We have been seeing news about major industry players dabbling into blockchain technology since Bitcoin rose into popularity. Are they merely hyping the technology, or is it really worth all the media attention that it gets?

They like blockchain technology and also want to gain benefits through blockchain technology, because there are no industry players who want to miss this good opportunity, thus directly they really like blockchain technology.

There's no doubt blockchain will revolutionize the current systems around the globe. Though there are factors affecting its mainstream adoptation. One of them is the government yotal recognition. Maybe some governments are measuring the pros and cons of blockchain. There are security issues about blockchain technology.

Yes I believe that blockchain will empower the system of the future because all we know all people want a fast and more convenient transactions so in the future when the time that all company and merchant are going to accept bitcoin as a payment people will completely embrace that blockchain system and it will controll all the transactions all over the world.

I also think blockchain is the system of future, because first is the most secure system, and second is more easy to see when store something on blockchain and to sear h for it and is fast.

Maybe a lot of people use the blockchain because without an intermediary to transact and be safer to use because with a computer system that can now be progressively advanced..

Blockchain is a system in which a record of transactions made in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency are maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network. If we are going to move into the era of AR, AI, where Jobs and services will be delivered over a 5g and more fast Internet, then blockchain use will be a necessity.

I will tackle something that is not related into cryptocurrency.
We are all aware of the elections in every country (most).
cheating is a big problem in this world and most cheaters are corruptors.
then if blockchain will take place the election proper then i will tell that the most honest election will occur.
This is one of the reason i like blockchain, it is recorded and can't change by anyone!

I believe yes but it will be very long to be applicable. Tax issues, banks and governments have to make regulations and running tests are all difficult issues.

Blockchain never launch an advertisement though so the people who study and eventually started using it are the ones who gave good feedback and that's the time the attention of media circulate around it. If the technology is good enough then there's no need for a paid advertisement because the word of mouth is the most powerful form of free advertisement in any aspect in our world.

Blockchain is the future and well known companies are on it.

Blockchain technology is not bloated. There is a growing interest in investing in projects, most of which are nothing, this is done to earn money on hamsters.

Those platforms like what they are seeing, and what are they seeing? A technology which has grown tremendously despite all that was said about it.
They are after blockchain because they have seen what the future will look like and don't want to risk it for anything. The world is innovative, so if they don't get acquainted now, those who do will beat them out of business.
Blockchain is offering that which the world really needs; that is decentralization. So yes, with time blockchain will empower all systems of the world, just a matter of patience.

Yes I have no doubts about this and blockchain already make a development to many projects and the future I think it will be more useful

It has just started already. Every companies is looking for development for blockchain itself. They are trying to integrate blockchain and their system.

Blockchain is greatest techs ever. Yes, we should develop it but I am sure it will be dominant on the all sectors soon.

It could seem there’s just a handful of uses of the blockchain technology. But just what 90% of ICO projects makes it seem like. We’ve  seen a good number of project that has distinct use in the world right now. We have bitcoin, accepted by a good number of firms as a trustless means of payment. And then we have Ethereum accepted as a trustless means of agreement. I hope we get more mind blowing use of the blockchain tech. Not just the profit, it’s going to come later.

Of course, I believe in blockchain technology. The blockchain technology is currently used in many global companies. In the future, blockchain will change our whole life.

I believe there is quite big chance we will see blockchain integrated in alot of things . Ill give it like 60-70% that it will happen . Got alot of questions about personal data on blockchain , as it is public and there is GDPR ( General Data Protection Regulation ) . Not sure how it works , but im sure there is way around it already...

Yes of course i believe the capability of blockchain to empower of the future to make fast all transactions combining blockchain and digital currency, to make easier for all people helping by new technology.

In my opinion, for now it is 95% hype and only 5% is real value. Blockchain real value is still in idea,a lot things to do to achieve those dreams and it's never that easy. But, it's always worth to get media attention, let media knows this decentralize world from the development phase so people are always ready to migrate from centralize to decentralize one.

The process of empowerment through blockchain has started, so i am not in doubt if it will happen more.
We have seen the impact of blockchain in different continents of the world. Organizations, companies, governments now make use of this technology. Therefore, it can do more as it is being explored.

They are not just hyping the technology, I don't think they have any gain doing that when this companies on their own are billion dollar companies, I believe that they are realizing that crypto is the future of finance and any company that don't have a base in the crypto space in few years to come might not be relevant in this world anymore, this is why they are trying to create a crypto base for themselves because they are scared of going into extinction like how they drove some companies.

Same thought here even i am also thinking the solution for election system should come under blockchain system then no body will able to cheat . Blockchain solution not only crypto currency its beyond that  . Its Decentrelised database the data registered never changes also peer to peer network will create the computers across the globe will be super computer .

Cryptocurrency market is a place to raising funds and trade coin. But for blockchain, i am believe many industry trying blockchain technology because blockchain can save a lot cost and its very eficient

Blockchain has changed the world of casinos forever, they managed to make provably fair a thing and now that its a thing anyone who keeps playing on places that have no provably fair is risking their money and they know it. Which means just thanks to the system blockchain was developed for it changed a whole lot in one sector.

Banks are trying to understand how blockchain works and how they can build their own money system for transactions and make it cheaper and faster with blockchain as well which means it will be very soon when all banks use blockchain too. Yes, blockchain technology is revolutionary as it facilitates decentralization, which is important given the trust issues of market participants. The problem that organizations have is that they want the power to control, yet also lust after the potential profits of decentralized systems. You cannot have blockchain with centralized control and power, so it will be interesting to see how this technology plays out into the future.

Sooner or later the government and some companies will think that the transfarancy is really needed. And its factor that make me believe that blockchain is only one who will make it happens. I believe blockchain can give all people aware that with this system will make some problem gone easily and being a solution to help everyone realize that data manipulation is something that is not commendable. Based on my knowledge that is still low compared to other people, I see that the level of trust in the blockchain is not only limited to liking technology, but more than that. I think they really have thought for convenience in the future.

The truth is that everyone is just trying to grab their one piece before it's late, and that is it. They just want to make use of this opportunity and make more money. They release a cryptocurrency of their own and people will invest in it and they make money, they use every money gathered to run more bigger businesses and grow their companies. They launch clothing lines on crypto and people buy it and they make money. Restaurants makes use of cryptocurrency ,but uses services that helps them convert it to fiat quickly.

So leave all these people , let's wait till the future and see if there will be any purpose for the blockchain apart from all these BS they are acting right now. The only thing that has been proven for now is only transaction and nothing else. So for now anyone saying that blockchain can be used for any other thing is saying nonsense until they prove it.

I can tell you one thing about the usefulness of the blockchain technology for any company and many large corporations understand this and therefore even introduce this technology into their own turn and some even launch their own projects and create their tokens because they understand that crypto-currency has now gained good popularity.

Yes, it is true that nowadays governments are forced to rely on this new technology to facilitate their services,Due to the accuracy of the service provided by this technology,I personally have not seen a reason why governments are abandoning this lucrative industry in the future.

It got media attention because more people are starting to use it on a daily basis so if they hyping it up then it has something to offer that other technology can't. Blockchain doesn't pay for its advertisement though so why bother? it's free.

Blockchain Technology isn't hyped though, imagine storing a data into a transaction that can't be edited after being recorded. Not just the media but the state should be worth paying attention to this an innovation. As well China advanced technology, its extraordinary technologies began to adopt the blockchain in the government.
And recently they launched a coin of their country that was too in a hurry but became much of the attention of others. Would other countries follow suit? Clay alone there must be an interesting surprise in the future.

Could be. Many countries are resorting already to use also blockchain tech. Check out the encouragement of China to seize the opportunity for blockchain anf cryptocurrency. We all knew how China is good when it comes to business right? Imagine suggesting that cryptocurrency is a huge opportunity is already a hint that this business will bloom overtime so yes, it will empower system in the coming years.

it certainly deserves attention. blockchain technology like the internet when it was first introduced. many think it's not very useful, but in the end it becomes irreplaceable. and I think in the future everything will be decentralized, because the blockchain has changed everyone's mind.

I don't think that they are hyping the technology, I mean it could really change the landscape of every industry of today, lots of them, pharmaceuticals, logistics and supply chain, private and public industries are at awe at what can it can bring to the table. Everything that plays data every day and make decisions based on it will have to used blockchain technology to harness it's power. Even countries like China and the US, two countries who are at the forefront and fighting it out as to who will have more patents files based on blockchain.

If it is just a hyped technology I'm pretty sure that none of countries or company would take this blockchain system and intregate it into their ecosystem. This blockchain technology actually have so much benefits in different fields and not just cryptocurrency. TBH, Cryptocurrency is actually just a tip of an iceberg to what the blockchain system could do. I've seen article discussing about this in the past and blockchain could be used in the field of medical, remmitances, governance and many more. It's not just a hyped technology but it's a really beneficial technology. in my opinion, the big companies participating in the blockchain world are new breakthroughs for the surrounding community that their company will not remain silent. therefore Samsung's corporate class also participates in the world of crypto in order to provide the latest investment for those who want to get started as well.

Large Networks and corporate firms won't easily get into the usage or implementation of a new technology without proper research and study about the innovation. After finding it more efficient than the present technology, they'll move to the new platform. One example that shows how good technology, this was said by Peter Thiel. Mentioned if he has known about blockchain earlier he could've used it on PayPal.

With no single atom of doubt,  blockchain is the technology for the future.  It  will go a long way to revolutionize many systems thus empowering them. Many big industry players understand this already and they are working to see that they are among the early adopters of blockchain technology.  The only restrictions and obstacle Blockchain technology is facing right now is from the government,  once the government sees the wealth of opportunity that abounds in blockchain they will move for its adoption.and that will make blockchain go mainstream
