Overview

Obscure(XSC) is a cryptonote currency with compulsory mixin values. XSC was officially launched on 15 March 2019 with it's mainnet release. XSC's vision is to be at the fore front of privacy which is easy to use. We are currently developing several projects that we believe will allow mainstream adoption to occur, without the need to compromise the user's privacy.

We have also identified the problem with using Cryptonote mixin values - even with mixins, one of the input and outputs will always point to the sender and user. It is possible with a a large enough dataset, blockchain analytics can be employed to determine the sender and receiver of coins.

Coin Specifications

After much consideration and criticism from the community, we will be increasing the block reward to 3.5XSC and reducing the presale from 10BTC to 2.5BTC. Thank you everyone

Total supply: 65,000,000
Premine: ~7.5% ( 4,900,000 XSC)
Presale: 2.5 BTC , 1.07% of premine, for a total of 700,000 XSC (for exchange listings and payout BTC bounties, funded by the premine)

5.3% - Dev fees
0.53% - Community Bounties
0.53% - Faucet

The percentages between dev fees and community bounties are not fixed and can change over time.
Any coins not sold from the premine will be split equally between the community bounty and faucet

XSC will be available for presale at a rate 1BTC = 70,000 XSC until the 15th of march.
You can purchase less than 1BTC.


Faucet
To ensure a fair coin distribution, a faucet will be made avaialble, with up to 350,000 XSC up for claim. This is to make sure that XSC is not decentralized among early miners. The faucet will be filled up with denominations of 10,000XSC and will be refilled when empty. Each wallet can redeem XSC for an unlimited number of times. Have fun!

ZeroCT

ZeroCT is a new protocol based on the Zero Protocol. However unlike the zero-protocol, ZeroCT is capable of sending unfixed denominations of zObscure such as 1239214 XSC. WIth the original Zero Protocol, you can only send in specific denominations. Our implementation of ZerCT will use masternodes to calculate validation proof from the blind factors. This reduces the load off the full nodes which process normal transactions. Our goal in the future is to fully eliminate full nodes and implement a masternode system.

Obscure.sol

Currently it is impossible for a developer to create dApps using his preferred cryptonote coins. A developer might want to create using Cryptonote instead of Ethereum because he wants to application to be private and transactions untraceable. Enter Obscure.sol. Obscure.sol is a modified web3.js module that is served by masternodes. There masternodes will be able to link the Ethereum blockchain, XSC blockchain or another cryptonote blockchain.

A developer can make web3.js calls to the Ethereum virtual machine as long as he pays XSC as gas. These masternodes will covert the XSC on the fly to ETH, and keep some of the XSC as fees.

xPay

Singapore has a GDP per capita exceeding that of USA, Germany and France. Despite being an affluent nation, there is still no standard king for mabile payments. The market is fragmented with players who are unable to capture the market. We propose xPay, and we are confident that xPay will be able to scale in the Singapore Mobile Payment market.

xPay is a cryptocurrency wallet first and foremost but built with powerful 'mainstream features' which are regulated:

1) No KYC needed to transfer money between account
2) Creditcard top ups will be available for all KYC-ed accounts
3) Transfer via NFC like ApplePay and SamsungPay
4) Merchants and Non-merchant accounts have no difference, making it easy for anyone to start selling
5) Easy integration into different POS systems

Obscure.IM decentralized market

Interesting, will 1 XSC be every 24 hours? The coins are now testnet, right? Will wallet windows 0.35 be available + XSC original from March 1st? This reminds me a little of XRB (RaiBlocks) or NANO for the current ones. ::) I'm referring to the claim system, of course. :D

When I launch wallet ( go wallet ) on windows wallet form stays empty...nothing appears?? Anyone with this issue?

Please use the v0.34 for windows. Currently compiling the v0.35 for windows , it will take some time :)

I have seen that you will reduce to 0.3 XSC the faucet. Why such decisions? Are they predicting a massive demand and so if it continued 1 XSC would the faucet drain quickly?

Hi thanks for your question. This is because our block reward will be reduced to 7XSC from 30 XSC. I feel that giving away 1XSC will make mining unattractive since irs easier to just get it from the faucet and click it 7 times :)

The project sounds good to me. Hopefully the ICO and its bounty program will be successful thus, after.listed on an exchange it can have a lot of demands for the project to be fully successful and function. Well, let's wait and see.

Coin looks good and i will mine it when its available, however faucet is not good. To get coin we have to waste our time by filling google recaptcha and do free labor for google (google is training their AI with free labor which is us captcha solvers).

After much discussion with my team i have decided to delay our mainnet launch to 1 month from now 1 April 2019

We are still in the discussion to offer a fair coin economy for miners & faucet claims to ensure that there is balance between miners and non miners. With the launch delayed to 1 April 2019, we understand that this is a long time to support the network.

We need the extra time to properly promote this project and to obtain strong leads. In addition, due to this project receiving startup grants from the Singapore Government i would like to ensure that the launch is smooth and perfect on 1 April 2019.

I think, this is the right decision. it was not necessary now to start this activity, because the cryptomarket is in a rather unstable situation. yeah you wont. The official mining pool will only start on 1 April and will be reset at 00:00. However if you mine in the testnet, you will receive a small bonus when the mainnet goes live from the appreciation bounty pool

April 1, they will probably relaunch the Faucet on the mainnet but the rewards will be lowered from 1 to 0.30 per claim. But you can claim as many as you want NO time restriction.

Yes you are right, since block rewards will be reduced to 3XSC from 30 XSC , so it is only fair for us to reduce the faucet rewards otherwise the miners will not be too happy :P

So these questions should be asked to the pool support service and not to the project itself. And most importantly, if the problem is not solved then write on the forum to warn others.

You will not get anything because the mainnet launch is postpone until april 1st this year. so ask your pool what are they mining using your hash power.

The first pool is run by the obscure team, but im glad u found out what went wrong

Testnet has been nothing sort of a revelation though I feel for the "zombie" clicking syndrome without checking to see what "net" the blockchain was on - was so impressed by the tx speed, I probably sunk 3 straight hours into it before realizing  :'(.

Yes, Google recaptcha was easy thing to solve, i was averaging of 30 claim per minute and i was getting addicted to it with almost instant confirmation time.

The txspeeds will make this coin stand out. I am waiting for the Mainnet launch and rejoin the clicking team once again :D

We're trying to experiment and decide on the tokenomics of the projects example : block rewards, block time and the scalibility of 15 seconds block time. In addition we want to make sure that the premine strikes a good balance between being enough for the development team, and not too much that the community will be unhappy with.

In addition, we are writing our new whitepaper which includes a a game-changing protocol will which make us the first cryptonote coin to do so, and it's important for us to use this 1 month to ensure that the Obscure blockchain can scale.

We will be releasing a one pager soon and hopefully we can spread it to other platforms :)

I do have 0.35 of the wallet. I have had this a couple of times before when trying to log in to the wallet. tried different node and the one i was originally trying to connect to went from 0 fee to having a question mark. Don't know if its a glitch in the wallet or servers but i have found one i can connect to now.

to be honest, im not a pool node operator. So actually the official node keeps hanging :P i think its because im using a cheap vps. I will fix it every night, so dont worry. Anyawy this is just the testnet so your coins wont stay anyway

the trogangenerator is because of the OBscured and obscure-service which used p2p and port 12000. Port 12000 is known to flag antivirus systems.  Our repo is open so you can check if you want :P

Title says "MINING/FAUCET ONLY NO ICO"

Go to the discord and then realize they are doing a presale of 700k for 10 BTC. 70k for 1 BTC. 70k being the future masternode collateral.

Whitepaper says "There will be a small presale to raise 10 BTC for exchange fees and to fund external PR firms. Following that, there will be no ICO."

It's a NO ICO, well except for the ICO, masternode Pre-Sale coin.

That's a big ole red flag in my book. Staying away from this one.
