I don't believe in ICO ranking sites. Most of them are paid and not real.
The more they get from the team (payment) the better the rank they will give!

What I am looking for in ICO is looking at MVP, live and working products. Something that really can make a difference. Not just empty words with fancy pictures.

I often say that don't trust ICO ranking sites, because most of them display invalid data! I think we have passed the days where ICO with a rating that can assess investor crypto on certain projects and this is evident from the failure of the ICO and market decline in 2018 until now!
I understand that there are so many projects issued or protected by ICO for reasons that are not recognized - making the crypto community very disappointed and distrustful!
Now this problem becomes more complicated because most or if not all, this ICO ranking site lacks credibility and will rank well for projects with monetary imbalances that make crypto invest in a very bad light.

Lastly, before you try to take part in the crytpo project, reconsider and make sure to conduct due diligence first, always be alert and suspicious as much as possible!

You are just saying the truth. ICO ranking has become a business to get free tokens from the project team. The more you pay, the higher your ranking. It has now become a bazaar and I pitty those who rely on ICO ranking sites to make decision.

I don't think there's really a lot of people who relies on the ranking of ICO ranking sites. Most people use this sites to get the latest news on the bounty market and having a number 1 spot makes it more exposed but I doubt that people are literally taking number 1 as the best. Of course research is still the key.

All of them are known to take visible and individual incentive to provide ICO a good review. The only thing I use ICO rating site is to get a reference to every social media, announcement, bounty related to the project. They also provide team member and their social profile if available and you can use it to know more about the team.

I have seen the article but forgot and all I remember is that ICO rating can be bought so that the ranking goes up or as if it has high hype. But in reality it is fake, to trap investors into wanting to invest their money there. Therefore, it's better not to just look at the rating, but look carefully at the project from the whitepaper, the team or the roadmap.

All the rating websites are biased and they charge the company for providing bias review. Using information from the websites are okay, I do that but no one would buy their words at all.

That's only some but there was also a lot of credible site outta here. You should not generalize all of the sites become very bad sites that can't be trusted. I have been using icolist site as example and it's never putting the scam project into the list and that depends on the developer who managed that site.

This is common sense. Most ICO sites are all shillers and giving out positive feedback only, I always remember ICOrating which is worse, cause even the good project has a negative or very low score on their rating. That will be your score if you are not pay them or applied on their service. But when you got pay, even your project is a shitcoin, expect some good feedback and rating from them. Even their so called advisors who gives the shill to these projects are also paid and if not, I assume there are all fake people and account.

Most of ICO ranking sites are full of fake people and fake review. They can rank shitcoins if they get paid. Thus They fruad with innocent people by telling them false statement

They are just a bunch of businesses that only think of how they can get a lot of money even if they promote those scam projects. They don't even investigate if it is real or not as long as they are getting paid.

You're right. All projects have high rank on ICO ranking sites. Most of those projects fail. The only valuable thing ICO ranking site provide is links to project website, social sites and telegram group.

Or, you could create your own rankings and ratings.

A lot of ICO ranking sites are already being created and you just don't know what to follow.
Some of them ranks one ICO at 3 stars while the other with 5 stars.
I don't know where they are basing all of this. Are they even making surveys about this or is it all just an imaginary star rating that is based on how much they will pay.

that website is created only to earn money from developers project owner every time they listed a coins in their website. The ranking website will only be legitimate ranking if they make it voting on the user's instead of they are the one who will decide, the rating they give is base on how much the project paid them.

ICO ranking sites are paid advertisements. They are not reliable at all. Any ICO who has money can have a good rating. Your own research will always be reliable, just don't rely on anything else.

Definitely, don't trust any of them. Even the popular ones because they are the ones who are receiving large paychecks just to post good ratings. As we have seen, even if those ICO projects have high ratings, still very few of them emerged to be successful in delivering their objectives. So even if the rating is perfect 5.0, don't be deceived by it. You should do your own digging if you have the intentions to invest your money.

You make a good decision. We don't know if they give real information about each project or not because many of them give fake news to the public. We must be careful when we want to search for information about the project, so we don't get the wrong information. We know that the project wants to get more investor or participants that can help them to promote the project, but if they cannot be transparent to give the information about the project, then it is hard to believe that ICO ranking site.

People are staying away from rating sites since last year after investors and bounty hunters find out that they are conniving with dubious projects to give them a good rating, they are one of the reasons why investors are losing money and ICO losing money.

It is true, don't ever trust any ico ranking sites, aside from they are getting paid, they don't care about anyone who will be the victim of their promotion. What's important to them is their payment and nothing else.

ICO is no more anyway, that's a relief because the scam rate was higher with ICO but things get lower when IEO was launched, you can rely on top exchange for excellent ROI, like binance or okex

as far as I know, they provide rates based on the completeness of the information. honestly, I still read some information there. Yeah, but the most appropriate is that they don't believe what they say. it is better to find the information itself, which is more important than just looking at the rate given by a site.

Ranking can be made by order, as well as articles to support the good rating. The most important thing from the new project is the use case and also the product to be achieved. With the support of a solid and competent team, I think a new project does not need a review from a certain person because investors will see for themselves

That was the common opinion in this forum about those ICO listing sites and I think it is true, Because base on my experience, not all ICO ranking site is truthful about the information and data that they were provided to the public and because it was a paid listing what can we expect? I think thats the reason why too many ICO was turned into an exit scam.

I hardly trust their rankings due to lack of transparency.  I believe ICO project ranking will be more suitable on well decentralized platform.
Lots of people will do what is wrong or throw morality away once enough money is dangled in front of them. This is what well decentralized crowdfunding platform can solve.

As a start, ICOs are long forgotten because of their untrustworthiness where the team decides the fate of everyone which mostly ends up bad, therefore as it stands now even with MVP, I don't think there will be anyone who can afford to take that risk. Even these ranking websites aren't making it easier because there have been projects which still exit scam even when they have good ratings, that is to say there is every possiblity they collected money from these projects. Nevertheless, nowadays with or without MVP, most projects are going for IEO since it is more better both for the team and investors. In addition, although IEO offers better chances, it is still advisable to make your research about any project you have in mind to invest in.

Are ICO's even happening in 2020? I thought we only have IEO these days, done by popular exchanges like Binance. Or then normal airdrops for holding Bitcoin or some other coins.

Yes, it is happening, and most of them are scams. IEO is really good, but many investors have not updated the information yet, so they are still trying to invest in those ICOs. Especially when they read false information on ranking sites.

I won't give names but I think one or two are OK. You have to have it at the back of your mind that despite their review it does not guarantee how a project will go. Some project fail at ICO, IEO level if they don't raise enough fund to carry own with the project

Since ICO is no more I don't use any ICO rating websites again, icobench and icodrops used to be my favorite but not anymore since IEO takes over and to win big in IEO investments all you need is top exchange

I've been hearing about that MVP but they're all say and nothing to prove that they actually have an MVP project.
Stop lurking with these ICOs. It's not worth your time anymore, the back won't be back during 2017 and it's all gone. Although, some are still trying and they barely get attention.

ICO ranking sites are now becoming business website and they are basically paid. They give rank to the newer projects in exchange for cash. I don't believe in that paid ranking sites. It enhances the cheat to collect the cheater from the investors. This sites don't have business ethics. So investors should avoid ranking sites to check rank, rather they should research before invest.

Most of those sites are paid, I even read an article about that though I don't have the source anymore. Way back 2017 and early 2018, ICO Sites are okay but not that good when it comes to ranking ICOs as most of them became scam, if someone here remembered Hashcard - it got 5 stars and even got good reviews but it turned out it is a scam project, just giving an example.

Its better for us not to trust those ICO ranking sites instead we should make our ranking based on our assessment and make them a supporting reviews. They are getting paid for making those rankings and not really choose which one is the best coin for them. You should rather find some news and reviews here in the forum which no one is bias about their opinion. I suggest to just be careful in some ICO projects right now, its hard to trust them nowadays.

We should only trust ICODROP. Because they are very honest in their assessments, they do not accept money from projects to make good and positive comments for those projects. Also we should evaluate the project according to personal experience, surely it will be a lot better

I think you must try to check it directly and there was a lot of successful ICO too and in this case i meant about ICO not IEO.

This is true, most ICO ranking sites get paid to give a project good ratings. I remember when there were so many ico ranking sites like icobench, icobazar, icoratings, icobird etc etc where guys check before participating in any ico. Funny enough some people just rely 100% on information they see on such rating platform, hence they consider it their own research. The only ico site i still follow is icodrops, I'm not saying there is no form of paid rating there but atleast their ratings look more genuine. Also, OP as you mentioned checking MVP or working product, that's a great approach but nowadays advanced scam projects use an MVP to lure in investors, with no plans to develop the working product. Most roadmaps are just paper work, and will never be actualized.

ICO is more risky than IEO, in my opinion, although there are some successful ICOs but it is very difficult to choose the next successful ICO, but for IEO we can easily guess it, participating in Binance or Bithumb I am sure IEO there will give you profit

ICO rating is usually their developers give bribes to give a very good rating, but at least with ICO rating we can find out what platforms are developed from a project and the team behind the project so they can find out whether the project is a scam or not.

ICO was way better than IEO back in 2017 if not for scammers that start deceiving investors and ruin every last trust about ICO, IEO still gets the job done but not successful like the past ICO days, ICOs are no more so no need to use ICO rating websites again

I'm looking at them but I'm not trusting 100% of their recommendation, although they are trying to be reputable again, there are a lot of parameters but rating sites should not be on top of your list of experts to recommend good projects.but surprisingly many projects are still doing it and wasting their money to get a good rating.

You are saying right thinking about ICO even ICO good days was behind and never not now. Never trust ranking/rating site.
Investors are very smart now so they're don't care about rating site because knows that every rating site are fake.

Personally i will analysis project roadmap, partnership, IEO many think then i will consider investing process.

I agree with you, that you should never fully trust the ICO website. especially seeing the ICO lately is sometimes not as real as it was released on the ICO ranking site. therefore we need to analyze first before taking action in investing in ICO.

I feel surprised that people still looking for ICO and ICO rating websites! ICO market is totally dead my dear, one of my friends was an admin of Icobench, she said Icobench is dead but it was the biggest ico rating website in the peak time! Most of the ICO rating websites took money to give higher rank. I saw Tokoin, Sero had less than 3 ratings in Icobench but they made history on IEO launchpad! But Icobench gave 4.7 ratings out of 5 to the Satt, Pointpay ICO projects! And now they keep running the ICO sale for over 1.5 years!
Buddy, don't invest in ICO, don't waste your time behind it. Rather learn trading or invest in the top exchange IEO!

ICO rating sites are just some sort of paid services and do give fake reviews in 2018 and early 2019 I rely heavily on Icobench and all the projected I invested in from Icobench ratings failed. Anyone expecting Miracles from ICO should better seek counseling.

So many people have been moving to the IEO but there are still some ICOs were getting a big success on its crowdsale too. There must be an exception for an ico with a very bad fundamental.

The idea has changed for some of the ICO review site, they rather bring investors and project team together for critical examination. They help with AMA on there groups, distance themselves from any project with their ratings and provide information that only verifiable.

The ranking site is not that eye-catchy or trusted anymore, Last time I heard there was a project with high ratings but It turn out to be a scam which is unfortunate for investors. Those site is being paid just like what you said also positive feedbacks and review can be paid too, manipulated by those scammers. So the Ranking site is not a thing anymore, Better review for yourself and find some facts.

During the popular ICO era many rating sites sprang up where they gave rankings to new projects to register on the ranking site so this was to attract investors at that time, but I think now the site has changed. their accuracy is less precise so many projects fail with high ranking.

Absolutely! Every rating site is fake and biased! Investors were fed up by seeing this continuos scam, fraudulent behaviour. So they left ICO things by all and made ICO a past history in the crypto industry!

I like your researching strategy, it's cool! I do the same. I look at the project partnership, website technical things and interface, media coverage, working roadmap, team member, social channels' real activities and so on!

The rating site power is to already gone so investors people now be carefull so we don't care about rating site. I know the project team can pay for up rating then they’re will give five star It's just impressed ways.

Those ranking sites have long lost their glory. Projects developers too should have known that it does not work again and yet they will keep wasting their money on ephemerals.
It is better for a project to make a good and reasonable partnership, than to go about listing on sites that are just after money. Those sites would give a project the highest rating, yet it will end up as a scam project. Some record total failure. So, I sometimes wonder what they are even rating.

It's true that not most of the ICO where successful and it's very hard to find one who can possibly not being a scam after the ICO. Investors lose trust in ICO and having IEO is a game-changer in terms of crypto investment knowing that it is safer because of the token listing in exchange after the token sale.

This is actually a typical question for a beginner. Personally, I already forgot when I paid attention to the ICO rating from analytical sites.They are engaged in nonsense simply siphoning money from investors and ICO.

yes the ico ranking websites do not work for me as well but if I am looking for some extra details they can be of little help but definitely it is not wise to base your investment decision on the ranking done by these websites, even if you like a project and the ranking is high as well even then you have to do proper due diligence about that project before investing because icos are a high risk investment and we know most of them will fail so invest carefully.

You are right. Ico rating websites should not be trusted anymore! They gave good ratings by taking a high payment. Icobench had this allegation! ICO lost all the faith of investors, and all the ico related websites, articles, guidance everything is gone for good! IEO rules now and I think IEO idea will last a long time!

Is ICO still working?

I guess this way has been leaved by most developer project because of lack investor. The investor only trust an IEO who has a little chance to be scammed.

You do need know the ins and out of the project by yourself. It is not good to invest money but we just rely on someone's else suggestion even he is an honest person.

since ico is popular in 2017 many ico site ranking makers are willing to give paid reviews and now because ico is quiet I don't think they can do this anymore and many provide standard reviews and many investors don't care about ico and now their focus is only on ieo or other sales models besides ico.

Is there someone still running an ICO? I see now that it was pure IEO and STO, well anyway ICO ratings is nothing because many project has high ranking and they gone or the project got failed it was not all about the ranking it was all about the project and the demand of it in the future.

Ico ranking site were not there to be trusted; they are there to be a guide as to the information you sought; each ico ranking site has criteria to list ico projects or ratio 1-5; which sometimes include kyc.

There are no live and working products during ico, the ico was launched to crowdfund money to launch the project; if there was enough funds, there won't be reason to conduct ico.

when these ico ranking websites are just starting their services to the community, many crypto users were still referring on them regarding the capability of the project. but currently, i don't think many people are still checking the ratings of these ranking sites. it has proven that even if the rating is high, it doesn't guarantee that the project can be successful. and because most of them are paid sites, they will give good ratings even if there are some questionable info on the project.

If that was about icobench and that exchange site has a very bad reputation but it looks like what already mentioned by OP is about all of the ico ranking sites.
I guess not all of ico ranking sites are bad. We should not generalize all of ranking sites are bad sites.

This is why fake projects often hold ICOs, because they only want to target investors' funds and then run away.
When I first joined here, I often made a review of the ICO ranking site as a reference. That was actually quite helpful to me in getting to know the project. I am not an investor, just a bounty hunter who is trying to get the right moment to join a party, so I only take information related to the token economy and the sales agenda.

You have to search it for yourself because most of ICO projects now are totally shit and cant be trust of.No matter how they do look legit
but in the end of the line they do either turns out to be a scam or a dead project which would really be a total waste of money.
ICO investment is dead nowadays and i dont know on why there are still people whom do consider out this option.Its your choice though
because its your money after all but do research up everything before putting up some funds.

If I think never relying on ICO rankings in a project and for me the ICO ranks as looking for bonuses and the more we invest the capital then the bonuses will be greater, and we also have to be careful because a lot of data is not correct in the displays in the ICO rankings, Munkin we have to find other ways to not feel at the disadvantage.

Are you just knowing ICO rating sites are paid to shill a particular ICO? How do you think someone will just wake to shill a particular ICO? I have never believed in these ICO rating sites though. I can always do my own research about a particular ICO I want to invest in.

Shilling is part of these ICO rating sites, if you are familiar with ICObench, you will noticed that even not a good project there is rated so high. This is not surprising cause I heard from a friend that there is payment to have a good score on their rating. Also there is a portion of kyc status, those who have been graded positive few of them are not real. What does this mean? That the site really just altering the result depends if the project paid their dues for a good review.

ICO ranking site is an independent platform for the analysis and research of ICO (Initial Coin Offering) as regards to who is doing best among the new ICO.

Yep the more the team they will paid, the ICO rating will get high score or maybe in perfect score. This is not good if we rely in ICO rating, we don't know the highest score can be scam.

Many trusted ICO rating websites in 2018 and they end up losing money in the process, I believe many have learned a lesson here and ICO rating websites aren't popular anymore, since ICO is no more these websites has low web traffic now, IEO is more popular now

   Coinmarketcap is accused for the same thing, they took money in favor of exchanges and coins that paid,
same is with ICO ranking sites. Never believe in them, take a pick for some informations, but anyway check

in the past to find a valid bounty I relied on the icobench rating site and I must say that their ratings / reviews of the ico were quite true, now for the ico/bounties i am looking here on the forum but only very few valid are left

Therefore, the analysis is getting more and more appreciated and only understanding can benefit us. Even with projects that have MVP products, it will probably be a scam project. We should check out their partners and angel investors. That's what we need to know about. Because the more partners, the CEO will hardly scam and the project will be of great help. That's the point to analyze when analyzing a project.

Icobech was most popular rating site in 2017, there was huge traffic but right now they manipulating in all of projects, they provided paid rating. Icodrop is little bit transparent, mostly i visited to find more information about new launched projects, i think this one is huge informative others rating site.                   

That's reasonable point, ico rating sites are not trustable anymore the owners of these sites only give priority to those projects if they're getting paid huge amount of money from the project team so it clearly indicates that these kind of rating sites are providing almost false informations and reviews about the projects just because of money. We must be very careful before getting any project informations on these sites.

as well as sites to view coin rankings, exchanges like CMC many say cmc is fake and paid.

If we can't even trust the ICO itself, why should we trust another 'ranking system' by some dude over the internet? There ain't no such thing as a free lunch and there site actually have motive of their own.

I always remind that anyone should not rely on ICO ranking sites, because ICO ranking sites that even have high rankings will not guarantee you. They work, are paid and provide the best data to display. You need to be careful with ICO ranking sites.

As far as I know, ICODROP is still good for us to follow, in addition to the other sites are bullshit. They will never be honest in evaluating new ICOs and confuse many people with scam ICOs and good ICOs.

You just be careful but not totally rely them and make them support for your own ICO ranking. I think there are few ICO you can rank them now since ICO are not yet popular when they used to. You can simple determine them and choose the right ICO you will invest and trust. Everyone already knows the behavior of sites manipulate the ranking of an ICO project, False ranking is not only when the developer makes a project but even when their tokens are listed on the Exchange there are sites manipulate ranking. So we are not surprised if those who have a lot of money can buy fake ranking.

Do they talk about Cons of the project? Do any of them ? Mostly they don't. If any one of them does then it is likely that he is not bought by the project to do the review about them.

I think people should know to research on their own no matter how much the project is on buzz and no matter how many advisors are advising to invest. It's your money and you should do your due diligence. They are not going to compensate the money if the project scams.

So far icobench is the only ico site that has already revealed to get paid to list a scam ico but i don't even think about there were so many sites were doing the same like what icobench did before.

Until now, I also don't really believe it, but I still use it as a reference. they certainly have their own strands to give branches to a project. if they do it randomly, I'm sure the site won't be famous. however, I prioritize my own opinion rather than looking at the rate on the site.

Yes, I do agree with you, there have been many ICO ranking sites that had given lots of good reviews and ratings to the many ICO which hasn't have the potential because this is paid service and if ICO pays well to this ICO ranking sites they would give good ratings as well they would represent the ico like potentially great so everyone can join it. That's why keep doing your own research to find out what's right and what's wrong.

DYOR is a must but if we smart enough and we will not fall into the trap. We can use them all to be our reference to get more data related to the ICO or IEO. They were also actively listing the new ICO and IEO, we will need them all to help us to get the best decision from our research.

The fact that they provide some kind of offer for the projects that want to pay certain amount is already a dead giveaway but it seems for most of people nowadays their existence is still relevant enough that new ico ranking website keep appearing and offering their services in various groups. This can go both way I think. You can not say everything wrong at first time but the reality is different. In cryptocurrencies arena there are so many projects are coming on daily basis. Some project maker are looking to make a brilliant idea project to help the society but some are looking to just do the ico or ieo then never look again. ICO industry is like a heaven for all scammers, do you know from which source money comes? Mostly from people that are using ICO investments due to money laundering. So not only ICO creators are scammers but also some investors. What a crazy market.  ::) :D

It makes sense, but not all of us are scammers, there are honest people in cryptocurrencies. In case you don't like something about some new project you should just skip that one, nobody force anyone here to invest in unknown projects that can make you some profit, or not!

Well they have their own marketing strategy to attract investor on there project, It is really hard to know legit information and rely on any ranking site. It is better to investigate with your own and try to rely on other and ask with there opinions also.

However, to preliminary assess a project, we also need something to compare, preliminary assessment. So, personally, I think we can still rely on the reviews of those sites to rate it in part. the question here is - is there anyone here who really trust those ICO ranking sites? maybe they can be used as a guide but nothing more than that. we all know that they are putting a lot of info that are misleading to potential investors. of course, they always want to please their clients, so if their clients are paying -- are they going to give them bad reviews?

ICO rating sites usually shills project but of course with payment. I have noticed this on the past, even though your project is good they will still list it however if you dont pay them with some review expect that you will have a bad or low points on their platform. Example of this is ICObench which giving a high score to a shitcoin project and even the KYC of the team has marked checked even though the users or profiles are copied only. I dont want to be on their scheme method, nothing can beat money for creating a good ICO project.

I observed most of these ICO ranking sites tend to rankup sponsored projects. Not really objective about their reviews. I see most of really good projects don't get high ratings. Anyway, these sites could be a way to know what ICOs are upcoming or currently in the market. Just reinforce those reviews with your own research.

Just as not all projects can be trusted, not all ICO rating sites can also be trusted. As already said, most of these sites are just paid to show the upcoming projects and do not necessarily perform any research on them. The responsibility is always up to the investors to do their due diligence.

It is not really about not trusting the website but more like not trusting the owners of the ICO's that would basically pay everyone to look good. That is what the bounties are as well, they pay you 10 bucks or 100 bucks or whatever with their tokens and you see their followers who will be paid spreading the name around everywhere in the whole world, I do not really support it all that much but I understand it. Now, if the bounty hunters are doing it that way, why wouldn't others do the same?

ICO  ranking websites are only doing what a sensible business manager would do, they get paid to rank the project high and that allows the company to continue being profitable. If someone offered you that much money you would take it too, or at least you should take it to be a profitable website.

it's better not to take part in ICO let alone participate in it, I always avoid it,

Yes people not believe in ico ranking site because there has paying service. If a project will pay some rewards then ranking site will giving big ranking place. I shouldn't like ico ranking site even we have more enough knowledge for investing a project.

I have lost huge sums to IEOs and ICOs in the past simply because I didn't have the right advice at the time and just kept going or trusting in Whitepapers and ICO rating sites or directories. This simply doesn't work most times and these sites or directories are paid to say or write what they people want to see. They do it so tactfully and people tend to believe them in the earn and thus, part away with their monies for investments. In the end, these projects they hype up don't live up to expectations resulting in people losing money. You always have to do your research about any project before putting in your money. That's the only task you owe yourself. Don't depend on third parties that are actually after their pockets.

These ranking sites used to be good and then they started doing the wrong thing which led many people into losing huge funds in bad projects endorsed by them; sincerely it is a huge mistake to trust those ranking site. It's good ICO are no longer existing else people would have continued using them and thus investing in some scam projects which will have nothing but hype. Very good point. One cryptocurrency expert once told me, "new projects/new cryptocurrencies are for the crypto experts". What he meant was, since cryptocurrency experts know how to perform adequate research on new projects, it is good to leave it to them. Newbies must always look on already listed coins (large cap and mid-cap) to avoid scam or failure unless the newbie can research well.

You can call them fraud if they are taking money from scam projects and then rank them to be the best project in town. I understand that they are doing business ranking these shitty projects but even for that they need to have a background check whether the project is legit or just made to lure people to invest and then run away with the money and none of these ranking websites are not doing any of these background check.

That's the true. They all charge something to put out a word about your project on their blog and theirs nothing wrong with that. Cointelegragh an charge as high as 2k -5k USD to put and article. The most important thing is giving a honest review

It's really a shame, just imagine if ICO rating websites are reliable, imagine if coinmarketcap lists only very good coins, maybe many investors would have been safe, maybe millions of money won't be lost today, in crypto space it's all about money now

some sites sometimes give fairly honest ratings. it's just that the team is sometimes not very good at moving the concept. however, I took a reference from the ICO rate site maybe only around 50%, and the rest I did my own research in accordance with the standards that I made.

I once followed a highly rated ICO by this so called ICO rater I was very disappointed at the end of the sales it was a scam despite the high point the ICO was placed,  I took it on myself to embark on through research before investing in any ICO and not to  rely on any ICO sites, I had read many bad experiences of investors relying on ICO sites which later resulted to scam I am sure some would-be or newbies read through comments here before taking any ICO related investment decision

ICODROP is still good for you to refer to, I have used this site for many years and see the projects listed there are the best and worthy ones for us to invest. Btw never invest in ICOs not listed there, otherwise you will lose money

i believe on you because you said you did a research and not just relying 100 percent on the site  . people here should now also woke up and not just blame the site  . 

better if they only blame one to two bad ico site but looks like most of them said that majority of these sites are not legit   . they didnt knew that this words also affect the reputation of those who are only telling the truth and not going to be biased based on the payment that they receieved

It should always that way, if depends from how people understand each investment that they are planning to participate, if you see that IEO which being held to big exchange and you have money to spare, then go ahead and trust your assessment.

though to some extent you are because some site judge base on their on research which might not be complete or some window dress their research report because they dont want to work some judge base on is this i love i.e been sentimental and some base on who pays me and most.
but at least their are ones that are right but we fail to consider them, though they are few that is it.

I stopped lookign these sites long back i dont say most of them are scam instead all ICO rating websites are scams . As you said based on the ammount they receive they will rank the ICO . Once it failed or proven to be scam then immidiately change the ranking or stars within no time . In crypto space no where we get genuine information including CMC and Coingecko . We have to follow the events and moment related to project .

I as you say. more often on rating sites, you can find more links and information about the project than on the project's main site. Firstly I study the site and secondly look at rating sources in order to find more information.

one important think for myself until now, why i must trust ico ranking site, they are got money from shitproject to promote them and make their project has a good reputation, they are claim "we are professional and expert about this", ewww shit that embarassing me when i'm read the statement LoL

I feel like I can't also trust those sites. They are mainly paid for advertisement. So I rely on the partners of the project and the people who working behind it. That's what I look for when I plan to invest on a ICO.

I agree with you. Having been read many reviews of ICO ranking sites, I don't get real analysis on the potential of most of the projects they highly rated. I think these sites are a good way to get aware of new and upcoming projects but never trust hundred percent of their review. It is still better to do your own thorough research about the project before investing.

Quite right, unfortunately ICO ranking websites were made just to get as much money as possible from cryptocurrency companies that want to place their company on these sites and the more money such cryptocurrency companies offer to these websites the better rating they will have.

In the past these ICO rating websites actually used to do proper research into the team and then they graded the project. But i guess now everyone is money hungry and so are the ICO rating websites. So they just take handsome amount of money from the marketing team of the project and give that project good rating, in fact now to look legitimate these projects are also ready to give these websites money, which wasn't the case a few years back.
