Only by the newbies and people who do not understand it. People who are "investing" into bitcoin alone without realizing the power of it are people who do not understand the power bitcoin gives you. What we need is not bitcoin at a million dollars, that should not be the aim of bitcoin and it wasn't the reason why it was created at all. What we need is bitcoin being accepted everywhere, get bitcoin transaction fee into under 50 cents range and then get bitcoin accepted all over the world even on the street vendors (almost all of us have smart phone so we can use apps) and that would be the real reason why bitcoin was created.

However I am afraid you are right about people checking it as an investment and that's it, I know that it is seen like that because crypto is something that is getting higher and higher in price but that is because more people own it as well, maybe spending it should get a look as well.

You could never go wrong if you buy land instead of cryptocurrency, buying land was always a win as long as you consider the location and it's a good spot, the value would always go high I just not sure in other countries.

The profit in cryptocurrency like bitcoin is different, let's just say it's faster compared to investing in land, after a few years you land probably gonna would even more but in bitcoin it could easily be x10 or even more after a few years.

When you have funds and you buy land that's a good thing, but you could probably afford 3 or more land if you invest in first in bitcoin and then just buy land after taking a profit in a few years but consider that the land was also increasing its value.

I think both are very much needed in our life. both land and crypto are equally good for investing. Dumbass, that's not how you generate electricity, pretty sure that there's a lot of things that is needed before an energy is generated through burning plus, you can't use weeds because they don't turn into carbon or coal, they become ash when you burn them plus you contribute to air pollution by emitting carbon. You can dry the weed for free by leaving it to sun as well, it is just man hours that is spent by collecting it and leaving it to dry on the sun. However it is a stupid argument, same as "if I spend my money to manufacture something, I get a return, what does crypto in return creates?" and has been a talk for years.

People assume that you have to invest into something that generates something for the world, in that case we shouldn't invest into gold neither, because gold is gold and many people just buy gold bricks and hold them and sell them and that's it, nothing more, they do not buy it to make something more valuable out of it neither. Stock market is not that much different, even though it is totally based on corporations, but it is still not doing anything to earn money, you just buy hold and gain. You don't have to invest in cryptocurrency. Actually I also planning to buy land and focus to grow my asset. But I will not leave cryptocurrency since for me cryptocurrency is part of the future. More than just making money out of it, investing in cryptocurrency (the right cryptocurrency), it also protects you from inflation and dependence to your salary especially when the bills are piling high. You are wrong in my opinion about the definition of "investment" though, I think it's more close to putting something believing that it will go up and your initial belief being rewarded through different forms of profit.
