I make a point that today and tomorrow are the last days of cheap bitcoin. bitcoin is forming a falling wedge pattern which means that when the downtrend line is broken the btc will likely return to the price of 8500 - 9500.
What do you think?

Looks more like a weak slow bleed than a falling wedge to me. The way price is sticking to the floor implies real weakness. We need to go down (new lows) before we can go up.

There were negative speculations about the formation of death cross. This might create another FUD and probably make another panic from the weakhands. Although this pattern may not mean anything, but the similarity of this situation from the past when Bitcoin drops down to $3,000, will somehow make an impact to the doubtful in investors.
I admire your bullish speculations, but I might hold onto my belief that we'll be hanging to this support level or worst, a drop below $7,000 at least until mid November.

Meaning this is not the lowest point at the moment many say bitcoin will fall and continue to fall, and I am not sure it will go down to $ 3000. Bitcoin prices are still flutuactive it can not be confirmed, if the OP says today the lowest price of bitcoin I think it's reasonable because viewed from the graph indicates that bitcoin will rise.

I did not believe this in the past and I regret that.

I did reinvest but not that much since more than that, I will not be able to afford it. Despite me not really sure of what might happen, I guess I will just invest and wait. As a tip, we should be aware that we can afford the investments that we are doing or else, too much would be really bad especially if you will be doing that continuously.

A trader really know what they do like investing they did not invest too much because yes you can get more as more as you invest to the bitcoin but the more you put money to invest the more losing of your money will get so they have time that need to invest only that you can afford to lose because of the risk of the bitcoin to dump the value even it's good investment.

Additional analysis, especially on the STOCHASTIC RSI on bitcoin.
This is weekly time frame and what I see is we are current oversold, last time we are oversold is when the price of Bitcoin dump below $4,000. As what I can see is maybe bears can't push this anymore even below $7,000 for sure.
I am also expecting more upside price action in next coming weeks, especially when are fast approaching on block halving.

In my standard I wouldn't call that a falling wedge. The wedge is extended over a too long period of time, now that doesn't mean Bitcoin can't reverse here. As a matter of fact as long as it is consolidating in this zone, my bullish inclination raises. We're currently in an accumulation or redistribution phase. Hopefully we won't head down and hold the ground here. Otherwise what can I say.. more cheap Bitcoin for the hoarders.  :D

Buy today to regret it tomorrow? I consider the current chart formation to be indicative of a falling knife, which is something you shouldn't touch if your sole goal is to make a quick dollar or two, unless you're going short of course.

If we're talking about dollar cost averaging, it definitely doesn't hurt to buy the market down with small buys every week or every other week.... it's much better to do so at current levels than when we were above the $10k mark.

Everything just points at very strong presence of the bears and that's not going to end without a fight.

I think the price is still very high to get in right now. I think we will see another shake before we go up again. Bitcoin still not accepted in major countries as a payment method & regulators still hesitating to accept bitcoin. That's why serious investors not interested to invest right now. People investing just based on imagination. Bitcoin failed to hold this price last year and I think this year we will see the same result. There is very low possibilities that price will go up from here but most of the people think we're going down below $5000 again. Without proper regulation & controlling on the market from manipulation we won't see a stable high price. Price can hit $15000 this year as well but won't hold there more than a week. So we should no care about the price today we need a regulated market. I am waiting for a $4000 entry again.

I have to disagree with that. A regulated market won't rocket Bitcoin to the sky. It is all about supply and demand, accumulation & distribution ;)
As you are probably used to, Bitcoin moves in waves, in very volatile waves to be exact, but after every halvening it got multiple fold more valuable. We have reached the 18 million bitcoins mined mark and according to Chain Analysis research ~4 million BTC is lost or likely lost. Statistics show that there are 36M millionaires in the world. Divide that by 21M total bitcoin supply and get the price if each one of those millionaires only wanted 1 BTC.

It's all well and good using previous behaviour of the price graph to predict future behaviour until the "pattern" gets broken. People come up with all kinds of patterns based on the fact that it happened once or twice before. I'm not a believer in trying to identify shapes in graphs like falling wedges and the like.

To people who have no idea what's going on and are reading this: if you really want to invest then use DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging). It does a better job of shielding you from drops, there is no telling if the price will go up or down any time soon.

I think it looks like exsasie is right, the price needs to go down only a juuuuuust a bit, like if we test to $7300 first then we have like $7000 for 1 hour or so and jump right back to $7300 then the price would say "hmmm they don't allow us to go under $7300, we tried $7000 and it went back up" and then traders will say "if the accumulation is over and price is not going down then maybe we should go up again before we drop".

So, the price may drop to $7600-$7300 levels and then jump super high, that would end up with price going over $9k+ for the first time since the last months drop and then probably stay above $9k+ for a while until traders are done selling all their coins without disturbing the market, after they are done then price may end up dropping once again for another accumulation phase.

As far as I think it isn't clearly a falling wedge more of a downward parallel channel. Even though buying it as of now is hell too risky because as per your own prediction it is bound to touch the bottom of the channel for once which is around 7600-7700 point and one can ladder up there buys when BTC is coming up from that fall down. So you can basically end up buying all your position at much lower price from what it is now and even if the breakout fails you can sell it for profit or atleast breakeven while buying it now would be a 50-50 chance.

If you look back in time on the 1W Stoch RSI, there's still times where the indicator fell to near zero and had only minor bumps upwards from zero and went back down, and a view of the 1D Stoch RSI shows there's still room for it to fall, but I'd agree that there's likely going to be more upside in the longer-term while we could see additional moves down in the mid-term as the bearish trend we're currently in still remains strong. I'm additionally expecting the actual halving to be relatively uneventful but a rise a bit after the event has passed somewhat.

Long term stochastics (and also momentum indicators like RSI) can stay oversold for months in a strong downtrend. I would never depend on them to signal a bottom. Look at these examples from the 2014 bear market:

Just look at the support and you will know who's lying while expecting a $3000 if Bitcoin drops. It is just too much to think that Bitcoin would reach that price again. Those weak-hands doesn't know anything in the market but I believe that Bitcoin would be testing the $7k before going up to try to break the $9k resistance.

Yeah, $3000 is not going to happen anytime soon. Setting aside technical analysis, i feel that people have already learned that bitcoin is too legit to go back to those kinds of lows. I believe that a retrace to ~$7k levels is really healthy, especially for the upcoming halvening. It will be just in time for the next huge pump which could bring us back to $9k levels or even to possible new all time highs.

And it looks like we have launched. The RSI was again showing a buy opportunity and people took it. I hope it's not going to be short-lived. We could use a few green dys right now.
If you ask me if you should buy today I will always answer yes. Smart people are dollar cost averaging just to hold as much as possible when we enter real parabolic rally like you've never seen before.

A falling knife usually refers to a crash. We've been sideways for 3 weeks. Classical technical analysis says it's a bear flag but BTC breaks upward from bearish patterns fairly often. Even if we're in a full on bear market now, a retest of the $9,000s up to $10K is pretty much inevitable.

I think the prediction you have has the difficulty of being able to make the price of bitcoin expensive again because there is currently no good news that can trigger a rise in the price of bitcoin and it doesn't hurt if you buy bitcoin because bitcoin has very limited supply and demand that so high that bitcoin can guarantee profits for those who still have bitcoin.

I think the breakout done few hours ago? That pump from around $7900 to $8200. It continue will still above $8000 then it is good, we are already battling this $8000 support for how many weeks. Hope we will still stay above $8000, that pump recently is good for Bitcoin.

I have read this kind of analysis so many times before but instead of Bitcoin will rise up but its falls down losing my investments. Its just like when you buy the dip it dips oven more so i suggest that do not be easily to fall to this speculation because the truth is no one could really tell the future of Bitcoin market but this is better than spreading FUD.

This is quite a prophetic TA. I am amazed. And I very seldom am amazed when it comes to TAs. Many of them are failing their predictions. But not this one, so far, although I am seeing in the charts that instead of Bitcoin pushing through with the rising line and creating a double digit growth before going into correction, it has already bumped into something hard even before it hit $8,300. I hope to see $9,000 though very soon.

Tthere is still no long red candle , wait for read candle according to the technical analysis that you make. I don't think it's tomorrow, but closing this week, today's market is green, so we haven't entered the final correction phase yet. I think waiting in the red again might be around $ 8100 to buy some.

It is difficult to say this because Bitcoin is still in a phase and often drops suddenly which makes investors feel very nervous when investing. I think the downtrend will last for a few years and if you are not careful you will easily lose money here. I am not sure what this market will look like in the next few months but it is possible that Bitcoin will soon return to $6000 before there is a major change.

Very good analysis, my friend, I understand very well about graph analysis, but if you only rely on the chart it is not enough to be strengthened with some good news for bitcoin, to help strengthen that bitcoin will rise to the moon, especially now that bitcoin is downtrend so we are extra careful when making choices.

You're just a good thinker, such a trader, I would entrust my money to the management:) I Hope Bitcoin will no longer test the level of $7900, because the nerves of investors are at the limit. The main cryptocurrency has already fallen almost 2 times from the recent price of $14,000. I think the current price level we will remember as a historical bottom. Now only up! 

Bitcoin successfully defended the support of $8k which shows that bulls are strong enough to hold it. But the picture isn't yet clear. Until BTC crosses the resistance of $8800, much can't be said about the trend. You're correct that falling wedge is in the formation and this $200 jump is a good indicator for the bullish trend. But I still would like to wait for the trend confirmation before jumping in to take any position.

As for my own view too. my position is same thing, to wait maybe till next year so not to be trapped. The price over a month has been sideways and ranging. It can either way, as I'm looking at the $8,500 to be broken before the end of the year.

That's possible and I agree, with that price if we will ever achieve that again, we will be close to $10K which my conservative target by the year end.
I will follow this thread and let's see if from the current price, we can see some big pump this month.

It seems that the chart has a good sign on the bullish market and I really hope it will happen. As of now, this is the current price of bitcoin 8,262.45$ and I think right now we can see a slowly rising price. If you going to buy bitcoin maybe this time is the good entry point simply because in the next few days the price will start to increase until it reaches again the 10000$.

I saw this thread since it was posted but didn't add any comment that time because I don't have a TA skills ;D which can help this thread more informative but I can't stop myself to praise OP on his bullish prediction and it seems that OP was right on his prediction base on the price movement of Bitcoin over the past few days.

A big possibility to happen. Since RSI was oversold, expect some huge bull run. But it since many have an entry to buy long, we can't really be sure for it. On the other hand, I am very optimistic about it. We've touched down at $7500 few days ago, it is time we experience some increase in upcoming days.

There is a breakout at $8200 and it will continue to bull run as expected.

Well actually we cannot tell by just looking in the chart we should consider the fact that the market is uncertain to predict. However, I agree that you should consider purchasing now since bitcoin is now making a move, I don't know if it will go for another dip or go for a bull. If you were a long-time investor then perhaps you don't need to worry about the price you are going to buy because remember bitcoin is volatile, bitcoin could drop as low but it can recover the loss and become even more compared to what it is before.

Good for making technical analysis, I'm the type of person who trades by trusting the latest cryptocurrency news. In my opinion technical analysis by marking a history of corrections and bulls does not mean 100% happens, we also have to consider the influence of users and news.

Since it's really hard to identify the bottom, you might want to wait until it starts to head up a little bit on a steady trajectory, before you buy. Yes, you missed the bottom, but you don't miss false bottoms, at least on the local scale.

For now, since it is impossible to buy at the very bottom anyway, I agree that buying BCH right now is not a bad decision. I would estimate that BTC will still fall below $6,000, but since BCH right now is already artificially low it could very well be that it won't go that much further down.

For me, it's not that bad to buy bitcoin now because you can see the graph that it will increase sooner. But it's not that accurate because we know that bitcoin's fluctuating price rate is difficult to understand. Also, do your calculation, research, analysis ( TA), and set your target price rates. But it depends on you if you can afford and calculated to buy some bitcoin, why not? There are some TA that is showing it a good time to buy. :)

It's really hard to predict the value of the bitcoin. If you see different prediction then you will see different forecasts and different graph everywhere and as there are lots of extra  factors (like gov ban and regulation ) are there so I found really difficult to rely on that kind of graph. But watching the past performance  and the future possibility of BTC maximum people will agree that BTC is at low price now. So it is good to buy it today.

I think all it depends of the strategies we have depend on if we aim buy bitcoin for the long term it is not wrong to buy now because the price is cheap but if buying for the short term is too risky because the current movement of bitcoin unpredictable in this case I prefer the first selection because hold bitcoin long term will give a lot of profit

This is all bullocks. How can you tell anyone to buy bitcoin now when we are approaching November in the fourth quarter of the year? I don't think that is a good idea. You can only advise people to buy bitcoin in the fourth quarter of the year when is there is an active bull run in the market. If there is no bull run in the market, it is too risky because the winter is coming.

Pretty easy to achieve $10k yet we are so far from that price but if you will look at the whole market, its a good opportunity for us to own bitcoin at a discounted price, with good future soon. 2019 is still here, we will see expensive bitcoin before halving and after that, the volume will go up again just like 2017 trend.

Both fundamental and technical analysis are needed in cryptocurrency trading. We can't rely 100 percent on news and also on technical analysis. News can be hoax or cancelled and those are game of whales that can manipulate media

Bitcoin is playing a very important role in the present life and many places are using Bitcoin for payment so I believe that the value of this coin will tend to increase in the near future. Though everything can happen along the road but better to have some basis into it, and by looking into the previous chart vs the present market trend we're able to think when to buy/sell our BTC's. If we are right with our trajectory (and I supposed to be right anyway) then, we won't miss anything but the market still unpredictable and it never works like that easily.

Basically we are in the fourth quarter and if you notice the chart and follow to buy it when the thread is made, you will indeed benefit because prices have risen so far, but to reach 9k this month seems impossible and let's wait for the next month from the last quarter of this year hopefully there will be more significant growth.

The price of bitcoin so far was under 8231$ if I am not mistaken, in which I think it is really right to make buy now and good timing as well to take the chance to have it, just do buy them according what you can afford to have it.

Your title says something else and your chart is saying something else. I think there is another dip on the way towards $6k. This is a strong support zone, I think we have to wait for the price action confirmation on bigger timeframes so we can accurately buy it from there. Good luck to you if you bought it here.

I wouldn't hope for anything in November and December months, because if you go back in time, these are usually the months where Bitcoin is losing a lot value, and that can stretch out all the way to January and February.

It's a great time if you are out to accumulate as many coins as possible, but for hodlers it generally isn't a great time.... how likely is it for a market to not do the same thing it did in almost every single previous year? I say very likely.

The current price action where the price dips below and jumps above the $8k mark is very similar to the price action we had at the $10k mark.... once we fall further the next stop is likely $2k lower, so the $6k mark.

I disagree, $8,000 is too low compare to what we have in December 2017, the price of bitcoin recently is a good chance to make profits if it is really going to pump up to $15,000 or more, greediness will become regrets in the end if you failed to buy at this moment and the price suddenly goes up (anytime soon).

What i actually think is that we might see another correction before we hit the pump in prices and this time prices can go low but not even low to $3000 as its too low point of prices.You can buy now or wait for some time but soon the prices will pump and we will witness prices going almost to $15-$20k anytime.

In my view, the current rate of bitcoin price is still good to go to accumulate some btc. Agree for some the price is still bad to invest but if we look into the chart bitcoin has the chance to increase. I'm having good thoughts in bitcoin that we could see a good price increase so this still a good time to buy in my opinion.

I highly agree since the value would rise up in a couple of months and i think this is because of of the upcoming halving and that's why people are surely going into it. If your trading entirely depends on latest crypto currency news, I am really worried if this brings profits or there are times when you came across losses too. This is the perfect time to buy Bitcoin for a long time holding purpose. If new guys buy Bitcoin to earn a quick profit, they may lose. It's not necessary that we have to go to new lows before we can touch new highs because if that's the case then anybody would be able to predict when BTC will go to a new high. I think that once it crosses the $9K target BTC will rise upto #12K at least before making another correction and then may be after that it will rise further.

Just a few big changes in this market, we will lose profits when investing. I am not sure what will happen to Bitcoin but the $7500 price is the price you can consider investing right now because the market today is having a big drop. Maybe in the near future people will encounter a lot of psychological problems but keep calm because Bitcoin will soon return to the uptrend soon.

We have seen one good price which is 12k USD and it really stayed there for a long span of time.

Now this fall could be created by the new kind of ICO which is IEO. Investors are still optimistic with it thinking scams will be prevented that way.
Bitcoin which they owned could have been sold to buy a piece of that project and it might be one reason for the dump.

Well, I don't think buying bitcoin now is a good idea because it appears the cryptocurrency market is going down. I think it is better to buy bitcoin when the market is going up instead of going down. Welp! The OP's chart shows the buying opportunity is around $7,700 and now the current price of Bitcoin is $7,400. And also many are expecting the final crash to go to the high $6,000. If indeed a descending wedge, the lowest price would be around $7,000 in the first week of November.

The trading volume has picked up a lot today, but I'm sure it will drop significantly when we start to move sideways for a while until the next major moves resets the price higher or lower.

It's always the same when it comes to how this market behaves during a corrective phase.... the longer corrective phases drag on the lower the volumes will be, even when there are big moves that wake the market up.

The reason is that people don't want to touch an asset that tanks, so they either wait or just shift their focus completely and leave until they see Bitcoin make new highs on their local news tv channel.

Well, we have different views on when is the time to buy bitcoin. As I can observe the price decrease and if my funds permitted I still wanted to accumulate bitcoin at this stage. As you can see we are heading to have a death cross signal recently in the last few days bitcoin price continues to get dropped after the sudden surge two weeks ago.

It was good for those holder of bitcoin if they buy more bitcoin. I'm just read some news about bitcoin that will take to $10k in this month of december or more than that price.

As long as we have a plan to hold for the long term then buying when the price is below 10k is a good idea, and whether or not there is an uptrend signal I think a bullish trend will at least happen, and on the other hand with these fluctuating prices we can make a partition for long-term investments and trade for quick profits. So, when we are confident to buy and sell at the time then basically it will not be a problem either and all the moments there will definitely be profits that can still be obtained.

The price did go up, but it still dropped back after getting to around $9.1k. the price is now at the rate of $8000 and still struggling to move up. I don't know when the bull run is going to be, I have held my bitcoins for a long time. These things will just tempt you and when you make a mistake and withdraw your money and then boom - the price will start going up with speed.

I don't want to make that mistake, but I don't know if I'm going to hold it around the time of halving. If there isn't any increase before the time of halving I might sell and wait for the halving to pass because I know that after halving the price will decrease. After the halving and when price might have decreased I will then buy back quickly to see whether the price will go up. Don't know if I'm right , but condition then will determine the actions I take.
