Title: How do you use crypto?
Post by: HyperionXtech on September 03, 2019, 02:32:10 PM
Crypto has been around for over a decade at this point. The secure digital currency has many perks, but it seems that it is still not being utilized to its fullest potential.

Some purchase crypto for long term investment, while others have become daily traders. Both of these methods are uses for the digital currency, but they are not the sole purpose.

Many cryptocurrencies have been developed to solve a problem. For instance, Bitcoin solved the double-spending problem, while Ethereum was created to assists developers build blockchain applications.

Both of these examples would be considered the prime use case of the currency, but it seems that many are only interested in the gain rather than the use.

It is difficult to predict if the true value of blockchain technology will be relevant in the future and expand beyond trading.

What are your thoughts, and how do you use crypto?

Basically I use crypto to make profit through trading, because I don't have a lot of capital, so every day I try to look for free coins, and then bring it into the market for me to trade, that's all I do.

Well I used crypto for long term investment, its an astonishing kind of investment because it reduces the possibility of losing money and since the price are unstable you can easily grab some opportunities to buy and invest.

In my own purposes ive been use cryptocurrency for trading and hodling! Im also investing in numerous ICO's already, have been scam many times and when i invest in the crypto projects usually i consider what problems or any particular sector would benefit the project that can drive the token/coin demand in the near future. for instances im also after with profit and not interested in its use case or usability because thats my only sole purpose when i invest my money that was my honest opinion nothing more nothing less!

yes for now maybe I still use crypto as a way of investment and trade and the purpose is certainly to make a profit. but these past few days I've been thinking about what if the crypto we use or the token we use as a means of payment in the real world. because I see that so far most crypto is only used in cyberspace, and continues to grow and spin there. I took the initiative to make a power plant where we use tokens on crypto for payment. of course the token will sell well and maybe it will defeat the position of ETH or BTC in the crypto market. because the tokens that we make can be useful not only in cyberspace but also useful in the real world.

for the development of the blockchain at this time it is still not too visible in my opinion and also many startups who struggle in this field, many of them fail. the failure factor is beyond my understanding. maybe they have no intention of building the project or because of other factors, I use crypto at this time only to focus on using it as an investment, trading, and I use it as an alternative currency because sometimes I buy several products with some altcoins.

I prefer to stay in cryptocurrencies instead of taking profits or buying useless stuffs with cryptocurrencies. Because I believe that one day I will be able to buy more things than today.

These are some good points from the community, thank you everyone for sharing!

There is still a long way to go before crypto is a mainstream commodity that is utilized by the masses. While some vendors in the real-world accept crypto (especially in major cities like New York) many do not see the current value in the currency. Additional use cases and the simplification of making transactions will stimulate the people to use crypto on a daily basis, increasing both popularity and demand.

Investments are a practical way to support crypto and the projects that are developing applications for them, but to prove the potential of blockchain the community must begin to show the majority that it is worth their time to understand and invest in the technology.

Many Altcoins are developed for a specific purpose and should be applied accordingly. The more a token is applied in its practical manner the more the public will see its true purpose and can follow suit.

The future looks bright for crypto and as time progresses more and more applications will be developed that proves its value in the world.

I really do agree on your points here. However, specially in the case of Bitcoin, it has become a speculative asset and as such it is being used to trade=buy/sell to make money similar to a stocks. Also there is this thing could HODL school of thoughts. The belief that through stashing more coins and just do nothing but let it sit in your wallet you will profit in the end. As for your questions, I do used my crypto as much as I can but also I have some save in my wallet. So I guess it really boils down to individual liking or desire. And you can't really blame them, because this is open and free market.

Your post revolves around the mass adoption of crypto so you need to know that the success of crypto has already been established and that is confirmed by the value it has today and also the long standing history now lets come to the adoption part here i would just say that adoption is a complex matter and there are dozens of factors that effect it and also this is something that can not happen overnight, mostly the signals are positive and adoption is also coming slowly but surely and im very confident that crypto is going to replace traditional financial system and it is going to dominate as a digital financial global economy in next few years.

It's better to use, crypto to inverse your money. In a long and short run,you can earn from it.Even you can use crypto as an asset to hold your earning and hold it for your future. If the price is boom, you can sell and buy a brand new Car with that profit alone. Holding is essential one to gain profit from it.

Cryptocurrencies can be used in different ways.
I prefer to trade coins in the cryptocurrency market.
Participation in bounty campaigns also brings me coins that I sell over time when they grow in value.

first of all you should also note that but for trading, cryptos would've been dead by now. So that's why if your token has a bad price on the market, it means your project is dead. Anyways as time goes on we may get users of cryptos and boost adoption and usecase in a whole new paradigm.

Cryptocurrencies are best used for their intended purpose.
Namely, I work to ensure that they make a profit.
Of course, trading in my opinion can very much lead to success in the cryptocurrency market.
But for this you need good knowledge and confidence in the coins you are trading.

I use cryptocurrencies primarily to make money participating in trading and investing. As for me, this is the best use of cryptocurrencies. I also participate in bounty campaigns, where I manage to earn some extra money. The crypto market is good because there are many opportunities for making money and people can do what they like.

My goal is to have this digital asset because it wants to benefit. So I use crypto to invest and trade. But this crypto can be developed to be used as a payment media, as it happens in Japan. Perhaps if around the world such as Japan that has set up Bitcoin, it may be a quick development of Bitcoin.

I would also like to use this crypto as an online shopping payment tool. But in my country is not allowed.

So far, the blockchain has provided so many benefits that many have been adopted in various fields to improve performance. Cryptocurrency is also like that, times are changing, technology is getting more advanced, so investment has also experienced changes. Smart people will definitely see this as an opportunity, even though it's risky, aren't all investments risky? If you do not dare to take the risk then we will not get anything. I use crypto as a trading commodity, I have never used it for any transaction because it's restricted.

Ever since I gave been in the crypto space, exploring it, investing in it, participating in different bounty and the likes have almost been my routine usage of cryptocurrency. Although, I have seen coins that have been put into real life usage and what I do after seeing such projects is to invest in them and wait for them to grow to an appreciable rate before selling. Which means I may not really use the product, but I will support it by investing in it.

I've used it for almost the same use, trading, investment and the sole purpose of it being a currency in itself. It's a good feeling when I'm able to purchase goods and pay it mostly with bitcoin. I prefer them to pay altcoins so that I can save more bitcoin but most of them prefer bitcoin as it's what most of the payment processors accepted cryptocurrency.

My take on this is you are right that crypto's haven't reached the full potential of it and there's more way to go for its use case.

Personally speaking, l use crypto for investment maybe for a long time or short time. It depends on the event of the market. l can do a lot of, as everybody there is one big problem, it is capital. Without capital, you can not do a lot of things. Maybe free tokens or you must research cheap altcoins. You can be called me Hodler, l don't think that l can be a trader.

Strongly agree with this statement, because this is what I use to manage my coins and tokens. So far, having lots of new coins from ICO is indeed reasonable, especially coins which are certainly good potential for long-term investment (although not all of them guarantee). But, if the coin is a real use case, then the belief that the price of the coin will increase over time does indeed exist. And this is what I believe and use so far.

And some coins that have a large number of trading volumes are an option for daily trading, some of them are already in the top 100 Coin Market Cap. Therefore, in this case, dividing coins into daily trading and long-term holding become one of the strategies undertaken to deal with this crypto world.

I use some services that I pay with cryptos and as I said, it's better to pay in cryptos than credit cards, it's even safer because the another person will only know your crypto adress, nothing more

Used it usually in gambling and trading. Yeah, but majority of my bitcoin was for a long term hold. I just get small part for trading and gambling. However, for bitcoin's use as a payment, i haven't tried it yet since i was kinda hesitant to spent it with high fees, etc. We can also see how bitcoin's use like blockchain technology will gonna reach it's full potential when the time comes. As for now, I am still happy to use it as my digital assets.

That's is perfect mate nothing doubt altcoins are very useful for day to day trading job to get an earnings, but we know trading is risky and possible also to lost our money if they trade laxk of skills and knowledge.
From the beginning I use altcoins as investment for long term holds until I get skills and knowledge how to make profits to trading as traders and that idea is worth it. And ofcourse aside from day trading I use crypto specially bitcoin as mode of payment via online shopping or pay bills.

I use cryptocurrency based on the concept behind the coin I hold. For health related coins like MTC, I use for accessing the basic medical health attention using the doc MTC app. With staking coins, I stake them for profits based in the rules. Other cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH are used for my shopping online. This is more convenient as compared to the other forms of digital currencies.

I don't think that we have getting to that level when we would be using bitcoin as a mode of payment for goods and services because of volatility! I am currently holding for profits. The best thing on cryptocurrency that I used the most is that you can transfer money easily even the both parties are in the long distance and its fast and cheaper than any other ways you can think of.

I know trading isnt the purpose of this but we got to admit that it is a good way to earn profit even you are just working at home.

Cryptocurrency money transfers are quite convenient. But Bitcoin is not easy to use, a long transfer time and a large commission. Here I like Altcoins more.

Purposeful participation within the coin's ecosystem, that's great to hear! The concept of using crypto as intended will stimulate the use of the coin, increasing demand. Circulation within its proper environment also proves the use case and strengthens the community, building a grassroots movement around the product. This, along with the development of atomic swaps, will ultimately facilitate the multi-token crypto economy that so many look forward to in the future.

Gambling and trading are my everyday activities with crypto. I bought few things with crypto, but I live in third world country so everything I wish to buy is more expensive cause of the transport fees.
I think I will never stop with gambling and trading, I discover something new every month, now I'm on from network and it's great to gamble with trons, getting dividends and trading on their dapps.

I use clear cryptocurrency for trade and confidential transactions, and for other uses, it may depend on whether the country supports it or not and the environment also affects. In addition to trading and transactions, I also use crypto as a place to store assets because in crypto I am more efficient even though the price is fluctuating, it doesn't matter because I make money through crypto and not private funds from real-world jobs.

With recent innovations, cryptocurrencies have generally made it much easier to place bets on sporting events as well as real life outcomes. Also the use of crypto assets for online ecommerce services has been an area that has received a lot of attention and has been integrated to every day living. This and several other use cases have made the crypto technology not only successful but welcoming.

The most common occupation in the crypto market is trading on exchanges. Earlier, a lot of money was earned on this, but after the arrival of many experienced traders from stock market, trading income declined greatly.
It is also beneficial to engage in the mining of promising new coins, you can earn very well on this.

Crypto does have many uses, in addition to generating profits. However, I do everyday use only this crypto to trade. And following the Airdrop and Bounty campaigns, the results I've sold in Bursa, so make money.

The development of crypto in everyday life is actually able to pay media. However, where I stay there is no big store or small shop that provides payment tools using crypto.

Basically I use crypto to make profit through trading, because I don't have a lot of capital, so every day I try to look for free coins, and then bring it into the market for me to trade, that's all I do.
That means you are a bounty hunter, but yes we do admit that this crypto is good for us to make money even though we don't have much capital. But for me personally for now I only use cryptocurrency for long-term investment, with the adoption that continues to occur at least it makes me more confident if crypto still has the potential to continue to grow even better in the future.
like me, where to win a few coins for the long term. besides that it hopes that many countries will legalize it, of course it makes crypto users increase and increase the price. Moreover, several large companies have begun to adopt it, and this will certainly accelerate adoption throughout the world.
my hope is that we can freely spend crypto to meet our daily needs later

Hey OP, you are absolutely right many of us are still here for the gain that we will get from the technologies and that is why we concentrated more on the use of it for asset purpose and not for utility purpose, meanwhile, the use of it as utility is why the crypto itself was created.

We need to get to that stage where the whole crypto users will not only be accumulating the coin and storing it but also accumulating it to spend it on different transaction, because that is how there can always be demand for the coins and then we can  know the true value of the coin. Like Ethereum now, people actually use it more than other coins, and because they don’t only accumulate it, the value becomes kind of stable and the true value of Ethereum is exactly what we are seeing right now.

Of course the value of crypto is gradually being revealed although not fast as it's meant to but in the near future its potential will be fully harnessed.
Going back to your question, every participant or user in this space has a reason for being here, where one person can be only for trading another can be buying and holding while another person too can do both.
However in my own case, I do all; that is, I trade from which the profit I use to buy either BTC (no matter how small) or other altcoins which I hold. Also, I participate in IEOs where I take my profit to buy more coins or hold the token bought from IEO if I trust the project too well.
Furthermore, there are certain services which I might want to pay for and if there is option to pay with cryptocurrencies I always go for it.

You can buy cryptocurrency or, in some cases, get it through a process called “mining.” Cryptocurrency is stored in a digital wallet, either online, on your device.
Mostly being used by people for profit making, it's either they use it for trading or its been stored in the particular cryptocurrency wallet for future use or resale.

At my place there is no trading facility that accepts Bitcoin as a means of payment, therefore even though I have long known and owned Bitcoin, I have not been able to use it. Therefore I only use Bitcoin to trade on the Crypto market to get profit. And to use it, I must exchange with the fiat first. Suppose there are already shops or other services that accept Bitcoin, I would definitely pay directly with the Bitcoin that I have.

There are still many countries that have not yet issued regulations regarding cryptocurrency as a means of payment, and there are even some countries that prohibit transactions using cryptocurrency. The use of cryptocurrency is still limited in some places because the adoption process takes time and I don't think it will be too long before we will be able to use cryptocurrency as a means of payment after crypto is increasingly popular

However, all countries recognize that blockchain technology is very good, their concern is that the price is fluctuating and very fast-changing, so until now we see a new altcoin that creates new products that aim to facilitate payments using crypto, for example, e-commerce platforms, I currently use Altcoin or BTC to buy new Altcoins that are running IEO

So far, I use crypto as my asset (I prefer to call like that). I don't use crypto to buy something on the internet, and if I want to buy something, I always convert my coins into fiat money and send it to my banks then I will use a debit card or pay with cash. Nowadays, the use of the cryptocurrency is not too many in each country because some country still not allow crypto to be used as a payment system. Depending on the service provision of the particular cryptocurrency, I choose to use my cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency like the Bitrue token BTR is used for my gas fees to enjoy 40% discount on the Bitrue exchange. The same token is used to join the PowerPiggy to earn 15% annual interest. Other coins like BTC and ETH are used for my online purchases.

I can only convert crypto to fiat currency, because I never used it to shop online. I suggest not saving your money in a bank and hoping to get interest. it would be better if you invest again into other investments, such as property, so that your funds will not be stopped, and have a smaller risk
Oh, is that so? Thanks for that advice mate. At least I had another option on what should I do with my earned crypto. I haven't decided yet on where to invest, though. I think I am going to have some research first on where should I put my money because this saying is my guide in investing:

I have only been making use of cryptocurrency for just two purposes and nothing else. The two purposes I use cryptocurrencies is for transactions and for investments. It has been really helpful from the start, and how I came to know about it and started making use of it is through searching for means of transactions.

It is a means for transactions in the work I do, I am able to receive and send money among my colleagues and it has been really helpful. Then as for investment , cryptocurrencies has been another means of income for me and I have been able to earn a lot of side income by just investing money in cryptocurrency. 2017 has been a year that I will never forget ,that's the biggest year for me and the kind of profit i made from cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin ,is more than what I have ever made from any other type of investment.

I will be happy to see another year like that and the way I see it next year is likely to be like that or maybe not. Even if doesn't come in the next ten years I won't really bother much because I have already made a lot from it.

If you do not have enough ideas to use the blockchain, you can go to the bounty section. There are a lot of good ideas and absolutely absurd. At the moment, the blockchain has developed very well in order to apply it to charity. I have seen many such projects but none of them reached their final.

Blockchain implements itself very well in the election system. Just imagine that no one will be able to influence the election of the President of the state. The whole process will be absolutely transparent and understandable to all people. But this can be achieved only in the most democratic country. Alas...But at the moment there are no such countries. We have not yet lived up to the active introduction of blockchain into public life.

Cryptocurrency is too young in the financial market, but it's more and more actively accepted by the community. And proof of this is the acceptance of bitcoin operations by many banks. For me, cryptocurrency is the opportunity to accumulate assets and gain financial independence and income in the conditions of economic instability.

Applications for blockchain can be found a lot. For example, I think that people will no longer need notaries. Why do you need notaries if you can use a smart contract? I think that makes perfect sense. There are many specialties that in the near future may disappear and people do not have to spend money on it.

This is a great example and something we are currently working on. The idea is that the constant development in the blockchain community will create new and exciting ways to implement the tech. The same way that the steam engine revolutionized transportation, blockchain will revolution business.

I think that over time cryptocurrency will be used everywhere, need to wait for a little. I use cryptocurrency only for speculative purposes.

We are already enjoying the benefits of blockchain but however not on a wider scale as mass adoption is yet to occur. The truth is, Blockchain led by Bitcoin has opened the eyes of many people to various opportunities although some tends to misuse it, but I know in there near future when the world have fully understood what Blockchain is really out to solve they will give it the neccessary attention.
Furthermore, in my own way, I do transactions with friends and pay in Bitcoin or Ethereum; I could remember paying for a certain service online via coinbase with BTC instead of credit cards.

I think I used it for the arbitraging platform once and I also used it for kelta mining. Cryptocurrency has not yet gone beyond what it is and where it is for now. Until there us adoption, before we can be confident of what we desire and wished could happen. If crypto can be used like the normal physical money is being used, then it means that the full purpose of establishing crypto has been fulfilled.

In my case, I am using crypto in paying my workers daily especially Ethereum as the transaction fee is ok unlike bitcoin that if you are going to send a small amount the transaction fee is bigger than what you are sending.

Aside from that, I have invested few of my money also for a long term purposes and hoping to receive a good profit in the end. I am also using it to pay my utility bills, so in my case I have plenty of usage for it and I am hoping that someday crypto currencty will be legalize in our country for the benefits to all the crypto users.

Clearly, cryptocurrency has shown that technological development provides many benefits in an efficient manner. Many new opportunities to be utilized, depending on the passion of each. I am more interested in using cryptocurrency as commodity trading, day trading. Fluctuating market movements give me the challenge to try an analysis skeleton, both technical and fundamental. I also join the bounty to earn money from the support and work I do. So far, this is very profitable.

Maybe if the government will fully legalized the use of bitcoin, then we can use bitcoin fully as a payment system and use it to purchase goods and services. But for now, i believe majority of us here are using bitcoin as good investment.

I only convert my crypto to fiat, btc to be exact, whenever I badly needed cash and I don't have any other option to get my fiat. And after conversion, I usually spend it to my daily needs like food, transpo and sometimes my monthly bill. Though I am not paying using my btc directly to shops but I am converting my btc to fiat first for easier transaction to merchants. But other than that, I want to keep my btc for long-term investment.

The purpose should be a payment instrument but what we have to do if nobody accept crypto in our place, that it sounds useless in our case. That's the reason why people think of it as an investment placing it later to be consider as currency when the moment come.

We are lucky in our country that some establishment accept crypto for payment, but there is still a problem cause they only accept mostly in Bitcoin and ETH. Still there is need so much time for crypto development and meant to be that all been consider as currency in the future.

What are your thoughts, and how do you use crypto?

My thoughts? We don't have a choice. Whatever services that allows cryptocurrency as an alternative payment is/are all what we to today. There's nothing we can do unless someone takes an initiative in building a sole proprietorship business that would sell any kinds of goods and would allow a specific crypto coin as a payment method. That could be a step for it to reach its sole purpose that you're trying to find, OP.

I use crypto mainly for profits through investment, and buying Steam credits whenever I have new games in mind. I can say that I am utilizing it as from its purpose, but at the same time I can benefit/earn from it.

Good point. This is currently something we are investing our time in, supporting businesses and entrepreneurs through a consensus-driven blockchain environment (or smart market).

As the public interest in blockchain/crypto increases, there will be a large number of entities that will look to develop around the space. Offering a secure user-friendly platform for businesses to provide goods and services will enable them to do business on their own terms. Thus, creating an environment for businesses to flourish!

It's true that most people in crypto space are interested in price and not use cases. I was amazed to pay for a T-shirt with BTC at an online store, and also paid for vpn service with TRX. I've once used DENT to top up my mobile subscription, although now it is costly since the coin dipped badly in price. If we focus more on use cases, price should go up naturally and not otherwise. Another issue crypto is facing is that, there are a lot of shortcomings with real world use.

The purpose of using crypto, I think, on average, is used for investment, both short-term and long-term investments, basically to get a positive return. many crypto are now used as a place to gain negative benefits, thereby affecting the value of crypto. Everything can happen in the crypto world, basically it's wise to use crypto.

To be honest, at the moment I use the crypt only as an opportunity for additional earnings, trading various coins on the exchanges, I'm interested and like it.You could call it a hobby.Still keep some coins, in the hope, that the price on them will rise in the future.
Just like most of the people here, they are using crypto for trading because they wanted to grow their holdings.

Me, I work online to increase my earning in crypto and I always plan to consider my earning as my investment for the future, also at the same time when I have some extra, I also use that money for gambling, not only that I do earn, I also need to spend just to have fun while spending an effort to earn online.

I can say that there are a lot of opportunity online that you don't need to risk your money to own BTC or altcoins, you just have to work for it.

But after I realize the importance of blockchain technology, crypto and its uses I also use my holdings as currency. However for now I chose to hold because of the market condition.

Mostly I use cryptocurrencies to create income, namely it’s the same trading and also participation in bounty companies to get profit without investing, I also very often use cryptocurrency technologies for my various goals, of which several goals have already been achieved due to various cryptocurrencies and their technologies, I also already managed to gain experience in buying some goods through online stores using cryptocurrencies and I hope in future everywhere I will can use my cryptocurrency.

I use cryptocurrencies for earning money is the fact. I can not deny it. For that purpose I join some bounties and try hard to follow it. Until this time I still join bounties. I still doubt to do invest. Other purpose crypto is shopping. We can use it by online shops. Maybe everything Will change because crypto Will affect every part of the world.

In my case, I have to use cryptocurrency as a repository of my personal assets. I prefer to keep part of my funds in hard currency in the form of the dollar, and the other part in cryptocurrency.
Perhaps this can be called a long-term investment. I do not like to use banks, or exchanges, as a storage of my assets, but in the case of dollars the choice is not great.

Still I use bitcoin in a long term plan just t stay in the word of investment.

a long term that takes 2 to 3 years ia a must which actually depends to you and the value market. trading may  ba goo but I dont try trading you nned  24 hrs just to be updated and alll.

This is a great response, thinking outside of the box when developing blockchain technologies will generate greater mass appeal and essentially increase the adoption rate of crypto. We have been developing alternative ways to utilize blockchain, and in turn crypto. One of the first features on our platform that will be open to the public is a Marketplace for digital goods and services. You can learn more by visiting https://peerion.io (https://peerion.io) or you can register to be a vendor at https://www.hyperionx.org/partner (https://www.hyperionx.org/partner).

Who else is developing a project in the blockchain space?

In my opinion too, overall the existence of Blockhain technology provides many benefits for us, especially in this modern era, easily anyone can become an investor of course as an additional job because Crypto provides great opportunities. In the future, we must use it according to the times and the globalization of the country's economy and daily life well.

I haven't tried using bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency to  buy goods overseas. I often use them in buying cellphone load in urgent needs and sometimes, I just convert a small amount to fiat to buy daily necessities.

I have read a thread on our local board that some online stores like Shopee, and a travel app named Traveloka are now accepting cryptos. I'm willing to try those too but right now, I'm still on the earning stage of crypto. Maybe if I have earned enough, then I could buy things online with cryptos, as well.

Actually, aside from using to make some profit I just simply use it to buy some product in online and even to pay some bills. We have wallet that called Coins.ph where we are free to use it to buy some game credit in steem and other online games platform.

Of course we will hold and wait for the right time to trade.
We buy and hold to earn. we use to buy another cryptocurrency or participate in an ICO or IEO.
But if we have a wallet like in my country "COINS.PH" we can use them to pay bills, to send money to friend and relatives.

Although supposedly crypto was my long term investment, i've been using it recently as my emergency fund. I really do hope the world start to realize the value and efficiencies crypto has to offer but for now i'm quite bearish on the outlook because of all this Craig "ahole satoshi" Wright nonsense (if one person can manipulate the price of bitcoin so much then we're screwed until that person runs out of bitcoin to manipulate with).

So for now, i cash out some bitcoin whenever i find a more interesting investment opportunity.

My major pupose of using crypto is for long-term wealth acquistion. I engage in bounty campaigns and other online jobs to earn token then exchange them for bitcoin which I do not sell in the hopes that in the next two to three years, my holdings will be worth a lot.

Yeah that's true some people use crypto to hold for long term and some use it as long term investment i am happy that crypto is now having another use which is to use it for buying things. Crypto is the most famous way to invest your money but I have started now to use it for purchasing things yet time is for long term holding.

In some countries, it is difficult to use crypto as a means of payment. Due to the absence of clear regulations, at the moment I am still using crypto as an investment and speculation tool because the price movements are quite volatile

A lot of people here in crypto claim that they can take advantage of it, they don't care about the product or the use of a utility token. That's why most people do what most people do day trading because they want to make a daily profit and others hold it in the long run because they believe it will bring them huge benefits like Bitcoin, Eth, and EOS just one of the good examples I hold of long term. And this is what I did being a day trader.

I use cryptocurrency in order to gain some income, in the world of cryptocurrency you can start on bounty hunting and trading. In bounty hunting you can earn tokens and coins just by participating in any bounty campaign as supporting their projects, and in trading you can trade in order to gain more income but this is the risky part in the cryptocurrency the world of trading because you need to risk your money in order to gain more.
It sounds very simple, meaning that as a prize hunter is asked to follow the project's instructions and rules that are supported and in the end, if the project will be successful then the hunter will be paid in coins or tokens. But sometimes not all participating projects can be exchanged fiat and can even become trash that adorns the participant's wallet.
In my opinion, between traders and bounty hunters there will be risks of each and obviously having a different level.

They used to, right. But today both work better, as there are some advanced and automated platforms, like Hodium. Basically, Hodium is the most advanced one. The platform provides secure access and diversified exposure to the digital currency asset classes by connecting decision makers to a dynamic network of data, people and capital. And what I also like here - pretty high profits (up to1,5% a day) and opportunities for everyone - both beginners and advanced traders. This is the common thinking of a man, as it is getting to be more expensive everyone wish to buy an a lower price and sell for a bigger price. There is more advantages with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but very few understand good about it. My preference of bitcoin was earning, and I cash out for my needs as there is very small number of stores accepting bitcoin. Apart from this I prefer for gambling and small scale trading practice.

In Holding, you can earn more than mining and investing. After the trade, you need to hold. The profit percentage is increased based on your holding time period. You need to use the good trading platform, then only you can do trading in efficient manner. You should need the platform with minimum trading fee for the deposits and withdrew.

For me, cryptocurrency is a means of accumulation, additional income and financial independence. In this way, I protect myself from economical instability in my country. And I'm also very passionate of cryptography, I believe that blockchain technology and payments in the  cryptocurrency will firmly enter our daily lives in the future.

The mentioned options are outdated, unfortunately.l use crypto to get income as other people and l do it through trading. Yes indeed right now it is very difficult, that is why the market conditions are not the same such as in 2017. l must also mention bounty campaigns, they are also helping me to get some amount if l have some big capital, l try to invest, however in my view capital is the biggest problem that everyone has.

At present crypto is only used to get profit from price differences when trading. But there are some crypto projects that are used for real purposes such as for agriculture, for website domain payments and for waste recycling systems and much more. All just need more support from various parties so they can develop again. Cryptocurrency will be very useful in the future with the advanced blockchain technology ecosystem.

He owns nothing in that, just the Neogas to make the characters in his game move or play or train. Funny guy, he likes the gaming aspect not the crypto;)

Basically I use crypto to make profit through trading, because I don't have a lot of capital, so every day I try to look for free coins, and then bring it into the market for me to trade, that's all I do.
Most of the people who have cryptocurrency usually use it as an investment or they use it in trading. In fact, trading is one of the best source of money in the field of cryptocurrencies and I have been also use it in trading but sometimes I lose some of my funds. I also use my bitcoin in some online businesses especially in purchasing stuff.

I use crypto for investing. I hade many chances to use crypto for buying something or ordering something from internet etc. but I never touched my crypto.
Also, when I make online job as freelancer, I always ask my payment as crypto. BTC, BNB, ETH etc.

I believe the ecosystem. I believe crypto is the future. So, I am trying to increase the amount of my investment at crypto every day.
I do not want to be a guy who bought a coffee with 0.1 BNB and then hit my head to the wall.

Use cryptocurrency only for trading or investing and no more, Never use crypto become transaction payment because many country still not allowing bitcoin become legal transaction.
we can use bitcoin as payment because it is reliable and also many countries allow their people to use it in this regard, I don’t find any problem using crypto to buy goods as market allows and it saves time and gives safety, we can use it as an investment as well but much better to use bitcoin for buying all those things which are availed in market.
Not all countries are favor using crypto, but even-so  the industry is keeps on growing. From time  to time we  see adoptions taking place, it's no longer  hard to find available items or services online who accepts crypto/bitcoin payment transactions. Using bitcoin not only for investment purpose but also using it according to the real purpose of its creation. In coming years, this innovative additions around financial system will take place and be recognized. After that, this system will be adopted and be able from each side of the world.

My preference when it comes to using Crypto is to have it into a secure way of investing, as I know that there is massive risk involved if I am not careful with my way or approach. So this is where I am so much in favour of this epic thing Crypto Index Fund (https://www.crypto-index.nl). A revolutionary creation that really gives us the balancing when it comes to investment. With some amazing setup, it’s a kind of thing that would be ideal for any Crypto investor who prefers to divide up the investment instead of getting stuck with one.

Today, cryptocurrencies primarily play the role of promising investments, and then only because of strong volatility.  There is still no large-scale use of cryptocurrency and the corresponding infrastructure is just beginning to develop.  But after a while, the situation will change and cryptocurrencies will be valued differently.  At least a large business should be primarily interested, for example, in Bitcoin and Ethereum as a means of payment, since this will solve many problems.  But in this regard, these cryptocurrencies will significantly increase in price and their value will be much more stable than now.

Cryptocurrencies have a plethora of uses. ADN (https://adncoin.com) utilize it for peer-to-peer transactions (buying, trading, selling). Many of these cryptocurrencies also have other uses. For example, Ether is used for creating decentralized applications on the Ethereum blockchain, while other tokens are used for accessing services for other platforms. You can linger more in crypto platforms and find cool services.

There are a couple of ways that I make use of my cryptocurrencies. Depending on the crypto, some are for short term, while others are for long term purposes. For short term, I invest in a short while, then after some time, I trade the coins, or either sell, and convert to FIAT. For long term, I stack up coins in ,my wallet for when there is a bull season.

In my country the use of crypto is still limited to just investment assets at this time, because if I want to use it to make payment transactions of course it will violate the regulations made by my country, although there are some parties who use it to make payment transactions, but it is only done by secretly, and I think some countries in the world also applies the same regulations as my country in the use of cryptocurrency now, so inevitably of course we can only make cryptocurrency as an investment asset and nothing more than that.

The only way I have used cryptocurrency at the moment is by paying for SEO services online at Seoclerk.com through Coinbase as a recipient third party (I pay with eth, btc, ltc and bch) and secondly by buying electronic gadgets on the Multiven Open Market(MOM) where I recently purchased a Ledger Nano and Durata Dual IPhone Charger. The problem is not with the people's mentality to assume cryptocurrencies as a sort of investment instead of utility tokens but the real problem is with projects and their progress. All of them are just theory on papers. In reality, none of them actually created any worthy platform to actually use their coin. I have trusted many projects in past whom I thought would become some notable names but their developments are too slow to actually reach among audience and solve their real life problems.

The amount of balance increase slowly but the risk which I am taking is also low. So, I am relaxed all the time 😊

What can we do to cryptocurrency?
Of course we will hold and wait for the right time to trade.
We buy and hold to earn. we use to buy another cryptocurrency or participate in an ICO or IEO.
But if we have a wallet like in my country "COINS.PH" we can use them to pay bills, to send money to friend and relatives.

this is s simple but effective strategy becuase i did this all the time i do hold a coin and making sure that this is a long term or a short term so whenever what coin im holding im just going to wait for it for the right moment and also checking them if it time to sell them or still hold them
That's really good to know which coin we should hold and how much we will Have to be patient. Time will be needed to again rise and give you profit. Waiting is only key to over Come your lose. I use crypto only to invest my money and to gain profit after selling it at double price. At time of need I use my money to buy things of my daily needs.

Or we can say crypto is one good venue to fool people and take their money by luring them high returns. I don't know how people easily throw their hard-earned money to some stranger over internet who is claiming to be XYZ by posting fake LinkedIn profiles. Not everyone's Einstein then why do people expect that every project will become successful?
Creating blockchain applications is not easy job. It requires immense knowledge as well as creativity. Only invest money in projects that are really launched by someone as far-sighted as Vitalik Buterin.

gain ? you mean your a hodler/investor  ?  why your guilty with that . just because you dont buy or contribute ? no you shouldnt  .if you obtain your coins in a legal way then there is no problem  .  while others that obtain crypto in a illegal way are those who dont feel any guilt inside them  .

i use my crypto differently . im not a hodler but only a spender and i dont feel regret spending all my crypto anytime of the day but this only makes me happy

in the future cryptocurrency will dominate, indeed for now crypto is still in the development stage and also people are more interested in trading and taking daily profits rather than actually using it for technological advancements.
but each year the crypto becomes more widespread and some countries have legalized it,
I think after 2 decades people have started using crypto as a technological advance, rather than taking advantage of daily trading.
for now I follow what most people do to take advantage of daily, weekly trading.

I use cryptoqurrency as its function, crypto offers some money in the form of investment, blockchain technology is an extraordinary innovation because it provides convenience in digital asset transactions, and the latest news is now many companies are starting to build technology for needs such as buying and selling products using crypto.
cryptocurrency is simply not understandable for ordinary people and it is very difficult to use, but very soon the technology will become better and everyone will be able to use wallets and cryptocurrency for the ordinary life

Personally, I see crypto as an avenue  to make and earn passive income. I don't really use crypto to make transactions online or for transaction of goods and services. I basically invest in cryptocurrencies, hold them till they are valuable enough to make me some profits. I do this because crypto is not really accepted in the mainstream of the financial ecosystem.

We are the same Minersday. I think of crypto-currencies as an investment for the future. My country is far behind modern
countries, here crypto-currencies are far from mainstream, many still don`t know about them. My government didn`t mention
crypto-currencies even once.
One day when they become accepted I will think about using them, by then I hope that prices will be higher then they are now.
For now that looks like a far away future, now I`m focused on earning and investing, to have as much as I can have.

Cryptocurrency can be used in several ways. It can be considered as a store of value where the holder sees it as an investment opportunity. Here, the investor buys at a certain low price, wait for the coin to rise and sell to make profit at a certain high price. Cryptocurrency with use cases can also be used as such within the ecosystem of that coin. Others can be used to patronize goods and services.

Some people can accept weaknesses and some others can't accept weaknesses from blockchain technology. If current conditions still continue and there is no good growth then the bitcoin situation will be more likely to be in a trading currency and deflation.

Not everyone of them, but I agree, the huge majority of them are just ideas on paper. Worse than that, upon closer inspection, almost all of these ideas are half baked and even inaccurate, not to mention many are just copies stolen and modified from others, who also lifted from others before them.

So you get an army of useless whitepapers and shillers who have absolutely nothing but speculation interest.

Crypto use? Forget it. These guys probably don't even own their own private keys.

actually there is nothing wrong with your explanation. because you have seen the concept of building the coin. but back to the first introduction. Bitcoin is generally introduced as a currency. and Money is mostly to make a quantity of an item or to the currency itself. from some project developers, some who succeed only in the financial circle (currency, wallet, currency market, etc.) while those who want to develop on real projects, such as cargo, real estate, automotive, etc. it is very difficult to get support. so the essence of blockchain is about money. and I use crypto as a currency (trading and purchasing items.)

I think most crypto users use crypto to make a profit. they are busy analyzing and constantly looking for good opportunities to buy and then invest for the long term. or they are busy looking for coins to make daily trades that can provide benefits. so they don't pay much attention to blockchain technology. myself i use crypto for long term investment and trading. but I also want to keep learning about blockchain technology.
I used crypto to gain profit. Earning from it and then invest is other way of using it when I have more than I need. Keep learning to see the improvement of each blockchain and how I am going to earn from it more. Make it work for you makes you work smarter than hardwork.

I use cryptocurrency for trading, getting profits, basic needs and payments. I think most people here used it to trade and get profit because if you just hold your crypto and wait for the price to go up its a waste of time, so better trade it and make profit.
maybe more or less the same as what we do with our cryptocurrency investing or trading only that can be done for several reasons in my country crypto currencies have not been fully recognized by the government as a valid currency for real market transactions and even the government still prohibits direct transactions with crypto currency

I do the same. I'm selling some of my crypto when it's already due date of my bills and that's why I can say that I've been using it that way. To trade sometimes but mostly, it's one of my investments.
I'm also taking it into consideration that the bitcoin I hold is for my retirement fund.  :)

What are your thoughts, and how do you use crypto?

the basic idea, namely to use bitcoin and other currencies as a payment method, is currently at least followed by them. honestly, almost nobody.
but as long as everyone is of the opinion that the BTC will explode and be worth millions, nobody spends his satoshi.
and as long as that doesn't happen, there won't be any real value. so it's a vicious circle that will still be exciting to watch. :D

Since there is a limitation of using cryptocurrency in our real-life then we may utilize only a few ways like an investment, Trading and holding for making more cryptocurrency, I like trading but in recent time the trading had got huge risky because of the volatility of the price, for me actually no use of cryptocurrency in my life except holding or investing in some new project. if there is an opportunity to use as a payment method all over the world then it would be very comfortable to us to use this cryptocurrency, I hope in the coming future it will happen and cryptocurrency will be a good payment method, but at present, except holding, it's nothing to me.

yes you're right there are rarely who use bitcoin and other crypto coins for payment tools. although many say crypto is the best payment tool, but still maybe only less than 1% of crypto users use crypto to pay for something.

Yes others are more interested in gain and not in real use. But we can't blame them because crypto currency is also a type of currency. And in fact I'm also one of the users of crypto currency to make a profit.

Maybe it is not up to date for crypto currency to be fully utilized as much is still dependent on fiat money.

Personally, I use cryptocurrency in different situations. For example, one of the ways you can very profitably invest in the future. In another way, you can sell well on the exchange at a very competitive price. So both options are very good. And cryptocurrency brings good results to use. I think that in the future in our modern world it will be possible to pay in stores only with cryptocurrency.

I use it to live on but am running out soon so not sure if I can still sustain myself through Crypto alone or if I will need to emigrate and go abroad to find a normal day job outside of the internet. I got two more months to decide if working crypto full time is still viable for me or if I need to choose another path and just do this in my spare time. I do hope that I get another chance to grow some crypto bags and do well like I had done in previous years but this time be wiser and try to take much more profit out so I can do something substantial. I at least in the last three years had a chance to pay my rent, food, and bills in crypto and last year helped a few family members too, but a few unwise investment choices and the bear market have made me very thin now on crypto resources so am battling it out now to stay afloat. So for now at least I can still say I pay my bills and food in crypto.

As for me, I purchase crypto for trading and partly for investment.  For ins9, if I am able to get into a project at its earliest stage of ico,  then I use such for investment.  Otherwise, I majorly use my crypto for trading.

I'm not gonna lie, personally, I've been using crypto to gain profit. I perceive crypto as a job and I guess some of us here though the same. I used crypto to earn profit through trading and investment. Crypto is versatile, it could be used as an asset or can use as a currency it depends on the people how will they use it on their own preferences. Personally, I use this as a source of income and to provide my necessities.

my opinion about crypto is very useful in the future because besides being easy to carry it is also very easy to get even though it is very prone to phishing or hacking of a crypto wallet, maybe in the future crypto will be used as a medium of exchange for conducting transactions but that has not been confirmed further , I use crypto as my online store transaction tool because the payment is fast and easy.

Yes. That is what I am doing too especially if I do have time, since I do have work, I can't focus much on it. Then, If I do have profit from Trading, I am paying my bills online such as credit card bills, and telecommunication bills, do I don't need to go to the payment center, it saves me time and hustle free.

In most of the countries crypto is used only for investment and trading only because of the government but apart from this usage crypto is used for many purposes in developed countries, as I see most of the people use crypto for online shopping and I think it is the most useful purpose of crypto. I personally use crypto most of time only for paying bills like electricity bill etc.

This is nice to use crypto for long term investing because when you invest your coin for long term it gives you chances to increase in price and also it helps you to get knowledge about it. I use to buy coins at low price then hold for long term. I also use my crypto investment to buy things I want to have in my life and now in crypto we can buy everything as its reliable to use.

Cryptocurrency is good way to use especially in paying in transactions that you believe does not need for you to tell the store your identity. It is very popular in gambling that do not have KYC. Aside from gambling, I like using crypto to sometimes trade whenever I feel that the market feels good to buy and sell coins.

There are a lot of ways on how you can use and benefit in crypto at the same time. You can use crypto as an investment, it is actually very popular nowadays considering the fact that its value is very volatile which means it can go high a lot or low sometimes. You can also use crypto for convenience since it is regulated and managed through the use of technology so I suggest you make the most of it specially with your transactions worldwide.

Certainly what you say about trading on crypto can clearly be profitable and can also be detrimental. depends on how we analyze it so we want to do the execution.
altcoin is currently a lot in red marks and needs to analyze and retrieve the best and store it for a certain period of time. but it's clear that bitcoin and ethereum are still reliable in crypto.

It's good to make profit from trading, but I think we should be looking at real life use cases aside making profit from trading. For instance, I used ETH to top up my mobile phone number (purchase call card) via COSS app and it was swift. There are many altcoins with diverse use cases but funny enough the "use cases" per say on whitepaper most times will never be actualized in real life. I think DENT team also is doing a great job on daily crypto use, even though the price keeps going down.

the best way to use crypto is to trade on the exchange and invest in a coin that you think is profitable. because using crypto to buy supplies in some countries is still not possible, so I think the best reference for using crypto is by trading or investing, but beyond that there are definitely many other uses.
I also like to trade my crypto because it is the only good way to get profit from your investment. When you invest your money just buy some coin at a low price then hold them after that you can go for trading or investing it long term also it will increase in price gradually and you will get profit for selling higher this is my way to use crypto and some times I use it for online shopping.

there are so many crypto now of all kinds and uses, now the only problem is the advantage of crypto over its use, but in my opinion it's a natural thing, there are always benefits in every use and it's really useful now crypto and multifunctional

Disadvantages and advantages of cryptocurrencies will take a toll on us if we are going to misuse it, it is a natural thing but we have to limit everything, the freedom we are having via fiat and cryptocurrency could be the gone in a wrong way if we are going to use it on something that is not really recommended, even if it will gives us a lot of money, think of the possibilities that could go wrong and could affect you in a perspective you don't want to happen.

We have to use cryptocurrency ethically for us to live peacefully while earning profits on it, that is much better rather than being hunted by the government.

All this shows that crypto currencies have ability to meet daily demands of people and they could be easily used by people all over the world to do daily life buying and selling. This is the best feature of bitcoin and other authentic altcoin projects that they provide people with source of income even when they are not doing any day job. A little investment in crypto currencies can provide you with options of multiple trading.

I use Crypto as my daily life. Usual I do both of them as you explain. I do a good project promotion where to get a reward and I use for both short and long term trading.
Usually if the daily trades I choose a new altcoin rising or famous on that day. And if for the long haul I ordinary choose BTC and ETH are more profitable in the future.
Not hard to predict that blockchain will be useful in the future. Sees only the popularity of Bitcoin will have an impact on countries that want to adopt the blockchain as China.
