Thanks for sharing this.  I am really surprised that Joe Rogan had once called bitcoin a ponzi scheme.  I have heard Joe talk about bitcoin before, and have seen him host bitcoin experts like Andreas, but he never mentioned that the thought it was a ponzi during those episodes, as far as I know of anyhow.  Changing your mind once doing more homework and realizing certain things is certainly a sign of intelligence.  Joe getting on board is big for bitcoin.

He is not wrong. Bitcoin WAS a Ponzi, BUT not a Ponzi made to scam people. Bitcoin is like Gold, which started as naturally occurring Ponzis until it was used, and accepted as payment that started its own circular economy, which backs the cryptocurrency.

I would say the news posted by OP is a positive development from Bitcoin perspective but still Bitcoin is far away from adoption as mainstream payment method. Till date its mostly seen as an asset of investment. BTC no doubt has made huge progress in 10 years time, but I want to see it in main corridors of payment method. Govt regulations are too tight on decentralized BTC, most of news coming regarding btc adoption are on centralized BTC.

The funny thing is, all of my mates who used to ignore and make fun of Bitcoin whenever I mention it back then, is now holding their own bitcoins, if they only believed in what I was saying, they could have easily gained profit from a 4-year investment.

Bitcoin is not just a tulip, it remind me of the past history which now seem unimpressive (tulips). I never even thought bitcoin could be equated with a tulip because we know what bitcoin does and how it is used as a currency. Holding bitcoin has really been the best investment for me till date. Although I had to sell some of it few months ago but I am still happy to be around holding the left over.
