I always say that there is no time to buy a bitcoin but there is a good time to sell the bitcoin . After Bitcoin reached $ 20,000 and some of the junkies did not sell what they owned from the bitcoin they really were cowards . and in their minds they were getting up to $ 50,000. No one can predict each and every price dip so the smart play is to cost average in your buys so you can take advantage of any price drops if they do happen.  It is usually best to not go all in unless the price is stupidly cheap.

i remember when bitcoin was almost twenty thousand dollars, people were wishing they had bought bitcoin before it mooned but today it is way below what its cost was as of late 2017 and early 2018 and people still had saying in their mind that they wish it plummets even more to give them the privilege to invest but then there is no  fixed time to invest as it is a good point and time to invest.

Looking at the all time lows is definitely a better strategy. This means that it is unlikely to go lower than 3000 this year. Most likely it will reach 3300 before bouncing back up again

if you intend to Hold for the next few years, then this is good portunity to buy, but if you intend to make a profit quickly then you can expect the price to fall even lower and then you buy

Forget the ETF, if the SEC wanted to approve, they would have done it months ago

It depends. If you dollar cost average it doesn't really matter when you buy. Obviously, people doing so are less incentivized to continue buying during a bull run, but at these *lower* levels you can't really complain.

I rather keep buying smaller chunks of a coin at current levels than waiting for lower levels without buying, because that makes no sense since we don't know where the bottom is or if we have bottomed out already.

Don't forget that when people turn into bears and expect the price to fall down to super low levels (I have seen various predictions of $1200), know that it could turn out to be a great buying opportunity.

It is always the time to buy bitcoin, especially if you intend to keep it for the next 2 yrs or so. We might be in a bear market now but do note that it does not take forever before we can recover, and 2-3 yrs is already an enough time for the market to recover. As for the ETF, if the SEC really wanted to approve that, they would have done it by now, or at least a few months ago yet they keep on delaying, which, to me, suggests that they really don't want it in the first place.

Yeah, my only basis to buy bitcoin is when everyone is panicking about the dump price and I think that’s the most profitable time to have more bitcoin. Just like what happen in the past, people are panicking and the result is so good for the hodlers since we can now buy more bitcoin. Don’t waste time like this, its cheap and bitcoin deserve to have new hodlers.

This is a good moment if you are an investor which has experience already with this market and know what to expect, but for those that are just starting out the circumstances are different, the price is very attractive but can they hold their coins effectively when the price is still not recovering? I think clearest choice would be yes considering bitcoin is as low as it has ever been (or close to it) right now bitcoin is closer to 18 month low than high, I know 20 thousand dollars looks very far away but even if the price goes to 5-6 thousand dollars that is more than 50% increase in price and that is still quite an achievement for any investment ever.

What other investments could give you a 50% profit in lets say 6 months time ? There is nothing like that in the world right now that could give you that much ROI for your investment. However bitcoin reaching to 5-6 thousand dollars this summer is still a quite achievable goal and that is why buying bitcoin right now looks like a great deal. Will it be those levels by this summer ? We don't know, is it possible ? Very.

Just wait till the price goes $3K or lower, before you can you and buy a lot of bitcoins. Yes it is a great time to buy bitcoin. I've been buying regularly since it went under $4k two months ago, and will continue buying regularly for as long as the market continues to skate along the bottom. We are in the accumulation phase in which smart money is accumulating Bitcoin right now to make massive profits over the next few years during the next bitcoin boom. After the bouncing from 3200.00 support and further upward movement, the price could not pass through the cloud and start a new uptrend. Senkou A line could stop the market and we got a price reversal with a falling to 3500.00 support. Now we have 2 zones at 4100.00 and 3500.00 which act as borders of a possible price channel .

DMI indicator shows range market conditions where ADX line is below 20 and moves sideway. It looks like the market is going to continue the sideway movement and repeat the same setup which we already could see in September-November.

In that period we also had a failed attempt to move above the cloud, the falling to a strong support at 6000.00 and the sideway movement for about 2 months. After that, the price broke the support and we could see a strong falling to 3000.00 support zone .

We have to remember that all sideway movements are finished by a breakout out of a range.

The same goes about the range which we can get these weeks. Just the most important question will be - in which direction the price will break the range?

For confirmation the further upward movement, the market will have to move above the cloud. It will confirm the strength of bulls. If DMI supports the breakout by ADX moving above 20 level and higher, we will be able to expect reaching 5000.00 and 6000.00 resistance levels very quickly. This variant looks more realistic as the market is at the possible bottom and only fundamental news playing again the crypto will be able to push the market downward. For confirmation further falling the price will have to break 3000.00 support. If so, 2000.00-1800.00 support zone , 1000.00 support level will be the targets for a bearish market.

You can speculate buying in this drop and fill your bag with bitcoin, and after that and just need to sit down to wait for the market to recover, it will be very profitable for you.

If you have what it is necessary to hold your coins for the long term then the answer is yes, just a warning many think they have what it is necessary but they are mistaken and they find out at the worst possible time, when the price of bitcoin is crashing, so try to be honest with yourself and ask yourself if you can really keep holding your coins if you lost 70% of your investment in a year, if you cannot then wait until the market begins to go up.

This is solid advice. Never invest money in crypto that you can’t afford to lose. Other than that is a good time to invest if your plan is to hold for long term (2-3 years). You will see great returns and if you are a little afraid to commit large sums just invest $10 each day and in around a year you will have a complete Bitcoin.

I mean it is a great advice on any investment at all, hell even purchases. If you are buying bread to feed yourself than go for it but if you are making excessive expenses that you can't afford than don't do it.

For example, I used the same iphone 4 for years and my wife had the same iphone 5 for just couple years (2 I think) and when my iphone 4 broke, instead of spending money to fix it (which would be as much as iphone 4 itself) we decided to get a new iphone 6 and now I am using my wifes same iphone 5 and she is using the same iphone 6 for the past 3 years. There are people out there who get iphone 8 and than iphone x and than iphone xs and whatever is the newest always go for it.

Don't do that if you have to pay them in installments, do it only if you are rich enough to do it. Basically always try to invest/purchase according to your situation and never go over board with it.

If you have some risky fund I will said yes but if you don't have and what you have is for your expenses I will said it is not the right time to invest for you.  Bitcoin has really gone lower than expected and many people are afraid of investing into the market currently but for those that can take the risk there is no how they are not going to make profits.

For the record, SEC has doesn't have power to ban, they can disapproved. Unfortunately, the SolidX CBoE Bitcoin futures offering was withdraw a couple of days ago. So the supposedly initiator for a bull run was gone for now, but the good thing is the price is quite stable and didn't go down as expected.


As long as you can take the risk then its ok to buy specially that the price is so cheap. The problem is with people who are afraid to enter because of the volatility and they don't see the potential of the price to grow overtime.

all those ETFs so far weren't actually "initiators of bull run". in fact i believe if they were approved we might have seen a short rise and then fall back again because the trend wasn't changed at the time and things like the BCash fork attack still were in effect against the rise.
that is one of the reasons the price didn't fall though. nobody had any faith in these ETFs to get their hopes up.

That is why we don't have to buy 1 bitcoin directly because we need to have spare money to buy more bitcoin if the price suddenly down too deep. If we can save more money, we can decide how much bitcoin we need to buy now while we still have money to buy again later. You can buy bitcoin at any price you want but remember, you should have money in your balance just in case if the situations on the market changed in the next day.

of course "we" in this context means a day trader or anybody who is actively involved with bitcoin market and resides on an exchange! otherwise for everyone else who is not going to have the time or willingness to spend a lot of time trading and on exchanges it is not a good idea to wait around specially since that means leaving money (fiat) on exchanges that can scam you at any moment. otherwise if you wait and don't leave money on exchanges the price can fall and you wound't be able to buy because depositing fiat takes a lot of time.

If you believe that the coming news about SEC could make the trend bullish then you need to accumulate more bitcoin while it's price is more cheaper. Yes it could make the price rise a little bit but not enough to rise higher to the $10k level as this should need more adoptions to rise higher to above the all time high. With or without ETF this bitcoin will rise if we have more adoptions that will increase the daily demand and we should use this coin for our daily transactions and buy more bitcoin for our future. Indeed nobody can predict the price of bitcoin as this will follow with the demand in the whole crypto market.

Price of bitcoin has been falling drastically. To my view the price will fall even lower than the present value. It is good to stay calm for a short time period and invest after the upcoming price fall. Till date I've come across lots and lots of monthly expectations. On every month starting people speculate growth will take place. Now people have begun to speculate focusing on February. In this way I prefer buying as much after a short time period.

you are right. for now, maybe seeing the situation first will be a good decision. I suggest buying bitcoin when you really need it. Current prices tend to go down, and there is no information that can make bitcoin prices higher. however, I think, some people feel that this is a great opportunity to collect large amounts of bitcoin.

I think that buying at a low price simply to encourage pumps is not a total benefit and may just cause a commotion about calling bitcoin as a scam once more.
For sure, those who still have investments will withdraw once it starts to rise again and will just more dumping.

I do wish that there is a solution for such. But I guess as prices go down, investors lose interest.

They said yes on $13k, $10k-9k-8k and then still yes to $6k-4k. After witnessing those, I highly advice to anyone that who wants to buy again to assess the state of the market. Before, random altcoins still spike everyday but it does not happen now so it's better to wait for that cycle to happen again before buying more btc.

It's easy talking at current levels. If you bought the dip at $13k and the price jumped back up to $20k you would be called an expert, but now you're a dumbo, that's how things go here.

If you buy the market down dip by dip, you should stick to lower buys and increase the amount you buy in the lower the price goes. I have been buying between $6-$7k as well, but with fairly low amounts because I didn't believe the bottom was in.

To give you an example: at current levels the amount I dollar cost average with is almost 175% higher than what I used to dollar cost average with between $6-$7k. The amount will keep increasing the lower we go.

Well, sucks for those that bought in within the 13k to 8k range but i think now is a good entry point. Even if the price dips below 3k or even 2k, there's really not much room for a drastic drop anymore. I don't think so because the context of "we" it doesn't mean a daily trader only, but it's for every people who want to buy bitcoin or altcoin. They can buy the coins in any of price, and they don't have to watch the price every day. I have a friend who still buys bitcoin especially if the price is down and she doesn't care about what is going on with the market. She only needs to know that the price is going down deeper so she can buy more and more at the low price and I always tell her that bitcoin is at the low price and she can decide later to continue to buy or not.

the condition of the cryptocurrency price is currently not good and there are lots of coins whose prices fall and if you still have money then now is the right time to be able to buy as much as you can because the cryptocurrency price is very cheap buy as much as you can.

Your arguments are valid but that is because you are thinking as a long term holder, my point is that many think they can be a long term holder only to discover they are not, there are things that can be quite challenging to understand and this is one of them I do not have any problems being a long term holder and it seems you do not have those problems either but most people do not have the necessary patience to do that so if they invest in bitcoin for the long term when they are incapable of holding that long they are going to get ruined.

So many good options and bitcoin is one of them. We should hold more bitcoin now because I can feel the bulls are coming now and we will make another good run this year. Diversify only with huge coins and don’t go for shitcoins, that the safest thing to do when you are investing.

It is impossible to know the bottom of this drop. Maybe 3k maybe 2.4k or maybe we have already bottomed. But I am pretty sure that the people who are buying now will earn lots of money.

Before they can earn money from bitcoin, they need to wait for a while until the price can increase higher. Bitcoin is a very precious coin for everyone in the crypto verse to have. This time has given many people to load their bags with bitcoins. Even the haters are buying for the profit they could get when they hear of predictions like bitcoin to 100K.
I would hesitate to have more bitcoin at this time when the price is low compared to the ATH.

Looking from the point of view where just a year ago bitcoin price was 18, 19 thousand and today it is 3 and a half, we could assume that it is good moment for buying more coins. Bitcoin touched ATH value once, showing the potential that can reach it again.
On the other hand, showing potential and being there once doesn't mean that will happen again. Other concern is if the price will continue to fall. Than we should wait for better moment. Basically we can not know for sure if it is or it is not good time for investing.  We can believe in good scenario or not believe  and make  our decision based on that.

If you want to invest in the short-term, it's better to wait with shopping, because we can not be sure the bear market has ended. If you want to invest for a long time, then you can buy now, because it is possible that this is the end of price drops and it may be the best price at which you can buy. Even if there will be some little drops, in long term for sure you will get good profit.

I think it’s a great time to buy but just in dips every week. Currently I am doing small daily buys and just Dollar Cost Average everything under 6K. I am just buying regarding the price. I will be happy if I get an under 4K average and hold till 30K.

I suggest setting a goal in terms of an amount of btc rather than buying at a certain price. Some have a goal of one btc. If they get to that goal they can live with whatever is thrown at them. That month of January was the best time to buy bitcoin because the price is now at $5900, but bitcoin is still cheap, it is not too late if you buy it now because who knows in the month of December it will reach over $10,000.

This month is not good to buy more bitcoin because the price is on the way to increase but if you don't mind with the price now and you only want to hold bitcoin for more than 1 year, then right now still a good time to buy bitcoin.
Maybe you can wait for a while until the price can down to a low price so you can buy bitcoin. But I don't suggest to buy a whole bitcoin directly because you can get a higher price and you could wait for a long time before you can see your profit.
Always analyze the price, and the chart will be the best thing you should do before you decide to buy bitcoin and don't use all of the money to buy in one-time order buy.

Now is the time to buy Bitcoin, as their further growth is expected. If you have free money, you can invest it in Bitcoin and just wait for it to grow. It makes no sense to twitch and try to earn on fluctuations. Cryptocurrency will reveal its potential only in the future by 2020.

Even we saw the growing market but we don't be confident enough cause nobody knows what is exactly happen in the coming days. A risk of investing crypto during bull run will be more higher that during the bear season. If you are a risk takers then, its up to you to decide and so nobody could be blame in the end.

As you said, the expected price may increase in the future and because it is a story of the future, it will not guarantee and we should not buy more now when the value is increasing, the time to buy has ended, we cannot jump on this train, the collision will be very dangerous. Waiting will be a good thing to do, when this uptrend is over, that will be where we start our goals and dreams, buying more at that time, opportunities and profits will be very high and risks low

Before some days I had calculated that if someone was buying consistently Bitcoin every week or at least every month you would be able to make a profit.
In my opinion, it is always time to join the market and if you are not able to buy with large amounts you can spare these amounts in smaller portions and get advantage of the continuous growth of the price.

How can you know that? What if that doesn't happen? Or maybe you are someone who believe to Jhon McAfee's prediction? There is no one will know appropriately when the best time to buy, when the price will goes up and when the price will goes down or even for some expert who predict it never say bitcoin will ONLY reach the price at specified years.

I did a quick picture because people believe better what they see.    The point here is not to buy once because sure its impossible to know exactly when, but buy into doubt of something in the larger time frame that is growing:

Sorry its very rough but the real graph itself will be messy of course.   These are really harsh sell offs Ive drawn into the price but if you imagine left to right there is a rise in price overall, it might be starting 3000 and 4000 at the end and even if it took a year to do that and many sell offs then its a legitimate good gain and worth having.


The real impatient and skilled even will manage or attempt to sell off on each peak and buy on the lows, that might not be possible but buying when people doubt something that has worked for 10 years;  that is a possible strategy for everyone

How long shall we continue with this word of no one knows. This “no one knows” is what many people has been saying since last year till they miss out of $3000, no one knows, till they miss out of $4800, the same no one knows, many people will keep repeating till they reach the ATH, and by then, they will realize that no one knows as put zero coin in their pocket because they are nit risk taker.

Even if no one can accurately predict the value of BTC, but one thing we can all predict and sure of is that they price of bitcoin will still x3 of the current value, which makes now the best time to still invest in BTC.

If you are a believer in bitcoin, I believe dollar-cost averaging is a way to lessen risk and gain a potential windfall in the long run. By dollar-cost averaging, you avoid buying on major upswings, as is tempting to do. I personally think we are in the beginning of a bull market, so the super-low prices we saw earlier in the year are probably not coming back.

In my idea this is the time to buy more bitcoin, while the price is not so high. Because if you have bitcoin now, then on the next days it will high and you can earn profit. Dont wait for the next time to buy more bitcoin. This time is the good opportunity and you keep it for the best time to sell.

yes, the price will be even higher. I started thinking of collecting all my assets in the form of bitcoin. this might be profitable in the future. but, I need to think about it carefully. well, having a lot of bitcoin right now isn't a bad idea.
