It is a fork of the Ravencoin code. We will mostly follow their development and patches unless they fork away from X16R.
We welcome ASICs if they ever get released.

I hope this will does not hurt the the miners needing to be paid.

This is a worst-case scenario as we do not want people to ask every week.
We would prefer to wait and be listed on a good exchange once we have a community,
Then to quickly list on the first available one.
We have a long-term view and are not in a hurry to make decisions.

Fork should happen at same bockchain. what kind of fork it is?

Why has the taona pool not paid out in 10 HRS? I was getting payments like ever 45 minutes and now it has been 10 hours is something broke. should I shut my miner down and not waste electricity?

Hmmm... the official pool pays out every 30 minutes.  How could anyone paying attention think it is every 45 minutes?

Ok I like the idea behind the project, I have been mining for a few days now. My PC is like 5 years  outdated so my only chance at pay dirt is to get in before everyone else so that is why I have been mining it. But my issue is there really isnt much planned for the project, You have yet to even have a total supply all we know about Taona at this time is that the block reward is 5000.  I really like Raven coin but right now this is just Raven with a new name. I would really like to see this project succeed so I am going to give my opinion.

Lets start with what we know about RVN coin.  The Total supply for RVN is 21,000,000,000. The block reward is 5000 and the block time is 1 min (60 sec) The same as Taona. The  halvings for RVN will take place every 2,100,000 blocks. Around every almost 4 years or 1,460 days. At this rate (and my basic math) the last of RVN will be mined around (?)

How I got my math  we know there is 1440 minutes in a day so 1440 blocks per day you multiply that by 5000 which equals IF I am correct 7,200,000 RVN a day. So we would multiply that by roughly 1,460 (days) which equals in the first 4 years before the first halving around 10,512,000,000. Leaving  10,488,000,000 coins remaining.

 BUT the reward splits in half at this point so now there is only 2,500 RVN per block. So now we do 2,500 times 1440 (blocks per day) so in  1 day AFTER the RVN Halving around 3,600,000 RVN  will be mined per day! Now we multiply that by 1460 (days till next halving) which equals  5,256,000,000 more RVN that was mined leaving 5,232,000,000 RVN REMAINING. At this point RVN has been being mined around 8 years Now the block rewards splits in half again!

So 2500÷2= 1,250 RVN per block.  So 1,250 ×1,440 (blocks per day) = 1,800,000 RVN per day ×'s 1460 (days till next halving) leaving 2,628,000,000 mined during that halving that halving so we subtract 2,628,000,000 from the last remaining 5,232,000,000 =  2,604,000,000 remaining YET to be mined.

 But the block reward splits in half again we are now 12 years into mining RVN coin! So 1,250÷2= 625 rvn being mined per block now! So 625 ×'s 1440 block per day = 900,000 RVN PER DAY ×'s 1460 days till next half. So ANOTHER 1,314,000,000 RVN get mined  we are 16 years in. So we subtract 1,314,000,000 from 2,604,000,000 = 1,290,000,000 RVN ramaining.

 Reward per block is now half of 625 which is 312.5 RVN per Block 312.5 ×'s 1440 blocks/day =450,000 mined a day so another 657,000,000 have been mined. Leaving 1,947,000,000 left. We are 20 years in  IT SPLITS AGAIN

 312.5÷2=156.25 per block  making 225,000 mined a day for another 1460 day so 1,947,000,000 -328,500,000=1,618,500,000 remaining 24 years in.

 Block reward halfs = 78.125 per block ×'s 1,440= 112,500 a day for 1,460 days = 164,250,000 subtract from 1,618,500,000 = 1,520,750,000  remains 28 years later

39.0625 per block 1440 blocks a day (56,250) =82,125,000 mined  leaving 1,438,625,000 remains 32 years later

19.53125 X's 1440= 28,125 a day X's 1460 days =41,062,500=1,397,562,500 remains 36 years later.

14,062.5 a day for 1460 days =
19.53125÷2= 9.765625 X's 1440= 20,531,250 mined, leaving 1,377,031,250 remaining 40 years later

9.765625÷2= 4.8828125 per block X's 1440= 7,031.25 rvn a day for 1460 days = 10,125,000 mined leaving 1,366,906,250 remaining 44 years later,

4.8828125÷2=2.44140625 per block X's 1440 a day =3,515.625 X's 1460 days =5,132,812.5 mined leaving 1,361,773,437.5  48 years later!

By now you get the idea so I won't go further, but that should give an idea as to how long it takes!


1,361,773,437.5 RVN Will have yet to be mined 48 years after the RVN launch!!!!

Well, you can talk as much as you want without evidence.
Taona has no primine, the commission to developers is 1%, the algorithm x16r has a good miner, this is a t-rex that can turn off video cards at max. temperature limit
I lost two months on finding good projects (coins) and they all had a huge primain when they studied, had POS mining as well as primaine, had huge commissions up to 70% to developers, projects like (Veil, Nimuq) are just a scam.
And people buy these coins and they bargain on the exchange.
So why this coin can not have a future?
If we assume Ravencoin is now 800satoshi, then Taona has the right to cost at least 1-10 part 80satoshi.
What is your evidence? Except for the cracking of air.

Will it take a year to get on the exchange?

It's all a crap shoot with any new coin.

 I think the developer called the latest date to enter a good exchange, which is necessary for this coin. at least something on the level livecoin, mercatox, exmo, yobitex, this is how I see the exchange for a large volume of sales and with adequate input and output.

Let's start with the basics:

What is this coin for? no way.
What real expansion projects do you have in the future? none.

They have not bothered to make a good presentation in the ANN here, it's just a FORK.

If a currency has no use, and no matter how much use you want to give it if it is not supported by large exchanges and serious projects that use it, your future is null. It is like the rest of the 99% of the coins, they are only speculative. You earn 1% without doing anything of mining, only with what others mine.


The exchanges that have added it, are not official and are purely scam like EMANET that puts false purchase orders to simulate volume.

Having other profitable currencies and with the price of the BTC going up, I am not going to spend mining time on something that I do not know what price it will have nor when I will be able to sell it. You can spend this sweet time of BTC and keep a lot of coins that I can not sell and I do not know when I can sell.

The announcement is not serious, the page is not serious, there is no project for future use, it is just a coin that can be mined and it is already, but right now it is a totally useless coin. As I said right now, a miner can not risk mining what he can not sell or know price, just now that the BTC is climbing. Just now that one can recover previous months, it would be crazy to mine a currency of this type with an uncertain future.

Sorry apart from use of this coin I fight back the conclusion that rocket-exchange is scam!!

Taonacoin is a fork.  I see no effort to present it as anything other than a fork.  One area that it is different is the way it launched (slow launch for first 4999 blocks) and the way the mining rewards decrease slowly over time as opposed to the disruptive sudden halving events.

You can always go to the Discord channel and try to arrange a private sale.  I am an escrow there and have a good history with RVN escrow before it was on an exchange.

I mined a few hundred thousand just for shits and giggles. The odds of this going anywhere are very low. Simply stating that you will follow the coin you forked from will not get you anywhere.

And in two years, rewards will be at 250 until we reach the total supply which is currently being voted on our discord.

You are welcome. Do not use thepool.life for mining Taonacoin. This pool is fraudulent.

There are 6 pools in miningpoolstats statistics and all of them are displayed in blocks, but there were blocks in solos, unknown. I mine at thepool.life their total share was 400mh I gave them 250mh
2.5gh total network hashrate As soon as I left them at taonacoin.com, unknown blocks disappeared - solo blocks.

Weve had unknown blocks since the coin lunched, it is a private pool that hops on and off Taona... nothing to do with thepool life.

I guess people are waiting for you or from the team to give updates from time to time. So they know that they are mining for something and not for nothing. Though you are not in a hurry in exchange listing, I think that would be better rather than list it in a substandard exchange and then be short-lived. But I hope you can post updates here if you have one so people are reminded that you are pretty much alive and just doing your work behind the scenes.

Check out what is happening in the Raven thread. Other than following Raven with the exception of a few changes I don't know what this coin is for right now.

You should also update this thread more often so people can find out about the progress of this project and can be considered by investors as well if indeed you will be serious about your project if this will be very difficult to develop

the current price is very very cheap. is mining of this coin a profitable one with the price of less than 1 sat? do you have plans for this year that may elevate the value of your coin to 1 sat at least? looking for your wp but to no avail.

The project basically follows the Raven whitepaper. As of right now the only difference is the change to the emissions schedule.
