Title: Is this the long awaited bull run?
Post by: Tomiwa_akin on November 25, 2020, 09:04:44 AM
Comparing the current market movement to that of 2017, it's kind of synonymous and a pointer to the start of bull run. Although some parameters differs and will have impact on this current one (if so) which might limit the longetivity and price impact and people might be carried away till the reverse begins to happen.

Please share your views if this is the bull run we are waiting for and how long should we expect it to last?

One of the troubles faced in crypto currency actually rallies round comparisons; 2017 is definitely different from 2020. The fact that crypto currency dipped so much in march during the pandemic; survived and experienced an upturn in prices would tell you that 2020 is definitely different from 2017. Even if you compare the charts; it is still different.

This is 2020; and the best way to enjoy the profits and participate in the bull run is to follow the process; and treat your investment without comparisons.

It's just less than $100 away from the All Time High (ATH) I think this is the bull run we are all waiting for. Maybe it wouldn't up ending here we might not know it can still increase more.

The real beginning is next year, this is somewhat comparable to 2016 for me, lots of movement and then next year will be big not just bitcoin but including other alts like Ethereum, XRP and others.

So currently we have seen majority of alts moving already and then next year we might see them reach their all time high or even surpass them. So we will see, next year will be very exciting if this happens.

Yes it is, from 2018 we didn't experience any kind of bull run but this almost end of the year we experience the most awaited bull run. Btc almost reached its ATH price again and ETH got to reach 600$ since june 2018. its been a wild ride for crypto wonder what surprises will it bring next year or will it continue to surprise us this year.

This time is much different from 2017, when investors now have more knowledge about this market, so the decision to move money into the market next time will be big corporations or corporations company and investment regulations. And that will be the real big money that makes this market really BUMP.

Yes, maybe this is the hope that seems to be real, even though everyone knows the bullrun market will not last long but I believe that until the ATH BTC is not reached then the bullrun will continue to run in the altcoin section.

The Bitcoin network has improved since 2017, that's why I believe this bull run will be different from the one of three years ago that brought about the ath of $20k, thing is first there was a pandemic that made quite a lot of Bitcoiners actually doubt that there will be an effect of this years btc halving on the price, but that wasn't the case, the pandemic didn't seem to affect Bitcoin, or if it did, only for a few weeks, then there's been adoption from traditional institutions and companies that you wouldn't believe they'll be interested in either investing in bitcoin or even making it their reserve asset.

Having said that, the point remains that this year was pretty good for Bitcoin, in terms of adoption and the rest, and more people seem to understand the network even more, I believe the bull run will surpass that of 2017, and we'll not see any crash afterwards, or the media calling it a bubble.

Some cryptocurrency exchanges saw the All Time High but wasn't pronounced as much but we are still awaiting for such exciting moments in the history of Bitcoin. There's are rumor around that there will be more long term bullish run which we have been awaiting, but we should wait for this rumor turn into reality. This year bullish momentum is far different from the past event and we are enjoying the moments with Bitcoin.

Yes, I think it is. Each and every coin may not see a price increment but top coins will definitely will. People have become familiar with cryptocurrency investment and they don't tend to invest in something they have just yesterday. But this time, this run is going to be here for longer than the previous time.

For some users I think this is the bull run they are waiting but for me I'm expecting more bullish price maybe around $25k to $30k that was just what on my mind but we never know what will happen for the following days.

In my opinion, I would not want to make comparisons between the events in 2017 and that of this year. These are two totally different scenarios and that of 2017 was not even affected by any global event similar to the current pandemic which resulted with the brief period of halt on world economies. I would also not going to be too optimistic yet as my expectations for Bitcoin and other alts are a bit high. If some people are contented with making up to 3 to 4 times their investment. I would settle for a lot more. I want BTC to reach 50k. Yes, it is high, but achievable nevertheless. I could make some profit now but also reserve some for that big break.

I agree with you, I also feel that maybe this bull run will be much better when compared to 2017. This time more people are interested in crypto, a lot of major parties have joined and I'm sure this will make this bull run even stronger.

I think it will surpass the previous bull run and last at least two more months as it’s started a few days ago. We cab at least expect it to be lasted till the end of December however, altcoin rise will start significantly after only BTC gets stable.

I also believe in this, even the current bullmarket will not stop the increase in the price of btc in fact based on the prediction of experts its price will be even higher in the coming years. So enjoy the ride and always take your profit and buy back Everytime you see price correction that way you will feel more profitable if you know how to play with price .

You don't have to ask whether this is the long awaited bull run or not. It is beside the point. This may or may not be the long awaited bull run. I don't care. What I care about is that this is a bull run and this is not just a weak bull run which gives us a hundred or two of USD in increase in a week's or month's time. This is a very strong bull run which gives us a thousand more USD in price increase in just a matter of less than 24 hours. This is the main point.

It's very simple, everyone can look at the bullrun in the past where the duration of survival was not that long, and those who are able to take advantage of every good moment will always win and be profitable, so don't think too much of the comparisons, but take the opportunity already exist at this time, because things like this will not necessarily last long.

I believe it is, But we must admit it's very different from the 2017 bullish market trend. Because today's trend is about Bitcoin and other few top-ranking altcoins like ETH, XRP, and etc. While some other altcoins remain in just a very limited movement, despite they are one of the top rankings cryptocurrencies in the market thats why IMO, those cryptocurrencies that have not moved the price along with others have no demand simple as that.

It's also different from 2017 because now it's mostly institutional investors that have driven the price. Media coverage about BTC is not nearly at the same level it was in 2017. Maybe once the ATH is broken again and when the media jumps on that train, private investors will chime in again. If that will happen, we might see new hights in early 2021. I just hope the whole thing doesn't collapse as it did after the 2017 bullrun.

There will be many factor that could change the market sentiment, indeed this situation all people/investor will just one focus to see all altcoin and bitcoin prices its previous all time high. But we don't know after that, it could be the bear market come like 2017 ago or all investor are aware of crypto market and they are comfortable to hold their asset and make there is no big correction.

Perhaps, the second situation will happen given the economic situation in all countries still bad due to corona virus and also the important thing is almost all altcoin prices are able to reach its previous all time high and make the investor believe that crypto currency is deserve to be choose as an investment place and take a decision to hold all their asset.

This is pure bull run as BTC an other high  coins on market are about to make new all time high. But critically looking at altcoins situations, they will bleed badly because they haven't really been following Btc movement except for Xrp, xlm and ethereum.
Take your profits while the market is smiling at everyone because when market cycle complete, altcoin will suffer the most.

Currently, Btc is consolidating but they are all red, only few that are been move by whale are making little progress.

I just hope that those who had been a victim of buying in 2017 @$20k will have stronger hands by now.

Yes, people are comparing 2020 to 2016, because of its many coincidences: the US presidential election, the bitcoin halving. And it looks like people are waiting for a 2021 year to explode like 2017. However, the situation has changed a lot now, as the number of crypto users has increased a lot compared to 4 years ago, and if you want a bull run, it would require a huge amount of money to flow into the market, as the current market size is so large.

Bullrun has indeed come to us, why should we ask again?
It has been seen that the price of Bitcoin has gone up to over $ 19k and now strong support is at $ 17000 and $ 19000,
we are still being bullish for a long time, so don't sell cheap bitcoins or altcoins that you have.

I think this alt season will begin very soon, before the end of this year, and will last about a month, since we have been waiting for it for a very long time, for 3 years. I have already prepared for this and purchased altcoins.

if I may know what altcoin you are currently holding? if you hold Ripple or Waves you are very lucky,
because everyone is talking about these two coins

If that's not a bull run i don't know what else you can call it lol  ;D BTC is rising indeed but what about alts? If you were here during the 2017 bull run I'm sure you can clearly see how this bull is way different than the previous one. Let me give you a hint: In 2017, every reputable alt and shitcoin used to follow BTC like crazy, now it's not like this. Only reputable projects are growing and everything else with a dead dev team behind it is just staying still in the shadows  ;D Which alts can be considered "reputable" is another story tho  ;)

This is part of the game and I’m still confident that we are on a bullish trend and this is not the dead end yet for this year up trend, so stay calm and just keep on monitoring the marker. We are on a different situation right now, 2017 was a great surprise to all of us but now we are expecting this to happen again and its good to see that this year, the bull run is still strong there’s no turning back anymore.

I think the bull run for altcoin market isn't here yet but yes, with Bitcoin it seems had been happening.  There is an insane growth of BTC this past month and it is almost on its current ATH now.  I think BTC market will last until mid year next year and altcoin will start possibly before the end of this year and will last for at most a year.  It's just a prediction in referrence to the market movement last 2017-2018.

Absolutely not a dead end by any means! 2017 was a different scenario as most users that jumped into crypto before had very little to no knowledge about this market. But this year and the next coming years, the crypto market will be growing as more merchants are now recognizing the benefits of using crypto in their payment method. The move of PayPal alone gave something positive to the market as well as on the perception of noncrypto users. A lot of crypto users are also more informed than before.

I hope that this is the bull run. I was guessing that we could see the bull run in the last months of this year. It looks like we are in it now.

Look at all the major markets on coingecko, and tell me what you see - that's right GREEN!
Green across top market cap markets indicates the state of the crypto economy, and for the past few weeks in fact this has been green, and definitely a bull run.

Quote
I also hope that it won't end too soon. My guess for the new ath is around 25k.
I think that in the next month or so it will keep going strong, perhaps few small volatilities here an there, but overall an uptrend. I don't yet have a clear cut on what the price might be but as a guess I'd say at least 20K.

This time is actually very exciting as it probably is the longest time in the history where BTC has been hanging at these new figures :D
I'm excited and would be interesting to see in a few months where all of this leads to...

You see the red zone for 1 or 2 days or 1 week, it's also very normal, no one is pessimistic about it. We need to look at it as a whole and not in parts, bitcoin and altcoins are trending well, occasional interruptions will occur but not significantly.

There is ongoing dump now from the fast bull couple days ago.

If the market comes back tomorrow or late today then yeah this is bullrun and what happens now is Correction of the market prices.

But if this continue to fall like the price last month?then we are in BullTRAP in which Money baggers again the winners.

it has been long waited by those that bought on the right time and those that have a btc on them already but to those that who bought on the peak , these people may already loose thier excitement because most of them already loose .

buying on a peak is really risky but still many people does this for the sake of greed . we have the same expectation because i also think that btc can be much better than it was on the year 2017 because we still have 1 month to correct the price back on 19k and then it can start moving again upwards .

in that year bitcoin is predicted to reach over 250k $.

So you were "buying this shit since it was $4" and now you are surprised by a correction after BTC rallyed to almost 20k? You either telling bullshit or you're just the worst trader of all time. With BTCs bought at $4 you shouldn't care that much if 1 BTC drops from 20k to 15k.

It should be a bear not a bull lol

The bullrun seems to get a correction now and it was going back again to the what it should be. I just wanna know how people reacted about this flash dump that created by the whales.
Some news confirmed that some whales were dumping their bitcoin to the market instantly after the pump.

that looks amazing to bring back crypto to the bottom and give the second chance to enter.  :D

You need to wait again because the crypto market price makes a correction again, and we don't know how deep the price can down. But we hope that the price will be back increased in the next week, and if the price is down too deep, it will start another rally soon.

The bear comes again, and we need to be careful. We should be patient and don't panic because you will not see the opportunity to buy back bitcoin or other coins if you panic.

Yes, maybe this is the hope that seems to be real, even though everyone knows the bullrun market will not last long but I believe that until the ATH BTC is not reached then the bullrun will continue to run in the altcoin section.

indeed because bitcoin is the key in this crypto market
and the corrections that come too crypto markets will not long buddy, wich mean this is only for a while
maybe this could be a chance for us to buy more bitcoin and ethereum before the green price coming back

Basing up with the current situation in the market on where the price didnt able hold up and able to break out that previous ATH but doesnt mean that it wont possibly reach out for this year.
Bull run as we say? We are indeed into this situation because we wont able to reach this levels if we are still on accumulation or on bearish state. Some say that this would be the same
on what happened in 2017 but basing on my own view which this time wont really be that similar in the past. The price hadnt crashed on where people do recently claim when
we headback from 19k to 16k in short span of time but without even thinking or realizing that those are just healthy corrections.

This recent high in price of bitcoin, ethereum and ripple are not the bull run we should be expecting, the case of 2017 was quite different which carries altcoin along, unlike this recent one, I really observe a correction here which definitely the market had given opportunity for more investors to buy more coin as its on the parallel red now.
Surely, bull run will happened shortly maybe towards ending of the year.

We don't know whether the bull run will continue or not, but this long awaited bull run have benefitted good this year. This happened as a result of bitcoin growing high even at the worse situation of the world market.

2017 have been the most beautiful year for cryptocurrency, after that the market continues to bleed, almost all coins have decreased in price. It took us three years to wait for the bullrun to come again, current market has shown a very extraordinary movement, yes, it can be said that this is a good start, but it hasn't reached its peak yet. Now is the time to enter, You will get multiple profits once the altcoin season hits its peak next year.

Point blank No, definitely not the much awaited bull run, common, i was privileged to witness the 2017 bull run and i tell you this past few days of btc rally is nothing compare to that (at least not with alts)
2017 bull run was for both alts and btc, in fact there was no exception, everything under blockchain moon like crazy! :D it was an unforgettable period, so far no comparison, if this past few days of btc rally is the much expected bull run, then alts are deep shit ;D

Even though Bitcoin fell two days ago, but I have a feeling Bitcoin is about to go up. A Christmas season is coming. A strong bull run is possible at the end of December, so we should be patient. and waiting for another season of Altcoins could be good for us.

The crypto bull run was paused in the market, so long awaited bull run was runs in the previous days. But again market is bleeding so many hunters are still hold the BTC and altcoins, so we can expected the next pump on upcoming days. Majority of the investors are discussing the 2017 chart is runs in the market. The current market is purely red and all the traders are still confusing to invest the other platform, so stay in a same platform is enough to maintain the gold.

I think that many cryptocurrency users panic in vain, watching the market fall in the past few days, since everyone had predicted a small correction earlier, since observing the approach of Bitcoin to the psychological maximum, every cryptocurrency holder would want to fix his income. After some time, the bullish run will continue its active actions and we will definitely return to the previous indicators.

It looks like so. I mean we have drops and increases and drops and increases but it looks like we had one of the biggest bull runs in crypto history after the famous 2017 bull run. If you remove that one, this would be the biggest increase of few months we have ever had not just in bitcoin but also in altcoins as well.

This is why I highly suggest everyone to be careful because last time there were tons of people who bought from the top and failed to sell at the right time as well. Which is why I suggest people that if you end up buying at the top and it starts to fall, have some money in usdt aside so that you could keep buying the lower it goes, that way you could drop the purchasing price average and that would help you not get destroyed that quickly when price goes down.

I look at the market situation and as we see today we are in the red zone. I hope this is temporary and we will see a bullish mood again

And the news that the US government is tightening the rules for cryptocurrency may affect the market not in favor of Bitcoin?

That is really the trend that people have been waiting for, based on the current situation, the market after a few days of sharp decline, it is recovering and rising again, I see many people fearing because of the last drop. I'm not sure if there will be any more declines but i believe the market is up and i also believe in this growth we will see a new ATH.

According to the current situation of the general economy and the inflationary fiat money, this bull run will last quite a long time. It will be different from 2017, the price of Bitcoin is now steadily increasing due to large investment funds that really want to hold Bitcoin. It is no longer what it was in 2017 because Bitcoin has truly shown its function and people now want to hold Bitcoin to avoid losing the value of their fiat money.
So this is the reason why Bitcoin will not be sold off easily when it nears ATH again. It even breaks down early in these late 2020 days ;D

I am sure that there are very few such people who started purchasing Bitcoin in 2017, almost at the peak of its value. Quite a long time passed, and some users even left the market due to large losses. It seems to me that today more established users expect profits from bitcoin, and those who have a more balanced view of the future prospects and approached their investments in 2019 more thoughtfully.

I keep telling my co traders that they should now be prepared because there is possibility that the altcoin season will finally come, the bull run already started and there are only 2 possibilities and if the trend will suddenly die or it will become stronger. Look what happened to the price of the bitcoin, it dropped but the price easily recovered and it is now on the way to $19,000 again. Some of altcoins are copying the price of the bitcoin and you can see that the price of the ETH will break the $600 again. The XRP is also doing good even it has a recent crashed but the good thing the XRP also recover it easily.

When you enter the crypto market I think you should calm down and be patient. Bitcoin has risen $ 19,512. therefore, the Bull run time is probably going to happen soon in the crypto market. It will probably start in 2021 and we hope Bitcoin goes up better than in 2017.

No need of any confusion. It is the real bull run. It went into correction and the growth has got resumed. Not months, people have been expecting such a growth for years. There are people who bought during the previous bull run of 2017 ATH price. Till now they're holding to profit, because selling in between gets them into loss as the market crashed as low as $3800.

Look at the current price in the market, this is the bull run that we are waiting for so long. After for the longest time we see and witness the current price of bitcoin reached above $19k. So close to touch $20k and I can sense price will continues to jump in the market.
Market is always follow the BTC way so one big Whale was stop the ATH on last week so many peoples are confused in the current bull run. But again market is growing well and we expect more than $22k in before end of the year. If we analyse the last one week chart it is clearly explain the current jump of Bitcoin. Obviously all the investors are continuously buy and hold for future growth.

Until this point there are still similar thread that popping asking either we will break the ATH or this one in which the Bullrun is here.

the problem is what definition of Bullrun do you want to here,Because i believe that Once the market stays growing in a span of at least 2 weeks for me that is already bull.
So basically we already there though we still wanted to make another Highest value on our coins.

Bitcoin has today finally created the ATH price and almost just 100$ away to reach that 20k mark. So possible we all might just see btc crossing 20k levels and then is the bigger test if it can remain above it or will it fall to some extent. If it continues to rise then altcoins are here for some bull ride as well. Holders are gainers now.

How long have you been in this market? Bitcoin may be almost touching the previous ATH this week and I think it would break a new record of ATH next week or so. I wonder if how long it would last to be like this since I can't tell what is the final ATH this time. I'm starting to doubt about the price of Bitcoin next year if it would really keep breaking a new record of ATH. It seems that these past few days is giving too much of spoiler for the upcoming ATH.

The rapid growing scale of bitcoin price was very surprising for  past few days, and everyone was having their glorious profit gains. Don't doubt on this price, and bullrun was now happening only for bitcoin but bearish for altcoins because it has never been showing off it's performance since last two years. Alts remained drowned of its value, sad to say that most of them were dying and won't come back on its track again.

I think it is, however it is not as extreme as the one we saw in 2017, especially when it comes to altcoins, bitcoin is moving in a similar way but the biggest difference is the power of altcoins in this movement, altcoins are still very undervalued compared to what happened in 2017 and this can be interpreted in many ways, this could mean that altcoins still have a lot of potential to go up, but this could also mean that the market is more mature than it was at that time and that altcoins are not going to grow in the same way they did back in those days.

I can confirm that this is the bull run that we are waiting for, the fact that we are already in the $18 - $19 k range the last time that we are on this level was three years ago and it's been a very long build up from there, and on how long will expect it to last, it's hard to answer that question but it will be much longer period, hard to say how long.
So many things happen since the last bull run this year and it will have a long term effect on the market.

that could be wrong. Bitcoin needs to break 20k to be able to gain another big pump. Bitcoin breaks its old ATH but it can't break 20k.
If 20k resistance can be broken easily and there will be a lot of pump after 20k already achieved.
There was a very big resistance on 20k which will make bitcoin quite difficult to surpass. The bullrun could happen anytime and we are in the bullrun right now.

I don't really understand whether this is the bull run we are waiting for or not. It's just that right now I only see that the very high increase is only in bitcoin, and not in altcoins. although altcoins are gradually recovering, this is not what I imagined. however the potential for a bull run I expected exceeds this. however, I am also grateful that the price recovery did take place this year, and it was very good. however, we don't know how long the potential price will continue to rise, but I predict that this is until 2021.

I believe we are almost on the the threshold of the long awaited bull run and the whole community is very excited there are so many speculation, we do not have these kinds of speculation in the last two years, we will never if it's going to last long and for how long if we have not yet reach another all time high and how the whole community react.

The crypto market is slowly increasing but I can not tell if we are on bullish, maybe in the next year I guess because I remember in 2017 of December bitcoin reached the highest price then it went down in January 2018 but the alt season was occurred in that month so I guess in the month of January 2021  the bullish will start. It's just my prediction but who knows the history will repeat.

Looks like it is but if we talk about eth i would first want to see it breaking above 1000 and it should break previous highs in next couple of months to confirm we are into the big bull run expected from a long time now.

Observing the market conditions it increases, more likely we are in bull run for the longest time bitcoin touched above $19k. Many had a high hopes for this to happen because market was down before, but now bitcoin has a strong trends that price increase. Let's just hope it will continue and we can see it above $20k.

The bitcoin has been helping almost all of the major coins to get increase on its price. As far as i know if institutional investors are also helping the bitcoin to be pumped so hard right now.
It looks like this is a long term bullrun. The price of bitcoin can't easily be dumped to the bottom. Bitcoin can still stay above 19k level which can be considered as a very good achievement by bitcoin.
I hope that this bullrun will be last long.

The market today is more stable than in 2017, and therefore, even to reach the psychological barrier of $ 20,000, we will still need a rather long time. Slowly but surely.   ;)
But nevertheless, we are in the process of simply reaching a new all-time high for Bitcoin, which in all likelihood should reach already in the summer of 2021. In any case, today there are all prerequisites for such a forecast.

There are talk around that there will be all the more long haul bullish run which we have been anticipating, yet we should hang tight for this gossip transform into the real world. These are two entirely unexpected situations and that of 2018 was not influenced by any worldwide occasion like the current pandemic which came about with the short time of stop on world economies.

Yes, but not all the coins will rise. Only good ones.

Crypto doesn't really like to go by this logic, at least not for the short term. By default, all defi coins to me are flawed in token economics, and it only takes you a few seconds to look at any defi coin's marketcap history to see what I mean.

Only good coins stick around and have real users. That's how I feel.

in 2017, the price is better than it is today. however, I think this development is quite good. although many hope that the price of bitcoin reaches its new ATH, or that the price of popular altcoins is rapidly increasing should be seen. but, sooner or later, I think we'll see that. well, but I don't feel that this is the bull run we're waiting for yet.

You can really compare the price between year 2017 and 2020 when it comes to value then nothing beats out that 2017 bubble run where everything is hyping including those alts
or even the low cap or simply those shitcoins did able to get some value compared to now which bitcoin and only top alts are getting some recovery or increase.
Comparing off with the intensity of adoption into those previous years then we can really tell the difference and this is a good thing because we can really
presume that the price wont really be crashing hard the same on what happened before. This is considered bull run where reaching almost ath in a short
span of time will really be considered off into that category.

This is the thing with the markets they never do what we imagine they are going to do, I'm not really surprised by the bull market we are seen in the market of bitcoin what surprises me is the lack of strength in the growth of altcoins, yes they had an increase in value but nothing like what they did in 2017 and this tells me that most likely people have not forgotten about all what happened in that year in which altcoins crashed massively and many scammed their customers outright, and even several years have not been enough for people to forget and to forgive.

Hey bro, do you see that the bullish is over? If it continues, you cannot claim that the price in 2017 is better, right? We are even still in 2020, while many people guess the Bullrun to happen in 2021. So, why don't just wait for the next year and monitor the price improvement in the market first? I think it is wiser than judging it too early.

Exactly, we must show some patience. As a crypto enthusiastic i'm very much bullish the upcoming bull run. If anyone observe the market closely, Bitcoin right now in consolidation mode, good possibility alt market move at any point. Damn sure bought some and you might just make some money.

The next pit stop for bitcoin should be 20k if this rate can be reached by bitcoin and then it's easy for bitcoin to reach another ATH for sure. You must know when the resistance can be broken and there will be FOMO to buy in. Poeple will try to grab bitcoin as much as they can. Bitcoin has limited supply and when bitcoin can surpass 20k and it will be easily be pumped into the 22k or even more.
It's about the momentum for bitcoin.

That's the question for most of us now since bitcoin for many days still not breaking the current ATH, I guess until that will happen, we can't call it a real bull run, probably a bull trap and slowly we are going back to a cheaper price.  If there's no bull run this year, I expect that bitcoin will slowly dump in the first quarter of the year next month, so this month is really crucial.

Yes, The market took 3 years to wait for the bullrun to come again, After last pumping in 2017, After that, the crypto market looked like it was stricken with a chronic disease. Almost all investors and traders look sluggish and not excited about the deteriorating market conditions. Now that the bullrun is back and bringing new hope to investors and traders, what's happening in the crypto market is still in its infancy, next year the crypto market will make new history, could even pass the record ever engraved in gold ink in 2017.

accumulation and hold if you buy at a lower price, if you buy at a price above you have to think about the risk,
especially if you buy Bitcoin at a price of $ 19000, I do not recommend that you hold,
make sure if you want to buy and do HOLD you have to really analyze it

Deeper analysis will help if you buy at this point, the market continue being volatile and the risk is really getting heavier, you need to

work with your knowledge looking for opportunities, day trade or scalping will help you to earn little by little, not a guarantee but there's

really good potential in gaining good profits if you know what you are doing.

Yes, it is true that the bull run is only a moment that must be properly utilized. So I think maybe we should be able to see the conditions and accept the reality whatever the current market conditions and in the future

Why you think like that! Bitcoin price and crypto market isn't acting like before. Now bitcoin has gained more stronger position and the price isn't going back to cheaper stage. Many altcoin also having good price move now. Overall crypto marketcap growing slowly but surely. And small price correction and stability happening in between. It doesn't mean that we will see dump in the first quarter of next year. We may see a little correction before Christmas. But I believe crypto price will grow more high at next year.

I would actually prefer it to dump this year now but would not mind a dump in first quarter of 2021 either since I am definitely holding until next halving;) The longer it stays below high prices that would tempt people to sell,,, the longer I have to accumulate! That is the dream for most of us is it not?

I accept this bull run will be unique in relation to the one of three years back that achieved the 20k, thing is first there was a pandemic that made a considerable amount of Bitcoiners really. I would likewise not going to be excessively hopeful yet as my desires for Bitcoin and different alts are somewhat high. This time, the bull run will go paranoid and it will not let the markets crash like it did before because then, there were immature traders who got dumped on by smart whales and now, we have giant institutions that are putting their money in crypto. Too much money has been locked already and btc is heading towards a trillion dollar marketcap.

Bitcoin is too, it will go up, and it will fall in price. This cycle will rotate.
It is the common cycle for cryptos. It rises and falls. But you will appreciate it more this time.
As you look at the whole cryptocurrency market, you'll get to realize that it's the only bitcoin that has reached back to its all-time high. Other cryptos are not yet there but bitcoin went earlier than them.

If bitcoin continues to rally from here as well then ETH could easily cross 700$ as well. But if bitcoin falls then ETH also will fall as altcoins follows the trends of bitcoin. So, this is quite sceptical situation currently because what have observed is that there is a good resistance near 19k but as it crosses 19.5k it starts to fall back again.

Instead they have just Hear and saw the market is Unbelievable increasing so they tend to ride the Bus,but the problem is that is themain plan of those whales that manipulate the market,so the end is those Noob that invest here are now blaming the crypto market for being scam when their foolishness made them a victim.

I wonder what will happen from now on, because even a coin like ethereum is nowhere near its all time high and we all know it is a good coin, I can only imagine what it is going to happen to other altcoins as they fail to attract more investors, it is in fact possible that once the bull market we are seeing disappears and things go back to normal that many of those coins that some years ago seemed as if they could become an important part of the market will simply disappear as no one will be interested in them anymore.

Then that is not a real bull run, a bull run makes the market great and if it's only for selected coins, I guess that bull run would not last.

Last time we saw was this month, or last month, bitcoin was bullish and altcoins have the same trend, but it's still not due for an ATH, so a lot of altcoins are still undervalued, and we have that opportunity to still invest since eventually a real bull run will come, probably not this year but maybe next year.

In the last three months most of the crypto assets have increased dramatically and of course This has made some investors and traders get quite a fortune, but the bull run was also accompanied by several corrections in the price of bitcoin and made the price of bitcoin drop slightly now, but almost every cryptocurrency listed on CoinMarketCap some time ago was in the green zone, of course this is due to the strong price correlation between bitcoin and altcoins on the market and some altcoins such as eth and xrp have had a considerable effect on the pump price of bitcoin and we can see price increases. xrp is even over 100% nowadays. I hope 2021 will repeat the bull run as it is now.

that 3 month long increased for some coins are better than a regular bull run that wont last more than a month but the only difference is that a regular bull run  can support many coins . people already earned decent on that 3 month long bull run and what are they askin or looking for ? are they greedy or what . that 3 month long increase already support the core coins i.e btc , eth , xrp but if you didnt earn on that run that simply means that your coin choice is bad and you need to modify that and go for those core coins

Just because prices are not what you want right now doesn't mean that there wasn't any bull run neither, bull run is not something that lasts forever and ever, it is something that happens and stops. Ethereum for example is not near the 800 dollar levels right now and that might make you feel like it is not on a bull run, but it also moved from 130ish dollars to over 550 dollars, nearly 600 dollars.

Isn't that a bull run? That is a bull run for sure and I do not understand people who assume that just because it is not going up right now they do not see a bull anywhere. It had a bull run, just like all other coins, they all had a bull run, and for now that bull run looks to be over, maybe it will continue and this was just a stop, or maybe it is done completely but it did happened.

As I might want to figure, I would not want to make assessments between the events in 2017 and that of this current year. These are two altogether surprising circumstances and that of 2017 was not affected by any overall event like the current pandemic which achieved a brief timeframe of a stop on world economies. One way or another, what is happening today in the cryptocurrency market cannot be compared with 2017. Today we have completely different circumstances that affect the market and, accordingly, provoke a bull run for cryptocurrencies, and in particular for bitcoin, which has many advantages for confidence, compared to the past period.

The last time we don't know what we are waiting, most of us are surprise with how the price move and it was actually oversold so the price went really high. It's different this time around, we were expecting a $20,000, so all eyes is on that while there are also people who doesn't like that because they might short the market for bitcoin to fall again, so we really don't know, let's just hope most of us are bullish to see a new ATH.

These are two entirely unexpected situations and that of 2018 was not influenced by any worldwide occasion like the current pandemic which came about with the short time of stop on world economies. I would likewise not going to be excessively hopeful yet as my desires for Bitcoin and different alts are somewhat high. I care about is that this is a bull run and this isn't only a powerless bull run which gives us a hundred or two of USD in expansion in a week's or month's time.

whether this has entered the bullrun season or not,
because when the Bitcoin price wanted to reach $ 20k suddenly a dump happened,
of course this made everyone feel annoyed, because there was a little less bitcoin price reaching the new ATH.

I wanted to invest in Etherum. But would you say that it is to late to get in now? I mean is it better to wait to the next dump or bear market now?
In my view, you are not too late and you don't have to wait too long if you have a strong desire for investment, of course you also have to be prepared for any risks involved, so it's clearly not too late.
The problem is that buying right now is a risky strategy, the market is moving sideways and while we hope the price goes up if the whales decide to crash the price we have little defence against their manoeuvres, which mean that someone buying ethereum now is taking a risk, and while the risk may end up paying up at the same time there is a significant chance the price could go down relatively quickly giving significant losses to the one that buys now, so I think the best policy for now is to wait and see which direction the price finally decides to take.

yes 3 years is a long time, and of course this requires a lot of patience to hold Bitcoin,
I'm sure many people have sold it, and congratulations for those who are still holding.

Bull run it is, but not as big as the bull run last 2017 because we are seeing altcoins market is not that bullish.

Bitcoin's new ATH has already been achieved this year, the 3 years of long drought really convince us that bitcoin is not gonna make a new ATH soon, but here it is, right in front of our eyes, so let's see what will happen next, good luck!

If you tell this is the bull run for bitcoin then it might be but not for crypto world. If you take a look on market that only bitcoin price is growing but others coin only growing in usd price.
But overall looks like normal but bitcoin price is maybe higher little but 2~4k.

Totally different because we can really tell on which coin does really have the potential and Bitcoin did prove it out. Some alts or top ones
are also in increase but not really that much compared into those bubble bull run in 2017 where everything is mooning.
Its good to see  that we do able to break the ATH after 3 years of moving sideways or in the low side.Good move to those who had bought
cheap coins when bitcoin is still on the verge of doubts an anxiety but looking into its current price which do really wipe those
worries away and now to those who risk did really make some reward.

That's basic for the current movement now, yes, bitcoin rises big time but altcoins are left behind, however, we are still seeing some minor increase and that's already significant knowing the dominance of bitcoin is significantly high.

Bitcoin will continue to be bullish for some time, it just break to a new ATH this month, so I guess it will continue next month.

The market is full of surprise but we can't be unrealistic here because it's a difference scenario now compared to the last bull run where bitcoin's dominant rate have dropped to below 40%.

This is the most awaited bullrun by a lot of people. there are so many people have been starting to shorting the market. I will be trying to do that too when the dump happened.
So far bitcoin can still stable on its current price. ATH already surpassed by bitcoin and we are about going to the moon.

We should wait for the altcoins to increase their prices based on the price of Bitcoin, as of now, Bitcoin price is increasing but most of the altcoins is struggling to increase. Bitcoin should become stable otherwise, altcoins prices will fluctuate like this.

As a lot are still focus right now in bitcoin, most alts are now forgotten especially those that have no reason to exist in the first place. Only few alts can keep up with the bitcoin's performance. From the time the OP posted this thread, we were at 19k level and look at how much the btc achieved, not even a month after his post. We achieved a new ATH and seems that there is no stopping yet. We waited 3 years for this to happen and I believe, this time, the foundation of 20k level is more solid than before.

I accept this bull run will be unique in relation to the one of three years back that achieved the at of $20k, thing is first there was a pandemic that made a considerable amount of Bit coiners really question that there will be an impact of this years btc dividing on the cost. There's are gossip around that there will be all the more long haul bullish run which we have been anticipating, yet we should sit tight for this talk transform into the real world.

It's just less than $100 away from the All Time High (ATH) I think this is the bull run we are all waiting for. Maybe it wouldn't up ending here we might not know it can still increase more.
Yes its still keep moving to the up .Really the market is on good position as we were expected .Btc has passed the previous ATH level and altcoin are gradually pumping like eth .We wanted such a trend for long time at last we got that and also hope it will keep the trend always .

Everything looks almost the same in 2017 which at the beginning of the year many FUDs were circulating resulting in the price of BTC at that time around $ 1000 and in the middle of the year the ICO hype was so popular that it slowly pushed up BTC prices and reached $ 20k, the difference is now the hype that occurs is DEFI hype which was accompanied by a pandemic, but the price of bitcoin has passed the ATH which has not been able to be achieved for a long time, even though the impact of touching bitcoin ATH has not been seen by looking at the top 10 CMC altcoins currently no one has been able to touch their ATH since 2018. but I hope that history will repeat itself.

I believe that the current situation in the cryptocurrency market at the present time can be compared with 2017 in only two parameters, namely, the achievement of the next maximum in the price of Bitcoin and the corresponding influence of halving. But as for the cryptocurrency market, it looks more stable and moderate today than it was 3 years ago.

To answer your question, you need to see the big picture of the development of the crypto industry. Each answer must always be substantiated and I want to substantiate my answer based on the history of the development and formation of the crypto market and the prices of crypto assets. If we look back at what happened to the crypto market, we can see a number of patterns. One of them is the fact that there are repeating events. You can call them cycles. Each cycle lasts for four years. If we start from this, then the beginning of the last cycle was in 2018 and since there are 4 years in the cycle, it turns out that the last year of the cycle will be 2021, but as we know, at the end of the cycle there is always a flight to the moon. Based on this, we can assume that now we are observing the beginning of a flight to the moon. Moreover, BTC has already reached its previous maximum and will now only go up. Personally, I see it this way, but of course I could be wrong.

This bull run could be as big as the last one but the distribution among the coins in the market could be completely different, as you have noted bitcoin has reached a new ATH but altcoins are nowhere near their own ATH, this suggest that in the case the market grew as much as it did at the end of 2017 that most of the growth is going to be concentrated on bitcoin which means that people should at least for the time being stop investing in altcoins and choose bitcoin over them.

There have been so many coins going to the graveyard from 2018 to the 2020 and people who have invested in these coins will never recover their money again. The people who able to recover their money are those who have been investing their money into the major coins like bitcoin ethereum or another legit altcoin.

This is like a bull run in 2017 but for when it will last for a long time is not certain because right now the most important thing is to look at the market, if the market always has a positive movement it might take longer to last this bull run. but if the market signals a negative signal then a dump like 2019 could occur.

Yes, and chances are Bitcoin price will indeed last until next year, but at what number the price will last, it is very difficult to know, what is clear is that if Bitcoin has increased again in early next year, then the top Altcoins will also follow suit although it will not really be Lots.

That's expected, but the question is will bitcoin still continue to increase or will it make a new ATH again after the correction. Normally when bitcoin had significant increase the correction will be deep too.

Check on the graph and you'll see its trend.

Correct, while an expensive lesson many investors learned right then that all the promises that altcoins gave to them were empty and when given the opportunity the developers of those cons will scam them knowing they could for the most part get away with it, so when they came back to the market thinking they could scam investors again they have found out that the interest in their projects has disappeared and except for newbies most established members of this market are never going to believe their lies once again.

Investors lost interest in the altcoin only for a moment because they understand already that the bullish market will start from Bitcoin so there aim to capitalize the coin which is used by the institution as reserve currency and despite the circumstance investors are still interested in some altcoin but ICO offering the only scheme investors are not interest in due to many scam activities.

The long-awaited bull market has started for BTC but the alt season put on the hold since 2017. Maybe in the next quarter of 2021, there will be a chance for altcoin investors to take profit after all this messy years. Bad bears will not let the BTC cross $30000 and the previous bull investors will also dump BTC in order to buy more altcoins. The same group of whales has bought BTC after selling their altcoin portfolios and now time to buy back the same portfolio at cheap prices.

Good for us but bad for investors who did not trust bitcoin and gave up when bitcoin dipped. Now, they can't buy anymore as they don't want to get into FOMO, them just watching while we are enjoying what we are seeing.  ;D... This is really the bull run, the most awaited one.

I believe this growth will continue until the end of 2021. Impossibly, this will not be a constant growth, and we will also see a correction, but anyway, as a result, BTC and other altcoins will grow. I assume that the crypto market shows rapid growth every four years, and if we take that the last flight to the moon was at the end of 2017, then the next flight to the moon will be at the end of 2021. Of course, this is not 100% and the market may go according to a different scenario, but already now we see how BTC is actively going up and conquering new peaks. At the moment I am operating on this information, but time will tell how it will actually be.

It's true that the current bullrun has long been awaited by us as the crypto community, who bought some crypto when the price was low.
Or even a bull run is now awaited because some investors bought coins at their peak prices in 2017, and Bitcoin holders must be happy
with the performance of Bitcoin this year which managed to hit the price of $ 28,000. Then for some altcoins holders must be a little patient
waiting for the alt seasons that are predicted to occur in the next year.

Bitcoin bullrun is at the moment, we will see the alts follow the same pattern when Bitcoin starts to cool off slightly. You will see the easily pumped coins go first then the more stable ones after.

The bull run has not stopped yet, just like the last one, it started in December, it ends in January next year, so I think we will see the same scenario. The thread title says the long awaited bull run, yes it is, and maybe we can also say that it's a long bull run.  ;D

At first I thought of this same scenario but coming along and now Bitcoin shows the Limit we expect is much  Higher that Bitcoin gives ,all these years from fall of 2018 ,we are all looking for at least another 20,000 just to cover the losses specially those who trapped,
But look now almost Climbing to 50% higher from the last ATH.

I will have to disagree with that, once most investors get burned by altcoins they will never touch them again since they will understand that if they want to have a decent chance at keeping their capital and increase it then bitcoin is by far the best choice in this market, just look at the market today, bitcoin reached a new ATH and it is still increasing its dominance over the altcoin market which is the opposite of what we saw in 2017.

I know the rules and regulations of every cryptocurrency investors is to invest most of their capital in Bitcoin that with the previous loss of investors in altcoin investment doesn't mean investors will never touch altcoin as you said. However, no investor will get burnt if he chooses a utility coin with good community support and keeps it if till the bullish market.

Altcoin season is actually not put on hold since 2017 for some altcoin have make a new ATH price whilst some are yet to but I expect other altcoin like ETH to make there new ATH price first Q1 of this year if the covid 19 vaccine push through.

Much awaited for a bull run for the people who are in from 2017, still, there are many people like me holding some active since 2017. Maybe this bull run will continue throughout the year and once the price of Bitcoin stable, we might see altcoin will start their engine and everything, we have to wait and see.

To continue through the year, I think its unlikely to happen, that would bring bitcoin to $100k or even more if that will happen, I see some correction then probably we will start again. Altcoins season were lead by major coins in the past, now, ETH reached $1000, it's a good news and it could be a start, but I'm still not certain though as majority of the altcoins are still sleeping.

of course all investors are waiting for the bull run to happen like now because at that time the market conditions only persisted and fell
the current conditions can make many investors smile especially on bitcoin which is up to 3 - 4 times the previous price and luckily
the bull run is still happening today

truly, this is quite possibly the main examinations somewhere in the range of 2020 and 2017 and it truly makes us think, the expansion in bitcoin costs toward the finish of this current year has arrived at 2x the past most exorbitant cost, perhaps this is the bull run we are sitting tight for the present and will this keep on enduring, Altcoins may likewise follow a bull run like BTC.

This bull run looks like only for the Bitcoin and some of the legit coin which has a genuine and authentic project. In the previous bull in the year 2017, every coin and the altcoins were followed the Bitcoin path with the speculative perception of the investor. This year also we say that it is a bull run because the previous ATH already crossed and sustained above $30,000 for 1 Bitcoin. Again the investor awareness also increased for the altcoin markets thus the selective coins will only participate in the bull run.

As soon as Bitcoin's decline subsides, it is certain that some Altcoins have started to move up. Like Aave, which has seen gains in recent weeks, and some following a reversal of direction.

The truth is that all altocoins are priced dependent on Bitcoin. If the charts of some of them differ from the BTC chart, it is usually very short lived. Bitcoin will continue to set the trend, and I am afraid that we will have to wait at least a few more weeks or even months for the next real bull run.
