i recommend https://localcryptos.com/. it's a non-custodial platform that doesn't do KYC. https://paxful.com/ is another option, but they will require KYC if you use their wallet/escrow system with that much volume. ever since localbitcoins ramped up their KYC process and removed cash listings, the market has never been the same. you might need to list your own offers and use multiple p2p exchanges to get the job done with cash. here is a list of other alternatives: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5224711.0

If the only reason for buying Bitcoin is that the next halving will lead to some gains, I hope you will take some time to think again about your investing. Prices may not rise after halving, and you may lose your money, so it is better to develop a strategy before investing.
Regarding how to purchase, the matter is different according to your country and according to the personal data that you are ready to provide, so if you provide your country we will assist you with more detailed information, until that you can use Google (Buy Bitcoin from XXX.)

Precisely, if your only reason to buy now is the upcoming halving then might as well check the current situation since it might affect on what is going ahead. Last year, the speculation was a pure positive and exaggeratedly said by those who are in power but now it seems like they are very silent. Although the market will possibly to come up soon then best buying time is at now, but if bitcoin is not going be pumped after halving then it's done.

It's posted in the original post. He said living in Florida and he specified he wants to pay with cash. It can't be more clear. @OP if you don't find an offer that fits your need on P2P exchanges, perhaps you can buy a prepaid card and then purchase bitcoins online?

Right now is the good way to buy Bitcoin since the price is still falling because it gives you opportunity to gives you double profit when its start to rise. Dont lose your chance to buyed, dont let yourself regret this opportunity to not buy this kind of crypto because not all have a chances to have it , and mostly they wait the time when its price is halving befire they can biued it.

IMO it's really a great opportunity to buy some bitcoin before halving. If you want to buy with only cash:Buying with cash is not that hard if you know someone who know about crypto currency or related with it. You can find someone who want to sell btc for cash, then negotiate and deal with that person about how much you want to buy. It'll be better if you deal with that person face to face. Otherwise there is plenty of chance to get scam. If you want buy with credit card:If you have a credit card it'll be easy to buy it. Cause many p2p exchange will give you opportunity to buy btc with master card or credit card. Because you are a citizen of USA i'll recommend those exchange which is legal in your country. Like Coin base Pro, Binance US, Kraken etc.

Install Mycelium[1] on your phone and use the local trader feature. It shouldn't be difficult to find people to trade with since you're from the U.S. Buying a large amount can be a bit risky if you're dealing face to face, so I would suggest buying in small portions from different individuals and make sure to meet in public places.
I didn't know that Mycelium has a local trader feature. Does anyone here already have the experience of a successful deal with this feature by Mycelium? Since MyCelium is not regulated or acting like a usual exchange, means that no need for KYC here?

Localbitcoins have no cash option at all. Thank you for your advice.

It's decentralized and Mycelium doesn't hold any fiat or BTC so I don't think that submitting documents would be necessary. If you're interested in trying it, here is a detailed guide: https://mycelium.com/lt/help.html

First of all, I think it is a very good idea to buy in the market now because after all of the coronavirus thing, together with the BTC halving event, the market, in my opinion will recover to hopefully a new high. As for the transaction for cash, you'd have to probably resort to meeting in a public space, face to face, having some security in place and do it that way. Cash transactions are less easier to do since it takes a little more effort! Good luck, though!

I was planning to buy on weekend. I guess it should not go below $6000 a lot. To me it looks like it will slowly grow from now on.

How about you make use of platforms that are already popular and we’ll developed. If you’re looking for a p2p exchange then you should considering exchanges like LocalBitcoin where you can connect with sellers in your locality and buy as much as you want and also make payment with whatever payment method of choice. There is also Paxful, and it’s an already popular platform with a mobile app that makes things easier for you.
A lot of payment methods are being accepted on Paxful and cash is one of them. You should go for these platforms , they have been around for long and they can be trusted. Other good platform you can use is Coinbase, it’s very safe, but is a Centralized exchange.

Hi, pezdspense. Think carefully before deciding to buy bitcoins for cash, as this leads to loss of anonymity, which is very important for cryptologists. Think about purchasing bitcoins in small batches to minimize the risk on one of the trading platforms of undemanding KYC.

Undoubtedly, today is a very good opportunity to buy cheap Bitcoin before the next halving, since prices have decreased by more than 30%. But regarding the provision of passport data at the time of purchase, Bitcoin scares few. I personally do not see anything wrong with what KYC will require for me when buying Bitcoin for cash. Moreover, in my country there is no state ban on the use and trade of cryptocurrency, although there is a minimum amount for which additional documents may be required. but for me it’s not cretical. Why are you so negative about Kyc and afraid of it?

How can we guess, Satoshi was a cypherpunk and supported the idea of right to privacy. The idea of Bitcoin is that it cannot be regulated, but the U.S. government has always fought against the right to privacy and found the only possible method to control bitcoin transactions using KYC. Think for yourself in the financing of terrorism and drug trafficking can be used the dollar as it is still doing today.
