We currently have Mining.Cafe as a pool, if you wish to set up another pool we would welcome that and share your info in our ann.

Good idea for a coin-- we went through some issues with Trollcoin's tipbot where all the bot's replies got hidden and the bot got constantly banned. So careful with that-- expect it to happen.

mining.cafe is at the proper fee, for about 10min it was very wrong

QT/daemon compiled on ubuntu 16.04 no problem. I had to downgrade boost on 18.04

This is a good concept, so besides mining we can get this coin from the tweets we make by getting tips from our friends. Regarding the exchange, in which exchange are you targeting to list Twit Coin? Do you plan to list it in a large exchange? I'm really looking forward to it. I think this is quite interesting, if you have a bounty link for this project you can also include it in this thread.

Dude, you can't really expect a startup coin like this who uses its pre-mined coins for marketing to be even listed on those "large exchanges".  :D You'd be thankful if this even lists on any exchange at all. :/
As for the concept, it isn't unique. As notsofast have said, Trollcoin already had similar idea but unlike this one which primarily focuses on just Twitter, Trollcoin can also be used on Twitch.
Also OP, do check your ann thread contents, there are some typos.

Has anyone checked this file other than him? The number of detected viruses is quite high. I don't think all of them are false positives

Yes, I know. But however we cannot carelessly judge this project. We should be able to continue to support and advice for those who want to develop. We all know that the blockchain technology still needs to be refined, I hope that with the advent of this kind of project, they can also contribute to introducing other communities. Twit Coin is very focused on Twitter, if they can build a good community there then listing on the exchange is not impossible even they can list on a large exchange although it takes time. This is the positive side that I can convey.

If we just continue to judge them without giving constructive opinions, it really doesn't help at all. So, as much as possible I will continue to support those who want to continue to grow with a positive comment which can help to encourage them.

I have asked this before, and I think we should be more patient to wait for confirmation of their answers. I hope they can bring good news to the people who support this project and we must be optimistic about the struggle they are doing for this.

The social media platforms can be difficult sometimes with crypto. Platforms like Facebook is launching their own version of digital currency eg Libra. Twitter may or may not allow your Tipbot to function on their platform. It is a very good idea that you have and needed as well, but there is a real and high risk of Twitter shutting it down without warning. I think social media platforms prefer real humans using their platforms instead of bot accounts.

Hmmm, prob not gonna work.  The algo leaves much to be desired as well, why not make it more interesting?
I dont think social media is ready to integrate a third parties coin, they will wanna cash in and control supply by issuing their own for sure. libra style
And sadly, there's already established "social tipping" coins like REDD and even DOGE, so ya, this is probably DOA lol

not scamming, the pool broke and I lost ssh access from everywhere.

I've already spent about 2 years on and off working on Twit.

We were originally an ERC20 token, we saw the limitations of that and began developing the twit chain / twit bot to work as it's own stand alone coin.
Twit is a passion project of mine, and not a money grab.. it's meant to be a fun project that you can give your friends tips on social media.

Honestly, If i wanted to make a cash grab that would benefit myself, I probably wouldn't name the project TWIT with such a premine...
This project is meant to be airdropped and shared not hodled and stored. No fun in that.. ;)

Usually the problem of most projects related to social media is the sustainability of the enthusiasm of its users. How long they will patronize the platform? What is there to gain to continuously utilize this project? As new platforms arise in social media, those users may eventually abandon its account and create a new one in the block.

Outside tipping, is there anything else that this coin is useful? Or this is designed solely as a tipping coin? And what if twitter or facebook will not allow this coin to be used within their social media platform? What will happen to this project? Will it simply die or it still has to more forward with another approach and use? And what if Facebook will finally create their own token and twitter also? What will happen to this coin?

Using social media for promotion is indeed very effective, but whether this service does not violate the provisions of the twitter. many users who promote cryptocurrencies end up being banned by Twitter.  Is there a guarantee that this tip service will continue to be active.  Social media services are increasingly stringent in their use.  Honestly, I'm not sure about the service in the long run.

Twit was designed to be a fun tipping coin for social media, That was the idea since inception, We do not currently have plans outside of that usecase and at the moment will not state if we plan to expand from that... As for your comment on if twitter/facebook decides to shut us down, we will have to cross that bridge when we get there, Twitter already silenced the bot once, but our team came up with a clever way to make the bot work without getting flagged by the twitter banning bot algo... which imo is really awesome! We might expand to Twetch / telegram / discord however we are not putting it in the roadmap just yet.

You are correct, When we first launched twitter shut us down very fast, however one of our team members came up with a great way to make the bot not get flagged by twitters algo's. We have been tipping countless people over the last month without being silenced! If they do decide to shut us down again, we will either start the bot back up with some new adjustments or look elsewhere like twetch and if all else fails and the community still loves the project we can always take a step back and think about different routes we can go, however ideally i would like to keep twit as a social media tipping coin, since that is what we envisioned it as during inception and want to stay true to the dream.

Are you not realizing that you are operating on a very narrow and limited space here? Twitter could come up with their very own token in the near future and make yours a little bit useless in their platform. Also, I have known and actually used DOGE a number of times for tipping, not only through social media platform but also elsewhere. And it has always been good with DOGE. The transaction is fast, the fee is very minimal, and the with a little value, the coin is really just perfect for it.
