The BTC has made history today  and broke its all time high record. It is currently trading around $ 20500 to 20600. BTC Dominance Index is around 65% which is very High. I personally think that it is the Right time to take entry in Good Alt coins ( Ranking from 2 to 20 on coinmarketcap). I believe that History of 2017 will be repeated soon. We will soon witness Huge rally in Alts. It should happen when BTC will stabilize around current levels and BTC dominance Index comes down to below 60%.

If we refer to history, of course we are still waiting for Ethereum which is not the same as in 2017. This really feels less than perfect, where the parent flies, Ethereum still looks doubtful ..

Nobody can predict the right time to buy altcoins we can only estimate by understanding the market momentum currently market seems on full peak so I would definitely like to wait for its dip condition maybe my decision goes wrong but I would still choose the suitable time to buy alts according to my own research.

Yes, there is a huge possibility of the great pump and today BTC has broken its ATH after three years so it would be the best time for altcoin because history is proof when BTC gets bullish along with itself altcoin also gain price. So it is considering a great time to buy altcoin before it gets too late.

There is no assurance for the rise of altcoins. If I remember it correctly, some altcoins like ethereum only hit ATH a month after Bitcoin started to crash. It would be more wiser to focus to Bitcoin for the mean time as its price is still on spike, then invest with altcoins when Bitcoin starts to go down again. But that would be just my personal opinion on this.

When bitcoin retraced back to 17k days ago was the best time to have buy some altcoins, that fall in Bitcoin value affected many altcoins as well, anyways it's never to late but as for me I like taking the short when market is in bad shape not when it's in good shape

Yeah its true it isn't too lafe to buy altcoins because their market value wasn't that high enough to paid and will surely suit on your budget but the mere thing that an investor should keep in mind in investing in an altcoin was to become wiseful in which altcoin will he/she going to buy. Having said that, It would be wise to watch BTC dominance index before taking entry into alts. Currently BTC dominance Index is at 65%, let it come down to 60% or even less, then take entry.

The market price of bitcoin have crossed $20k barrier. Upon this growth there is little growth with altcoins. The price crossing $20k is a big news and the same has made people think of altcoins pump. Maybe there'll be market growth, and the same is composed of real-time usage increase. For people with good funds in hand it is good to invest on altcoins and sell when the value grows high.

It is very difficult to predict the future of Bitcoin. The repetition of 2017 has already taken place. The other coins lag far behind in its continuity. You need to analyze the possibility of altcoin season after Bitcoin made a new ATH today. If it is likely to see the bullish trend in altcoins in the near future, you can start to choose potential altcoins to buy. But if you are not sure that bullish in altcoins to happen or not, you are better to wait for the momentum and monitor the market improvement first.

If bitcoin stays the right side of 20k, I for one will be starting to load up on more alts. Thistime round however I will be looking for projects with good credentials and looking into the teams a bit more, I got stung last time (2017-2018) and would hate for it to happen again, I would reccomend to anyone do your own research.

Your point is good but doing any thing blindly is never been good idea because this can hurt you very badly just try to search and then buy few coins which have some good liquidity and can give you some good profit in near future because we have very long list of shitcoins those are hurting very badly to new investors also damaging this cryptoworld very badly in long run.

ETH is still at $600 and with ETH2.0 there can be a higher price that it will be showing soon. You knew it.
When bitcoin pumps, the next would be the alts and Ethereum will be the same as it is although it's currently priced in $600 but unlikely the peak.

what you are saying is the truth because bitcoin is always going up and usually altcoins will also participate. the problem is that the present value is high enough so please be patient first to be able to go down again and then make a purchase. although we believe that next year is the time when all altcoins will receive an increase.

If you have large funds, you can probably just speculate because you are sure that there will be an increase, but if you have small capital, maybe you can change the potential altcoins to potential ones. so that when it increases we will also get the results we want.

At the end of the day each person needs to take that decision by themselves, bitcoin is showing great potential for continued growth and this could mean positive growth for altcoins, but at the same time you should be ready to get out of your altcoin positions the moment the market begins to go down, if bitcoin experiences an important drop, something like 10% or 20% you can be sure that altcoins are going to double that drop and make it anywhere from 20% to 40% and you do not want to lose that kind of capital in a single trade.

It's okay to buy the alt now if it's only for day trading, but if you buy the alt to welcome the alt season, I don't think it's time yet. Bitcoin is still very strong at the moment, we have to keep looking at the conditions in order to get into the right altcoin.

With bitcoin crossing crossing 20k price mark and registering new ATH I think it's always a very good idea to invest in altcoins to trade but I do not recommend to hold them for a long period.

for now there is still no sign that altcoins will follow the bitcoin price because they are still making corrections but if bitcoin prices are more stable then in the next few days altcoins will also experience price increases.

Bitcoin is set for an insane run ahead after breaking 20k level with good momentum and volume so i think many alts will follow bitcoin in coming weeks so i would be buying more eth, trx, ada and waves whenever i can.

I also ask this in myself before, the fear and doubts could affect our decision especially when we are listening to rumors and negative thoughts around. I blame myself for why I'd do that instead of listening to my instinct.

But to ask if this is the right time to buy altcoins, don't get mad to hear that this is not the right time for this. What is in my mind is that buying/investing cryptos in the bear season is the right time, not during the bullish season in which the possible dump will happen and can cause our loss.

If you buy others altcoins, On my strategy there is high risk to loose good amount. But bitcoin is safer and it can recover quickly but others altcoins can't. Now you can choose what you will do.

For now, bitcoin is the best choice for investment as it already reaches its all time high. Lucky are those who take risk in holding bitcoins for a long time because right now, they can already make huge profits from it if they plan to sell some of their bitcoin. But it would be a good decision too if you spend some of your funds for altcoins for future profits. Yeah, I'll admit that is true because I see and I have felt before, I bought an altcoin but I got loss although bitcoin was increasing. Its always right to buy alt coin which already proofen. You better buy it every month not one time with big volume for investment. For example : you want to buy eth and xrp. You need to but it little by little to avoid dump. This strategies called Cost dollar averaging.

It's not, virtually its worst time to enter because market has already reached at peak level where we might just start bell curve and market will start moving downwards. Think wisely before you invest today or until market does not get stabilised.

Late is better than never, I would like to ride this rally and make profit in BTC or alt coins because current scenario is totally different from 2017 scenario which was totally speculative. Now there is Huge institutional support and adaption of crypto currencies.  No one can correctly predict that where this BTC rally will end up because we have no historical data to predict Resistance or Support levels as  it has already broken its ATH record.. I may be wrong buy my understanding of Technical analysis is that it is never a perfect Science, it is the Science is probability which is totally based on Historical data. Yes Bitcoin has made history and has changed a lot of mindsets as well, however looking at History of 2017, it is a different thing now because many attention seems to be on Bitcoin which comes mainly from institutional investors and it looks like a lot of people are yet to focus a lot on altcoins hence the reason many are yet to reach their ATH, although Ethereum is trying it's best. Therefore, in my own opinion I think it would be best to give the market more time to actually understand if the dominance of Bitcoin will keep increasing or will adjust a little. From another point of view, with the growth achieved by many altcoins now, one will also need to think wise before getting into any of them.

I disagree, i don't know your definition of mooning because there are many alts which have not have a 2% increase as at now, although it depend on the alts he intend to invest on, to me this is the perfect time to buy some good alts and ride the market (i.e if there will be any major price pump in alts like the way btc is pumping right now), don't forget the alts season is yet to begin.

With bitcoins now at above 22,000 USD I think it's time to go into the crypto market. At these high levels there will be more new investors attracted who want to get a piece of the cake. And these high levels are probably gonna flow down into other crypto coins, because as most of us here on the forum, once you start investing in cryptos you want to buy other coins too.

You are absolutely right we should buy only Good those  Alts which  have potential to go 2 to 5X like, Ethereum, XRP, Polka Dot and XLM. To cut the long story short, Top 20 coins on coinmaketcap are safe for long term investment. My favourite coin is Pola Dot, I think it has potential to go more than 10X because it has all the features of Ethereum network, transaction speed and other features are even better  and its current price is very attractive for investment.

If you keep on asking for when is the right tune to buy alts, then it was ay back when they were just a few cents cost. You know if you are doubtful in making decisions whether you would make a mistake in making one, then you don't have it. Yesterday, the movements of altcoins are not adhering to how bitcoin behaves, as what I can see now on Coinmarketcap, altcoin season is also getting in as they follow Bitcoin's price increase. I can say, it is not late to buy altcoin now, there are some altcoins that are profitable in which we can enter to gain profit, just make sure that it belongs to the top 100 from Coinmarketcap as most of the people are also just looking at these potential altcoins especially those who missed riding Bitcoin and ETH during this ATH.

It is always like that and the same applies for the stock market.
Every time when the prices keep rising and rising, everybody gets interested as the media starts publishing articles about crypto. Even people with no knowledge are now again getting interested (same situation as in 2017). People always seek easy money and some believe they can have that right now with crypto.

I'm not sure if the altcoins were in bull trend now but if it's now I think this is a good time to buy altcoins now but I'm still not sure since some of the coins are already in bull trend now maybe it's a good way to still jump on investment to altcoins.

After you profit from bitcoin, you can allocate some amount of money to buy altcoin because I think you still have time to buy the altcoin.
But if you want to buy the top 25 coins list, I suggest you wait for a while because I see that some altcoins already increase, and if you insist on buying the altcoin, you can buy at a high price and I think that is not good for you.

Majority of the altcoins are making sound just because of BTC, I have noticed several times only if BTC goes up altcoins follow it if goes down it follows again so the dependency is still on.

Look at how litecoin is performing well along side btc, i know some people must have ask themselves the same question few days back, others also hesitate to buy btc at 19k thinking it will correct back down but the market is showing something different from what we all thought, to me, there is no right time to buy a good coin, all you need is be sure the coin is worth long term hold.

Nobody has a crystal ball to know surely the right time to buy alts, it's all speculation IMO. The most important is invest in fundamentals and progressive alts not only hyped ones. Currently ethereum is holding it's price strong and many more deployment to come hence the value of ETH right now is undervalued hence whether you got in when it was $150 or now, you would still be making a sensible choice as long as you are not aiming for short term gains.

Alts might follow up sooner enough so if the alts, not shitcoins, are showing a bit of red right now you should probably buy that now. There's no perfect advice for this but it's up to you in the end if you can handle the losses from your invested money, but pretty much it is suggested to buy now on the lows right now.

This is a common behavior for bitcoin, when it knocks out stops first for those who are short, and then for those who are long. But in any case, when bitcoin has not exhausted its potential for its growth, it is premature to expect a profit from altcoins.

I think this isn't perfect time to invest on ALtcoins yet, especially with low and medium capitalization Altcoins. With big Atcoins such as ETH, XRP, ADA,LTC...you can earn 20-30% profit but not be able to earn more at right now because the marketcap BTC dominance and the price of BTC are rising so strong, it shows that the money flow is focusing on BTC. The history you talked about here happened a year after the Bitcoin halving of 2016. It's post halving. But here we are in the halving year in 2020. So, if we must go by your calculation it simply means this year isn't the right time to expect such altcoin rally. Wait for it in 2021. However, Dec is the right time to buy altcoins but you should wait for the impending correction that's coming. Also, you're correct about watching the Bitcoin dominance level. I look critically at that data always and I believe no altcoin rally will be possible as long as dominance of Bitcoin stays above 60%.

Very well said. I am in total agreement with you that  it is not right  time to take entry into Alts market. It is better to wait for BTC to go side ways and BTC Dominance Index comes down to 60% or even less then take entry in good Altcoins (Top 20 on coinmarketcap) and make huge profit.

Well, what many are discussing about here is really a risk analysis of some sort, whether aside from Bitcoin, is it also a good time to invest in other altcoins. Not all coins are winners and not all coins are also losers right now. Those next to Bitcoin in popularity will experience some sort of upward trend maybe because of the FOMO thing that many does when Bitcoin in on the winning side. All you can do at the moment is stick to the same coins you have been investing for the past years and see if they behave the same way that Bitcoin does then that is a very good wait you did and you can opt to sell.

I may not know the exact time of buying and selling coins but a lot of things are changing in this market. Jemon btc has now raised 23000 so say this time you will not sit quietly but you will buy coins but you will see the future of those coins. However, now you see that btc has pumped but all the other coins are now in the previous place. So I don't think J is the right time for buying and selling now because now everyone is busy with btc. For me it is never too late to buy bitcoin, depending on the vision and mission we want, for short trade or long term. Yes is good time to buy altcoins. I look at mostly defi project for near future since I think they have best possibility to grow this year. With investments in them my portfolio has grown x3 last month or so.

I think this is a great time to think about diversification in Crypto, and altcoins are an infallible option, if the dominance continues like this it does not mean that Bitcoin has lost the lead, only that investors are sheltering their money there and then do appropriate exchanges in due course.

I've been doing some TA for the past few days and comparing it to other crypto experts and we have common speculations. Market will soon experience the last big dip before the bear trap and coins will dump for a huge percentage but will recover because btc will reach around $50k again and ocer $100k before this year ends. I also agree that altcoins price will also pump up in this month, especially for ethereum. The price of ethereum is at red zone after ATH $3.8 at the mid of May. So this will be great opportunity to invest in altcoins such as ethereum and top ten alts in coinmarketcap.
