OMG,  You guys were right about BitCoin price going up  :o :o :o  I wish I had bought in back in march   :(

That being said, I might have to buy some BitCoins now.   I think a hardware wallet is the best, but I need advice form more experienced BitCoin experts when dealing with large amounts that BitCoin is now worth.   Do you guys have any suggestions on the best, most secure way to purchase and store BitCoins without getting scammed or hacked ???

Buy on the top exchanges to make sure that you're on the right platform. Avoid buying on exchanges that you are not familiar with. That's the least that you can do if you're planning to buy bitcoins right now. And to avoid being hacked, don't click or install software that are unnecessary. There's no need for you to install a bunch of wallets just for you to be safe. If you're buying a hardware wallet, you buy directly to the manufacturer just like in ledger's official website.

You shouldn't buy bitcoin just because its price is going up. You should always buy bitcoin (or more precisely dump your fiat for bitcoin) when you realize that what bitcoin offers as a decentralized currency that can not be shut down or censored is useful for you. Otherwise the price might as well stop rising and stay here and you'll be stuck with something so valuable without knowing it.

You don`t have to regret anything all those prediction are just speculation it just happen that bitcoin pump and many have been caught off guard, when bitcoin hit 20K many have said it will make a big correction but instead it keeps climbing now that it breaks another all time high better focus your resources to altcoins since investing on BTC is now riskier and expensive at the moment.

Well, regret will always be in the end and nothing to be sad because we cannot predict the future no matter what. We can only speculate the future of bitcoin's price but we cannot predict it to go low or high in the future. One thing positive about it is that bitcoin is proving doubters and haters wherein it reached it's all time high. As majority of people said, don't buy bitcoin because of it's price but buy it for long-term purpose and be part of the ideology.

That's how the crypto space works, when the price was really down in March because of the pandemic, many were afraid to buy until it started rising, and yet many were still afraid to buy, until now, so you don't have to regret a thing but just pick yourself up and re-strategize. To say the truth, the price now is high and there should be a price correction anytime, maybe you have to wait for it; also, are you holding for long term? This will help you decide when to enter the market.
On the other hand, about the best wallet, first thing first remember to save your private keys, secondly go for hardware wallets and thirdly buy from good exchanges like Binance.

I'm not sure whether you're seriously considering buying it, or just trolling for fun. Why not wait until your prediction comes true and buy at that time? Buying at a bull run or at the top will probably cause you to be more butthurt later on. You don't make money by buying at the top, and you don't make money without patience.

Many top exchanges can be your choice but I recommend Binance for you I am sure that if a hack occurs then Binance will be fully responsible but I hope this will not happen again because this incident is so terrible.

Don't look at the past if I knew March was the lowest price then I would buy it but nobody knows and now the price is going to reach $ 25k this is really big maybe it will be more high, ah never mind I think there's no need to look back no said too late in buying bitcoin if you are fully confident in the future.

Oh Yeah! I remember that was the month when we last saw the last decline in its price and when the price was rising after that, it never fell again and until now the price is still kicking up. no one really knows when will it stop. When the price was kept holding on $19,000, that was one of the indications that the price won't gonna fell anymore since it was able to held at that long. Now the price continues to increase and no one can tell when will it stop.

though it is now below 23k, still the chance of going up for more is still there. if BTC will go more than 25k in the very near future, the OP will say again, wish he had bought this december.  :P so yeah, we will hear this kind of statement every now and then. but in the end, it is up to us how we will react on the market. we will always have regrets but should act now before its too late again, right?

I didn't sold anything during the March price crash,but I never though that Bitcoin will reach a new ATH this December.
Buying at the ATH price is a risky more,so you have to be careful and invest money that you can afford to lose.I see that the price might slowly go back to a level below 22K.
There will be a price correction around Christmas for sure.

It's better if you will get yourself familiar on how Bitcoin works before jumping into an investment. There are investors who bought bitcoin at $19k+ last year, unfortunately, bitcoin went down and dipped. So they needed to wait, now, if they did hold those bitcoin this will only be the time that the got some profit out of it. It took a year before they got their profit.
Some people holds bitcoin for a longer period though, because it is believed that bitcoin's value will reach much higher value in the future.

We do not really know what can happen to bitcoin, and now that it reached more than the first ATH many regret not buying when its price is still low. Investing in bitcoin is very risky but you can't earn if you will not try to take the risk. Better luck next time if bitcoin going back to it's value last March don't hesitate to buy and hold for a long term.

I had the same thoughts about my friends and colleagues in regretting themselves not buying Bitcoin early. I know how it feels not to grab the price while it’s still low. Even me myself, I regretted selling too early for quick profit and just remained it as USDT. However, if I could have hold it back then, I would have really enjoyed the pump and calling it the best Merry Christmas gift ever. The market is really unpredictable these days, as we may know that it may pump or dump anytime without warning.

Things have changed, with intuitional money starting to buy BitCion, the risks of a complete crash are now much lower.   Peter Schiff is right about a lot of things, but mainstream organizations starting to support BitCoin will be more important to increasing its price more than anything else.   I will probably buy in the next dip since nothing goes up in a straight line.   I am NOT a troll, and have no interest in blaming anyone if the price goes down.   Maybe you did not notice, I have not posted here for a long time, I have been watching what was going on with BitCoin and re-evaluating my position on it...   Things have changed for BitCoin, and I just cant argue with actually making money, so I am in !!!

Buying bitcoin is depends on you if you think right time to you can buy bitcoin. Well anytime today was a possible time to buy bitcoin unless you can afford it at its ATH price. At some other point it wasn't practical and economical due to of course a sole reason its high price.

If you are afraid that your BITCOIN will be stolen, save it in a non-custodial wallet, such as Electrum...
One thing is for sure not to store large amounts of Bitcoin in exchange wallets because exchange wallets belong to the exchange and are very vulnerable to hacks.

When you are buying make sure you use a reputable exchange like Kraken or Coinbase. That doesn't mean you shouldn't buy bitcoin from a friend who wants to sell it.
Regarding security you should keep your Bitcoin preferably on a paper wallet if you want to keep it long-term or on a hardware wallet. Never keep big amounts on exchanges, especially on unregulated ones which pretty much all of them are at the moment. To me USA registered exchanges are safer than Binance or other shady asian exchanges which don't have any authority supervising them.

We all think about what we could have done, but instead we should look forward and analyse our present situation. Make sure you won't regret not buying BTC now, in a year.

Even the past investors do the same mistake so it's better too late than never invested. It's still profitable if you are planning to hold it for long term just a suggestion wait for dip before buying I just feel that the current price right now is over price I mean I expect around 20k not lower than that.

As for security. Look up hardware wallets. My recommendation is Coldcard Wallet.

Once you get a hardware wallet, play around with it for a bit. Set it up, make appropriate backups, maybe send a small amount of BTC, and then wipe the device clean, and finally restore using your backup and make sure your small amount of BTC is associated with the same key. This is very important to ensure you understand how backups work and the seed you've written down is correct. Also gives an additional peace of mind when you understand how you can restore backups.

Except you are just trying to make a thread, what have you been doing in this forum since you join last year July, I will always newbie in the Forum to buy bitcoin and Ethereum while they learn, the risk at that time was so low and will save the time spent on learning. You were not learning and making right decision since you been here. It is not about buying a whole bitcoin or more at a time, you can buy in trickles has the excess money shows up. At $22K, you can still make 5x from here.

Many people said that before, they are regretting that they doubted bitcoin at first.

Right now, there are a lot of investors who are late enough to benefit and make bitcoin profitable in the market.

That's why the bitcoin adoption this year is much higher compared last year. This is the best time for us to engage and deal with the market, also other cryptocurrencies in the market are profitable. Don't hesitate to invest, it is never too late to trust and hold bitcoin.

Most of the current rally can be attributed to the mainstream adoption of Bitcoin, especially by various payment processors such as PayPal. Back in March, no one had the slightest idea that this is going to happen. PayPal had always adopted a hostile stance towards cryptocurrency and no one really expected them to change their attitude towards Bitcoin. So you don't need to worry much about it. If you want to make an investment in Bitcoin, even now I would say that BTC is underpriced.

When you have a local exchange that is already trusted and has been around for a long time maybe that is the best choice because after all, the local exchange will at least comply with the local government rules so I think it is also an important point that the exchange is compliant with regulations that will keep our funds safe. But indeed, it is not recommended and all options go back to yourself but for me, I never use any hardware to store Bitcoin and I only use Electrum wallet as well as regular web wallet.

Yeah, I am getting many calls from friends/family along the lines of 'why did you not make me and twist my arm to get BTC/Crypto ..back in the day!....I started in 2013..and

went through an 'actual' live about 8 friends 'intervention' in 2013 along the lines that Bitcoin was a cult (no altcoins yet) that ended up in a 'shouting' match that I was

naive..and no one talked to one another for around a month. Then when BTC tanked after the like $1.2k ATH in December 2013 or so...went through yet another such

thing (this one was un-organized) at a party...and much yelling I should sell at $200 and even more stupid in that it obviously was a pump and dump.

This is not even going with my 'family' where my mom yelled at me along the same lines on the phone.

Now I'm getting a 'revised' history of the above, no one seems to remember the shouting and sneering..go figure.

Also, they seem to think somehow I was not pro-active enough to get them to get some BTC/Crypto ..it usually goes along these lines,,,becasuse as a 'newbie' kool-aid

drinking 2013 almost to the point of door to door Mormon pounding to get people to listen...I know I tried to sell everyone till shut down at least 2x.

But anyway, a friend in the last week. "I asked about BTC/Crypto and you setting something up and you did not have the time" (how he remembers it)

a paper wallet and first we should start the virus checker. Naw, did not want to sign up on a 'cuboids' BTC/Crypto exchange even though only password and email

to look about, did not want to set up printer ...really did not want to run the virus checker, probably because he never bothered and embarassing.

you should buy now because as speculation it is

1) going to dump 1/2 the price it is now having 'met' adoption ceiling and then act say like traditional investment at 1-2% a year growth...worse case.

2) going to stay at the price it is at any particular day/time you ponder such things as speculation and stay this price with adoption and go up 1-2% a year growth same as (1).

3) going to do what Bitcoin/Crypto has done in the past and go up 5x/10x/16x from the $22k price it is now.

Just saying, sell crap in the attic you will otherwise die with, on eBay and buy BTC/Crypto..just in case (3) is the real deal......and even (2) ain't bad

as to (1) above never forget buying BTC/Crypto is 'speculation' it is not 'investment' so only put in what you can afford to lose. :)

Many have come into late realization and surely have regretted that they did not bought way back at March when the pandemic starts and when the price dumps into nearly $5,000 if I have right to remember it correctly. Actually every dump of Bitcoin's price must be treated to be an opportunity to buy so you must grab that specially its been too long since Bitcoin have been into such price so it is really a great opportunity to be taken. Also, we all do know that Bitcoin always manages to recover even at the hardest times which you could have already experienced if you are staying quite long in this industry so no doubt that such opportunity of buying Bitcoin at its lowest is a good choice which we are all enjoying because of the current state that its price have reached more than $20,000 already

If you are a long term investor go ahead with current price as I don't suggest buying at this price if you are looking for a quick gain as we have seen drop in the value of Bitcoin so it's really important to wait for a bit for bitcoin to drop in its value and then buyback through a reputed exchange. We might see further bull run as well henc eif value starts increasing inside of decreasing then please buy back immediately.

It's better to wait fo some correction than to buy at these price now, it will sure to drop soon after this season and will definitely have its time again to rise in price, it's natural for those who have known BTC before but didn't buy to feel guilty since it can be a great profit now but it's really late to regret so better just buy after this season and wait again since now we know how the price can react and each some amounts we didn't expect to reach in just a span of months.

The difference between me and most people is that I can look at facts and change my position when it is warranted.  Most people are unable to learn and pay no attention to evidence.   If you knew me, you would understand that I look at evidence and make my judgements based on that, my change in attitude towards BitCoin would not surprise  you.

When I see people make 6 X their money this years in BitCoin, it is time to change my position.   The large money coming into the BitCoin market could change everything, if so I am absolutely want to buy BitCoin before prices rise even more.

In terms of the convenience of buying bitcoin with your cash, using a centralized exchange is better. But since they are regulated, expect that you might need to comply with KYC or any forms of verification as fiat is involved there. Before there's a platform that offers P2P transactions without KYC but I'm not sure if such a service exists today so just wait for other's responses. If there's a Bitcoin ATM around you, you might want to give it at a test as I think there's no KYC involved there but you need to associate your bank card details or something along those lines.

And now for the storing your coins part, nothing beats the use of hardware wallets but take note that the full security depends on how will you handle it.

You can consider trezor as a wallet to store your coins. I have been using this since 2017 to store all of my assets and I never encounter a serious problem with it.
You should not ignore other opinions about the best time to buy bitcoin. If you had bought some bitcoin and you are getting a bunch of money right now.

Any online wallet is enough to store bitcoins on the account, if we are not talking about amounts of more than 2 bitcoins. The main thing is not to lose your password and not share it with anyone, also keep your computer clean, without downloading any dubious software from the Internet. I use a Bitamp wallet which is quite reliable. Now you can safely buy bitcoins, since the price will only grow, which I am constantly talking about. IMO the price shouldn't be your main buying factor. If you are after price only, you should regret that you've missed back in March - Tesla, Gold and many more.

If you want to buy with peace of mind, you have to believe in (coin, company, people), because the alternative is constant anxiety and comparison of the dollar values.

We all had our regrets, I wish I bought in back in March too. But many of us didn't think It will a huge bull run. However We have to learn from mistakes, so next time if there is an opportunity we gotta buy bitcoin. The only problem is when bitcoin goes into the bear market it stay there for years. What would have been OP's reaction, if there was no Bitcoin rally in 2020? A lot of the users expected a bull run immediately after the block reward halving, and that expectation never got materialized. Many of them decided to sold their coins. And then out of nowhere the news regarding PayPal Bitcoin adoption came, and the prices started rocketing upward. So my question is what would be the reaction, if the news regarding PayPal adoption came out in 2021 instead of 2020? Would the OP still be optimistic about Bitcoin?

There are always lot of regrets whenever Bitcoin price starts moving. " I widh I had bought it last time", I wish a had sold my Bitcoin at that price", I wish HODLd my BTC" and a lot more. This sounds familiar, when people are regretting why they didn't trust Bitcoin, but it's not too late to make profits on it. Bitcoin will continue to rise and will make more All Time High prices. However, you've missed the chance to make even more profits when you just invested Bitcoin earlier.

Hardware wallets are the best storage for large amount of Bitcoin than online wallets. All of them could be hack, but then chances of a hardware wallet getting hack is very low. Buy three hardware wallets if you have money, divide your Bitcoin in to three, so it'll be more safe than storing it in just one basket.

Nah no harm done. Buying at 10k or buying at 22k today really won't matter when we sail into six-figure territory. And then much higher than that, if I'm to believe Guggenheim and a certain Spanish prison inmate still furiously Tweeting out stuff haha.

Yes, even myself too get surprised that bitcoin could really go high like this. I never thought of this but I had witness base on the history of bitcoin or its chart about the last bull run way back 2017. However, I was not able to anticipate this bull run and it really a bad news for us and to rhose who were not able to buy bitcoin during the down trend or when market was crashing before.

There is no shame in admitting that others are right all along. It is part of the FOMO experience. Many of the old timers here are still saying that this is just the start with Bitcoin and it will continue to go higher. If you have not started investing yet then consider checking with the old timers here and see if they could give you a tip or two in investing. So you can go ahead and invest and learn many things. Do not be afraid.

Whenever the market corrects a bit put a certain portion of money and buy it. So always divide your money in such a way that when you get the next dip you have something left to buy more. Do not invest all in one go when the market is near ATH. Plan accordingly so that you do not end up buying at higher price point and then must wait for long years in order to recover.

Everyone will sing praises for Bitcoin when the prices are going up. What I want to see is their reaction when the prices go down. I am someone who has remained loyal to Bitcoin for more than 8 years now. Ever since I got my first coins in 2012, I have been a firm believer. Corrections have occurred multiple times since then, but they never had any impact on my belief in BTC.

Buy bitcoin on a platform that you know best. Some platform that has a a good reputation so that you will feel safe that you will not get scam. Its best to buy a hardware wallet because it provides well security on your side. Its a good investment though, if you are planning to stick on earning through bitcoins. Just remember that bitcoin may drop but it will still go up. Since it has already established its face that it has a freat value and a good investment too than altcoins. You are right the best way to store Bitcoin is to keep it on hardware wallet and to purchase Bitcoin you could use top tier exchange to make sure that you wouldn't get scammed.

Hardware wallets have their own share of problems, not too long ago the list of ledger clients was openly published on the Internet with their names, email addresses and many other details which makes them a target for scammers and even governments, so I think that despite their merits there is an argument to be made that you should instead always store your coins without the help of a third party that can identify you if you are serious about your privacy.

To own up to your mishaps is a sign of a good investor. Undoubtedly most bitcoin investors right here were down to their luck when march came in and we are all expecting a slow yet steady increase but here is bitcoin yet again breaking all the stigmas. This will be the most appropriate answer for all the newbies that are thinking Bitcoin is always like making money.
You need to first understand how the market works. When the price goes and why the price falls back.
And moreover there is no perfect time to buy Bitcoins as always human nature is to want more and feel disappointed at last.
If someone is thinking to Buy Bitcoins right now, then they must surely do, as Bitcoin will only fall after it reaches 30k USD. And again this is just my assumption, use your own mind and invest.

I am someone who sold a part of my holdings in 2015 for $250 per coin. I was facing some financial difficulty and I had to sell some of my coins so that I could pay the utility bills on time. That said, I don't regret any of my decisions. Selling at $250 per coin is much better than never investing in Bitcoin. Even at $250 per coin, I didn't incurred any loss as my purchase price was much lower.

Everything has happened and time cannot be turned back, with a new ATH reached in bitcoin, be prepared if something doesn't go your way, because the market is very volatile, don't force your way in if you don't understand it.
because I've seen people who enter during Fomo whose beliefs change 180 degrees when they experience a loss.

If you are going to trade a lot and then exchanges would a better choice. I am not actively trading but I bet popular exchanges are safe. Binance maybe? Hence if you are hodling for the longterm then consider buying a hardware wallet. I have a hardware wallet myself and I transfer funds to exchanges only if "the price is right  ;)" to sell.

If there is a local based wallet which is totally legit and widely used in your country then that would be the best option. Whether it is custodial or non custodial, it doesn't matter since you are guaranteed that it was legit. But pick the latter one as much as possible.

Though you missed and opportunity to make a lot of profits, it still not too late for you. You can catch up and hoard bitcoins now. And this time I hope you will no longer doubt. But of course your journey won't be so ideal all the time, prepare for the worst especially that btc's bubble will burst soon (maybe 1st quarter next year, just a maybe tho). Unfortunately the time machine doesn't exist, so we can't go back in time by buying Bitcoin when it was cheap. If we regret not being

Regrets are always in last. If you just believe when there are people told you to invest bitcoin, you are in good hands now. Well, in order for you to overcome your regrets, you have to become risk taker. You need to fight back your fear of losing someone or something because at the end of the day, when your risks work you will become successful. Bitcoin pump may be a proof that cryptocurrency is good when it comes to profit and bitcoin will never broke what we expect for it.

So what have you done to recover your regret ? I will advice you to buy bitcoin now and hold it for one year. If you did not buy it now then in december 2021, you will be regretting again that you did not buy it at 27000$ and it is $200,000 in 2021 end.

Yeah. Totally agree with you. I did bought Facebook stock at 18$ in 2013, sold it around 25$. But now it's 267$. You will never know what will happen in 5-10 years in Bitcoin. But I'm pretty sure it will hit more than right now in next few years.

IMO, it will be better to wait for the next correction, rather than to accumulate the coins at the current level. The prices have gone up by quite a lot during the past few months, and at some point we can expect heavy profit booking from those who purchased the coins at ~$10,000 level. I am not sure when this correction may happen, and how much the prices are going to fall, but waiting for a few more weeks (or even months) would be a better idea.

So you sold right when I heard about Bitcoin and started buying. Of course I don't know what I'd do had I been in the space since 2013 or earlier. There's no point in crying over spilt milk. I also had my times of doubt when we broke below 5k in 2018 and I thought that this might be the end but I said fuck it, I'll ride it all the way down. Got a bit angry at the market and took a break for almost a year from reading the news and posting on this forum. It helped me to get a better perspective and understand what I really expect from this investment.

It is not really surprising anymore to see people telling their regrets about the things that they should have done early this year. It is easy to regret actually but the thing is we would only do things that depends on our prediction. We could've done things differently if we've seen through that bitcoin's value will rise this high at the end of the year. If you are one of those who didn't prepare properly because you never thought things would end up this way, stop wasting your time on regret, do something that may benefit you while the price of bitcoin is still sky high, for syre there's a way.

I also regretted the same thing, in March I really want to invest that tome because I am a believer in the world of crypto especially bitcoin, I know that it can recover from falling but unfortunately, I wasn't able to invest because I don't have enough money that time because of being jobless. You can buy bitcoin in a legit nd big exchanges, there are so many exchanges there, you may do it with binance or in bitcoin ATM.

All this issues occur, when people want quick profits. If you plan to remain invested for the long-term, then these temporary dips and spikes are not going to change your investment strategy. And especially with Bitcoin, those who have remained invested for more than 3-4 years have been rewarded quite handsomely. And that is the reason why I advise the newbies to accumulate as many coins as they can, even at the current levels. In the next few years, you will be definitely end up with a significant amount of profit.

Storing them online is out of question. You need to store them offline, but not in the conventional way. This is what you can do - you can write down the password or private key in a piece of paper. After this is done, you can tear it to two equal parts and then store each of these pieces at different locations. Even if a thief gets hold of one piece, he won't be able to access your wallet, as it doesn't contain the complete pass phrase.

I had to sell a lot of my bitcoin during that time :( I am so pissed off. I knew it was a bad move but I had little choice. The best way will be to store in Binance as it has 2 step verification and the exchange seems healthy for atleast this entire year. Other way would be to store on ledger hardware wallet. Please make sure you purchase it from the original website and not from amazon as the sellers might just copy the private keys before sending the hardware to you!

I'm a little bit sad and regret I didn't buy BTC earlier as well. But it's fine because we must learn a lesson from this situation. I can say I had less faith in Bitcoin and digital currencies than I should have at the end of 2019 so I was scared to invest my funds. That is awesome !!!  You already made a very good profit in a short amount of time.   Given that I continue to hear about more institutional money pouring into BitCoin, I do not think we are even close to the high yet.   There will be a time sell and take profits, because everything has a correction sooner or later.  Just keep a close eye on what is going on, and look for the top.

Taking profits does not mean get out of bitcoin forever, you can always repurchase even more BitCoin at the bottom of the correction, which is what a lot of people should have done back in March 2020 when it went down to 3900.

You are right, Institutional interest is evident in Bitcoin  since past months/years and they are also working to create awareness about Block chain Technology and crypto Industry at large because they look at it as future mode of payment and above all it is Anti Inflationary currency. They have made huge buying in November and December, 2020 that is why we had seen many parabolic candles on Daily chart.. Historically speaking, the price of BTC always comes down 20 to 30% after making its new  all time high and same thing happened few days ago when it crashed more than $10,000. Technically speaking we might see further correction in coming months when it might pull down to 21 weekly Moving Average and If BTC stays above $36500 for few weeks then we might see another All time high. Its crypto space where we see new surprise everyday.

That is not something intelligent investors would do. In investment circles, there is a saying that we should never try to catch a falling knife with our bare hands. That means that we should not purchase an asset, when the prices are crashing. It may drop t much lower levels and in that case you may incur losses. If you have the necessary funds and you have the capability to stay invested for the long-term, then just purchase the coins irrespective of the market condition. Unlike the case with stocks and bonds, with cryptocurrency we can't accurately predict the market movements. So the best thing to do would be to accumulate coins when you have enough funds and then wait for a few years to get a good ROI.

Well, there's no point reiterating the fact that you should have bought back in March when the price of bitcoin was low since you already mentioned you regretted not buying then.
However, I do believe that it is not too late to get on the moving train. Yes, you missed out on the previous bull run but then you'd missed out on more if you do not buy now.
I'd suggest you buy from top exchanges like Binance, Coinbase or FTX. That way, you're sure of not getting scammed of your hard-earned money.
Buying a hardware wallet to secure your coins is actually the best but it's expensive. If you  can't afford that, I'd suggest you create a blockchain wallet from blockchain.com

If you are planning to buy bitcoin right now just because the price is very high, I am stopping you right now before you regret on what you are trying to do. People are scared of missing out that's why they are buying bitcoins right now but what they didn't thinking is that when the bitcoin gets dump, they will regret that they buy when the amount is very high. What you need to do is to wait until the bitcoin dumps again and that's the right time to buy. If you are looking for wallet then the best wallet is hardware and it is based on my experience.

It is always difficult to know when to call a top and sell.   I just see more and more institutional money going into BitCion which I think will keep the price going up for quite a long time into the future.  The institutional money has changed everything.

Rather than whining, the noobs should invest in BTC with whatever funds they got right now. Back in 2019, I advised everyone to invest in BTC (you can check my posts from that time). I was telling everyone that it may be the last opportunity to grab some BTC at four digits. Well.. my prediction got delayed by one year or so (even in 2020 it was possible to purchase BTC under $10,000 per coin)... but those who listened to me are celebrating now.

My current advise is also the same. Invest in BTC without wasting any time. Because this may be the last opportunity to get some coins below $50,000 per coin. Once Bitcoin breaches the resistance level at $50K, then it is going to be another bull run.

My advice is based on solid facts. Right now we have only a few tens of millions of BTC users. With the growing adoption and acceptability, this number can increase by many times in the next few years. PayPal, Tesla, Master, Visa, Amazon, Apple.. all are going to jump in. If you wait until then, it is going to be too late.

You are correct, once breaking through 50,000, there is a lot of room to grow.   Just Apple alone investing in BitCoin will make the price absolutely skyrocket !!!

It is not going to happen overnight. Tesla decided to invest in Bitcoin, after more than a year of careful research on the implications. From what I have heard, Apple Pay and MasterCard are considering the options right now, but it may take some time for them to implement them. And I don't think that the cryptocurrency market will react to it before the measures are implemented. All that said, I don't think that the rally from Tesla adoption has been completed. We have just started the rally, and the picture will be clear after 3-4 months. 

I was actually losing hope and was doubting if Bitcoin's price can get any higher since a lot of things happened, and as what we can see now I kinda regretted losing hope in Bitcoin's price getting higher. But that's in the past and I believe it's not too late to make a move now. Invest as soon as possible and wait patiently for the results in the next few months or years. It will be really worth it.

ETH going up when BTC is pumping is not always the case though, back then when BTC in bullrun ETH got hammered instead because BTC market dominance increased significantly.
However, in time of BTC bullrun like this where the price is already high I think for people who are late to the party the only viable way and makes most sense is to trade. Otherwise we gonna be risking to buy at the peak if any correction awaits. But I might be wrong.

This is why we always need to look at the bigger picture and not just at the short term. Actually, it is very simple. The supply is limited and the user base is constantly going up. It can mean only one thing in the future. As the availability per capita goes down, the prices will increase. There can be short term dips, but we need to ignore these temporary fluctuations. The next bull run can begin at any time now, with mainstream adoption gathering pace. Those who miss out the opportunity now will regret about their decision later.

Don't regret anymore then and keep stacking. Not to put all your savings in but people who do dollar cost average strategies will never regret, so keep aside every month some funds to buy up BTC!

Bitcoin will keep rising and soon we are now having the first ETF from the Canada where the regulator ha already approved it. All things are now moving in right direction and will surely have more institutions accepting and investing in bitcoin 2021 than they did in 2020. So, price is set to rise and might even touch 75k this year or more.

The recent movement of bitcoin is so surprising and for sure there are much people who didn't buy at it's dip or at a low price and even when there was a retrace in price up to about $33k there didn't still buy and now those people are in regrets of not buying when prices was down and now price are at the top and it will continue rising. Buying of bitcoin isn't a big deal because there are lots of exchanges which accept fiat currency for buying crypto and also has P2P like Binance.

Buying cryptocurrency is not that easy, because mainstream exchanges ask for detailed KYC verification before you can deposit cash in your account. Even after getting your No such issue with the P2P platforms, but a lot people don't want to trust such platforms. And that's why so many new users purchased Bitcoin when PayPal made it available in their platform. Ordinary investors just want to purchase cryptocurrency from a source which is reliable, and without hassles such as KYC.

Although I would rather do the extra work, not have the third party risks and hold the BitCoin myself.   I think PayPal is safe enough, but others are not, and I do not like to trust others to hold my BitCoins for me.

Bitcoin was not designed for third party holding. The biggest advantage with Bitcoin is that, it is possible to store and transact money on your own without any outside help. If you are trusting PayPal or any of the cryptocurrency exchanges, then it is not going to be 100% safe. Obviously we can say that PayPal and some of the established exchanges such as Bitstamp and Binance have been operating for a long time.. but even then there is always a certain amount of risk associated with them. And the risk doesn't necessarily comes from hackers attacking these exchanges and stealing the coins. It can be also due to exchanges freezing your account and making your coins inaccessible to you.

You really cannot blame yourself in this kind of situations. It will constantly happen because we cannot determine the next value of Cryptocurrencies and that is what makes it risky and fun investment. There would be situations in which you would gain so much money but at that moment, you should make a decision in what to do about it. Having institutional money in BitCoin is a HUGE change.  As a matter of fact, institutional investment in BitCoin changes everything even if you do not want to admit it.

If you have even a 5 grade level of rational thinking,  ask yourself, WHERE would BitCoins price be if Tesla, and all the institutional money announced that they were SELLING and not investing in anymore Bitcion ???

It is true that the current price of bitcoin is rising, but is it possible that bitcoin will exceed the current ATH price? If so, keep holding your assets.
I think the best thing in storing assets depends on the owner himself, why? because even though it is as sophisticated and safe as storage, if the owner is careless, it will still be lost / hacked. My advice is safe storage using a hardware wallet, and using a private key even 2fa.

I think BitCoin will outperform gold in the short term, personally I would stay in BitCoin.   I would also think that BitCion gets to 100,000 well before gold reaches 3400, based on increased institutional investors.

The problem with Gold is that you can not get it once you know you need it.   BitCoin is more risk, but has a lot more upside potential in the short term.

Your Risk Tolerance and timeline would have a huge factor on weather you invest in BitCoin or Gold.

BOTTOM LINE:   If I were investing 50,000 dollars today, I would invest in BitCoin, and wait to buy gold until later on.   Of course some black sawn event can always change things quickly, so you would have to watch the markets and what is going on in the world, and be able to change strategy very quickly if needed.

My Bad, you are correct, bitcoin would have earned ~$225,000 , read the wrong #s.
However a Doge investor would still have earned alot more than bitcoin for the same fiat investment.

I suppose there are many alternative cryptocurrencies that have outperformed Bitcoin in a given period of time. Take LINK for example.

That is correct. The impact from institutional investment won't be visible in one or two weeks. The rally is going to occur over a period of many months, or even years, as the supply dried up at the market. The important thing to note here is to avoid panic selling, and to keep your coins safe and secure to protect them from hackers. I would say that for the best returns, you need to keep your coins for at least 4 more years. The longer you hold, the greater will be the profits. But obviously, I am not saying that you need to hold your coins till 2100.

50K was supposed to be a major correction level, but Bitcoin breached that level with relative ease. Now I don't expect any major resistance to appear before 100K. With supply of fresh coins drying up and institutional investment picking pace, we can expect the prices to reach the vicinity of 100K by the end of this year. But the risk factors remain. Any hostile action from the SEC or the FinCen will be having a huge negative impact on the prices.

But I believe we could agree that Dogecoin is a better investment, AND the better coin that Bcash and Bcash SV, no? 8)

Bitcoin is so volatile. We don't know the exact time when will get to reach the 100k but I think and I agree that it'll be this year. Bitcoin can be so dangerous because of its unstable value or being decentralized. Right now, the market has somw big dump happening and I think that is the right time to buy bitcoin or other coins. Don't be so regretful, we all know that we didn't sure about the future and we are clueless. We are so shocked that ot reaches above 50k right now. Doesn’t that only show that making transactions in those coins have less demand? Plus I believe Dogecoin transactions have more demand than Bcash, and Bcash SV. Am I right? Dogecoin is then better than Bcash, and Bcash SV? 8)


Flawed, and not as good to secure a giant, like Bitcoin. 8)
