From a traders point of view and with the little trading experience I have, I have found bitcoin to be more volatile and profitable than ethereum which makes it a good investment as it allows you to buy and sell it when ever price either goes up or down...ethereum not a good investment because it hadly makes any big moves!

Just remember to apply the buy low and sell high strategy and vice versa.
I guess this is from a hodlers point of view, but from what people have been talking about and seeing big companies joining the crypto industry bitcoin is slated to hit $100k or more and AFAIK in crypto people have always said there is no wrong or right time to buy crypto...and I have found this to be true so I trust and believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I think willing to take a loss in crypto is very important but when you diversify that is when you lose less money and when earning you are more lucky because any one of them could go up. You are semi-right and semi-wrong. I do agree that it doesn't have to stay at two, it could drop and become somewhere in top ten but not the big one. However at the same time I believe it could go up as well, which means while others do 4x, ethereum should do 2x and that should happen a few times. BNB for example needs to do nearly 10x to reach that.

So long story short, I do agree that ethereum could drop and not be the second biggest coin, however I do think that it will continue to go up as well anyway. That's what I imagine would happen, I can't say that it will definitely happen but I think it will probably happen in the future.

I totally agree with you on this one because to me, I too really don't like to do a comparison between the two cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is the Genesis of cryptocurrency and Ethereum and others have followed in its foot steps. While we have the totally Scam ones, Ethereum as the second best cryptocurrency has proven itself to come to that position by proof of the support of its investors and I don't see any reason to compare both Bitcoin and Ethereum which is best cos both of them to me have proved and still proving their worth.

Many people think it is crazy to see ethereum at 5k because we lived a whole year under 200 dollars so they are afraid that ethereums real price is lower and what we are seeing right now is not the true price but only just a hype.

Exactly. We cannot compare both cryptocurrencies because they're completely different from the other. It's like comparing apples vs oranges. Ethereum is a general purpose blockchain with a focus on decentralized applications, while Bitcoin is a blockchain designed to be used solely for finance. Whereas Ethereum is useful for Web 3 applications, Bitcoin is useful as a store of value for censorship-resistant payments across borders. Neither will replace the other because each of them serve a unique purpose in life.

I'd say that both cryptocurrencies will remain as the leading force of the industry for a very long time. They'll never die or get old thanks to the community supporting them every step of the way. When it comes to deciding for a long term investment outlook in Cryptocurrency, I will take bitcoin instead of ethereum.  Bitcoin has been before ethereum came along. The factors that make bitcoin the number one Cryptocurrency are still there and are been strengthen as the days goes by.  Ethereum without a doubt has been a good altcoin but bitcoin is more decentralized than ethereum.  So,  I will go for bitcoin!

To start with, I will say that you don’t need to choose between them, just buy both Bitcoin and Ethereum for the long-term.  But as we have already started comparing them, then I will say that Ethereum is much more attractive, to my mind. Of course, BTC is more popular and has a bigger market cap, but it is not developing now. As opposed to Bitcoin blockchain, a lot of defi projects appear on Ethereum, and now we all wait for the launch of Ethereum 2.0. Developers are  improving their product and it is obvious and very valuable.

Until now I still choose Bitcoin over ETH. I've gotten a lot of advantages from Bitcoin compared to ETH. Sometimes I think Bitcoin is more valuable than gold. Gold supply isn't fixed, but Bitcoin is burning in different wallets with a limited supply. i hope you took profit after posting this. currently, the market is gradually returning back to the proper stage. i doubt if this is what we called consolidation and balance. the crypto market is currently down. ethereum for me since it has a better usecase than bitcoin. bitcoin serve the main purpose of means of exchange and the first cryptocurrency but ethereum has so many usecase far from payment services.

Bitcoin is first digital currency and miner mine this coin In high quantity on daily basis. Demand is also so high. When ever one want to enterbin crypto field first he try to get information of Bitcoin. Also Most companies like Tesla etc are accepting bitcoin which will inceease demand with time.
Etherium is smartchain and many topclass coins uses Etherium network. High fee is ine of the issue but soon will be resolved. We can expect 10k from Eth.

Both are the best in my opinion. For investment, I recommend choosing Ethereum. Ethereum can be for long-term investments as well as for short-term investments. First, Ethereum is cheaper than BTC, so it's easy to get to. When we have small capital, we can buy and sell quickly when the chart is up.

But if you plan to take shorter time holding, maybe you can choose alts top 3 listed on binance, high volume make their price fluctuative and you can do buy and sell in the short time.

To be frank, there is nothing to compare here, Bitcoin is the king and the top cryptocurrency not just because it is the first but because it offers the most decentralized blockchain, secure and reliable, and because of this reliability made a lot of people to value it more than any other crypto; so yes it is the best.
On the part of Ethereum, Ethereum is good as well, in fact it is the most valuable altcoin but I don't think it can be compared to Bitcoin, rather I will say Ethereum knows it's place in the crypto space and thus keeping to it. I have never seen any sort of competition between Ethereum and Bitcoin, in fact no coin is competing with Bitcoin.
In addition, when you see news of most big cooperations buying cryptocurrency, which coin do they mostly buy? Bitcoin, because they know it can be trusted while on the other hand, when you see most cooperation looking for a blockchain to work on, they mostly go for Ethereum because it offers the best smart contracts; so you can see there is no competition between them, so no need for comparison.
Thus, you can invest in both or any of them depending on your capital.

BTC or ETH I think are currently interrelated in the market. BTC affects the altcoin market. and we all benefit from the BTC pump. looks like we are entering a new rally. BTC or ETH, if you can take advantage of the momentum created in the market then you will benefit.

Both projects are strong and really good project but both of them have a high fee which is not suited for micro transactions, this is one that I hate in these two great coins and sometimes the transaction is longer than usual but if I'm going to choose from one of the two I think Ethereum because there's a lot of projects under the Ethereum or ERC-20 since i'm more on an altcoin person I think ETH is the best for me.

ETH is a smart contract chain and BTC is a single coin base chain.ETH and BTC are the same good but have different system features. BTC is the first framework structure initiation of Cryptocurrency and its price should be higher than ETH chain price. But we can't be predicted the future as well as what is going with the ETH price.  

You can't analyze them straightforwardly since the two of them have their own utilization case. BTC drives the entire market, in spite of Ethereum's huge exchange charges there are still a great deal of Ethereum allies and a ton of activities utilizing their foundation. There is no sense looking at great digital currencies as they fill various needs and they are the top coins in crypto.

What if both prices are currently on the increase. Do we have to wait cheap? For me, the right way to invest in BTC and ETH is buying with the current amount of capital available. If the capital we have can only buy 0.000001 BTC, then just buy it first. So no need to wait.

How popular was Bitcoin five years ago? Bitcoin also made a lot of progress during the last five years. And in case of Ethereum, the ICO occurred in 2014 and the project wasn't fully developed until the end of 2015. So hardly anyone knew about Ethereum five years back.
