Great quotes but I would only like to add one important thing. They are all related to poker-like games. Player vs player games where none of players has any statistic advantage over others. Here your strategy (mainly money managment) and given rules may work. Nothing will ever work in games with house edge that are based only on luck. Any strategy, motivation, different approach will only make you lose more. The more you play to more you lose.

And now i will only ask if professional Poker player is a gambler? If not (for me his not) than those rules are not related to gambling.

That's why poker-like games (PvP, no house edge) should not be called gambling and those rules does not apply to gambling (roulette, dice etc)

Not all the players are responsible and knows how to manage their money when playing gambling that's why most of them regrets after losing a game. As a player we should play responsibly and we should also limit our playing time in order to avoid addiction co'z if you are already an addict, you cannot control yourself anymore. For me, quotes are just letters and words. Even we say they are inspirational and will help some gamblers out there to become more responsible while gambling. At the end of the day, it will still their choice, either they will do what these "inspirational gambling quotes" said.

I didn't say inspiration gambling quotes are bad or no effect, YES they have an effect on some person that's why it is created and I agree with all these quotes and it will help and boost our emotional part especially when money is already involved.

Point 2 would be faced by many or say almost all of them at some point in their gambling life during initial days or may be now as well when they gamble and lose it then they start playing to recover the losses. I was also doing same mistake during my initial days but then later on after some experience understood this is not the right way atleast for me, because this just going to keep me on stress if more I continue to play to recover and even if lost that money then I am in more debt than before.

I don't that this is a good quote for gambling nor having a right and correct thought at all. Basically, luck is just a mere chance of winning, a thing that we cannot see nor expect and predict to come. Hence, no matter what preparations we made and opportunities we have nor having such preparations meets those opportunities, luck still is a mist and a mystery that no one has been mastered.

Hence, we don't really create our very own luck, things really just depends on the reality's process and outcome. If we really are creating luck, why are there still people whom are unlucky after being successful for so many times?

I ask my self before a question if what is really a gambling to me or how can I find it entertaining but this qoute gives a definition to it  , specifically on the part where it says  " if you bet you can make a three spades , that's entertainment " It didn't only mean by playing card games but this also applies to other games . If you're a gambler then you know what you gotta do, you ain't playing a single game wishing you could win a million dollars. The issue with that quote is that Seneca is not really talking about luck but about your fate as a person, basically if you prepare yourself then sooner or later an opportunity will arrive that you will be able to exploit to the best of your ability, as you can see he is not really talking about luck at all but about how you can change your life at any moment as long as you are ready, so while this is a good quote I do not think it has a lot to do with gambling in general.

This is really we tend to ignore and should focus on it. Most of us do opposite of this quote. Even i sometimes keep on playing and do not stop. This makes me lose and regret. If i had stopped after the winning, i could have taken profit at home through online gambling but my greediness and laziness make me lose more.

For me, this is one of the hardest thing to do. Even if we want to quit, there is really something in our minds that keep us going. It is really hard to stop and most of the time, there is no way to stop it. What makes us unable to stop is our greediness, especially if we continue winning. Well, this was caught my attention. I love to play a poker game but sometimes I did not consider this as a game based on luck. This game need also strategy and skills to have a better move like a good hand card. This is a good qoute for me too as sometimes as a gambler we lose our money despite the fact that we are having a great winning percentage due to lack of discipline, as they say, bankroll management is very important and that requires discipline to be able to effectively do it.

That is correct. It is always easy to say but very hard to do, easier said than done as they say. Sometimes before I start gambling I already have a plan as to when to log out and how much money to lose. But oftentimes that plan remains a plan. Planning is easy, executing the plan is very hard. I oftentimes ended up losing more than I planned and playing longer that I should.

Now, if it's hard stopping while you are losing, it must be harder when you are winning because you have the money to play more.

This is an important thing because some of them do make money in gambling but then greed controls them and in anticipation of making more money form it then might lose their profits and also may lose the money which they started playing or more. Thus in the end its only regret that they dint quit beforehand.

In #7, on the other hand, for me it's a reminder that we should know how to handle our money, whether we win or lose. It's about being smart. The amount of money you got is nothing when you don't know how to handle your finances well.

This actually is the best quote imo. I've always considered investments as the same thing as a gamble, but it's more on the business side. Probably the main and most considerable difference between the two is that gambling is a form of an "entertainment" while investments are "businesses". Same reason why most people see gambling in a bad side, since you're technically spending for "entertainment" (and could go up to huge amounts at that), while investment on the other hand, is a legitimate "business".

Not that I can blame them, the concept of gambling is bad has been instilled literally everywhere, even when I was a kid at that. Though they do forget that most of our decisions are actually just the same as gambles and having a biased judgement on it is pretty stupid.

I agree, but it's sad that some of gamblers tend to continue even more after they already won a big amount of money. Thinking that it will be multiplied even more. At the end of the day, most scenarios like that results huge loss in the end of the day.

It's quite ironic that there are such thing as inspirational gambling quotes while others are struggling to get out of gambling addiction, but it always depend on the mindset of the person on how will they take such quotes when he's gambling.

Come-on, these "inspirational gambling quotes" are for the help of gamblers. Seeing them as quite ironic shouldn't be portray negatively rather positively, they have helped many addicted gamblers, some have adopted these common quotes which is currently helping them from be mislead while gamble. There are sensitive and important lessons from these "inspirational gambling quotes", choosing that which will be of greater help is encourage among gamblers(including gamble addict).

Applying these up into your gambling activity then it would really be helpful.These are the most common one but to believe that majority will really fail into this matter.
Im not saying people are dumb but gambling industry wont really be that much a successful one if people are really smart on handling out their finances.So it basically
shows up that lots of people do still fall into that pit of addiction on where spending up tons of money for their gambling activity.This isnt applicable or saying for all gamblers
