During this bear market we really need to be careful as the current market is really volatile.

I know what you feel about the current bearish trend is too early to end. The world is not yet recovered from so many problems that happened before. The bulltrap will always possible to happen. This can be an exit liquidity for the whale who wanna try to sell their coins soon.

Just like everyone else, i do not know when the bear market will end. But what i do know is that it is risky to buy alts anytime, but much more risky when the market is the way it is now, altcoins are more often than not pump and dump coins that are pumped by hype, and i am afraid there is no sort of 'hype' in the network at this very time. I had over 20 different coins in my portfolio before this fall, and if it was a bull run I would keep them all. It's not all of the altcoins are having this bad time right now. Polygon is having a great day in past 7 days and has pumped for more than 50% in 7 days which is really amazing considering whole bear market we are currently experiencing these days. I am not sure if "large" dumps could occur again. I get that there could be some drops, there is no denying that and I have to say that this is going to be something that is decent and go up soon, and I love that. But at the end off the day, it is not going to be something that is a huge dump, it is going to be something that is doing a bit weird if we see another 50% drop for example.

At anytime makes sense, but we are talking about bear market which means thats its going to be even worse right now for alts, you have to stay your cool and do not really make any mistakes at all. I personally try to avoid getting into alts, and even sell all my low level alts and only stay in top three, thats a lot better. This is because I believe that alts are more volatile than big coins, they could go down more and yes they could go up more too but I can't take that chance. This is why I personally stayed away from the alt world and went with just peak coins. In a bull run, I am careful about them but I can also take that risk because during bull run only a few do badly, or if you invest into a scam one, otherwise they will do fine.

The decline happened in 2018 and not in 2019, in fact in 2019 we started the year at 3.5k dollars, reached at a peak of 14k, and finished it as a YTD x2 price increase of 7k dollars start. That is what we are looking at if you ask me, it had a drop this year as well, but we are going to eventually go up again.

Or if it is like 2018 then I am expecting even a bigger crash by come November because that is what happened in 2018, where the price was around 6 to 8k and then crashed to under 4k during November. Its hard to consider that this bear market is now set to an end, there are more price downtrend along the way and that will all be possible as long as the market has not recover yet. However, regardless of how bearish or even bullish the market is, investing in altcoins will always bring high risk as the altcoins are always known as the playground of all scams. Yeah I agree when this bear market happens we should prepare our capital to invest step by step not in a one step. Don't forget to use money that you can afford to lose so that when the market continues falling you won't depress so much because your investment is down. The market is on a shaky wobbly leg right now. It could go towards 30k+ price (bitcoin) or it could go under 15k, and we have no idea which one it will do. I understand that people are confused right now and they do not know what to do and I agree that it is not an easy task.

I'm not buying any alts because there are too many risks associated with them. The price keeps going down and like you said, not a straight line yet. While would I risk to alts when BTC and ETH can still be at very high prices in the future. So even if the price of BTC or ETH keeps going down, they offer a lower risk compared to alts.
