Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ?

If you buy land, each year even if you don't work it you get weeds ... if you dry them you can use them to make a fire ...and in turn that generates energy ...

Meaning: that piece of land is giving you a dividend each year .

Where's my dividend if i invest in crypto ?  

Why do you think that these things which are valid for conservative kinds of Investments would also be valid for Bitcoins??

This is honestly something a big problem for the whole community day after day people come down to try and compare them with things like : Land and Gold. Now you have to understand for a fact that you cannot sort out your dividend here what you can do is to see how your investment went over the years.

For example if you did invest at a time when btc was x , you can cash out when it's 3x and get 2x as dividend!! Which is something that you would ofcourse have to consider since in how many years would you get this 2x dividend?? From your land ?? How many years exactly??

The same story on what I have experienced when there is my co-worker asked me about BTC and made arguments, the last words that I said to him, "If you dont believe me, I will not force you, but if I am successful someday, you will know what is the reason". Nevertheless, if you think investing a land, precious metals, and other stocks that you feel which better, go on, and believe what you believed.

There is something called capital appreciation.

The businesses that grow the most in the long term do not pay dividends; capital simply grows more and more.

It's just natural to say that weed comes in a package once you buy a new land and what you mean to ask about in crypto/Bitcoin is your profit. I don't think you will get it as if Bitcoin is like a natural resources that would work on their asses such as doing photosynthesis itself but the answer is no.

Bitcoin can't do that to you but instead you can do it on your own that's why you need to trade/buy/sell in order to get your desired profit. There's no dividend in crypto every year unless you do something about it.

Two different kind of investment that cannot be compared, and both could be a long term or short term investment.
Both could also be a good investment as well. So, I don't know why you're comparing this two different types of investment. If you don't think you'll profit from crypto more than If you own a land, then simply stay out of crypto and focus on buying lands.

If the dividends gives you enough that you thought you wouldn't need any kind if of new investments especially crypto currencies, then it's fine. Remember that it's own choice, but this is a new beginning for the monetary system and I pretty sure would regret not giving much attention in to it when it'll be accepted by majority of the people in ok n the world. If dividends is what you looking for, that's just a little portion compare to the potential price that bitcoin will show you in the future. Just for the sake of investment, if you've bought 1 bitcoin last March 2020, you've already multiplied it by 10x-11x if you sold at the top.
Nobody forces you to invest in bitcoin or cryptos. Invest to what you know, you don't need any reason from others just to persuade you to invest.

It is your choice to invest in crypto or not, but land and crypto are of very different nature and cannot be compared. But crypto has given really good returns since its beginning, let alone btc be considered. I don't think we need to give you any proof when Bitcoin itself has proved you its power in just one year.

Not on other cryptos, but on bitcoin, I stick on bitcoin whatever happen because I know that it is worth it to wait and expected that there is another ATH will come in the future, time to time, another ATH will be broken and each ATH will cost thousand to millions of dollar that can be made in bitcoin. If you can wait for a perfect time, it will surely have dividends and don't look only for a short period of time.

To be realistic, land can not make you the profits that bitcoin can in any given time frame so long us you have perfectly executed those buy orders at the price dip.

It is really up to the OP if he will venture in crypto or not. Real estate is by any means a tangible investment and if you have the capacity to invest, you should. In crypto, it is a whole different aspect here. If you are a risk taker and know the consequences involved, why not? But it is always better to spend what you can afford to lose, if we are talking crypto. When you compare it to tangible assets, it is different. You know at anytime of the day, you still have the asset and it will only grow in time. Not with high returns but at least you can sleep peacefully knowing that your tangible assets will not disappear. However, in crypto, a user should know what he is getting into. This is a very volatile and risky investment, and not all people can get their target profits, they can even lose all their funds in just short period of time.

You misunderstood the capabilities of crypto investments. While you grab the opportunity of crypto market's volatility and you make a profits on that way.
 
 Comparing the two different kind of investments will just give you wrong impressions or scattered understanding. Real estate investments like lands is way different from crypto investments.  Just so you know, if land gives you dividend each year. Crypto investments will also give you more than you expected and in a short period of time if you enter in a good time.

That actually depends on how will you invest in Alternate Cryptocurrencies. There are situations in which a new Cryptocurrency is capable of boosting its value to at least x10 its initial value and that profit is so great that you have to be always spectating it. Investing on Bitcoin is also the same with Alternate Cryptocurrencies but there will be moments that this Alt's will yield a greater profit since they are starting from a small value.

I don't think it's that easy. Buying land won't just give you dividends or energy, you are going to have to work for it. Or you have to rent it out to somr farmers who will then work on the land. In my country the rent income is very low for land itself
The only way to make money is to build and house or office for rent. But then you have to invest a lot before hand and it's going to take a long time to pay off.

The thing you said depending of the country to live and the amount of money you have because you can never buy a land or invest in real estate with 100 bucks while you can easily invest this amount of money on crypto or even less. Also, in order to invest on real estate you will need to have some information about the place and try to predict the future. However, investing on real estate in a good idea. If you are looking to find a way to get 'dividend' (income) each year, you can easily try POS - proof of stack coins and by hodling them you will get some share.

You should not invest in bitcoin or any other coin in the cryptocurrency market, the market is not for everyone to try their luck and try to make money and if you or anyone thinks that there are many other platforms that make sense to you it is your decision and choice.

If you let a land stand alone and do nothing will it give you dividends? I am not sure what your argument is or what is the point of your post, with your current rank I am sure you are well aware of what crypto is and what is its potential. Crypto is not for everybody and you can't force anyone to take part of crypto. Land is a good investment, so as crypto, however can you buy a land in small pieces or chunks and still get something from it?

I think your way of land and crypto is wrongly judge the each platform, Because both are different from each other.
Crypto currencies have short term profit, mid term profit and long term profit is available in the market. But land is purely based on the long term profit and crypto is more convenient to handle the transaction compare to land.

Investing in Bitcoin is good for long term because of its high volatility, meaning the more you wait, the big profits you'll get unlike in altcoins. However, investing in Bitcoin are for those who has big patient, and has enough knowledge knowing that Bitcoin's huge pump and dump is normal, because if an investor didn't know about it, he will surely do panic selling always.

While investing in Altcoins, the stable ones are good for short term, small profits but still profits.

To me, dividents sound ridiculous if compared to Bitcoin and what it can become. I guess it's for everyone to decide what do you want most: something small, that you'll get right away or something big, but you'll have to be patient and wait for it.

I believe that before investing, an investor chooses an asset, studies it, and only then invests. As for cryptocurrencies, you can study the history of the development of cryptocurrencies for a start and you can see that many cryptocurrencies have already given huge profits to those who have invested in them. In other words, the one who believed and took the risk would now make the most profit than if they invested in other assets. As for investments in land, there are also risks here and you can also lose as well as earn. Everyone chooses an asset for investment based on their personal vision and desire. I used to also work on the ground, but it did not bring me a good profit. Now I'm in crypto and it's much better than my previous job.

I don't know why you are relating these two field with dividends. These two types of investment aren't the same as well as its nature. If dividends are your primary concern, then go to stocks and wait for your yearly dividends.

Although investments are not of the same nature bitcoin investments are very profitable. The demand for this currency from other currencies is huge and traders have benefited a lot by investing their own dividends many countries around the world are investing in bitcoin to improve their countries if you hold the cryptocurrency for more than a year it is profitable and it is a long term capital gain or loss. Then your cryptocurrencies qualify for a more favorable long term rate keep an eye on your transactions so you know where you are.

not all lands already have a weeds on them but you will need to make an effort and a capital to plan your own crops  but if you will buy cryptos you can just sit there and stare in your screen seeing your money grow overtime  and one more thing is that the dividends you can get are also trippled than what you are getting in your land  .

There are different kinds of assets, you should know that, there are assets that give something besides the asset itself, assets like bonds, stocks and land are a good example of this, there are other assets that do not give you anything by themselves, assets like fiat, gold and bitcoin fall in this category, if you do not like it then do not invest in bitcoin, you are an obvious bear and you do not like the technology so you are free to not use it, however it should be obvious by now why bitcoin is such a good choice taking into account everything that happened during 2020 and if you are not convinced by now then you never will.

This your own choice where to invest . for example if you buy land worth 15000$ 4 years ago today land price will be approx. 17000$ to 25000$ Max but if you buy Bitcoin about 4 years ago today value will be 145,500$.

At least, you can see your investment value will increase, although the investment value can decrease following the price at the market. But if you pick the right coins, such as bitcoin, you will see the investment value will increase bigger, and if you sell at the right time, you will make a big profit. You can not expect to see your money grow in the short term because that will need time for the price to increase. But if you do not want to have a crypto investment, you do not have to do that. You can use your money to search for the other investment type.

If you are still asking why you are investing into something that means you should not be investing into that thing, because there aren't really a reason that we could share with you that you already can't find online.

Go google search "why do people invest into bitcoin" and you will get a million answers, or if you want to invest into another coin you could always write "why do people invest into X coin" and put any coin you want instead of X and you will be basically finding insane amount of returns, or you could talk with people and they can tell you but it won't be too much different from the answers you find in google neither.

The reason why you need to invest on bitcoin is because among other cryptocurrencies dumping, bitcoin is still leading the position. This is the season for those who invested wisely to achieve something good from their Investment.  Since bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrencies that is dumping right now, show that bitcoin price will still move to $50k soon.

You shouldn't invest in crypto, crypto is a scam, a big pump and dump scheme in the long run. You should invest in Bitcoin, providing you understand the risks and know how to use it safely. For two things OP. Financial and Economic Security. Most of us here would invest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general for the money, because it offers great profitability we can't find anywhere else, although of course this doesn't come without high risks as well. There's two side on this and I agree that he shouldn't invest on crypto which doesn't have any good future nor have a good systematic planning since if he invest without doing a research he might get fall from scams and other pump and dump scheme as you said. If people are new into this maybe better to go with bitcoin Ethereum and other top since this is the basic and got a good reputation on their investments.

Nice explanation. Some people compared Bitcoin with oil and gold too. From my neighbors, some of my mates also thinking same as like OP. There is a risk which is less in gold and oil compared with cryptocurrency investment. Taking risk after knowing is a big thing and Making investment will be considered as advance level. So, you must believe in your work which you gonna make. Do whatever your mind goes for, don't give up.

If you are going for a coin that is outside the top-20 list, then you need to do proper research about its future potential. Out of the 10,000 or so different cryptocurrencies created so far, more than 90% are now dead or dormant. If you make investment in the wrong project, then you may end up losing all of your capital. For now, I would stick with the already established coins, such as Bitcoin, Cardano and Ethereum.

I believe there are too many answers but I think the best one could be basically "I do not want to be in the fiat world", why need anything else? I have been in the fiat world for a very long time, there if I have a debt and fail to pay I get all my things taken (could be definitely well deserved) while big names like huge banks go into debt and they just get bailed out.

I am not saying small time people like me should not pay their debt too, in that case nobody would pay anything, but when you give them money so they do not bankrupt, and you do not take taxes from them in name of tax cuts and basically you make them richer and richer all the time, that doesn't make any sense to me at all, I would rather live in a situation where we are all equal, do not pay my debt too but at least bankrupt those big banks as well that is what we should be doing.

When it comes to dividend, that's another topic which I believe it's not associated with bitcoin, just 21 million except you would want to lend out or stake in a reputable exchange or platform to earn some interest term as APY.
There are also other some altcoins who pay dividend to their holders expecially the centralized exchanges such a kucoin exchange, Binance exchange. They alway buy back and share this token to holders inform of dividend.

What kind of land are we talking here? farm land? yes if may give you dividend each year, but the profits are not the same. Plus if you are going for crops, you also need to have capital to begin with. And then you have one enemy, Mother Nature. Sometimes your harvest are going to be different specially if there are typhoons coming your way. And then we have the extreme drought, El Nino phenomena. Weeds? that's illegal in most country, so if you are caught, then jail time for you.

We cant really just ignore those typical inherited or given or bought land but to know the fact that it will vary on how will you utilize those lands for your own benefit.Not all would really be capable to be planted
and it does need significant amount for you to make out some commercial rental buildings or simply tries to plant something but i cant really just ignore that kind of fact when it comes to benefits in long

I think that I get the jest of what it is that your referring to my friend. I believe that you your asking what benefits will you occur from investing in cryptocurrency's and how does it's very complicated o understand dividend systems work. Bitcoin is the founding coin and it's dividend system is based upon a peer to peer "proof of work" to operate. IN order to generate more coins, you must become a miner through validating transactions by solving cryptographic puzzles.
   Bitcoin doesn't really offer dividends as rewards, but rewards participation from miners. However the lightning network helps you earn as a node. Now Ethereum is a whole different ball game my friend. Ethereum just recently became a "proof of stake". "Proof of Stake" lets you earn dividends by locking tokens up tokens by staking them. Staking nets you interests in whatever proof of stake coin you invest in, granted that you have enough to actually yield anything.
  Their are many different ways  to earn dividends, here is one more. It is called Defi, which is short for "Decentralized Finance".  You lock up collateral by lending it to a decentralized platform and in turn you can earn governance tokens, which have their own market value, as well as interest on your lent coins. The biggest thing about it is you can as borrow against your lent collateral while it's earning interest.
  These are just a few examples, so please remember to practice your due diligence and do some research before making any investment. The best investment is always an investment in yourself (priceless)!

The great truth is, You can't stay away from Bitcoin, You have to accept it or you have to see the success of others people who invested in Bitcoin.

Nowadays the potential of profits when investing in bitcoin is higher than when buying a piece land. Furthermore, to make profit with your land you would still need a big investment besides buying it to turn it into a profitable activity and a lot of personal effort.

With bitcoin it's different. You just buy the amount of coins you wish, it can be a big or a small investment, and wait until they increase in price.

However I'm not saying to buy a land is a bad investment. Actually it's a very safe and desired one, but the point is that it's not so simple and cheap like buying bitcoins and other crypto. If you have financial conditions just go for both options: crypto currencies and lands.

Your analysis of the two totally different investments shows you do not completely understand what bitcoin and cryptocurrency is. Real estate can not be compared with the modus of bitcoin. While land is as ancient as it comes bitcoin is as modern a technology that has made the lives of many great. On the other hand if you want to compare the level of profits generated by both, you can give it to bitcoin. An investment in land can not give you the profit as what bitcoin gives within a specified period of time. Imagne if you invested as low as $6000 in bitcoin in 2020 and the same amount in land too. That $6,000 would have given you more than $60k in less than a year which land can not give.

No one will force you to invest in bitcoin, it is up to you if you want to then go if you don't want then it is your loss. If you don't want a high risk then I don't think that bitcoin will suit you.

I have always noticed that a lot of new members here are comparing some other things to bitcoin, such as gold then now the land, cryptocurrency is different from such things so don't expect too many things that you may acquire in real life to crypto.

It's quite ironic that you are saying this when Bitcoin is going through its best phase ever. Your dividend? The price increasing every year is the dividend and whether you sell or not is up to you.

In fact, if you just buy Bitcoins every year and sell them at the end of every year, you will easily make more profit than you would make by purchasing land and doing anything with it.

That is a pretty strong argument to go into cryptos instead of real estate. I agreed with you. We have ultra low interest rates for almost 15 years now, loans have been so cheap for ages, which makes buying land so expensive. Everybody wants to own an apartment or house because you get money for free these days. That is also why house prices have been rising for the past 20 years without dropping at all. Even now with corona the prices are not falling.

You can take advantage of crypto investing when the price goes up, when you get a profit from your investment it is tantamount to a dividend. You don't need to invest in bitcoin because it is not compulsory, no one will require you to do it, it is only you who will decide if you want to trust bitcoin to give you good income in the future from investing in it. Actually, profit is there no second opinion about it, but the point OP is trying to make is how we can get passive or continuous income from the investment because to buy daily necessities you need a regular flow of money. My answer would be quite simple, sell some bitcoins and cash them for needs.

Imagine you invested $12k last year and purchased 1 BTC.

You sell 0.02 BTC each month, for 12 months let's imagine. You ended up spending 0.24 BTC in a year.

BTC price went from 12k to 50k which means you 4x your money and despite selling ~25% of your coins, you still have around $37k with yourself.

So, that is how one can sell BTC and still remain in profit but yeah I don't think these kind of bull runs will continue happening every year.

In crypto, is it only that you gain profits thru dividends??
If so you know, there is a thing called capital appreciation. I don't want to explain it because it is a very basic term in investing but in summary, when you bought a coin and then it went up or increased then it is called capital appreciation.

In crypto, there are some coins that are offering staking which is considered dividends in crypto (or at least that is what I know). Now to answer your question, you should invest into it because if you want to support the future then you must. Now if you don't want to gain capital appreciation overtime or to support the technology then its your decision. In the end its your decision not mine so don't ask question like this again :P.

I am seeing the bitcoin's volatility as a potential or a good factor but maybe a bad factor for some people because in bitcoin you can earn profit or money by its volatility in which if the price of bitcoin goes up then for sure your money will go up also but when bitcoin is down then your investment in bitcoin will be down also. Always remember that investing in bitcoin is not like buying a land and wait for several years in order for it to goes higher, it is different on bitcoin or cryptocurrency because even though it may take some years, if the price of the bitcoin remains stable then the money that you've invested in crypto will remain the same.

We shouldn't compare bitcoin with land. If we compare fiat with land, then also, if you hold lots of fiat money, you won't get a dividend, will you? Rather with inflation, your cash will get lower in value and hence that's a bad investment. As population grows, obviously land price will also grow and that's why investing in land makes sense. Crypto doesn't have any similarities with land in anyway besides being an investment tool. what if you buy a miner and not a land and start mining your own coin  .
you dont need to work once you setup and run a crypto miner but it has double purposes , 1 is you can mine a crypto and sell that for profit and 2 is you can convert the heat coming out from your miner into something that is valueable because it generates energy too same as your explanation above when you bought your land .

Bitcoin risk is too high but it's in line with profit rate. I just want to give a suggestion as an investor, I think it will be wise if we divide our wealth to some different types of investment. I personally only invest about 10% of my wealth in BTC but I also regret about this, I think I should increase the amount of my investment in bitcoin because I have earned aproximately 500% profit from bitcoin. Maybe I should increase that amount to 20% to 25% since bitcoin investment is profitable investment.

It is really tough to earn money from crypto investment without market analysis. Firstly, we should gain knowledge about crypto investment then we should need to research the market. Entering in crypto on right time can bear a good return for future.

I have heard this analysis thing so many times but I fail to understand how you can determine whether a project that even looks promising is going to be executed perfectly? You can analyze how the product might look in the future but there is always execution required to make it work and once the ICO or money is raised, I have seen most of the teams just doing the formality of doing basic promotion and building and then move on to another project.

I rather look at team members' names and then decide to invest, like when Polkadot was being hyped I never hesitated to invest some because Gavin, the co-founder of Ethereum was behind the project and success was always going to come if even late. I believe even though the nature of these projects is decentralized but still, a lot depends on who is behind the scenes because big names will not leave the project hanging in the air.

The reason that OP is not ready to put money into crypto is because OP is a greedy person in my opinion, we all know that there is no dividends with bitcoin but we know that our investments will grow overtime, I think what OP wants is when he/she invests in crypto is that it has to behave like a blue chip stocks.

Not in all crypto but you need to be specific in good cryptos like what the title says first, bitcoin. The next ones are the top altcoins like Ethereum which is also pumping lately which has broken the barrier of $2,000. There are also some altcoins that are being pushy with its prices and keeps on moving up and because of this bull run, everyone is expecting  that most of the cryptos are going to move up. But the higher the profit you're expecting, the harder you'll get back on track especially when you chose the wrong altcoins.

We all should be. Why? Simple answer, because each year Bitcoin is assumed to have price increase and also other cryptocurrencies at some point of their existence. Why can't you take that as an answer? Land and cryptos are two different things having two different values, they shouldn't be compared with each other.

It is not even assumed, aside from 2018 every year we have gone up, every single year. I am not saying the same will definitely happen because I may never know what's going to happen with bitcoin in the future (nobody can "know", just assume) but it is obvious that we have done something that helped us so far, which means we should be capable of profiting from it in the future as well.

Why? Simple fact of "we made money from bitcoin before and that means we will continue to do so in the future as well" is not the reason, the reason is that we have gone high enough that we know for a fact that bitcoin has nothing wrong with it, it is still quite profitable and that means we are going to end up profiting from it in the long run as well as long as nothing bad happens. Nobody can guarantee anything but bitcoin is not broken so why would it start losing people money?

You should invest in bitcoin and other crypto now because that is the famous investment in your generation, the profitable investment and the new types of currency. Why you are going to invest if you don't have dividend out of your investment? I think investing in crypto has a higher dividend if you compared it to other real assets.

The real question should be, "why not"? I agree because back in 2016 when I have not really known much about Bitcoin, I never hesitated to invest just because I saw from the little I knew that I could make profits from investing in it and that was it. There are lots of people that don't believe in bitcoin must of them even think Bitcoin is a scam and they can't even imagine investing it, must of them always say they can't invest in what they are not seeing. But to be very honest anything you are trying to invest on has risk and if you are not ready to take the risk that means you are not ready to be rich but to be honest one of the best place to invest in and be expecting maximize profits is BITCOIN. I know there are lots of risks associated with bitcoin but I believe that's just normal about life and not only cryptocurrency alone you have to take the risk before you can make it. You could never go wrong if you buy land instead of cryptocurrency, buying land was always a win as long as you consider the location and it's a good spot, the value would always go high I just not sure in other countries.

The profit in cryptocurrency like bitcoin is different, let's just say it's faster compared to investing in land, after a few years you land probably gonna would even more but in bitcoin it could easily be x10 or even more after a few years.

When you have funds and you buy land that's a good thing, but you could probably afford 3 or more land if you invest in first in bitcoin and then just buy land after taking a profit in a few years but consider that the land was also increasing its value.

I think both are very much needed in our life. both land and crypto are equally good for investing. This was honestly my first ever reason to be in bitcoin. Nowadays I do make a profit and I do care about how much profit I make, but the profit I made wasn't the intention I had when I first came here, it was purely something that I happen to have without really trying to get it, and since it is not a huge amount I would say it was understandable.

The better approach to bitcoin was the first thing I did, but that is when you first get in and eventually you are corrupted as well, yes being part of this amazing revolution is awesome and I am feeling happy everyday about it, but this doesn't change the fact that we made some profit thanks to this as well and the more you start to profit the better it starts to feel and that is why I am not sure if I can say my real aim didn't change at all, it changed a bit when I looked at how much my bitcoins worth as soon as bitcoin reached over 1k dollars for the first time.

I understand that there are people out there who still do not understand the importance of bitcoin or why it is awesome, but that is not our job to teach them why it is awesome, I would rather let them not understand the whole point of it really. You know why? Because that means there are still people who did not get any crypto and price of crypto currencies are not at the max, they will eventually realize why it is so awesome and join, and I rather join before they do, I rather buy as much as I can afford before they do the same and that way I will be way earlier.

All those "I wish I bought bitcoin at 30 cents" things are still valid considering people are still not fully involved, less than 5% of the whole world population ever owned bitcoin, that is not including people who sold and now have none, this is total number of people who once had crypto even if they don't know. So, it is still very raw and it will definitely go super high.

Its because we cannot let crypto as a mini group of players field, instead we have responsibility to explain its value and its knowledge to people who have not fully understood cryptocurrency yet.
