Anyone wants to take me on a bet Bitcoin price reaches $10,000+ in 5-7 days? After the bitcoin's record breaking network hash rate news (https://www.cryptozink.io/bitcoin-network-hash-rate-hits-new-record-highs/) come out, BTC lost $300+ (traded below $7k), then gain $500+ within hours. 

Why need to bet? We *must of all* are hoping more upward prices of Bitcoin.
But for me, kinda not healthy, pumping for almost $3,000 in just a span of 5-7 days, although we already saw it before, even more on that, what I just want is something healthy on price action.
About network hash rate, I think that's also one of the reasons why we are still not breaking below $5,000, the network has rate continue to grow.

I'd rather put all the money to trading instead of betting with someone just in my opinion at least in trading my own money I have the control of whether lose or not. Plus bitcoin is really unpredictable which is a big risk for both of us especially if we will be betting big money.

I agree with this, bitcoins price movement is not what it is like way back when we saw a rapid price growth way back in 2017 but as I said bitcoin is unpredictable we may or may not see it happen.

you should bet with fake satoshi CSW might win big or other users who predict bitcoin prices will go below $ 5,000, you will find a lot here, I think the same about bitcoin prices with you, I want to know how they maintain their 2020 predictions under $ 5k now, if finally a high hash level will make a difficult decision for big investors to play with prices, it's time 2020 to be a good year for bitcoin and other crypto, I'm on a path that has existed before

I think this is more of a gambling topic if you're looking for someone to bet with bitcoin's price.

But be it, we all want to see that happen with your expected days. If that's about to happen we're going to see a very rapid pump which can also lead to another quick dump so basically it's safer to see a gradual rise than to rapid pumps. Anyway, I'm also counting to see it back to $10k but it's okay if it won't within 5-7 days, I've became more patient now.  :P

Don't get your hopes up too much. It's rising a tiny bit today. Has the same potential to fall just as much tomorrow.

Some say the spike today was because of US bombing Iran. It would be evil to wish they bomb more but at least you find a less good reason in hash rate. $10k is a very sharp spike though, its not possible to happen in 5-7 days. It would have to gain more than 3% a day to reach $10k . Anyway, I can only see such article in cryptozink, not on popular crypto site.

I think is easy for bitcoin reaches above $10k in the next five to seven days because to close with bitcoin halving will make many investor have try for investing in bitcoin and could give effect for bitcoin back to higher price, I optimist your betting become winner because you prediction about bitcoin in seven days later will reaches higher price above $10k.

rising or not bitcoin prices I think we should see it together, rather than having to bet right or wrong. it is better to attach your research so that other people can be helped by the results of your research. rather than having to make a bet that not all members like.

It would be a difficult feat to achieve. Bitcoin would reach over $10k in March or April as we still have Chinese new year coming.
One of the largest individual investors of bitcoin are from China and the largest festival in China would have an effect on the price.
After the new year, the upcoming halving would boost the price of bitcoin.

i am very fond in people expressing extra positivities in regards to bitcoin price specially when bear is on the market.i also wait for this kind of pump and i think it can happen.

Are you crazy? You are just hoping too much. For me it is impossible to see that the bitcoin to reach $10,000 in the next 7 days. Why we would believe you? You are just speculating and it seems that you do not know what you are talking about. It is not about the fast growth of the hash rate. We should be realistic because the price of the bitcoin will not easily surpass the resistance levels.

I guess that's too short to witness 10K again, I know it happened last year, even less than 24 hours but it will not happen all the time.
I believe bitcoin will rise but chances of your prediction happening is likely very low.

I doubt it will reach this figure in the next few days. Instead, I believe that it will overcome it within a few months and that it will continue to grow.

Most users have got the same feeling, but everyone have the hope that the price will recover soon. There is nothing to bet with the price of bitcoin. Price change with bitcoin happens in no time, reaching $10000 is simple as it is just around $3000 away from the current market price of bitcoin.

It would be great but I highly doubt that Bitcoin will reach $10k in 5 - 7 days.  Fundamentally, BTC price increase because of certain major events such as a huge institution adopting it, and I have not read any news like that.  If it goes up to $10k in that span of time, I would be very careful because it might be a bull trap.

I think hashing means more people are into mining it has nothing to do with price. Price is directly linked with factors like adoption, government acceptance. 500$ spike is nothing new about bitcoin. I am with all others wanted to see bitcoin at 10k but with current rate it looks a bit difficult but who knows bitcoin can do that.

I don't think this is going to happen because as we can see, the price of bitcoin is really on the down state. It is really impossible for it to rise up to 10k USD. I don't think it is going to increase in just a small time because there are still a lot of delays in the market and also experiencing resistance in the bitcoin market price,
over the 7k-10k up so I think it would take a month before going up to 10k dollars in the market. If you analyze the market price chart I think it was reasonable.

i bet your prediction will be 101% failure. Bitcoin is having hard time to touch $8k again, so  $10k in a matter of days is impossible. And with that news it wont change the market price.

We've just broke the 7000 resistance level this past yesterday, and in this regard, I highly doubt it is increasing right now, but who knows, if many people see this as an opportunity to enter the market, then we can be sure to have a good market price of bitcoin. Though, I am not expecting it could be 10000 dollar in just 5-7 days, we are still far away from the bitcoin halving date to happen. In my opinion, if the market price of bitcoin increase right before the halving begins, then it will be easier for the miners to sell at higher reasonable prices after the halving.

We can't be so sure yet until the 5-7 days he said have past. I am not saying that I believe that this prediction will really happen, I just personally wanted to know what will be the next thing to happen and if this prediction will even close to the actual price of bitcoin. I think you're trying to bet at wrong place. More people here would bet in support of Bitcoin rather against. Another thing is that kind of pump is not healthy but looking at the market, anything is welcome these days.

You are excited just the way many people are, after a long consistent drop in the price. Well it is normal to keep seen speculation like this and if this is achieved within 5-7 days as you have predicted, then it means we shall be witnessing a fresh and new rise in the and continuous debate about many reasons for the sudden rise in the media which I will also like after a long break ;D

I think 5-7 days is not enough time for Bitcoin price to increase around $10,000 though this currency is volatile and it happened before this will not be enough reason to grow in such a short time. Looking to the market we have now I guess it will take a month before we saw it at that price. Probably, we Bitcoins price will only play around $7-8 at the given time.

Me and everyone here will have such expectation as yours. But that is a dream, isn't it? Or that is a prediction, isn't it?

Fundamental factor is indeed will give a big affect to the price movement instead we just predicting it through technical analyst. But you have to know and also you have to be able to sort the information that you believe will give a big affect to the price movement. And yeah, I doubt with the information that you brought will make bitcoin price up drastically as you mentioned. So, you can take your bet back because there is no one who will respond it.

Stop with the wild claims mate, do you know the number of crypto technical analysts that have made several of these predictions yet Bitcion always takes its own path? Please just do the guessing game and when you hit the bull eye's with your prediction then you can celebrate about that. Definitely bitcoin will go up but nobody really knows when this might set in place. 

I wouldn't recommend anyone making predictions on time. The forces acting in the market change from a moment to another. You can't possibly know what other entities have in their trading/investing agendas.

You should move this thread to gambling if you want to make bet.But I don’t think that btc can reach 10k within 5-7 days.Though I don’t want to make bet.but thinking 10k$ in short time is really impossible.         

I will only keep watch on this thread to know whether to continue to believe any of your predictions or just categorize it as one of them. While you might have a basis, time will tell whether its valid or not.

I don't think that the price of bitcoin will go well just they way you predicted it. Bitcoin is still struggling on $7k, it will take a lot of time before it achieves to reach $10k. Even after halving, there is no guarantee that we will really go to the moon, so this prediction will be a failure since 5-7 days is really a short period of time for bitcoin to recover from the deep.

As of now, bitcoin's price is at $7,312 and i think $10 k of bitcoin's price is impossible in the next 5-7 days because there are no any good signs recently that bitcoin would make a sudden great movement in a short time. In my own opinion, maybe before the end of january that bitcoin will reach it's price to $10 k.

Although I'd really want for BTC to reach more than the $10k rate I won't keep my hopes up considering the market situation right now. I'm thankful though that the rates seem to be stable at $7k right now.

But i think price of bitcoin will not jump immideiatly in 10,000 dollars.  And if this happen i think this is because of manipulation that bad because this is immideiatly dump.

As much as all of us want the BTC price to skyrocket in a span of a week, it probably won't happen.

It is really impossible, there would be a great news and we all know that before a sudden pump, there will be a huge dump that will happen first.

We all want that to happen and see bitcoin again making its name, but it is true, we should never have high expectation to avoid disappointment.

If you really expect that the price of bitcoin depends upon the amount of hash rate it has then i will bet you on that as the price of bitcoin does not rally looking at the hash rate but the opposite, with the halving coming up it is expected that miners will be looking to earn the maximum profit during this time and hence we are seeing a higher hash rate so that they can profit when the market rises.

I not agree with bet, but agree with price pumped. Actually thread that say bitcoin price will pumped make me happy. But maybe that price with only 1 week usually bitcoin price move slowly but sure. Maybe in future it can reach $10k and more, but in 1 week maybe i 50/50.

He's just expecting too much in bitcoin. He's not on drugs or what. But his prediction is really far from the reality where it brings high expectation not only to him but also to people around him who doesn't know and understand fully the bitcoin.

Sounds great! We are always hoping for the best price raise. Its not bad to assume but I guess we'll just be balance about it. We all know that many factors affects the price changes. I'm also hopeful but somehow reserved to avoid too much disappointment if ever it fails.

How much are you wiling to bet? Besides today there is an abnormal surge in transactions due to the "proof of keys" event, you shouldn't use it as indication of anything.

But, i'm willing to accept the chance that bitcoin price might reach those levels at some point before the halving.

If you're Bitcoin holder then It's better to have patience instead of having expectations on this concern I also think the price could hit $10k mark but not in 5-7 days I think it can take a month or more to hit $10k mark anyway I hope Bitcoin will perform good this year.

How sure you are that it can reach that value in the next 5-7 days when no one controls the value of it and know when it will rise or go down. Bet is useless for me what is important now is to hold until the price of it pumped again.  

Well that's quite interesting, so much hope at this moment is great and optimism brings so much motivation for anybody else who keep in faith with Bitcoin's fluctuation which I can say is a not that far to think of since people were starting to recognize Bitcoin again and reconsidering its potentials really impressed me a lot but for now we have to stay in focus on how we can possibly earn and invest in here.

I wouldn't take that bet with you. Honestly, I am not really sure when will bitcoin gain 10k dollars again since the market has been very confusing still. It's not a bad thing that you are being optimistic about bitcoin's value but I would still suggest that you set up a back up plan if ever what you predicted will not happen. Bitcoin halving is near and it is expected to make a better outcome for bitcoin's value so that's what we should pay attention right now, we should set our investments ready for what's coming.

Reaching to $10k in just 5-7days? And looking at how the market moves by now, it seems to be not possible. I don't think that the massive increase of hash rates will correlate to the market price to moves instantly. It is only considered if it sustains such flows for many days with improving numbers but if it drops off, $10k could be hopeless.

I don't think that bitcoin will reach it's price to $10 K in just 5-7 days because it is impossible for bitcoin to make a sudden improvement if the market is down today. But i really hope that your predictions will happen because we are really waiting for bitcoin to increase it's price this year for us to recover all of our losses.

It can happen but I doubt the number of days you've given.

An increase in the total hash rate does not necessarily mean there are more "people" buying. It could have been just a miners who bought more rigs or replaced the old ones with new, more powerful ones while selling the old, inefficient or recycling the components.

Moreover when hash rate increases the difficulty does the same thing thus the production cost of Bitcoin should increase especially for miners with low financial resources.

Bitcoin’s network hash rate hitting a new record shows that this year market will be awesome which can be justified by the market recovery but that does mean bitcoin will surge to the price you mentioned in just fews days buddy.

I believe the OP is from the US and if the US said bet like that it doesnt mean gambling or put money on it but an expression of assurance.

Let's be realistic that kind pump cant happens now until halving take place unless if the market is manipulated but such play will lead to early market corrections before halving.

you'd lose this bet. $10k in 5-7 days isn't easy to achieve. in a week will not be possible, you are too optimistic about it but i would expect dumps after this pump. there will be a lot of pumps and dumps these days. the price of BTC i think will keep this price from $7k-7500 for weeks, its been for several weeks too bad not any whales are plotting to break the resistance.

well we are growing now,from $6k level now we are back to $7k and i think there is something good will happen this week.

I don't yet trust this speculation, but let's see. if this thread was made on the 2nd, then the $ 10k price should have been reached on the 7th or 9th of this January. actually I'm still quite worried about this, I believe that the price of bitcoin can reach $ 10k before halving, but it seems heavy enough to be achieved this month.

I strongly doubt that bitcoin can reach $ 10,000 within 5-7 days because bitcoin is still no sign of bitcoin going up. and I think by the end of January the price of bitcoin will remain at the level of $ 7k. but these are all predictions that can be right or wrong. it is very difficult to predict the current price of bitcoin because the market is very volatile can go up and down at any time.

As we can observe the current market price in my view, no signs to reach 10k$ in the coming days. Though, we all know the movement is volatile we can anticipate the price may had changed. I'm not say im sure about bitcoin reach that value in 5-7 days. That is why i said 50/50 because maybe all possibility can happen in bitcoin. But in future, maybe $10000 can be reached because a lot of people include me really believe that bitcoin will get pumped in future.

no one can predict exactly, but if you are very sure, you should have buy bitcoin quite a lot and it will be a very big advantage. if you want to bet about increases, margin trading is good also. if talking about the future it should be easy to reach $10k and I hope it happens before halving.

I believed you are Judging  the news article about the increasing hashrate of bitcoin as its happens in 2017 as the yardstick that would triggers the pumping of the price to $10K I would have agreed with you but I don't think the impact would be swift and on spot, it might take some time however presently the price of bitcoin had shown a significant pumping after a retracement to a support at $6800 to $7360 a clear indication of the effect of an improved hashrate mentioned.

I'd rather trade my money than to bet it to you, if that prediction is possible then why I bet if I want to profit my money or triple it if bitcoin will reach that amount. if you are predicting the price then no one will believe in you, or you should bet it to users who predicted the price too. it's too early to reach $10000, 5 to 7 days are not enough to even reach $8k.

in my opinion bitcoin won't reach $ 10k in one week it's too short. because if you look since last November until today the price of bitcoin is still at the level of $ 7k. and it looks very difficult for bitcoin to pass this $ 7k level. and in my opinion bitcoin will dump again before bitcoin is reduced by half in May. but everything is possible in the crypto market. and no one knows for sure whether tomorrow bitcoin will go up or down.

That is one very risky move right there. If you want to place a bet do it on your own dont drag anyone to your uncertain predictions. 5-7 days is just too short for that price to be reach. If btc keeps the rising trend for sure it will head towards the 10,000 mark before february. I hope so.

All this good news but we ain't sure on what's coming next. And besides we ain't know what would be the benefit of betting on to you, quite sure this were going to be the opposite one though. Well, let us just hope that at least your claim would be possible to happen though we are in the fair price right now.

Only if $7600 is breached which bulls are finding hard to cross.
Bitcoin is testing the floor of $6700 time and again and isn't able to break that support because of the enough volume but similarly it is the 5th time $7600 gonna be tried again. If it gets crossed then $8500 won't be tough to reach.
But is that possible within a week? $8500, yes but I doubt about $10k.

Really doubt it, no pump for bitcoin this week, forget about $10K, bitcoin has struggling to break $8K for months. Bitcoin price so volatile, yes it can rapidly change within $100-$500 within hours, it drops to $6870 then rise to $7300 less than 24 hours, but it seems normal in this crypto market. The sentiment has changed from sell to buy obviously, but the price wouldn't fluctuate that extensively.

We've already seen a big rise in a short period of time before. So it's possible to happen for 5-7 days especially now, the price is showing some slight improvement. We know the capability of btc but in spite of it, i'm not over confident. Don't forget on how many times our expectation failed us compared to it's happening. This could happen to you as well. Remember, even a so called professional in trading also experience a fail. If not, then it's good for us to see a 5-digit price again.

Well i don't know what's the hurry. There are people who seem to be quite eager to break 10k in a few days or weeks. Try to look at the bigger picture. From the start of 2019, the value of bitcoin has considerably moved upwards. 10k will come and people should just wait for it. And it's not as if everyone who owns btc will sell at 10k

In few days is just too close to the current date to make that type of prediction. The price may have gone down and up but that just shows that people are not willing to sell their bitcoins under 7.5 thousand dollars right now, as soon as some people start selling the number of buyers are heavily outweight the number of sellers when we reach the under 7k prices.

However, that doesn't equal to price being over $10k, it just means that price is not valued at under $7k those are very different things. I can understand the logic that "if it is not going down then it must go up" and most of the time it is like that and I agree that there is a "chance" of price going up but just because something makes sense doesn't mean it has to happen, for it to happen everyone has to agree that it makes sense and act together for it which rarely ever happens.

looking at current conditions, it's quite difficult to think that the price of bitcoin can go up that fast in a short time. even more so if you see that halving will occur in the coming May. So, I think that the price of $ 10k will be reached between April or May. however, currently, the price of bitcoin is recovering little by little, so the price that is closest to the current price is $ 8000.

That escalated quickly but I highly doubt that would be the outcome because I know for sure Bitcoin halving effect will not boost the market that easily. It will take some time to be able to see the real effect o Bitcoin halving if you could just look at the previous halving you'll know what I mean.

It might happen but we don't know for sure since the current price is increase is only little but still a good way to make a profit. If there is a small changes in btc price then some whales are making their move and joining in the uptrend.

And i think its still good to buy bitcoin even thou the price is pumping slowly.

You don't think? look at the date when op posted. You're late, his prediction is failed more than his given date already. What stuck in $7k are you talking about. It seems you're not looking at price. Fyi price is doing well few days after new year until now. We had declined after touching $8k+ for the first time but it didn't touch $7k. We had it, maybe because of traders selling point but look we are now back at $8.5k again. I somehow agree at some part, there's no assurance that we will have a bull run after halving because no one really knows what were going to happen. What we have is just hope that history repeat itself.

If that's the core point of having no assurance, then let's not expect so much from any speculations that goes beyond. That's an optimal idea to see to when that history will be experienced again, but first and foremost control your emotions as we noticed gradual increase right now. The market has not stabilized yet, and when there's a raging pumps that come our way more investors will be influenced and makes the demand have an increasing trend.

The days you predicted bitcoin to reach $10k didnt happen however the movement of btc now is improving, it almost reach $9k before it went down again.

I think for the coming days we can expect the price to continue to move upward with minor recovery and might reach the $10k price or beyond before the halving happen in the next few months.

Eh, not quite 5-7 days but we are close now! Bitcoin almost reached $9K a few hours ago after a huge pump from $8100 to $8900. Now it has to do a pullback surely after such a massive pump but I'm optimist $10K is reachable within a week or two. People are starting to get bullish. Surely the halving isn't priced in yet, exciting days ahead!

I don't want to bet with anybody, and I just want to see bitcoin price reach $10, no matter if it happens in the next 5-7 days or the next months. I believe that the bitcoin price will be at that price, and it's only a matter of time that will happen to bitcoin. Although we don't know when bitcoin price can increase to that price, as long as we can buy more bitcoin while the price is at a low price, we will make a lot of money later, and in that time, our initial money will be back to us plus with the profit.

His bet was that Bitcoin will reach $10k in next 5-7 days and on the basis of the date the thread was opened i.e. 3/1/2020 and taking 7 days into consideration, he has already lost his 'bet' as Bitcoin was at $8200 high on 10/1/2020 and not $10k

Your prediction wasn't bad, because, Bitcoin price has already grown up to 8800 USD, which is very near to 10K USD. I think the way Bitcoin price increased from 7400 to 8800 USD, the same way it will increase to 10K USD in the few days or at the beginning of the next month.

It actually you don't need to have bet nor to challenge someone for that short period time unless it will be a month or more to go cause it seems to be impossible the market to run that way without hypes. And now, look at the price and you are failing with your prediction.

Cause not even a month the market will reach that certain point. In fact, the market moves slowly and it added with volatility holding it to continue to pump.

7 days was over ambitious but this month was a fair guess.    Seems like price action has the momentum to go places, I'm going to watch the 2 day average and see how it catches up to the active real time price.   Then we must observe how it reacts to this equalisation of prices and if are once again bullish or possibly stall or top out short term.    A pull back before 10000 is what I expect but there are many possibilities on the table just thats how I view the tracks ahead.

Why not? I get a cheap price of course I will hold it up to more than 10k, because I believe this year is the time to be bullish, as well as halving this year.
the risk is always there but don't worry when we invest in bitcoin, because it will always move up.

Depending on which price you have entered and if youve entered low then most likely you would able to make profits unlike if you do able to enter
when btc price is on its peak then until now you are still ending up on holding.Recovery time would still takes for a while so you cant say that everyone do really have that kind of level of patience to wait up thats why most people ending up on selling cheap.If this price movement would continue then reaching 10k wont really be a problem.

Have you paid for every one betting wit you because your prediction is wrong with bitcoin only reached above $8700, have pass seven days from your posting but bitcoin not reached above $10,000 and you need pay to your betting friend because you made wrong prediction about bitcoin price, maybe for next month is available for bitcoin have higher price above $10,000.

Given 1 week, bitcoin can actually reach 10k depending on if it can beat the resistance or not, its not even about one week or any time period, if we can beat the next resistance we can easily be over 10k because there is a huge hype going around in bitcoin right now.

Markets are superbly active and volumes are going crazy, everyone is trying to buy or sell or at least do some trades to make money, even altcoins are alive once again after months of doing nothing, so there is a huge movement going around crypto these days, which means as soon as bitcoin breaks the next resistance, we will easily be capable of reaching over 10k, wouldn't even take couple hours to break it after the resistance is already passed. However we are not %100 sure if we can break the resistance, if we knew we could, we would have tried already.

We can make only predictions but no one know about exact time  I have seen so many times bitcoin rising higher than this in short time and some times I saw it falling to lowest price and it’s all about increase of demand and supply if in market the demand will be high then price will be high so hopefully we can get target of $10k, just keep watching what happens.

Well, basically OP started this thread on January 3rd which didn't happen, but the good thing is the price is almost close to the $10k and I believe that it can reach that price. However, it is hard for us to make any predictions when the time it touches the 10k USD, but if we look to the market seems like people are trying to buy bitcoin as much as they can, so there's a possibility for the bitcoin to hit that price.

Bitcoin is having a hard time to touch the $9k price though while trying to look if bitcoin would even reach the $9k and $10k. We can't just throw some wild guesses over there thinking that it's just that easy to predict the bitcoin price. No one knows what would be the future price of bitcoin.

I really appreciate your confidence but the market can go either way, if we only focus on the couple of weeks progress then 10k is very much achievable. If in case we reach 10k within a week time then it's a signal for upcoming bull run, which was originally predicted to take place post Bitcoin halving.

It's not a bluff in fairness to OP. As you said, no one knows what will happen therefore back on January 3, no one also knows what will happen in a week. There is a chance that OP's claim might happen even for a 10-30% chance or whatever percentage you want to give. On January 3, the price is sitting around $6,900 to $7,000 and for $10,000 to happen, it needs a big push within that week. Given there might be a big hype or events happen on that week, that $3,000 increase is realistic within just 7 days.

What I disagree with the OP here is why we need to bet on something like that. Since it's just a wild guess on his own with no support or basis, better keep it by himself and no need for this thread like this.
