Bitcoin dropped in price and even the so called crypto believers and users begin to panic. Is it because we fail to learn? Why do people anticipate Bitcoin to have similar trend as last year December, 2017? This is not how crypto operate. Let's get this clear, Crypto is unpredictable and every user is expected to know this before joining the crypto space in order not to panic in times like this.
Study the history of Bitcoin and you will know that Bitcoin has even suffered worse dips than this yet recovered along the line. Stop panicking and start buying while it is cheap now.

this has nothing to do with crypto believers and newbie panic sellers this time. instead it is an attack against bitcoin that has been building up for a couple of weeks now from the BCH camp, mainly Craig Scammer Wright. in case you missed it the propaganda machine has been actively spreading FUD and lots of lies about how they are going to dump bitcoin. then the manipulation came and with a small drop the bots with their stop losses went crazy hence the current price.

Wait, who's panicking? The usual clickbaity articles all over the internet? Lol. The entire market is in the red, so it's not like it's solely Bitcoin's problem. Everything will bounce back like they always do. It's currently speculated that the hashrate slide caused this, and if it's true, then it's completely a non-issue; it was from a knee-jerk reaction from Chinese miners.

Some people make false news, fud on the internet everywhere. I have seen in this year BTC didn't grown and it stucked at the 6500 USD.

If you are serious on BTC, then its right time to quit including alt coins.

Be patient in the face of a red market, don't panic all the time to get up. Hoping that next year the value of bitcoin will improve. Let's just say that currently bitcoin is being corrected and true investors will take advantage of this condition.

Indeed. Most people or user are quitting bitcoin just because the price is very low right now. But I know that it's just the same like last year. For today, the price is low but next year, it will rise again.

I am already so tired thinking what can have gone wrong this time that necessitate for the Bitcoin value to fall drastically. I have already accepted the fact that if Bitcoin is falling then let it fall as far as it can fall so it can then start rising again. the true believers of bitcoin are the silent type. you never see them advertise their beliefs or the amount of bitcoin they own. there is no reason for that. they are simply accumulating more and more bitcoin before the big bang happens and we reach mass adoption.

the noisy ones are always the short term traders who are trying to earn "fiat" using bitcoin.

I think at this time bitcoin is in the stage of price recovery because bitcoin tends to fall rather than up but this is a great opportunity if we use it in the form of investment because after this can be passed then the bitcoin will rise again and we can sell our assets as long as we can get a lot .

I didn't see any panic yesterday, if anything people were surprise by the sudden drop since not many of the knew the whole war that's been going within the Bcash community and how some people are trying to manipulate the market. I think we got rid of the weak hands and panic sellers a long time, that's why the price didn't go further down, otherwise, we would've tanked to oblivion.

Also, the true believers are the ones who keep accumulating after buying at the dip.

I don't panic and I'm just looking at the market on how its going to recover immediately. But it seems that its just getting started and we can expect more dips to come. I don't want to discourage others but OP is right, there's a lot of worst dips in the past.

imo btc is suffering these price drops because too many people borrowed fiat to buy btc during the 2017 bubble

interest rates are now rising, so these investors are finding they have to offload btc to cover their borrowings

personal savings levels are low, after years of low interest rates, so with little ability to pour saved cash into btc people borrowed to get in, and got in at the wrong time - when the market was rising ...

add the tax obligations that have come with legitimacy, and it's no wonder btc has had a shocking 2018 thus far

As always, I had my full trust with btc currency and with what happen in the current market condition, I believe this dip is just temporary due to manipulation of the price by bigger whales causing the market value to temporary drop. Consider this current situation as an opportunity in buying more btc at a very low price and a great promising profit could soon be gain. Just wait for the right time as btc will recover before the year end. Dont panic at all and stay cool and don't get affected in this bear market season.

In my own opinion, there is really no need to be panic or whatever coz it's normal in the market due to volatility. Those who are panicking are noobs to be honest. Remember there are people who can manipulate the market but it's up to you if you're going to go with the flow or you'll just give up and let those manipulator wins.

Yes, this is right bitcoin's resistance level is not yet broken and this is a very good sign that BTC is still fighting and most of its holders still support so for me there is no reason to panic.

I think most of people who are called their self as a true believer of bitcoin are already disappear because now we see that the value of bitcoin is in the lower price value rather than last year. I think the true bitcoin believer is the man who are still working and investing in the bitcoin even if the  value is in that situation. All we know that bitcoin is full of risk once you will take that risk specially the risk that we have today we will call them a true bitcoin believers but the reality most of them was already left the market because most of them are afraid to take a risk or to commit a loss.

If you see everything is negative, better to take some risk and have a little bit reflection to your strategy. True believers will stay and choose to take the risk into win to win possibility.

They don't have too much bitcoin in their hands. For them, the profit / loss account is not as easy as ours. However, we act with limited budget in our hands. For this reason, how much we believe may not affect the market very much.

It is possible that people left the market with a profit in order to enter it again but at a low price. And some Bitcoin holders began to buy Altcoins, because their price has become even more attractive.

Since bitcoin becomes popular many people have been tried to enter this world and since they are new they don't have enough knowledge how does it work really is. They starting to panic because I am pretty sure that their investment isn't going well but that is just alright, we all came in that situation before we panic and we loss but we should not startled with but rather take it as a lesson. I'm still hold most of my bits, I'm bitcoiner from 2014 and I'm the believer. I will stay still on crypto , you have my word.

Personally I'm still hold some btc that I'm obtained from 2014 and when it reach the highest level on Nov 2011, I just sold 0.05 and kept the rest because I believe that it will increase more.

The reasons for this happenings are from negative news been spread by Bitcoin haters know as the Bitcoin Cash; Hard Fork. Couple of days ago there was a news of BCH Hard Fork destroying Bitcoin and here is the consequences of negative news. I feel like I'm a true believer. I have sold some coins when Bitcoin was above 10,000 USD and I'm trying to save up the rest of my coins for better times. I can wait a year or 2 for the next bull market to start and I'm sure it will start. It always starts, just like the sun rises every morning. One thing that people taught me to do is to never look at daily price changes. Always observe long term trends and the lowest price is getting higher and higher every year. Last year we were at 800 USD, this year if it goes bad we'll go to 4000, which is still 5 times higher.

its human nature- last year spring and summer people would have given their left leg for bitcoin to be at 5500$

Well i think we can still used btc for investment. There is no point of getting panic at this moment if you are a real crypto trader/investor, first rule of any financial market is " Invest only the amount which you can afford to lose" but most people break this rule expecting market to grow after their investment and that is a bitter truth, crash in any financial market is inevitable be it due to any activity and we need to accept it, wait for the right time instead of getting panic, markets are there to recover, if you withdraw of your amount with loss today you will regret tmm.

The price fell because of two people who started the war at the hard fork ! One of them is Dr.Craig Wright he acted dishonestly and collapsed the market for some time !

Panic will only aggravate the situation, so try to be calm and we will be able to get something to make a difference. Price movements will always happen all the time and that is really what you say, a thing that was far worse happened before. We must be calm and patient, that's the point that can help us get a satisfying result.

I wonder how many sells happened during the sudden drop. Panic is such an inevitable word to say at this point, because even in such a sloppy drop of price, people would panic so easily now. Their are not real panic from real uses but it was sold by the miners to dump the bitcoin market and create panic in the market. I was a true believer in the bitcoin but i fed up in this days.. There are many unanswered question for me today. First of all i wouldn't believe anthing about the Mr. Satoshi Nakamuro anymore. I don't even know is he exist, how can i believe something that i don't know about the its founder. Yes bitcoin is a great fact and will live with us forever i believe. But when i think that some big powers rule all about the cryptocurrency it makes me disturb. I feell that is not belongs to us, belongs to some big powerful families. They arrange the price, everything.. I feel just like puppet sometimes..

Frankly speaking, the true believers will never sell out of panic, they will rather HODL for a long term than to run at lose. Sharp drop in price of Bitcoin does not affect Bitcoin true believers because they still much believe that the price will appreciate before the sell. Panic sellers are not true believers of Bitcoin.

Whatever happens on the Bitoin price as long as the adaptation is spreading on different countries then there is no need to panic. Just try to positive on every down trend news for Bitcoin and believe that someday more people will use this currency as a way of payment for their daily lives.

I am agree with your opinion. Bitcoin price always high volatile and its happen for many years. Sometimes price growing up and sometimes drop. Its very usual in any market, but sometimes some investor just want to make quick profits. Better keep bitcoin for long term because its good for our psychology and i am believe its more profitable

Absolutely right we need few panic time if Bitcoin market goes to huge red(down).but don't need wait everything panic time for Bitcoin up price. Basically back to back 2017 year last Bitcoin price huge pumping and always high.but in this 2018 year very bad think Bitcoin market.i see 4 more days Bitcoin price goes to fail 5,500$ few more.in fact now called investor people because their already getting lower situation for makes profit opportunity.

Panic is a natural response when our expectations failed or when things seem to go wrong. True believers are those who stay and continue to support despite its volatility and price correction. They too can't avoid to feel worried at times due to market fluctuation and unpredictable price movements but they don't let their emotions drive them down. They stay dedicated, patient, committed, focus, and hopeful. They know what to do and how to response into situations that may seem very distressing.

We don't need the spreading of adaptation of Bitcoin, it is great but that is still far from the truth these days since a lot of people are still doubting what Bitcoin can do in terms of transaction.

Bitcoin still has a flaw, there are still the transaction fee and transaction time. If we will be comparing that to other methods of payment, other payment method are still better than Bitcoin so I doubt that people will use it. As an investor, we must be positive yes, but not all the time, we should be patient but must also know when to stop and start anew.

I am a true believer in bitcoin, as my goal is not to make money on the course but to increase the amount of bitcoin and continue to study the blockchain and bitcoin. I want to be like Satoshi Nakamoto. I am sure that I can achieve my goal! ;)

True believers of bitcoin might be silent as they continue to hold on their bitcoin. I think some of them may be shaken already due to the current market's status but true believer will never be shaken by any market crash no matter how bad it is.

Early adopters ar making a killing selling Bitcoin even at these prices. Kids that mined a bitcoin a day on their laptops back in the day are multi millionaires now so they don't care what price they will sell at as long as it is above several thousand. I don't think there is much loyalty in Bitcoin or Crypto, those who are evangelists and believers are very few, the rest just wanted to cash in on a new gold rush or speculate to make bank.

I fully agree that bitcoin followers are around us, and I support them in more or less. They are always on the lookout, watching the price of bitcoin in the market and there are always ways they can cope with many cases, they are very smart ;D.

Sadly, a large group of people is interested in the speculation activities. I am not against speculation but I believe that we should give first preference to use it as a payment system. Let's use the crypto as a normal currency without converting it into any other form and build a strong crypto friendly ecosystem. True Bitcoin followers won't easily leave Bitcoin even though the price is down, precisely in this condition Bitcoin holders will continue to hold it because it's impossible to sell it now.
this condition is something commonly experienced by true Bitcoin holders. it's just that they don't reveal themselves because they really don't need to.

For the past week, we knew there's a forking happen on BCH which is I know that's one of the reason got affected by it were the price value of Bitcoin down to 5560$ together with the other altcoins in market was also down their prices in every exchange platform.

Your definition of true believers of bitcoin is not true, people who are being panic, they are not true believers of bitcoins. They are just time pas traders or part time crypto lovers. These things can be understood by the real btc lovers only. I am with panic people because they have been misguided by the speculators and last year bull run. I think the true believers you're looking for are remain silent, especially in this kind of situation. They that you called panic are short term investor who try to earn lots of money through bitcoin. Whereas, we actually don't need to be panic facing the situation, because the value of Bitcoin increase as more people buy it. I'm a true believer and I also believe that BTC is real money no doubt. But it was overrated in the past 2 - 3 years, everybody sold everything to invest in this shit and it pumped to $20K. Now fools don't have money left to invest and it's price is draining day by day. In my opinion the real bitcoin price is around 2K which is due to circulation of bitcoin on different sites the 5K price is being held by fools who have sold everything to invest. so it will drop more because no one is going or have to invest in this. This period is for buying and the rich ones will make more money because they have money to spare. Bitcoin price will reverse and correct, then the trend will change from bearish to bullish. We had a similar scenario last year after same BCH fork both Bitcoin and Ether went down drastically and immediately after that dip we had 2017 bullish run that extended till early 2018. So this year will not be different.

Looks like what Im seeing right now is not crash but manipulation next year institutional investors are coming to bitcoin and now whales are selling btc and buying in dip again some weak hands also selling their coins not knowing this is manipulated it will bounce back and recovers again I believe.

How can you say that next year institutional investors will enter this market , it will never be a sure thing.
But I also think the manipulation is really happening now , as you can see the movement is quite big and common people werent expecting this.
This is a sad truth that crypto market is still possible to be manipulated and we really need more volume and more adoption. But we cant avoid the truth that learning how to use crypto is still not as easy as learning how to use fiat.

I would say just used our common sense. No one is forcing you to believed, however, if you think at how bitcoin started from nothing and almost touch $20k then its pretty obvious that the price can still pick up despite the current downtrend that we're seeing. True believers are everywhere, they don't need to tell the world, its better to keep low profile, imho.

Most people specially bitcoin holders panic with the current value of the bitcoin. In fact, there is really nothing to worry about because has very high volatility and this means that its price is changing from time to time.

Frankly speaking, the true believers will never sell out of panic, they will rather HODL for a long term than to run at lose. Sharp drop in price of Bitcoin does not affect Bitcoin true believers because they still much believe that the price will appreciate before the sell. Panic sellers are not true believers of Bitcoin.

The true believers pf bitcoin will hold their coins at any time and they won't go for trading with their holdings their intention is only to spend their coins in future so they will not cause anything with the price changes,the prices were swinging because of the traders and the investors who want to make money out of the price speculation.

Sadly, those who you say believers will be in the situation where they have to decide for their own good. Its not a panic, maybe they want to strategize while bitcoin is still in a low value. They are still there and believing that bitcoin will regain its value someday, maybe not today but a slow process that needed time and patience. And to those who left standing will be rewarded. There are many true believers among us, the guys that stay on this Forum. I am glad to realize that we, these fellows will always support the cryptocurrencies and hodl them as we know the crypto will grow.

There's no need to panic if we invested the money we can afford to lose in the first place. A true Bitcoin believer do intensive research first why Bitcoin exist and have some entry and exit plan when everything falls and didn't go as we expected. The real supporters of Bitcoin do not panic. If a Jr. Member like you knows the truth of the price movements, so are the true-blooded Bitcoin community members. The catch is that they remain quiet. They do not talk a lot even if the market is dipping. They do not create useless hype for the sake of stopping the dip. A dip is a normal occurrence in the history of Bitcoin. We just have to wait for the greener days.

Bitcoin still has the true believers, and they even support bitcoin no matter if the price is dropping today. They still believe that bitcoin will come back to the higher price so they can make a big profit again. We don't know where are they, but they will always support bitcoin by secretly. People panic, because there is much bad news on out there spreading about bitcoin, will be down deeper, bitcoin cannot grow more but one thing that they don't know, bitcoin still strong and become stronger than it was. Well there still are quite many of us true believers here inspite of how the market acts. I think most of us just prefer to observe the situation or silently add little by little btcs to our bags. There still are a lot to be positive about you know.

I believe that nobody should be a true follower in anything, we always have to use our criteria in different areas, I love bitcoin, but I do not let myself be blinded by its potential, I am also aware of its strengths and weaknesses, I believe that is healthy in any aspect of life.

True believers of bitcoin is there they still continue what they doing even the market is so volatile. The one who always panicking is the newbie in this platform I think they need more knowledge because if they always panicking and believe in fuds they end up to nothing.

Most reviews in the news today were positive and those involved had been in the space for over 4 years, they went through the last bear market and knew what to do during the bullrun. There are better news for the coming year and we hope more fund from different angle will roll into the market. The price manipulation was to give opportunity for the institutions to have part of the cake and invest in large sum, however, The result will be to build a strong space for longer run of high price.

Blind faith is a dangerous thing IMO.  While i am not really a true believer of anything.  I believe greatly in blockchain tech and crypto but bitcoin is the last thing i'd wanna place skewed faith in because there are so many factors which  control the value and movement of it which are completely beyond my control; i understand why some people are so called true believers.  Borne out of hope or the necessity for bitcoin to do well value wise, but such is the volatile nature of btc and crypto in general that it not only requires a belief of the concept but a considered approach.

Bitcoin has been on a roller coaster this year but looking back in the past 10 years we can say that bitcoin is a success even if we are expecting a bigger price for it. I believe that one day bitcoin will stay longer on the top of the roller coaster.

it is really painful that those who had so much believe in bitcoin began to panic just because bitcoin fell in price. we should hodl own coins and believe in the whole bitcoin ideology.
