Title: Will 2020 be bearish as well?
Post by: Wysi on December 23, 2019, 06:28:10 PM
We all are aware of bitcoin halving and most of the users are discussing about a possible bitcoin pump post halving which might or not not give pump to the value of altcoins. So do you think halving will provide openings for altcoins with a pump or altcoins will continue to be bearish in 2020?

It may or it may not! That will depends on the current news and updates during that month or during the year though, see, for the past year and this year it was different, when btc pumps alts will not follow but when btc dumps alts will dump as well. So basically, it really depends on the current trend but a wise investor or trader won't lose that much even in bear market if you will do wise decision in holding alts.

I don't think 2020 will be bearish, no. 2017 was insanely bullish, particularly at the end... then came the bearish aftermath, which we are still recovering from. The market is not overheated at the moment. Confidence seems to be slowly returning, as we have seen in the bitcoin rise over the last couple of days, so I would think that 2020 should see a return to a more optimistic outlook, and then hopefully to more bullish price movement.

It depends because no one can really predict out on what would be the future.Halving might trigger out bullish movement or not into those particular days ahead
but if we do talk about chances then we might able to see or believe that it would happen but not an assurance though but usually if btc halving do takes place
there would be a significant effect on the price specially if its being hyped up by the community.Hopefully we wont see another bearish year on next one.

Based on the last halving, Bitcoin always gets pump after halving happened
halving would happen in 2020 so it wouldn't be bearish anymore

when Bitcoin is pump, altcoin will follow it
But, I think not all altcoin can follow, just the good one

i dont think that 2020 will be bearish
but why are you saying "also"?
the first half of 2019 was pretty bullish, people made x5 on many alts and x3 on BTC

Let's think of it that it would not go as positive as bitcoin so our expectations with altcoins wouldn't be that much.
It wont come to an instant because it's gonna come gradually just like what we have seen.
In the end, think of bearish 2020 so if it will become bullish, you'll be surprise and ever be thankful.

Obviously bear market took too long. Most of altcoins have been falling recently, and this has to be broken somewhere. If halving expected for next year affects BTC, it may be possible to affect altcoins as well. Actually, there was an increase in prices at the beginning of this year, but this increase resulted in a price drop again. That is why I believe another wave will come.

I don't put a lot of expectation to the halving and just try to remind you about the fact that if halving will not give a huge impact especially in the short term run of bitcoin. At least that can affect the market but it's not about giving a big pump that makes the price of bitcoin becomes doubled.
let's see the litecoin as an experiemental coin of bitcoin and that has served the real result about what already happened after the hype for the halving has gone.
It will not be the bearish trend but just try to remind halving can bring a little pump.

Bear market really gives us a hard time because of its long dominance but next year the fate of crypto market is still uncertain we might see it rise or still the opposite. So we cannot conclude anything in this type of economy, its always for the market to decide.

With the halving coming up and the news articles about to come out about 100% gains this year, I really think people are going to start coming back into the market. This will of course bring more people in to the altcoin markets as well. Whenever people buy Bitcoins, they have the funds available to trade a little bit of that Bitcoin for other altcoins to diversify a little bit. This will help the altcoin market and turn it bullish also. There's no guarantees, but if past trends hold true, this is probably what's going to happen.

Yeah the hype of the halving should bring back that old investors whose already leaving to cameback because of the promising demand from the people and the supply will be more limited since the block after the halving is cutted to half. I'm sure the beginning of the crypto rising will start next year and crypto will go to the top again.

let us not ruined the Halving season.

for me there will be more than pump for altcoins but it will only for those have a good project and has uniqueness .

people here are tired of copy paste and nothing brings the investors but failure.

so for me?bear is for the shitcoins but bull is from the legit currencies.

it's likely to be still bearish but that's only in the early 2020, after the halving happened I'm sure price increases began slowly. well, for altcoin I'm sure will follow the conditions of bitcoin, it's just that it might be a little late because many investors and traders will focus on bitcoin first.

We can hope for the best from coin halving event. Last time coin halving happened in mid of 2016 and we saw massive bull run after 1.5 years of that halving. I dont think 2017 bull run has any relation with 2016 coin halving. Let's hope this coin halving bring smiles on all of our faces.

We can expect everything may happen, it may pump some alts in the market and bearish market may remains in the 2020 market because halving is not an assurance for us to expect the market of btc and alts to go in bull and hit the ATH again. Everything may happen let us observe and make the best decision in the market condition.

It can still be bearish as long as there are no news or event that will break this season. But news this days are also hard to believe with, let's just hope that the market will soon to recover as many hopes to experience another bull run that we were unable to experience for quite long. A pump in bitcoin as halving approaching can be seen but I doubt if it will be available in some other popular altcoins.

I believe that with the halving event there is definitely a pump for bitcoin and other altcoins and I look at the history before the first halving, and with this halving will show even greater pumping because market demand is increasing.
2020 will be the best moment and the real bullrun will come and don't expect to be bearish again.
Stay positive.

I dont think that the bitcoin halving will have a change in store for altcoins.  Honestly I think that the price for halving is already baked into the bitcoin price.  We could very well just have a sideways bitcoin year which would probably make alts stagnate as well.  I think 2021 is the year when the low bitcoin block reward will have effect on price and if enough new money comes in, we see a significant rise throughout crypto

halving is awaited moment for profit but can't be ascertained in 2020 although the trend may occur but we still can't sure bullrun in 2020 ,hopefully the bearish season will end soon in this stagnant condition so that is a bullrun pump on the crypto market sure occurs if this conditions for the end of year there are positive movements

If bitcoin halving occurs and makes the price of bitcoin rise, then altcoins will also go up in price. Because of the movement of the price
of altcoins will follow the bitcoin price movements. It means that the bearish market has ended in 2020. Let us all welcome the bullish
market in 2020, which I expect will last until 2021. I am very optimistic about predictions that in 2020 the bearish market will end.

All eyes on bitcoin halving that is coming up next year. There are mixed predictions that coin halving may or may not have any impact on bitcoin price. My guess is that coin halving wont have much impact but any such statement " President Xi Says China Should ‘Seize Opportunity’ to Adopt Blockchain (https://www.coindesk.com/president-xi-says-china-should-seize-opportunity-to-adopt-blockchain)" can break bitcoin bearish streak.

You don't seem to understand the dynamics of coin supply and Bitcoin being the index of all cryptocurrencies. Anyway, the halving will half the new coins produced and will effectively make the existing circulating supply more rare.

We saw too much burns in this year so I personally never expected the dump again the marketplace. Then we gonna see the halving effect next year. This growth will give the good bump again like last time we found in the halving time.

I look at a glance at my technical analysis for the long term in the 1 week time frame that there are already bullish indications for bitcon, of course it illustrates what will happen in 2020.  well of course if that happens yes maybe Altcoin BTC pairs will fall, but I think altcoin will go up with the Fiat pair.  and as time goes by of course Altcoin the BTC pair might not continue to fall with the BTC partner, I'm still sure Altcoin still has hope to get back up again.

Halving can make thins go to higher levels but I doubt the bear market will continue further. The end of the bear market is near, it is matter of time to see a bull market. The crypto investors will surely invest more if the bear market ends in the next years.

Halving can, as long as it can bring FOMO to the bitcoin and the whole of cryptocurrency market. when the halving come and there will be so many bad news in the market and the trend will be automatically turned into the bearish trend.
The bear market can come anytime and we can't even say if the end of bear market is near us. Just try to remind you last year so many people have been saying if this year the bearish market already ended but the fact that happening right now the bearish market is still going on even with so many FOMO news that comes from the crypto development.

We can't give a strong conclusion because we know how volatile we are and besides, halving will come sooner which everyone is expecting for its positive results. May the trend is different but I can't say that we are able to soar high and reach for another peak. Love to see it around $15k if halving may have a good impact.

If in 2020 Bitcoin is pumped, I think sooner or later, altcoin will also be pumped. But not all altcoins are pumped, only some of the altcoins in the top coinmarket will be pumped and most of the remaining altcoins will die in 2020. Because those altcoins do not help this market and most are scam projects

Surely in 2020 there will be a pump for the market, especially bitcoin, some altcoins will also follow to be pumped for most altcoins, I also don't know, but if there is a pump, then what I know is that the whole market will grow green.
But it is true that there are still some partial projects that are only a purpose of fraud so it will not last long to be in the market.

We don't know what will happen in the future so we just need to be prepared, if the market will keep on going up or if its go much deeper. And predicting on what will happen and analyzing the market will help you become more positive and could give you a lot of time to accumulate more since you thinking about it.

And halving could change everything in market and bitcoin could rise up its value after a couple of months, and we don't yet what will happen on altcoins but some of them could spike high.

Bitcoin halving will definitely defeats all the altcoins because people must be have so much demand on bitcoin and leaving altcoins for a while.
Maybe it will need more than months for altcoin recover after the bitcoin price pump, but i'm sure there will be a time for altcoins recovery after a big drops later.

You are right halving alone will not help the Bitcoin to increase its price, many people don't have a high expectation at the time of halving. In the coming year, the price of Bitcoin will surely decrease and will start increasing its price with positive movement from the China adaptation of the block chain.

some altcoins have to gain another level of trust from their community and get other new investors, but unfortunately many are disappointed by the Altcoin project team to the community so it seems like many Altcoin will die because they no longer have popularity, so they will race to find their popularity again by spending money, if not they will lose popularity and their Altcoin prices will still be thrown away cheaply everyone will switch, this is why many long-dead Altcoins suddenly come back to life, do you realize it's that they are back looking for their popularity before halving 2020

You're somehow right but base on the occasion that usually happen in the crypto market when it halving year some altcoin which currently hold the top 10 slot on capital market will loose there rank to another higher supported altcoin in the market next year and the market will experience some slightly bear market before bullrun.

Have to expect for the pump? Maybe we are and most of us here are being optimistic for the next year and that is why most of us are currently hold their coins. Halving could be some reason why, and it helps to encourage us to be strong and patiently wait for the bull to come. Though we can't think of another 2017 trend hopefully at least we could see it moving high a little bit.

Many people are been open-minded for the possibilities of the big pump happen since there are so many articles spread which gives a positive approach with the upcoming event but let's just see since I think each year have different highlights since maybe we can see another good ATH or we will see a big upset since for sure many people are waiting for what will be the result to come when block halving came.

Yep, because obviously almost all altcoins are based on Bitcoin pairing.

And that's how altcoins investors do, they shift their funds around. So it they see the Bitcoin is making a good run, they will suddenly move all their altcoins to take profits. I'm still positive that the block halvening will somewhat bring positive effects on the market in 2020. For majority of us, this the event that we've all been waiting for because it could bring another massive growth for the all whole market.

logically, when the supply decreases, it should affect the price. but that doesn't happen with bitcoin already on the market. they have enough supplies. but when bitcoin demand can increase, I think prices will increase. but if there is no increased demand it will be the same as that of LTC.

This is not a prediction, but i believe halving will bring good things to bitcoin and altcoin. As long we are not wrong to pick altcoin that we invested, so nothing to worry about our investment. Risk will always come, but sometime there are some altcoins that follow bitcoin price especially when bitcoin price pumped.

Well it will most likely be more advantageous to bitcoin since a lot of people have been looking forward to 2020 halving. Money would probably pour mostly on btc with  a few to some top alts. Though all of is are just speculating here of course. This year has been a good year for both btc and some so i won't consider 2019 as bearish. Though with major news like the upcoming halving, things might just work out great for crypto next year.

I compare historically, where the December period in 2015 ($ 367) -2016 ($ 762) -2017 ($ 19,000) has always increased, Halving previously appeared in 2016 and we can assume the price of bitcoin next year will be at least higher than the year this. History is not always accurate, but speculation can be measured from existing charts. It seems very plausible if speculators put a lot of pressure on the price of bitcoin this year and expect a precise real reversal in overly saturated market conditions.

I have an attitude "If you are positive about something then it will be a positive output." I am really positive with bitcoin and at least the top alts will make a great positive impact on the world and will grow like anything in 2020. We have a great opportunity in Bitcoin halving.

My hopes are high towards bitcoin halving comes next year. After the bitcoin halving, we'll be able to dictate and know the altcoin that will wax strong in cryptosphere. So many unknown altcoin will skyrocket after the halving which they're all waiting for

I believe that in 2020, only Bitcoin and the top altcoins will increase in price. The current market is still in a crisis phase so there will be no bull market here in 2020. And I'm only interested in Bitcoin and investing in it, the current altcoin is not the right time for investment, its price will certainly still drop a lot of times in 2020

The bitcoin market will move higher and if you are seeing a huge rally in bitcoin after the halving then it is hard to think that the alt coin too will rise according to the bitcoin price rise because majority will sell of their alt coins and invest in bitcoin and will try to ride the rally and then once it bubbles off then the possibility of an alt coin rise is possible like we saw in the past, but these are just mere speculation and anything can happen in a market.

I observed that most altcoins increased in dollar prices when bitcoin is moving up. But a long bull run means disaster for altcoins. And many are expecting a long bull run on bitcoin next year primarily due to halving. I would probably sell my altcoins once bitcoin starts a massive price increase.

Yes, that's what I would be doing as altcoin will go through a bloodbath as one the bull run starts for bitcoin by default the users will shift their funds towards bitcoin and not sure if altcoin will ever recover but if we notice whenever the value of bitcoin increases the value of altcoin increases as well. I think we need to be cautious and on our toes to make the right move.

Yeah, it seems the popular sentiment is overwhelmingly bearish. This week alone the Crypto Fear and Greed index still remains a moderately strong bearish sentiment across popular channels. https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/#fng-history

I'm inclined to be bearish as well but fully well know that nowadays could be the best buying opportunity.

We all are aware of bitcoin halving and most of the users are discussing about a possible bitcoin pump post halving which might or not not give pump to the value of altcoins. So do you think halving will provide openings for altcoins with a pump or altcoins will continue to be bearish in 2020?
Anything that could happen, we should be ready. Because i see some people said that even halving not really make bitcoin pumped. But i still believe at least bitcoin and top 10 CMC coin will be pumped. But i only hold bitcoin and Ethereum right now. Not focus on other altcoins.

altcoin will follow the development of bitcoin prices, and of course, it will come with the pump. if we see a dominant price increase this year, it also makes a good effect on altcoin even though it's not that big. if halving makes bitcoin prices higher, I think altcoin prices will also pump up and end the bear market. Besides that, the other important thing is, not only halving will support the 2020 price improvement, but also ethereum 2.0, I think it will make Altcoin quality better.

I have the opposite thought, by 2020 bitcoin will not decline. A vibrant future of the cryptocurrency market with outstanding events.  Over the past year, the Beijing government has announced that it wants to make China the first country to issue its own cryptocurrency based on the Bitcoin-like transaction confirmation model. This will affect the development of cryptocurrencies.

I think if China made a crypto, it might have an effect but for this one I don't think it will affect much on bitcoin. because in the context China made not support bitcoin, and maybe the crypto could be controlled by the Chinese government. therefore, what you say in my opinion is not enough to convince that bitcoin will have the potential of pumping next year

Bitcoin's trading volume is declining which is expected when the price is in a consolidation mode. Once buyers and sellers reach a trading equilibrium, the next price move will dictate whether the uptrend continues or reverses.

Volume decline happens as the falling wedge pattern is being completed (weekly).

The long bull market for BTC means a long bear market for the altcoins until BTC price becomes stable at one point. The altcoins follow the BTC price and the reaction of altcoin happens quicker, this depend on the few variables: The investors sell altcoins and they invest this amount to BTC. Or fresh money enters the crypto markets and this money directly goes to the BTC market.
so, when could Bitcoin become stable at one point?
Instead of Bitcoin is a high volatile class asset. I am just curious what you mean by "stable"

In other hand, I agree that Bitcoin movement can trigger altcoin. in this time, BTC up alt down, BTC down alt down.
but it isn't always like that, look at early 2018. BTC up alt up. that's in altseason

all we need is altseason to get altcoin pump. that's all

When everyone in this market expects the market to grow in 2020, I have the opposite thought, this market will never be easy for many people to get profits like that. In 2020 BTC will be halving and I believe that the price of bitcoin will not change much, even its price will drop lower than it currently, this market only grows when everyone loses hope and leaves it

I suspect 2020 will see a return to more bullish sentiment. We had that huge bear market, but it bottomed out in Ferbruary. Since then we've had a partial recovery, and recently relative stability with a bit of a fall. Remember we bounced back strongly the last time a support line was tested. I think that market confidence is slowly returning now, and halving and ETH 2.0 should help to increase that confidence, too.

Optimisim is good but at this point we need critical observation and deduction not to be disappointed, because  in my view nothing much should be expected even at the first half of the year 2020, a better expectation towards the end of 2020 and the real deal at 2021. It doesn't mean for anyone who is consistent you won't make anything reasonable in 2020. But not much difference from 2019.

A lot of analysis and speculation in 2020. Maybe it will be the rise of altcoin if the price of Bitcoin is stable and the dominance of bitcoin decreases, giving space for altcoin to recover prices quickly.
bull or bearish can happen at any time, maybe the peak will be known when the BTC halving takes place, which will happen several more.

As of now, the market is not matured and it seems there is a huge chance for Bitcoins, altcoins to decrease their prices. If we compare at the beginning, of the Bitcoin price, now the price of Bitcoin is already doubled in the market. So we might see more improvements in the coming year.

The first half of 2020 might be volatile as well and the price will move in a range bound for the most part and the halving is expecting to happen on May 2020 if i am not wrong and we might not see a gradual rise in the price and i am expecting the same market movement which we used to see in the past and these expectation are for optimal conditions, if there is a economic slowdown in the next one year and then it might affect the rally we are expecting and hence there are many factors to take into account.

I think so, 2020 to the middle will be a prolonged bearish, I hope the economy and community understanding of crypto can be increased so that it has a positive impact with a good response and understanding of the crypto system itself, I assume that the decline in the altcoin rate today in addition to the new year factor where everyone needs money for a vacation is the amount of negative feedback and the large number of countries / communities that make their own tokens to apply to their system regardless of how the crypto itself works. So they make an influence that altcoin is not good, and they require to use new altcoin which is realistic.

That's the question we cannot ascertain the answer.
I just hope it will not be bearish that year as it's been 2 years already that the crypto market are bearish, especially the altcoins.

I think Libra is a big game changer, it will promote crypto and more people knowing crypto, it would create more hype when there's some good news that once again people love to speculate.

also halving is a big thing, so it could be bullish.

well, I just hope that next year will be a bullish year or the opposite of this year.

I think it would have an impact as well. Though the main highlight would be on bitcoin but may be price changes may directly affect altcoins as well. Besides we aren't still sure when pump would happen yet, and in addition pumps aren't happening directly when halving did happened. It takes for about a year when bullrun starts to triggered.

As the expected Bitcoin halving will happen in the year 2020, we are all expecting that the price of Bitcoin will now experience a pump after a long run of getting into downfall. In relation to that, we also know that Bitcoin is the most popular and powerful cryptocurrency of all time that is why most of the existing Altcoins in the market depends or based their price ranges into Bitcoin. Better think of it, if Bitcoin after having the halving in year 2020, will be expected to get into pump or a rise up in terms of price, then possibly Altcoins that depends on Bitcoin will surely be uplift by that scenario. So I think Altcoins will also be provided of an expected pump and not a bearish attitude as the year 2020 enters our calendar as soon as the after effect of the expected Bitcoin halving takes into place making the market soon to rise up once again.

Quite true. We can't have an ATH every year, and we can't expect continuous upwards growth - as the chaos of 2018 demonstrated. Bitcoin and good alts still have just as much potential as they ever did, and I am confident that we will see new ATHs at some point in the future - but until that happens we need to be patient and get used to the cyclic bull/bear nature of the market - which is true of any market, but just more extreme in crypto. 2019 was marked mostly by the partial recovery. Perhaps in 2020 market confidence will continue to grow.

The focus in 2020 is more on bitcoin but other altcoin may enjoy some ride. The bull run could kick off but the market is still under some observation on its movement, anything below $5k could be critical and extend the bear market but ATM it seem a lot of fund is holding the price and it is well managed. There are still more interest in possible dump in the market to acquire more by whales, maybe the miners are selling but that is the most unwise decision at this market state. This can only come from stupid miners but we now have richer miners than ever with investors mindset and can wait longer without considering the cost. The rally will increase toward May, 2020 and could hit new ATM after the halving but we cant see the peak of it next year. Then some fund could go to altcoins with prospect and liquidity, and I feel new projects might enjoy the ride than the old with price manipulation and attraction to investors that always want quick profits.

no one knows about it but in fact until now many new altcoins are coming to welcome 2020 later, it looks like they want to make a profit there, I'm still not sure the bearish market will end for new altcoins next year, except old altcoins may be excluded because of some old altcoins always following the price of bitcoin

Well, everyone here is sure no one will deny that the value of bitcoin has risen quite well this year and for altcoin, it's a relative return, investors have been quite active and preparing for a great new year but this market will have many stories each year, and these factors will affect capitalization and value, even if we are more aggressive in prediction, market trends still do not follow the positives. Therefore, what will happen in 2020?, The value and trend of the market will be positive or negative, unable to use words and prediction to imagine, waiting is enough

no one knows about it but in fact until now many new altcoins are coming to welcome 2020 later, it looks like they want to make a profit there, I'm still not sure the bearish market will end for new altcoins next year, except old altcoins may be excluded because of some old altcoins always following the price of bitcoin
My take on this is the next halving will give a boost of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but it won't happen yet in 2020. So there's a possibility that next year would be bloody red in terms of prices to most altcoins while some of it are either dead already.

2019 is a year of growth for Bitcoin, The price of Bitcoin has gone from 3500$ and has risen to 14000$ this year, Maybe compared to 2017, the current market is lower, but compared to 2018 it is much higher much. I predict that the price of Bitcoin will grow in 2020 and it will reach ATH again by mid 2020
Hope you remember that the halving happens in mid 2020 and i am in this market for a very long time and have seen rallies in the past, after halving you might not see a huge rally, i will take sometime to gain that momentum and hence the point is that even if the market did not rally right after halving you cannot come to a negative conclusion as it might take another year to have a rally that could touch the old all time high valuation or even break that a look for a new all time high valuation.

I'm hope that bitcoin halving will help crypto market get out of downtrend, but i dont think this time bitcoin grow can get altcoins get out of bear market. I'm pretty sure that more than 90% altcoin can not get out of bear market and maybe 10% altcoin left will only grow after bitcoin make new ATH few months later.

Too much to expect with 90% growth for altcoins, I might say it was only fairly increasing at 60-70% because once Bitcoin influenced the entire market, most coins could establish back a good track. Just expect an optimum development, so in time when top price happens that 90-100% will commence.

If we do the research and analysis correctly we are sure that the event halving bitcoin can make the price of altcoins go up following the price
bitcoin is going up. If we look at the history of the two halving before, we will also find the same fact that halving bitcoin can make the price of
altcoins rise again. But we also must not be too confident, because we have to think of the worst scenario. If halving bitcoin fails to make the
price of bitcoin rise, this will keep altcoins in the bearish market. So anything can happen, we really have to do a thorough preparation for halving
bitcoin. So whatever the result we are able to face it.

Halving is what we've been waiting for talks of bearish should be minimal now, not all altcoins will enjoy a pump, only coins that's proven they're worth in the market will have a good chance to get a pump, but expect many shitcoins to try to get a life again because investors are going to look for new coins to invest and some of them are going to look further in the top 100 in the list, just like what happen in the last halvings.

Most of shit coins will die and will not survive this next halving season. Some might try but investors already learned from the last market run
and will be more selective with project that they will going to support.
Future stake of this market is unpredictable the only thing you can do right now is place your money where you fully understand the project.

in the first quarter of 2020?for sure we will still see this bearishness as continuation of what we have in 2019,but in 2nd quarter i think we will start to see some changes and may take small profit in our daily activities here in forum, but in 3rd some good vibes will surely in the air because the effect of bitcoin halving will take place and we will be needing to wait for the 4th quarter as this will bring us another ATH(hopefully will come before the year ends)

I'm still trying to understand what you mean, but I'm still not sure if the bearish market is still in effect next year for bitcoin, because I think the price will increase a bit because trust is starting to return, not to the newly released Altcoin will definitely take time because it's not it will be possible for a project to be successful when released simultaneously, it takes time to become famous and get that success, let's look at it in the near future

yes, the increase has begun to appear now. but early in the year, it looks like there will be a decline happening. but the situation is hopefully the beginning of a pump. This is not a prediction but just a small analysis. because at the beginning of the year there was an update from ethereum also welcomed the update from bitcoin. I hope the pump is present this year.

I hope so as the uptrend has started but I would be convinced only if we break the barrier of $8000 again because the recent increase has hardly been a difference of a couple of hundred dollars which gets dumped later on. We need to focus on the market situation and should not be expecting too much as nothing is guaranteed over here. Don't be too quick to judge the market situation.

Well, if it will be bullish it's possible that there's a bigger growth in that year.
Bitcoin has reached $13K already this year and this year was ended not a bullish year, so what more could happen if 2020 is a bullish year.
Big possibility is that there will be a new ATH for bitcoin and the altcoins market will be alive again, that would be like 2017 scenario.

This may be possible, but there are plenty of issues and news happened already after the ATH of 2017 that make bitcoin too popular positively and also gives negative impact in other nations that brings crypto/bitcoin price declines fast after the ATH. Halving will make the price increase again but not to the extent of having a bull run again.

Well, imagine if it started at $ 7500 or $ 8,000, then thousands of percent of that would be very high.

Bitcoin is currently the safest solution at this time and if you have a good project to invest, invest now because 2020 is about to begin.

One thing I would add that in bullish market, no matter how bad coin is, it still can be pump
look at end 2017, even bulshit coin can be pump muliple. I think it would be like that again in the next bullrun
so, I just would say that *most* of coin will get pump.

I need to correct you D3nz, everything depends from the inflow, not the flow. Inflow means when new people and more money gets
in crypto-market. When inflow rise it's and indicator for demand, and that will lead to higher prices.
Cryptoangel, bull run will happen one day, but will it happen next year or the one after the next one we will see. There are many
different predictions, it's normal from us to hope that bull run will come sooner, after all most of us here hold some coins for that

It is a clear picture on what happens after halving and that is what is expected this time too, implementation of blockchain will not aide the price of bitcoin in any way, if these things should aide bitcoin then there must be something created on top of the bitcoin blockchain that will have a meaningful change in the process, if not it will not have any affect in the market valuation but halving is a monster in itself as your picture clearly shows the new issuance rate.

Bitcoin halving is too much hyped topic this year that it would make a great fortune this coming 2020 but they aren't aware that the halving effect will take some time to actually make a change in the market. They might think at this point that this price is bearish but if they look at the bottom price they might change their minds.

Remember when everyone said Bakkt was gonna be the savior of everything? And when it flopped, the whole market flopped? This will happen with halving in May if we put too much hope in it.

Draw a downtrend log line from $13,900 through $12,300 through $10,300 in weekly time frame. hasn't been broken since we reversed off the 2019 ATH. currently price is about $7,300. If we break above $7,800 that and hold above it, most would consider that a reversal of the bear market. thereby, I think we aren't yet out of the bear market. although I hope it happen in the next couple of weeks or months by appearing a consistent pattern of more buyers than sellers in addition to healthy levels of market liquidity. I do sometimes day trading between altcoins to increase my BTC stack for when the next bull market is in play.

If Bitcoin follows Litecoin trend after halving, then we could say that Bitcoin will fall into a death spiral and bear market will continue, the situation may be even worse when this happens!

We can not predict how the market in 2020, but i'm surely know that there always few months bearish and few months bullish in each year. So do not try to predict how 2020 will happen, all you have to do is choose a good coins and wait for next bullish time.

Price ups and downs are normal matter in crypto as volatile is the nature of it, and after so many experiences we can not expect only bull run in any year. So, of course, in 2020, there will be a bear season and the bull run too! But I think 2020 gonna be better than in 2018 and 2019! Because there are many things may happen in the new year that can change the whole crypto atmosphere! Bitcoin halving, Facebook's Libra are the main among them!

bitcoin is the mother of all cryptocurrency, if bitcoin fall into death, im sure litecoin, ethereum etc will be nothing.
how about bitcoin miner? they will shutdown his machine and start buy bitcoin

Right now there is so much speculating around the coin halving that is coming in mid of next year. If you are looking for bitcoin ATH next next year then chances are it may be another bearish year. There will be many more opportunities in coming year that will give you good opportunities to book profit.
I really want to be wrong but I believe the next year is going to be bearish as well, it seems that for the majority of the investors the halving has become as a kind of saviour of the market that will correct the price immediately and start a bull market, and markets very rarely have movements like that, even the small bull run that we had during this year started in a very slow manner and it was not until April when it became clear we were seeing a bull market.

No one knows the future! We just can speculate and predict things in crypto. So,  As we can see much good news is already set to come in 2020, so, I don't think 2020 will be a bearish year. We may see a dump market for a while, but I hope overall the coming new year will be positive for crypto!

in my opinion if bitcoin goes up, at halving later, altcoin will go up too, so it is very likely that altcoin in 2020 will be bullish as in the previous year when bitcoin was bullish, altcoin will be bullish too
if bitcoin can achieve it then altcoin can pump too, now altcoin is more dependent on bitcoin prices and this is one of the reality. we have to wait for the bitcoin pump first to reach the aim of the altcoin pump next, but I'm sure bitcoin needs a large pump to make the altcoin pump

It will not be a bearish year and we can take bitcoin halving as the best example for the news that can bring crypto to the bullish trend. the more news will come as in the future there will be official digital currencies from the government and this has much possibility to create a correlation to the cryptocurrency. If some dev able to develop gateway toward it and i believe crypto will always have a bright future for sure.

Unlikely.

Firstly you got the bitcoin halving coming up, which has historically meant that markets are bullish for at least a year after the event. BTC being bullish will also drag the rest of the market up along with it, analogous to how a rising tide floats all boats.

Then you got the ETH hard fork, which could turn out to be a positive development. It's not guaranteed, but I do think that it could have potential to affect the entire alt market positively.

Historically, the heat of the bull run hasn't come until a few months after the halving. There's usually a slight price increase leading up to the halving and then it really starts to take off from there. That trend has held true so far with the price 100% this year. I really think that history will hold true and we will really start to see this thing take off after the halving in a few months.

There are some positive moments in this year and it will surely help the altcoin to increase their prices because after Bitcoin halving it might take another three or four-month to increase the price of Bitcoin. ETH hard fork will also help the altcoin to increase their prices promptly.

I think 2020 will see a return to bullish sentiment across the market. We have been fighting price drops for a long time now, but each time we do bounce back some. Most important I think was the bitcoin recovery to back over $7k. This should help to increase confidence and to move us back into bull territory. Will we see new ATHs? Maybe for bitcoin, but probably not for alts as they have so much more ground to recover, but I do think we will see alt prices considerably higher than now.

Just like the recent year 2017 we just have to see if the money will go through the altcoins after bitcoin pumps because it offers such a higher opportunity to make our money doubled in the spot trading which is also a good thing than to risk on a big fluctuations when bitcoins price starts to pump.

2020 is going on and this is a very good opportunity for you to look for some new investment opportunities because I believe that this year the market will have many big changes and if you are considering investing, you should do right now. Coins like ethereum, litecoin, ripple and some few unpopular ones are going to follow bitcoin in its bull run which is going to start shortly.

You must be optimistic about future market price growth. It is unfortunate if you can leave crypto because the price has continued to decline in the last two years. people who believe in future market price growth, of course at this time or when the market price is still low, of course they can make good use of this moment to be able to invest more in it.

if the bear market still lasts for three years in a row then that would be the beginning of the collapse of the crypto and yeah it could be a say goodbye. but this is just the beginning of the year and I think the bear market will end soon in the year.

Once bitcoin resume its bullish sentiment this year definitely major altcoins would also pumps I likened all the major altcoins as a sleeping giant waiting for a catalyst that would pump it up which is obviously bitcoin thus I foresee a replica of 2017 unfolds once bitcoin resume its bullish sentiment probably after the halving later in the year

Halving is a period of consolidation to see the direction of reversal.

The only thing that occurred to me was not destruction, because there was still another year to see the major movements. we are still at the beginning of the first quarter, my assumption is that there will still be a decline in April due to the influence of annual expectations. But what followed was a reversal of direction accompanied by a series of positive developments.

Where bitcoin leads, alts will follow. There is a lot of speculation that halving will lead to price increases, and an argument that halving has already been factored into the current prices. Whilst I agree that it may have already been priced in to an extent, the fact remains that this does mark a fundamental change to the availability of new coins, and should act as an ongoing price driver rather than simply a one-off event to factor in. With this in mind, I do believe that bitcoin price will increase following halving, irrespective of whether or not everyone already thinks it will happen.

I suspect that 2020 will come back to a more bullish feeling. We had this huge bear market, but in Ferbruary it bottomed out. Since then, with a bit of a crash, we have had a partial recovery, albeit relatively stable recently. Note that the last time a support line was checked we bounced back strongly. I believe that market trust is now slowly returning, and halving and ethereum two should also help to increase that trust.
This year, investor sentiment will be better because this is the year that is expected to be the best development year of the crypto market, but in order to do this, investors need to have faith in altcoins.

I think it will all be a matter of time and I am sure the market will start to rebound in February or March as this is a very good time for some coins to begin to grow.

Again, that halving should hype the market, otherwise I don't see any possible reason why the market should be bullish again.

Well, there might be some big surprises that we don't know yet, so let's just wait and see.

We can't be so certain of what will happen this year, bullish people would say bitcoin will  have a new ATH while bearish will say bitcoin will drop to $1,000.
in the end, one of them is correct.

That cannot be denied, bearish market was raging against what was undergone last 2019. Nobody could predict the entire outcome, because the scenario of cryptocurrency was still unpredictable. Generally the expectations of halving is a good impressions, hopefully it will gain a positive results sooner.

This is the year where bitcoin is halving already and lots of us are expecting that it would help bitcoin get pumped already and together with that, altcoins might be affected with it too, we just still don't know if it will give out a positive outcome or not. Knowing that halving would occur, there should be a higher probability of seeing the crypto market recover again. No matter what may happen, it would be best if we are going to set up a back up plan if ever things wouldn't go the way you want it to so that you can avoid possible casualties or atleast lessen the loss.

100 times after this bearish market might be hard to achieve, and I am happy if people would think like that as they will be realistic and will more careful when investing. The problem will come when we think we think we can easily turn our money to x100 as we could be victims of scam easily, or the ponzi schemes, reaching at that level needs time for us to wait, it should be for a long term and when we talk of long term, this includes surviving even when the market is struggling to rise.

trade wars always carry a strong tendency for gold, in this case several times I have seen sentiment not move towards bitcoin, certainly the bearish cycle will still color every quarter of this year. However, there are two interesting things that China and Iran have their own crypto-related plans. If the trade war continues and is very influential on fiat, then these two countries might take part in Halving's momentum with several steps related to the exchange between stable coin and btc.

I think this is unlikely.  because when the bitcoin price increases, the alts will also increase, because the alts paired with bitcoin.  Besides, the increase in bitcoin means the market capitalization is increasing.  thus the capital will be divided equally among alts and will make the whole market grow.

Why do you think that the capital will be divided equally among all alts? How did you come up with that idea? What you tried to explain is very complicated, alts are not paired only with bitcoin, now we have alts paired with stable coins, alts paired with other alts. When Bitcoin price goes up. it's not pulling all alts up, some of them lose their value to BTC. Crypto market capitalization is increasing, there's no doubt in that, but that capital inflow will be toward bitcoin and ethereum, and many other alts, but not all of them. Some alts are going to zero, some alts are going to new ath.

Today US and IRAN is having some massive issue

It actually pushed Bitcoin price up to $7,300
Same towards Gold, Japanese Yen

Thus you know, Bitcoin does really have this "safe heaven" effect when global economic went uncertain

This is the case with bitcoin and the market is matured and we might see a slow rally once the investment starts pouring in after the halving but that cannot be said about the altcoin market and it is because of the so called maturity you mentioned as there is nothing interesting in those coins or projects so that we can see a huge investment coming in the market for these alts but as a speculative market we might see a rally, so not much expectation in that.

The whole ecosystem is rely on Bitcoin halving ecosystem which will happen this year so we can see some excitement like the past. There are so many expectation from this year so that I also think this year the whole market will perform much better as compare with last year.

Everyone really hopes that in 2020 bitcoin and other cryptocurrency will improve again and repeat history in 2017, I think now more and more people are experiencing despair, so they seem to lose confidence in the cryptocurrency price that continues to deteriorate in the market, hopefully Later Halving Day will be a new start for bitcoin and other altcoins to develop and return to people's choice as an investment asset.

I think you are reading the situation correctly, but most people are not doing the same, they think that as soon as the halving takes effect that is going to be enough to push the prices up and I find that very unlikely, what we are going to see is a slight increase in the price of bitcoin after the halving but it will not be anything that we can consider to be a bull run, the bull run will not appear until 2021 at the soonest and that is great because we will have a lot of time to accumulate bitcoins.

This year is the year to purify all altcoins because lots of coins are becoming shitcoin in this sector so you don't have to spend time learning because it will only make you more frustrated. At the moment, Bitcoin is the cheapest option and if you have a good investment opportunity, invest now as 2020 is about to start. Personally, I have great confidence in this market next year because this is the year all investors are waiting to join this risky market and will certainly attract a lot of new investors.
if market conditions improve and there is also a bull run there will certainly be many new investors coming to invest, the most important thing to attract new investors is favorable market conditions because they will be interested in these conditions.

Of course, it will all depend on how the condition of bitcoin in 2020, because as far as I know bitcoin still dominates altcoin price movements, so when bitcoin prices usually fall altcoin prices will also experience the same thing, and vice versa when bitcoin prices go up tends to altcoin will follow the price increase, so, we hope that the price of bitcoin on 2020 will be better than the previous-year, so that it will encourage altcoin prices to increase as well.

There is a chance that it might pumped up bitcoin's price this year's 3rd to 4th quarter and also has the dame chance that it will not because after the halving the effect that we are expecting will not be visible right away and it will take months before we see it and also there are some events that can add to bitcoin's pump which is big companies like samsung and more are considering bitcoin and crypto in their projects so i think that it will still continue on bearish until late this year

The long bull market of Bitcoin means a long altcoin bear market until the price of BTC is stable at one point. The altcoins follow the price of the BTC, and the reaction of altcoin occurs more rapidly, which depends on the few variables including investors selling altcoins and converting their money to BTC.
BTC will be the motivating factor why the market will be bullish, if last year, btc were able to break its ATH, we might see a new ATH and this market will be bullish again, it would happen easily as the FOMO is going to happen same in the past.

So fresh money joins the crypto markets and it goes directly to the BTC market. So we're probably going to see a big price rise next year. Hopefully to the new all time high

Indeed, that's what FOMO do, fresh money coming and they'll regret once the market corrects.

I dont think so it will be bearish, i am expecting rise in market  and it may be or may not be bullish as it will depend on whales or market setters. But i think crypto awareness should grow rather just going after pumps and dump as it will automatically increase the price.

it is likely that will happen in late 2020, for the beginning and the middle of this year, I think the conditions will still be the same as last year. and the big whales might not pump prices in the middle of this year, but I'm sure this year is a good year for crypto.

But are they really the investors we want in this market, most of those investors will come to this market with the idea to make money, and while there is nothing wrong with that as soon as the market conditions change they will leave since they do not believe in the technology in the same way we do, most people want to see another bull run like what we saw in 2017 but I am against it not because I do not want to obtain those profits but because after that bull run we will see another massive crash.

Recent days have shown us signals that the downward trend has reversed and that bulls are attacking. Still, it can't be said with certainty that the bear market is over. We have to wait for the train to slow down and see if the correction will be small and the price will continue to rise, or it was a classic bull trap, and the price will go back to $7200 level

Everyone believes that Bitcoin will bring Crypto to the moon, but I don't see that happening in this year, even though Halving will happen in this year. People believe that at the moment of Halving, they predict if after Halving the price of Bitcoin is still in the Bearish trend then there's no need to say anything, the Bearish trend will continue.

The bearish trend that we are seeing for altcoins is without a doubt going to continue because there is no reason for it to change, if bitcoin goes down then obviously altcoins are going to go down, but if bitcoin goes up then it means that many people are selling their altcoins in order to get bitcoin, and even if the price of altcoins goes up slightly its value is going down compared to bitcoin so I predict that 2020 is going to be a very difficult year for altcoins as well.

It still cannot be predicted about the altcoin year or the altcoin season this year because it still tends to decrease when the market is red.
But now it is difficult for altcoin to follow in the footsteps of bitcoin because only the highest altcoin and its low altcoin will not follow like that so certain altcoins will rise to follow bitcoin.
Bullrun will come but will not make altcoin like 2017.

What kind of fresh money do you expect from the rest of the population who have no idea about investing, crypto definitions? The big guys control the market however they want and the time in their favour beside patient investors. Probably, 2020 crypto news will change the mentioned variables after the investors become more experienced and knowledgeable.

Maybe or not because it's all a prediction and the market is hard to identify the next trend. I think instead of anticipating, you should choose to invest in some good coins to make a profit because this year is still a favorable year for everyone. Now plan your investments and spend a lot of time analyzing because I believe the market will still increase in the near future.

Of course, I don't decide for you when investing, but consider carefully because the crypto market is still being manipulated and a lot of investments can make you disappointed if the bear market continues.

We all are aware of bitcoin halving and most of the users are discussing about a possible bitcoin pump post halving which might or not not give pump to the value of altcoins. So do you think halving will provide openings for altcoins with a pump or altcoins will continue to be bearish in 2020?
No, 2020 is looking good so far both on Bitcoin and Altcoin. I hate to say this but damn these pumps on altcoin has been amazing. Almost every altcoin is pumping right now. So yeah it definitely is a good sign for bullish 2020. A new high for Bitcoin and alts could be realized within a year or two it looks like.

Yeah it's looks like just a bull trap, now the price of Bitcoin is breaking again from $ 8,000 and I'm sure the Bearish market is still continuing. I am just waiting for the Halving moment in the middle of this year, if the market remains in the Bearish then it's difficult for Bitcoin or Altcoin to enter the Bullish market.
The massive bull run usually starts some months after the halving, not right after the halving. So even if the market is still bearish this year, it doesn't rule out the post-halving bullrun years after it in my opinion.

looking at market now seems favoring your first question, that altcoins are having pumps before halving happens.

checking the market https://coinmarketcap.com/ is very good for all investors either Bitcoin or altcoin because there is no signs that we are nearing to Bearish market again, and now Bitcoin is trying to Break the $9000 value to make another Hype before May of this year and before the second quarter in which expected to full the trigger of Bullmarket.

I can see that this will be a good year for cryptocurrency and a huge increase of value in Bitcoin and some of the altcoins will surely follow up once BTC price is is rally for going up.  And we all know that a lot of happenings last year and we experience a major down fall within the price of all crypto especially BTC.

And i think it is really worth it to HODL a BTC since it is really good for long term investment even thou there is a lot of analyzation it will go down again.

in a certain period, I guess that will happen. The stability of the growth of bitcoin and altcoin will occur in a balanced manner, but it will not always be like that when the market has become the control of bitcoin. We've seen it in the past year and it is bad for altcoin.

Total crypto marketcap in 2019 increased from $125 to $191 Billion and is now at $238

Nah,, 2020 is going to be a good year for the market, (bitcoin and altcoins) because this year we are going to see major changes and the price recovery is going to happen, halving is one of the big reason why it's going to happen, that's why I believe and I mark it in the stone.

Why would I think that 2020 is going to be bearish again?

Nah,, 2020 is going to be a good year for the market, (bitcoin and altcoins) because this year we are going to see major changes and the price recovery is going to happen, halving is one of the big reason why it's going to happen, that's why I believe and I mark it in the stone.
2020 is predicted to be very good if you choose to invest but need to think before making a decision because not every coin can bring you good profits. In fact, altcoin season has always been mentioned in recent months but until now, this has not happened and we will certainly have to wait for some more time. Of course, 2020 will be a good year for you to invest in top 100 coins or new potential projects.

Finally, 2020 is not bearish anymore, and the first month is passing with a green market on average! As the crypto market has some great events in this year like Bitcoin halving and Eth 2.0, there should be a huge boost up in the whole crypto industry! And I believe within July, the crypto market condition will be far better than now!

If 2020 is going to be bearish it will all be on altcoins but many altcoins already lose 95% of their value so what's left? If bear market continues many altcoins will die very painful death but it doesn't look like that's going to happen

Possibly, but not for bitcoin because bitcoin will definitely grow more in value due to the halving and its popularity that keeps growing everyday, to avoid this its better to put 70% of your money in bitcoin and the rest 30% in altcoins
Is it even possible to call the current market trend as bear, the market is recovering after a long bear run and i am expecting the entire market to move forward in this year, i meant top coins in the market, the shit coins are dead and dusted and i am not expecting a return and that is the case with token projects as they will die off eventually. The halving will boost the bitcoin market along with its fork coins and then after that we might see a huge rally considering how the market moved during the past halving.

I don't see how OP even considers 2019 to be that bearish. The price of Bitcoin went from a little over $3,000 to finishing over $7000. I would actually call that the start of a bull run. If this continues throughout this year, which there's no indication it will with the halving and all happening, then no I don't see a bearish market in 2020. More than likely it will be the complete opposite and we'll hopefully end up in a full blown bull market this year.

I also think the previous year was not bad for Bitcoin. I think most people are disappointed that Altcoins prices have not moved at all and are at the bottom. However, I think that after halving there will be a bull run, which will also involve Altcoins prices. If growth does not start before halving, then it must definitely happen in the second half of this year. I think that at the end of this year we will all be very happy.

yes altcoin has been down so much in past two year. But it doesnt mean that it cant be lower
The bottom is zero, even when altcoin is down 99%, that still can be lower with 99x%
It depends on how good coin is, if the coin is good then it wont get lower. Good coin still has good demand from their investor and community
My reason to not bearish again is market cycle, the market has passed bearish which will continue with bullish. Just be patience to wait

As simple as that, right? Seeing almost cryptocurrency price movement right now are increased. Bitcoin for example, ,last year its price just touch $7000 for the high price but now its price is arround $8500 and seem like it will ne the lower price because if see the sentiment market it is really impossible to down below $8000. In other hand, if we see the history of bitcoin price there will be dump if at the early year it is price decreased and otherwise the price will be higher then the privously year when at the early year it is price increased.

That correction is normal, and we have to accept that.

Market will fall, market will rise, that's the norms that we should get used to, but at the same time, we have to be optimistic as well that this year will be bullish so we will beat the last two years of bearish market, to hold until now means we have survive and those who survive has to enjoy the real reward which is the bull market.

Halving have to be in May, and the bull run always comes a few months after this event. So we can expect that if not the whole year, most of it will be bearish. It is possible that, knowing the history, investors will want to buy earlier and thanks to that the price will start rising a little earlier, but in my opinion we have to wait until the end of the year.

I think 2020 is a good year to start collecting bitcoin, because bitcoin has reached its lowest point in 2019 and now bitcoin has become a rare commodity so it is certain that this will trigger price increases.
This year will be shining for the crypto markets due to the expected BTC halving, the news series will accelerate the "cooking process" anyway.

Look at a 1 year chart in something like 30 minute ticks. You'll see that the process has already begun a year ago. It's just been really slow with dips in between. People haven't even realized the slow price gain since they're coming in and out of the market so often. If you sort your chart to show 1 year of data on Tradingview, you'll see what appears to be an upward trend for the whole last year through today. This will more than likely continue. You probably won't ever see it shoot straight up, expect dips in price.

I believe that this halving will include altcoin in the pump it carries. however, we can see the demo this month. when the price of bitcoin rose to $ 9,000, the prices of BCH, BTG, and several other altcoins rose by hundreds of percent. This applies when the price of bitcoin rises higher. I think there will be some conditions where top altcoin will pump and reach an increase with the percentage of hundreds of percent the same as BCH SV.

We are talking about bearish because that's what we feel in more than a year already.
You are lucky if you are experiencing a bullish market because that simply means you are profitable.

Though we can't generalize as there are people who make money in any market situation but it's noticeable that majority are hoping for a market improvement.

It is still too early for us to assert that 2020 is a year of price increases for this market. We need to wait the next 3-4 months for the trend to become clearer, the price of bitcoin and the market have risen in the first few weeks of 2020. But until now, the price of bitcoin has been corrected and it is trading at $ 8300 and continues to show signs of going down. I personally predict that in 2020 the market will not grow so strongly, it will increase a bit and then move sideways until the end of 2020.

Don't be hundred percent optimistic. Because anytime the position of the market may change. We can't say that halving of bitcoin will be the awaited time for bull run. Though, I am also positive to that news. I treat it as impossible to happen till now. I just want to stock bitcoin so that I can sell it when it reaches even 3/4 of its ath soon.

it's better to see how what happens on a chart in the market than to make a prediction. but in determining the assets that we will have, we usually do research also do predictions. we must stay in focus not to miss the departing bull train.

of course this moment of year is expected by many people after going through a continuing crisis since the last 2 years because price movements have experienced a very drastic decline after leaving in 2017. I can realize that market prices always fluctuate and there is always an increase and decrease in market prices, but it doesn't hurt if many people speculate that there will be a sharp rise this year, and hopefully the bull will really happen this year

We're all in the same market. Look at the charts, Bitcoin is up quite a bit over the last year. So, even coins that are trading for a little less Satoshi value than they were last year are actually worth more or about the same as they were in USD. I'm not sure what projects you're in, but the ones that I have invested in are worth more than they were when I got in last year. I just don't see how you could lose money in a 100+% year.

I make assumption based on what happened in last halving, last halving made Bitcoin bull run
that's why I think Bitcoin will be bull run too in the future. and Bitcoin is the reason on altcoin moves
Bitcoin can trigger altcoin to get pump. that's the sequence of halving affects

I'm very bullish that bitcoin will surely rise the value after the halving starts and it will just go down if investor and whales will dump the BTC and it will surely affect a lot of people and it might happen like year of 2017 (Hopefully not).

And also altcoin could go up and drop if the value of BTC will keep on rising since investor will surely sell their alts if just to accumulate BTC which is very practical if you knew that it is profitable.

if bitcoin gets pump for some reason then alts will bleed even more than this because people will be accumulating btc bu dumping the alts. bitcoin halving will only be beneficial for the holders of bitcoin not the alts as it is going to limiting the supply of btc not alts..
It is obvious that the halving of bitcoin is only going to benefit bitcoin, altcoins are struggling and after many difficult years they will have to face a year in which everyone is going to be deeply interested on what the price of bitcoin begins to do and that is not good for them, because if the price of bitcoin begins to go up then most likely people are going to sell their altcoins to buy bitcoin and if the price goes down then their price will go down as well.

2020 should be bearish as well because look around you :D everyone is holding bags waiting for prices to go up.. there is nobody who wants to buy at this point. Let alone for more than $20000 which is needed for a new ATH. Sentiment of people needs way more time to reset. If you think about your friends or colelagues who know about btc, most of them bought some already, probably didn't make great money and most likely being down on it. It takes time to regain confidence after you failed with something. People need to talk themselves into being greedy again.

yeah maybe there were a short time of bear market but the majority of months will be good for all of us,since Halving season is near and also investors are coming back from 2017 resting.

look at the strong hold of $8,500-$9,000 price of bitcoin indicating the good start of the year.

I do not think that those altcoin will have a bearish market. As of now, some of the altcoin is on the bull state because it is slowly preparing for the halving that is about to happen. People tend to store or buy some bitcoin that is why the altcoins price has been effected by their demand to bitcoin. 2020 will be the day for both altcoins and bitcoin for sure.

That's right. There are indications that market will be as good as it can be. BTC and Altcoins are moving upward right now. Green market was really good to see and investors are again gaining their confidence and trust. There is no way that a bullrun can be hindered on this direction.

2018 yes, but I wouldn't really consider 2019 a bear market. The price of Bitcoin slowly continued to rise over the whole year and ended up over 100%. Altcoins weren't doing the greatest in 2019, but that's probably because most people were investing into Bitcoin in anticipation of the next run. I think once people start cashing out their profit from investing in Bitcoin at the cheap price, we'll start to see them turn to alts to make some more profit and they'll start going up as well.

2019 was not dominated by the bears, that was a positive year for bitcoin in which it doubled its price, how can you say it was dominated by the bears? This year is proving to be incredible difficult to predict, the whole first month was positive and the second month has been positive as well but I will be honest, I do not really understand why the price is going up so abruptly when the halving has not taken place and its effects should not be felt this soon.

Bitcoin always gets pump after halving so it wouldn't be bearish anymore.

do you mean btc will remain high forever  ? oh no i think thats not possible  . idk if there were already previous halving but if there are , why btc feel down after sometime  .  btc is already volatile and there are no fix for that not even halving  . 2020 is not only for halving but we are also expecting good for other cryptos  and it was happening now  .  btc and other alts like eth and ripple are now increasing slightly  . how i only wish that this will continue for a long period of time   .

Bitcoin before halving will definitely grow, but after halving, everything is mixed because Bitcoin can both grow and fall in price.

There are so many things that shows maybe 2020 will not be bearish like last year I mean we will be having BTC halving I think that alone is enough to create pickup in prices then altcoin might see some growth also especially if more project devs decide to get altcoin into circulation and some start getting used in the mainstream Am sure there will be more cryptocurrencies awareness that last year

Hopefully what you feel that cryptocurrency will begin to improve from last year, very many are expecting it. at the beginning of this month it seems that it has begun to see improvements in the movement of all tokens starting with bitcoin and of course followed by other altcoins. hoping that there will be no bearish 2020 and what bitcoin will do will certainly make it better towards the very desirable.

Bitcoin always gets pump after halving so it wouldn't be bearish anymore. Not all altcoins can follow it.
Bitcoin before halving will definitely grow, but after halving, everything is mixed because Bitcoin can both grow and fall in price.
Bitcoin is at the heart of the crypto market and with the good news coming out, the growth of bitcoin is very normal and as usual, altcoins will benefit from this, this benefit is being demonstrated very clearly when altcoins are rising too much, it does not need the developer to provide any additional good news, the pump is very random and regular in every region, everything is signaling a bull market, rather than a bear market. The start for 2020 is very nice, everything might change when bitcoin completes its mission but the high rate is without the bear market, a lot of altcoins are booming after long periods of silence

Seems to be the bearish market will continue because this year there is halving which the price of Bitcoin will fluctuate and this makes most of the altcoins will lose their value, but based on the market situations altcoin prices will start recovering. The price of Bitcoin will start losing its value.

Bitcoin halving influenced in altcoins market but why altcoins will reduce their values? Bitcoin price already increasing to high which we're expected in last year. No bearish market right now, BTC price touches new dimension as a result this affected in altcoins market. For halving and ETH will new ATH after developed ETH 0.2. Altcoins still started recovering price.

We are on the first quarter of the year and hence, market is doing good and also I agree with the Bitcoin halving, it seems like it is giving the market a boost to pump or grow in a positive way. Hopefully, this trend will continue throughout the year however we cannot deny the fact that it may also cause some spike downwards as it needs correction

You're right, halving bitcoin does give a boost to the crypto market. many altcoins are also now continuing to grow. this year begins with renewal from ethereum, and until the end of the year hopefully, the market will get stronger and continue to experience growth.

You conclude too early, haven't you seen the improvement now, bitcoin open at $7k this year and in just more than a month it already breached to $10,000. Man that would not stop there and what you are seeing is just a correction now, in every pump there's always a correction but prepare for its bounce back.. just hope bitcoin will get its new ATH this year and it's guaranteed that altcoins will pump too.

BTC has been bullish since 2018, remember the lowest low? $3200 Dec 2018? So from $3200-$10k that seems to be bullish to me.

As far as altcoin goes though, we have seen some steady growth this year alone. So they might have recovered as BTC does, but I'm sure that we will see it flourish once more when we official enter altcoin bull run, perhaps in April, prior to bitcoin block halving and till after.

Just like what we just experienced for the past day, right now, BTC went down to $9700+ So meaning to say that would be the correction, you also need to consider longers and shorters since they also have a lot of money in that kind of market.

I agree with you, the rise from $3200 to $10K looks like a bullish trend! But many altcoins are left behind, and that is what bothers many people. Some altcoins had a steady growth in the past year, but not all of them. Some of them are still going down, and for me, it's a question will they recover at all in the future. The bull run is coming, official or not I think that many altcoins will not recover, they will drop more because of better ones appeared on the crypto stage.

I don't know which price that we can say it is a bull run because we all always hope bitcoin price should go increase time by time. As have stated above me, bitcoin price had increased form its lower price but we have another expectation for bitcoin price goes up more than that. Actually, the people who have bought bitcoin at $3500 they will benefited right know because just in a few weeks they have got at least $5500, did you ever find in another place investment? The people should remember it.

I guess having a bull run depends on that person who says it. For me, it might be starting but basically in my own perception the bull run will start when I see it more than 13-15k$ WHY? I just started in late 2017 in crypto so basically, I started in the industry where the market is about to boom. I hope that you get my point on that. Basically, every day would be a good day to buy crypto whether btc or any other coins but it is on how you position yourself and as I said, perfect timing is needed.

Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) alleviates those worries about trying to time the market. You can see over the long term that BTC has consistently gone up. A weekly or monthly buy from late 2017 to now would have you looking pretty good even if your first buy was at the historic high.

I think the market is going to see a big correction soon over the next few days because the coins I know now have gone up very high over the past time and if you are not careful you will easily lose money. In my opinion, you should only choose to invest or trade in some major coins and limit your long-term holdings because the risk may occur at any time. It's right. The cryptocurrency market can no longer be called bearish. Now it has been growing quite well for a long time in price, and the events of dividing bitcoin in half will occur only in May. By this time, bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency, even with periodic correction of the exchange rate, can grow in price quite high. Yes, and the growth of the cryptocurrency market usually occurs after the division itself, and this inspires good optimism about further long-term growth.

Altcoins are showing improvement like bitcoin, it looks like 2020 is different compared to the status of alts last year wherein most coins are struggling to recover. However we are only in first quarter and the movement of market can still change. Incase there's no bullish season for alts this year, I just hope the price can reach the value wherein its not bad to sell since I've been holding some of my alts for more than a year and still waiting for the right timing to take profit.

Yes, you are right still, we are at the beginning, of the year and has a higher chance to increase the prices of altcoins. Most of the coins are increasing their prices slowly and it will surely absorb from the market that we have crossed the bearish mode of the market.

its only a beggining but that doesnt mean that the price of the coins are going to increase more in the upcoming days or months but theres also a possibility that the greens will be replaced by reds like what happen before.

before the greens are going out crazy but eventually reds are popping out and occupied the rest of the months but luckily the delima has ended.  now people can breathe a little bit more easier .

Firstly, All Altcoins somehow have their equivalent in a satoshi value which is finally Bitcoin and therefore they have some sort of connection with Bitcoin. If they pump of Bitcoin due to the halving is of great effect to the altcoin project then i see it also affecting the prrice of such Altcoin but if not then its the other way round. And again, the implementation of project roadmaps also has great impact of an altcoin price and if it happens coincidentally during the halving period, it could also be termed as trailing the bitcoin pump.

Well, a bull run just means price going higher and higher, and dips not lasting long, which is the pattern of the last weeks since 2020 changed from bear to bull. The power is in the buyers and everybody wants this to last, hence the FOMO,,, hence this is a bull run. Whether this becomes ATH run or parabola run is yet to be seen.

Indeed, the increase that occurred at the beginning of this quarter still does not guarantee the market will get a bullish trend, but this year has a big event that will happen about halving bitcoin and as such it is very likely that the bearish market will really end this year and even though the increase may not so consistent this time of year, but at least the market has recovered and we don't know for certain what will happen after halving later, whether the bull run will actually take place this year or maybe next year.

More than a month has passed since the beginning of 2020 and as we see the market is not bearish, on the contrary, it is growing and we can already begin to say that the market is bullish.

If we draw analogies with LTC, now it’s a very dangerous time  ;)
The positive influence of the halving is rather already taken into account by the market, but the negative consequences of the halving we will see in fact and it is possible that the fall will be as deep as at the LTC.

Which coin are you going to suggest then? Well, for the past years whenever we see BTC going up for hundreds of dollars over 24hrs for sure it will go down that is why even though it is a sign that bull run is coming, we still need to be vigilant on the market. Just like last year, we have seen a lot of this and then, it just fail.

Correct being vigilant and wise will give you much higher chances to earned instead of losing your investment. There's no assurance that what we expect will happen what is best id to be more extra careful positioning your investment, choosing the right projects will give you higher chances of success. Don't invest without knowing what you are doing.

We all are aware of bitcoin halving and most of the users are discussing about a possible bitcoin pump post halving which might or not not give pump to the value of altcoins. So do you think halving will provide openings for altcoins with a pump or altcoins will continue to be bearish in 2020?

Most altcoins have been bullish already. That's a good sign that the bearish market is behind us. However, there's every possibility the market can take a wild turn in not so distant future.

Still not sure because the bear market can still come back anytime so only invest a small amount now and ensure your profit. I think this year will still be a very difficult time for this market because almost every coin I know will increase in price with Bitcoin. In addition, the market is still clearly manipulated, so the market will have a big adjustment in the near future.

While we are all happy about what we are seeing and the growth in the market of cryptocurrencies I think we are finally reaching the limits of what it can be achieved with this movement and this is means that probably during the next months we are going to see a correction of the price, those expecting the price will skyrocket after the halving will probably be disappointed since I really think the market is already pricing the halving in its price right now.

For this year 2020, it's more on bullish market than bearish market. For the past couple of months we already witness the great improvement on the price on the market and take note it's not only in bitcoin because some other top altcoins also gain improvement and development. We are now reaching the day of bitcoin halving and even if we see a positive growth on this current day, there are still no guarantee on the effect of halving on bitcoin that's why be prepared and keep on holding.

It is unlikely that 2020 will be a bearish year, as it seems to me that the market is now recovering and growing, we only have to wait and watch the market.
Based on the current status of market, I'm sure that market already recover from bearish market and if we keep on pushing the price, we can totally attain our goal which is the bullish market that everyone wants. I have been watching the market since 2019 and seems I already earn some profit from bitcoin and it's because of it's sudden pump on market.

The bull market for cryptocurrency is not guaranteed this year, however, there is every reason to believe that it will not be bearish. Now the cryptocurrency market is growing quite well and this process can be considered preparation for the events that will happen with bitcoin in May of this year. Also, for the first time in the last two years, altcoins have begun to grow well. Apparently, this process will continue.

That's very positive, I hope you are right so we will once again see some big FOMO coming and bitcoin will be in headline again.
This market is full of FOMO and FUD depending on a given situation, so we should be aware on that in order to make a good decision.
Let's not get FOMOd, we have to sell at the right time.

maybe halving bitcoin has a big effect on the rise prices bitcoin because the amount of bitcoin has been reduce so it's most likely in 2020 will bitcoin entering a bullish trend and will not be bearish
Be specific, bitcoin halving will reduce bitcoin block reward into half. More about halving - https://blockgeeks.com/guides/bitcoin-halving/
However, there is no guarantee that it would result to a bull market, maybe the hype would help but let's see if it will continue, today bitcoin dump and not a good sign for me.

That's how the optimistic mind think and if you are a real believer of bitcoin, you'll always feel positive and that's how you see things.

When price dump, you don't panic, instead you buy them at dip, and when the price pump, you'll sell easily and not be greedy, newbie would buy and follow the FOMO.

This year halving will create a tremendous impact inside cryptosphere that we'll never forget in a hurry. Let's be hopeful until this global pandemic is over

Im a believer, so definitely no . Bearish in bitcoin will end as the halving will happen soon. The only thing that stop bitcoin from going in a bullrun is the virus. Once this virus ends bitcoin rampage will immediately start.

During 2020 cames more altcoins already increased, if we compared the price before 2019 than this year I like this value of the coins .
I don't think this year altcoins will still bearish like last year because even the price dumping it can pump the altcoins because for sure pumping crypto will happen again this month or maybe next month will be started.

Because of the coronavirus, a crisis has begun all over the world, so the market is likely to be bearish until the end of 2020. Bitcoin's halving is coming up, and I hope the market grows up at least a bit.

We all are aware of bitcoin halving and most of the users are discussing about a possible bitcoin pump post halving which might or not not give pump to the value of altcoins. So do you think halving will provide openings for altcoins with a pump or altcoins will continue to be bearish in 2020?

It seems to me that people are now giving more importance to Bitcoin than altcoin. Because there are people in Corona panic all over the world this time. At the moment, very few people will consider investing. Those who invest will first they think Bitcoin is safer. If the Corona Virus 2020 lasts throughout the year, then there is little chance of recovering the altcoin market.

There was never a chance that people are investing more on altcoins than in bitcoin, if you look at the dominance rate now,  bitcoin still got it, it's still dominating with 64% dominant rate now. We can't conclude this year yet, the start was bullish, and now it's struggling but we can be bullish in the last quarter and even make a new ATH, that way altcoins will also rise. What we need to focus now is on when this virus will be defeated which our scientist are currently working on finding the vaccine.

People's interest and the actions that they'll take will bring the movements both from bear or bull season, it's a fact that once the market get the support from investors and there's much more on the support side the value will rise and bull will takeover though if things went to the other side and situations like now will continue where money is very needed by many people to survive expect that bear will be there and dumped will happen along the way.

It starts Good at "Semi Bullish" but followed by So Very Bear market and really frustrating but i don't lose hope that int he end of the year at least we can taste our waiting profit.
just let us all pray that this Pandemic will end soon so the market will rise again to react in the halving of Bitcoin.

its just a supply and demand  ,if the demand is high price will go up. But today some prefer to choose immediate profit.  All i know is that btc will be bullish this year 2020.

I hope if Corona Virus will last the entire 2020 year means definitely Bitcoin price will fluctuate hugely. So it is always good to hold some fair currency and it will help to grab the Bitcoin and some other potential at low prices, myself I am doing the same thing which I will grab more Bitcoin once the price of Bitcoin drops.

That has always been the case ever since I entered the space years ago. I mean,,, sure, at every random time you have people talking up an alt. Like Ether in 2017. Or BSV even in 2019. Ripple. Whatever coin it was, they had their time, but Bitcoin always held steady no matter what. I think altcoins have to accept their success is dependent forever on Bitcoin.

Based on the last halving, Bitcoin always gets pump after halving happened
halving would happen in 2020 so it wouldn't be bearish anymore

when Bitcoin is pump, altcoin will follow it
But, I think not all altcoin can follow, just the good one

Yes I agree. I think there might be one more short term dip, but overall I am really positive for 2020, considers BTC more and more as a solution to diversify their portfolio. If we can achieve a sustainable upward trend in times of crisis, there is an insane bullish potential.

Many smaller coins will struggle, but I expect the whole liquidity in the market to grow. Since there is lots of uncertainty in the market it's more important then ever to do proper research on the business and Team behind the coin.

If you choose the right project, short term volatility should not be the focus, the future is bright :)

We can't say forever as we haven't see the future therefore we can't tell.
IIRC, there was a time that bitcoin dropped its dominant rate and bitcoin and altcoins were not too dependent with each other, however that was just a very short time as in general it was really bitcoin who cause the movement of the market with its significant news as people love to speculate on it.

The future is good for bitcoin but I'm hoping its dominant rate will drop a bit so altcoins as a market will also improve its strength.

Beginning of the year 2020 the market has recovered, look at the price of Bitcoin at the beginning of this year touched $ 10000, it is very good,
and it is natural to experience a correction, because halving will begin, whales will accumulate from the price of support, then you must follow their game

It is undeniably very difficult to predict something in the near future, but one must also take into account the fact that panic is specially used for personal purposes, justifying the whole situation on the cryptocurrency market with the coronavirus pandemic.  But in my opinion, in this situation, artificial manipulations in the cryptocurrency market did not get away.  In addition, there is hope that Bitcoin halving can positively affect the entire cryptocurrency market, since this essentially should provoke a shortage of bitcoin in the market.

The increase or decrease now no longer depends on halving events or good news about crypto, all of which has directed attention to the current global economy. If it weren't for the corona virus, now bitcoin's price is over $ 10k. If this 19-year-old Covid pandemic can be prevented early in Q2 or Q3, we will have some hope for the crypto market.
Therefore, if we want the market to grow again, our forum members should abide by social isolation measures, which will contribute greatly to the economy in the near future.

Judging by the quarantine periods introduced by the governments of the countries, you should not count on the end of the crisis even in the fall. Maybe by the end of the year the situation will begin to improve, but it will be one of the best options. I think that in such conditions there will be few buyers on the market and they will not be able to disperse the price of bitcoin high.

its disturbing for most bitcoin maximalist especially with the approaching halving that should pull the short term bull market but pandemic had affected the world economy. Its more for long term investors that can wait beyond the crisis. Halving doesnt look to bring the drive for the pre-halving anymore and profit taking might be toward the end of the year. It is a time to buy more if the fund is available.

If there was no pandemic, then most probably we are feeling the hype now already, maybe bitcoin would be trading over $10,000.
But this situation now is really big, it's destroying the world financially and since we are in the financial world, we are also affected with this.

As for me, recovery is already a big achievement amidst this big global crisis, and we are doing that.

Even though the market has not improved, I am still optimistic that halving bitcoin will help the price of altcoins rise. I think 2020
will be different with 2019 experiencing bearish, in 2020 the price of altcoins will rise. The moment will occur when halving the
bitcoin event end up. Therefore we must buy altcoins that have good potential before halving occurs. So when halving occurs and
price altcoins go up we can enjoy profits.

How is halving and rising prices for altcoins related? Do you think that people due to halving will start selling bitcoin and buying alts? Or do you think that the whole market will begin to grow in the face of the global crisis? But this growth will require billions of dollars. Both options seem extremely unlikely to me.

Maybe he has a positive prediction about the correlations between BTC and altcoins. The big price movement of the BTC can lead to higher prices on the different altcoins but I doubt the whole market will go up just because of the halving.

Everyone will rush to sell the fact due to the bought rumors. Buying rumours let the experienced trader do his ideas before everyone else, Mark Doughlas explained this very well: If the trader sees the share of the company rises in value on TV, it is too late to buy the shares of that stock. Acting fast is important, the bearish market will end sooner but only early birds will be able to harvest the winning in the next bull market.

Well I think he based his statetement to the previous movement of the market wherein everytime bitcoin price increase altcoins are following. It means bitcoin has influence in alts hence he is expecting the crypto as a whole will have a positive impact due to the coming halving. There's no concerete basis for this to happen but who knows the market is unpredicted anyway.

Bull run 2017 was in no way connected with the bitcoin halving. Therefore, I am surprised by his assumption. And if you look globally, the market has changed (I mean market participants) - everyone understands that there are good coins, and there are bad ones that are not worth buying even if the whole market is growing.

Bitcoin itself wont be too bearish in a continuing trend for all of 2020, it will be a bit of both.  How I would label this year would be in revision, 2018 was a decline and the 2019 the recovery and some spike in the price. 2020 will revise this action and in 2021 I would guess we will rise far more consistently.    With alt coins part of that, they do best when BTC is rising for some weeks and with larger gains rather then this back and forth then 2020 will see especially now with the virus news and cycle of treatment, etc.

Now there is no certainty that the price of Bitcoin may increase as covid-19 is making the situation worse and if not careful then you will easily lose money during this time. In my opinion, there is no reason for Bitcoin to increase and it is best to sit still and wait for the disease situation to get better. Investor sentiment is very panicked, so any bad news can cause this market to collapse.

Asides the upcoming bitcoin halving, you can be hopeful on bitcoin market cutting short on its bearish run because of its young age and promising future when compare to other markets like stocks and also with respect to the fact that the world is fast shifting to the digital era of IoT. Interest in physical markets will continue to thin out

I never wanted this covid-19 to appear during this time but we don't have many options because now the situation is very unpredictable and may get worse if it continues. The crypto market this year will tend to fall more and this is also a very good opportunity for people to consider investing if possible. If the corona pandemic does not end soon, the possibility of bearish will continue this year, but it is also possible if the bull run could occur before or after halving day bitcoin later in May 2020, so, we cannot predict with certainty what will happen in 2020 this, but certainly we must be prepared to face all the possibilities that exist by continuing to monitor and analyze the price of bitcoin and alt coin movements in the market, so that if bearish occurs at least we can minimize the losses that exist and vice versa if the bull run occurs we are ready and can benefit from the investment assets that we have.

I would say not when, but if and when.
It is obvious that globally the economy will recover and sooner or later beat its past peaks. But some industries may disappear or change beyond recognition. How will the crisis affect the transition from fossil fuel vehicles to electric cars? It can be slow, or it can completely kill technologies that are considered obsolete.
This also applies to cryptocurrencies. Perhaps regulators will increase their pressure and try to crush this market (or replace real cryptocurrencies with state ones) - no one knows. Therefore, I agree with you - the risks in investing have grown/will grow very seriously.

I also like to believe that it's not gonna be bearish, but compared to last year's economy, we have a bad economy this year, so I think Halving alone can't change the reality that people now are struggling financially and that they will invest because of the brought by halving.

Though the year is too early, but I would not close any possibility that the market will struggle throughout the year as we know the vaccine is still not out and these will fear people to go back on their productive life.

The start of this year is really good, market is in green status and most coins are increasing. Its like we are few steps away to bull run but unfortunately everything changed after the virus started to spread worldwide. It affects the decision of many to hold because they have this fear the market might crash. Its hard to predict what could be the next movement of the prices, we are still in second quarter so lets look forward for the event that will happen this year like the btc halving who knows it might affect crypto positively.

We all are aware of bitcoin halving and most of the users are discussing about a possible bitcoin pump post halving which might or not not give pump to the value of altcoins. So do you think halving will provide openings for altcoins with a pump or altcoins will continue to be bearish in 2020?
If the corona pandemic does not end soon, the possibility of bearish will continue this year, but it is also possible if the bull run could occur before or after halving day bitcoin later in May 2020, so, we cannot predict with certainty what will happen in 2020 this, but certainly we must be prepared to face all the possibilities that exist by continuing to monitor and analyze the price of bitcoin and alt coin movements in the market, so that if bearish occurs at least we can minimize the losses that exist and vice versa if the bull run occurs we are ready and can benefit from the investment assets that we have.

This is what everyone expects because I don't want this epidemic to last any longer and has affected the work of millions. Indeed, anyone is in financial difficulties and if there is no vaccine, this number will increase even more. This is the first time I have encountered this disease and hope that in the future there will be no next disease because it will only make things worse.

There are no bears on the market now, but also there are no bulls on the market now, I think that this year nothing interesting will happen on the market, just the market will grow a little bit or fall a little.

If bitcoin will rise to $8K or fall to $6K, then maybe we can say nothing happen as $1k decrease/increase which is like over 10% is not considered increase or decrease for bitcoin, thing is, we got use to over 100% movement.

No one expected the corona virus in 2019, even until Feb 2020 so this is totally unexpected so crypto market also get caught.

But crypto market recovery rate is huge compared to others so we can't say this is really bad for cryptos, it might becomes a good year for more adoptions to happen.

The growth of the crypto market often depends on the psychology of investors and if not sustained, the market has collapsed long ago. Last month the value of Bitcoin once dropped to $3800 and it was the worst price that the crypto market faced. I think things are not certain right now and you need to consider carefully before deciding to invest.

Bearish market is good also because we have time to prepare to get a more coin who is very low and once it's ready we can sell our coins for the big profit...

Every investment depends on the psychology of investors because it is driven by emotions of random people, certainly unstable market condition but the price of bitcoin recovered upto $7200 in very quick time which is a sign that we have to invest on bitcoin and altcoins before the halving boost the prices further more.

I'm not very positive on the outcome of the market this year because of the pandemic, I was expecting at least $15 k after the halving but unless this pandemic is over I don't see it happening, no vaccines are going to come out within five months because it will take months of testing so overall 2020 will be an extension of 2019 unless we have a vaccine ready.

Bearish markets are definitely a chance for those of us who think long term and couldn't afford to get in at FOMO. Which is why I've really appreciated the past 2/3 years. I mean, everyone's hoping for price to go up but I'm happy to wait another couple of years when the economy picks up, crypto will explode.

Even if we can assume that you are right and at the end of the crisis the cost of cryptocurrencies will increase sharply there is one problem: during the crisis it is very difficult to find money for investments and in order to wait. Therefore, if someone profits from this, it will be whales. I think this is bad for decentralization and contrary to the ideology of cryptocurrencies.

To those who are willing to  continue chasing low price of crypto this past years are good for long term holders, the last time high is still far from what's the current value and with this ongoing pandemic virus berish season still continue to dominates.
It takes longer timeframe  for the market to bounce and bring those glory days holders still have good chance to store more coins.

reduce or increase that will depend on the economy in the future. At the moment, the disease has not cooled down and infections in Europe have risen sharply. Unemployment has yet to decline in the US and 20 million people are waiting for government support. This is really terrible and I think it will greatly affect the economy in the coming months. Therefore, the crypto market will also be strongly affected and I do not think that the strong pump in 2020 will take place.

It looks like it is not bearish at all,  it looks like we are doing as well as it gets and I wouldn't hope to do any better than this in a situation like this. Think about it, the whole world is staying at home, the companies are bankrupting, people are getting fired, there are so many unpaid leaves, there are so many places that are closed, there is absolutely nothing going on in the world that could be considered economically good aside from maybe the toilet paper companies right now :D And even with all of that right now bitcoin is doing awesome, and moved beyond the expectations once again.

This is why I think bitcoin is doing pretty well, bearish is a long thought in our brains and we are focusing on how to make the most out of every single increase.

I do agree, the price of Bitcoin is increasing, but we are getting close to halving and what are the chances for the Bitcoin whether price of Bitcoin will increase during at the time of halving.
Bitcoin will increase if there is a hype, but it seems it's not happening yet, bitcoin has a good increase today but we are still at over $7k, still we haven't break the highest this year.

16 days left - https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/bitcoin-clock/..... .

Bitcoin is still not bullish, so I don't expect a significant rise.

Compared with previous halving the price of Bitcoin decreases and now with the effect of Covid-19 there is a chance to decrease its price.

I think the previous halving, bitcoin has rise.

in my opinion, a very small percentage of those people who have lost their jobs today were previously interested in the cryptocurrency market and had a desire to invest in the cryptocurrency.  I have always had the impression that the main investors in cryptocurrency are large businessmen or users who are involved in trading valuable assets, including cryptocurrency, and are also related to high technologies.  In addition, it is very dangerous to invest your personal funds in cryptocurrency, especially when you have income from your main job and which is very important for your home budget and limited.

I disagree with you. Perhaps these people did not have an interest in cryptocurrencies before, but during the crisis everyone is looking for something new, some options to make money. And then they just learn about cryptocurrencies. And the fact that they do not have money in order to really enter this sphere is very sad.

after the crisis, we will all gonna pay for what we get now, government manage the money to provide us, so we will going to pay it back in a form of tax or anything the government will impose in this relation.

Cypto market is now very volatile and often follows the price of Bitcoin, so spend some time analyzing this coin. I prefer to invest in altcoins in the top 200 CMC because these are very good coins and among them will be many new projects. Of course, I will still consider carefully and only choose to invest if that coin has many new updates for investors.

We are not bearish at all and we should be right now that is the weird part. Think about it, so many people are at home and they are not making any money, so where does this money comes from? Starting from bitcoin to at the bottom all coins are increasing for the past day for example, where did that money came from?

I do not understand how we are bullish right now but I am quite happy about it, I rather see coins go up than down and that is obvious but I would like to see coins stay strong on horrible periods as well which is the real test. Right now bitcoins year to date is better than any other major market out there, so that means during a pandemic crisis that hurt the world, all markets were doing bad but crypto was doing good, this will get heard eventually and help us in the long run.

Other competitive assets like stocks, crude oil etc will be indicator of a surge but they may never get back till bitcoin break its ATH

Most prediction are conservative because of the current pandemic issue which may cause suddenly panic sell in the back but despite that it will be after this year market before we can see halving dump and what the will experience now is some slightly dump in price to strengthen the market surge for future market.

I don't think year 2020 will be bearish,  bitcoin halving will be happening this year and that gives a lot of positive news to the crypto market, I believe  that After coronavirus, Crypto market will pump because of lots of stimulus packages many countries are doing, let's watch and see. Also many lost their jobs, so they will be forced to enter into Crypto, they will invest those money the government gave to them, this is my own opinion though

I was even looking toward $15k till after the halving dump. Most predictions are conservative now but we could be more positive when vacinnes is available and effective, better if month of May can take of the recovery. Other competitive assets like stocks, crude oil etc will be indicator of a surge but they may never get back till bitcoin break its ATH

The creation of a vaccine is possible in a short time, but its mass use is not possible since long testing is required. As for the stock market, I would not pay attention to these figures seriously. In fact, there has been a greatest economic collapse since the Great Depression, but the numbers on the stock exchange do not reflect this at all.

We can expect everything may happen, it may pump some alts in the market and bearish market may remains in the 2020 market because halving is not an assurance for us to expect the market of btc and alts to go in bull and hit the ATH again. Everything may happen let us observe and make the best decision in the market condition.
And that's the best way for now to observe first than to say something that could not help for us.
Because it will have time on that if these will be happen if BTC and ETH go in bull and hit ATH, We all know that well be a time we waiting for so long. And we hope that would be start in this year after the pandemic end.

We all are aware of bitcoin halving and most of the users are discussing about a possible bitcoin pump post halving which might or not not give pump to the value of altcoins. So do you think halving will provide openings for altcoins with a pump or altcoins will continue to be bearish in 2020?

i think the market will continue unstable until Q3 in this year
then in Q4 a good price movement will be begin my friend, thats my tought

I don't think 2020 will be bearish, no. 2017 was insanely bullish, particularly at the end... then came the bearish aftermath, which we are still recovering from. The market is not overheated at the moment. Confidence seems to be slowly returning, as we have seen in the bitcoin rise over the last couple of days, so I would think that 2020 should see a return to a more optimistic outlook, and then hopefully to more bullish price movement.
I agree with your comments! I also believe that the market of cryptocurrencies will have new developments in 2020. Recently, the value of cryptocurrencies has tended to increase. Now you can invest in Bitcoin right away to become a valuable coin owner. Many people predict that by the end of 2020 the price of BTC will reach $ 23,499.

Bearish has already passed,if you did not noticed that last march the Bear comes and brings the lowest value Bitcoin ever had
for many years now in 24 hours duration as we had fall to %50
i hate the reality but it happens and almost all of us experienced the biggest losses some of us did.

who says this?who are those "Many People that you are pointing here?do we really need to believe every people say?maybe you
are not even investing a cent thats why you can easily believe what this
scammers tells you?
23,499$ by the end of December this year won't matter now because what our main concern is the cure of the VIRUS because if
this happens?then the economy of the world and the
cryptocurrency will increase again.

It is almost a month after the reward was reduced to 6.25 bitcoins per block, it can be seen that many altcoins went up many %. So altcoins and tokens I consider are in a slight bullish trend.
But this is not a complete bullish trend because bitcoin does not show a large increase in value. We are still waiting for the classic bullish trend, my estimate is that it should come within two years.

This year is not a bearish year, I understand that the price of Bitcoin has dropped to $ 3000 in March,
and currently the Bullish to $ 10000, in my opinion this is a good year for Bitcoin

Right now market seems to be performing quite rather well but if am a buy I will still hold because there might be some corrections here and there coming It will have been better if you did enter the market before the bullish started Some maybe few days or week there will be slide though you can say by how much that happens

During this time you should consider carefully because the market can fluctuate at any time and will certainly always go against your thinking. This year is a very good year for you to choose to invest, and if you bought Bitcoin a few months ago, you would have doubled profits during this time. Of course, there is still a lot of time for you to invest but think and be careful.

although the development is pretty good, but this can't be said bull. however, the highest price in 2019 is far greater than the highest price achieved this year, moreover this year there are quite a lot of developments such as halving, and ethereum 2.0.
until now the development has not been seen, but I am sure the development will be seen soon.

We can already see that the market in 2020 will not be bearish, it is gradually beginning to grow, hopefully by the end of the year Bitcoin will be stable above $ 10k, and ETH will be very close to the price of $ 500.

How you say that 2020 is running in a bearish mood for the crypto sector. If you look at the Coinmarketcap and research there are many coins even surged more than 3000 times of their last price. And this everyday happen with many coins. Maybe you wouldn't have that coin in your portfolio.

If we want ETH to go up to $ 500 then I think we need to wait for Bitcoin to break down ATH. This entire market is moving along with bitcoin, and bitcoin has finished halving this year, which is a good signal for the price to stabilize and go up.

I think it will still continue to go high for incoming months to come. We still have many months left before the end of 2020 and the market are really doing a great job even we have facing a crisis right now. I don't see that ETH will go really high the delay of ETH 2.0 have really affects the face of ETH but I'm still fan of ETH. Its not the same expectation for BTC. They still need to prove that they improve a lot and make them more competitve.

between Q1 until Q3 maybe the market will be in sideways mate
but in Q4 from 2020 i think we will see a good movement on price
just wait and inrease your patience

I believe if half of bitcoin is reduced it can affect the price of altcoin especially with the highest altcoin in the CMC market.
