Both are the best for me even do a top 10 coins in the CMC are also the best as always, I earn a lot from those two bitcoin and etherium for so long and one of the trusted coins that I choose to buy and hold. And I know there some kind of coins right now that have a potential or try to surpass those two but it will take to long before that happen maybe more years has come.

Ethereum is continuing as the no.2 cryptocurrency just because of the monopoly it had on smart contract platforms in the beginning. But that scenario is now changing, with a number of competitors posing stiff competition to Ethereum in this field. The ETH developers are trying to delay the decline, by creating hype related to ETH 2.0. But in due time, everyone will understand that ETH 2.0 is just an eyewash.

You are semi-right and semi-wrong. I do agree that it doesn't have to stay at two, it could drop and become somewhere in top ten but not the big one. However at the same time I believe it could go up as well, which means while others do 4x, ethereum should do 2x and that should happen a few times. BNB for example needs to do nearly 10x to reach that.

So long story short, I do agree that ethereum could drop and not be the second biggest coin, however I do think that it will continue to go up as well anyway. That's what I imagine would happen, I can't say that it will definitely happen but I think it will probably happen in the future.

This of course after we see what this eth 2.0 brings, maybe it will make it so great that it will solidify the second position and make it so much better, if that happens I think it will be both higher price and more worthy as well.

I guess I've read about it in this thread too. or several other discussions also stated that the renewal will be carried out in July. I hope everything will be resolved in a short time. everyone's waiting, and I don't think the trust in ethereum will just drop.

I totally agree with you on this one because to me, I too really don't like to do a comparison between the two cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is the Genesis of cryptocurrency and Ethereum and others have followed in its foot steps. While we have the totally Scam ones, Ethereum as the second best cryptocurrency has proven itself to come to that position by proof of the support of its investors and I don't see any reason to compare both Bitcoin and Ethereum which is best cos both of them to me have proved and still proving their worth.

But that is no longer a wow at this point because everyone already knows that making smart contracts and tokens through the Ethereum platform is very easy, but now through other platforms it is also very easy to make smart contracts and tokens, and for ETH 2.0 it also hasn't had any effect on Ethereum because it has been around long ago.

Yeah I think ETH is at risk of fizzling out, ETH 2.0 was such a buzz last year and it's been extremely slow, I'd have thought for a big team and an almost-centralised project like ethereum would have much more out there by now.

We can't further tell how effective will be this ETH2.0 upgrade until the moment launched. We are just hoping that it gives a huge help to lessen the huge fees that we cried about. Ethereum used to built dapps and bitcoin for transaction only, even though we can create side chain for nitcoin for it smart contract, so those two coin has different use cases. But if we vote which coin is the best according to price, i'll say bitcoin will still here for maybe hundred years while ethereum is now in critical situation because of its high fees.

Indeed. Well atleast eth is one of the alts that can compete to bitcoin as the second reliable coin and trusted by many investors. If only the problem regarding high fees gets resolved probably more investors will include eth on their portfolio.  Anyway what im certain is btc and eth are both well-established and good either for short or long term investment.

Both coins are good for future investment but Bitcoin is the best.  Bitcoin velocity is increasing day by day. And as the velocity of Bitcoin increases, so will its acceptability and its price. So I think if you want to invest for the future, it is better to invest in Bitcoin.

You meant "better" of course because that's the right comparative for two things. Ethereum may have the smart contract which several projects are latching on to but it's certainly no match for Bitcoin, a project that gave us the blockchain tech. However, both have solid communities that can go all out in their defence even in the face of abysmal performance like what we have with both in transaction fees. For a pick between the two, I will choose Bitcoin any time any day over ETH. Bitcoin is a phoenix. It has passed through severe fire in terms of forks and dumps but it's still surviving it. It will surely rise at any dump.

Bitcoin is mother coin. Eth is alt. In most cases the price of Ether fluctuates depending on the variability of bitcoin. Alts price up because of due to Bitcoin.
