I am on your SCRYPT-pool with 9 cards (R9 280x) @ ~730 Kh/s each.

P.S.: You've got mail.

Hi all!

Hi,

is there any manual for beginners?
Do I need to be an expert in computer to mine?

What kind of equipment are needed, etc?

@igmaca: I think you should read and ask here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0) how to start SCRYPT-mining. This is extremely off topic at this thread.

We have paid out over 800 NxT so far in our first two payouts alone! (and that was only covering the first 13 rounds. We've solved nine more since then that will be paid out tonight!
Check out https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,4469.0.html for the official announcement thread on the NXT forums.

 I got a payment for 73 NXT that I can't track to the wallet, and another for 150 NXT this morning from the wallet address.

http://hashrate.org just paid out it's third payout.  (http://hashrate.org/payouts.html)
Five miners took home over 100 NxT, two miners took home over 200 NxT and one took home over 400 NxT  (this payout alone!!!)
Start mining for NxT today!

Hi,
here is a rough profit estimate of my first day on hashrate.org:
In 17.5h I got 414 Nxt. At current Nxt prices this equals 0.02484 BTC
per 17.5h or 0.034 BTC a day.
For comparison: mining at a BTC multipool (cleverming) would have given
an estimated profit of 0.03619 BTC for the last 24h with my setup.
So hashrate.org gave me 94% of the profit I would have got with a
traditional multipool.

The percentage might be lower because:
- Nxt price increased by ~10%

Or higher because:
- pay out carry overs from hashrate.org could not be considered
- accepted shares on clevermining were assumed to be 100% which is not
realistic.

hashrate.org (http://hashrate.org) gives approximately the same profit as a traditional
multipool.

Good job paradigmflux!

Great work PF.  Good to see that your pool is doing so well!  People need to take notice.  Nxt has a fixed amount and since no more are being generated, the stronger your pool gets, the higher the price of Nxt will be pushed up.

Title: Re: [ANN] NXTMine Pool - hashrate.org - Beta Testing
Post by: paradigmflux on March 21, 2014, 05:21:23 AM
2500 NXT paid out today alone!
punkrock said he was approximately the same earnings as other multipools when this mornings payout netted him 413 NXT over 17.5 hours.
In the 14 hours after that, his miners earned him 483 NXT!

Come join the beta testing - 18 MH and counting. Payouts are happening two times per day!

And thanks rlh! :)

Title: Re: [ANN] NXTMine Pool - hashrate.org - Beta Testing
Post by: punkrock on March 21, 2014, 01:30:57 PM
Here is an update of todays payout on hashrate.org. I used the timestamps between payouts as the mining time. In 14h of mining between payouts I got 492 nxt. In one day this would give 843 NXT or 0.0555 BTC at current prices (cryptsy).

Factoring in my hashrate I end up with a profitability of: 0.00856 BTC/MH per day

For comparison traditional BTC multipool profitability of the last 24h:

- hashrate.org: 0.00856 BTC/MH per day
- clevermining: 0.00550 BTC/MH per day
- wafflepool: 0.00518 BTC/MH per day

Keep in mind that payouts on multipools vary greatly between days. I will stay on the pool and keep posting updates. So in the course of a week or two we should have a clearer picture. Anyways, the last payout was fantastic. Keep up the good work paradigmflux!

EDIT:
Some considerations for your pool: I would do payouts only once a day at the same time. This helps keeping track on profitability and reduces lost fees by half. Don't waste too much time on the looks of the webpage, at least in the beginning. People only care for payouts. Same goes for transparency. However, if payouts are bad you will get shit from all sides. In this case transparency helps to keep miners calm. You should think about implementing a scrypt-N pool. With scrypt asics now starting to hit the markets, scrypt coins won't be profitable with GPU mining very soon. As for daily global pool stats something like: paid out Nxt, unexchanged Nxt, hashrate and Nxt/MH per day would be nice. And something similar for individual miner stats.

Title: Re: [ANN] NXTMine Pool - hashrate.org - Beta Testing
Post by: paradigmflux on March 21, 2014, 02:27:42 PM
Duly noted, punkrock.
I will update the page, and payouts will start happening every day in the early evening hours (Pacific time zone).

To the miners on my pool who have received payouts - can I please ask a favor?
Please go here (https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,4399.0.html) and post a response to this post?

IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING THIS THREAD OR MINING ON THESE POOLS

Please tell me how long you've been mining, which ports are you mining of and could you report a brief history of the payouts that you've received.  How much Nxt and when they were received would be helpful.

which diff is better for 2.8Mh/s rig?

stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:3008 (for vardiff)
or
stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:3032 (for fixed difficulty 32 shares)

Title: Re: [ANN] NXTMine Pool - hashrate.org - Beta Testing
Post by: paradigmflux on March 21, 2014, 07:06:19 PM
the 3008 is vardiff
but the 3032 is fixed difficulty 32.
if you plan on mining with us for a few days, the 3032 port is probably your best bet
but if you're just checking out the pool for a short while, use 3008.  Most people are using 3008, I just put 3032 and 3256 up because some people are picky.

Update on yesterdays mining on hashrate.org:
I got 517 Nxt in 20h or 620 Nxt per day. At current prices (BTER,
NXT/BTC= 0.0000725) this equals 0.045 BTC.
Profitability:
hashrate.org  0.00694 BTC/MH per day
comparing with other multipools:
clevermining: 0.00549 BTC/MH per day
wafflepool:   0.00482 BTC/MH per day

After 2.5 days of mining rejected share ratio is 0.25%. No shares were
submitted to the backup pool, meaning that hashrate.org was up and
running the whole time.

SHA256 round stats and hash rates have been added to the site.
The first payout to the SHA256 miners will be tonight, as they got their first blocks finally.
Over 70 MH currently and over 700 GH of SHA mining power.

Also, today the pool has more than made up for it's poor luck over the last couple days (yet still paying out more than other multipools!) - today the pool has had a few incredibly lucky streaks.

When do you plan to do exchange/payout automatically? You can't do that manually forever, right? Also it would be nice to know what we mine at the moment.
So far good job.

Title: Re: [ANN] NXTMine Pool - hashrate.org - Beta Testing
Post by: paradigmflux on March 22, 2014, 09:15:57 PM
Hey!  I already have most of the exchanging stuff automated, mostly the manually intensive pay of the payouts is just the posting he HTML table and then sending out the actual outgoing TXNs.
I am working on getting the NXT transactions to go automatically (there isn't a traditional <coin>d daemon with NXT) and should have that identified fairly soon.
I am also talking to two web developers about getting their assistance in getting a better page working that would include predis (to be able to report directly on the back end Redis instance)
I should hopefully be able to update further tomorrow on the status of that.

By the way, i'll be starting today's payouts at 5PM PST.  Today so far is looking like it should pay out much better than the last two days (we're mining coins with variable block rewards and the last couple days we have been generally unlucky whereas today we have been quite fortunate).

Today will be the first payout to the SHA256 miners, too!

Thank you to everyone who is mining with me, thank you all for tolerating the terrible website and reporting deficiencies.

Hey all,

I have heard that BFGMiner has issues with duplicate ntime values.  I am looking into that, if you could try using cgminer in the meantime that would be great.  I did implement what might be a fix tonight, so please let me know if it's still happening for you.

The entire site is also undergoing a massive facelift to include some reporting and stuff, tomorrow may be a manual payout one last time but after that things should all be automatic.
Check the main page for the link to check out what v2.0 is going to look like!

ATTN MINERS
please if you are mining the SHA-256 port

Please verify that you are using this address:
stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:5008

There are several miners that are hammering the port with getwork requests causing trouble for everyone.
You need to have the stratum+tcp at the start of the address please.

Hi pf,

I'm not entirely sure if it's my hardware or not, but recently (in the last ~24 hours) I have been getting a *ton* of freezes, then a ton of invalid nonces. From what I have heard, this is common from multipools when they switch coins. However, this is literally happening almost every 2-5 minutes and reduces my hash rate to almost half of the norm at times. Is there any way to avoid this?

Pandaisftw

PS: Love the new site look!

hey all.

Sorry, I was restarting the stratum proxy a few times tonight as I worked on a few things.
I only got half of today's payouts out today - i will send the rest early tomorow morning.
I'd buy as much NXT as possible in the next 24 hours because tomorrow NXT is going to the moon.

ps, V2.0 of the site is up. :)
PS, SHA256 miners - please make sure you're not using getwork
mine with stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:5008 for SHA256 mining - i know that the page previously had the wrong address up, I apologize for that.

Hey Guys!

 I am seriously impressed by this procect paradigmflux has put together there and I want to participate.

My issue is a lack of time. I have two options: Install an old setup from parts I have, mainboard, cpu, two NVIDIA 7900GTO,

or go to www.betarigs.com/faq or to leaserigs or so.

Can you throw out some numbers regarding hashing power? I know there is a litecoin wiki that gives an overview over GPUs,

but maybe one of you can bounce some numbers, esp. in connection with leasing ascis to contribute to the pool!

Great Project, let's finance Nxt with the PoWs!

Best,
l8orre

ps: when it says on the project page 80 Miners and 832002011 KH/s that there are in fact 832002.011MegaHash/s = 832.002011GigaHash/s in the pool from the 80 miners?
- the nomenclature is a bit dense, I would actually expect a 'k' for kilo, not a 'K', and anyway those numbers look a bit high to me ...

Hey all

I have been hard at work getting some of the automated payments working properly.  I question whether it will be technically possible to ever fully automate this thing, when the exchanges are taking up to 24 hours to process withdrawals.

I am waiting on a just over 6800 withdrawal from BTER to go through to do more manual payouts, that payout period will cover everything through up until this morning at about 6:30 AM PST.
SHA miners will also have the same.

On the bright side, i have automated the calculations of the payouts.  Again, I question if it's technically possible to be able to script actually sending the txns what with the huge lag time on the exchanges and the rapid rate at which the NXT exchange fluctuates.  I am still working on that some more.
By the way, the stats page should show you the coins unexchanged, coins exchanged and coins unconfirmed statistics sometime today (I am just working on that stuff in a dev environment)

Hashrates are also on the pool stats page again (scroll down) - they update every 10 minutes.

Over 10,000 NXT are stuck in withdrawal on BTER currently.
Payouts will be going out as soon as the amounts get recieved by the pool.
Further reporting will be available on the site later tonight (including historical and current payout information)

Given the poor performance of the exchanges I think it would be a good idea for the pool to try and keep enough coins available for it to borrow for up to a full day or two worth of payouts... Any original NXT investors around?  Obviously the pool can pay back once BTER fixes whatever is jamming up the withdrawals.

Does Bter.com respond to communication on contact channels given on English version of their site?

Few months ago, I personally found out that they communicate and respond promptly only via contacts given on the Chinese version of their site (click on the PRC flag in the upper right part of bter.com to get it). I had to use QQ IM (it has English-Chinese translation built-in) software to communicate with them in Beijing morning time. You could also try to contact them with other means listed at https://bter.com/news/contacts (visible only when the language is set to Chinese) in case English contact channels don't work out.

Hey all
Payments have been sent out catching everyone up to the point at which the pool stats are now the authoritative ones.  Check the 'miners' page for details - it now shows you any outstanding balance you have with the pool, your number of unexchanged coins, as well as your hash rate and payment history.
*** note there may be some historical payments that the pool made that are still not loaded into the DB.  I still have to get all of those fully imported so that the miner reporting section lists them all

Tomorrow I am bringing on a few other coin daemons (we neeed our hash rate to get high enough to be able to mine some of the most profitable coins) but I have two more ready. (one of which has never had a pool hit it, from what I can tell)
Is anyone interested in Scrypt-N or X11 ports too? If so, I can get them working tomorrow.

Integrated twitter to the site today.  Scrypt and SHA payments just went out to the miners, check your /miner page to see the payment details and TXN numbers.
I will be working on getting all of the share/round information on the site today.
Payouts were a bit on the low side for the Scrypt miners because we were stuck on a megacoin block forever (like 5+ hours) but this morning we finally got over it and there's already five more MEC blocks all confirming now too. :)
I will get the round time information also on the site today

SHA miners, I apologize for not getting your payments from earlier today sent through yet.  I have been hard at work setting up another SHA256 port for you all to earn NXT with!  I will be paying the SHA workers out tomorrow for both today and tomorrow.

Can I please also get your assistance in testing out the new SHA port?  It will be merge mining BTC, NMC, DVC and IXC simultaneously (and promises to be far far more profitable than the current SHA port that everyone is using.)  There is the chance that there may be some periods where we may not strike a payout for ~24 hours at a time but when we do it promises to pay out far moreso than the MZC port currently does.

Please point your SHA miners to:

stratum+tcp://107.170.89.12:5008
username:  NXTWalletAddress
password: any password

Thank you all!

I'm mining SHA (Maza) on your pool with some of my ASICs (currently over 1THs / 40% of the SHA pool) mainly because I'm interested in NXT.  But if you switch over to BTC with your pool hashrate under 3THs like it is now, you will go months, not days before you solve a block.  What it amounts to is essentially solo mining with an insignificant hashrate.

You'd be better off just keeping things they way they are if you can't find a way to combine our hash and point it at a real BTC pool like BTCG or GHash.

I have mined for approx 7 hours now on the pool but there seems to be nothing showing up in stats page besides my hash rate.  Is there a way to see the approx amount of Nxt we will receive? I understand that it is still in beta.

The reporting on the pool leaves a lot to be desired and isn't updated frequently.  I wish he'd gone with generic pool software like MPOS.

Please get back to us on the status of the SHA pool(s).  I'm not switching over to a tiny BTC pool if that's going to be my only option.  I'll just take my 1THs I'm pointing at your pool and put it back with the rest of my hash on a big BTC pool and buy NXT if I must.  But that isn't as much fun.

Please go back to mining Maza and other SHA alts.  That was the whole attraction to this pool and now it's gone.

Hey man
The old SHA and other alt port is still available to be used..  stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:5008 will get you to the port that mines the altcoins.
stratum+tcp://sha.hashrate.org:5008 is the port that is merge mining BTC, IXC, NMC and DVC all simultaneously.  I opened up that port because it is more profitable, share for share, than mining any other coins (and therefore will net the miners the highest return in terms of NXT per GH of mining power)
I am also still working on the reporting side of things - I had the flu today and didn't get much done, but it will be rolled out very soon (as the pool is still in beta).
I will also be modifying the miner pages most likely tomorrow so that they will show an outstanding NXT and an outstanding BTC amount (and the BTC amount will increment up as the coins mature and are sold on the exchanges throughout the day)

BTW, the new SHA port reporting is available at http://sha.hashrate.org:5008
It's actually a P2Pool port which has a total of nearly 190 TH of miners contributing to it.
And each share is also checked against the other merged coins chains to see if it might be a block on any of them even when the shares aren't BTC blocks

A small bitcoin pool like BitMinter (560THs) can go an entire day without solving a block.  P2Pool with 1/3 the hashing power?  Not liking those odds at all.

I'll stick with the original SHA port unless you come up with something better.

I'm guessing you're the worker that starts 120 something?
if so, 1100 nxt went out to you just now and there is still more mzc confirming.

BTW:

Hashrate.org will be going offline for some maintainence shortly.  This will not affect SHA miners using SHA.HASHRATE.ORG (stats for that p2pool are available at http://sha.hashrate.org:5008 - hopefully they hit their first block soon, but it looks like it will already be worth several thousand NXT)

47 payouts went out tonight.  After tonight's update, multiple Scrypt coins will be able to be mined simultaenously and there will be much better reporting.

I will post once the mainainence is complete.

Yeah that's me.  I'm taking a break from the pool until it's more stable and you come up with a different plan for SHA other than mining P2Pool.  I was quite happy mining Maza but you're rarely going to find any BTC blocks on P2Pool so my GHs would be wasted.

PM me when you get it sorted.

Hey all,

Pool has undergone another major facelift.  Please let me know what you think.

Reporting will be made easier to find your worker in the lists by including a search box, for now you can just type in the first few numbers of your worker and it will skip to that worker.

The new layout looks nice and all the links seem to be working. Good work.

However, to be honest, I'd like to see how many coins/shares I have in my account pending be converted like before. This way I can see if it is more cost effective to mine or to simply purchase nxt.

Hey man,
The issue is that the numbers before were horribly inaccurate
the 'miner' page currently shows you a number for BTC Balace
that wnumber will soon be incrementing hourly.

A reminder to any SHA miners: you would be much much more profitable mining stratum+tcp://sha.hashrate.org:5008 than mining the altcoin port.
stratum+tcp://sha.hashrate.org:5008
username: <nxt wallet id>
password: <any password>

that port is a p2pool mining BTC and merge mining four other altcoins simutaneously.  Yesterday they were about 4x as profitable as mining on the other SHA port (the stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:5008)
stats for the sha.hashrate.org server are all available here:  http://sha.hashrate.org:5008 (http://sha.hashrate.org:5008)

Hey Ashley! Thanks for mining with us.

The website has changed since you could access your miner stats that way.
You should now be able to check your hashrate (as well as the estimated NXT that you have earned so far this shift) by looking at http://hashrate.org/hashrates

That page currently refresh every 10 minutes, and the estimated NXT quantities  refresh every 12 minutes (so sometimes you might not see the estimated NXT quantity go up for ~20 minutes.

The pool also now has a link on the front page to show the pool's profitability for the shift that just ended.
Shifts currently are manually ended (once per day) but I will likely start having the shifts automatically start/finish every 4-6 hours.

*** UPDATE ***

Current round estimated profitability is available on the link off of the main page - currently sitting at over 0.00612 BTC/MH/24-hr this shift.
All of the calculation numbers are on the link.

We've been consistantly hitting a round every ~50 hrs or so P2Pool
Merge mining some of the other SHA altcoins has been less successful than I had hoped, but if we can get up to 5-10 TH I'm sure that will start paying out a bit more consistantly as well
Far more variant than I had hoped, but mining BTC is 2-3x more profitable than any of the other SHA alts.

We had a donation that will enable the pool to pay out an additional 10% bonus to 10% of the miners (randomly) each day until the donation runs out.

These payments will be made seperately from the mining earning payouts, and will not be included in any of the site profitability numbers per day.

Not bad, considering we were already one of the most profitable multipools operating.

Thanks to all the loyal miners who stuck with us through some of the rocky early days of the pool.
We've been paying out daily payments to miners for over 30 days!

What does NXT have that the other POS coins currently do not?
-> Completely custom code-base that is not just a generic bitcoin fork - and it is open source too!
-> Decentralized anonymous marketplace
-> In a few weeks, a in-blockchain crypto exchange.
-> A long history of growth, this was one of the very first POS coins and it is still one of the largest coins.

Join the Hashrate.org (http://Hashrate.org) NXT Lunar Voyage this thursday at 12:00 noon PST!
Don't be stuck wishing that you'd gotten on board before the shuttle leaves orbit! Also, we've  made sure to pack enough gear to set up a moon base so there's no trip home planned.
Countdown available on the site.  Historical payout numbers available on the site.  Details on the miner bonus payouts on the site.

The pool hasn't taken off yet, still in the pre-launch countdown stages.

But for those wishing to line up their rigs ahead of time (just be sure to have a backup pool so you mine until then! just set the hashrate one at a higher priority so as soon as it's launched you will automatically connect!

X11 - WILL BE ANNOUNCED TOMORROW  *****
SHA - stratum+tcp://sha.hashrate.org:5008

** X11 mining requires a custom miner, to be loaded with the X11 kernel option passed in when the miner is executed.  Anything else will just be submitting tons of invalid shares.   I will update this thread once I find the links to the good SGminer that supports X11

I think the clock counts from your local time.

Launch is 9 hours from now if I looked at the timezones correctly.

I can confirm, clock is down here in europe, 9 more hours to go !

Should be just over 3 hours until launch:

It's alive and slowly picking up speed!

Let's get onboard, profitability was better than Blackcoin in beta, and now it's paying out +10%!

To everyone who didn't get it: This pool will mine and auto-dump many scrypt and sha coins and pay you out in NXT!
This way you can still get your stake in a non mineable crypto currency.

Thanks PF.  You may want to rename this [ANN] since you are no longer in Beta.  Also, update your OP and mention the 10% bonus and offer some stats on how you are often around 100-200% more profitable than the typical multi-pool.  (At least, that's what I recall you stating in the Nxt Dev Update on the Youtubes.)

hashrate.org (http://www.hashrate.org) !

Pour les utilisateurs de windows :

I/ Téléchargement
- CGMiner 3.7.2 (http://samoht.fr/?wpdmact=process&did=NC5ob3RsaW5r)
- CGWatcher 1.3.3 (http://samoht.fr/?wpdmact=process&did=Ni5ob3RsaW5r)
- GPU-z (http://www.clubic.com/telecharger-fiche45616-gpu-z.html)
- https://www.sapphireselectclub.com/ssc/TriXX/ (https://www.sapphireselectclub.com/ssc/TriXX/)

1 - Ouvrir CGWatcher.exe
2 - Créer un nouveau profil

http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/328592554.png (http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/328592554.png)

Code:
"disable-rejecting" : true,
"scrypt" : true,
"auto-fan" : true,
"gpu-fan" : "40-100",
"temp-target" : "75",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",

Code:
"gpu-threads" : "x", # Généralement 1 ou 2
"gpu-engine" : "(x)xxx",
"gpu-memclock" : "xxxx",
"gpu-powertune" : "xx", # Laissez "0" si vous ne souhaitez pas overclocker votre CG
"intensity" : "xx", # Le meilleur compromis est généralement "13"
"thread-concurrency" : "xxxx"

Cliquer "...".

Cliquer "Ajouter".

Compléter les champs comme indiqué.

URL:Port :
Code:
stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:3032

I/ Téléchargement
- CGMiner 3.7.2 (http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/3.7/cgminer-3.7.2.tar.bz2)

Code:
{
"pools" : [
{
"name" : "hashrate.org",
"url" : "stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:3032",
"user" : "xxx", # Remplacer xxx par l'adresse NXT
"pass" : "xxx", # Remplacer xxx par un mot de passe quelconque
}
],
"api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1",
"api-listen" : true,
"disable-rejecting" : true,

"auto-fan" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "x",
"gpu-engine" : "xxx(x)",
"gpu-fan" : "40-100",
"gpu-memclock" : "xxx(x)",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"intensity" : "xx", # Généralement 13
"temp-target" : "75",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",
"thread-concurrency" : "xxx"
}

Bon minage;

I'm still confused about the SHA mining. You keep pushing the BTC p2pool but your stats are showing other alt SHA coins being mined such as Bytecoin and unobtanium.

If you're mining other alt SHA coins, what's the address to point the miners at? And why don't you integrate the BTC stats into the main site? Frankly, this should have been done before launch. I'd love to point some considerable hashrate your way but I'm not convinced you've worked out all of the kinks yet.

One thing I do appreciate is that you have much more transparency than blackcoinpool. With BCP, you have no way to know what the pool is actually mining. You have to trust that they are mining the most profitable coins and not just attacking weaker, competitor coins. And add to that they just went down with no warning to fix some supposed vulnerability. I have Bitfury rigs that don't have backup pool ability and those rigs just go idle when the pool goes down.

Hey man
If you're still resolving the DNS for the sha.hashrate.org page wrong, refresh your DNS
The merged mining pool will be shut down entirely later tonight and all of it's profits sent out to the miners (are you the big miner on it still?)
The merged altcoins will be mined instead with the SHA, it is far easier to integrate that into the current system than to keep trying the P2Pool way.  I am confident that with the autoswitching we can stay within 1-2% as profitable as BTC anyways (and possibly moreso if we ever sell into an ongoing pump)

Ok, let me see if I have this right...

You're not going to be mining BTC anymore, right? Thank you! It was pointless to try.

You're going back to mining alt SHA coins and we are to mine only at sha.hashrate.org:5008?

What alt Sha coins will you be mining? You're currently only showing Unobtainium and Bytecoin.

If I add some THs to the pool, aren't we in danger of destroying a weak coin like Bytecoin, lol? I would suggest adding some stronger coins with a higher network hashrate.

Currently I have just over 1THs pointed at hashrate.org:5008. If I add "sha.", will I be mining on BTC p2pool or the alt pool? I'd rather not waste the hash on p2pool.

Hey guys
Sorry, the X11 port got put on hold until I can rent another VPS to use for it.  There are too many people who use the wrong miner and wind up saturating the thing with invalid shares to run it on the same box as serves up the Scrypt and SHA stratums.
I will eventually have a port open for it though - I already have two of the X11 coin blockchains downloaded.  If you want to see a X11 coin sooner, consider donating as per the FAQ page

And there are actually three SHA coins currently listed (Bytecoin, Mazacoin and Unobtanium) - more will be added if they are seen to be required to stay nearly as profitable as BTC, yes.  (likely Terracoin would be the next one)

Maza is not listed. We've been mining Bytecoin all day.

And why do the "unexchanged estimates" keep reverting to zero and then back again? Since I added my +2THs of SHA to my little bit of Scrypt (4MHs) I have on the pool, my "unexchanged estimates" don't seem to be growing any faster.

C'mon now! Answer my questions or I'm done. If you cant be bothered with supporting your pool members then you probably shouldn't be running a pool.

And what's up with the stats? You are ignoring SHA miners with your profitability updates. And my stats still show no earnings pending when my NXT acct number link is clicked.

And why do the "unexchanged estimates" keep reverting to zero and then back again? Since I added my +2THs of SHA to my little bit of Scrypt (4MHs) I have on the pool, my "unexchanged estimates" don't seem to be growing any faster.

                   The unexchanged estimates items recalculate for everyone every ~10 minutes right now.  They take about 30 seconds to recalculate, so if you refresh while that is happening they may show up as 0 temporarily.  They are also seperate for Scrypt and for SHA (ie, your SHA and Scrypt miners will show different 'estimated NXT' amounts as they are algo specific.  I was thinking of pushing out the 'estimated NXT' calculations to once every 20 or 30 minutes to try and reduce this, but obviously that makes the numbers increment less often.   The estimated numbers were also out significantly yesterday, but I think that I have that resolved now.

Would you also please clarify the bolded questions in my previous post...

         Yes, we are going back to mining SHA altcoins.  It's the simplest way to be able to unify the reporting and keep everything in a single site.
What alt Sha coins will you be mining? You're currently only showing Unobtainium and Bytecoin.
          Terracoin and Zetacoin will be re-added to the pool tonight, and Mazacoin will be turned on again.
If I add some THs to the pool, aren't we in danger of destroying a weak coin like Bytecoin, lol? I would suggest adding some stronger coins with a higher network hashrate.
         Good point - I was concerned that we nearly forked bytecoin last night, but it's just taking quite a while for the 34 pending rounds to confirm for them.   This will be a lot less of a concern once we have Terracoin and Zetacoin in the picture.
Currently I have just over 1THs pointed at hashrate.org:5008. If I add "sha.", will I be mining on BTC p2pool or the alt pool? I'd rather not waste the hash on p2pool. [/quote]
          Nope, there is no DNS name whatsoever pointing at a BTC P2Pool any longer.  You won't hit that no matter what DNS name you try and use.   Sha.hashrate.org and hashrate.org are essentially the same servers (it's just that cloudflare uses the 'hashrate.org' DNS name to do it's cloudflare magic on.  I currently have cloudflare in bypass mode though, because I was worried lots of miners were still trying to hit the site without using the proper subdomains).

I understand that you're disabling the p2pool tonight but what is being mined on sha.hashrate.org at this very moment? And when should I switch over from hashrate.org to sha.hashrate.org?
Right now they are one and the same.  Ping the two hostnames, they resolve out to the same IP addresses.  When I turn on cloudflare optimization again, hashrate.org will resolve out to the IP of the cloudflare servers (which obviously isn't a stratum router) so that would stop any miner who is using just stratum+tcp://hashrate.org:<portnumber> from being able to connect.  In hindsight, I should have been using the subdomains all along.

nicehash.com

Well technically you are not renting rigs, but hash power.

lol
yesterday i had a standing order on nicehash that was below the payout rate of the pool, so the difference between the two is basically straight profit
just gotta keep the order low enough that it's profitable

One thing I do appreciate is that you have much more transparency than blackcoinpool. With BCP, you have no way to know what the pool is actually mining. You have to trust that they are mining the most profitable coins and not just attacking weaker, competitor coins.

What does it mean to "attack weaker, competitor coins" ?

A coin like Bytecoin doesn't typically have much hashrate mining it. If a pool throws a lot of hash power at a unpopular coin it can fork the blockchain causing invalid blocks that we dont get paid for. Funnily, NXTPool did exactly that shortly after my post. We mined Bytecoin and broke it and didnt get paid for a bunch of blocks.

I see we are being DDoSed again. It sure would be nice if the pool op would post on the forum once in awhile. Silence doesn't give me a lot of confidence that this pool will ever be successful. I'm diverting my THs away until things get sorted. The pool seems to have crashed and burned on launch from Beta.

See >>>> https://nxtforum.org/nxt-promotion/hashrate-org/msg20262/

Estimates of payouts were off as the wrong exchange rate was used, see full explanation on the thread above.

I was 'mining' for one day and stats page show this:

Why no stats and such a low result? https://i.imgur.com/uRycH5f.png

EDIT: What alternatives are possible for this? Love the idea of do mining to buy NXT :D:D If we put lots or hashes it would kill altcoins lolol

You mined for one day with less than 300KH and are complaining about having earned only 8 NXT?  At the current price? Wow

PS, follow the nxtforum thread for pool updates - payouts are happening for the hashrate pool weekly currently. They just went out earlier today.

I thought it was 3.6 NXT. And even though it's very low hashrate (I'm using my own computer)/prices, 10 cents in one day is much less than mining on other pools. But it's ok, didn't know they were 8.

In that screenshot - you were owed 3.6 from previous shifts.  Last shift you had earned 4 when that screenshot was taken, but like I said it was 8 in total when I checked (by then that shift had ended)
Payouts right now are happening when people hit 50 NXT, as there is a 1 NXT txn fee.  I can always pay you out next payout if you'd prefer.

Hashrate has had a facelift, it's innards changed and has relaunched  ;D

Consider it alpha until it has proven itself over time, but you may want to point some of your miners there and see how it goes.

Stratum ports are on the page now.  I will be getting the FAQ and Downloads section populated in the next day or so.  SHA, Scrypt, Scrypt-N and Keccak are all fully supported now.
I will bring a cryptonote port online soon too, to take advantage of the CPU's in your miners.

I have not yet imported the round recalculations for the missing SHA rounds from before - I will try and get this done tonight still, otherwise I will import it first thing tomorrow once I'm up for the day (I've been working on this for the vast majority of the day so far)

The my miner pages are accurate too, they will show you the current number of coins you have earned of what type, and approximately how many NXT you have earned so far in your current shift.

Ahh, it looks like a few of you may have already found the pool again. :)

Coin-Switching Ports
Scrypt - stratum+tcp://stratum.us.hashrate.org:3333
Scrypt-N - stratum+tcp://stratum.us.hashrate.org:2222
X11 - stratum+tcp://stratum.us.hashrate.org:4444
SHA - stratum+tcp://stratum.us.hashrate.org:5555
Keccak - stratum+tcp://stratum.us.hashrate.org:6666

username is NXT wallet, password can be anything.
If you don't know how to mine X11, Scrypt-N or Keccak pls wait until I have the how-to guides finished and on the site (and then please use the correct miners)
I encourage everyone mining to switch over to Scrypt-N/Keccak as soon as I get the guide finished and the mining software linked, as it is much more profitable currently.  X11 runs a lot less warm than Scrypt but historically tends to be a bit lower profitability.

Is everyone else getting paid according to what they expect to receive?  This pool started out so great, then went to 0 and back.  Now I'm having problems again.  Sometimes I wish I had given up on this some time ago.  I feel like I've given paradigmflux far too many second chances.

Pf is communicating regularly now but uses nxtforum. See https://nxtforum.org/nxt-indirect-mining/hashrate-org/580/

The bottom of page 30 mentions a bug for negative balances that he has been working on that may have caused temporary issues too.

Best to report bugs there, pf and hashrate are getting pretty good reviews so far from other users.
 Pf has dedicated all his efforts solely to hashrate from now on.

For anyone minting/mining the new mining class of MSCoins in Nxt's Monetary System*, they can use hashrate.org to mine other coins that are sold for NXT. The pool then pays out in NXT.

NXT is then used to pay the transaction fee to register the newly minted MSCoins in the blockchain. Someone is making $26/day (less electricity) at the moment, there are rewards for early adopters.

Ok, NXT is available as a payout option on my pool. Please help support NXT and the pool, come mine with your ASIC's that have been collecting dust ;)

Any problems, let me know as it took quite a bit to get this working and there may very well be some bugs to squish.
