If this is its case after 13 years, imagine what another 10 years bring, and unlike it was before, Bitcoin right now has been cleared to some kind of Ponzi scheme and scam investment like others have claimed in the past. everything about it is good news right now. In that case, all we can speculate in the price will furthermore increase and we just don't know up to how much it will cost because, after all these years, it will gonna fully reach its final ATH someday.

That was a short time indeed and Bitcoin has made a lot of achievements already. Bitcoin is an overachiever. In fact, it was already a huge success that Bitcoin got known after just being talked about by a few underground people. If we compare Bitcoin to a person, he must be a child prodigy. And take not that Bitcoin became what it is now despite very strong odds. It was Bitcoin against the world of powerful governments, banks, and fiat institutions. But this is just the start. There's more to reach as Bitcoin grows.

Didn't think of BTC being recognized in age groups. But it is somewhat true. Not near adulthood yet but getting there.
As with all kids there are growing pains to endure watching them grow up.. and there certainly has been alot of them.
Just watching a documentary about one of them, to do with a rather big exchange which went down 3 years ago and took all their users money with the owner who mysteriously died in India.
That just goes to show you to be careful with your cryptocurrency and only "In code we trust!".

It's been a long journey to be honest, from obscurity and started not an asset, and then slowly grows in the next ten years or so. So it was really remarkable to see it in 2022 and more people are recognizing it globally as now one of the best asset. So I'm expecting that it will continue it's march in the next 13 years. But it will not be a smooth sailing that's for sure, maybe will continue to attack it specially old and traditional investors and will call it all sort of names to downplay it.

Good to be aware that Bitcoin is now officially 13 years old...must already have crushes on the horizon being a teenager lol. Indeed, in such a short period of time of its evolution and history, Bitcoin achieved many things as compared to other big organizations we are familiar with. And in the next coming years, am sure there can be more colorful things to happen in, around and with Bitcoin. While many people can be thinking that Bitcoin will be dying soon or that it will get into zero, Bitcoin will survive those predictions and can be more valuable than many banks combined. Of course, last year its crowning glory was when it became a legal tender of El Salvador - hope some other countries will be following the same or at least make Bitcoin legal in their territories.

I had a tough time investing Bitcoin in late 2021. I started investing this crypto about a month ago. (Yes I'm new here.) I was off to a bad start. In the beginning, The crypto had suffered the worst drop in Crypto history. I immediately lost $300 of my investments because bitcoin tumbled 10k. When I started investing bitcoin a month ago, It was 56k but now, it's 47k as I'm writing this. So far, I had lost $100 more from the dip to now. I'd gotta say that I love bitcoin and It's making the bitcoin veterans rich. Bitcoin started off with a piece of paper to a massive crypto investing fanbase in just 13 YEARS!!!!!!!!

I don't think it'll have a final ATH, because if that happens furthermore it loss its importance of unpredictability. With time through increasing adoption we can experience low volatility. Through these many years it has reached big, and has made changes in millions of people's life. By this time it is a must to remember our forum "Bitcointalk" that has done a great work in the spread about bitcoin.

All of the mentioned statistics are valid and legit , and i cannot say anything against this.

But 100 million Owners ? how can we distinguish this? because i believe that not all wallets represents ownership because one person can have hundreds or even thousands of wallets meaning this is a different approach .

The scammers aren't just as active as they were back in the day so I really don't think that we will probably get rid of them totally. We don't need to speculate that the price will go up, it will be a guarantee that the price will go up, it's not a matter of if but when. I don't think we might see a final ATH though, it implies that the market will eventually end.

Sometimes i am amazed to see how far we have come over all these years like few years back it was just limited to some of us and only a handful people have heard about it but now it's the most common crypto currency globally and whenever someone heard about crypto the first thought that come in mind is bitcoin.There are so many people who have invested and accepted btc till now and 90% of supply has been mined and rest will take more then century to mine till 2140.

It doesn't matter the stats of the ownerships count is true or not, if it's false maybe it's just missed couple hundred thousands and the real numbers is still around those because it's already worldwide and still growing strong till today.
We can't wait what will be achieved in the next 10 years, we are the lucky people who already involved in bitcoin's evolution since right now. I'm sure it will be even bigger in the future.

Those are facts and there have been estimated million in the quantity that is lost forever, they're considered burned bitcoins, burnt money that will stay on it no matter what it's valued.

This is note-worthy. People should understand the importance of its supply. 90% has been mined and many have been lost forever. Big companies stock as much as they can. If they're doing it, we should also do it even for smaller amounts. Bitcoin is becoming scarce year by year and let's not forget about halving too.

Good news, 13 years goes by so fast with all the things we've been through. At the beginning of the emergence of bitcoin, many considered ponzi schemes, fraudulent investments and the like. But look what we have achieved now, a lot of people are living from here. I hope we don't settle for how we feel right now. But this is a motivation to achieve further success.

Its kinda funny at least for me to say to an asset that it is a "teenager" since that word is mostly being used to young kids.
Anyway, if you compare to how fiat evolved Vs. how Bitcoin and crypto evolved you will see that many happened in such a short amount of time.

Bitcoin has been there for around 13 years only but it went up very high and its popularity is still increasing. Though many people aren't investing on it, the fact that they know something about Bitcoin is only a good thing since there is a chance that they might change their mind therefore they will invest into it.

Either way, I agree with what others had posted here that you should post some sources into what you are saying OP because without evidences most of what you said might be false. Stay longer Bitcoin and hope you will have pubic hairs in the succeeding years :D.

Welcome to the teenage club Bitcoin! The first ever crypto who reached 13 years old!

Until now I am still very grateful for the one and only Satoshi Nakamoto who created Bitcoin. I don't know where would our lives would be without BTC. Because of BTC, altcoins are created and more opportunities along the way such as DeFi, airdrops, NFTs, GameFi and the much-anticipated metaverse. More jobs are created as well and have helped a lot of people in their financial needs and dreams at the same time.

Bitcoin is here to stay not just for a very long time, but forever!

Yes, bitcoin has defied all expectations of failure and its network continues to grow exponentially. As is often said, the longer bitcoin survives, the stronger it gets. It's only a matter of time before other countries besides El Salvador adopt it as legal tender.

The journey is still not too long and is still in the advanced phase of adoption.

On 3rd  January there is the birthday of bitcoin. Bitcoin came into existence On 3 January 2009. And  Satoshi Nakamoto started blockchain technology mining on the above date. Now bitcoin has completed more than one decade of its age. It got much popularity in the period of 13 period and millions of the people joined this business. There is also good development in its value & impotance.

I think that it's not yet the full potential of bitcoin though, I think that it's no-brainer that we will probably see bitcoin growing ever more and eventually, the critics won't be able to just hate on it anymore, when the growth happens, we will eventually see more people changing sides.

At first I was frustrated with the price which was really irregular for me and it was hard to guess how it would move, and I lost almost a lot of the assets I had in 2020.

but when 2021 I understood one thing, that in here we can't be in 1 or 2 weeks to achieve success, and I started to explore this.

and the result is correct. This is the first stage and I am very happy to be here

Finally bitcoin is teenager now who have shown to the world what it is capable of.Sometimes it reminds of me of movie scenes where one's talent is first underestimated by everyone and later on each and everyone bow to him and same has happened with bitcoin in this 13 year time lapse like those who call it scam,ponzi scheme or bubble are now accepting it and wants to invest in it for the profits and for deflationary future ahead of them.

Here is the price history chart for each birthday and for me its always performing well from the previous year because once we started from $0 and now it's above $46k which is insane growth and none of the world asset have been able to do so.

Congratulations to Bitcoin for being able to survive for 13 years, this indicates Bitcoin is strong and can maintain its position from the past until now as the king of crypto. In addition, the performance of Bitcoin is also getting better every year. I hope that in the future many countries will legalize Bitcoin, it's a shame if a currency like this is not used properly, especially in limited numbers. Maybe the government is still afraid because the value is fluctuating and can't be controlled. Indeed. Bitcoin has long been thriving, even at those years that it is ignored and doubted. As the years passed, people realized its essence and eventually adopted it, especially during this pandemic where crypto has showed what it can offer even if the world is caught up in the middle of a crisis. Truly, change is inevitable. And those who refuse to go along that change, won’t improve and worse be left in the back of time.

How many million lives might be happy just because of Bitcoin existence. And as said, imagining of how Bitcoin is going to in everyone's lives for their even small purchases in 10 years. How many more crypto coins are going to be invented. I've known him for almost nine years. Maybe it looks brief and still young, but for me it's been quite a while. Maybe my life wouldn't be what it is today if I didn't pursue this. Maybe for some countries the world bitcoin is a threat, but maybe they don't know if bitcoin has helped so many lives and given so much windfall to its surroundings. I'm still confident that bitcoin will reach a bigger ha than today and hopefully it will happen even if it does.

Though Bitcoin could still be used as an instrument to scam people, and layman will no wonder going to blame Bitcoin for being a scam when in reality they don't even know what they are invested for. Those 13 years are a proof of a solid foundation why Bitcoin still remains these days and will continue growing in the next upcoming years. There is really nothing new about that, so let’s not act like it is something new at all. That’s why you have to always plan yourself, if you are not ready for it you can plan to sell ahead and wait for the market to drop to the least that it would before you invest back in the market.

agree with you it's time if you have the funds to buy bitcoin and save it then when the increase will definitely occur in the future.

That's why many people sold early. People who bought at $1 and sold at $20 for example. And also in all the bitcoins that were lost in the first years, if the owners had known where the price and market cap could go they would have been more careful. But at that time Bitcoin was the beginning of something experimental, cheap, with a very volatile price and about which there were many doubts.

The question for me after these 13 years is whether Bitcoin will stay with us for another 100 years, and the vast majority of the forum hope it will, but it remains to be seen.

From year to year bitcoin development increase and morw advantage too. Last year we see bitcoin made his historical price in $66+.Bitcoin price now little dip but 2021 bitcoin price reached all record. I Think bitcoin will be more development in future.We are lucky people when we start bitcoin journey in 2014, Bitcoin price was around $400-$600$ but now bitcoin price around $41k+.I hope bitcoin will be reach $100k in 2022.

Really it has archived many things within the short period of time .It has proved that how much valuable asset it is .I was really shocked first time after watching btc price around 900$ may be at year 2013/2014 ,I just thought it could be nothing which has got over priced but gradually started to learn about it and got the idea about that it is really a huge asset .The more exciting thing was that when El Salvador made the announcement to legalize it and use as state currency ,things were changing positively and at last it has boom .However i think there are many more are coming ,I also thing still its on teenager period we can see many more on upcoming days that's why holding my btc .

Bitcoin will reach 100k whenever we cryptocurrency bull run, 2022 wants to change the market structure of bitcoin buy bringing it down ward but i realize that past years Bitcoin have not gotten to this price and it have being long why the price is rotational, the year 2019 Bitcoin price base on one particular price 9k to 10k and no body complained at this time it move up to 30k to 40k we are not still comfortable, because if you flashback Bitcoin stayed long for the price of 10k and people were happy that their making profit, what we know is that bitcoin price will reach 100k but is not now

Looks like you are very confident with the price of bitcoin will reach $100K this year. I would be really happy if this actually happened. But looking at ATH in 2021, the possibility that ATH will be in 2022 might be a little difficult. If you look at the habits that have occurred, then in 2017 Bitcoin reached a price of $19K and dropped back to around $3.8K. That means almost a 70% decrease from the highest price.
At the moment bearish signs are in place there are two strong supports at $38K and around $28K. If the price breaks, it's possible that the price could reach $15K. IMO

I remember the good old days when Satoshi's identity was much more important to be found out rather than focusing on bitcoin, it seems that everyone really wanted to know who was behind this magic, I was one of them and luckily I stumbled on this forum where everything I want to I want to learn about him is available and along the way, I got tired of it and focused on bitcoin and I was happy that my obsession to find the identity lead me to riches I never thought I would have. Woah, how time flies so fast if we would just look back at the time where bitcoin are struggling from huge price correction up to now I can't imagine that bitcoin is already existing for 13 years. Truly bitcoin journey gone through a rough road, banned to unbanned of different countries but still stand up stronger and yeah it will definitely going to achieve more milestones. This year seems to be one of the tough year to crypto platform but I believe and I am very optimistic that we will going to see another milestone this year.

Bitcoin has achieved a lot in just a few years after its inception. It's impressive for something that's fairly new to the world. If Bitcoin went from $0.01 to almost $70k in just 13 years, imagine how much it will grow 10 years from now. Countries are now beginning to embrace Bitcoin as it provides greater benefits than Fiat itself. El Salvador is the first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, and more should follow suit. This is only the beginning of a long journey filled with excitement and riches to early adopters like us. Considering that Bitcoin is the future of money, there's a high probability it'll become extremely valuable in the long term. Once everyone uses Bitcoin on a daily basis, then full decentralization will be achieved. Who knows if Bitcoin's non-stop success leads us to the decay of Fiat in the mainstream world? Just my thoughts ;D

Yes of course, one can make good returns when they invest in Bitcoin, so it's really profitable, but quite a lot of people have mistaken this profitability for a "get rich quick" network which the Bitcoin network actually isn't, and as such many people have become anti Bitcoin, cause they didn't have the patience to hold their coins as all they wanted was fast money. What I'm saying here is that, in as much as Bitcoin is somewhat profitable, it could be counterproductive for people who rest solely on that mindset and want to make money out of the network as soon as possible, there is still patience that one is expected to have, as well as believe in the network, so when there is a correction/plunge, you'll not run into panic selling.

True talk,bitcoin is a well known currency, many countries embraced it, bitcoin will be a great valuable in future and government may  accept it as official currency. Happy birthday bitcoin.

That's another reason why you should invest in bitcoins and at the same time you should have more than fifty percent of your portfolio in bitcoins. Some newbies in crypto only invest in altcoins as they think that altcoins can give better returns. This is not 💯% true as bitcoin gives more return in the long run.

The circulation of bitcoin has gone to long distance, the name digital currency does not directly point at Bitcoin alone but the tendency Bitcoin exercise the powers of dominance is skeptical, the name has gone a long way indecencies even from the grassroots you will know what is bitcoin while it's not up to fifteen years or twenty  years (15y-20y) it doesn't matter the decrement of bitcoin price gravity currently...but this 13th Birthday existence, it has helped Many people, so from my perspective bitcoin eradicate certain hard or difficult live living to people.

Then should we expect a wild growth or the rebellious phase?

No sign so far mate , and yes there might be a wild growth in the coming time but not this soon because market is still recovering from the year end situation .

It's the, "You are a teenager now" part for me. I like how OP personalized it in the title. If we continue on this trajectory, Bitcoin will be overblown before adulthood. It's a real success story and a lot of naysayers have learnt to take a back seat. The handful dissidents still remaining are fighting a lost battle as Bitcoin has come to stay. It's the grandmaster pathfinder of the crypto world.

13 years is not a short time of all that bitcoin has been through. If we look at it from the beginning, bitcoin shows extraordinary achievements. We've been through a lot of things that are a little annoying and even difficult. Now bitcoin has silenced those who doubted bitcoin. Congratulations to bitcoin, to us and let's create a new history.

Lets wave for the next 13 years more and what will be the position in worldwide currency  , maybe by that Time bitcoin would be the major currency used as the electronic payments will be the trend then .

A big congratulation to all the bitcoin users for 13 anniversary so far, with so much impact many people has received from this great family. Those that rejected bitcoin some years ago thinking bitcoin will not last more than 12year and bitcoin users are celebrating 13 anniversary of bitcoin in the community. Many countries are fully ready to accept bitcoin in any transactions in their country to enable their citizens to enjoy the benefits of bitcoin. Many dropped along with the journey to know more about bitcoin that was making them to see bitcoin as a difficult decentralized currency.

Actually the year doesnt counts, when the support increased thrice and four times. The investors numbers was increased more than a 100 times, which was in 2013.Till 2017, people fear to inverse because of insecurity.My friends also said me to just buy and sell immediately. So I had brought only few coins during 2014 and sell with minimum profit. If I had hold it till the 2021, I will became a millionaire by just holding little coins.

If Bitcoin went this far as a "teenager", imagine how big it'll become as an "adult". This is impressive for something that was previously criticized to be "made out of thin air". The way Bitcoin was designed, has allowed it to survive up to this point. If it was really a scam or a Ponzi, then it would've vanished already. Thanks to the decentralized and open source nature of Bitcoin, people get to truly enjoy financial freedom. This is just the beginning of a long journey filled with excitement and untold riches. With so many things in the works, it's likely Bitcoin will become a stronger cryptocurrency in the future. Prices may be going down now, but development is still on-going behind the scenes. We owe it all to Satoshi, as none of this would've been possible without him. Who knows if Bitcoin lasts a lifetime? Just my opinion :)

In a short time, bitcoin has made great achievements and the biggest one is winning people’s trust that many instruments have not been able to win in spite of being here for so many years. Nowadays, people don’t only use it to invest, but trade and buy things with it. It won’t be much if I say that for many people, bitcoin is the US dollar of digital currencies.

It still seems like yesterday when Bitcoin was looked and talked down on bacause it seemed to good to be true.

It's being a beautiful ride for all we traders, I may not have joined the trend at the begining (because I kinda also thought it to be a scam) but for the very short time I've occupied some coins, I must say, it's been a blessing.
