I have three notes : one , there must be a length requirement for the videos to be accepted. I doubt if you would pay a interesting prize for a short video. Two , many users can participate and there is no need for anybody to be a high ranked account. I think this rule is unnecessary. Three , you should delete the requirement rule youtube channels to have 250 subscribers or to add that the youtube channel of the applicant has to be crypto oriented niche.

I dont think it will happened the same thing like the art contest. This is a particular topic about roobet and its a gambling site, some of the vlogger I know are not into gambling. Of course this affect their interest as well on creating an entry or a promotional video. But Im pretty sure many will still submmit their video for this contest.

How I wish I can submmit too. But I dont have talent in this.

@Hhampuz maybe you can also do an art contest for roobet Im pretty sure many will produce good arts for roobet.

There is no consideration regarding subscriber if has many, few or none ? Or just purely a video promotions.

Videos have more effects and bring more traffics than Arts that can be used for banners, sites, and so on. I don't see odds of Art Contest from Roobet.com or any casino. If there are other contests, I guess Content contest, maybe.

Roobet doing well, but on this case most likely you will not get much submission from bitcointalk. I know prize is good enough but there is lack of video creation skill. Although some good video editors here but likely they are not involved with gambling. That's the main issue, who will create video for you they should have enough knowledge about gambling.

You may create video even from marketplace lower than offered prize prices. You may use that on your own YouTube channel. Although Google doesn't allow gambling advertising but most likely they allow video promotion  ;)

The last rule of "Video must remain on YouTube, even if you lose" may not be followed by most who lose as they don't benefit from the video unless users join with the affiliate link and make a deposit. Will the winners be rewarded to the wallet of their choice or would they be receiving the winnings in their respective Roobet account? Yeah bit agree on this. You know I'm just carried away with recent art contest on giggling. Maybe youre right content is way more good advertisements than art but who knows right? You know how good when a contest affiliate with forum like bitcointalk, I think it could gain more traffic too that's why i suggest it.

IMO, Video editing with good content and idea is a very hard job unlike using video templates that are already existing and not very attractive to be a promotional video.

A quick disclaimer, I just want to come clean, since some people here concern about 'template',
several parts of my video is pre-made footage/template or whatever you call it, which I have acquired legally, but I don't think it's against the rule.
but of course, I spent time and effort to edit those pre-made footages add Roobet theme/items, and add my own voice over.
For the background music, I download it from youtube audio library which is free for everyone.

Yeah, all of them spent time and effort also to make videos like this even they used template. But in the end, devs are still the ones who will decide who's the winner and we should know from the start that using templates is a risk due to less unique and originality even though we exerted effort. I hope you and the other participants get this.

Anyways, using a template then putting some free plugins are good though, at least you didn't just use the normal template and make it look as new.

I do agree and I think most of the participat too, that template means unoriginal, or at least lack of originallity,
I also think the organizer may also consider originality as one of the winning point, but IMHO the point of making promotional video is to make the video attractive, and most of the time originallity is not the answer,

The template was used by multiple platforms, different online gambling sites and other projects. Do you think investors or users will get attracted to it when they knew it's being used again and again? Probably some popular investors will be cringe af 'cause it lacks uniqueness, originality and very even to the others. IMO, being odd and original with good content is the most attractive. Well, this is just a point of a non-participant, I hope you don't mind, good luck guys!  ;)

it depends, does the template used wisely, does it modified well, and does it actually deliver the proper message to the users, if yes, then, does not matter if a video has highly over-used template it will still be attractive, it is not only applied to video, but also other kind of promotion, thats why most of promotion is following trend, which will be very unoriginal, just like how most pop music is very unoriginal but its popular, most of them are using music 'template'

on the other hand, any people, will also cringe af when they saw a promotion that looks original, but it's not even good looking, or can't deliver the promotion message well.

At least they tried to make their own content, that's what should be included in the criteria on every contest. I think there's no one here will make bad looking promotion video 'cause everyone will do their best, and everyone here is aiming for high quality. I doubt there's someone who'll make an original-made video that lacks content-wise and bad looking 'cause the effort you exerted in creating an original video will be useless if there's no content and bad-looking. So it means having an original video is you're trying to make the best, which is very difficult to gain and produce a unique and wonderful idea.

Therefore, if someone's trying to achieve original video, which means he/she's aiming to have original content which also means it's automatically should be good looking. I know that you're trying to protect that idea 'cause you're also included on those people who used templates, I understand and appreciate that but the fact that modifying existing videos and adding ingredients on it are better than making original videos, I'm against with it . Everything on the internet now is downloadable like plugins, effects, presets, vectors and other stuff on editing. We can produce quality videos using those I've mentioned. But it's better if you've produced something original that's made of scratch, that's the fact and should be the mindset of everyone when trying to join in the contest. I'm not saying that crafting is a bad idea, I'm just saying that starting from a scratch is better. It's like a project, original creation with quality features are very attractive to investors than some copycat or developed projects.

Your previous post also leads the organizer to only choose the winner with the original content. You can't push people to agree with your idea, that is what I protect. I don't protect my idea of using 'template' is ok, I don't need my idea to be protected. I just want people to understand that not everyone will be agreed with them. When the organizer decided the rule, I believe they have seriously considered those rules that fit their needs. Specifically in this forum, as long as those rules are not against this forum rules, that's ok.
When a newbie says the above quotation no one will consider that, but if a higher rank member state that, the organizer will be pushed to consider that idea. Even though I'm just stating my personal likes on this contest while discussing it with you, then we should stick on general standard, and that standard is where originality is also included. I'm hoping that standard should be followed always, I'll stick to what I know 'cause it's my experience in every contest that I've joined, digital and physical contest.

The reason why we still keep arguing about the difference between original and modified work is that there are no criteria released. That's the reason why I keep telling you that originality should be the main factor here 'cause it's a standard and shouldn't be gone in every contest. Not all work that is made with good effects are better than having originality with original content and idea. And I can say that there's no BAD content and idea because we have different capacity, knowledge, and experience, it just takes time and more experience to make good content. Every content that is being made from our mind is considered as good content. Bad contents are not existing and it's not their fault 'cause they just lack experiences. We shouldn't judge a thing and considered it as bad content just because we have more experiences on thinking and creating ideas and content.

Fine, So what if we had participants with original bad works? Well, If I'm the one who'll give judgment, I'll still be amazed at his creativity making that content, not similar to others. I guess it's a little bit better than existing content, It's not always about the effects or how beautiful the video is made with lightings, presets and many more, it's always about the content even it's super bad. We shouldn't underestimate bad visuals, 'cause they also have the ability to won the contest. In some contests, some people are being expressive, they thought it's bad, but when you realized the meaning (which is the content I'm referring to), it's wonderful. That thing might get intellectual investors who understand it than normal ones. I have done 90% of my work and waiting to submit it on 28 December but campaign is closed on 27th December!!!!!

I spent a whole day doing the video and when I tried to render it out the comp just restarted and I lost everything...My after effects doesn't autosave and I didn't want to save but directly encode😑 I had to suffer in front of the monitor another 6 hours to make it over.

The OP should possibly extend the submission of entries because while reading comments, I find that there's allot of controversies happening here. Definitely, try to filter out comments and retain only the submissions here or make a spreadsheet of the submissions to divide comments and entries.

This contest is not 100% fair judgment. I want to show some reason.
I have no complained about the 1st winner. His video deserves that position.
But if you see 2nd and 3rd winners video then you all can see the quality. and I want to mark one thing that caught my eye.

So after giving the announcement team select winners who submitted the video in the last time. So in my observation, it's not 100% fair. I also submitted a video in this contest and I am not disappointed to not get reward ;)

@absolutely-positioned already admitted that it's an early closing of the contest and he didn't indicate what's the timezone we should use as a basis.
The guy you are pointing out posted his/her entry on December 28, 2019, 07:51:09 AM which is equivalent to 11:51:09 AM PST. So basically even the contest wasn't extended, his/her entry is still included on the participants that sent their entry before the deadline.

Therefore, this as a fair contest. I also checked those entries of the winners and it seems they really deserve it.

After all of the debate, I can say that originality really matters as shown in this contest. It is the standard that should be followed in every contest. Even the entries of the winners are simple, they manage to won this contest through content-wise. I'm satisfied that there's no entry won that uses template videos, it lacks content and originality.

it should be called an explanation competition not a creative competition..
my video is way more creative than them and they video way more eazy to make..  do you see the template typografy? come on..
but this is a competition, in the end you have to decide the winner  ... its subjective and i have to respect you for that..

Show me the template in three prize places, kindly point out the templates that won this contest.
And once again I repeat, the Administrator has the right to choose the one whom he considers necessary, as this is his money and his competition.

Although there may be some who disagree with the results that have been announced (including me, who assume that this contest emphasizes the value of creativity).

Personally, I had wanted to take part in this contest but because it was about creativity while my previous plan is "live betting" so I undo my intention.

Regarding the template: personally I don't really care about the template, as long as it's legal why not (oh man, doesn't this forum also use templates even though it's the default template).

I'm having doubts if I'll join the contest since I have a lot of work to do and I didn't regret it if I missed this contest.  ;)

If you really wanted to improve yourself then don't complain. That's one of the disciplines you should follow when improving. If you think you still lack skills then practice instead of saying this an unfair competition.

Mate, the templates used here on the web are different on video templates. You're assuming this contest emphasized creativity but doesn't know template videos are considered as a lack of creativity. Creativity means you have idea, what's the purpose of that idea if you'll just gonna put effects and add some elements on template/ready-made videos.  :D
