Title: Anyone into CHIA here?
Post by: Bitbtc8 on May 04, 2021, 02:18:30 PM
Anyone even mining chia on here? If there is any please give me some information about hpool, I heard that some are using the pool for chia mining, how trustworthy is this pool? Some said you have to drop your recovery seed to mine on the pool,is there anyway around this? How about creating an empty wallet just for this pool and move assets to your real wallet as you get some coins in them?

I'd wait for official pool If I were you, the solo difficulty is too high and the luck chances is slimmer, also the price of chia have decreased alot many early miners sold to recover their investment on HDD and SSD

can someone help me clarify something? i don't really understand the resource allocation when plotting.
so for example i have:
ryzen 7 5800X 8core / 16threads
2x Corsair mp600 2TB (4TB together)
32 GB ram 3600mhz

what is the optimum settings to plot parallel?
how many plots, how much number of threads used for one plot, RAM max usage MiB

i read someone is ploting 10-14 plots at once...how so?

thank you in advance

With 8cores and 16 threads you will be able to plot more at once than those using 4core CPUs, to get there faster is why high end CPU are best for plotting, some are even using AMD Threadripper and XEON CPUs with 16cores or more

My friend has just bought 4tb hardware and 32gb RAM. I advise him not to do so because it is a waste of time. He can join some IEO or IDO so as for faster return. CHIA is a good coin, no doubt, but it needs time to develop and improve. I think I will wait for the further results. My country is run out of both hardware storage and GPU.

Those who already did few weeks ago have make tons of thousands of dollars, I knew someone with 100 chia coins, my advice is of you really want to get something big from chia mining go in big, budget 100TB and insanely high CPU with many cores, this way you get Chia coins faster

Just 4TB? LMAO he better start praying for some luck, there are people that use 6tb which the approximate time to earn chia is months away but luckily they get chia, this is based on luck

I've been plotting for almost 10 days now, got around 20TB but I don't see good future for miners as rewards are not fixed by devs

Make sure you track or scan your address in chia blockchain, I've read many times about people who've got some chia coins already but not displaying under balance in software

Your plotting will be extremely slow or slugging if your CPU isn't fast enough or has just very few core and threads, use 9th gen i7 CPU or those Xeon silver and gold you will quickly notice the difference, plotting will be faster, also you have to use nvme 2.0 SSD, it makes your plotting faster too

I need more information on Chia plotting with old Xeon e5 2670, anyone using this cpu for plotting? What is the best configuration for this to get the fastest plotting speed? Any idea pls

For now you can say that but this chia isn't a new coin you know, there are many information online about this project and if you are talking about development and updates you will be surprised of what's coming, the project have been in existence since 2018

no discord,no telegram,no whatsapp,no IRC, no other CHAT, no community, after 2 months was added over 2 500 000 TB, very weird= burstcoin community is more bigger, mining look very weird...... im tried it
NO POOL....only few big players here .... in whitepaper no info about how it work ...    DRIVE turning or what?

very weird toxic coin

@Slovakia some times projects with very limited social media accounts can do wonders, just because this project doesn't have telegram group doesn't mean it's a scam project, I know burstcoin very well and how about burstcoin performance today? Lol it's a failed project anyways

Read and read again to understand what the project is all about, also the CEO is a very popular man in crypto space, I suggest using YouTube to watch videos about this project, it's well explained on YouTube, when you don't understand something try learning more about it first

Chia coin is back at 1150$ today, haters gonna hate anyways because when the price was down to 500+ a day ago many said it's over that chia coin wil be worthless in time but I believe the price will be more, my advice is take advantage of everything that comes around in crypto space, for now chia is profitable

Leave your tips to yourself. As Slovakia said: "CHIA is PREMINE scamcoin, a huge farm was prebuild for this project". Chia is a typical premine example and an example of an unfair launch. I guess you’re part of that team of scammers when you defend them like that.

After learn, the budget spent is even more expensive than mining with GPUs.

Keep ranting, those who have the patience still use 1TB of space to mine chia and earn 2chia coins, the proofs are on Reddit and that's 2000$+ just for trying their luck, honestly it doesn't hurt to try instead of hating

Hey guys,

how does this work?

I have got a Ryzen 5950X with 16 Cores (32 Threads) and 32 GB of 3600 MHz CL14 Ram.

Do I need super fast SSDs or just a looot of space?

So is it important to generate a lot of plots in a short time or do I need to store the created plots for a longer time and need more space?

12 TB external HDD vs. 2 TB super fast M.2 SSD? What to choose?

Same cpu as you but 80 GB of ram and 6 ssds plotting about 18 plots a day.  You will need more ram if you want to plot on a lot of SSDs.  you either need ssds and or M.2 and regulat old HD is way too slow.  I have 3 other machine splotting for around 50 plots a day and I'm always searching for large hdds.

Yea that's where chia mining hurts, after getting a bad ass CPU you are going to spend more on HDD for storing plots and continue farming but the coin value makes it worth the hassle

That's solo mining mate, it's based on pure luck not on Devs, I would advice you to keep plotting and farming for now even if you don't get anything, 2 chia can come visiting at any moment, also once official pool is released things wil change

Yes for farming, the HDD will just sit there doing nothing and the plotting should be done on SSD or NVME for faster plots per day, since you have 16cores setup you will be able to get the jobs done faster and same time, I'm still waiting for pool though, I prefer the idea of earning something every day instead

Hello

I am trying chia mining since few days, but I have sometimes the not synced status :
Full Node Status
Status : Not Synced
Connection Status : Connected

So plots are unavailable for staking and are waiting for synchro.

I don't understand, network and internet are ok.
Usually, within few hours, synchro is resumed

Do you know what to do ?

I've heard about this issue of synching on chia wallet and I believe that a solution is available on YouTube, search for a video related to your issue and watch video to fix
