They can not crack down Bitcoin because it is a pioneer or at least the first successful cryptocurrency on Earth.

We can believe or disbelieve it but with the Lindy effect (see in the article), personally Bitcoin has gone a far journey enough to be called as a safe asset.

After more than 10 years, it is now much safer in terms of investment, than it was more than 5 years ago. Now, we have Bitcoin Futures, Bitcoin ETFs, institutional investment, etc. Institutes not only invest but also involve more in development of blockchain industry that is very cool.

That's the cool stuff. "These are not mere Tulips", which very few understood in its beginning days. Even around the year 2017, bitcoin was much associated with the Tulip and Internet bubble. People never believed in the technology. Later on the progress of bitcoin took pace when it got multiple usage from limitations. This means earlier it is much into darknet and gambling. Slowly it gained importance as an investment/trading asset.

Nothing has grown same as bitcoin within the time frame of 10 years. Once governments were to adopt the blockchain technology, but not the bitcoin. Now those governments are with plans of adopting and regulating the usage of cryptocurrencies.

People who ignored in the past now realise missing the opportunity, and the one who ignore now will experience the same after years.

The funny thing is, all of my mates who used to ignore and make fun of Bitcoin whenever I mention it back then, is now holding their own bitcoins, if they only believed in what I was saying, they could have easily gained profit from a 4-year investment.

No one will really ignore Bitcoin as Bitcoin continues to rise not only value-wise but through popularity as well.

Not sure about him already being a Bitcoiner, but he was open-minded and was openly defending Bitcoin in a past conversation he had with Peter Schiff like a year ago. That and the fact that he already had Andreas Antonopoulos and Jack Dorsey and in the past, this is no surprise.

I have heard of Rogan investing in Bitcoin before in an interview with Patrick David's podcast. The podcast always talks about world events, the economy, and investment which Joe Rogan sometimes barges in. They sometimes talk about NFTs.

But it is true Bitcoin can never be ignored now. If you look at the value of fiat today, it can collapse at any moment. British Pound (GBP) plunges recently more than 1%. If anyone wants to stay rich they have to go Bitcoin.

Yeah, I think Joe Rogan is a bitcoiner and he has talked about it in the past in his podcast. And he even guest some bitcoiners too.

And i believed that he really understands how the protocol works and now him accepting it as payment? Not surprised, but he could set the trend for podcast industries and personalities to go and accept BTC.

So this news is based on several people trying to be funny in one of the podcasts alluding that Joe allegedly made some deal that was paid for in Bitcoin? I don't know, it seems to me that this is just a good publicity trick that results in just such discussions and articles that will appear in all crypto-related media.


I know that business people generally do not care how the customer pays, it is important to make a profit, but I also know that it is a real rarity to find someone who accepts Bitcoin directly without the mediation of payment processors. Not ignoring something doesn't necessarily mean that someone really accepts it.

Tulips were plants, not a technological breakthrough that has opened new opportunities and pathways for humanity to move postively forward into the future. But Tulips are beautiful. 8)

Bitcoin mania is totally different than Tulip mania or Dotcom mania. People can grow and harvest Tulip bulbs or create more and more Dotcom companies. However, they can not create more Bitcoin than 21M was created by satoshi nakamoto.

Do people actually get the forks from time to time and sell them for Bitcoin?

I'm thinking that maybe it would be a bit risky since I reckon you'll need to put your private key to access them.

They've tried their best by spreading countless lies about it but the fact will always win as the bitcoins continue to soar high, the old mainstream media who were against it are now talking positively about it nowadays. They cannot continue what they have been doing and just decided to change courses and so as the big companies and the banks that was totally against it back then. They need to adopt it to their companies or esle their fate will be in jeopardy.

As long as their interest don't align with bitcoin, they will continue with all the lies, suppression and defamation of the market because they want to make sure that their power won't be undermined by something that was believed to be useless when it was still an upstart. Probably the best thing to do is for us to ignore all of this lies and move on, they won't have any power over us. Ignoring bitcoin is close to ignoring someone who's giving you money with no strings attached.

Price of fork is significantly lower than Bitcoin.

This. When you want to claim a fork, you have to expose your Bitcoin private key. It is risky somewhat and in bad case, you can lose your Bitcoin. Don't want to claim forks, don't know how to do this, and at the end, losing your Bitcoin. It sucks!

Actually a lot of people can continue to ignore BTC.  The same way they can continue to ignore the spread of any tech into anything.
30+ years ago there were many people who would not use debit or credit cards and businesses who would not take them
20+ years ago there were people / businesses that ignored the growth of the internet
10+ years ago there were people / businesses that ignored social media as a way of contacting clients & each other.
etc.

There are also people & businesses out there today who don't take CC don't have a website or email or a facebook page.
Some of them are doing quite wall.

If we are here, we are probably BTC enthusiasts and we see things a certain way. I know I do.
And for the most part, yeah not taking / using BTC is going to be a bad thing for a business more and more as time goes on.
But, when talking in absolutes keep in mind the fringe cases.

Why am I saying this? Mostly because while doing work for a client yesterday we were talking about the fact that BTC was hitting another ATH.
He only takes checks. No cash / credit / BTC or anything else. He is tech savvy but for simplicity only takes payment one way.
As he put it, any other form of payment takes more accounting and time and it's not worth the incremental increase in business, since he is strictly B2B.

We as a group tend to go out and convert people. Some people don't want to be converted and we have to accept that and move on. And not discard their views or the way they do things since it works for them. Fighting that will not look good for us a as group.

Joe Rogan is a pretty cool guy,but I kinda lost interest for his podcast.Currently,most of his guests aren't that interesting to me.
There's a possibility that he was joking about getting paid in BTC.He was a standup comedian after all.
I know about another former standup comedian having Bitcoins and trading crypto-Chris D'elia. ;D

In first glance they will ignore this but once they see that many people earning huge money from it for sure many people will start to listen on what you are saying since the only thing what can possibly can the attention of the people is the money and for sure many want to gain money instanly.

And good thing that the most successful Podcaster is considering that knowing how big the influence he is and for sure he can convince other people to try and join on this industry.

The secret truth is they don't want to miss the Bitcoin train that has already started a long journey and discovered a new ATH after a few days. Before those who were against Bitcoin and lately entering Bitcoin I don't this they are interested in Bitcoin protocol actually. They didn't imagine that Bitcoin could reach in current position.

Anyway, it's good when a well-known face enters Bitcoin. No matter why they are in, the matter is they are adapting Bitcoin somehow. So still it's positive for the Bitcoin community.

Bitcoins since 2009 have died many deaths and at the same time have always emerged even stronger. Finally with the people accepting it more and the government using it as a tool to not only earn more taxes but also incorporate something new in the age old financial system is making the prices sky rocket. Just now people who fought against bitcoins for long are selling their gold and investing in Bitcoins, everyone knows what the hype is about and is not missing the train for sure and therefore I do believe what you said is right. If someone does have some extra wealth that they could use for the future then they should definately invest it into bitcoins, the profits would be incredible and undeniably high.

I don't think anybody is "ignoring" Bitcoin any more. Like today if you mention Bitcoin to anybody in real life, they'll definitely stand up and take notice. At least till the bull run continues. After several years in existence, people are now truly understanding btc whole concept and its importance, before, btc was just another Internet scam but the perception has been eras from many people's mind with continuous persistent, btc becomes the top coin that ever exist,

For those who had ignored bitcoin back in the past then you would really be ending up on regretting on missing out on investing on it but if

Well, there are people that are still against bitcoin for various reasons, one of them being their control challenged.
In any case, the more exposure bitcoin gets the more and more new people to start to accept it.
I've seen people talking about bitcoin in their daily life and getting the group to start using bitcoin.

reality make people realize, and not only one slap can make you feel that thing os awesome, like three or four time slap on face make them awake with that potential. and this coin never make people disappoint except for careless people. the funny, people still make laugh when relate with bitcoin and underestimate what people do.

I seriously honestly doubt Rogan knows how the protocol works and he suddenly got into it because he found the time to research the tech. He's really well off and accepting payment of 100k in BTC could just be a curious endeavor of his, in the vein of 'eh, fuck it, let's see where this goes'. But still, that little comment will not make a serious impact on his listeners.

One of those possible reasons is this, seeing people when the price that keeps rising they are thinking that it's not too late to invest and wait too and I think that's a wise decision as well. No one will refuse when we talk profit, every one of us needs it, and every one of us looking for an extra profit that could possibly we achieve upon investing in bitcoin. However, even others are waiting for that anticipated moment of bitcoin will become a $100k price in the market.

So there's no one can continue to ignore bitcoin and it could others open their heart and big eyes into bitcoin.

As bitcoin continues to be more bullish, we will be able to read more positive news that could attract more people to adopt through investing. This is no the first time for us to hear from a popular personality saying positive comments about bitcoin, so the sentiment is now bullish because of the influence of these people.

Not really. The exact opposite happens. Haven't you notice whenever bitcoin is bullish, we hear more "negative" news? I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing about how this guy lost 7,500 BTC back in 2013 because he threw away his HDD and then people saying "why can't he just contact bitcoin support and ask them to recover it" (i legit read things like this). We will be hearing about past scams a lot and how its very risky to invest in bitcoin. News portals will be using click bait titles to increase traffic to their website. They know that people are going to click it because they invested in crypto currencies. FUDs starts to spread a lot during bull run.

true, although not many but they have started to be able to accept bitcoin and reduce their negative stigma to bitcoin, even many people have entered bitcoin trading because of their interest in bitcoin.

I see that there are more and more people and companies that see obvious advantages of Bitcoin and crypto in general and start adopting it. It is a way to save and multiply your money. When I first accepted Bitcoin, when I mentioned it to my friends or family, they thought it was a scam and didn't believe what I said was how great Bitcoin is. Following your logic, people who were buying tulip bulbs a couple of centuries ago were not driven by FOMO, but instead, they merely found physical aspects of tulips useful, and after that, they recognized tulips' value and importance for the prosperity of society. It starts to sound like a bargain when you understand how tulip bulbs work. I have a hunch that the vast majority of bitcoin investors don't understand how bitcoin works and don't care why it works. The only thing they probably know is that there is definitely something in bitcoin that allows it to constantly grow in terms of dollars. What then makes them invest? I think it's envy. They are merely jealous of people making money off bitcoin. They can't ignore that fact, and therefore they can't ignore bitcoin. They invest in it not because they want to be better off holding bitcoin but rather they don't want to be worse off not holding it.

They can start to mention Bitcoin and accept it when it's given to them, but it might not mean that they actually believe in it. It can be done for hype because it's not that hard to appear pro-Bitcoin during one show, and then get lots of attention from the media that otherwise would not have been there. Also, I believe we're still living in a bubble and forgetting that the vast majority of humanity is successfully ignoring Bitcoin. The number of Bitcoin users is estimated to be around 76 million, which is only around 1% of the total population. So no matter how much hype is out there, it actually very clearly means that we're still in the very early stages of adoption.

Bitcoin is the most optimistic crypto in the market wherein reason it's still number one and no one can take over in it even there are some crypto that has higher market cap such ethereum. So its definitely a mistake such people ignoring bitcoin because it is like they don't want good future. Lol it's been years actually that bitcoin keep making good improvements despite of some bad news, but alot of people still ignoring it because of their doubts..

My mentor who introduced me to this forum thought me really well. When I joined this forum 2017, some of the airdrops and bounties that I participated in I convert to Bitcoin even till date which was really good because after the project some of this coins become dump and I have never regretted taken the step.

I absolutely agree! As of this time, it’s too hard to ignore Bitcoin now. No matter if we see uptrend, downtrend or just treading water, Bitcoin just can’t be stopped from being recognized, adopted, embraced, legalized and used around the world. very easy to hit $70k in the sort term, bitcoin's correction isn't that deep either.  Seeing the ban on bitcoin in China, it is indeed difficult to leave bitcoin if we have seen the productivity and great opportunity in bitcoin, people will still want to own bitcoin even though it is prohibited.

Lolz, not sure about others but for me bitcoin is whole new era these days and it can not be ignored by myself. I have seen big ups and downs in the crypto but bitcoin, hell man bitcoin has done fantastic work by showing its value. I still believe that bitcoin has not reached its real value. Its really far away. Just imagine the demand right now and the way its minting is getting done. We have harvested more than 18 millions coins and only 3 millions are left over. The fresh supply is less than 10-15% which gives it more and more importance day by day. More institutional investors are jumping and thus they will drain the supply very quickly. Its both competitive and astounding market situation right now which is what driving the boat at highest nods. Just loving the way bitcoin is surfing upwards. Im sure many of new investors have seen this journey too. So whether its me or the old players or the new comers no one is gonna dare to ignore bitcoin now.

Thanks for sharing this.  I am really surprised that Joe Rogan had once called bitcoin a ponzi scheme.  I have heard Joe talk about bitcoin before, and have seen him host bitcoin experts like Andreas, but he never mentioned that the thought it was a ponzi during those episodes, as far as I know of anyhow.  Changing your mind once doing more homework and realizing certain things is certainly a sign of intelligence.  Joe getting on board is big for bitcoin.

bitcoin is growing rapidly and attracting the attention of many people. investing in bitcoin is an advantage if we can store it well. many people are starting to invest in bitcoin with their own capital, that's good because it indicates bitcoin is increasingly being known and liked by many people. people who used to ignore bitcoin are now starting to enter and take advantage of bitcoin because bitcoin can provide benefits if we can manage and use it well.

Not all is fully aware of its existence on which its normal that we arent still on global scale adoption as of this moment but at least after a decade of its

No one can ignore Bitcoin, yeah, but not everyine can also accept Bitcoin. As what Bitcoin gives  some certain people still do ignore the positive sides and only consider about the negative.

For me personally, Bitcoin really changes many things. Butcoin really gives very worthy things, not only to my life but also to many people.

In my experience, anyone who has taken the time to learn the technical beauty of bitcoin has immediately fallen in love with it.

When you understand what it's made of, and what it aims to do, it's almost impossible to not be in love with this network. I am hoping that as time goes on, we avoid any conflicts involving protocol changes. While this problem is inevitable, I hope all changes aim to keep bitcoin as secure and integral as it has been.

Most of us did in the past but those are the time that we really regret , now we keep telling people around us to never made the same mistakes as we did and enter as early as possible , because time is running and the value is continuously increasing , they might regret also the chance if deny these days.

If you believe in the better future of bitcoin, you cannot ignore saving money to invest in bitcoin, you don't need to borrow to invest, just simply do a simple strategy of investing, little by little but consistent enough investing in bitcoin. These influential people as they invest, they will also try to announce it to the public so their followers will be curious, once people are curious, that will start of the interest to invest.

Imagine in the future if more and more people are investing in bitcoin, it will only create more demand and you know what's going to happen, the price will skyrocket like we haven't witness before.

I would say the news posted by OP is a positive development from Bitcoin perspective but still Bitcoin is far away from adoption as mainstream payment method. Till date its mostly seen as an asset of investment. BTC no doubt has made huge progress in 10 years time, but I want to see it in main corridors of payment method. Govt regulations are too tight on decentralized BTC, most of news coming regarding btc adoption are on centralized BTC.

Yeah same thing happened to me when i got into bitcoin in 2017 some of my friends and family did not believe in bitcoin and they did not take it seriously but when it hit the 60k mark many of them started to get interested but it was a bit too late because to make really good profit now you have to hold a big amount and its not easy especially in my country since its not legal thats why we need goverments to make the adoption easier because in my experience it makes online payment much easier.

In the near future, everyone will definitely not continue to ignore Bitcoin, even now in the neighborhood where I live people start talking about Bitcoin and asking basic questions about Bitcoin. Like asking what is Bitcoin, how to get it, how Bitcoin can maintain the value of wealth and even multiply it.

Social media become a medium to such information spread across the globe and the hype that it showed tends to gain more market attraction and interest to the community. Perhaps, we can't imagine seeing Bitcoin at this time. Many experts and known names come and speculated to have a fortune and I believe that was to come.

Bitcoin is not just a tulip, it remind me of the past history which now seem unimpressive (tulips). I never even thought bitcoin could be equated with a tulip because we know what bitcoin does and how it is used as a currency. Increased adoption and growth in demand will maintain its consistency as something useful for long-term use either as a currency or as a high-value asset.

The pandemic and stock market crash at the time has increased investor interest in bitcoin investment which has led more institutional investor like Elon Musk and others to try to increase their fortunes in bitcoin. Other than that, I can only convince myself that bitcoin is an asset that has changed the financial problem of any holder during the pandemic to improve their financial situation ever since. They got a decent result now.

Holding bitcoin has really been the best investment for me till date. Although I had to sell some of it few months ago but I am still happy to be around holding the left over.
Over time, I will still be able to accumulate more. The fact that we are still early into bitcoin gives us the edge of accumulating more while we can.

The fact that previous persons who used to mock BTC are now changing their stance tells something about it. I think Joe Rogan is a Bitcoiner but he has been trying not to enter a public debate about Bitcoin and Fiat, that sort of person should probably be controlling alot of Bitcoin and may even be an hodler but what ever joe Rogan is, I think right now those who weren't publicly opening up to being a Bitcoiner has now trusted their believes about Bitcoin should be clear to an open minded person and they won't sound like a lunatic/psycho when they claim to own or want payments in bitcoin like Joe Rogan is.

Same here, when bitcoin was introduced to me by a fellow officemate. I introduced it also to my close friends for us to invest and gain together, sadly the I'm the only who took the effort to ride the rocky road of bitcoin few years ago, and now just recently this year they're just starting their own bitcoin journey becasue they now believed it due to being popular in any platforms.

Yes, they are afraid believing that it will be a threat for their investments. When in fact, volatility will instead lead them to a more huge profit if they chose to hold rather than panic selling once the market dumps. And when it comes for decentralization, its a good thing than investors remain anonymous all the time so they can gain financial freedom without the interruption of the government, and they will not be obliged to pay taxes knowing its definitely a big amount that will be deducted from their profits.

That they need to change their minds and are able to hear and see the benefits of crypto in today's life. We have to let go of those things that don't help us but rather to adopt the new opportunities that could really help us if we can manage this. I agree on your point that people ignore bitcoin because its too expensive to buy, not knowing that we can still buy bitcoin even just a portion of it. Little by little, once we are making profits already, then we will be capable of buying the whole coin already in time.

However, if you tend to invest in bitcoin because you already know how valuable it is compared to fiat, then that's the time that you'll think bitcoin is irresistible and should always be taken advantage before its too late. when you say HOLDING then there is no other strategy on that but Buy and keep it in your hands, it is up to you if how long your plan in holding , either months or years .

Bitcoin have come to stay and nobody can ignore it forever, sooner or later everyone will just have to accept it when I started cryptocurrency all my friends insulted me they told me different things even my parents told me I was just wasting my time but currently all my friends are having bitcoin and other coins in their wallet and the funniest part is that my parents are also holding bitcoin currently.

Apparently, for the learned individuals and technologically enabled once, I share the same feeling as the topic of the thread but if we are to keep those aside, I feel bitcoin comes with a little limitation and as such some persons can't jump on the fun train even if they would have wished or wanted to. People who are blind falls among those in this category of possibly ignoring bitcoin. Bitcoin comes with a private key policy which should be kept a secret and its operated on a gadget with a screen which is of virtually no value to the blind (literally).
Another people that falls into this category are those that are behind in technological advancement and as such, cannot afford this gadgets or have no local network that spreads to there locality. That too is another problem!

Curiosity and the popularity of Bitcoin make them come and embrace this technology. They might be setting Bitcoin aside but someday, this will be their center of attraction, and can't even hold themselves to adopt and use it. There will be a perfect time for crypto, it is just for now that the adoption and acceptance of the major establishments are not quite known to everyone. But once it happens that they are accepting this, we can expect a massive growth of users at that time.

On one side, bitcoin is growing tremendously but on the other, there is still a population of people that has no idea about what it is and how it can be used.

Volatility is never a guarantee for profits per se. If you are someone trading volatility, that is a whole different story from someone who believes in a volatile asset increasing in price constantly over time while being volatile.

Bitcoin will continue to be accepted by people on earth. If anyone banned or laughed at Bitcoin then at this time they would definitely hold bitcoin to trade or to invest.
Bitcoin will not be stopped by anyone because bitcoin was created as good as possible so that Bitcoin cannot be controlled by anyone even though the government has banned it. As long as the earth is still safe or there is no big enough disaster that makes the internet network on earth die, then Bitcoin will continue to be used.

Aside from the price of bitcoin for me the most attracting part in cryptocurrency is it's ability to make a knowledgeable man turn into a rich man by investing in it, and of course it would not going to happen if people would not recognize the value of bitcoin. It takes many years before bitcoin become this worthy cryptocurrency and it takes years before many people decide to adopt this digital finance and now it happening already, bitcoin price hike continue because people already see the true worth of this platform. It's good to know that many have had see the true value of bitcoin and I believe that no one can continue ignore bitcoin.

That’s true! Even if someone is not trading or investing in bitcoin, once in a while, they check news about bitcoin to see where it has reached and whether they have a chance of trying their hands at it. People will keep accepting it and making use of it.

I can't jump into conclusion but I will like to say that no one will continue ignoring Bitcoin, so far you are educated and understand how technology goes or be seen news about Bitcoin all over world, with that popularity of Bitcoin make it even more attractive, in fact even if illiterate heard about the price of Bitcoin in 2012 and hear the current price their are going to be a probability that he or she will accept it. And with my little experience their are a lot of people accepting it everyday.

no one can continue to ignore bitcoin where the development of bitcoin itself is even growing rapidly at this time. people are starting to realize that and we don't know what will happen next, but I hope that bitcoin will continue to grow and the prospects will be good too. for people who have ignored bitcoin, it's okay, everyone has their own choice to accept or ignore bitcoin. so far as long as we can manage it well and can control our emotions well then we will also get the benefit from it.

for now maybe the miners have not been able to ignore bitcoin where bitcoin investment is long term but for now we continue to be made by bitcoin prices which this feeling is still unstable so it also makes us feel like we will consider a longer time in the world crypto where until now there has been no stable price change regarding bitcoin, we hope that this unstable price is only short-lived and can recover as it did a few years before
