i think Uniswap Airdrop token (uni) is currently the biggest Airdrop in the history of cryptocurrency. to drop a whopping sum of $450,000,000 IS Something so huge. i stand to be corrected if i am wrong. i believe that the every successful project does not care about dumpers that will dump token after sales or distribution. 40% of the successful participants in the Uni airdrop dumped their rewards in the exchange and it is interesting that the price never went below 3usd.

this is to tell you that a successful project needs no market manipulation to drive volume. it is simple. develop a token, have a very good use-case and watch your project thrive in the market. 

Not really, because bitcoin holders made lot more rewards by holding it for example the forked coins, there are lot of forked coins got good value initially and still BCH has good value in the market so if we calculate the rewards collects of all time per bitcoin will be like $5000 per unit for sure.

Many users dump because of the fear of dump. And the dump doesn't even affect the price of uni. I think this is the best airdrop ever truly. Its an easy one too.
And price might actually go up than the amount people expects.

Yes thats the biggest airdrop in history but only for those who trade on uniswap before sept 1, some do get 1600 uni because he use many accounts when he is trading on uniswap so luckym

I thought that it's hydro which is the largest airdrop. But IIRC, they're almost near to the value of each other.

Absolutely. Uni did what no could ever do and it paid off. Thought they did distribute 50% of their inital supply as an airdrop, the project was still left with tokens worth $450 million

Apparently, we should see the forest behind the tree... What is the reason Uniswap is doing such a huge airdrop? The project seems to be fairly legit so they didn't need in the first place such a huge airdrop in order to make marketing promotions for their project.
Is it something that we cannot see behind this big airdrop?

Maybe for now thats the biggest airdrop that happens in crypto, but who knows there is another project that can give an airdrop more than uniswap did. And im waiting for that.

There is a slight difference between uniswap airdrop and what Bitcoin holders get, you must have Bitcoin to be able to get forked coins which means you need funds to buy if you don't have BTC, while uniswap airdrop is trully free. Uni Airdrop participant very lucky earn huge money.

You didn't know the airdrop at 2017 ago when the ICO was booming. Each airdroper at least got $1000 in each project at that time, comparing to now 2017 was a big reward for all airdroper all the time.

But I'm scary for the DiFe project will be like ICO event who just booming for several times and after that the project was leaved by the developer. Because, if I see its concept is really good, the DeFi system could change the bank system. Because you can borrowing, lending or everything thay bank did is easy with the DeFi system.

Uniswap airdrop is great I must confess but if it is the biggest airdrop, I don't know for now but I think it is a great airdrop for everyone that were able to claim. UNI is also a great project that is bound to strive when the market recover, I am looking forward to get some when the time is right.

The biggest airdrop was for BCH I think, they gave you the same amount of BCT as many as bitcoins you got, after it it was uniswap with 2000$ , I think ont had a good airdrop too , I would say airdrops hope decentralization more, some whales gather the tokens but with airdrop, at least the more amount goes to public.

It certainly helps that uniswap is the single most important and single most used dapp on ETH network, but ok.
But i agree, the airdrop was wonderful, and made me some good free profit.

For me, $UNI was the biggest airdrop because to get UNI we didn't have to anything like holding certain coins or tokens they just straight forward gave us UNI tokens if we had ever swapped on their exchange.

I was sad I missed the opportunity for earning UNI. I joined the link given by a friend but it needs transaction before September 1 in order to claim their airdrop in the amount of 1000 dollars. A lots of crypto friends got the reward and I am happy for this project because they are helping somebody at this time of pandemic although I did not get the reward.

The UNI Token airdrop as of now is the biggest one yet .I'm sad that is missed it just because of the high gas fees , Who knew that its coming this big .

Actually back in 2017 Ontology airdropped 1000 tokens to anyone that signed upto their newsletter and telegram listed at 10 buks for an easy free 10k. I missed that one unfortunately. Also one could argue that that the biggest airdrops were probably the 5 btc faucets in the early days.

Yeah, but in contrast with others, this airdrop is not for everyone, but only for UNISWAP users. What a pitty that I never used UNISWAP exchange so I can´t participate in the airdrop. But for the long term, I am little bit confused what is the token good for.

That's right, I think so that UNI is the biggest airdrop that I know during my time in the cryptoqurrency space, even as long as I am in this forum I have never had big results or the equivalent of 400UNI. This is a ridiculous comparison, because I dont not expect my job to far behind with just 1AIRDROP (UNI400: $ 1500)

As far as I've seen UNI was the biggest but on the other hand, Ethereum was airdropped also, for free. And the price climbed more than 1k$. I don't remember how much Ethereum they've airdropped but I think those hunters got more than UNI gave them.

Maybe the total amount being airdrop will be the biggest in history, but if the reward got by every person will not be the biggest, because last 2017 i got 5000$ form the aidrop of hydro and btcred etc.

Not everyone was aware of this airdrop or have traded decentralized exchange because so many traders are very much into a centralized exchange and do not have the opportunity or time to trade in the decentralized exchange like UNISWAP, some people are lucky to received airdrop even if they only trade once.

UNI did it perfectly, they broke people's doubts about airdrops. As is well known, Airdrop always gives false hope to airdrop hunters, so that the airdrop is always underestimated. At first some people didn't really believe in UNISWAP Airdrop, some even consider it a scam. Then they felt regret when they found out the price of UNI in the market. Hopefully other airdrops can do the same thing as UNI, I hope that really happens.

Not the biggest airdrop,,, we had many in the past, and if you think about all the fees it generated then it was not exactly "free" because it was just giving back some of its profits in the hope to generate even more profit.

Also, the price was nonsense and when it all settles down in a few months then we shall know the true price.

Yes, that's right, it does seem like a fortune that only a few people have, and it is only natural that many traders are very interested in centralized exchanges and don't have the opportunity or time to trade on a decentralized exchange like UNISWAP, because of the exchange. such as Uniswap only experienced trending this year, while previous years Uniswap did not have good development so it was not used by many traders.

Airdrop isn't profit for me. I have wasted a lot of time in airdrop, they distribute, some scam. The one you get from the airdrop is later dumped and project dies off just like that you can't imagine it happening to you. They allow you to sign in with your data and they go away.

Unfortunately I only found out about this airdrop after it had passed, this money would be very welcome in this pandemic period  ;D

It's true that many have missed this giveaway. Some considered the project a scam, while others simply didn't follow it. I like Uniswap and use this platform and therefore I'm one of the airdrop contributors.

yes, somehow I personally still don't believe in the promotions or some sort of airdrop made by the Uniswap platform. they have spent $ 450m only for platform users and for free, this is really unexpected although I believe that Uniswap has nothing to lose after doing this free coin. I think that this is really a way to attract market investment in the days to come.

This is their marketing strategy, by providing huge airdrops to their loyal users, a fair price for early adopters when most of the crypto world still underestimated Uniswap. And look now, a lot of crypto enthusiast's attention is on Uniswap, many new users have come and enlivened it, most of whom may be motivated to get lucky as well as before, and some of them are taking advantage of interesting moments and services at UniSwap. Lots of new projects, new programs and new services, even scammers are trying to come up with something similar using the word UNI or SWAP, lol.

Uniswap dropping the biggest airdrop to my knowledge and me completely missing it. I cant really say it was a near miss for me since i never really planned on using uniswap due to its higher fees but good to the people who benefitted from it.

Because way back before, I read a thread where Gavin, one of the Bitcoin Scientist is asking for people to test the bitcoin network, he gave out tons of Bitcoin and ask them to test it and he gave a big thanks for those who will return the BTC. Of course with almost 1500 BTC Given, not everyone has the decision to return the BTC, thus, they have huge fund If they will sell those BTC at this time. At this time, Uniswap also profited too much from the volume of trade that is occurring to their platform, that is why they are capable to aidrop that huge amount of fund following the release of LP Tokens in which people could be a liquidity provider.

I dont knew much of Uniswap, but I remember few years ago someone said that his stellar airdrop was worth $70000.  Ofcourse he was not airdropped $70k, but price went up after time to that price. If he was dumping it immediately he would get way less.

I will disagree with this not only uni swap give the biggest airdrop if I remember xem have it way back 2016 when all the airdrop participants that never sold thier tokens became rich easily this is only if you don't sell it the day they give it the free coins. What uni give is still small compare to xem take note many participants receive big amount  that time .

Not really, the liquidity providers and those who regularly transact on UNISWAP get more. They accept risk in DEFI and accept higher than usual transaction costs, accept the risk if the DEFI protocol is at risk (they can lose their money).
People who accidentally generate transactions on UNISWAP before September 1 are really lucky.

in fact as you said Uniswap coins are ranked the best in the market, even though UNI is basically an Airdrop, currently the price has skyrocketed, far different from other coins, can beat coins like EOS, etc., which are not Airdrop.

I think the biggest Airdrop in the history of cryptocurrency has happened last week and that is the UNISWAP (UNI) Airdrop which was claimed by those who have transaction in UNISWAP starting September 2019 onwards. Lots of users are being benefited from it. And the thing that the price wasn't affected by the dumpers that was really awesome. The next Ahuge Airdrop for me is HYDRO. And some we're saying XEM, but have no idea on it.

All time high of Hydro token is $0.015260 USD which I'm not sure how much had been giveaway. Not everyone got their Hydro.  UNI is the only I've claimed.

Even if I got them for free there is still the feeling that I wanted more of itwhich is why I'm still trying wait til the price fall below fown to $3 before buying back, its not sure whoever if its going to really dip. After 4 years when inflation starts, you think?

UNI is becoming very popular, but just like hydro, not everyone can get it. I also don't follow airdrops much. As far as I can remember, there used to be a POS token and also an airdrop from a blockchain app that gave XLM to their new users.
many people are interested in airdrops, but not me. only a few that interest me and most of them are already on the market.

I do not get how people could consider something they haven't cashed out yet or even have the ability to cash out as free airdrop. It is not an airdrop, I could right now create a token, make you lock it down if I give it to you, so you will not be able to send or receive any of it anywhere for example, and tell you that when it is on an exchange and unlocked it will be a million dollars each and you will be rich and give you 10 of them, will everyone believe they are super rich? No. Why do you think this one is?

Uniswap is a scam type of thing, it is not totally scam but it is close to it, people will sell it for few dollars eventually when they realize nobody buys it for hundreds of dollars, let all uniswap to be unlocked and you will see how cheap it was given out.

Well having an airdrop now is mostly on a promotion. Uniswap does give airdrop tokens and it seems to be effective, Their project got into different news articles and hyped people so much that attracted some investors that are hoping to receive some airdrop. This airdrop's main purpose in the project is to give a hype to the people that leads to the project's success. But as we know Defi project won't long since it is hype-driven.

Unfortunately, you're right Uni only airdrops to current members but even still having such a generous drop is impressive!

And the fact that despite the dump the token maintained a healthy value indicates more than the fact the project is good and led by a leader company but more than that it points towards the remaining holders seeing value in the token - something rare!

There were so many coins in the past that operated on very high supply and it did not make them valuable or popular.

Yes, this might be the biggest airdrop in history, and in our current situation, no one expected an airdrop that is really worth it. Also, I have encountered recently a post where he received a total of $2m. Though, not everyone received the same amount, but they are still lucky to receive an airdrop.

Seing UNISWAP growth I think it's pretty much safe to assume that it's gonna be a succesful project in the next few years, so many people providing liquidity while many people also swapping their coin using this service. though their UNI token is kinda uncertain and maybe exist just for a gimmick (my opinion). but their airdrop still great anyway.

Uniswap indeed invested so much in the airdrop, almost half a billion dollar was distributed to the community. I sincerely wished I used Uniswap and qualified for the airdrop. I only do hope that those who received this airdrop utilized the funds very well in taking care of their issues. This corona period is quite devastating to some persons and getting that kind of funds on a platter is miraculous.

it is definitely the biggest airdrop in the history of crypto and unfortunately for me I was not part of this history, I can only tell it but didn't experience it and so it makes me sad to think about it, things like this only comes ones in a life time and as usual I miss out but still happy for those who got lucky.

If you look at the value of the airdrop during its distribution, indeed, UNI is one of the biggest valued airdrop. If you hold on it, I think it would still much bigger as the Uniswap platform really has great long-term potential. One project that also gave such big value is also HYDRO. I can recall that during its pick the airdrop value reached even as high as $3000+.

You should not include Kicktoken because their airdrops is useless they are locked and no way to trade it or send it, it's useless token in receiver's wallet, I congratulate those UNI receivers because that's a lot of money and can be considered one of the biggest airdrop for the last two years. You may be right on this one dude, but don't you know that because of what happened to this airdrops for the UNISWAP more scammers have been also arising here in this thread or even in the other forum site. Do you know why? because the scammers know that there is a lot of community still hoping that there will be another airdrop that will appear and do the same thing just like what UNISWAP did recently, so the scammers used UNISWAP to their own token where they're promoting it to scam others. I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed these things anyway.

Scammers will continue to exist and they always took advantage to all trending moments. I can barely even tell the difference between a scam and a legit project.  we can certainly must be careful by choosing a project into a crypto investment

A truly incredible event was Uniswap Airdrop. But unfortunately, I didn't get this airdrop. :'( After Hydro, it's probably the largest airdrop event. Those who got it are really lucky.

This is what I would like to say to those who say that bounty hunters are token price ravagers.
There have been a lot of bad projects in the past and every time the price crashed, the investors there would blame the bounty hunters and be disdain. Hopefully, after this UNI airdrop campaign, they will better understand how the market works so as not to make false judgments.

Didn’t know that they did that much for an airdrop. $450,000,000 is a really huge amount. Before now I think the project that did the most was Stellar with their$125,000,000 airdrop, that was a really huge amount. Other ones I know we’re Decree, BitTorrent and Bitcoin Cash.

Well, that goes to say that we can’t tell what the future holds, there are always going to be competition. Another project can still come out tomorrow and try to do more than the one that these guys have done. Whatever , I hope that these guys succeed with their project and not fail. They know what’s best for them.

It depends on the project if they are strong in building their tokens on the exchange then the hunters will not be wronged even though the tokens are thrown away from the airdrop, the decline will not be big, it's just small projects that are always like and at the end of the hunters are the ones that investors blame .

I can't agree less. Uniswap indeed made several millionaires with their airdrop which gave users of the platform over $2,000 worth of airdrop. Its so sad that I haven't used Uniswap to be eligible for the airdrop, but I congratulate those who were fortunate to be eligible.

Almost every user has mentioned UNI as the biggest airdrop in recent years. In the past some projects have allocated big volume for airdrops, but those were very small in value as the token isn't high as the value of uni. Those tokens reached peak during the 2018 bull market causing a big value to it. Anyhow I missed it, and same as me more users are feeling bad of missing an opportunity.

Actually if the airdrop pay huge amount of token ,then the value of token they are paying will reduced his value.The do when the payment of token was send to the participant.This was the strategy many crypto project doing.But the fact is,the hunters will get something for the work as a monthly payment.Don't aware of this project .

Yes it was ended. The airdropped  token is already in exchange and it's strange that the price didn't went below 3$. However, it's not a sign that project is a real success even the token has a real use-case.
And as mentioned above, it wasn't opened for everybody, only early users of Uniswap who received the airdrop. According to the five pages replies above, none here took part of that huge profit.u

How did he receive 400k UNI? As far as I know all users got 400 UNI, if wallet was opened before August. 400 UNI is also a big reward only for an airdrop. I'm very curious to know what was the condition to receive these rewards? Hopefully in the next bull run we will receive more rewards.

I see. So it's not really an aidrop but a reward for early adoptors. Users must have hold their token if it didn't drop like any airdrop. No surprise tho, because of uniswap defi projects have become the trend.
