is this what C.A.T. makes, but  C.A.T. has no server for history and no RSI, MACD etc.
so you can win or loose if you are in the right or wrong direction
but
with leonArdo we have a server with history and so it is possible not to make only a simple ping pong, it can be a enhanced ping pong in the right direction -> up or down as showed somewhere here with crossing EMA
like this was
MtGox MACD/EMA trading bot (Tobli)
or
chrome butter-bot
 :)

I will certainly send you a log file next time.

Could it be caused by the previous buy being less then what the program wants for the next sell?  Lets say I have it running at 10 XMR. After a couple cycles and fees the buy is only 9.9?  Wait, that doesn't make sense unless I ran out of BTC on my account.  There might be something there though.
Just a thought.

So here's my buy/sell graph on ETH for the past 24 hours:

https://i.imgur.com/H2MF6uU.png?1

As you can see ETH had a big drop but during that drop it had some nice upswings that could have been taken advantage of as well as a real nice recovery that was missed.

I understand that the program is trying not take a loss but there is money to be made on the way down if it was willing to take a loss to get them.  Not to mention a real sweet recovery that was missed.

I set my stat interval to 1 hour in an attempt to keep my buys/sells really tight but there were missed opportunities in this case.  If I want the bot to follow down swings do I need to adjust the min effective margin setting to (lets say) -10?

I bring this up in an effort to learn your program better, not to complain by any means.  I'm a total newb to running a bot.    :D

Here's a case where the bot refused to buy for more then it sold for last.  Again, I realize what the program is trying to do but in this case it missed a real nice upswing.

Hi trippin,

>>  If I want the bot to follow down swings do I need to adjust the min effective margin setting to (lets say) -10?

Yes! If you want the bot to follow swings (either up or down) that means you have to be willing to take a loss in order to make a future gain and keep trading in the new price region. However, we cannot tell you what to set the Min Effective Margin to. It depends on too many factors.

You can practice, testing out the different parameters, using the paper trading version of leonArdo before risking your funds :)

The bot refused to buy because the min effective margin was set not to make a loss.

Therefore, the bot did exactly what you told it to do.

Once again, I suggest trying out different combinations of parameters using the paper trading version. There are a number of parameters that you can adjust and play with to ensure swings you want to catch are not missed. But remember this has an associated inherent risk. If for example you accept a 1% loss on a down swing and the course doesn't swing back up, you have lost 1%. No bot can avoid that...

All the best,
The leonArdo guys

I understand completely the bot is only as effective as I tell it to be.  I set my loss margin to -10 and it seems to be working the way I want it to.  I don't risk much on my trades so I'm not that worried about down swings as long as it keeps trading.  No trading is boring   ;)  I love all the little up and down arrows of filled orders.

Good idea about the dynamic ping pong strategy. Such a strategy is on our list...

the ping pong strategy is this what C.A.T. makes, but  C.A.T. has no server for history and no RSI, MACD etc.
so you can win or loose if you are in the right or wrong direction
but

Once you buy the software the minimum investment it determined by the exchange you use.  Usually very very low.

Hi louen84,

You can just download the binary and run it like this:

 ./leonardo-linux

You will need to have the following packages installed:

qt5-default
libqt5svg5

You can install them with this command:

sudo apt-get install qt5-default libqt5svg5

Let us know if you have any issues!

Thanks for checking out leonArdo,

Hi to everybody

i'm not a leonArdo user , but 2 days ago i started to use the demo.
i'm a linux user , and if you are not using a 64bit distro , the demo on the site will not work.
So i contacted the leonardo team and after that we understand the issue , they created in less than few hous a 32bit version just for me :D
Before buying it i will spend some days to understand the full potentiality of this program, but meanwhile , i would like to say thanks to all leonArdo team and especially to jonathan
for helping me, that was very professional.

just some little suggestions.

1. add on manual trading label - Sell If Executed Price - Stop loss price
2. hide your orders from the market
3. When an order is completed , display in the book orders which bot/(strategy-name) did it.
4. Add Fibonacci levels
5. High refresh rate, i thinks it's too slow
6. 5, 15 , 30min Candles

Thanks a lot and good work to your team.

Thanks a lot for your nice comments!

Yes, the download we have on our website is for 64 bit Linux, but we will add a 32 bit version there.

Thanks for your suggestions. Some of them are already available in leonArdo but perhaps not obvious. Let me go through each of your points.

1. add on manual trading label - Sell If Executed Price - Stop loss price

Do you mean adding a stop loss feature? If so, this is certainly something we are planning on adding.

2. hide your orders from the market

This is possible. There is a button on the left hand side of the chart containing three triangles. Toggling that button will hide/reveal all completed trades in the chart and active orders.

3. When an order is completed , display in the book orders which bot/(strategy-name) did it.

Good idea.

4. Add Fibonacci levels

We plan to add this, along with a number of new indicators soon.

5. High refresh rate, i thinks it's too slow

Right now we are using the pull API. But we are nearly finished implementing push API web sockets and will release soon.

6. 5, 15 , 30min Candles

If you click on the 1H button in the chart the candles are 2 min candles. Clicking the 6H button displays 5 min candles. 12H = 10 min candles, etc.

Once again thanks for your feedback and suggestions!

All the best,
The leonArdo guys

1. add on manual trading label - Sell If Executed Price - Stop loss price
Do you mean adding a stop loss feature? If so, this is certainly something we are planning on adding.

yes , but im talking also talking to set an automatic sell position if you complete a buy order (its a feature tipical of bitstamp platform)

2. hide your orders from the market
This is possible. There is a button on the left hand side of the chart containing three triangles. Toggling that button will hide/reveal all completed trades in the chart and active orders.

no i was talking about put hidden orders from the market , it is a bitfinex feature so other traders will not see your orders. (but i think depends from the exchange)

after that , adding Fibonacci levels other indicators and more trading bots will really improve your program
i dont want to push you over because i understand the lot of work that you have to do guys

thanks.

hidden orders are a nice feature but best one is
a trilateral trade (e.g. BTC-USD-LTC-RUR-NVC-PPC...)
thx :)

New referral scheme for leonArdo

We will pay $25 for every new customer referred to us by existing leonArdo customers.

Yes it would be really great to be able to set an order if some conditions are met (like the price reached such levels and previous order completed or so)...

That could be a way to define safety nets for the bot trading strategies.

thanks !

It's working now though :)

Update

Just a short update to say that yes we are a little behind with releasing bittrex support. Sorry about that but there are just a couple more (minor) issues we need to resolve and then it's ready.

Our next major release, version 2.4, is also close and we are really excited with the new features we have added. Can't wait to get it into the hands of our customers.

And speaking of customers we can announce that sales of leonArdo are up by a factor of 16.5 on the same quarter last year! Welcome to all our new customers :)

Hi NextGenCrypto,

If you think this is a bug then we need more information than what you provided to be able to even start looking into fixing it. Some important details:

  • What OS are you using?
  • A short description of what was happening when you encountered the issue
  • The log. You can find it in the .leonArdo folder

It looks like it is the message you get when you stop a strategy. As the strategy "owns" an order you are prompted whether or not you want the order to remain on the order book or whether you want to cancel it.

But I can't say more until I have more details.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

I think it's linked to when the strategy stops on its own.
It seems to be after it completed an order and can't set the next one because of amount/value problem.
Looks like it's when you use all your balance of one currency, then due the fees, the bot may not be able to keep the same amount in the next order.

I found out that it works better if you use only a portion of your balance for the bot. It will keep trading.

But still the bots seems to be a bit buggued.
Yesterday I had a bot that completed the same order twice.
He bought 5 Ethers and instead of placing a sell order, he bought 5 Eth again !

Thanks for your input sydhelly.

Yes, it used to be that if you used used the min amount in the slider to start trading with then there is a chance the bot will stop as after fees are taken as there is not enough funds left to place the next order. But we fixed that a long time ago. This looks like the opposite case, using the max amount given by the slider. Can you provide some more info? Thanks!

The bot should NOT have bought twice. If you observe something like this please send us the details (including log)!

Thanks,
Jonathan

HI Johnathan,

Thanks for your reply and for the god good consumer support as always.

It was in a previous session so I don't have the log in my current leonardo. Is there a way to get the log from prior sessions ?
(I'm on ubuntu btw, maybe some hidden txt files to access ?)

Regarding the double buy problem, I think it was due to problems of connections with Poloniex during the downtimes/ddos.

If I can access the logs of previous sessions we may be able to know more.

Btw, I am very happy with leonardo software as a manual trading/analysis tool.
I am playing a bit with the bots, but they require a lot of baby sitting if you wanna make some profit out of it in the current alt crypto environment.

Thanks,

edit : typo, "God consumer support" was a bit too much :)

Once compiled you will download the software on the main page and it will work with your key.

The bot should NOT have bought twice. If you observe something like this please send us the details (including log)!

It hapened again with the ping pong bot !

I think it occurs when the strategy is running and you manually cancel the current order.
The bot will think the order has been fulfilled and will place the opposite order, which results in a double buy or double sell.

IMPORTANT 04/15 09:40:35 am [poloniex:bot:ETH/BTC] : [DR. PonG] current order was manually canceled, switching to sell
CRITICAL  04/15 09:40:35 am [poloniex:bot:ETH/BTC] : [DR. PonG] transition to "switching state"
DEBUG     04/15 09:40:36 am [system] : heart is beating ...
CRITICAL  04/15 09:40:36 am [poloniex:bot:ETH/BTC] : [DR. PonG] transition to "creating order"

Please solve this, I lost some money because of this bug. (definitely not a feature !)

Thanks for finding this. On the mArgin maker bot manually cancelling an order results in the same order type being placed again. But the ping pong bot switches states!

Will work on a fix for this straight away. Until then, don't manually cancel orders when using the ping pong bot!!!

Any rough ETA on release for Bittrex support?

We were just about ready to release when we realised that Bittrex doesn't handle partially filled orders well. Everything is an order. But if an order gets only partially filled and then cancelled, things get very strange indeed. We need to find a solution for this within leonArdo's framework as it is different from any of the other exchanges we support...

The thread was right here on this subforum. roughly 30 hours ago.
A copy of the first post of this thread claiming that it's become free and v2.5.

And it was definitely coming from your account, no doubts on that.

  • SMA and EMA indicators added
  • Indicator menu overhaul with new buttons and improved settings area

We have had enquiries from existing customers regarding getting Bittrex.

Remember to use a dedicated API key pair for leonArdo. And please use the email address you used when you purchased leonArdo so that we can verify you are a(n Ultra) customer.

If you are not an ultra customer then go to the website (www.mArginsoftware.de) and click through to Products as if you were buying leonArdo for the first time. Please pay the $29 (in BTC) for the bittrex market add on.

Don't hesitate if you have any questions.

Best wishes,
Jonathan
