GENERAL GUIDELINES & RULES:
1. All bounty participants are required to join uPlexa's Discord group: https://discord.gg/a7mAQwJ and must signup at https://members.uplexa.com/signup in order to complete bounty forms after completing a bounty.
2. ANY SUBMISSION OF THEIR SHARES/POSTS ON THIS BOUNTY THREAD BEFORE AND BEYOND INCLUSIVE DATE OF EACH WEEK WILL NOT BE COUNTED.
3. This campaign started on Sunday, December 09th. Thus, each week will end on Sunday at 23:59PM (Forum time). A new week will then start Monday. The reports shall be posted before Sunday at 23:59PM.

How do these bounties work?
These campaigns are on a per-stake basis. When an invidiual completes a specific bounty, they are awarded a stake (N).At the end of the campaign, your reward is defined by your stake (N) divided by the amount of total stakes (work) done by the community. This will give you the percantage of the total bounty (B) in-which you will receive. The formula is as such:
Example: You have 10 stakes. The total stakes for everybody in the campaign you're participating at the end the bounty is 2,000. The bounty is 25,000,000 UPX.

Development & Integration Campaign:

Application:

1. Fill out the form at https://members.uplexa.com/user/bounty?bounty=dev
2. Post a link to your project here (Github/Website)
3. Post any updates regarding your project in this thread (maximum once per week)

RULES & CONDITIONS:

1. Project must provide a use-case for uPlexa and must be either open-source or readily available to the public. Incomplete projects will not be elligible.
2. Project MUST have either a Github page, or a website.
3. Project MUST contain context and documentation regarding uPlexa, as-well as a link.
4. Those setting up a pool does not count as development and will not be awarded stakes.
5. Closed source mining software does not apply and will not be rewarded stakes.

Distribution of stakes:

Once your project is setup, submit a link to the github, website, or working demo in the form above. At the end of the campaign, you will be rewarded a stake level between 1-100 based on commits, updates, use case, complexity, security, closed/open source, and clear documentation. Maximum payout for any given user is 2M UPX. Your stake level MAY be provided earlier, which may be improved upon prior to the end of this MegaBounty campaign. At the end of the campaign, your stakes will be divided by all existing stakes, giving you the percentage of the 25,000,000 UPX you will receive.




Content Creation Campaign

Spread the word with your ORIGINAL content and earn UPX by:
-Blogging, vLogging, videos, podcasts, interviews, or streams about uPlexa
-Promoting your content by cross-site promoting (forums, facebook pages, linkedin groups, or any other social outlets with large outreach
-Feel free to use images from here (bonus points for creating your own): https://imgur.com/a/7Yt6wzU
VIP Content Creators may receive an additional bonus outside of this specific campaign.

Stakes earned pending on quality (decided by uPlexa team after review):

Rejected: 0 stakes
Low: 1 stake
Medium: 2 stakes
High 3: 3 stakes

Reposting to another relevant site will earn an extra 50% of stakes (only one repost per article/video allowed)

RULES & CONDITIONS:

1. The blog/forum/channel must be focused on a relevant topic (at the sole descretion of uPlexa team). The blog or channel MUST be at least 3 months old to be accepted.
2. Blog posts must have at least 250 words, and forum posts must have at least 100 words.
3. Blogs, forums and videos in languages other than English may also be accepted. Check https://uplexa.com to see which languages our website & whitepaper are translated in. We currently support: English, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, French, and Spanish.
4. Videos have to be meaningful and related to uPlexa: the code, functionality, mining, tutorials, introduction, etc. These are preferred topics to create content about:
-Functionality
-Tutorials
-The power of uPlexa, and how it can be used in the world
-Competitive reviews between uPlexa and other cryptocurrencies based on anonymity, decentralisation, and/or IoT.
5. All articles must contain links to the uPlexa website (specific to the language). IF the language is Spanish, link to "https://es.uplexa.com" for example.
6. Videos/articles with fake views will be disqualified.
7. Only original content will be accepted. Maximum 5 original content by one individual will be accepted.
8. Spamming/posting in incorrect subforums will not be tolerated. Posts deleted or closed by the forum's administration will not count.

We will provide stakes based off of creativity, coherence, audience, and originality.





Reddit Community Campaign

I do hope that the Dev bounty will motivate some nice apps! I've seen a few amazing ideas and projects in the crypto sphere, that were unfortunately lacking some real-use applications, and when you're a very little team, as it's often the case in the Blockchain "industry", you can hardly develop the core code (daemon, pools, mining apps, wallets...) AND some real-use or PoC apps.

That bounty is a great idea to bring some of those PoC applications, and show everyone a prood that uPlexa is a great idea! And the team is really generous with those bounties, why hesitate,

I think eCommerce implementation could be one of the first to come... as there are a few open-source eCommerce platforms, that use flexible plugins systems.

Cm'on Devs, let's make this thing rule!! :)

Thanks tybiboune! We have some pretty cool announcements coming out later this month regarding mining other devices. As always, the information will likely be disclosed of in Discord prior to most websites or social media.

As for the eCommerce platform, we're using a platform that two of us had started from scratch in 2015. We had stopped development on the project for a couple years to focus on other things. However, we later realized how we could provide value to others rather than just ourselves. Thus, we decided to integrate the project with this one ;)

Actually when I wrote "cm'on Devs", I was more specifically targeting the community's Devs :) There are plenty of very talented Devs around, who could bring some more added value to the project. They are the ones we need to attract :)

Certainly! We have a few known devs within our community thus far. Our goal is to on board a few other talented developers so we can work on the dozens of other ideas we have that would fit this project rather well. It's an exciting time to be alive.

We currently have two core developers, one of which is predominantly focused on the eCommerce side of things (blk), the other (myself) more-so on the side of the uPlexa codebase, IoT miners, infrastructure, and network security.. whilst still spending free time on the eCommerce platform, as well.

Other than that, for our team we have another core member who is PR, research and marketing. The rest of our current team consists of three casual moderators.

We also have a small network of friends and past colleagues that occasionally help us out or bring new ideas/piece of mind to the project, and we're very thankful for the devs, pool operators, designers, and miners who have been contributing to the project.

Hi! If I'm allowed... Actually I'd have set the reward higher for the Dev bounty than for the content one. But it's only a matter of complaining about something :D :D

I supposed you have been thinking about it, and weighed everything, to conclude that good quality articles would be worth as much as a nice real use-case app?

Not quite. From top to bottom is based on how many people will participate in the bounties (least to most). Developers are more rare than content creators. Thus, less developers will participate in the dev bounty, meaning the developers who do, will receive a greater reward.

And of course, everybody has a twitter these days, thus we anticipated that this is where the most users would flock to for "easy UPX". However, the "easy UPX" is more so on the development and content creation side, due to bounty participation stakes made by fewer people for greater rewards ;)

As I mentioned, you did think thoroughly beforehand ;)

I was also thinking... why not add a few suggestions or examples, concerning the apps that can participate into the bounty? I know that, even if I'm not a Dev (at least not skilled enough to participate here ;)) but as a graphic designer, generally speaking when I'm in front a "white page" I can be just....stuck :)

I like to have a few guidelines before starting the creation process.

Maybe the same occurs to Devs? In that case, why not give, in the main post, a few examples of some apps that could be interesting for the project?

Hi whotheff, that's odd - I've just gone ahead and submitted configurations, using three different computers, via the MPLS at work, and my home broadband.
I'm unable to replicate the problem. Any chance you can attach a screenshot, or maybe DM me? When exactly are you seeing the rotating symbol, when you click 'submit'?

Appreciate your help with this! I can also take your configs via Discord or DM if you like, but I'd obviously rather the interface was working for everyone!

That is true. The quality overall has not been the greatest. We kind of knew it wouldn't be the most valuable going in, which is why we're focused more-so on the developer & content related bounties. Our next megabounty later in 2019 will not include social bounties.

Maybe you're thinking about some specific apps that would bring some cool added value to the project, that could inspire the great Devs who may come on this thread?

What do you mean by "moving transactions"? participating in the network to empower it and participate in the global verifications of transactions?

If that's what you mean, I think it's the plan :)

The core difficulty of it will be to give a good chance for IoT devices to get some reward, no IoT builder would be interested in integrating (or allowing integration of) some mining app in their devices if they're not assured that it can bring some benefit to their users (and to them builders, too ! ) -> so that comes to my suggestion/question in the Ann thread: how to find a way to make things balanced when IoT devices are to massively join the party?

The incentive should be in the payout afaik: a standard set-up for instance at 95% for the owner of the IoT-device (miner), 4% to manifacturer and 1% pool fee. But automation must be high, if not 100% to appeal to all parties. But this will bring some etxtra pressure on the network as well. Interesting to see where this goes :-) 

In the meantime we need some devs to come and play with Uplexa. SO if you're a developer, help us out with some fantastic apps and get those Bounties!!

I think that limit content creators bounty to just supported languages is keeping people away from join the bounty...I mean, I'm italian,, I'm ok with write english content, but I think I could be more useful spreading words abount uPlexa in my mothertongue language too, this will also help spreading knowledge abount UPX worldwide, considering that uPlexa still lack support of important languages (deutch and russian, for example).

That's a good point, here... @uPlexa : would you allow members to participate in their native language, or English only?

Could be nice to have someone write, say one original article about uPlexa in Italian, it gives him/her xx stakes in the bounty, then another member translates this article into English, allowing him to claim xx(-y) stakes because he didn't "write" the article, but translated into his mothertongue, which is still very valuable work.

Seems like a good idea to me. The more laguages covered the better. I am not a good writer, but translating should be doable, even for me ;)

If the incomming platform is really aiming to be global,

If you read it, it proves the article does what it's supposed to do right! YOU will not read anything new in there, but some other folk on the internet will see it, ask themselves some questions, google it and land on the uplexa-page.

When I check some of the twitterlinks I also ask myself what they do add to the community and the project. Nothing new in there too. But it is easy to see how many followers the accounts have, and you know it brings esposure.
 
With this article it's harder to see what it brings to the project, and I know it's written/translated poorly, but it will still provide some extra exposure.

Whether you should reward this kind of quality, I don't think so! ;)

at least the author of that article give some extra effort to make and share that in the public  ;D it will still help for the project

5. Mining the heck out of it with my one cpu, made in the day IoT was not yet a Thing, complemented by my awesome Androidminer, and getting some stakes through bitcointalk.

Btw did I mention what an awesome job the devs are doing with this unique project?! Get in as long as it's cheap, with the new exchanges and other plans this will soon be over...

Was a new Exchange announced? and a "much bigger one that Graviex", as far as I remember?

Excited to see what's coming :) the anticipation on discord is over the top :D

New Exchange has already announced and it is Stex exchange.. Im not using it, but now i think i can use it because of uplexa ;D

I was matching a youtube video where it is shown how Tesla software sees the road: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgBBTDu1rzk&feature=youtu.be And then I asked myself:

 Will uPlexa run on electric cars while they are charging?
 This would be a perfect example for IoT mining.
 What are your thoughts?

For sure, if we reach Tesla with our mining app, even if it only consumes a bit of electricity, it'll still feel like too much for them.. unless they let the driver choose, eventually? sacrifice a bit of battery to get some reward, or only mine during charging...

Just some quick thinking:

Dreaming Tesla is nice, but there has to be a serious incentive for them to allow mining through their product. That seems quit a challenge for the Uplexa-team.
I think as long as Tesla does not approve it is very hard to get it done legally, because I can imagine their warranty package will not allow this,
or they don't like being associated with mining crypto, etc.

To catch on for joe public it has to be legal. OR you can just do it without approval, then Tesla files a case, crypto-mining comes in the news negatively (again) and it will never appeal to the general public.
I'd love to be proven wrong though ;)

Since the incentive model (earning UPX) for the Tesladrivers is allready there, and if mining is made easy and a one-click trick,
convincing the tesla-customers is a lot easier. But to catch on it has to be legal.

Imho it should have a dedicated wallet with an automated system. Which will periodically allow to convert UPX to local currency against the highest possible rate (market-order)
and deduct earnings directly from the monthly electricity-bill, or send earnings directly to your bank-account.
This system should be optional ofcourse. 

This applies to every electric car, and ultimately is possible for every IoT-device. If IoT-mining Uplexa works on Tesla, is done legally and earns back the electricity-bill, you got everybodies attention and UPX will definately gain traction.

I think its possible if the team will have enough knowledge and support to do that and maybe the future is also a electric cars could beat the range anxiety problem

Tesla's and any other electric vehicle will keep getting more and more computational power so it can drive people by itself. Human brain computes tons of data while driving, so to replace it, there are cameras, radars, lidars, GPS, parking sensors, rain sensors, and many many more sources of information which have to be computed before the central onboard computer can take a decision.

However, when the car is charging, this computational power sits idle, doing nothing. And when some day the warranty period is over, you can install the miner with no trouble. This is where uPlexa comes :)

I can't help but "bounce" on the "quite a challenge for the Uplexa-team" comment... I agree that it sounds like a loooooong road to drive to get there, but let's remember that since some other crypto projects have been struggling for more than a year to be able to release a working dedicated Android mining app (and it has not been released yet there...), while within a few months of existence, uPlexa Team delivered a working Android miner, which moreover allows you to decrease the CPU intensity while increasing the hashrate :)

So about that Tesla idea, I'd be more... wait'n see, those guys have never yet made any cheap talk, they have always delivered on what they were planning to.

I think we could have a few more very nice surprises soon ;)

I just spoke with the main Dev on Discord (https://discord.gg/ddRVYCb).
He explained that for now uPlexa resistance to ASICs is pretty high
and the chances for someone developing such device for
the custom UPX Cryptonight algo are minimal.
However the team has a backup option in case someone spends
several hundred thousands on a new ASIC developmnet.

So.. keep mining!

It will take some time, but when the uPlexaproject is full on, the ASIC-makers will try to get UPX under their control. Fortunately the devs have measures in place to counter these ASIC-attacks on the spot. Seeing whats happening to Monero right now, that's a reassuring thing to know. For now we just need steady growth and development, that will work best when still under the radar of the big boys.
Better get those CPU's and IoT-thingies to work!

Are you using the same pool? Same miner, same hardware?
Please provide statistics! There must be some error.
The only thing that has meaning is Hashrate, difficulty and ping (to some extent).

yeah it's not normal to see the reward decreasing suddenly... but actually the hashrate is quite volatile nowadays, as far as I can see it fluctuates between 4 MH/s and 8 MH/s. I guess our whales's minds are fluctuating too ^^ (oh I need to mine this cool coin! - ok, enough for now - oh, let's mine a bit more - now that's it! - oh damn they're on a cool exchange now, let's mine again (...) )

Anyway, we can see more and more "regular/average" miners, and it's very positive cause those are the backbone of the network, it's definitely better to have a crowd of miners than a few whales who can play with the network as they want.

Seeing the stable minimum 5Mh through 'regular' miners is pretty decent for a project this young. It shows those regular miners are cnovinced that uPlexa has potential.
The fact that some whales are on and off means it is not a profitable project for them (yet), but that they do want an piece of the cake.
And when the project has the payment processor, keeps expanding and time and price are right, the whales will be back in full force, feeding on UPX.

This is normal. It started at 4600 or something like that and decreases slowly over time, just like other most other minable coins. It's a way to counter inflation.

I really disappointing by uplexa after asking for payment since couple of months I loss my hope team is not responding in discord not via support if they do with there supporter so beware they will do anything in the future.
