Title: Safest browser for Metamask ?
Post by: Len Saldua on April 12, 2022, 06:45:26 PM
Firefox ? Chrome ? Brave ?

Kinda worried because all of them try to collect information about your activities online. I've purchased BitDefender AntiVirus, and taken some other precautions but... can never be too careful as they say.

I plan to store most of my Altcoins in MetaMask by the way, that's why I need to be super careful. Yes i've looked into Exodus, Trezor and Ledger wallets, none of them support my coins, even Ellipal. Yes they do support "some" of my coins, but WTF do I do with "some" ? I need ALL my coins to be supported ! So MetaMask the only choice left I'm afraid.

Bro if you not share your seed then no one can steal your wallet and if you talk about metamask then dont approve on your wallet any unusual acitvity or dont swap any scam token then your wallet will not hack. Also if you talk about your pc security then use any hard and secure software for protect your pc data.

Thanks, I'm using a laptop. I'm especially careful with social media sites like Facebook and YouTube as they are fairly aggressive at tracking your activities online. Not even going near TikTok or Discord as they have links to the CCP and apparently use even more sophisticated ways to track everything you do online, even the things you type on your keyboard and things related to your identity. And of course I don't have any crypto related apps on my phone either, I only use the computer.

To be honest, I would advise against using browser wallets at all. I'm not a security specialist, but even if the wallet is safe, every browser has vulnerabilities. If something happens, you'll never know what really caused your funds to disappear. I recommend Trust Wallet for mobile much more.

Use Chrome if it's just cheap coins. Use wallets with high security if you are thinking of making it a vault of assets.
The thing is, it will give you a mountain of problems if you are using it for NFT games or other stuff that needs to be connected with Metamask every day.
Shutting down your computer will make you log in again and sign the message, it's still secured in a way and it gets things done in a faster way.
Extensions are usually used by lazy people like me but I don't freak out because I don't keep funds there.  ;D

As I said I've looked into all major hardware wallets and they only have "some" of my coins. Same thing with Trust Wallet. Besides that, I would never trust a mobile device with my crypto. Too easy to have it stolen. And even if it's not stolen, easy for others to see you're doing something crypto related, and suddenly , you become a target.

Been using brave for my metamask but used chrome before brave and so far, I haven't encountered any problem at all. As long as you are securing your keys and you are not divulging any of your crypto activities online, you won't be a target. Always secure your keys and don't just enter your keys to any site, some of them are phishing sites. Also, when you connect your wallet to any online site, at least do a background check if the site is legit.

One more thing I should add, my crypto is currently in a centralized exchange. I have a mix of popular coins ( Solana, Avalanche, Matic, Terra, Sandbox, Helium ) and lesser known coins ( ie. Ramp, Band, Illuvium ) amongst others. All of the wallets I've looked into ( Trezor, Ledger, Trust, Exodus, Ellipal ) have several missing FROM EACH CATEGORY !! WTF !!  So Centralized exchange for me. But lately I've realized I can't do any staking or DeFi so I am forced to make the move to MetaMask. I've been educating myself on safety precautions for about a week now, so I feel the risk is low.

I don't think any browser is safe.

It depends on the activity you're doing, for example like getting a "Hack wallet". Most of the time, because connected your wallet to a random website because random Airdrop and etc. In another case, If you visiting "P**n" then we all know most of the site using pops ads and you don't realize download somethings from there. Your device get virus like (Malware or clipboard virus).

Chrome worked for me with my Metamask and never had issues and problems. Just do not connect your wallet to any random website that asks you to do so.
When there's a usual connecting and requiring for your wallet and you've noticed it, leave that website already. That's what I do when I encounter one.

I'm keen on Brave too ! Unfortunately, since it's supposed to be the most secure and private browser I've been using it for porno for the past few months, so now I don't trust it at all ! LOL  I clear history after every session of course, and run an Anti Virus scan, but I'm afraid I still don't trust it !

Based on my experience both Firefox and Chrome are safe it's your browsing habit that you should watch out for, do not download pirated software do not go to dubious links, and check all the other extensions that are on your browser.
Don't use a browser-based wallet because of phishing, Metamask is safe as long as you are not sharing your keys or there are no intrutions.

Any browser can be exploited just use what's you've been using ever since just be mindful  on potential scams or other things to consider not to be exploited. Always check what you're trying to click or wanted to open since that's where problem may came from, be mindful as well to check for updates since developers do warn if the browser version isn't safe anymore.

If there is only that option, it's actually safe on chrome or firefox if you only store assets on that one computer, and only store assets. If you are afraid of being hacked, don't use that one computer/device to browse anywhere, like a wallet that is used only if there is a need.

Yes both I think are unquestionable browsers and a lot of people have used them too,
my own experience is using chrome and so far it's safe even though any browser i don't think there is any guarantee it won't be exploited or hacked,
so when using any browser we also need to be careful and always check it

Brave. Something cool about it is that it has a built in crypto wallet, which is good if you're just using Ethereum. If you're using other chains though you need the opera crypto browser, which has a built in wallet that supports more chains and an included proxy. The opera browser is safer than the Brave one because brave Tor does not work with metamask or the crypto wallet unless you use a web wallet like Lumi and a token like 0xMR.

You can't really avoid it, everything in the net is trying to get data from us to sell something in the future.

But personally, I have been using Brave for the last year or so and I don't have any problems at all.

Firefox is the most privacy oriented browser among the three. Brave used to say they are about privacy but they do not really practice that after they have become "commercialized". Both Chrome and Brave are also built on Chromium which we know as developed by Google. Look up on what Google has done to user data over the years.

What ever browser you use I think keep safety but virus depending when access do you open, usually if you active watching online movie with legal site you have possibility with your metamask is not safety. I think chrome browser keep safety trough you not approved swap with several dusting token received every time on your wallet, exactly dusting token always have with BSC network and give as much value when you try sell on pancake swap. another step how to protect your metamask wallet keep safety always access with legal website and never use VPN on your computer.

I can't say which one is better in terms of security. But I always use it on chrome. The security of your computer is an important point here. If you cannot secure your personal computer, it will not matter in your browser. The metamask application already has a unique password for you. In addition, it receives approval for transactions made from you. If you do not give these necessary approvals, there will be no problems. But if you want great security, I recommend using ledger for it. Also, do not share your information with third parties.

I have been using chrome for a few years and i never had anyproblem with chrome and probably the best browser for now, chrome is very responsive unlike another browser that exist in the internet. I think that if chrome was the best one to be used for the daily interaction with the dapps through metamask and i think that you can pick this one as your browser to be used for the metamask. in my opinion if this browser is worth to try. The second position must be mozilla firefox. I would not recommend you use brave caused by this browser is not safe at all. becareful when you are using brave browser.

Chrome is more secure than any other browser but recently it data was also leaked and 32 billion users were warned to update the Chrome immediately. Hacker stolen all email and other data. I am using Chrome and Edge for Metamask and other functions . You should also disconnect your Metamask wallet from all connected sites after you do transaction.

Presently i will advised you to use Chrome browser, is the safest and the easiest browser to use both security aspect and fast browsing speed. Most at times you don't have enable autosave details; meaning do not allow the browser to collect and save your information automatically and you must make sure to enter your data personally instead choosing the popup saved details.

All browsers are the same because it will depend on what you are visiting later. If you install Chrome only to be able to use Metamask and don't use it to visit sites on the internet, then you will be safe from phishing, scamming, trojan, or malware attacks likewise if you install Firefox or Brave.

But if you use that browser to install Metamask and visit other sites, there will be opportunities for hackers to penetrate and enter your wallet through bugs in every browser or plugin. That's just a suggestion, and the rest is up to you.

yes this is the best way to avoid hacking. so it doesn't matter to use chrome, egde, firefox or other browsers, as long as we disconnect the metamask access after we finish using it. and This is a safe way. but if you're still afraid, it's better not to use attention metamask, I suggest using the metask mobile application.

In my opinion, Firefox is a better choice than the Chrome browser but many of the web3 wallet extension does not support Firefox this is the only downside of it. And for coins/tokens support issues use Matemask but connect through your hardware wallet. In this way, all your coins/tokens will be in the safe wallet and also you can access all your crypto through metamask.

It's fine to use those browsers if you know what to do when you want to access your Metamask wallet or when you want to connect to Defi exchange sites, I personally also use Firefox and Chrome browsers to access Metamask wallets and so far I haven't had any problems with the wallet me, because most importantly we must always be careful when we want to connect our wallet to the exchange site so as not to lose assets.

I don't understand your intent and purpose for this but so far I'm still very comfortable and happy to use Firefox and Chrome as the browsers where I work.
So for now there is no intention at all to replace it with something else or add something else for certain purposes such as security for example.

My first choice must be chrome as this browser is so easy to be used to connect into the various dapps. In my opinion that if the browser that was collecting your activies through cookies and if you are not allowing it and you are fine but it's not for brave browser. I have heard a rumour that if brave was not so safe as people said and this one is collecting the data. Sometimes antivirus was not so effective to prevent it to happen. In my opinion as long as the company was collecting it through cookies and that's fine as you can reject it.
Some browsers may very suspicious. I have been warned about brave is not safe.

Chrome is good and I use it too. Nothing is really perfect without problems, even though have tried to use anti-dust attack risk prevention with AntiVirus, usually, the hacker's mode is to try to direct victims to fake websites, so always double-check all website links. the point is never to contact Metamask to a free VPN.

I used Metamask Extension in chrome for quite a long time. So far I haven't had any problems like yours. if anyone has had the same problem as you, I think it's been a long time since a lot of people have lost their assets and definitely won't be using the browser for wallet-related activities.
I'm afraid the problem is with your activity connecting your wallet extension to some bad web. you have to be careful with the tokens in your wallet. or to be more secure, you can use a hardware wallet to store your main assets.

Okay, thanks people ! I'm going to try Chrome or Firefox based on your feedback here. I will educate myself on browser security some more as well, as I've never really used MetaMask before. I have only used PayPal, and already got some scammer contacting me through e-mail about my PayPal account. They claimed to be from PayPal ( had proper logo and looked legit ) but when I followed through ( not clicking on their fake links of course ) I confirmed they were try to scam me. Incidentally I also got someone trying to scam me through facebook, told me about some amazing DeFi project that turned out to be a scam. No, i didn't invest in it, I'm fairly thorough with my research and nothing gets past me.

I wish I could use a hardware wallet but as I said, I've checked all of them out, they only support some of my coins. Now that I will try DeFi, I will get even more exotic coins that nobody's ever heard of so zero confidence in hardware wallets.

<..................>

It is difficult to say which is more secure because they are all world-class browsers. But in this list, only Brave is the browser that is concerned with security, but all the other browsers are only focusing on the best browsing experience for users. Though this does not imply that they are not secure; they are, in fact, secure; however, when it comes to blocking several back ads and cookies, brave comes out on top.brave comes with the same concept. This is really it. Now comes to the topic of what I am using. I am using Brave and Edge browsers because they are light for my laptop. And I avoid Chrome because it runs in the background constantly and uses so much background data. That's my overall opinion. Thank you.

All you have to do is not to connect your MetaMask wallet to a site that asks you to do so, and if you are a fan of participating in airdrops and bounties, you can use a new wallet address other than your main address where you store your tokens, and you must be careful that after you connect your wallet to one of the sites, you must read The message you receive from MetaMask well before you approve the transaction and you should save the exchange sites and wallets in the bookmarks and do not click on any suspicious sites.

In my opinion that if chrome is the only neutral browser. The best browser and this is the safest browser as well, easy for use with dapps in any platforms. In my opinion of chrome is the best one for the metamask compared with another browser. This browser is very light and it can process anything so fast. I meant the most responsive browser for me. I have been using this since a long time ago. I never had a problem and this caused by you must not interact with suspicious platform to connect with your metamask. In my opinion if anti virus has nothing to do with this.
The approval for the browser to collect your information totally depend with your choice

Using Ledger/Trezor doesn't necessarily mean that you cannot store whatever coins/token you are planning to buy.

These two hardware wallets can be used in conjunction with Metamask on your preferred web browser (I recommend Firefox), allowing the HW to generate a seed for you without it leaving the hardware wallet, rather than using the Metamask extension, which stores the seed somewhere in your /laptop. This is why using a hardware wallet in conjunction with Metamask is the most secure way to keep your cryptocurrency.

Metamask is only an extension wallet that can be used in browser applications, that means it is not a security issue of the browser you are using, but this is a limitation of metamask itself. Since metamask is just an extension so easy to use, but very security vulnerable, I think it's better to keep a few assets here. If we want to make assets safer, it is better to use a hardwallet such as Trezor, or Safepal Hardwallet.

personally, I use chrome. it is a very simple browser and quite comfortable to use. however, some people recommend using brave, because we can also produce bravecoin if we use it for a long time and it is quite compatible with the use of cryptocurrencies. however, I think, right now it's not good enough anymore. since the beginning I know the crypto world until now, I still use chorme and it is still very safe to this day.
well, as long as you don't click on random links, and don't get caught on scam sites, then I think it's safe.

Good point. By the way, I do have a Trezor, it does work like the Ledger device, and I got my seedphrase sorted already. So why won't I use it with MetaMask then ? Because just like Ledger, you need it to support the coin you are putting on the wallet or staking. Ledger Live only works with supported coins too. So what do you do if your coin is not supported ? I don't see how having a hardware wallet helps me there unfortunately. Several of my coins are not supported by either Ledger or Trezor, so I will just use the MetaMask wallet.

Yes, all browsing applications keep a history of what we did with the cookie system they developed. But the history is stored on Google not on the application. So google can't possibly spy on our poor metamask wallet. Lol
So, don't worry too much about it.

If we want to make assets safer, it is better to use a hardwallet such as Trezor, or Safepal Hardwallet.

Actually, I did check the Safepal HW list of supported coins just because I hadn't heard of Safepal before. It does look as though they support all of my assets, EXCEPT for Terra Luna, which currently makes up 52 % of my portfolio. So even though it looks promising, I am reluctant to use Safepal, as it has no support for my biggest asset. By the way, I did notice in their page that some coins only have the "Send / Receive " feature enabled, but not the "buy" or "swap". Does that mean I am unable to buy new tokens if I am using Safepal ? I thought the whole point of DeFi was so that we can buy or swap one kind of token for another ?

By the way, I don't think Safepal would be very useful for DeFi, since most DeFi pages only support Ledger Nano and Trezor ( sometimes only Ledger ) when they ask you to "connect hardware wallet".

Metamask is generally very safe, unless someone is snooping into your laptop using some Remote desktop software like TeamViewer there are no chances of theft from your wallet. Browsers might collect information but until installed from genuine source it won't snoop into you while writing your password to metamask, also even if it does, it won't be able to do a transaction on its own when your pc is left unattended, so in my opinion all the browsers are pretty safe in this context. Chrome Firefox brave and even Edge.

And I think it's also reasonable because Ledger Nano and Trezor are already much more popular and can also be widely connected to all existing programs today, although Safepal is here to complete that line of competition more easily and I think it's also not bad for Safepal.

still safe using any browser as long as you keep your password away from other eyes.

Usually my main browser is Brave since it supports crypto integrated with rewards in BAT tokens. I installed Metamask, Ronin and other wallets here, but this is still vulnerable if we are not careful on which sites are we connecting our wallets. Coz' there are some cases which these phishing sites are setting up "traps" that they can take away the funds from Metamask wallets even without the need of seed phrases or private keys.

If you want your funds to be secured, it's better you should invest in a hardware wallet like Ledger, Trezor, Safepal, SecuX, etc.

Why not try it on the Tor browser. I had been using Tor and chrome as well. If you feel that you have a privacy issue, then better Tor. But always keep in your mind, it's important where have you been connecting your wallet. Make sure the website is safe, from the Tor end nothing wrong I found. Everything went fine even Tor and chrome. Always better to use your hardware wallet if you can afford it. So fund won't move without your device.

I used metamask (the same wallet) on all of them and I never had any problems with that! I used and I am using other extensions for some other coins as well, without any problems! Not just metamask for ETH, I have TronLink and Binance Wallet! I experimented with different browsers and all these wallets work perfectly fine for me on each browser!

I think we Firefox, Brave, and Chrome are ok, and I am sure they will be ok, but whoever seeks extra protections should use VPN first, maybe even TOR browser, but just for people who wish to be extra careful, if they have a good reason for that!

And most people are not going to have any trouble with those web browsers as long as they install them from legitimate sources, however the worries about your privacy when using those browsers are legitimate especially when we are dealing with data that has a monetary value, since we know that almost every single company related to any Internet service is doing their best in order to track us, so they could eventually end up with the information of your seeds words and someone could steal your coins, but as long as you use browser extensions and wallets this is a risk that is impossible to eliminate completely.

I personally use chrome, even though there are lot of browsers that offers good quality they say. In terms of safeness, all of those mention above are goo browsers including Opera. It depends on how you manage your accounts security. I recommend to store your seed outside your gadgets, just in case you will be breached you won't regret , however hardwallet is the best choice out there.

Importing your 12-word seed phrase to MetaMask will render your hardware wallet useless. Your Trezor's purpose is to keep your private keys safe in an offline environment. And you should consider your seed phrase compromised once you've imported it into a web wallet like metamask.

Keep in mind that a standard Metamask wallet merely encrypts the private key and saves it to your browser's local storage. As a result, you're subject to a variety of online attack vectors that could steal your tokens.

The best approach for integrating your metamask wallet with trezor is to use the "connect hardware wallet" function. This means you'll be utilizing the same wallet to store all of your assets, which you'll be able to access via the Trezor app or Metamask. Also keep in mind that Trezor stores your private key, and you'll need the physical device to sign a transaction.

as long as you don't share your wallet's secret password. as long as you keep the password well
then your wallet will be safe. even if your wallet software is considered a virus by bitdefender or any antivirus
I think your wallet will remain safe because your wallet software that was attacked is not your wallet.

I think all 3 browsers are the same as they all use chromium kernel. They have only slight publisher difference and brave will prevail if OP is looking for a browser for privacy and crypto related.

When you use extensions like metamask or software wallet, there is no guarantee of your safety. The only way is to use it only on dedicated computers to perform crypto-related operations, not to visit strange links, and not to install pirated or cracked software.

To be honest, I would advise against using browser wallets at all. I'm not a security specialist, but even if the wallet is safe, every browser has vulnerabilities. If something happens, you'll never know what really caused your funds to disappear. I recommend Trust Wallet for mobile much more.

yes you are right, the best option is not to use the wallet extension. better use a mobile wallet like trustwallet, safepal, tokenpoket or metamask app. This method is safer than using a browser. I've done it, and till date I've never had a problem with hacking.

Brave and Firefox, I always use those two but just installing them is not enough and you need to harden the website or tweak it a little to make it more safer. You can search online how to harden up Firefox and Brave, they also ask you to install some plugins that are helpful so just follow the instruction and I am sure that it would be safer for your metamask.

That is the point people should really be worried about. The problem isn't the browser you are using, but the sites you are giving permission to link to your metamask wallet. It's a must to check the legitimacy of the sites before confirming anything. Actually that is what metamask warns when we attempt to link it to any sites.

For hackers it's easy to pretend they are going to distribute a token or NFT for free just to connect themselves to someone's wallet and in the end they say it's a browser issue or vulnerability that caused the victim to lose his funds.

Give me the list of coins and tokens that only Metamask supports because I haven't seen any thats not available on Trust Wallet and using Trust wallet is way safer than Metamask, also Metamask is even safer if you are using the mobile app on android instead of browser plugin.

It seems that if the wallet that we use for protection is still using software, of course it is very vulnerable to hacker attacks. In the cryptocurrency world, hackers are more knowledgeable, they can even hack blockchain networks, buy an antivirus, too, when we are negligent, it can cause the virus to enter. Usually I prefer to use a hard wallet to get more secure security than storing it in software form such as in a folder, with a json file or private key.
If you use a regular wallet, at least you have to have a few assets so that when it's lost it won't be a problem, and try to replace your wallet every few months, especially if you use Metamask which is only a browser extension.

I think MetaMask is safe on any of these browsers as there have been no known major attacks that have resulted in users losing their digital assets. However, phishing attacks can be used to access individual crypto wallet information if users are not careful. For maximum security, consider running MetaMask in a separate web browser and never keep your Metamask unlocked. Get into the habit of regularly clearing your browser cache, cookies, and history. Run anti-malware and anti-virus programs from time to time. I've been using Metamask in Chrome browser for a few years now as I have the EtherAddressLookup extension installed for added security.

Firstly, you need to be careful with the kind or types of antiviru apps that you install to your pc. We have no problem to metamask for chrome and firefox because they are both the best and most popular browsers, but the vulnerability is affected by the use of vpn, installed virus applications, malicious extensions and etc. Chances are the app has clipboard malware embedded that detects when it copies private keys and mnemonic phrases, so check the apps and extensions on your OS before losing assets in the wallet.

I'm a wallet user on Desktop Wallet, and I also use Metamask Wallet so far I haven't had a problem with this, it depends on how you use your browser, and here I use Chrome for browser security. You also have to be careful when opening social media. like Facebook, Youtube or other media because they are very aggressive in finding and tracking people's activities in doing things online, and you should never share your activities.

With this they will not be able to hack or steal your assets. and in my waleet browser I also store most of my assets in mobile wallets such as Trust Wallet and Tokocrypto to avoid this because mobile waleet also has very accurate security, and all assets you store can be guaranteed. if you say you have bought Bitdefender Antivirus that is also good, and can treat your computer or laptop well and have good security.

I think firefox, chrome, brave are all safe as long as you don't enter the website that connects your metamask, because if you enter and connect your metamask it is possible that it could be the beginning of the problem (hacked) so be careful connecting your wallet

"Firefox is not based on Chromium (the open source browser project at the core of Google Chrome)"
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/faq/

"Yes. The Brave Browser is built on the open-source Chromium web core and our own client code is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0."
https://brave.com/#:~:text=Yes.,the%20Mozilla%20Public%20License%202.0.

A lot of browsers use Chromium, better use hardware wallets.

I prefer to use metamask extension in google chrome than the others because it looks like always up to date in chrome.
From my experience in Firefox, sometimes the extension can't be used (clicked but showing blank white box) so i prefer google chrome.
And we should double check the extension before we want to add it to our browser because maybe there are some fake metamask extensions out there.
That's why i didn’t use firefox browser, right now i'm using chrome browser for the last few years and it seems very user friendly browser not for only metamask, if sometimes i heard they collecting users data i don’t know it’s true or not, but in my experienced still i didn’t faced such issues. Yeah, definitely we have to check carefully before install metamask extension.

In my opinion, metamask is very safe to use, as long as you are safe in maintaining its role, but other applications have the same role, as long as you are good at maintaining every connection, yes you will get the trust of each application, good at viewing every web or exchange the restore connection with metamask, you will secure your assets.

We can't trust all browsers but most hackers hack Chrome browser data, I suggest Firefox is the best browser for Metamask and you should add advanced features, to enable auto-lock your Meamask your browser will be safe from hackers. Always use a PC or laptop browser never use any mobile browsers because mobile browsers are not safe. Defender on PC or laptop is good to measure but always should be careful.

I am currently using Brave browser and I think this browser is good enough for Metamask but having a safe browser doesn't mean that you are not prone to Phishing scam since if you visit a Phishing site and connect your wallet to it or similar to that, I am 100% sure that they can still hack and steal your Metamask balance so you should be careful on visiting unfamiliar sites and links online.

So far, I'm sticking with google chrome and it's pretty safe. I think, it all depends on what link you click, or you may enter a phishing site. however, recommended browsers that are currently widely used are chorme, firefox, and Brave. I think, the 3 browsers are safe to use, on a PC or on a laptop. however, if you want to be even more secure, then use a hardwallet.

I think firefox is quite good handling the privacy, but if you want something better you can Try Tor Browser. Tor project known for their concern about privacy so their browser might should be better compared to other browser. Doesn't mean its 100% safe tho, people will still find some ways to hack you, bit it sure will be harder.

Firefox ? Chrome ? Brave ?

Kinda worried because all of them try to collect information about your activities online. I've purchased BitDefender AntiVirus, and taken some other precautions but... can never be too careful as they say.
Brave i would say but also other browsers are safe imho.It is really just mattering on how clean or safe your PC would be which is really safe from malware or simply clean.
The thing i do love with brave is that there are no ads and simply no way on tracking out activities which i do prefer the most but based on experience
i have make used of Metamask wallet into different browser which i dont really have any problems.

Most browsers are the same, not too much difference when you use metamask extension but if you want to find a browser that respects your privacy then firefox and brave is a better choice than chrome.

Whether your assets are safe or not is up to you, please use separate computers and phones for crypto activities, do not visit strange links, do not install crack software downloaded from the internet. To be more secure for your assets, I think you should buy yourself a hardware wallet.

All are fine. You can choice any of them but Chrome sounds much safe for Metamask IMHO. its upto you, how you manage to use browser. Its safe untill you click phishing link or install pirate software that affected by malware. Otherwise there's no worry.  And if your assets are much more valuable then use hardware wallet that will make your assets secure and don't use the device for others work.

A good practice to protect your asset, using a hardware wallet if you have valuable tokens / coins.

It's true that the metamask will continue being safe if you won't click or visit any phishing sites.
If you continue being protective of your wallet, you don't have to worry. Your action will take
responsibilities, especially now that hackers and scammers are very active, sending fake coins
to penetrate your wallet.

let's say that i would exclude firefox from the list and together with brave and chrome i would also add chromium, it is obviously a personal opinion

Chrome browser is my preferred choice and I had been using Metamask extension wallet on it without any issue, though I agreed with you that every users has to be very careful with the likely external compromise by hackers via Antivirus and other computer softwares, Sophistication in hacking and phishing has been in a large scale in recent time and this a big challenge for crypto hodlers thus their is the need secure our coins by taking extreme precautions, like unnecessary downloads, clicking of phishing sites, opening unwanted spam emails e.t.c if possible I will use a single PC or laptop for hodling my coins while other ones for my jobs.

All of them work for me but I don't have many funds saved up in there but since I don't have any of the hardware wallets I basically use some mobile wallets I never connect to any site but just to save other crypto assets there and it's been fine all through.

Even if you use a well-known premium antivirus it doesn't seem like it can really prevent hacker attacks from entering your metamask wallet. Attacks that usually occur on metamask wallets are caused by access that we give ourselves by accident and inattentiveness, such as connecting to dapps and transacting with token dusting, so how can antivirus read token dusting smart contracts because as far as I know that has never happened.

Yeah, you're right. All browsers are on the top so we can be sure that they are safe but again like you said it still depends on the user if what sites he is accessing or what stuffs is he doing. The op bought an antivirus and many good antivirus now have the ability to detect phishing and malwares so he isn't likely to get affected by them but there might still be one thing to worry and that is the privacy.

Chrome is the least private among the three browser but between brave and Mozilla it's going to be a tough choice if who among them are more private but if I have to pick one, that would be brave because it is more crypto oriented. It has a crypto wallet and you can earn some crypto as well.

Firefox is the most privacy oriented browser among the three. Brave used to say they are about privacy but they do not really practice that after they have become "commercialized". Both Chrome and Brave are also built on Chromium which we know as developed by Google. Look up on what Google has done to user data over the years.
for now there is no browser that is safe other than the TOR browser, because TOR Browser does not store the browsing cache of users from the browser, for google crome, Brave, and firefox browsers I don't really believe it, as far as I know crome, firefox, and brave save user data for them to store and display ad eligibility to users. so it's safe or not, like it or not, everyone has to wear it.

I personally have only used Metamask as a extension in my Firefox-browser so far, which is a little bit of a annoyance to me to be honest because my main browser is Brave for at least a year now but there the standard wallet is the integrated Brave Browser wallet as far as i know, so everytime i want to do crypto stuff like connecting to sushiswap or something i have to switch browsers. I have not found the time and motivation to look up how to use Metamask as the standard browser on brave which is pretty lazy from me i know but i guess it would not take to much time to set this up.
I can confirm though that i never had problems with metamask in Firefox.

As long as great security can be established in the browser, the app can be used in it, for example, that browser is only used for metamask and not for anything else, that protocols similar to those used to enter the deep web are used, that is, having a virtual machine, vpn, among other things, and being very aware of the cookies, deleting them and not leaving any vulnerability exposed, and having access to metamask with a Sha-256 password, I think these are good conditions to guarantee an acceptable security to have metamask.

I think browsers are not something that is a security problem for our metamask assets but what really becomes a problem is our fault because we are not careful in entering the metamask signature into dapps or we accidentally transact with dusting tokens because we are tempted by high estimates in the wallet. These two things I see most often when their wallet is hacked, but in some unique cases they lost assets with careful access. I think a safer solution is to use a hard wallet.
