Guys! It Looks like Binance Twitter Account has been hacked. Stay away from that fake giveaway.

This is alarming seeing the same tweets on twitter not only binance but including other popular platform and individuals this is what I have known so far, @cz_binance,@kucoincom, @binance, @Gemini, @Tronfoundation, @justinsuntron and many more. We don't know if it is a twitter security breach or a browser security breach. Seeing on the scammer address now it has accumulated a big amount already.

It is so sad to see things like these happening in crypto space. Why will some people somewhere decide to hack into account of some people. Everybody need to be very careful not to be a victim of these situation. If the people concerned can also make public declaration about the accounts, it will help people to b careful.

i have also seen this , meaning we need to be more careful . these hackers actually scam some gullible people of their btc . Newbies especially have to be careful how they respond to some online investments that are not verified.

never trust tweets even if it's from an official account, twitter is just bunch of bullshit and not your source of credible news. rather if you want to find an info just see the announcement in their website or just contact the customer support directly.

Twitter is a popular platform, more popular than the official website, so if the account is not compromise, why not trust them?
Actually, I like twitter as it gives me faster information from the site that I follow, but then, it's not advisable to just believe on their tweet, you also need to verify in the site as there you can also read the full information.

Not just Binance but there's plenty of other most crypto influential personalities twitter accounts got hacked as well. And even other popular exchanges were hacked too.

How come all these different exchanges twitter handle getting hacked at once, how come it is possible to hack each and every handle from different exchanges and that too at the same time. May the twitter server is compromised rather than these individual exchanges getting their account details hacked. The hackers are active and they are trying their tricks in the market for a long time and hopefully we will not hear about a major exchange hack anytime soon.

Even justin has already made a 1 million bounty to reveal the hacker who has already hacked so many twitter accounts. Twitter is also very slowly to give a respond regarding it.

for that I have never trusted the giveaway or airdrop that was announced on social media, I only believe if it was announced on their official website. Twitter must improve their security so that incidents like this do not happen again

This is really bad for the market because I know more than 13 BTC has been stolen very easily. In addition, this also affects the reputation of many other celebrities. It's really dangerous, I believe there are people who believe in those posts and send money there. This is clearly a security flaw of Twitter when a series of large accounts related to cryptocurrency were hacked.

One common thing about the hacking is that they all doing giveaway to receive double or triple of what you send. This alone should send a caution signal yo anyone. Please everyone be careful. Don't hunt for giveaway.

Not really suspended, Twitter support said they disabled the tweeting features of all verified accounts and also they are dealing with account recoveries but they also mentioned there maybe some tweets from the hacked accounts again so they warned all the users.

Not just Binance and correction, its Twitter platform is the one got compromised using those influential accounts to do a scam giveaway. Actually if your a follower you would believe it since it coming from an official account thats why it is likely possible that some users send funds since it was legit tweet from the accounts involved. But curiosity will always give you doubt since its too many account and why sudden? Then thats it. They got hacked.

Not only binance, every God damn crypto influencer accounts and exchange accounts have been hacked, it's all on Twitter and their weak secured website, they need o upgrade, I'm not sure many people fall for this though

whats affect crypto the most is when an account like politician who have fanatic fans got hacked and making the whole crypto bad due to the scam tweet it's really gonna give an effect for long term and something not to be overlooked.

it was a hack of administrator account, or something similar, that is the only way to hack all accounts at the same time, or otherwise they were hacking accounts for some time, and wanted to use hacked passwords at the same time, to increase their impact

Perhaps this is a major security hole of Twitter :) I think in the near future we will see a lot of victims who have been scammed via twitter channel, the owners of all exchange sites and crypto project should remove Twitter out of their main notification channels.

Approximately, scammed 12 BTC likes generated fake giveaway by hacked most of the popular People's twitter handler. Yeah, giveaway is the best trap for the scammers so that i can't believe it.                    

As we are getting more digital and relying more on apps we are getting more insecure I believe, Twitter is a big platform if twitter can get hacked I think anything could.

It was really terrible yesterday when a hacker got in prominent twitter accounts and scammed people of $7.8 million in a few hours. Jack wasn't expecting that hit.

There's a lot of other famous people's account that getting hacked, even people that doesn't related to cryptocurrency at all but  they had a huge audience. Sadly there's hundred of transaction that getting through to the hacker wallet, since people think that it was a legit giveaway because it was posted by a famous person that people think there's no way they would scammed people.

Everyone should realize that this doesn´t look like a tweet from CZ, those who follow him know his tweet´s style. And if you closely go through all of his tweets, he is not posting links to third-party websites. But the question is how hackers succeed to hack so many accounts?  ::)

Thanks for your quick alarming post. Crypto related people don't believe that Bill Gate will announce Giveway post like- send 0.1 BTC and receive 0.2 BTC within 30 minutes. This is fraud and hackers task. They hacked most of the public figure and crypto exchange and posted same type of post. We should not fall in such trap.

it's probably Twitter's fault for letting hackers gain access to these bunch of verified accounts.

It's a type of attack in which hacker/attacker uses psychological manipulation to trick someone into giving sensitive information in this case they gained access to internal system and tools of Twitter.

Obviously, have never seen binance announcing giveaways in bitcoin, always in USDT,  this hack is something users should be careful with it. But the question here is,  who's to blame about this hack now.?  I think it's twitter because they couldn't constitute good security and privacy policy and tools for their users. This isn't the first time crypto official page is been hacked. Feel pain for victims already.

Just before a couple of days I was posting on a thread people have become smart and stopped falling for these scams and then this happens. Atleast Twitter has started to block tweets having crypto address in them to stop these scams.

Social Engineering attacks usually involved trying to trick people under disguise to convince the victim to give hacker confidential information. I think hackers able to convince influencer's management staff for these accounts to give them confidential information and hijack it as we have seen.

this bitcoin scammers that hacked binance or more verified twitter account will earn money money if some followes really thinking this is real person behing this account. i am sure people be more curious when they heard about crypto market, and also this accident could be good marketing to make crypto known by more people.

If this is how crypto will be known by many, that would be a bad idea and might cause fear and panic to more people. The victims also might find it hard to recover from their losses, peradventure they gave out their all to the scammers.

Panic because of what reason? If someone should panic it's the social media users who found out their accounts aren't safe and all their private data stored on social media can be easily exposed.

I am not sure how to react to this because this is all over the news and on the internet. There were many hacking and scam incidents in the past but never to the level that was achieved a few days ago. And twitter's security is also affected since the issue happened on their platform. So I guess what this means is that the users will now have a hard time trusting twitter since hackers can now basically enter an account and post malicious links for their own benefit. What is that? lol the problem was on the twitter and it has nothing to do with the password as when the email that already used to sign up on twitter was not getting hacked and everything will be undercontrol. The problem was hacker changing all of email.

Trusting is subjective though, it's a third party and centralised that's why it is really hard to guarantee that everything is really safe on their end. And this is one example, everyone is affected specially that accounts that got involved. And report surfaces that the hackers was able to get hold of the tools that internal twitter employees used that's why it is easy for them to access the accounts without requiring any 2FA.

Wow! I didn’t even know that the Binance Twitter account was hacked too. I wonder how all these hackings happened at virtually the same time. High personalities and crypto exchanges! Something seems fishy here. Not just a random hack. It looks hugely organized. It looks like they didn't need a password to those accounts. So, the question is how did they get in?

No this is a social engineering attack so mostly doesn't matter if you have strong security or not. More likely a breach in human communication protocol and allow hacker to get hold information to log in. Look up their report explains this matter.

Twitter has been the ones we should blame for this because they did some internal breach from their employees to get thousands of accounts hacked. Twitter should be held responsible for this horrible incidents and should be made to face the consequences. Nothing like passwords was compromised but the entire twitter internal servers.

Yeah it is possible. You can't trust the security team as well here. Well first thing is that people are the ones who trust such messages easily not knowing how scammer here operate. Well it was really a big mistake from Twitter and I wonder if they are gonna compensate to those awho have lost.

At first i thought it was just CZ Binance that was hit, it is sad find out that Inance, Gemini, AngeloBTC, cobain, coinbase, and kucoin was also hit. I don't blame these cryptocurrencies or their admin, the 1q1 of the blame goes to Twitter and it's lax security.

its actually active now  . after the hack , people cant sleep doing updates on what will happen afterwards  . i didnt feel bad things happened but only good because eth , btc and few other coins are now increasing  . all influencial people were hack because they have more followers ( crypto related people ) and its easy for them to manipulate cryptos  or get a profit for those people    . binance isnt the only one that is affected with it but if your a binance user youl be more concerned with your trading account

This is not really good. Just like for login, nowadays 2FA or multifactor authentication is necessary, I think all the news and promotions also needs to be verified with multiple media accounts. We need to be cautious and see if any promotion is also on all social media like, Twitter, Facebook, and community channel on telegram, we can trust that promotion. But people fall into it as soon as they see it without verifying authenticity.

You should also asking google youtube etc, why they don't upgrade their security yet?. why they leave scammer hacked youtube account day by day and month by month?, twitter don't leave hacked standing a day or two they moving fast to handle it.
