I am very disappointed to see the price of bitcoin destroyed in recent days, I have lost a lot when I bought bitcoin at a high price, until when this bitcoin price dropped.

The rate at which the price drops is quite devastating, however if you have been following bitcoin closely or even if you start recently, try to familiarize yourself with the history of this cryptocurrency and you will realise this is inevitable. Therefore be calm, you will get a huge profit over your investment with time.

I agree that Bitcoin price had dropped dramatically and nobody is happy, I get that. What I'm skeptical about is if and when is the recovery going to happen? Even if history showed that it happened in the past, the question we face now is if the history will repeat this time again.

Sorry about your disappointment, there are several of us in such scenario right now. What one should have done after buying  high and seeing the price crashes, is to just trade the bitcoin volatility against the fiat, this way some progress of recovery should be made howbeit with some good technical analysis or getting a proven signal at a caution manner. Am hope that these woes will soon come to an end.

I disagree.  I bought several hundred bitcoins several years ago at $250 to $400 each.  Then I got for free an equal number of bitcoin cash.  This spring I used this to buy free and clear a new house, 40 acres of land, tractor, nice wood stove and bed, furniture, Amish barn...the list goes on on and all with cash.  Still have half my bitcoin and bitcoin cash remaining which next year I will buy a travel van, vegetable green house, and solar panels.

Disappointed?  Hell no.  Fact is not everyone is.  I'm not that is for certain.

It is difficult to predict when this disaster will end, and the market may decline lower. Be patient, crypto will not die that way, even crypto can rise and provide benefits.

You only lose money if you start selling at such low prices. If you made an investment for the short-term, you should start preparing what you're next move is gonna be as there's a chance that prices could go futher down. Now, if you invested for the long-term, you shouldn't care about the current market movements since prices will recover in due time, just hold your coins and you'll be fine.

many people seeing the price hanging above $5800 were hoping for it to go down to buy more.. i would call this a great time to. as we are about to nter 2019 where finance firms start a new tax financial year clear of losses. so can easily push forward.
(many finance firms that made a january-march loss didnt want to suddenly profit before year end. so happy to end year at a loss to claim tax deductions) . then in 2019 . boom. asics will be deliverd to people. ETF will finally get some go aheads. and people will be buying coin again.

You don't lose the least amount of bitcoin that you have at any time, you only lose the value of the amount of dollar exchange if you sell it, all you have to do is hold it until the market recovers, about predicting when the market will recover, you can't find it. the market immediately rose from adversity

I share the same with you if at this time it doesn't stabilize, can I make it automatic? HODL just weigh it and give it to others and I think we are more patient learning and waiting for the right time.

Hodling had proven to work during 2014-2015 massacre. Even more - people who increased their portfolio when 1 BTC costed below $300 had been the real winners of 2017 rally. Unlike those, who bought BTC for $15000+

It worked very well then but records confirmed it isn't a good idea since November till date as the price of Bitcoin just continue to tank putting so many investors in a state of dilemma.

Its hard to know if the falling price of bitcoin will stopped or it will continue to falling down. Even me I lost a thousand of dollars because of falling down price. No one can tell until when the price dropped but I think we should expect that if there is a dumped, there will also a pump so just hold your bitcoin and wait more time.

I too felt disappointed at some point but that feeling didn't last long for me. Sure the recent price drop was not expected especially when we all thought that it will have some bullish breakout based on the descending triangle it has formed but the unexpected happened and I was not prepared to handle it. But then I realize that my disappointed at the price won't do no good for both me and what I am hodling that is why I would rather be an optimistic rather than to grieve like all hopes are lost, there is still hope and BTC is still fighting to rise back up again, after all we are all just speculators here and hodling BTC is really risky during the bear market.

try to be patient and stay focused, this is not the end of everything. Excessive disappointment can make you make the wrong decision. this only takes time for bitcoin to crawl up again. you can see from the history of bitcoin prices, this is only a matter of time.

I advise you not to sell Bitcoins, but to remain calm. Bitcoin already had such price drops and it was always recovering. I think that this will happen this time too.

Well, everyone is dissapointed because such fall isn't something we were expecting. But on another hand we have power to increase it's price if people won't panic so much. Since mining won't be profitable for miners, big companies like Bitmain, bitfury... Especially Bitmain, will do something, they do so many shit things. Overally everyone including miners, traiders and so on, wants high price. I think it's just a matter of time, everything will be ok soon.

everyone hears the market down feels disappointed, I think that is certain. because they always wait for the moment when the price increases and can sell their coins. so disappointed it was normal for them. but even though they felt disappointed, they did not show their disappointment, so they kept quiet and waited for the right time to sell their coins.

Dont regret that you bought bitcoin at a high price. Someone bought it when it was at its peak. They should be worried about that. In any case, bitcoin will return to its price and may be able to set a new record for the cost. You should just wait a little bit.

I have joined a chat group on the telegram, here are a lot of investors and they are becoming excited when the market falls. They wish things would get worse because they believe Crypto cannot destroy, making it difficult for Bitcoin to have a lower price. Everyone in the chat group is not as negative as you and they are really happy with this.

Most of us are worried about the price down of bitcoin until now specially those who are invest on a high price.  But we still need to batiently wait until the day comes that it will rise again. We have  to believe  bitcoin.

  It seem everyone have a felt all the negative effect of the market drop on the price of Bitcoin, I am just wondering how? and Why? The fact is, market is very Volatile now, it is unpredictable, what happen on Bitcoin happen also to almost all ALT coin, we should look into the market preview, there are time in the past when market drop but it recovered after few days...we should understand that not all time we have the gain in the market.

Constant? There was a very big move up in August. If you bought at the bottom of 600 dollars you could make a lot of money in that month. These short cycles within a larger bear or bull market happen at least once per 6 months. The price won't be declining forever. The next cycle will come. Maybe in a year and maybe in 3 years but we all know it will happen and the patient ones will win.

We're all devastated so hang in there, we can't do anything about this. If you can still take it, try to average down and if not then leave crypto world and go back here after New Year.  As many charts showing, the bear is not yet done but if you look at history of bitcoin what's happening now is not something new. I read somewhere that we can compare what's happening today to 2014 and if that's correct by first quarter of 2019 then we will be seeing new high in bitcoin so hang in there mate...you're not alone on this journey.

I would have told you to hold your coins till the price recuperate, but here's a thing we all are tired of not going up from a year.

But we should continue maintain our faith and should avoid to be panic at this stage. The prices are falling so what? bitcoin is a decentralized currency that is designed to work that way not to always go up in price. but it happens that because there is a huge demand which is also increasing every day and also because the supply of bitcoin is limited, the price goes up. but that happens over the long haul not in short term.

Yes right, with the decline in the price of bitcoin which is quite drastically close to the end of this year has made many people who invest a little worried about the situation. Well, it's true that the price had abysmally gone down into unbelievable range. But I am not sure EVERYone should be disappointed. Except you mean the greedy Newbies who rushed into Bitcoin because they saw it as a get rich quick investment. If those greedy investors actually followed the chart analysis of bitcoin last year they should have observed that a correction was coming. This is that correction foretold by crypto prophecy. I would advise you to see this as an opportunity and arrest it with your resources. Opportunity comes but ones, the crash was not expected anyway but was inevitable in the world of cryptocurrency, so, seize this as an opportunity to buy more in other to make huge profit later when the price recover. In my perception, although price of bitcoin decrease high percentage, we should take a look to its original primary price, its about 0.1$ compare to its price now i think nothing to lose, but if its price now continues to drop, investors has a good chance to buy more of bitcoins for future investments.

Do not loose hope as:

1) If you see the decrease, there are reasons behind it. It is not without any basic reason and thus it should boost again in future.

2) I think that the current prices are steal deal for current investors to accumulate more crypto. If we see increase to $8000 or so in next few weeks (because of Christmas and new year), it will result in almost 100% profit.

At this fourth quarter of the year is not the best time to hold bitcoin because of fluctuation and many people got disappointed, many had to cut their hoarding and sell it.

I am not dissapointed with bitcoin price because unlike you I learn to be patient when it comes to bitcoin price. Bitcoin price is unstable so we really need to wait for it to rise so we are able to sell our bitcoin and then earn profit. Never afraid to try again take the opportunity to invest but this time that you learned your lesson you need to apply it in order to achieve what you want.

Yes this is great disappointment for me too.. Now we are waiting for recovery, we are hoping it.. this is a very volatile and dangerous market, the price goes up if there is a lot of demand and the price falls if there is no demand, this is already something that all people should know. so I do not see any reason for you to be disappointed


Just keep in mind the following: you will only lose if you only sell with losses, while you hold your bitcoins, you will not lose because you can sell when the price is too high

This is good for bitcoin.

It gets all the people who wanted/needed "quick gains" last year out. It also lets the people who have only spent money they don't need for 5-10 years keep holding bitcoin and seeing how well it stores value compared to other asset classes.

It is really disappointing if you take it seriously and even think easy money which could the market can't give it back to you.
If you just hold your BTC, there is no losses happening but of course people wanting assurance and they just sell their token just to get their money even they are still losing. This is uncontrollable event which could create more dumps.

I think this is a drama that is deliberately created by the most Bitcoin holders so that the BItcoin price falls, to keep the Bitcoin cycle rotating before the Bitcoin price hits the highest sky. And also as a test for investors in facing the rigors of the Crypto world. I personally believe the price of Bitcoin will continue to increase over time.

Yes, everyone is disappointed because Bitcoin prices are going down hard including me. I think this happens because of BCH hash rate war between BCHSV VS BCHABC till now. This won't happen if there is no BCH Hardfork civil war. I hope this war is over as soon as possible.

I have lost faith in the news media and also these ridiculous price predictions these so called experts come out with. I am sure they are paid by whales and institutions to give people false indicators to fomo in and buy then they short the prices right down to steal all the profit and gains from the people. We alone as a family have had two years of gains wiped out in 2018 and have seen our capital go back to what we had in January 2017. So it is like two years have gone for nothing of hard work.

Yes mate this bearish market is very disappointing bitcoins price had fully goes so deep.We have nothing to do with this situation if this was caused by manipulation..but maybe we have to wait when will be the recovery timeframe or when will the whales feel weary of making this bear market.

Well, I can understand your concern and I believe that the situation is more or less the same for most of the newbies out there. Yeah really it is really bad for crypto enthusiasts but be positive always when something destroyed it means there is chance of recreation also. I still believe in bitcoin and it will again come and make history... But understand one thing why should be disappointed? disappointed relying if there is stop of support from developers but development is still running on, recently there was hard fork of bitcoincash and we will have more fork soon. Remember that you don't lose until you convert it to fiat, bitcoin is not a passing technology and cryptos in general will last much longer until something better based on this technology is invented, so we still have enough potential for another climb, just be patient and you will be rewarded.

You can still find people who will pay you thousands of dollars for one Bitcoin. So Bitcoin are not destroyed. You will have a fiat lost if you sell now, then don’t sell. I will say that only newcomers in Bitcoin and those with poor experience are actually disappointed. Everyone else knows that volatility comes along with Bitcoin and that price can't be on the rise all the time. Disappointed are only those who have expected to see 20000$ Bitcoin price by the end of this year. But those were all unrealistic expectations that must have ended in disappointment.
But some of us have different view on current situation and are not taking it in so tragic manner.

The last time that i bought bitcoin, was at $5,000, and it was not a high amount, only a few 0.0xx.

Well Bitcoin is losing value in the dollar so virtually the guy is losing an amount of money.  He bought Bitcoin at high price, and it dip, though I agree the number of bitcoin did not decrease but what OP is telling here is the value of it in USD.  Though it is wise to hodl for now since it makes no sense to sell at a loss.  Bitcoin had proven itself to bounce back several times and this time it will be the same.

Last year was my first time to trade.
I still hold bitcoin with the price 7k$.
And now , the price is really blooding.
I feel really regret not sell them before.
Even i am in dispointed, i still thankful because a day before the blooding price happen, i sold some other coins that now have bad price too.

I've lost a lot, too.I can not even believe my eyes when I look at the price of Bitcoin(it Seems that this simply can not be.I hope very much that the situation will change for the better.Otherwise, it will be just the most grandiose deception of the decade.A lot of people have already been badly hurt.

It destroys anonymity of the miners as all of their locations can be easily found , and a simple flip of an electric switch ends their mining.
Miners are turning off asics due to losing electric subsidies and lack of profitability.

The Energy Waste is a Security Threat & a Direct Threat to the profit margin of the miners, ie: No Profit, No Miners, No Bitcoin.

I agree with what you said in the sense of bitcoin proofing it worth by bouncing back over the years but I want you to know that we cant all be patience or have the require understanding about the crypto market and I'm saying this cause I have some people in this community which are still saying negative things about bitcoin and we cant all be patience either.

We really did not negotiating for this and of a truth the way bitcoin goes down is still a surprise for some of us.  Cryptocoins market has been behaving badly since the beginning of 2018 till now and many holders have lose significant amounts of money.  In fact last year alone over $7billion has been wipe out from the cryptocurrencies market and so many of us has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars!  However,  I believe that bitcoin is going to recover and it is good we understand this and keep faith with the market.  Remember that we are still at the early stages of cryptocurrencies development.

I am not disappointed at all. When Bitcoin crashed down under $4k that is when I started buying again! I couldn't be happier about the price. I hope it stays in the $3000s for a few more months. Dumb money is disappointed, smart money is super happy and accumulating bitcoin now.

At what price did you bought your coins? There are immense reasons behind the price drop of bitcoins but none of them is reliable. Bear markets will end soon bringing bull run. HODL and you will see some good profit for the number of coins you will own. Instead of selling at a comparatively lower price, why don't you just afford holding them? If it becomes partly riskier for you, than try to set a stop loss which can be affordable and buyback some coins once the price drops below your stop loss.
Also i guess, bitcoins might soon see a amazing price as the markets are slowly turning green which is a good sign of growth.

Don't get your hopes too high. The price may stick to $3-$4k for quite a long time maybe more than a year. Remember that it took a year long of bear so its going to be a bad years ahead if you expect $20k. Its going to be difficult to convince an investor to put money on bitcoin if they see the charts.

I think not everyone will be disappointed in the decline, but many also think it will be the beginning of profit and therefore they choose to buy back.

As soon as you change it to fiat you can say that you officially lost some funds of your investment. The best thing now that you can do is to hold and wait for market to recover, if you do not have urgent need for cash off course. Nobody knows if it will happen but you should be patient. Yes, here it is indicated about the break down in value that took place by November. From that the price was experiencing the price to be around $3600, with a price increase leading it to cross $40000 by December. Now after a long it has been staggering to be stable above $4000. As mentioned it is good, HODL and get the best.

Its not just a normal decreased  . btc price was previously sitting on ,19k to 20k usd levels but look at btc now  . btc's value got fell too hard dow to 3k usd .  the price has been greatly destroyed  by greedy individuals .

And why not ?  I can emote whenever i want because this is my life .  i invest in btc thinking that it is already on the bottom but after a few days the price dropped again .  isnt it dissapointing ?

I wasn't expecting it to dump quite this much though, as I was thinking 4k would act as a support level...then again, if you look at the minute chart to see the breakdown, it looks like it going under 4k is what triggered quick liquidations.

Don't disappointed and don't worry about the price. We should remember that price is not fixed and it can change any time. It is not 2017 and it is 2019. We should give some more times to Bitcoin to recover it's price again.

I'm sorry for your loss, though late investors may have lost from this current situation of the market, the early investors are not severely affected because if we look at the history of bitcoin value we can say that it is not yet the worst.
