Firefox ? Chrome ? Brave ?

Kinda worried because all of them try to collect information about your activities online. I've purchased BitDefender AntiVirus, and taken some other precautions but... can never be too careful as they say.

I plan to store most of my Altcoins in MetaMask by the way, that's why I need to be super careful. Yes i've looked into Exodus, Trezor and Ledger wallets, none of them support my coins, even Ellipal. Yes they do support "some" of my coins, but WTF do I do with "some" ? I need ALL my coins to be supported ! So MetaMask the only choice left I'm afraid.

Bro if you not share your seed then no one can steal your wallet and if you talk about metamask then dont approve on your wallet any unusual acitvity or dont swap any scam token then your wallet will not hack. Also if you talk about your pc security then use any hard and secure software for protect your pc data.

Thanks, I'm using a laptop. I'm especially careful with social media sites like Facebook and YouTube as they are fairly aggressive at tracking your activities online. Not even going near TikTok or Discord as they have links to the CCP and apparently use even more sophisticated ways to track everything you do online, even the things you type on your keyboard and things related to your identity. And of course I don't have any crypto related apps on my phone either, I only use the computer.

Use Chrome if it's just cheap coins. Use wallets with high security if you are thinking of making it a vault of assets.
The thing is, it will give you a mountain of problems if you are using it for NFT games or other stuff that needs to be connected with Metamask every day.
Shutting down your computer will make you log in again and sign the message, it's still secured in a way and it gets things done in a faster way.
Extensions are usually used by lazy people like me but I don't freak out because I don't keep funds there.  Grin

To me it's Firefox since it's opensource and not connected to any "big brother".

To be honest, I would advise against using browser wallets at all. I'm not a security specialist, but even if the wallet is safe, every browser has vulnerabilities. If something happens, you'll never know what really caused your funds to disappear. I recommend Trust Wallet for mobile much more.

As I said I've looked into all major hardware wallets and they only have "some" of my coins. Same thing with Trust Wallet. Besides that, I would never trust a mobile device with my crypto. Too easy to have it stolen. And even if it's not stolen, easy for others to see you're doing something crypto related, and suddenly , you become a target.

Been using brave for my metamask but used chrome before brave and so far, I haven't encountered any problem at all. As long as you are securing your keys and you are not divulging any of your crypto activities online, you won't be a target. Always secure your keys and don't just enter your keys to any site, some of them are phishing sites. Also, when you connect your wallet to any online site, at least do a background check if the site is legit.

One more thing I should add, my crypto is currently in a centralized exchange. I have a mix of popular coins ( Solana, Avalanche, Matic, Terra, Sandbox, Helium ) and lesser known coins ( ie. Ramp, Band, Illuvium ) amongst others. All of the wallets I've looked into ( Trezor, Ledger, Trust, Exodus, Ellipal ) have several missing FROM EACH CATEGORY !! WTF !!  So Centralized exchange for me. But lately I've realized I can't do any staking or DeFi so I am forced to make the move to MetaMask. I've been educating myself on safety precautions for about a week now, so I feel the risk is low.

I don't think any browser is safe.

It depends on the activity you're doing, for example like getting a "Hack wallet". Most of the time, because connected your wallet to a random website because random Airdrop and etc. In another case, If you visiting "P**n" then we all know most of the site using pops ads and you don't realize download somethings from there. Your device get virus like (Malware or clipboard virus).

Chrome worked for me with my Metamask and never had issues and problems. Just do not connect your wallet to any random website that asks you to do so.
When there's a usual connecting and requiring for your wallet and you've noticed it, leave that website already. That's what I do when I encounter one.

I'm keen on Brave too ! Unfortunately, since it's supposed to be the most secure and private browser I've been using it for porno for the past few months, so now I don't trust it at all ! LOL  I clear history after every session of course, and run an Anti Virus scan, but I'm afraid I still don't trust it !

Based on my experience both Firefox and Chrome are safe it's your browsing habit that you should watch out for, do not download pirated software do not go to dubious links, and check all the other extensions that are on your browser.
Don't use a browser-based wallet because of phishing, Metamask is safe as long as you are not sharing your keys or there are no intrutions.

Any browser can be exploited just use what's you've been using ever since just be mindful  on potential scams or other things to consider not to be exploited. Always check what you're trying to click or wanted to open since that's where problem may came from, be mindful as well to check for updates since developers do warn if the browser version isn't safe anymore.

If there is only that option, it's actually safe on chrome or firefox if you only store assets on that one computer, and only store assets. If you are afraid of being hacked, don't use that one computer/device to browse anywhere, like a wallet that is used only if there is a need.

Yes both I think are unquestionable browsers and a lot of people have used them too,
my own experience is using chrome and so far it's safe even though any browser i don't think there is any guarantee it won't be exploited or hacked,
so when using any browser we also need to be careful and always check it

Brave. Something cool about it is that it has a built in crypto wallet, which is good if you're just using Ethereum. If you're using other chains though you need the opera crypto browser, which has a built in wallet that supports more chains and an included proxy. The opera browser is safer than the Brave one because brave Tor does not work with metamask or the crypto wallet unless you use a web wallet like Lumi and a token like 0xMR.

I don't think it doesn't matter at all, it's online wallet so the burden is on you on how to protect your mnemonic phrase and keys.

You can't really avoid it, everything in the net is trying to get data from us to sell something in the future.

But personally, I have been using Brave for the last year or so and I don't have any problems at all.

Firefox is the most privacy oriented browser among the three. Brave used to say they are about privacy but they do not really practice that after they have become "commercialized". Both Chrome and Brave are also built on Chromium which we know as developed by Google. Look up on what Google has done to user data over the years.
