i recommend https://localcryptos.com/. it's a non-custodial platform that doesn't do KYC. https://paxful.com/ is another option, but they will require KYC if you use their wallet/escrow system with that much volume.

ever since localbitcoins ramped up their KYC process and removed cash listings, the market has never been the same. you might need to list your own offers and use multiple p2p exchanges to get the job done with cash.

here is a list of other alternatives: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5224711.0

Oh, thank you.
The list of P2P exchanges is very useful...

If the only reason for buying Bitcoin is that the next halving will lead to some gains, I hope you will take some time to think again about your investing. Prices may not rise after halving, and you may lose your money, so it is better to develop a strategy before investing.

Regarding how to purchase, the matter is different according to your country and according to the personal data that you are ready to provide, so if you provide your country we will assist you with more detailed information, until that you can use Google (Buy Bitcoin from XXX.)

Install Mycelium[1] on your phone and use the local trader feature. It shouldn't be difficult to find people to trade with since you're from the U.S. Buying a large amount can be a bit risky if you're dealing face to face, so I would suggest buying in small portions from different individuals and make sure to meet in public places.

Alternatively, you can use Bitcoin ATMs[2] but you'll have to deal with the high fees and you might also need to verify your identity.

Precisely, if your only reason to buy now is the upcoming halving then might as well check the current situation since it might affect on what is going ahead. Last year, the speculation was a pure positive and exaggeratedly said by those who are in power but now it seems like they are very silent. Although the market will possibly to come up soon then best buying time is at now, but if bitcoin is not going be pumped after halving then it's done.

It's posted in the original post. He said living in Florida and he specified he wants to pay with cash. It can't be more clear.

@OP
if you don't find an offer that fits your need on P2P exchanges, perhaps you can buy a prepaid card and then purchase bitcoins online?

Right now is the good way to buy Bitcoin since the price is still falling because it gives you opportunity to gives you double profit when its start to rise. Dont lose your chance to buyed, dont let yourself regret this opportunity to not buy this kind of crypto because not all have a chances to have it , and mostly they wait the time when its price is halving befire they can biued it.

IMO it's really a great opportunity to buy some bitcoin before halving.

If you want to buy with only cash:
Buying with cash is not that hard if you know someone who know about crypto currency or related with it. You can find someone who want to sell btc for cash, then negotiate and deal with that person about how much you want to buy. It'll be better if you deal with that person face to face. Otherwise there is plenty of chance to get scam.

If you want buy with credit card:
If you have a credit card it'll be easy to buy it. Cause many p2p exchange will give you opportunity to buy btc with master card or credit card. Because you are a citizen of USA i'll recommend those exchange which is legal in your country. Like Coin base Pro (https://pro.coinbase.com/), Binance US (https://www.binance.us/en), Kraken (https://www.kraken.com/) etc.

Does anyone here already have the experience of a successful deal with this feature by Mycelium?

Since MyCelium is not regulated or acting like a usual exchange, means that no need for KYC here?

Seems like Paxful is really useful one to do that. Localbitcoins have no cash option at all.
Thank you for your advice.

It's decentralized and Mycelium doesn't hold any fiat or BTC so I don't think that submitting documents would be necessary.

If you're interested in trying it, here is a detailed guide: https://mycelium.com/lt/help.html

First of all, I think it is a very good idea to buy in the market now because after all of the coronavirus thing, together with the BTC halving event, the market, in my opinion will recover to hopefully a new high. As for the transaction for cash, you'd have to probably resort to meeting in a public space, face to face, having some security in place and do it that way. Cash transactions are less easier to do since it takes a little more effort!

Good luck, though!

How about you make use of platforms that are already popular and we’ll developed. If you’re looking for a p2p exchange then you should considering exchanges like LocalBitcoin where you can connect with sellers in your locality and buy as much as you want and also make payment with whatever payment method of choice. There is also Paxful, and it’s an already popular platform with a mobile app that makes things easier for you.

A lot of payment methods are being accepted on Paxful and cash is one of them. You should go for these platforms , they have been around for long and they can be trusted. Other good platform you can use is Coinbase, it’s  very safe, but is a Centralized exchange.

Hi, pezdspense. Think carefully before deciding to buy bitcoins for cash, as this leads to loss of anonymity, which is very important for cryptologists. Think about purchasing bitcoins in small batches to minimize the risk on one of the trading platforms of undemanding KYC.

Undoubtedly, today is a very good opportunity to buy cheap Bitcoin before the next halving, since prices have decreased by more than 30%.  But regarding the provision of passport data at the time of purchase, Bitcoin scares few.  I personally do not see anything wrong with what KYC will require for me when buying Bitcoin for cash.  Moreover, in my country there is no state ban on the use and trade of cryptocurrency, although there is a minimum amount for which additional documents may be required.  but for me it’s not cretical.  Why are you so negative about Kyc and afraid of it?

How can we guess, Satoshi was a cypherpunk and supported the idea of right to privacy. The idea of Bitcoin is that it cannot be regulated, but the U.S. government has always fought against the right to privacy and found the only possible method to control bitcoin transactions using KYC. Think for yourself in the financing of terrorism and drug trafficking can be used the dollar as it is still doing today.

Well, just hope that this opportunity as you see it at the moment won't change against you, and trust me we all have experienced this - buying when things seem like will pick up. I do think that despite what the future holds, its a good investment but it will all be long-term, maybe months maybe years  ???

I'm optimistic that one day, though you and other believers like me will reap off the benefits of buying in now!

I am shorting BTC now as if u compare ur life with the assets like Gold, BTC or some others, life is ur Priority 1.
You know that the coronavirus19 is still in a dangerous state, if you live in Europe, u will sell BTC or some other assets to buy some urgent goods like surgical mask and foods.
In addition, how about the situation if the founder of BTC, ETH and Atom getting coronavirus? How about the situation if Trump getting coronavirus? It will be a huge catastrophe for our economy. If the economy is down which means not so much demand in the world. Which direction will the assets price go? The answer is down!

I also do not mind advocating privacy, and I would also like the government to control my financial turnover.  But it seems to me that cryptocurrency risks staying in demand only on the black market if the state cannot control the cryptocurrency market.  I really understand that the government wants to maintain a monopoly on printing new money, and the use of Bitcoin, which has a limited amount, is contrary to their plans.  Nevertheless, in the world, everything happens not as we want.

The government can control your funds if you allow them to link your identity to Bitcoin addresses. If you have never been through KYC, using a VPN, Tor, it will be much harder. So it's up to everyone to determine their own level of privacy when using a Bitcoin and altcoins.

Hope OP listened to your advice. It's true that at this moment it's a quite risky to buy btc (or any crypto altcoin) cause market is moving so fast and i think also it'll be good idea to buy btc when market will be stabilize again. May be end of this month is the best option (in my opinion).

It seems to me that the situations in each individual country are completely different, because cryptocurrency users are constantly complaining about this.  For several years of my activity in the cryptocurrency market, I constantly use bank cards to buy Bitcoin or withdraw cryptocurrency to Fiat, living in Ukraine.  At the same time, I do not feel any infringement of my rights, and yet in my country, cryptocurrency is recognized by the government and perhaps that’s all said.

What? I dont understand what you are trying to suggest. We know that investing in crypto is very risky but I think it is the right time to buy in the market since the Bitcoin price is very cheap. It is the right time to accumulate and save more while the price is down.
Well, back to the OP's question, I suggest using the Binance exchange platform is the best to buy 2 BITCOIN. It doesn't need to have KYC because you are in the minimum of buying.

I live in Russia and our laws are not very different from those in Ukraine. Satoshi gave us the opportunity to use Bitcoin without having to go through the KYC process, but we create the links between our personalities and BTC addresses ourselves.

At first, I didn't think about privacy myself and let some exchanges get my documents. This way they were able to link my identity to some BTC addresses.

Now I have changed my attitude to KYC and stopped using those accounts to break all these connections. If I had learned about bitcoin privacy before I started using it, I would never have gone through the KYC process.

I think not only Binance qualifies for that, there are other medium exchanges that can fulfil his order. But remember, don't forget to transfer your funds to your own wallet after trading. Don't let your btc sit in the exchange. 2 btc is already easy on the eyes and they might flag your account for no reason.

Instead of cash why not buy with Credit/Debit cards? A lot of platforms are offering these services. I heard Binance is offering it but since you are in US try Binance US I am not really sure if they have that feature. Some wallet like Wirex, Atomic wallet you can buy there with credit cards but it need KYC and of course, check the rates if you are okay with it, sometimes their rate from current price has a big difference.

Why should you look for individual sellers, wouldn't it be better for you to buy it at a local exchange because it is a safe way for you to buy. Be careful to spend large amounts of money because it will be very risky and always check repeatedly before you make a transaction and also, buying now is a good idea and indeed we have to buy at a low price like now even though in the near future prices still have the potential to go down more low but that doesn't matter because eventually the situation will change more positively.

I agree you thought. All i tried to say that when market fall very badly people think may be this the lowest price to bye but after that they realized it was a mistake. So because of that i thought it was a good idea to buy btc when market will be more stabilize than this moment. Cause still people are in shock and because of that who knows crypto wouldn't show us more panic seller..?

We are both in a big fall plus halving is coming, combine those two together and if anyone has any money at all that they can spare it is the most perfect time to buy bitcoin in history. I know I don't have any money left, I know many of us feel the same way, however there must be some really rich people who do not care about the couple millions they could lose, lets be honest there are those people on earth who can lose 5 million dollars today and not shed a tear, those type of people just found the greatest investment of all time.

Gold is another, it is low for now with no good reason at all aside from being tied to oil, well oil is the same because we will still need it. Basically people with money could swoop in right now and buy all the low price things and make insane amount of profit in 1 year.

If you want to buy coins and make payment with cash you should check out on paxful.com, they are accepting lots of payment methods from PayPal, bank transfer, Skrill, Cash, etc.

Apart from Paxful you can as well check out LocalBitcoin, and then since you’re living in the US, if you don’t mind making use of a Centralized exchange you should look into Coinbase, it would be easy for you buy Bitcoin using Coinbase if you’re living in the US and when you want to sell you can also easily sell your coins and withdraw the money to your bank account and it’s quite fast.

I bought it and it already cost more.
What a fantastic opportunity for lazy investors like me ;)
you are not lazy investor mate instead?you are a supporter and believer of Bitcoin thats why you are so eager to own 2 btc in this falling market because all you believe is that sooner Bitcoin price will rise and make you profiting.
no one can blame you as you seems to be desperate owning that bitcoin.
anyway all i wish for you is to stay holding and keep that BTC until we reach heaven again and that is not far from this day forward.

There exchanges/custodial wallets that lets you buy Bitcoin quick and easy and avoid third party transactions or over the counter sellers cause you might be risking your money and credit card unless you really trust the guy or someone would vouch for him. The ways to buy Bitcoin are Bitcoin ATM, Coinbase or in Binance i believe they have pairs of dollars also.

you can buy directly on exchanges or OTC? E.g. coinbase, gemini...

Now imo its a great time to buy, literally price halvening before the halvening

You just said that the best way to buy Bitcoin is to coinbase and binance. Now the price of bitcoin is less likely to rise further Good time to buy Bitcoin. I usually buy Bitcoin at Binance and there is no fear of being scammed.

You are a newbie and it seems that you have money to buy 2 bitcoins, before you do that; it is better if you will invest in your knowledge first. It seems that your knowledge is still not enough because you do not have any idea on how are you going to buy bitcoins. There are a lot of exchanges but be sure that you will choose an exchange that is trusted and also have high security where you can ensure the safety of your funds.

It seems that you are getting hype because of the halving that come, it is the real reason why you want to buy bitcoin? Identify what type of person are you. Asked yourself if you want to trade it? or if you wan to be a investor where you will hold in a long period of time. You should also identify the risks where you should be sure that the money that you will put is the money that you can afford to lose. There are many people that are becoming hype because of the halving that is near, I'm not a fundamentalist so I do not have any idea if the halving can boost the price of the bitcoin. Just be sure that you are prepared to take the risks and unexpected situation that you may face.

Of course, now's an honest time to shop for Bitcoin because now Bitcoin prices are much lower If we buy and hold it now then the worth will increase then there'll be an honest profit. Because bitcoin is predicted to rise later this year. I feel you've got no idea about trade in the new trade market.

I agree this is the best time to buy Bitcoin because the price is affordable and you can buy as much as you want. I think we should take this opportunity to buy until it's lowest price, because not all the time can give us opportunity to have Bitcoin due to its too expensive in its real price. This happening in Bitcoin price are the time that many users of crypto are taking this opportunity to buy and the effect of it is the reason why Bitcoin rise little by little again.

I think you need to wait for shortly because bitcoin price now is increasing and reach $6,000. It is better to be patient for a while and wait for the bitcoin price is down below $6,000, so then you can buy bitcoin at a low price. The bitcoin price still at the downtrend now but the price increases today so that will not a good idea to buy now because if the bitcoin price is down, you will get stuck at that price and I don't know how long you will need to wait until the price can be back to that price again.

Twenty days before halving is the best time to buy altcoin or invest with bitcoin, I think many investor will buy and invest with bitcoin during ten days before halving and you have chance to sell your assets one day before halving because price increase up above 50% and never hold until halving time.

today, there are still so many people who doubt the halving effect. Well, maybe because before that the price really went down. however, I feel that the price increase is really potential and the best time to buy bitcoin is now. I am not sure that twenty days before halving is the right time because it could be that at that time the price of bitcoin was already above $ 8k.

You can buy bitcoin through any means you want. There are lots of platforms that would let you buy bitcoin and make payment with cash, but I haven’t bought Bitcoin with cash before, I think it requires making payment to the seller’s bank account and then showing them the receipt as a proof of payment and they will make payment of the cryptocurrency amount you need to your wallet address.

I haven’t tried that, I have only been making use of centralized exchanges for quick purchasing of Bitcoin with my debit card, it’s really fast and there is no need for delay.

Before halving coming still have chance to buy and invest with bitcoin in lower price, you can hold several day later and wait when bitcoin back lower price and buy it, I think you do not need waiting for halving coming to sell bitcoin. Best ideas sell one week before halving time and bitcoin will on the top price.

People doubt the affect of bitcoin halving mainly because they are unsure about how bitcoin will get more money during an economical crisis but they do not realize that less selling equals to going up as well, it doesn't have to be more buying.

That is something people will never realize, just to give an example, let's say something happened, something HUGE happened and there is not a single person who is willing to sell bitcoin under 100k, the buy amount has dropped as well, there just 1 bitcoin sold all around the world all day, just 1 bitcoin bought all day, nothing more, but since nobody sells under 100k, that means price is 100k.

Of course, nothing major like that will happen but most people miss that point of bitcoin, halving may not cause more buys but it will cause less sales.

It seems to me that it is very difficult to predict something, but nevertheless I always pay attention to what results were from previous halving, as well as what they brought for Bitcoin and for the entire cryptocurrency market.  It is noted that the indicators were much better after halving the rewards for miners.  In addition, it is necessary to take into account the fact that the quarantine situation worsens the performance of other markets due to a pandemic, which will lead to increased demand for cryptocurrency as an alternative investment.  And at least I hope so.

I also consider it unsafe to let any one approach your personal information so better invest, buy or use your coin but never let anyone to reach your password or your private key as in many private exchanges they will strictly ask you to provide KYC so just make your own choice abs ask them to give you safety insurance only then buy any coin.

If the only reason for buying Bitcoin is that the next halving will lead to some gains, I hope you will take some time to think again about your investing. Prices may not rise after halving, and you may lose your money, so it is better to develop a strategy before investing.

I dont think there is any direct effect of current situation on the bitcoin price. The market completely looks stable to me even when it had one quite a bad jerk in the last week.

Halving at block 630000 which is gonna be third halving will surely result in huge price demand. The obvious reason for that would be less number of bitcoins that would be generated by the network and demand as usual would be high due to "halving excitement" to the community. Believe me the chart says it all!

There are higher chances of BTC price hiking.

Its great way to look at it as investment "Chance"

Hi guys,

I live in Florida, and I would like to buy Bitcoin now.
I want to get some 2 BTC.

Where should I look for sellers who can accept cash?

Being prepared before the halving is a good thing that we should do because the history tells us to buy more. Though we can’t totally say that the price will go up right after the halving, maybe it will still take time. Look for a local wallet on your place to buy bitcoin or use some good exchange that is already accepting fiat money for bitcoin. Buy and be ready to become a hodler, don’t just think for an easy money.

Mentality should be positive and not just for a quick bucks, if you are aiming for longer periods of investment buying before the halving is a good time, you can either look for local exchange who catering your place or you can also reach out to those who are already into this industry and deal with them, just keep in mind before anything make sure that you are aware on how to secure your funds.

You should visit the exchange section - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 but there you would find mostly trading and I see that you want to buy bitcoins with cash.

I guess you should visit some person to person trading platform like localbitcoins (although I heard they have removed cash trades) so maybe try paxful or other platforms.

Something you should know about cash trades though, a lot of people will have criminal intentions when they see you with 2 bitcoins worth money with you so maybe either have some friends or security or maybe just meet in a hotel and trade where you feel safe enough to trade, I am suggesting this because I see that you are relatively new here.

Local bitcoin is never the place to buy bitcoin for crypto trader because the price of bitcoin there is always fluctuate than normal market but i will advise the OP to use coinbase exchange but if anonymity is concern i will advise him to search bitcoin available in Florida where he can buy direct through liberty x (https://libertyx.com/a/buy-bitcoin/locations) or search for a seller at the exchange section.

I think in your place you can buy a bitcoin because in every country right now bitcoin is available, or maybe try to find a person that have bitcoin that try to meet and pay him/her a cash to make transaction more safe.

It's good that they have person who are willing to invest to the bitcoin because for sure halving will help to the bitcoin to rise the value and gives the investor will get more profit.

Im blessed because my country have own wallet so we can sell and buy bitcoin with no problems and very fast transaction.

One of the good time to make earnings today is with the use of the bitcoin because we can now grab the opportunity to make an investment while the market price of the coin is low also in a different country they are accepting the use of crypto some of this wallet can be used for exchange or trading too because some of the wallet today are now supporting exchange at the same time but they do not give a good rate unlike the other platform still it is good if we made some research too to make sure what is the best platform suitable for our trading

Local exchangers which are available from your country are unfortunately not accepting deposit from cash but rather they are accepting through bank transfer, credit card, or debit card (preferably Visa or Mastercard). On the other hand if you aren't a fan of banking, you may try peer to peer transaction which I don't recommend as meeting up with another person is kinda hassle.

A very good decision to buy bitcoin now, especially halving will happen soon. But with the amount of 2 BTC which you plan to buy
with cash, it is very risky in my opinion. Because the number of 2 btc is very much in my opinion. It's best to buy from someone
you know, if you really want to buy btc with cash. But I would rather buy bitcoin from exchanges is safer, let alone buy for 2 BTC,
the amount is not small.

Bitcoin price has dropped a lot and it is certain that when this happens the likelihood of a price increase will be very high. However, given the world situation, the covid-19 is making things worse and it certainly will not work out as expected. Of course you have the right to decide whether to invest or not but should consider carefully because the risk may occur at any time.

Halving is not the best time to buy I think.

We never know what will happen at that time but I think people already missed the time to buy Bitcoin. That is the time when the price dumped at $4K, right now we are at $6K so I don't think we will be falling lower at that price. I think it might be the starting price of Bitcoin before the halving this upcoming month of May.

It is best for you to buy in legitimate Bitcoin websites like coinbase and binance. Because it is far safe rather than handing out your money to strangers. If you still want to pursue this then be careful in trusting newbies and even with those good reputation there are still risk especially when the guy is someone you can't see in a far away country.

If you really think so, time for you to think again.

Have you actually tried out any of these p2p platforms? I probably agree that if you have to trust someone, probably better to trust Coinbase because there is some regulation protection but I wouldn't say the same about Binance (not that I've checked).

I do a lot of P2P, mainly P2P actually, and I think that it's still very safe if done with the right people, and done on the right platform. With escrow and reputation systems, I feel it's safer to buy P2P, not to mention probably cheaper and faster.

Just make sure it's legal in your country, is all.

These exchanges provide everything and buying Bitcoin with Fiat just got easier. I am currently using Binance because this exchange is supported in my country and many traders here should be able to guarantee me when liquidity.

Of course, there are a lot of big exchanges that can do this but Binance is best in my opinion because I don't have any problems happening here.

You have two options if you really want to buy bitcoin using your fiat money. First, you should look for an exchange that accepts fiat in your country and a local exchange is the suitable one if it is available there. But if not, your second option is to look for a legit dealer that wants to exchange their bitcoin to your local currency.

Though the second one is a little bit risky as there are many scammers out there, so what I can suggest is either you should meet up or you proceed with a legit escrow if you found someone who is willing to deal with you so you can avoid being scammed or losing your hard earned money easily.

I will not be interested in buying it because I can trade it and in my opinion that is safer route. I find it comfortable with FreshForex (https://freshforex.com/), where I can do just that. The biggest benefit of trading is that you can do things with comfort instead of anything complicated, so that makes it just so good.

We do not know what goals the OP pursues, it is possible he does not care for money and he is ready to buy 2 BTC at any price, which means that he will benefit from a purchase at any time.
If OP is worried and wants to buy as cheaply as possible, then he will not lose much if he buys now.
Maybe it’s really worth it to wait a bit and see if the market goes even lower, but even if this happens, it will be a weak fall.

I do not know a good exchanger information in Florida, try to check if there is a local exchanger or service with what you need. btw if you want to buy just because it is halving then it is better to buy where the market is in red or the price is low. halving isn't certain to go up immediately, so be careful when do "buy ask".

Now exchanges that support Bitcoin trading are easy and don't take too long to wait. I have used Coinbase since investing in this market and until now it is still very convenient for me.

Of course there are still many ways to buy Bitcoin but it is best to look for exchanges that support P2P and always learn how it works to make trading easier.

You don't have to go far on looking for someone to accept in cash while coinbase is there, also if you know about luno you can as well use that to get the amount of bitcoin you want.
