How do you function in a society where everything is going to kill you , and all you see is misdirection and lies in a society that seems to thrive on it.

How do you function in a dishonest society?

I think that we can look at this problem from a bit different point of view. Why are you saying that we live in a dishonest society in the first place? All things are just as they suppose to be. The world is as it is because it's meant to be this way. It was "designed" to be "dishonest, cruel, full of drama"... If it were otherwise it would have been the opposite. From such perspective dishonesty of society disappears and a clear view on this topic arises. All we can do is just to try not to get involved emotionally too much in all the troubles which surround us. Let's stay a bit at a distance from everything that is going on around us: both good and bad. Such a remote observation will allow us to take everything in a more easy way. 

lets imagine a dishonest society

the first thing to figure out is that not everyone functions. it becomes a how to outsmart/out con the next person best and how to avoid them outsmarting/outconning you.
there are not just winners but loses too

even in a dishonest system you can learn ways to reduce risks of loss. say its a busy city filled with pickpockets. you learn to not carry much cash in your pocket.
say its a work place you learn to record conversations so if things come up you can record what was actually said and happened. that way you dont have to make someone believe your honesty. you can just show them evidence

some area's have corrupt police that victimise citizens and then plead ignorant and call the victim a liar. so now people use their camera phones to record interactions with police, making sure its liv-uploaded to the cloud incase the police try to take and destroy the phone.

take bitcoin with its pseudonymity. because people can hide behind proxies and usernames that have no linkage to a birth certificate. you learn to not just hand funds to strangers. much like not just standing in a town and hand people walking by your cash and asking them to come back tomorrow to give it back.
you know they wont come back, so ofcourse you learn to just not give strangers money in the first pace

even in trustless and dishonest societies people can function if they are smart and prepared enough. but not everyone will. so hopefully you learn how to stay above the average and dont become victim to exceptional loss.

You will do the same if you had the chance.
So it is normal to be part of this system and function into it.

Vote a leader that will change your country people become more violent when they think the rule of law is weak because of the corruption of the government who exploits people.
Once scums rules a country more scums are produce, dont let society change you, if you hate that society then become great and change it.

It is very difficult to work in a dishonest society so everyone's views here must be changed before everyone's opinion is different. You need to keep yourself from doing bad and encourage everyone to do good The dishonest person is more likely to appear in every society than this dishonest person should be restrained from himself and he should refrain from doing both good and bad given the situation around him. In addition, we need to find ways to reduce our risk so that the rule of law is weak in our society.

Ignore the negativities. Try to be honest which is itself a challenge here but if you do then others may follow.

This is one of the good thing to do because we can see that if people arent afraid to the leader they can do what they want because they believe that the law cant do anything about it.  But om the other side, the negativities that my society or surrounding have, I just neglect it and focus on the other side which is the positive because these negative society can affect you if you will entertain it more. 

Dishonestly.

This is a pretty stupid topic just based on the fact that you're saying an entire society is dishonest. If an entire society is dishonest, it makes the most sense for no one to have an issue with being dishonest. It's accepted and it's the norm. Not surprising in the least.

all societies are dishonest, they always lie or dont give certain information,

many say only way to live if just to trust in god.

its impossible to have everyone know everything, and everyone be always sure that he says everything correct, i live in germany and no where in the world people take it so seriously what they say, and still they are gaps.

I agree with you that changing the situation around is not possible in society Because working in a dishonest society is so difficult because everyone has different opinions and attitudes I think everyone needs to change their outlook before working in society.

you get a function (job) for free, because each society is interested exploiting the most valuable ressource (educated humans)

As you have the knowledge and money soon you've able to go with the flow in life. As you can survive by the environment then that must be good. The most important is you'd be at the higher who can control system by yourself and not the others can control you.

Of course, it's easier to say that everything is going as it should.

I do not want to leave the comfort zone and do something myself.

Rogues are always comfortable among rogues, among honest people they are embarrassed.

But any struggle requires courage. But courage in society is not welcomed anymore.

You function by minimizing your exposure to harmful effects. This is how in psychology you should fight toxic people like narcissists. You don't talk to them, don't engage in any activities with them, basically cut ties. If the society harms you cut yourself from it. Don't use social media, delete toxic contacts, phone numbers, don't believe commercials, don't watch tv. You have to filter information and watch only what you believe is worth watching.

yep. religion is full of dishonesty and deception and causing drama, wishing harm on people who just want to live peacefully

That is a good question, personally I'm just trying to survive from day to day.  Others around me seem more adapted to it.

It's hard to live in this judgemental society. You can't do something without thinking twice. You can't do something because you think it is not true. And if you do, sometimes it's wrong. This cause to many people have a trust issue. You can't do something because it will lead you to nothing.

In this society to do something. You must think twice. You must need a proof to do something. Because almost everything now is lie.

Well, equip yourself with the means and knowledge to make sure you and your loved ones survive. I don't believe that any society can be totally dishonest. There will be people who will value their morals over stepping on others just to get an advantage. It's a case of me not trying to be dishonest to take advantage of other peoole, but you'll get what you deserve when you feed me bs.

Then be the better person and don't let yourself drag and be affected of what's surrounding you. It can be a reason why there are people that's ending up growing with that attitude but it doesn't mean that you can't break that method.

The reality is there and many will go against and laugh at you being the good guy but don't be discouraged and don't stop being a good person just because of that excuse. It will be hard but at least you're doing it because you know that it's correct.

It really matters if you are also a part of that dishonest society? You have to be good for yourself first then you might realize the struggles of others which could help you to be honest with everyone but never try to be a selfish which is the only reason of all these things in this world.

In a dishonest society – one should keep away from evil acts, see thing with complete clarity. None of the book teaches to stand by cruel and unjust. However justice prevails sooner or later.

I think in addition to adapting to the surroundings If we have to change the view of everyone in society and remove superstition from society then society will be improved by working in a dishonest society.

The simple way to function is because you have to live. People all over the world are selfish and one thing they have in common is to go after their own immediate and personal needs even before common goal and in most case, a lot of people are ready to to anything to ensure that their own bottom line is protected starting with being dishonest. For someone with a moral code and some lines not to cross, the best line is to ensure that you deal with people in the best possible way and satisfy your conscience the moment you do that, I think everything should be fine.

You can let it eat at you and control you, or you can push forward with quality. Our normal tendencies again and again keep us from doing the last mentioned. Yet, perceiving that trustworthiness of character has numerous aspects, and that there are frequently different realities in any circumstance, here are the manners in which you can function in dishonest society -
Understand the impact it has on you
Confront the behaviour
Take action to address the impact
Move forward

First have your credibility intact and find people who you can trust with all your heart. Keep yourself over everyone and be selfish. Face each situation with no bias and solve it with all information in hand.  Dont trust any source and check multiple sources before making any decision and taking further actions. Learn , adapt and act when ever required. Know how a situation going to effect you and calibrate accordingly.

First of all try to have network of close people who you can trust and not lose intra credibility. Know every situation , its impact on you and how you plan to face it. Dont give it all , stay personal and humble , dont be a social monkey else you might face unexpected situation or feel cheated. Stay low and humble would be the key. Know your network well enough so that you can trust them.

Everyone of us started learning from our various home/family and whatever character you are carrying today either good or bad has a link to your family. A good society will only exist when we have a good family and a good up-bring in from our various families.

Be extra cautious and trust none is the solution to live life in a dishonest society. You can maybe have a very closed group of trustworthy people amonh whom you can instill your credibility and build positive relation. Stay humble and access every situation that comes your way .
