we all know that Bitcoin is the best crypto right now.
and many people argue that Bitcoin is the main crypto that greatly affects the crypto market.
my question is, if Bitcoin dies in your opinion, what will happen to crypto and what do you think can make Bitcoin die?

Here I will give a little opinion that if bitcoin dies then it will be replaced by another coin, because now its position is at level 1 in crypto, and what can make that bitcoin die is decreasing public trust in bitcoin which results in the loss of interest in bitcoin.

If bitcoin dies in my opinion? well if it dies in my opinion, nothing will happen to it in reality. What happens in my opinion stays in my opinion.

We are growing in technology and the glove need innovations that will vastly catch up with the movement. Bitcoin is placed for that and if it is no more, we are going to have a more so better tech replacing it. I hope this can go a long way to your question.

If bitcoin die, but this will never happen, will be replaced by another crypto but i think bitcoin and his blockchain will survive for long, and will be number 1.

I really hope that this does not happen.  But cryptocurrency is very unpredictable, but if it is still permissible then I think that cryptocurrency will not happen either if Bitcoin dies.

There is ethereum. There are a lot of coins like EOS, Cardano, NEO ... Now it looks unlikely, but the time will come, and some of these coins will have market share and profit. This will make these altcoins independent of bitcoin. That's when we find out what will happen.

It seems to me that it is almost impossible because Bitcoin is the Leader on which everything keeps and in fact everything depends on it.  There will be no Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

This same questions come to my head when I see questions like this. There is no way bitcoin will die. Blockchain technology (fine-tuned) exists because of bitcoin invention, that's a point you should note. Even the authorities enacting laws to restrict bitcoin in their jurisdictions, some still have a bulk, in case. There is no way bitcoin will die, so definitely there is no straight reply to this question. If bitcoin dies, crypto is dead, you don't need to ask a voodoo priest to tell you that.

if bitcoin dies in my opinion there is a possibility that some cryptocurrency will be very influential maybe some crypto prices will go back to basics, and a new cryptocurrency will emerge that will replace bitcoin but this could be bad news for cryptocurrency and could destroy thuis industry a bit because some investors and also holder is disappointed.

Cryptocurrency world will still continue even if bitcoin dies because even right now, aside from bitcoin there are thousands of other cryptocurrencies and still a lot more are coming out every time. What do you mean by die? Go back to triple digits like after Mt Gox? It will always have value as a collectible so going to double digits is out of the question.
It could get overtaken by another coin but it won't die.

First of all, I don't think bitcoin is ever going to die until a vulnerability is found which can never be fixed or something new came out that makes the current crypto currencies obsolete. If any of these two thing occur, bitcoin will die (though chance of them occurring is extremely low). Other alt coins will also follow the trend and will eventually wipe out of the market.

Bitcoin is the best in crypto and will not die easily, but if at one time bitcoin dies then there will be a new coin that will replace bitcoin.

Well it is the desire of only the banking community and some governments that want this to happen but im confident that btc will survive and thrive forward because being decentralized and open source i think it will continue to progress untill there are developers working on it and the community of supporters.

The answer is very simple, if bitcoin dies, there will be a domino effect and the crypto market sure will collapse. All altcoins are relying to bitcoin's dominance so it's no brainer on what will be the effect of it if something like this happens. But you don't have to worry about this because it won't happen as per today's situation.

my opinion if currently Bitcoin die, then I'm sure all cryptocurrency will die and of course I think cryptocurrency will be lost forever or maybe there will be a new digital currency to replace Bitcoin or cryptocurrency and in my opinion that can make Bitcoin die is :
1. There is no more investor confidence in Bitcoin
2. the government starts blocking transactions using Bitcoin (assuming Bitcoin transactions are illegal)

No one can predict everything but if bitcoin will die many people who using bitcoin will be lose everything they invest. And I think it will never be happen as long there's people who patronizing bitcoin it will not die.

I don't think it will die, but will it hold the top spot forever? no one knows for sure. But if it does, majority of the hashrate will go to BCH and the money will also follow.

In my opinion it is impossible for Bitcoin to "die", because its existence is virtual and therefore there is no way it can disappear from the extensive network that sustains it, although what could happen is that a series of circumstances that caused people's interest in mining, using or investing in it to decline. And in case this happen in the long term, I do not believe that there would be a greater impact on the crypto market, since there are already countless alternatives to fulfill its function, and its potential fall would be gradual and not sudden.

Well I really would not want to gave it a thought that Bitcoin will die because it can only reduce in value but with time it will definitely rise again, but in instances where bitcoin dies, then I think other cryptocurrencies will also fade away.

All the other currency is directly or indirectly depends on bitcoin, in case, bitcoin dies, no other cryptocurrency will be existed. If this discussion is valid for the current situation, most of the others will not be in the market when BTC is close to death. While the small changes in its price can cause big changes in others, its death means the others are already in morgue.

Two things I could think of. One is another coin replacing it--probably litecoin. And second one is the fall of cryptocurrency. The latter probably won't happen as people now are too attached to crypto.

And I doubt it that enough important people will see this thread that would make bitcoin die. So what happens in my and everyone's opinion here is pointless.. do I make sense?

I think if bitcoin die, the rest will die, why i can say this? so far, all the crypto and the likes are tradable pairs of BTC, all their transactions are greatly influenced with BTC, am sure if it would happen we would lost the trust and confidence in the crypto market, making everything put into rest.

Bitcoin has come too far to die just like that. If it will die, that should have been before it was valued or even be when it was created. Owing to its value now as well as what it offer in this space, it will last together with this crypto space.

I think it depends on how it dies, if it dies because some other crypto became better which I doubt will happen but if that happens then the market will not react that much, instead of bitcoin some other coin will be number one so its fine. Well, in my own opinion I don't think Bitcoin will die. From the onset bitcoin has already being given the power by making it anonymous. If you look at other coins that are coming up there are all attached to a name or company once they make any public statements it drives the price of the coin. If those influence stops the coin can die, but for bitcoin its already seen as a community coin and widely adopted

You say that Bitcoin is one of the best crypto today. Of course, as one of the best crypto, it's impossible to die. If bitcoin dies, of course other coins have already died. So there's no need to ask about other coins or crypto.

Cryptocurrency may still survive due to few (very few) established cryptocurrencies that are a bit ideologically and uphold some certain blockchain principles.  The principles are what could keep the crypto world from total destruction.

It's gaining worldwide support, the only thing that can stop it from existing is a world war and the end of the internet because cryptocurrency and internet are very much synonymous, you have an internet connection, you can transact anytime, if there is no internet anymore I guess that's the end of Bitcoin.

I think that Bitcoin is not going to die because here are no reasons for the death of Bitcoin and I really feel that it will go on for long because of the big rate of Bitcoin adoption which means that more and more people will use it to keep it alive.

Of course it's not true. it's just a prediction that can't happen. because I think Bitcoin is the mother of all assets that are in the crypto market. and I see it as the main exchange rate for all crypto assets. obviously he has very strong market support, and it cannot be easily dropped.

First Bitcoin technology cannot die no matter what, and if Bitcoin dies, then we will go back to our bondage, I mean financial bondage placed on us by government and also continue finding it difficult to make transactions easily amongst ourselves without delays and the interference of third party.

As I believe that Bitcoin will not die as it is an advanced technology and many large corporations invest in it and even if it is assumed that it dies, the cryptocurrency market will still function as a cryptocurrency is a whole ecosystem that works not on one asset but on all assets generally.

Imagine the "Great Depression", that same scenario will be happening once BTC crashes down to 0, but it will be in a much larger scale as opposed to the after mentioned historical event. The reason is because of the influence of the internet and considering that more that 50% of the market is being held by BTC once is crashes that will be more than $120 billion of investments that will be gone.  

The price of altcoin drops is only a minor problem when bitcoin dies, the bigger problem is the replacement of altcoin, we should understand the position of bitcoin in the market, it is too important, another altcoin that wants to replace and take responsibility as bitcoin will be very difficult. Even if other altcoin has the capacity to do that, the community is still very chaotic and cannot accept this event but maybe we won't be able to see this situation when bitcoin is still very strong, it still coming back as every scenario happened in the past.

Bitcoin falling to zero will be something close to impossible. Bitcoin might fall/raise but if we study Bitcoin for me I don't thing it can fall to zero.

first, we can see on economy side, lets say on this time BTC die suddenly, and it will make market cap loss 55% (based on this time), but what will happended after it ?
nothing, market still continue with another like ETH will be number one, also XRP will be the second.

BTC can not just go and cease to exist. There must be some prerequisites: a general ban (I doubt that this will affect somehow significantly), critical bugs in the wallet and the technology itself, the emergence of a new revolutionary coin/protocol. Bitcoin won't die. It could happen only if all technologies disappear. I saw some thread with information about how to mine bitcoin on paper, so bitcoin will survive.

Even exchange bitcoin with paper wallet still can be done with trust from both user who exchange it. This is why bitcoin itself wouldn't die even there are no internet at all. Maybe have less value can be happen.

Everyday there are different project coming with new ideas trying to make a difference in the crypto space, this project also needs the support of the community and as such would want to conduct a bounty to create awareness and support for their project, as long as we have new project in the market there will most likely be bounty, the amount may reduce overtime but it will still exist for quite some time except the forum says otherwise.

Well it is impossible for the bitcoin die because of so many ways of how we using it and also the platform of bitcoin was good. Actually bitcoin it was a number one coins in crypto so theirs no need of bitcoin going to die maybe it will grow so much in a future of it.

Firstly it's not possible atleast for now. But if someday that happens in your dreams then the first think that will happen is crash the market. The most of the coin cap is in the Bitcoin and it's almost more than half of total marketcap which holds cap. Now more people will go out of the market cause most trusted coin was Bitcoin and without Bitcoin people don't have any ideas what the thing is going on. The next thing after few days it will start to discover but usages of bloackchai. And crypto would be ten year back form now.

Bitcoin is what it is today because people adopted it or believe in it. Id doesn't take more than a month for people to ditch it if they loose the believe. Secondly, if most miners are forced to stop mining, there will be literally no one to confirm transactions, store or create new tokens... Thus stopping the whole network.... I don't think bitcoin will ever die. Because as we know it, this is the most top coin in the market that most investors are into it so it was really impossible that bitcoin will die. But on the other hands, ofcourse whent btc die I guess some of the best coin also take its place to be on top that will provide and bring good profit to many investors or traders like the dencoin tokens.

bitcoin have grown quite very large and in my opinion it will be hard  for bitcoin to die. It's network it's quite the largest now and will be difficult to go down just like that. And yes those that said that bitcoin is oneof the main cryptocurrency that can greatly affect the market

As exactly on what you say bitcoin is the best crypto right now. So it is really impossible that btc will die. But if ever it does, I guess some good crypto project takes its place like the eth and many more crypto project like the dencoin tokens wich is good ways of making good investment to many people in cryptomarket.

I think Bitcoin can only die if we experience some sort of an EMP that will take down all the electricity. Otherwise, Bitcoin will stay and becomes the new gold. I'd rather think that other cryptos might disappear and maybe only ETH and Ripple will stay

Many new coins are popping up and hard compete with bitcoin. Libra Coin created for example, if it is launched, the price may not be directly related to bitcoin because it is stable coin. But I'm sure bitcoin is almost impossible to die because bitcoin is the reason why crypto markets were created

I think bitcoin will not die because bitcoin is indeed a potential coin and provides benefits that can be felt since the advent of bitcoin itself. Nothing can make bitcoin die unless the crypto currency market is heavily hacked. But if someday bitcoin dies then another crypto currency will experience a falling market condition. A lot of coins will become garbage and the crypto currency market will start from zero again. If bitcoin dies then many crypto currency players suffer losses.

bitcoin is now the main benchmark of the crypto market, and it won't die. if you might later die, there is a lot of crypto that can be another alternative investment. and maybe USDT will become the benchmark for the crypto market afterwards.

We don't know if there's still a coin that will manage to survive when bitcoin dies eventually, as the market still relied with how bitcoin being supported so when this main base died everything will fall within it's range maybe some coins which is not really dependent with bitcoin will survived or maybe nothing will.

I think that if Bitcoin dies then all cryptocurrency market will die too. This can happen in two situations: 1) blockchain will be replaced by a new and more advanced technology, 2) global catastrophic event will fall all humanity in development to level of the Stone Age. No other options yet.

At this stage and with the recent developments and growth seen in the space, no doubt bitcoin is far from dying. In fact, bitcoin can never die. If bitcoin were to die right now the whole crypto sphere would die along with it. Nothing comes close to the technology/value/adoption/developer community that bitcoin has. 

That's one of the things that can't happen in this space, that is like saying everyone should remove attention from Bitcoin which of course is impossible.

If Bitcoin dies all other altcoins will follow because if bitcoin rise all other alts increase and on the other hand if bitcoin fall in price it also affects all other altcoins on the market. Bitcoin determined and control the market so without it BTC no other altcoins

I'm sure that none of the groups or the cryptocurrency user community will allow Bitcoin to fall, as some people are trying to say.  I am sure that this will not happen, because if Bitcoin falls, then the entire cryptocurrency market will fall.  Although it is possible to assume such inevitability, but only when Bitcoin withdrawal from the cryptocurrency market will occur gradually.

Just curious; what could kill bitcoin? The Government? Oh they tried in the past and they failed bitcoin is doing so well without China, Corporations?- well bitcoin is owned by nobody and by everybody. Hackers? well you will have to hack all the computers in the world, even a 51 % attack will not end bitcoin. Let's all enjoy bitcoin and think of how best to make it better rather than thinking it will die someday.

Bitcoin can't die per say. Do you think it's easy for a new technology especially one that won't be under control and highly beneficial to government authorities is easy to be adopted? No of course. Adoption of  Bitcoin and crypto at large is gradually coming, these things take time.

Most by far of my crypto-riches is in BTC, however I really don't anticipate that it will be dead in the long haul. That is not me pushing for BCH or ETH or some other specific coin.
