Do we see 5k Eth price by end of the week or month?

A rally to $5k is possible for Ethereum, but to be certain we need Bitcoin to get closer to the $64k ATH it established in May.
September is usually a bearish month for Bitcoin, so I don't expect Ethereum to have a breakout in value, even though ETH is burned every day.
The current high transaction fees in Ethereum are due to the high level of NFT transactions. It's like the DEFI wave in previous months.

yes you are right, before that happens there will likely be a correction. so to get to 5k, it won't be easy for now. and this may take longer, maybe 1 month is not enough to be able to achieve it. this month ethereum will move sideways, although overall conditions are good but the market is already in an overbuy state. and this is why I think the chances are very low to hit 5k any time soon.

I'm more than sure to hit prices around 4K plus by the end of this year all altcoins will experience a pretty significant price drop. We're just waiting for the cues how to move in early September and it's already showing signs. As for the target to support prices above 5K, at least next year it will definitely rise above it.

Very possible to see  actually. How it is pumped recently from $3000 to $3800 it’s very possible to see it at 5k range soon. And this can happen anytime if btc does not fall huge suddenly.

As I can guess id btc stable for atleast a day above $50k then BTC also can create a new ATH.

I don't think we are going to see that big of a run up.  First it all depends on bitcoin pricing, but I think overall the world economy is waiting this pandemic out.  With the run up we already have seen in the last year it will be tough to keep climbing at a steep pace.  Think there will be a lot of sideways trading for the rest of the year.

That's clearly possible because the highest ETH price in May this year was also close to $5K, even though at that time there was no burning program on ETH, so it's definitely very likely if Bitcoin can approach $60K again this month or by the end of the year.

I was wondering what would be the next catalyst for ETH to reach $5K this month. It looks like the burning as a result of the implementation of EIP-1559 is enough but I still don't see why people are too optimistic about it.

If bitcoin surpass the $50.5k price level, than it would be easier for ethereum to break that within one or two weeks. On the other hand, it's possible for eth to break that 5k milestone without any kind of heavy resistance if market stay stable like current one in this month or take bullish rally. But i'm still positive about crossing the 5k level by the end of this month as September just started. Also panic users could create unstability as many of them are expecting September to be a small bearish month.  ;D

I don't think Ethereum will wait for Bitcoins to reach $65K price.
Ethereum has the potentiality to surpass 5k. Till now bitcoins price is oscillating between 46K-50K. But already, ETH is near around in its previous ATH. I think if we won't see any further major bitcoin correction within the next couple of months then Ethereum will make a new ATH very soon, most probably this month. Now I'm seeing very fantastic move in Ethereum market, maybe will touch 4K tonight.

While there is some truth to be said that you can use technical analysis on crypto and it has proven true in the past it is still highly volatile and cannot be relied upon to really predict where a price is going. 5k by the end of the month is possible but first, we would need to break through the all-time high of $4,196.63 and then have enough time to likely come back to retest support and consolidate a bit before pushing up through 5k.  With that being such a psychological level I would expect it to take some time to break through and hold over 5k.  Honestly, I would think it's more likely to break through and stay above it by the end of November.  If we rocket over 5k before the end of Sept I doubt it stays there as such a quick parabolic move will likely result in sharper pullback.

$5k level is very possible to happen in eth, unlike other speculated high prices.
The gas fees are still high, and yet, the eth's value keeps on improving.
It means, the trust of crypto users are really there and maybe, the hope of getting the results from the london hard fork is high.

Well, I really hope to see the price of ethereum $5k or even more in this month. Maybe we can hope for it together and see what will happen by the end of this month. Ethereum is such a hype topic right now and I am so optimistic that the price will increase.

I understand that ETH is on a different trajectory since the activation of the transaction fee mechanism. But it is Bitcoin and the domain BTC.D that determines the market. Currently, Domain BTC. D is falling deeply, so it will probably bounce back with Bitcoin's rise.

I think we will see 5k$ eth price at the end of the month. After a burning there is no other big news that being publish about eth, maybe the eth price is now almost 4k$ because the Bitcoin is also bullish it is maybe the affect of the rising of Bitcoin price because if Bitcoin rise altcoin always follow.

Technically, yes it is always possible for ETH to reach the $5,000 mark even no need to wait for the end of the month. However, even how good or professional the technical analysis is, no one can predict it.

It's better not to expect it to avoid disappointment at the end. Just go with the flow with the current trend, if planning on buying then go ahead, if planning on selling then test your patience until you reach your target.

The burn is as a result of the price increase, since the start of the burn ETH has taken a new wave of price changes. so there is every reason for the price to get $5k before the months of September runs out. let watch and see!

I will choose to buy because I know the next months Bitcoin and altcoins will increase in price. Usually the market will be active in the winter and gradually decrease in the summer. bitcoin is struggling to at least stays in 50,000 while the ATH is 64,000$ and ethereum  made 4,300$ ATH so with that comparison this cannot be what it seems in the graph .

Maybe you missed the important ETH changes and updates last time, and it really fueled ETH growth. From a personal perspective, I also think that it will be pumped again soon, when I see new platforms continuously creating ATH, I am feeling great expectations for the potential of ETH in the near future.

That is exactly the point here , we are not certain for specification but one thing we are sure of and that ETH will go higher when time comes.

You know there are many people who have speculating about $10k possibility and know i get the scheme behind all the hype as it was said to be the Ethburn, so with the process we can say the price is uncontrollable as getting to $5k is sure.

I would say that it is more than likely, we are already at near 4k levels right now and expecting it to go down would be weird, I mean when it is going so great right now why would we want to consider the going down part right now. I am not saying that it won't go down, but if we all kept considering that potential constantly then we wouldn't be able to keep buying because we would be afraid of it and then the price wouldn't be here.

The only reason why crypto currencies go up is the fact that people who see it go high still keep on buying, bitcoin was 10k last year but managed to hit 64k, if people said "this looks too much we should be careful" at 20k then we would not be able to see 60k. Once again this doesn't mean it won't go down but if keep calculating that then we wouldn't be able to reach to levels we want to reach and that would be a problem.

$10k might be possible but it might happen early next year but for ethereum to reach $5k i think this price is very attainable within this month. With its current price at $3, 873 as of this writing,  i know it has more chances to grow more as long as no major price corrections will suddenly appear.

We all have high hopes for bitcoin actually but i think this time, ethereum might reach first its new ATH because bitcoin is still struggling in its current price at $50,090.

it is almost 1 week when you post this on thread so seeing 5k$ eth price by end of the week is not gonna happen because eth price is still 3,866 at this moment, so I think we can see eth price reach up to 5k$ at the end of September.

It is looking amazing, the new increase allowed it to go to a point it hasn't been in a while because it doesn't drop as much as others do. I mean that is what bitcoin did on the 2018 fall, many went down as high as 90%+ while bitcoin was mostly just 60-70% most of the time and whatever else was very quick to recover as well.

So, long story short we are in a situation where we really need to realize ETH may soon become the biggest currency there is, I always said that it will become high and it already did and I am saying that it will become higher as well. What people do not realize is that when crypto is not as hyped as right now, there is no need for ETH since people do not use it. However when there is a hype on crypto, people not only invest into ETH, but they also use it, which means there is more and more buying going on making it very valuable.

The hype of NFTs and gaming today makes ETH attractive to investors. If it goes $5K this month, it wouldn't be surprising because just 2 days ago it touches once again to $4K. But it might not last long because price levels are just too high already.

If for the end of the year it is still possible Bitcoin $60K and Ethereum $5K but at the end of the month I see no sign that leads to that price. Unless there is something that can push up the price of Bitcoin as happened some time ago.  ;)

I believe that the presence of the London hard fork has caused ethereum to expand fast at the present, with ETH already trading at $3.9K at the start of the month, and ETH also having a strong possibility of reaching $5K by the end of the month, as ETH burning continues, although with decreased ETH supply. In the future, the market will cause the price of ethereum to rise again.

ETH is now in momentum and probably will breach a new ATH anytime soon despite the high gas fees that everyone is concerned.

Reaching $5,000 is possible even by mid of month if the momentum will stay. But don't expect that and just limit your expectation. Still good to speculate the closest possible thing to happen for us not to get too carried away.

Subsequently i tried to make some transaction in ETH network but it seems to get more higher instead getting low. i have seen many project bridging to BSC looking like it's the only solution to the problem right now.

gas will not change the ether price. It is already valuable, the price is warmed up by the fact that it constantly burns in large quantities.

This week Ethereum has increased 23.90% but is still under $4K. Bitcoin has crossed the $50K price or is already at $51K and is almost heading towards $52K. Data-wise, Ethereum is not keeping up with the effects of Bitcoin's rising price and I'm not sure Ethereum will hit $5K later this month but I'm aiming for $5K by the end of the year.

Don't get me wrong ethereum is doing awesome but I agree with you, I think 5k this month could be a bit of an issue. Not because eth can't go up that much, that is like what just 25% increase in ethereum? It can do that very easily, I am not doubting it in any other situation. However this new 25% that is required includes ATH and all the other prices until 5k and there will definitely be a lot of people who will sell and get out when price reaches those points.

This is why I believe that we should not be really hoping for something so huge. I believe that we will be trying for it, and when we get closer to it than the price may have some hardship and fail, but eventually it will break over 5k, those trying and hardship periods will certainly be September and maybe even some of October, I feel like 5k is possible late October or early November.

I'd say it's possible but a bit less likely given the recent dump.

ETH2.0 is likely going to be absolutely huge and you are getting rewarded quite handsomely for an established coin/token.

All the other PoS coins may have great yields in theory but in reality their value depreciates over the long run due to little adoption. ETH is going to be bought up just because of the great yield that it offers as well as the established infrastructure.

I think $5 is not easy during this current scenario  because most of the coins drop approx 10 -15 % from the Past.

that means it will not be achieved for this month. there is little chance that bitcoin can fix a market that just dumped quite a bit yesterday. Of course, everything requires stabilizing the market first before making any further increases.

It's too hard to tell mate, because ethereum right now is gradually losing strength since the uptrend end up at the current all time high value ($4k). Very possible, Ethereum is showing a good trend in the last few weeks, when this topic was created by the OP, Ethereum is at $3,836.87, and today (when this post I made) Ethereum is at $ 3,354.99, this number show Ethereum is experiencing a decline of up to a few percent. Although Ethereum is experiencing a slight correction, Ethereum chances of hitting the 5k mark could still be a few months later.

I hope the market won't embarrass you but that is something it looks like now. ETH just about to drop together with Bitcoin. I'm not saying you have to sell it now, maybe it recovers next month as you wish. However, the chances are 50/50, you'll never know what will happen next month. Maybe that 20 days left is enough time for the market to recover but still, it was uncertain.

According to your theory and most judgments here, eth's position can change as long as the market becomes a piece for a missing corner of eth when fuel eth 2.0 is being pumped gradually and coming to a decision point, just need the market to press the start button and it will be full of tools and this situation will be very fast if the market is green like a few months ago. But we're also not in a sprint against time and the market, a stretch of eth's distance from the target can be added gradually, rather than draining eth in a short time.

Not expecting by Sept month end for ETH to be 5k. ETH has fallen a bit after btc when down below 50k. I would expect may be in Oct we could see ETH inching towards that 5000$ mark and may even cross it. But if it happens in Sept itself than more than happy to see what does October hold.

For the end of the week based on current prices means that it is impossible because it has passed since this topic you created because the price of Bitcoin fell so Ethereum and other Altcoins also decreased by a large percentage. Anything can happen in a matter of days, one of the reasons for the decline a few days ago was because of the FUD from the SEC, overall FUD will never be able to make the price of Ethereum fall at its lowest price. Even though Ethereum is currently priced at $3,467, but the figure is still very good if we compare it with the previous period. Well there are still days, today is already 10th so the remaining days could do something nasty to benefit ETH remember the market is being driven by news and information.

The reality is that ETH 2.0 itself could bring green to market all by itself. I mean it is such a huge deal that will change the crypto world that I do not think we could have anything that is remotely close to that in impact. Which is why if people see it as a positive which many do (except miners) then we are going to see crypto markets skyrocketing, and that is what matters the most.

I personally do not believe that 2.0 will be anytime this year, it will probably be next year or even maybe 2023 as well, we all know development on ETH is always postponing stuff, even the simplest London fork took so many months of constantly postponing to finally happen. Which means that something that is called "late 2021, early 2022" could be as late as "late 2022, early 2023" in the ETH development world. So, if ETH reaches to 5k this month, it will not be because of 2.0 at all.

It is getting closer to 4k as well if you check the price and that means 5k is not a pipe dream neither. The current price of bitcoin is below $60k after hitting its ATH, I think this would shake the market a bit.

Yes just like how Bitcoin being denied to break 70k Ethereum is also being denied to break 5000$ finally so this means one thing and we need to wait for another try if Bitcoin and ethereum can take another ATH before the November month ends so there will be another high expectation in December.

Since this is an old question lets posit if we can see 6k by end of month here. To answer that question, its not likely we get to 6k end of month but I think 5k is likely to obtain again and make support for the end of the run.

We already see ethereum can reach $4,800 before, so I guess ethereum can reach $5k soon, especially if the market can go up. But I am not sure if the price can hit $6k this year as $5k is not yet reached. If ethereum can hit $5k this month or next month, ethereum can have a chance to go to $6k in the next month or the beginning of the following year. The key is how bitcoin will move because when bitcoin can have a good move, the altcoin will follow it. But who knows, with the down of bitcoin price can give the altcoins to have the next season so that can make ethereum to increase higher.

Yes, we almost hit the 5k target this month but failed as bitcoin started to go down and so with other alts. Anyway, the 5k target is very achievable as it only needs a lil push to reach that price. Maybe, if we see finally that gas fees are reducing, then, people will be happy and small traders will start using it again. Because right now, a lot are migrating to other networks like BSC or SOL for cheaper fees. And I fully understand that as I've been using BSC these days as well. I can't afford to pay high fees in eth.

I think generally the world economy is enduring this pandemic. With the run up we as of now have found somewhat recently it will be difficult to continue to move at a lofty speed. We're simply hanging tight for the signals how to move toward the beginning of September and it's as of now giving indications.

Perhaps we can expect it together and witness what will before the current month's over. Ethereum is such a promotion subject this moment and I am hopeful to the point that the cost will increment. For me, what I am looking forward is the reduction of gas fees under eth network. When are we going to finally see cheaper fees? Because with this bottleneck, many new networks are addressing this long running problem of eth, and they are now doing good in terms of adoption like BSC, SOL or DOT. Though we know ETH dev team is working but it has been so long that we are requesting the reduction of these gas fees. So this 5k is very possible to happen, maybe when eth team decide to finally resolve this gas fee problem.

At the moment, as you wrote, Ethereum is still in the up trend, but I don't know if that will change in a moment. I think a lot depends on how the fork is going to be successful, which should be at the beginning of next year. If all goes well, $6,000 will be easily achieved. However, if problems do arise, for sure a lot of people will lose trust in Ethereum and transfer their funds to BNB and ADA.

Mostly the growth pattern of bitcoin is followed by ethereum. Rarely growth of bitcoin gets interrupted, but ethereum continues its bullish move. So, if there is strong support for bitcoin to be bullish and make new ATH, surely ethereum will also cross $5000 and make new ATH. There are people who are very strong believers of bitcoin to reach $100k this year, so if that happens ethereum will have promised $5k.

5K price of Ethereum is certainly possible by the end of 2021. I expect that Bitcoin will close 2021 with price of around 80K and if it happens then we will see Ethereum beyond 6K and its worth is much more because it it is one of the Top crypto currency with strong use case and massively used for creating new projects in all sector of crypto  space and its new version 2.0 will be launched soon which will fix many issue of its network including scaling.

5k is very possible for the end of this year but i don't think the price can go higher than that. The reason why i saying like that because i think ethereum need to solve the "GAS FEE" problem. Over a million Ethereum tokens have been burned since the big upgrade, but transaction costs are still a pain.

This can only happen in 2 ways.

One, the network scales, which is slowly happening already, and 2.0 will clear that. That is just all about a waiting game.

Two, the network loses popularity and users,,, which is not happening despite some moving to BSC and others, they never abandon Ethereum as it still has the best projects (NFT or Defi even).

In other words, we have nothing to do but be patient :)

Or he needs to change the question to end of year, right? EOY is fast approaching and in a month of December by history is always bullish most likely in bull season, so be prepared for this one to explode in the coming weeks. I don't think $5k is hard to achieve this year, breaking this level is a good indication for an upward trend.

ETH almost hit $5k at this end of the month, but it could still rise in the next month because ETH has much time to increase step by step. I wonder what price ETH will be at the end of the year, but I hope that could pass $5k and even higher. Hopefully, that will not just happen to ETH, but it also happens to bitcoin, increasing and hitting more than $70k. You better prepare your ETH and set your target price to sell.

Of course it will there’s a lot of factors that can push eth over the 5K mark, such as burning, proof of stake, etc. If isn't happen then we will see that price in early 2022.  But it will get there, slow steady rise is fine with me.

Currently the price of ETH is at $4.7k, so that makes me very sure if the upward trend in bitcoin prices will continue then we will also see the price of ETH touch the price of $5k this month, there is no doubt about ETH because ethereum is a coin that has strong fundamentals and also has a very large trading volume in the market after bitcoin.

I agree that it looks like Ethereum aim to achieve ATH by the end of 2021. With current unstability on the market and bouncing price of every cryptocurrency, its not likely that $5k can be reached. The only hope is that December historically was a good month for cryptocurrency and it has just started. Lets wait for the middle of December and see if it copies December 2020, as this and last year November were rather identical.

I've heard that Ethereum plans to reduce transaction fees (again, another attempt...). If there would be at least slight achievement in this direction, I think we would be very much close to $5k.
