Ok I like the idea behind the project, I have been mining for a few days now. My PC is like 5 years outdated so my only chance at pay dirt is to get in before everyone else so that is why I have been mining it. But my issue is there really isnt much planned for the project, You have yet to even have a total supply all we know about Taona at this time is that the block reward is 5000. I really like Raven coin but right now this is just Raven with a new name. I would really like to see this project succeed so I am going to give my opinion.
Lets start with what we know about RVN coin. The Total supply for RVN is 21,000,000,000. The block reward is 5000 and the block time is 1 min (60 sec) The same as Taona. The halvings for RVN will take place every 2,100,000 blocks. Around every almost 4 years or 1,460 days. At this rate (and my basic math) the last of RVN will be mined around (?)
How I got my math we know there is 1440 minutes in a day so 1440 blocks per day you multiply that by 5000 which equals IF I am correct 7,200,000 RVN a day. So we would multiply that by roughly 1,460 (days) which equals in the first 4 years before the first halving around 10,512,000,000. Leaving 10,488,000,000 coins remaining.
BUT the reward splits in half at this point so now there is only 2,500 RVN per block. So now we do 2,500 times 1440 (blocks per day) so in 1 day AFTER the RVN Halving around 3,600,000 RVN will be mined per day! Now we multiply that by 1460 (days till next halving) which equals 5,256,000,000 more RVN that was mined leaving 5,232,000,000 RVN REMAINING. At this point RVN has been being mined around 8 years Now the block rewards splits in half again!
So 2500÷2= 1,250 RVN per block. So 1,250 ×1,440 (blocks per day) = 1,800,000 RVN per day ×'s 1460 (days till next halving) leaving 2,628,000,000 mined during that halving that halving so we subtract 2,628,000,000 from the last remaining 5,232,000,000 = 2,604,000,000 remaining YET to be mined.
But the block reward splits in half again we are now 12 years into mining RVN coin! So 1,250÷2= 625 rvn being mined per block now! So 625 ×'s 1440 block per day = 900,000 RVN PER DAY ×'s 1460 days till next half. So ANOTHER 1,314,000,000 RVN get mined we are 16 years in. So we subtract 1,314,000,000 from 2,604,000,000 = 1,290,000,000 RVN ramaining.
Reward per block is now half of 625 which is 312.5 RVN per Block 312.5 ×'s 1440 blocks/day =450,000 mined a day so another 657,000,000 have been mined. Leaving 1,947,000,000 left. We are 20 years in IT SPLITS AGAIN
312.5÷2=156.25 per block making 225,000 mined a day for another 1460 day so 1,947,000,000 -328,500,000=1,618,500,000 remaining 24 years in.
Block reward halfs = 78.125 per block ×'s 1,440= 112,500 a day for 1,460 days = 164,250,000 subtract from 1,618,500,000 = 1,520,750,000 remains 28 years later
39.0625 per block 1440 blocks a day (56,250) =82,125,000 mined leaving 1,438,625,000 remains 32 years later
19.53125 X's 1440= 28,125 a day X's 1460 days =41,062,500=1,397,562,500 remains 36 years later.
14,062.5 a day for 1460 days =
19.53125÷2= 9.765625 X's 1440= 20,531,250 mined, leaving 1,377,031,250 remaining 40 years later
9.765625÷2= 4.8828125 per block X's 1440= 7,031.25 rvn a day for 1460 days = 10,125,000 mined leaving 1,366,906,250 remaining 44 years later,
4.8828125÷2=2.44140625 per block X's 1440 a day =3,515.625 X's 1460 days =5,132,812.5 mined leaving 1,361,773,437.5 48 years later!
By now you get the idea so I won't go further, but that should give an idea as to how long it takes!
1,361,773,437.5 RVN Will have yet to be mined 48 years after the RVN launch!!!!
